    Chicco Flip 'n Play Table
Average Customer Review: 4.5 out of 5 stars
    Toy
    list price: $24.99
US | Canada | United Kingdom | Germany | France

    Editorial Review

Variety is the spice of life, especially for toddlers. The Flip 'n Play table answers the call. It comes with a two-sided insert and stands 13 inches off the ground. The table's strong point is its vast array of features: a miniature rotary phone, a small flipbook of circus animals, three each insert number and letter shapes, a jingling flip handle, a clock with spinning hands, and a mobile of colorful, spinning "balls within balls." But that's not all. A lever easily activates a circular train track with attachable train. A button next to the lever sets off an authentic train sound. Flip the entire insert over and you have a building table for blocks of squares, circles, rectangles, pyramids, and cat and dog heads (all included). Your child can build a multiplicity of configurations. For even more fun, add to this play center from a wide range of available accessories. --Sandy Hirsch ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Terrific Table
It's got bells--and whistles! Plays train sounds and the clack clack bell sound of a train crossing. You wind up the track for the train manually, put the train on it and away you go. I LOVE the fact that this toy is not a battery-eater like most of his others, and that it does double duty as a block-building table, too! Alex at 17 months still plays with this; we got it for him at 9 1/2 months. He loves to take the top off and sit in it, or sit on the floor on his knees in front of it and use the inside area for a little table to eat a snack off of. He has his own table and chairs, but sometimes he prefers to use this. THERE ARE NO SONGS THAT PLAY, AND NONE WERE ADVERTISED, despite a previous reviewers comments. There are two versions of this table available--this one, and the so-called new, improved, electronic, musical version, which I think pales in comparison to this original. Who needs one more musical toy that does everything but allow the kid to use their imagination and play? Not me! And if you want a good old-fashioned toy, that your kid will love for a long time and that will stand up to that type of use, get this. You'll be glad you did. I only wish I could find more of the plastic blocks that come with this by themselves, rather than in playsets that are sold separately.

2-0 out of 5 stars too late for my 1 year old!
I think I missed the boat on this one; I bought it for xmas for my 13 month old and the only real play it gets is when my daughter and her 3 year old brother take off the "play top" and sit inside it!They think thats fun but thats about it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome Toy
We bought this table based on other parent reviews, and though we couldn't find it locally the shipping cost was well worth it.
Our 11 month old twins love this toy, and when they get done playing with the activity center they pull it all apart and play even longer. The best part is it seems virtually indestructible, and only one small part uses a battery, the train track just winds up. We're very happy with this purchase. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars My daughter loves this toy!
I bought this toy for my daughter when she was about 4 months old.It quickly became her favorite crib toy.She thought the mirror was interesting but she loved the music and lights. It didn't take long for her to figure out how to make it play. After a very short while the music (which is very nice compared to some toys out there) would be the first sounds I would hear in the morning...she would wake up and immediately begin playing with it and I could "sleep in" for an extra 30 min while she was playing away!My daughter is now 2 1/2 and still wants to play with this toy even though it's now been given to the new baby!

5-0 out of 5 stars This toy was love at first sight ( and self sight! )
I bought this toy as a Christmas gift for infant twins that I was caring for, and from the instant the paper was torn off, they were fascinated by seeing themselves in the mirror. Of course, the concept of it being them was beyond them at their age, but they absolutely loved seeing something stare back at them. Eventually, they figured out how to make the star sides light up, and that was just sheer delight for them. The little girl fell asleep to the music many times, and it kept her soothed and sleeping with it's repeating song patterns, ( which made it alot easier for me, since she tended to be a light and restless sleeper! The steady music kept her calm and sleeping! ).

This was definitely a great choice, and a toy that I know they will enjoy for quite a long time to come! I recommend it for anyone whose looking for a bright and inviting way of engaging your little one in music, observation and general self amusement and play!

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Mirror
We bought this mirror since it played music but our daughter is not really interested in it right now.But other than that it seems to be a great product but make sure to have lots of batteries since they have already died and she hardly ever used it. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A must have
My son in almost 2 and he loves this toy. He uses it every day. One of my best buys! This is the toy we always bring along when we go to someone's house.Great indoors and out!

