4-0 out of 5 stars The Best
This has got to be the coolest puzzle a have done.I used the diagram a lot, but it was still challenging.I have bought all the Disney Mosaic puzzles. Can't wait to jump into the next one.

5-0 out of 5 stars SOOOO MUCH FUN!!
I bought this puzzle for me and my 10 year old daughter. It was hard at first but once we got started it went by so quickly. We finished it in 4 nights. The only thing I wish is that there were more than one diagram in the box. We found ourselves fighting over it( I always won). Other than that it was very fun. I looked online and found some more that they dont sell here on amazon. I found a really cool Peter Pan one and a Winnie The Pooh and friends one. They look pretty neat so I had to get them.

5-0 out of 5 stars WOW!!
I bought this puzzle as a family project because I thought that we needed more time together. My son, 8, and daughter,6, really had a hard time with this, but my husband and I really enjoyed doing it.In the box there was a picture of the completed poject and it really helped! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Kick ass Puzzle
Since I'm a HUGE Winnie the Pooh fan, my (now ex)boyfriend had gotten me this puzzle for Christmas and I was so excited to start it and get it togeather.Oh my goodness, I never would have thought it was going to be so hard.My boyfriend hated trying to put it togeather, since he couldn't see all the small pictures but I still had fun getting the little of it togeather.

Since then I bought a Tigger and Piglet one and took it to my (now) boyfriend's house and we started it and his family finished it, so we all once again had fun at it.

4-0 out of 5 stars INCREDIBLE PUZZLE!!!
For a jigsaw puzzle enthusiast like me, this one ranks very highly!!!The small pictures which make up the whole puzzle are challenging to work with and will keep you glued to your seat. The pieces fit together very nicely. You won't notice the time pass by when you're do it.The only problem is.........I was stupid enough to have lost a piece of the puzzle.

3-0 out of 5 stars Impossible
This puzzle is simply impossible. It easily becomes a chore after a while... only recommended for those who enjoy extremely challenging puzzles.Definitely would not recommend for kids. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Kismet...a game for the ages!
My family has enjoyed this game for many years.Like the other reviews, we made copies of the sheets and continue to play. We've written high scores and even low scores on the box since the early '70's.Our box has a price of $2.29!.This is a great game and for those that think the cup is noisy....my Dad put felt on the bottom and sides of the cup and it doesn't make a sound!Buy and enjoy!!!

    Editorial Review

Guesstures turns up the heat on the tired game of charades with a few modernizations. Good, quick pantomiming is still the thing, but now teams need to act out and guess four words in a matter of seconds. The "mimer-timer," designed like a movie scene board, controls everything. The actor draws four word cards and places them from easiest to hardest in the timer unit for each scene. After the arm swings down for "Action," time is rapidly eaten away and so are cards as the performer gestures wildly like a silent movie actor. When the cast guesses the word, the actor grabs the card before the "mimer-timer" does. Whew! It's a lot to think about. Each word is rated based on difficulty, so whatever cards the team correctly guesses and the actor manages to seize are tallied up and recorded. --Lynne Sampson ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars great group fun
I played this game at a party where I did not really know anyone.there were about ten of us playing on two teams and it was great fun.Everyone was laughing, everyone could do it and there was no fear in not being able to think up ways to describe the object since you can pick the hard or easy word during your turn.I really loved it

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent "intelligent" game for all ages !!
Games has a simple objective -- get the Red car out of traffice. And boy! it is difficult and changelling at higher level. Set up the *cars* as described in cards and figure out a way to get the Red Car out.The best thing is complexity raange from very easy to very hard. So it captures kids interests and provides the extra incentive to move to the next level !!

Simple rules -- once you have placed the cars on the Grid, you can only move them forward or backward.

A great addition to this game is "Rush Hour 2, 3 and 4 Gift Pack" for less than $12/-. Each set has 40 cards or in total 120 different combinations are possible. The highest level is really really difficult. Meant for the "Pros" only !!! ... Read more

    Lunar Lockout Peg Game
Average Customer Review: 5.0 out of 5 stars
    Toy

US | Canada | United Kingdom | Germany | France

    Editorial Review

This space-themed strategy game for one player comes in asquare, gray storage box with a playing surface that's covered by a gridof squares with protruding pegs. The set includes one red space explorerand five brightly colored "helper-bots" (tiny plastic figures that fiton the pegs to form playing pieces). To start the game, there are 40challenge cards with different configurations of the six playing pieces.(The solution to each configuration is on the back of the card.) Thegoal is to move the space explorer figure to the center peg, butmovements can be made only in certain ways, as in a chess game. Completeinstructions are included, along with a "pre-flight training session"that teaches the maneuvers. This puzzle would be an excellent choice forgifted younger children or any elementary school child who enjoys strategygames. The small size of the game also makes it a natural choice for along car ride or a plane trip. --Marcie Bovetz ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic for relearning Cognitive Skills!
I am recovering from a brain injury...games such as this one is perfect. It is quite a challenge, but fun and helps my brain create new neural pathways!!

