At a compact 22 inches long, this Barbie Preschool Scooter is a goodchoice as a child's first scooter. Made of sturdy metal with a durable plasticplatform to stand on and plastic grips on both handles, the scooter combines acolorful floral motif in the popular Barbie colors and styling with a simplestructural design and durable components. The scooter's front handlebar isadjustable for height, and kids can store all their favorite Barbie dolls andother toys inside the see-through storage pouch that mounts on the front. 5-0 out of 5 stars A hit with our four kids ages 2,3,4 & 6
I was skeptical when my husband asked me to purchase this scooter, and I actually went to the toy store to look at it.It appeared well built, and after watching my four oldest kids ride it for two days straight, I was glad I listened to him.One of our kids will grab this scooter the minute another one gets off of it.The two back wheels offer a good amount of stability, and my two year old is even able to handle herself on it.This was the hit of the day, and we are going to end up purchasing another one.It is so fun for them, they are having a difficult time at sharing!

5-0 out of 5 stars Barbie Scooter
We purchased this scooter for my 2 year old daughter at Christmas time. She used it in the house for about 4 months, now that we are outside, she enjoy's it even more.Perfect for ages 2-5.All the kids want to ride on it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Buy
This gift was given to my then 3 1/2 year old daughter from 'Santa'.That Christmas day the poor thing did not get a moment of rest. She was so amazed that she could ride a scooter and the fact that it was a Barbie scooter was just icing on the cake.I was a bit worried about my tile flooring but when I saw the rubber wheels they were all put to rest. The extra balance of the back wheels gave her a lot of confidence especially when she went riding with the bigger kids.Durability is great.A few of the much bigger children have taken rides on it and it has definately stood up to the test. Now, my 2 year old son has taken a liking to it.Wouldn't it be great if a 'Ken' scooter was made? ... Editorial Review

A no-frills, traditional girl's scooter with lots of Barbiestyle, plus a useful twist--training wheels. With the training wheelson, a child can learn at low speed. When they come off, the 10-inchsolid rubber main wheels offer lots of opportunity for revving up andmoving; fortunately, there's a nice wide metal plate operating arelatively effective heel brake (which is to say: it's good as heelbrakes go, but we wouldn't trust it on a steep hill).--Richard Farr ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Handle bars too low
My daughter is 5 years old. I bought her the scooter for Christmas. She was very excited. One problem the handle bar is too low. What should I do? I can't take it back because she would be very upset. The other scooters are too big. This one is appropriate for her age. Please give advise.

4-0 out of 5 stars Nice scooter
Bought this for my 5 year old daughter and she loves it. It rides nice and she can get some good speed on it.

I didn't have any problems assembling it. Not sure why others are complaining about it.

If your kid loves Barbie and wants a scooter this would be a great buy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Lots of fun...Happy 6 yr. old!!
My daughter has been very happy with this Barbie Scooter which she received for her 6th B-day several months ago.The tires are a bit wider than a scooter for an older child, which is helpful to her in learning to balance on it. We did not put the training wheels on.I'm curious to see how well the tires hold up.The material they are made of (A foam/plastic type of material) doesn't seem like it would be very durable, but so far, so good!
The bike was assembled when we purchased it, so I cannot make any comments on assembly.

Money well spent I feel. ... Read more

    Editorial Review

Be forewarned! Once your toddler's taken the Barbie Low Rider tricycle for a first spin, she may not want to get off of it. She'll love tooling around the driveway and cruising along the sidewalk on this super-cool set of wheels, with its smooth ride, bright colors, and decorative Barbie styling. It's got a sturdy metal frame and comes with solid white rubber wheels, the back two set far apart for added balance and stability. Flower decals and stripes, along with the Barbie logo, decorate most of the tricycle. Children can also bring their favorite Barbies along for the ride by stowing them in the stylish plastic flower-print bag that easily attaches to the handlebars. Adult assembly is required. ... I bought this trike last summer when my daughter wasn't yet 2.The instructions weren't that great but I had bought a similar trike for my older 14 yo daughter years ago, so that wasn't a problem. (plus I'm very handy and don't ever wait for my husband) Now that she is almost three the handlebars are way too high for her still in the lowest position, and for some reason she still can't get the whole idea of peddling yet. (Sophie is a very big 2 1/2 year old.)
My husband thinks it's because the pedals are out to the front of her instead of under. So she just scoots all over in it. The little pouch for the handle bars she took off last summer.I think this year we will replace this trike with something where she has the pedals under her instead of in front of her and see if the peddling idea will click. It's still a fun bike and yes it does tip over but most any trike will if you crank on it too hard.