5-0 out of 5 stars Better than more expensive versions.
The delight on my daughter's face when she plays with this toy is priceless, but it was only $19.99...don't waste your money on more expensive versions with bells and whistles. This is the IT toy for learning to walk. By the way, I thought it might be too light and slip out from under her, but that has not been a problem!

5-0 out of 5 stars a nice toy- but not a walker
...It is really better for kids who have their balance, since it can tip. My daughter got this for her 1st B-day & NEVER touched it. But I kept it for my son, who loved it but the toys do get stuck in it & then it is hard to push & makes kids mad. It also tips easily-it doesn't have the piece on the bottom to prevent tipping. It really is for kids that walk w minimal help. It is NOT for teaching kids to walk, as they could fall & get hurt, since it clogs & tips easily. I would reccommend a walker w a trianglar piece on bottom to prevent tipping to very-new walkers. ... Read more

    Editorial Review

It's called "the Mozart Effect," the notion that exposing youngsters tothe melodies of the maestro can improve verbal ability, spatial intelligence, creativity, and memory. It's a pretty big leap of faith to understand that effect unless you personally see a toddler react to the stimulation. The Baby Einstein folks have a series of tapes (Baby Einstein, Baby Bach) that add visual stimulation to the bouncy recordings (using vibraphone, Rhodes electric piano, and even a glockenspiel). The melodies are heard against colorful imagery of spinning tops, wave machines, soft baby toys, mobiles, and the like. Several parenting groups and magazines have heralded the tapes for children 1 to 36 months, but the Orwellian aspect of introducing babes in arms to the TV screen may cause many to just pick up the CD. --Doug Thomas ... 1-0 out of 5 stars What a waste of money.
This was my first Baby Einstein purchase....and MY LAST !. I found this DVD to be insulting to the intelligence of infants and toddlers.

This was truly a waste of money !

1-0 out of 5 stars In my opinion, another Baby Einstein flop
A lot of the toys shown in the dvd are the same old toys in the other Baby Einstein videos. This, like most Baby Einstien videos, have the typical toys, spinning things, shiny things and puppets. What really is the purpose of this?No words are spoken in this video. There is no live-action when it comes to the pictures of fruits, vegetables, animals, etc. They are just still pictures/photos.I just can't believe some of these Baby Einstein videos! It seems like they just have an idea or two and try to fill up a half hour tape and make tons of money marketing this to parents who think they are doing their children something wonderful, helpful and educational by purchasing them. And yet people will sing praises about it.I just don't get it.I have watched and reviewed 16 Baby Einstein videos and out of them all there are only 4 that I liked. They are Baby Neptune (water), Baby Newton (shapes), Baby Galileo (sky) and Numbers Nursery (1 - 5).The rest are such a waste of money and time, in my opinion.I couldn't even begin to think of letting my child sit and watch all but the four I think are decent. How can this nonsense be good for their little minds??I have written reveiws for them all.

1-0 out of 5 stars What's wrong with real music?
My 14 month old has been listening to orchestral music since before she was born and loves it!! Why can't they use the real music on these DVD's? I can't stand the cheap synthesizer versions of this music. It is actually more educational for them to listen to the WHOLE ORCHESTRA and become familiar with all those sounds. Besides, they have also removed all the "musical" aspects of the actual music - no dynamics, no emotion. I think someone just decided that it would be more cost-effective to make a cheap synthesizer version of these tunes. I think it is mind-numbing. My daughter taps her feet and nods her head just fine to the orchestral versions of these pieces. (expecially Vivaldi's Four Seasons and the Bach Brandenburg Concertos!!) ... Read more

62-Piece Fun Foam Numbers & Letters Mat Set
Average Customer Review: 4.0 out of 5 stars
    Toy (18 November, 2003)