5-0 out of 5 stars "Rush Hour" has nothing on "Lunar Lockout"
There's an unfounded rumor going around saying that Binary Arts puzzles are for kids.Nonsense.I'm an adult with a Ph.D. and can't get enough of them.I'd done all 4 packs of Rush Hour cards (getting adult friends hooked on the game in the process and buying sets for them) and was just waiting for the next pack when I stayed in a friend's home and saw "Lunar Lockout."I found it even more engaging and challenging. If you want to enjoy some really intellectual stimulation (and perhaps lose some sleep) get Lunar Lockout.

4-0 out of 5 stars Kid-tested with my 9-year-old grandson

    Editorial Review

UNO, America's No. 1-selling card game, has a whole new twist. You'll still encounter all theelements that make UNO so unpredictable and challenging, but add to that a motorized card launcher thatshows no mercy and you've got UNO Attack. The object of the game is still to get rid of all your cards. TheUNO command cards direct the game by telling players when to trade hands, discard, reverse the playingorder, or skip a player. Beware the dreaded Hit command, though, as this translates into a game of Russianroulette. You never know when the card launcher is going to fire off a stream of UNO cards just for you! For2 to 10 players. Requires three C batteries (not included). --Alison Golder ... Read more

    5-0 out of 5 stars A Random, Rapid-Fire Card Shoot-Out!
Our family is into playing games. Before the girls got older and went out with friends on Friday nights, we had a family night where we all played games together and had a blast. Few games could hold our interest for long and Uno Card Game was one of those. We liked it, but it was the same thing and the deck of cards was relegated to the closet shelf to be pulled out every six months or so.

Then my youngest (she's 11) came home from a sleep over and raved about a new game called Uno Attack. I have to admit that at first I shrugged it off thinking it was a new name to the same old card game and a marketing ploy by Mattel to get people to continue to buy their product. I smiled, sort of listened, and said, "We'll see" when she asked if we could buy this game. But my child remembers everything and waited until the opportune moment to remind me of my "We'll see" remark.

As we were strolling through our local Target store, a box was handed to me.

I blinked and asked, "What is this?"
"Uno Attack. You said we could get it."
"No, I said I'd think about it."
"Well look at how much fun it is. Come on Mom, you're gonna love this game."

So I looked at the box. "Mattel has added motorized action and surprise to the classic Uno card game." Hmmm... Ok, so it wasn't a new name to a deck of cards, it now had a handy-dandy motorized card launcher. My curiosity took over - just how did that card launcher work, anyway? Hey, it was only $ 15.00, so I tossed it in the shopping cart and made my daughter very happy.

We played that night and have since enjoyed this game many other nights. And I have to admit that I probably have the most fun playing it. It's the same premise as the card game, except there are a few new twists. There are 112 cards (18 Blue cards - 1 to 9, 18 Green cards - 1 to 9, 18 Red cards - 1 to 9, 18 Yellow cards - 1 to 9, 8 Hit 2 cards - 2 in each color, 8 Reverse cards - 2 in each color, 8 Skip cards - 2 in each color, 4 Discard All cards - 1 each in each color, 4 Trade Hands cards - 1 each color, 4 Wild cards, 2 Wild All-Hit cards and 2 Wild Hit-Fire cards (cards in bold are distinctive to this game and not the regular Uno Card Game).

Trade Hands cards are just that - you get to switch hands with the person of your choice (perfect for when you have 20 cards and an opponent has 3 cards). Wild All-Hit cards means everyone else must push the button on the card launcher and hope that it doesn't toss tons of cards at them (difficult for the person laying down this card not to smile and rub it in!). The Wild Hit-Fire cards are the most fun. You place that down and the next person must push the button on the card launcher until cards are tossed at him/her. You know they're gonna come out, but you don't know how many pushes you'll have before they do, or if you'll get one card or many.