5-0 out of 5 stars Love it!
We got this for my daughter's 3rd birthday because she is small. She LOVES this bike. She rides it inside and out. We had tried several other bikes and they were too big or tipped over. This bike is perfect plus, of course, it's a Barbie bike so that was a good seller too! I highly recommend it. Oh yes, we purchased ours already put together.

4-0 out of 5 stars getting it together
The bike is very good once you get it together. The directions that came with it were awful. They were blury and didn't make since.I had to figure it out on my own. They might as well have not been included.Other than that the bike fit my 18 mo old daughter perfectly. And she loves to little backpack in the front. She stores everything in it.Steering is a little difficult. If you turn too hard the bike will tip over but I think that all trikes will.Over all wonderful toy. ... For a very small Barbie who's threatening to grow fast, thisall-plastic, big-wheel trike has a seat that can be switched easily(without using tools) between any of three positions on the diagonalcentral frame. The included decals represent a headlamp and aspeedometer, and there are also Barbie stickers to decorate the sides. The only working control is a knob in the center, just below thehandlebars, that clicks when it's turned.

2-0 out of 5 stars Too Hard To Steer
My daughter received this as a gift for her 2nd birthday. It is much too difficult/tight to steer. She is now going to be 4 and this past spring I bought her the Barbie Bike with training wheels and she zips around on this bike. Meanwhile this little bike she can't even ride.Your better off getting a real bicycle/tricycle.

5-0 out of 5 stars Worth the Money
We bought this bike for our two daughters and they have gotten so much use out of it.Our oldest was 2 when we bought it but she was almost 3 before she really started to ride it well. Now she is 5 so this bike has lasted for 2 years with 2 daughters riding it alot.Unfortunately the front wheel is now wearing out but we really can't complain for this price ... We just wish it would last one more year as our girls are starting to ride 16" bikes.I hate to buy another one but they really love this bike in addition to their other bikes so we probably will buy one more. ... Editorial Review

Safety first, then cuteness--that's the official Barbie bikechecklist. This 16-inch Barbie 2000 comes through on both counts as areliable tooling-around-the-neighborhood bike. The all-steel framerides on forgiving knobby tires with coaster brakes and detachabletraining wheels for those still learning. Padding on the handlebars, the adjustable seat, and the 18-inch-high top tube provide an extrameasure of comfort and safety. (And while this isn't the sort of bikeyou want out after hours anyway, you might want to consider addingfront, rear, and side reflectors, just in case.) All cutenesscomponents have been comprehensively covered: pink and purple flowerscover the bike, and there are even plastic flowers in the wheels and apicture of Her Divine Pinkness on the front stem. The Barbie 2000 alsocomes with a small backpack (pink, of course) that holds abattery-operated radio for playing tunes on the road. --Paul Hughes ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Good bike bad radio
When my little daughter received this as her birthday present she was so happy. Then to find out it had a backpack everygirls dream but wait she said there is also a radio. She was over joyed, but upon putting the bike together and taking the radio out to put batteries in it we relized the radio was defective.
So needless to say my daughter was heartbroken. I tried to call and write toys r us.com whom sold the bike they said in order to get he bike back all we had to do was return the bike. Omg we thought how could we,we have already put it together and she loves it. They could not replace the radio due to the fact that they don't carry just the radio. So i called a toys r us store they said that if we bought it there we could return it but since it was online it had to be dealt with online. toysrus online said call the manufacturer. We tried we can never get ahold of them so if you are buying this with the idea of a radio odds are it is not going to work. My husband tried to open it to see the problem the knobs are not even connected they just kinda float on the plastic.Rating 2 based on a childs saddness.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great value
for the price you can't go wrong. My grandaughter uses this every day and it has held up wonderfully.