US | Canada | United Kingdom | Germany | France

    Editorial Review

One of the first steps in learning to read words and solve mathproblems is being able to recognize and label symbols. While your babymay not be naming the entire alphabet or managing multiplication by thetime she's 1 year old, this interlocking set certainly offers a firmfoundation for future reading and math learning. Each 12-by-12-inchpuzzle piece contains an easy-to-grasp, pullout numeral or letter ofthe alphabet; there are 60 pieces in all. Parents may need to helpyoung toddlers with assembling the mat, since it requires more detailedpuzzle-fitting skills. But children as young as 1 year old might beable to fit the large letters and numbers into the slots by themselves. This also makes a comfortable tumbling mat or a nicely cushioned playarea. The set comes in a clear vinyl storage case with a zip closure.--Hannah Reynolds ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Works great as a soft play area!
I purchased this toy for my 9 month old son. We have hardwood floors throughout our house and it works great as a soft play area. Due to his age, I didn't expect him to play with it as a puzzle or understand the letters. He does chew on the various pieces. I have to watch to make sure he doesn't bite any pieces off but so far it hasn't been any issue. He likes to pull it apart but it's so easy to put back together...it usually only takes a few minutes. I think it's a great activity for him and a good introduction to letters and puzzles. I also have dogs and I love this playmat because it can easily be wiped down and cleaned. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this product and would highly recommend it.

5-0 out of 5 stars excellent toy
First in response to other posts- I agree. Although this is a toy with big pieces and it's cushy it really is not meant for little kiddos. Teething babies chewing on this will leave bit marks on the pieces.

Having said that- this is a favorite at our house.

The pieces are easy to put together. They are big enough for little fingers to put the letters and numbers in the right hole with little effort. They also connect together to build things (such as cubes, boxes, walls). This makes it more than just a puzzle.

I look for toys that are easy to play with that encourage creative play and exploration. IF they are somewhat educational, then that is better. I also look for toys that have more than a button to push that makes noise or lights go on. I like toys that are somewhat quiet.

This toy fits into that completely.

We also take this with us outside and play with it. It gives the baby and nice clean place to sit.It is easy to set up and stores very compactly. It cleans off very easily.

THis is just a great toy and well played with at our house.
    Enjoy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very soft and educational playmat
I got this for my children's room, a 3 year old boy and a 6 month old girl. We love sitting on it and playing since it makes a soft playmat on our hardwood floors as well as minimizing noise. It's very large so the family fits easily on it!My son loves to take all the letters out and put them back where they belong or jump between letters. He already knew all the letters when I got this mat but it has only emphasized his fascination with letters and added a new dimension to our word and letter play as well as other games. Cars and balls roll easily on it. The mat has numbers 0-9 which is good. The 6 month old has spit and drooled on it a bit and I have found it easy to clean under running water and wipe dry. ... The Sparkling Symphony Gym surrounds kids--from cooing, curious babies to budding toddler maestros--with a stimulating, interactive environment that features the soothing classical music ofMozart, Beethoven, and others (five selections in all). For newborns, the gym can provide continuouslights, sound, and music, as your baby looks up at a twinkling display overhead. 5-0 out of 5 stars Great toy!!!
My daughter is now 5 months old and she loves this toy.She loves to look at the lights and listen to the music. The music will play continuously for 10 minutes. It comes with 2 settings for the volume which is helpful.I also like that when she is older she will still be able to play with it since it converts to a stand up piano.Worth every penny!

4-0 out of 5 stars good toy if baby can stay still
I bought this toy when she was 4 months and she liked it for a little bit mainly watching the lights but she would kick the unit away from her so she couldnt play under it and she would get frustrated and at that time she only laid on her back so I though it would be great for her.Now that she is 6 months old I put it in the sitting position and I actually set it on top of her walker so the links are at her stomach and the piano is within reach and she loves it.She takes off the links and plays with them and giggles with the musicand bangs on the piano keys and now she is frustrated only when I take it away from her.I think it works great but you just have to figure out how to get them to stay within reach of the toy.