The cards in the launcher are the "draw pile" and the launcher is spun around to face the person who must draw. And it's never the same number of cards being dispensed. I cannot stop giggling every time that launcher heaves cards at people, myself included. Ok, so I'm easily amused, but it really is funny to watch the faces people make when they push that button.

Now the downside to this game: It eats batteries! It takes 3 size C batteries and these must be replaced every few games or the launcher doesn't work properly. You might want to consider rechargeable batteries. The launcher is made out of sturdy plastic, but you still need to be careful with it.

We've taken this game with us to a Basketball All-Star tournament and had about 10 kids in our hotel room playing. I've heard from a few parents of those girls that they too have since purchased this game (including the coach who says it's now his favorite game of all time!). It's very addicting.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great twist to UNO!
THE PLUS:We have got 5 kids old enough to play UNO, and it is hard to keep them entertained, until we bought this!It is fun!You never know if you're gonna get no cards or 20.We play this all of the time and would never give it up.

THE BAD:It takes a little more maintenance than you would want a game to take. The rubber wheels need to be wiped with alcohol so it will shoot the cards out better. Also, we change our batteries at least once a week to get maximum shootage! But during normal gameplay you have to rearrange the cards because they slip, alot, and don't shoot out when they are supposed to.But it is worth it.

1-0 out of 5 stars never worked - don't waste your money
Our family enjoys the traditional uno so I thought this would be an exciting twist. NOT.The thing never worked.Cards don't come out.It even has a disclaimer to say that cards don't come out every time - more like they never came out.It goes BEEP WHHRRRR..then nothing. We tried like crazy to get the thing to work! Ended up throwing it away.Do not recommend. We went back to the simple deck of Uno Cards. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars A delicate dance of strategy involving moving colored balls
Grown weary this holiday season of trying to find a blitz that actually gets to the opposing quarterback on my computer football game, I found Paradux to a diverting little "board" game of strategy (the game board is a small hexagon with 37 divots into which the 20 colored balls fit). The idea here is simply; it is the execution that complicates things. The game begins with 18 of the balls arranged around the perimeter, alternating by color. One dark ball and one light ball are in the middle with open spaces all around them. With me so far?The object is to get four of your balls in a row. However, the trick is that when you move you have to move one of your own pieces in tandem with one of the pieces of your opponent.Moving the two pieces so that it benefits you is not the problem; it is making a move without it being to the advantage of your opponent that is the tricky part."Paradux" is a strategy game intended for two players ages six through adult and has the virtue of a basic simplicity of design that becomes addictively complex in the playing. You might try starting out by playing some speed games, just to get a feel for what will and will not work. Then you can play your long drawn out battles while watching a (real) football game.It is nice to now that after several thousand years the world is still coming up with "simple" games of strategy involving the movement of small colored balls. The only real downside to the game is the age old problem of not losing all of those balls... ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great game for great fun
Lord of the Rings Expansion is a good game. If you lose you will want to play it until you win. A little difficult to understand at first. Also at times frustrating, but you can make it through. Very hard with just two people, Medium with three, Kind of Easy with four, and Easy with five. As the BIg Eye comes toward you, or when you roll the dice it get thrilling. Its kind of a piece of cake once you play it alot. That is why I give this game 2 thumbs up. THIS IS AN EXCELLENT GAME!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars A spectacular addition to a great game.
The Friends and foes expansion set adds three vital components to the LOTR game system.

1.It adds the Bree game board and events including Tom Bombadil (whose absense from the movie is painful)

2.It adds Isengard game board and events

3.It adds the many foes from the book really giving the game a new outlook.

Now in addition to all of the various problems you may already face now the wolf riders, the uruk-hai, and the cave-trolls add to your grief and the various foes appear to battle you.You must keep these foes in check as they sap your strength and allow Sauron time to grow ever closer.Defeat enough of them you might be able to avoid some of the great dangers that lie ahead altogeter, allow enough of them to plague you and you will be overwhelmed and defeated.

This is money well spent. If you own the game buy it!

5-0 out of 5 stars Lord Sauron shows NO Mercy
Without the expansion, it is difficult enough for the four hobbits to make it to Mordor, but with this expansion comes an army of enemies to band against the players.

This game shows team players how to rely and work together, as they depend on the survival of the ring bearer to make it as far as possible.

One of the few games that allows for selfless acts and creates one goalfor the players....the enemy is Sauron, NOT the other players.