3-0 out of 5 stars Poorly-made and dangerous
The chainguard on this bike is made of flimsy plastic, and the main gear is stamped out of very soft metal. It's about as pliable as the lid of a tin can.Any impact to these frail components (casued by a light collision with another bike, for instance) will bend the gear, which will cause the chain to fall off, which will cause the brake to fail. The results could be tragic.Instead of packaging this truly inferior product with all the Barbie frills and a useless backpack and a miserable little radio, the maker could have spenty a few more cents on the parts of the bike itself. ... So you may not want your child sitting on a toy instead of activily engaging~ I agree but when your child needs a break from his or herself running around; this is a great toy to have them play with. It does not over work them and they have fun. If your child is lazy-do not get this toy. This is only for the child that does not stop and the folks that want them to have fun yet need them to SIT down!

Great toy!I bought it for my daughters 3rd birthday and it took her a good 3-4 months of practicing in order to drive it without assistance. What I like about it is that the car has two gears, she learned in slow, now she speeds around in the higher (5 mph) gear and it's large enough for her and a playmate to ride around in together. The flashing lights are fun, but the PA system (CB Radio) doesn't work that well - it's not very loud.I would recommend this item for those who aren't worried about budget. For those looking for a more economical buy, the smaller barbie car or barbie motorcycle will provide just as much fun and enjoyment for your child. I would also recommend purchasing an extra battery. ... Read more

My three year old has been wanting one of these toys ever since she saw my neighbors son on a power wheels motor cycle, so I had to buy this. This is a really fun toy for toddlers, it holds up great. My daughter will ride it until the battery dies. I would recommend this toy for anyone who has a toddler!

5-0 out of 5 stars WOW..Look at her go!
My 3 yr old daughter received this for Christmas ( actually she was still 2 then). It was the perfect gift.It is much easier to steer than the jeeps and the speed of 3.5 mph was just about right for her then.My only suggestion would be that if you have a daredevil, speed demon child like mine, you might want to go with another similar model that goes 5 mph. At 3 and 1/2, my daughter has already outgrown the speed and is ready for bigger faster toys. The otherkids in the neighborhood still love it, though.Oh...the pink and purple color is just great for little girls.

5-0 out of 5 stars great toy
i read all the reviews from this toy and i agree with all the good reviews. it works great on sidewalks, if u want something to go off roading (grass)then u should try looking at the power wheels jeep... my daughter has fun with this and shes only 20 months old. this toy should be only for up to 3 years, there are other power wheels that are for 3 years and up, and on the box it does say 2mph, u have to remember this is for a small kid, u dont want them to be speed racer now do u? but this toy is great even my 8 month old likes to see her sister play in it. love it....

1-0 out of 5 stars Save your money
We bought this for our little girl when she was about 18 months old, when it would not drive we thought she might not weigh enough so we kept it hoping it would eventually work. She is now 4 years old and this vehicle has never worked right. The battery and charger work just fine, there is just no traction.Called into customer service and they told me to use a traction belt, it still did not work.

5-0 out of 5 stars Not a bad car for the price
I bought this VW beetle for my 22 month old daughter and she loves it.I was hesitant about buying this one because of all the bad reviews it got, and the fact that the specs clearly state that it is only for HARD SURFACES and not grass (which is where she primarily uses it).I compared this one with the Lil' Trail Rider ATV - they both have the same voltage battery and same max speed but, for some reason, the Lil' Trail Rider said it ran on grass.I figured if that ran on grass then why not this one?So I brought it home, plugged in the battery charger and put the car together (2 hours!).Even though the instructions said to charge the battery for 18 hours before first use, I thought I'd test it out just to make sure it would ride on the grass and it rode fine.My daughter rode around our back yard for about 30 min and it even went up a little slope with no problem! It DOES ride a lot better on the driveway, but I'm very happy with it's performance on the grass. It's a little slow (max 2.5 MPH) and my concern is that the older/heavier she gets, it will only get slower.Guess I'll have to wait and see.

P.S.I went to Toys R Us to buy this 'cause I didn't want to pay shipping charges and in the store it was $149.99.I told them that on-line it was only $99.98 and they matched the price! ... Read more