1-0 out of 5 stars Terrible toy
My mother purchased this toy for my now 6 month old son second hand. It is such a stupid toy. I would much rather have him play with a keyboard with more than 5 keys. He likes keyboards with more keys a whole lot more. And this toy is a nuisance to store. It takes up so much space. ... Read more

    Editorial Review

The gentle rhyming and gorgeous, tissue-paper collage illustrations in this classic picture book make it a dog-eared favorite on many children's bookshelves. On each page, we meet a new animal who nudges us onward to discover which creature will show up next: "Blue Horse, Blue Horse, What do you see? I see a green frog looking at me." This pattern is repeated over and over, until the pre-reader can chime in with the reader, easily predicting the next rhyme. One thing readers might not predict, however, is just what kinds of funny characters will make an appearance at the denouement! Children on the verge of reading learn best with plenty of identifiable images and rhythmic repetition. Eric Carle's good-humored style and colorful, bold illustrations (like those in The Very Hungry Caterpillar, The Grouchy Ladybug, and Have You Seen My Cat?) have earned him a prominent place in the children's book hall of fame.(Baby to Preschool) --Emilie Coulter ... A friend read this book to my child, then around 11 months old, while she was babysitting him at her house. He enjoyed it so much that she gave him a copy for his birthday. He really likes this book.I like it because it is quite different from your typical board book/preschool book.It is a refreshing change of pace from the typical story lines. My friend, who is a former teacher, says that the repetition is good for children.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Artwork, Wonderful Book
My 3 year old daughter loves this book. We ususally read "Brown Bear, Brown Bear" first. Then we read this one. My daughter has stuffed animals and Fisher Price toys of each of the animals in this book. She likes to line them up and pick up each one as we read about them in the book. Wonderful.

A few weeks ago, my 13 month old son came home from daycare with this note on his daily sheet "Today we read Polar Bear, Polar, What Do You Hear over and over again.Everytime I tried to read him another book, he would push it away and point to Polar Bear".Every day since this, his daily sheet has ended with "...and we read Polar Bear"My son has favorite books at home and since he enjoys this one so much, I wanted to add it to our collection.I also ordered the Brown Bear and Panda Bear books, hoping he will like them just as much.

5-0 out of 5 stars Interactive
This is a fun interactive book about the animals in the zoo and the sounds they make. It's a great vocabulary builder, since it uses words that small kids may not hear every day.The book is quite enjoyable for kids who like animals, and not at all scary. The story may get kids wound up, however, so it might not be the best choice for a bedtime story. The book has about 200 words. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Dangerous for teethers!
We never got around to reading this book because my baby went right for mouthing it. A minute later I saw her face was covered in black specks of ink because the cover had started to disintegrate. The ink was really hard to get off and plenty was ingested. She mouths all of her board books and this has only happened with this one.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of Ana's favorites.
My 2-year-old (in may) niece loves this. She recognizes it by name, pulls it out to request it, everything.

I don't find it hard to read at all. I agree, it probably *should* be sung, but I find it simple to just chant the book.

The only caveat I'd put here is that you should read this book *first* in your bedtime routine. It's a bit active, and you're likely to end up with a bouncy baby if this is the only book you read. So read Pajama Time, and then follow it up with a more calming book - Goodnight Moon, The Going to Bed Book, The Napping House, whatever you read to your kid.

One of our favorite Boynton books (and we DO love them ALL)We have read it almost every night since my 2 year old nephew was born. Now, he sits in our lap as we bounce him to the left, bounce him to the right!
This book is also a great way to teach children that our voices can be loud and soft, and a kind way to teach the meaning of "hush, hush!"Like other Boynton books, it has a nice rhythm, and you can turn your nightly reading into a sing along! ... Read more

    Editorial Review

For a little one who is reluctant to go to bed, sometimes a silly bookis just the ticket. And when it comes to silly books, Sandra Boynton is theundisputed queen. In The Going to Bed Book, an ark full of animalswatches the sun go down and then prepares for bed. They take a bath ("in one bigtub"), find pajamas, brush their teeth, do exercises up on deck (imagine anelephant jumping rope, a moose lifting weights, and a pig doing handstands), andfinally say good night.