    Excellent game!! ... Read more

You'll keep looking over your shoulder while playing the Spy Alley Game. A little bit of paranoia helps in this business, what with secret agents from all over the world following you around the board as you try to pick up clues to their identity and keep your own well hidden. Use your tokens, play money, cards, and scoreboards to try to complete your own mission and force your opponents to give up valuable information--but watch out for the fabled Alley, which might lead to untold dangers (or, maybe, the lucky break you need to win the game!).Up to six players can vie for world domination in this suspenseful-until-the-last-minute game. --Rob Lightner ... Study what your opponents purchase to deduce thier identity, and collect your country's spy materials and land on your embassy to win.Earn money, buy tickets, get gifts... a cross between Monopoly and Clue, that's sure to be played again and again.

Better with 3-6 players, but can be played with 2 in a pinch (quick game).

The consistent popularity of Friends is a credit to the consistent high quality of the show's writing. Through several seasons, writers have managed to put the six lead characters through numerous plot twists and entertaining situations. The Friends Trivia Game is a testament to the show's variety, offering 1,000 questions about the lives and adventures of Joey, Chandler, Monica, Rachel, Phoebe, and Ross. In the game, players must travel around the board answering questions about each character and checking items off a scorecard for correct answers. The directions were a bit confusing at first, but as often happens, they became clearer as gameplay went on. The game comes stored in a tin case, perfect for taking to parties at a swanky New York loft that you can't possibly afford to live in. --John Moe ... Read more

The Lord Of The Rings Chess Set: The Fellowship Of The Ring

    Editorial Review

It may be better for display than actual chess play, but this LOTR chess set is still a fabulous value considering how detailed it is and how good it looks. Silver metallic colored pieces (it should be noted that they’re actually made of plastic, not metal) on the side of good face off against bronze-colored evil pieces on a board that cleverly incorporates a map of Middle Earth. The silver side features a Gandalf king and Galadriel queen, with hobbits for pawns, Boromir figures for rooks, and Frodo figures for bishops. The evil side has a Saruman king, a Ringwraith queen, Goblin pawns, and enormous Cave Troll bishops. The latter are actually too big to properly fit on the board; one of the reasons the set is not ideal for actual chess play. The only other real drawback to this dramatic, great-looking set is its thin and flimsy board.--David Stoesz ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars You might get the Return of the King Chess Set Instead
I ordered the Fellowship of the Ring Chess Set (the only LOTR chess set listed on amazon) on October 12th, 2004 and instead received the Return of the King Chess Set.I find this to be a better set so I'm not returning it, but be duly warned.

The Board:It's a standard cardboard style gameboard. No more or less sturdy than in a standard board game. It's similar to the Fellowship board shown and has a nice map lightly imposed on the playing squares. It's dark enough to be pretty, but light enough to not be distracting.

The Pieces:The pieces are a higher grade plastic so they have a little more weight and durability than standard plastic. They are just plastic though, so swords and such (especially on the orc pawns) will get bent while the pieces are in the box. There are no extra pieces, which is a minor issue when promoting pawns. It's easy to use a square of paper or something for a promoted pawn to stand on to designate his new role.

The coloring is the same as the Fellowship set. However, they made all the pieces a reasonable size so they all fit easily in their squares. The pieces still have the standard chess symbols on their base which helps in recognizing a pieces's role.

    Ancient Bone (ie. white) Pieces:
    Aragorn - the King
    Arwen - the Queen
    Gandolf - a Bishop
    Frodo - a Bishop
    Merry - a Knight
    Pippin - a Knight
    Legolas - a Rook
    Gimli - a Rook
    Sam - the 8 Pawns

    Antiqued Bronze (ie. black) Pieces:
Tower of Barad-Dur - the King
    Ringwraith - the Queen
    Gollum - the 2 Bishops
    Warg-Rider - the 2 Knights
    Wormtongue - a Rook
    Saruman - a Rook
    Orc - the 8 Pawns

FUN - 4/5 stars. If you get the joy of having Legolas capture the Ringwraith in game a chess, then you'll have a blast playing with this set.If you're just learning chess, I suspect it'll be too hard to keep track of each piece's role. The icons on their base helps, but the symbols are easily obstructed by other pieces.

EDUCATIONAL VALUE - 2/5 stars.I believe you have to already love chess and the LOTR to get the most out of this set.A standard, cheap chess set has more value for learning the game.

