Powdered wax is a bad idea
My daughter received not one but two of these kits for birthday gifts. They held her attention just about long enough for her to figure out that she was never going to get something that actually looks like a candle. The powdered wax is, I suppose, a safer alternative to melting wax in a double boiler but these things just DON'T resemble real candles at all. Besides, the wax powder is quite sticky, gets everywhere, doesn't stay in the glass candle holders, and burns unevenly. I'm afraid this is one of those examples of something which looks like fun just because it's in a "kit", but the stuff inside is pretty cheap. I'd recommend buying real candle-making supplies and just have parental supervision when heating the wax..this kit labeled "ages 9 and up", and most kids that age can use the stove easily when supervised.

All Dried Up
I went to toysrus and bought it with my allowance money! I was so excited to use it, that, as soon as i got home i opened it up to try. I was so dissapointed to see that everything was melted. The wax and all. Boohoo. I once, last year did get one that didnt melt, i was very pleased with it. Very!

Not exactly what I expected
My daughter received this as a gift and was really excited to try it.The product is made with little wax balls that stick to everything.It was difficult to get them into the little votives without spilling and they're hard to clean up.If you get this, make sure your table is well covered with newspaper.I was also disappointed because you have to keep the little votive in a container of water whenever you light it because it gets too hot.It could just be used as a decoration and not a candle, but you'd want to put it somewhere where it won't get knocked over because the wax would be a big mess. ... Cute activity, Cheap quality
This is a fun activity to do with a child, but honestly, it is cheap quality and not that asthetically pleasing. It is a great fine motor promoting activity - i actually bought it for my 12 yr old and realized that that it really was more appropriate for my 3 yr old. Rachael loves her "pretty things" and it is fun. Glue sticks well too.

fairly good.
the glass bottles hold up really well, and the glue works well also. the suncatcher is not vey durable at all, and the box is somewhere in the middle. it was a fun hour or so i spent with this kit, and i still have one of the bottles. i wouldn't recommend this to neat freaks (the little pieces go EVERYWHERE) but for anyone else it's pretty fun.

Makes a great gift

No Way
I would never reccomend this kit to ANYONE. I tried this and it took 2 hours just for the black outline paint to dry. The stain glass paint was all runny and sticky. It was all gloppy and really didn't show up on the bottles and I just bought the kit 2 days before. The black outline paint had almost no paint in it. This kit stinks and I will never buy this again. This happend the other 5 times I have bought this kit. It is a waste of money and has no educational value.

NEVER GET THIS TOY!
My sister recived this toy for a birthday present. A couple days later we started doing the craft and it is JUNK. I can't tell you how much you should not buy this toy it is a waste of money andthe paint starts pealing off an hour after you paint it, and you can't even see the paint. Never Get This Toy. We just wanted to warn you!!!

Great idea but flawed

Cheap piece of junk
Granddaughter, 5, knocked her vase over on the table and
it broke in sharp shards.7 year old grandchild hadgreat
difficultity with the raised paint. Her's looked like a
3 year old did it.

We didn't attempt the flowers of bead, I just threwthem out.

not what the box shows
My daughter really loved doing the project. As a craft, it was great.But I was really disappointed in the excessive packaging.Only about a quarter of the outside box was used for product, the rest was just cardboard filler.Also, the box has 25 rhinestones in the picture, but only 6 inside (what a let down!).And the enlarged photo exaggerates what is actually 3 small bottles.

A Glitter Kit with ADDITUDE
I purchased this item for myself and I opened it up an dfell in love with it. It has well thought out directions AND patterns on the back of the directions if you want to use them. It's a wonderful kit for kids who want to use their imagination. "What happens when my child usees the whole kit, he/she won't be able to use the kit anymore?", you ask yourself. Not Anymore! y doo no toys stae together after my hamer?
ok. i under-stand y sum toys break when i hit it wid my ultralite sooper hamer hiter thing but i expectad this quale-ity peece of toy to stae together. all in all it was cool. in 2 minootes i had alredy made 4 buttons!!! this is cool cuse it usully takes hours to evin strt makin 1 button. its educashonal cuse after it breaks u could count the peeces or sumthin, how the hell shud i no?

Have to give this a thumbs down.
Great toy but no one sells refills!I've been trying to find and purchase refills since Christmas.I give up.The toy is going in the trash.I'm tired of my daughter asking.Badnai won't help.They tell me to go back to the store where I bought the toy.What good is a toy you can't buy refills for?None in my book.However, it would have been a great toy if I had been able to buy materials to keep using it.As it is, it was a couple of hours of fun for my daughter followed by many hours of frustration for me.I won't be buying anything made by Bandai anytime soon.

I would not recommend buying this toy unless you know where to buy refills and if you do, please let me know.I'm through looking.

If you were just dying to buy somthing you could buy this but it is not a good value and the lock does not work to well it is also very small.

This diary is not what it looks like on the cover, either does the pen.THey should give spare keys because I lost mine.

This diary is a nightmare!We made the mistake of making it a gift from Santa for our 7 year-old.Now, we have to explain why Santa would give such a lame gift.The diary, itself, is smaller than my hand.The pages were all stuck together.I actually had to separate them page by page.It looks NOTHING like the picture on the box and, most annoyingly, the lock is absolutely impossible to open.Even the directions warn you that the lock is very difficult to open with the key.We're going straight out to buy a good old-fashioned diary.Shame on this company for promoting such a disappointing product! ... The Kewlest Toy EVER
I got one of these tote bags when I was 13 (now 16). I have used it as a purse and the great thing about it is that every day, or whenever I feel like it, i can change it. the good thing about the good thing about that is that I don't have to buy a bunch of purses. I just have to redecorate my CLIKITS one. I think this is the GREATEST thing ever. I think everyone should have one!

FUN- Not enough material
This is a great toy! My 6 year old daughter received it as a gift and she loves it. My only complaint is there is not enough material with the kit. My daughter created all the flowers in one sitting! I went to 9 different craft stores before I finally found daiseys so she could make more. I suggest ordering refill kits as soon as you open the box.

My daughter loves it
We received this as a gift and my 5 year old daughter loves it - she operates it by herself and it has kept her entertained for long stretches at a time. While her creations may not look like those on the box, she seems to love them.Unlike other reviewers, we haven't found it difficult to use, had no problem following the directions, and my daughter uses it without needing any help. We quickly ran out of supplies (my only complaint), but a refill order form came in the box, and the refills seem to be rather inexpensive. Hopefully they will arrive soon.

Doesn't live up to the hype but my daughter enjoys it.
This will not make flowers that look anything like what is pictured on the box. However, my 7 year old enjoys creating them and is satisfied with the product.Her expectations were not as high as my own.
My biggest complaint thus far is being unable to find refills anywhere. The RoseArt site does not carry them and multiple online and in-store searches have not turned them up. My daughter quickly used up what came with the Fuzzy Flower Maker and is now decorating pencils with it. If we can't find refills soon it will probably end up in her closet not even a month after Christmas. ... Read more

A Childs Wacky Fun

Great gift!
My kids (ages 5-10) loved this kit!It was very easy to do, and not too time consuming for a busy MOM!Ithink it could have used another mold, but besides that, I highly recommend!

Lots of Fun
I made the soap today with my 8 year-old nephew and 7 year-old niece.They both had a wonderful time and made really cute soap bars.This toy does require direct adult involvement - the melted soap gets very hot, but the end product is well worth the effort.The instructions are clear and accurate.The only down side for us was that this kit included only one soap mold. Two or more would have been better.