The moon is high. The sea is deep.
    They rock
    and rock
    and rock
    to sleep.
Boynton's inimitable animal characters have graced the pages of scads of picturebooks over the years. She has an extraordinary knack for knowing what appeals tosmall children: simple rhymes, goofy animals in goofy settings, and sweet, comforting stories. This book, along with her many other board-book titles(Moo, Baa, La La La!,But Not the Hippopotamus, and others) will surely remain a favorite. (Baby to preschool) --EmilieCoulter ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Bedtime charmer
I've read this to our little girl since she was one year old. She loves the pictures, likes to name the animals, point to the moon, etc. Now that she's two, we're using it to spell out the whole "going to bed" routine -- bath, pajamas, brush teeth, exercise, sleep. ESPECIALLY the "brush their teeth" part.
But there are times that I can't get her calmed down unless I have the lights completely off. The verse is so simple, I've memorized it and can just recite it to her, with fast results.

5-0 out of 5 stars Boynton's Best Bedtime Bet!
This book is one book we truly adore. My son seemed magnetized to this book. This was one of the first books I read to him at bedtime...whether nighttime or naptime. We love this better than Goodnight Moon.I actually can read the book to my son with my eyes close after a couple of readings. The rhyming text flows so smoothly, that makes reading so fun, easy and addicting.I never liked reading but this hooked me to doing so daily.I'd even whisper the repetitive texts to my son's ear, which he likes so much.He gives me a rewarding giggle for that.Phrases we like most are:

"The sun has set not long ago.
    Now everybody goes below
To take a bath in one big tub
    With soap all over, SCRUB-SCRUB-SCRUB!!!"

"They hang their towels on the wall
And find pajamas, big and small.
With some on top and some beneath,
They BRUSH and BRUSH and BRUSH their teeth."

"And when the moon is on the rise,
They all go up to exercise!
And down once more but not so fast,
They're on their way to bed at last."

"The day is done, They say goodnight,
And somebody turns off the light.
The moon is high. The sea is deep.
They ROCK and ROCK and ROCK to sleep."

One great buy, One great treasure to keep forever in our hearts.I highly recommend this Boynton Book.

    Grey Chicco High Chair
Average Customer Review: 3.5 out of 5 stars
    Baby Product

    Editorial Review

Although it's one of the more expensive highchairs on the market, this Chicco Mamma highchair is equipped with a number of design features that make it a pleasure to use--and worth the extra money. Mounted on four plastic casters (including two that lock down), the Chicco Mamma starts with a sturdy metal-and-plastic frame that can be smoothly collapsed and folded by pushing the two child-safe buttons located on either side of the seat. As a result, you can store the chair in a space-saving upright position or roll it into the closet when not in use. All of the chair's size and positioning adjustments, including six different height settings and three angles of recline, are easy to make and work smoothly. Sporting a solid grey seat back with a navy blue infant insert that can be removed as your child grows, the chair's vinyl seat cover can be quickly wiped down after meals, and the wide food tray is equipped with a one-hand tray release on the outside so Mom and Dad can attach the tray or make size adjustments while holding a child with the other arm. To keep baby safely seated before, during, and after meals, the Chicco Mamma comes with a thick five-point harness. --Chris Burns ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great customer service
I just started using the Chicco Mamma to feed my 5 month old son. It's the only chair we've ever had, so there's nothing to compare it to, but we really like it. Also, we had some trouble with the one we received at our shower and Chicco was incredible with helping us fix the problem. I've read over and over how so many juvenile product companies are terrible about customer service- Chicco was fantastic and really went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied.

2-0 out of 5 stars Tray too far from baby, cracks hard to clean
This chair has some very nice features. It is sturdy, rolls around the kitchen easily, wipes clean--inlcluding the seat cover, and reclines.I thought with the insert that the baby would be close enough to the tray.We have to put towel behind my one year old to keep the food out of her lap. I love the ease of moving it around the kitchen and it is very well built. If they would change the tray design, including the crack around the edge (a pain to clean with a toddler), I would buy it again.Right now, I would definitely pass. There are cheaper, better chairs out there.