DURABILITY - 3/5 stars.See comments on pieces and board.

FINAL THOUGHT - If you love chess and the LOTR, and you can handle a slight learning curve in learning what role each piece has, you'll have a blast playing on this set.

5-0 out of 5 stars We Love it!
I bought this set for my husband who is a long time LOR fan and beginner chess player. I thought he would love playing with his favorite characters and I was right. We both love using this set. Maybe a "serious" chess player would not deign to use this set, but any LOR fan should love it. Yes, the black knights are a bit too big but so is the character! We are now buying this set for our grandson who is also learning chess. We recommend this set to any LOR fan!

3-0 out of 5 stars a little savvy please?
First off, the Lord of the Rings "chess" set is not a really usable chess set, but rather a toy or a piece of furniture, depending on how you treat it. A true chess set (most typically the STAUNTON design) has clearly identifiable bishops, rooks, etc. If a pawn is not INSTANTLY recognizable as a pawn for instance, it is useless as a chess set for any serious player. If you tried to use it in a USCF (United States Chess Federation) official tournament for example, the odds are overwhelming that your opponent would refuse to play on such a set.
Second: the distinction between children and adults in discussing this or any type of chess set is artificial and pointless since there are thousands of elementary school children who could easily beat 99% of all adults who only know how to move the pieces: Any adult OR child who starts to become at all serious about chess would never play on these gimmicky sets.
Third, talk of "educational value" is unclear at best: chess per se probably has some educational value (thought this is not as obvious as many believe)If however, the set stimulates your interest in the "Lord of the Rings" that is educational IF you consider studying that series to have educational value.
Bottom line: there is nothing wrong with these kinds of sets so long as you view them as pieces of good-looking furniture rather than as usable chess sets. One of the better places to buy quality chess sets (including the gimmicky kind) is the US Chess Federation, though several equally good sites are listed in CHESS LIFE magazine ... Read more

Furrowed brows and hearty laughter are the most likely outcome of this fun but challenging newgame from Game Development Group. The object is to be the first to reach the end of the game board."Been there, done that," you're thinking? Look again. In fact, stare hard--because that's the only way you'llget anywhere. Players (individually or in teams) must stare at an image on a card for 20 seconds. Actually, that's the "challenging" version. Depending on the relative level of masochism at the table, you can opt forthe "almost impossible" version--stare for 10 seconds--or the "general" version, stare for 30 seconds (best ifthere are kids playing), and then answer questions about what you saw. It's not easy folks--just try toremember what color socks the man next to you on the bus was wearing this morning, or how many peoplewere reading magazines. Of course, you weren't staring.... --Rachel Radway ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun New Game.
A great new game. This game is certainly different from anything out there.I am so tired of the newest version of Monopoly.I mean how many different versions of Monopoly can one possibly play.Who cares about StarWarsOPOLY, SimpsonOPLY, SpiderManOPLY...What I am interested in is playing a unique fun game, not a 'theme game'. Straight old Monopoly is what I opt for. But, when we want a break from Monopoly, it is always refreshing to find something new, good and unique! We really like STARE!It is a great fun concept and very challenging to boot.I don't like games which do not challenge.I mean what is the point of playing a game which does not get your gray matter working just a little. That is not a problem with Stare! - plenty of gray matter gets exercised. Anyway, I've been meaning to buy this game for ages. And I was happy I did, it is just down right likable to play. You will really like the array of image cards. The cards are a great selection of old advertisements, funny graphics cards, some everyday images etc.I especially love those old advertisements. In any event, you stare at the image card for either 10 seconds, 20 seconds, or 30 seconds.Prior to starting the game you decide which version you would like to play.I like the 10 second version - it makes things hairy. There are 5 ready made questions about the image on each card, but the 6th option let's an opponent make up the question about the image. The ready made questions range from pretty straight-forward to multiple choice, brain twisting puzzles. I especially like when I am asked to make up a question about the image for another player.I am never fair and opt to ask a question about the most annoying detail. Of course, the gentler folk in the crowd can ask the standard "what color question", but I say why make it easy for your opponent to get the question right. After all, the object of the game is to beat your opponent. Well, the skinny is that we have fun playing this game. And that is the name of the game! Isn't it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for game night parties!

I learned about this game from my kids.I had bought the junior version of the game and had really enjoyed playing that.So I thought, what the heck --I should try the family version.

Good Choice! While the kids version is a great addition to the children's games cabinet...the family version is terrific for grownup game nights.