1-0 out of 5 stars Bad design of a tray
I received this highchair at my shower and everyone gave me raving reviews of this highhchair. After using it for 5 months, I have retired it. Besides all of the crazy cracks in it, the tray does not come in close enough to the baby and food falls in her lap. It drives me crazy! The only thing I like is the design. ... Read more

    Cascade Car Seat
Average Customer Review: 4.5 out of 5 stars
    Baby Product

US | Canada | United Kingdom | Germany | France

    Editorial Review

The beloved Britax Roundabout, a fully reclining,forward- and rear-facing child seat, is one of the most popularseats--with testers and parents alike--on the market. This model has an impossibly soft velvety/suede-like color and feel. It really is one of the softest fabrics we've encountered on a car seat in some time. Good looks aside, this seat is simply one of the best. It may cost a little more, but with an array of safety features that make some others pale in comparison, it is well worth the extra dollars. It features a patented lock-off clamp, which replaces the standard locking clip, tangle-free belt holders, a five-point harness, three adjustable shoulder heights, sculpted seat base, easy recline adjustment, and a tether. Little testers found the seat to be incredibly comfortable with its high back, deeply padded high-wing sides, and Comfort Foam and EPS foam (similar to that used in protective headgear). This seat is to be used in a rear-facing position for infants up to 30 pounds, orforward-facing for toddlers weighing 20 to 40 pounds. The Britax Roundabout is also approved for aircraft use. --Melissa Wilson ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Too much hype about Britax seats
I purchased a Roundabout this week after the harness mechanism from my Alpha-Omega broke.I was pressed to buy a new seat quickly, and figured I couldn't lose by buying Britax.I was wrong, and it is going back this weekend.I am impressed with how well it secures into the backseat- very simple with plenty of added safety features, such as the lock-offs.But I have two issues with the seat: 1) the harness buckle is tricky and may appear locked when it is not.An extra check is required every time I use it to be sure it is fastened properly. The interlocking puzzle piece buckle from the AO never failed.2) There are no harness covers to keep the belt from cutting into my baby's neck.Tightening the harness properly causes her to cry out in pain! One must purchase the more expensive (and larger) Marathon to get the HUGS system (a fancy term for harness covers). There are no after-market covers available for purchase from Britax, and my reading suggests that after market covers are not safe.Even seats that cost much less than this one come with harness covers!I am not likely to trade up to the Marathon to get the harness covers, as I drive a sedan (SAAB 9-5), not a larger car such as a minivan or SUV, and my petite daughter fits better in a smaller seat, such as the Roundabout.

5-0 out of 5 stars passed NHSTA
I do not know where one of your reviewers got their information. The Roundabout did not fail the 2001 NHTSA testing.I went to their website and the Roundabout passed in five different catagories of testing.I have had this seat for 3 years and love it.We have easily installed it in 6 or more different cars both rear and forward facing. We had a Fisher Price Safe Embrace as a second seat.It was rated extremely well and we hated it.It was difficult to install in every car we tried and it was never secure. Our Roundabout simply does not move at all!We especially liked being able to use the tether rear facing because our daughter is very petite and had to remain rear facing until she was 2 years old and finally reached 21 pounds. Our pediatrician said she wished more of her parents would keep their child rear facing until 20 pounds regardless of age.One of my friends was in a horrible car accident. Her son was in the Roundabout and did not have a scratch on him, she had many injuries. The paramedics and firefighters were shocked, they expected him to have serious injuries. They thanked her for having her son properly restrained and thought the seat was excellent. The passenger side of her car was crushed up against his car seat which was in the center rear, and his car seat did not move at all!
In response to the woman who commented about the Roundabout not fitting her premature 5 pound infant, I don't think she has not done any research.Everything you read in any parenting magazine, or on the AAP website recommends that infants be in an infant only seat until they reach the weight limit of that seat.My daughter was only 6lbs. 3ozs. and when we left the hospital she was 5lbs. 10 ozs., our new parent classes at the hospital told us this they would not allow us to take her home in anything but an infant only seat. Also, using the tether rear facing helps to get and maintain the 45 degree angle necessary for infants.
In addition, I am an Early Childhood teacher.I read a lot about child products and belong to several child related organzations.I have never heard or read any complaints regarding this seat, but I have heard more praises of this seat than I could ever remember. All in all, this is a fabulous seat that is worth every penny...It is a pricy seat, but if it can save our child's life or prevent serious injury, we feel it is worth every penny. We will soon have 3 Britax seats, one for each of our cars and one for Grandma's.

3-0 out of 5 stars Cadillac of carseats- but make sure it fits your child
My son outgrew his infant seat at 3 1/2 months, so I bought this seat because of all of the excellent reviews praising its safety and comfort. It does, in fact, have all of the extras: velcro tabs on the side to keep the straps in place, a thickly padded crotch belt, built-in locking seat clips, and, best of all, strong thick straps that NEVER twist or tangle!
However, it's not perfect. Installing it rear-facing was quite a challenge. When I tethered it to my car's rear tethor anchors, it made the seat absolutely vertical, which is not appropriate for a baby! I put some folded up towels in the crease of the seat and tethered it to the base of the front passenger's seat, which finally got the right recline.
The bigger problem is that the restraints absolutely squash my poor baby's thighs! The belt fits lower on the body than most car seats and it leaves red marks on his thighs. If you loosen the straps, it makes the shoulder straps too loose- which defeats the purpose. Since we live in a hot climate, he usually wears just a onesie with bare legs- but I've started putting him in long pants because of this problem. So far, he seems to tolerate it ok, but I'm still undecided on whether or not to keep this seat. I've researched this extensively and there really doesn't seem to be a better alternative. My next choice would probably be the Cosco Alpha Omega- but that one has a horrible problem with straps twisting, which I know would drive me crazy!
Bottom line: great car seat- but do make sure it fits your child before you spend all this money. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars "Flat" exhausted
We have been very disappointed with this stroller.Within 3yrs we have had to replace the front tire 3 times! The reason being that they go flat so easilty. We live where the running course is around a lake, through trees,& up and down hills. We haven't had too much trouble with the steering however. We would not suggest buying this product unless you have a minor in bicycle mechanics!

2-0 out of 5 stars Don't be a penny pincher for this, better ones on the market.
I bought this stroller when my daughter was first born, excited that i found a stroller at a reasonable price that was what i wanted. The stroller is great for a smooth ride no matter where you are but there is a lot of downsides as well. The stroller is only for those who lay all the way back or at a somewhat incline.I ended up using the tether strap to incline it more so that my toddler could sit up straight to look around. The steering is horrible and the tires do seem to go flat quite often. Also it is way to bulky for those who have a car not to mention heavy.I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else.I guess that's what i get for pinching too many pennies.

5-0 out of 5 stars tough little seat
I love this product, very tidy, very small, Easy to clean.

Some reviewers have said this chair is weak. I can not understand that at all. while the tray is pretty light weight it takes a licking and keeps on ticking.
Mostly we do not use the tray anymore, and use this seat just as a booster at our table.
It folds down in about 1.5 seconds. Then just push your dining chair in under the table and you would hardly know a tot just ate dinner there.
I am buying another right now for my second child , she is just ready to upgrade.

1-0 out of 5 stars Hard to use
I found that it was difficult for my five month old to sit up in this chair without falling over. The storage unit was very small, too small for anything but a bib. My mom used it one day and broke the hook that holds the tray on.

2-0 out of 5 stars Flimsy and frustrating.
I thought I'd love it because it folds up small and has all these neat little features. But the one thing that just didn't sit right with me was its flimsiness!

The tray is at best a thin piece of plastic. It's also hard to put on and take off the seat.Furthermore, you can't adjust its position on the booster.
The lid for the so-called compartment in the back hardly stays in place, and pops off with the slightest jiggle, making it impossible to store anything in it.
The wind-up straps don't really lock in place -- the straps can easily slip loose while fastened on the chair, making it very dangerous for the child.

The only remarkable feature that it has is that it folds up smaller than any of the other booster seats with trays that I've seen on the market. But because it's so flimsy and frustrating to use, we returned it as soon as I took it out of the box. ... Read more