The object of the game is that players (or teams) stare at an image card for a set time period. We opted for the 20 second version of the game.So players in our games have 20 seconds (2 timer flips) to stare at the image. When the 20 seconds are up, an opposing player (or team) retrieves the card and asks questions printed on the back of the card. How many windows are on the house?;Is the woman to the right or left of the baby? What is the monkey eating? You get the picture. The questions can be very detailed, which adds to the fun of the game. The more questions answered correctly, the further the player or team advances on the board.

The image cards are fantastic, with everything from comic book covers, old advertisements (I just love those), Magazine Covers, Artwork, etc.

When my kids are awake during game night we let them play along with Stare! Junior. This way the adults and kids are on a level playing field. We adults have our own card set from the family game with more detailed images and harder questions and the kids have their own card set from the Junior Edition of the game with more basic images and easier questions.Perfect!

    You won't be disappointed!

5-0 out of 5 stars Unique, Refreshing, Fun...
    .
In the age of board games where you find games which focus on

Trivia, Trivia and more Trivia, or TV Reality Shows (I mean who

wants to play a board game based on a TV Show, just watch the

show if you must....), this game is a refreshing retreat from

all of that.Stare! is a simple concept but exceedingly

addictive. Each team takes turns staring at the great images

included in the game. You only get 20 seconds to study the

picture to retain as much detail as youcan. Then, times up

and the opposing team asks you questions (found on the back of

the image card) about the picture. The questions are great

fun. Some are easier than others, but I always like it when we get

the challenging questions to show my husband just how good my

memory is.The only problem is that my observational skills

need a tune up because I don't always take in how many glasses

are on the table, whether the bottle is full or half full, or if

the book is opened or closed. Those are the types of questions

you get in the Stare! game.Sometimes, the questions ask you to

pick 2 true statements about the image out of 4 given.Other

times the questions are just straight out -- Is the monkey

eating a banana?Anyway, we had great fun playing this game.

It is certainly a keeper.I love the image cards which contain

a wide array of images to satisfyeverybody, including

nostalgic advertisements, old comics, funny photo's, art work,

    etc.This game comes highly recommended!

4-0 out of 5 stars OK for the fun, not OK for the mystery
If you play this game for the outrageous puns, for the humorous Shakespearian references, or for general camaraderie, you'll have a good time.If you're looking for a good Murder Mystery, then you may be disappointed.I've played about ten of Decipher's "How to Host a Murder" games, and this is not one of the better-constructed mysteries. Many of the characters did not know the motivation for their actions, which made it difficult to answer questions; some of the characters were in alliance with each other, but were forced by the game to reveal information that defeated the purpose of the alliance. So if you want to rolic and frolic, it's fun; if you want a logical puzzle, seek elsewhere.

    Editorial Review

A winner of many international commendations and awards, Quoridor Classic is a near-perfectgame. Its objective is clear, not convoluted; the physical game is stylish, sturdy, and well made; and it hasbroad player appeal--it's great for families with players of varying ages. Quoridor Classic is a fast-movingstrategy game that is similar to chess insofar as players move pawn-shaped pieces across the board.Thedifference is that there are wooden fences one erects to block the progress of and force a different routeupon an opponent. The physical blocks are quite effective for discouraging daring moves, and encouragingmore competitive players. Players utilize analytical and logistical thinking, as well as math-mindedstrategy.The game includes four pawn-shaped, smooth wooden pieces that are stylishly stained.Thefences are natural wood. The playing board is made of heavy, carved wood that is richly stained andfinished. Quoridor Classic accommodates two to four players. --Diane Beall ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A VERY FUN GAME!
Quoridor is amazingly fun.The object is to get your pawn to your opponent's side. You can play up to 4 players. You have ten fences each if 2 players are playing. You have 5 fences each if 4 players are playing. This game is very much like a maze. This game is fun for all ages. The reason I like this game is because it takes a little strategy, not to much for a 6 or 9 year old,and it takes good timing. This game won about 7 awards including Mensa's Top 5.You NEED to get this game.

5-0 out of 5 stars Lots of fun
Quoridor is quite a bit of fun, particularly if you enjoy games that require more thinking, like Mastermind. Game time is short, so even young players can play and then play again without feeling like they're tied to a game of chess. The game does require some strategy-sense, so not sure if 8 and up is appropriate, maybe 12 and up. Adults will have the most fun however since you can easily play 4 or 5 games an hour. ...
