SO HORRIBLE!
I bought this toy last year for Christmas and it's about that time again and I just wanted to discourage everyone from buying it!We were so angry when putting it together that my husband wanted to write a letter to the manufacturer.The cost for quality was unbelievable.This is MAYBE a $15 toy for which you will more than twice that!Read the reviews, it's all true! A lot of pink plastic and not a lot of fun
My daughter desparately wanted this last Christmas and so it goes we ordered it as there was no local store who carried it.None of the castle "tops" lock into place so they keep falling off.The swing worked about 1 hour and has since found it's place laying on the floor next to the castle. The toy was played with approximately 4 times since last Christmas. My 3 year old (at the time) was not at all impressed.For the money, you would be better off getting ANYTHING from Melissa & Doug collection.

a Care Bear fan fav for almost a year!
We bought the Care Bears Castle for our almost four-year-old daughter for Christmas last year.She LOVES this toy, and still plays with it several times a week, even though she's had it for almost a year!!She loves the sounds that it makes, and we've bought her the little sets you can buy to go with it!My ONLY complaint is that we've never really been able to get the swing to stay put!!I've read that same complaint from many others, so I'm not sure what's up with that!We've pretty much just given up on the swing!The castle tops do just sit atop the castle, which is kind of cumbersome when I'm carrying it from one room to another for her, but it's really not that big of a deal.She likes to put the tops on anyway!Overall, I would say that any child who is a Care Bears fan will thoroughly enjoy this toy...just as my little Care Bear fan has for almost a year now!!And for the record, despite other reviews, I disagree with the fact that it looks or appears cheap, and we've had the same batteries in it since we bought it and they are still working!!!Invest the money...your child will LOVE it!!!! ... Don't buy this toy.
I have 3 kids. I bought this toy last year for Christmas. It is really loud, the clouds keep coming off and the bears are hard to keep on the clouds. My kids never play with it anymore.

This Toy Makes a lot of Noise
This ferris wheel makes a ton of noise.And the cloud carts fall off easily, making it difficult for smaller children who can't easily put them back on.My girls play with the little care bears that came with this set separately but don't have the patience to set up the ferris wheel.They came out with a newer version of this toy that works A LOT better!

Great Toy!
I just bought this toy for my 4 year old daughter and she loves it.The music is loud, but I put a piece of clear tape over the speaker before I gave it to her and she doesn't even know the difference.The clouds do fall off if you spin it too hard and the bears are a little hard to get into their seats, so I don't think it would be a good choice for a child under 3 years old. ... Sitting on a cloud...
My 2 year old loves this and all care bear toys.I also don't quite get the point of the stars, but then, I'm not 2.She has fun fixing up her care bear village and pretending with them. We will be buying more care bear toys.

Not your feel good bears of past.
I'm not too surprised that they are not the same care bears of the past, but they could have at least tried.These bears are smaller than the original and are made of a hard plastic.The feel of them is not enticing to my 3 yr old.Their arms and legs do not move, and I'm still trying to figure out the point of the stars on the clouds.The cloud that moves with the bear on it squeaks as it rolls and the umbrella doesn't move unless you move it with your hand.It has gone straight to the "I don't want to play with it bucket."

Care Bears and Stars!
My 2-year-old received this when she was about 20 months old.She loves Care Bears, and prefers these over her stuffed Care Bears.The bears are small enough to take for travel too, but not small enough to choke on.She has 10 bears in all, and is getting the castle for Christmas!We love Care Bears!! ... this toy is so great my children play with him all day long they cant get enough of him.

Cute For Kids... somewhat annoying for collectors
I think this is a really cute item for kids, but the voice is sometimes annoying to me. I collect them as a a collector, I collected the 80's care bears. the nice thing is that the batteries can be removed, so that you don't have to hear it talk.

My daughter received this for her 3rd birthday.She loves the hard plastic bears, but not the house.The door came off within the first week - this wasn't due to rough and tumble play, just not secured well.In fact, before the door came off it wouldn't open or close well.All in all, she is thrilled to have the bears - next time I'll just get more bears and not another playset. ... A brief moment of fun
My son enjoyed "The Care Bears Movie," so I purchased Funshine Bear and the accompanying video.I overestimated his interest in actually having the bear.He's got a "lovey" toy already, so this toy is just another on the pile of stuffed animals that he's not interested in playing with.I would say that you should purchase the bear only if your child enjoys playing with stuffed animals (I hate to be stereotypical, but maybe it's a girl thing).The movie is pretty good.He seems to like the "race" idea, since he enjoys "racing" around the house, anyway.There are some good "fair play" ideals introduced in the movie and some lessons on cheating.He was a little hesitant to watch it at first-- apparently the little bad guy is a little scary, so be aware of this and screen it with your child at first.I made the mistake of popping the tape in the VCR and then doing some housecleaning, only to be called back and asked to sit down and hold hands.Overall, it's one of those standard stuffed animals with a decent movie.

Funshine Bear and Video: The Great Race
THE BEAR: Funshine Bear is very well made and extremely durable. I seriously doubt any kid could (or would) try to pull out his eyes or nose. His mouth doesn't rip nor the sunshine on his tummy, or the hearts on his feet or the single red plastic one on his back side. So five stars there. Then there's the obvious, he's adorably cute and funny sunny. I like the way he talks with a smile in his voice. He's very soft, cute and huggable. Aww. ^_^

THE VIDEO: "The Great Race." It is a good video but note that Funshine Bear is NOT the main character in it.That is my main complaint.I feel that if a bear comes with a video, then the video should have the bear as the leading role or at least the top three.Funshine Bear is cute in this and has a role, he is part of the race; however, the Elephant, Rabbit and a bad guy, have the leading parts.I don't know if this is the same for the other videos but Funshine Bear is the only character on the cover of the box so naturally I assumed he'd be the main character.I don't know if it is the same for the other bears and videos.

MY DAUGHTER'S FEELINGS: My five year-old daughter loves Funshine Bear.She received it as a birthday gift and enjoys the video too.During many videos we watch together, she will get up and leave the room, but not this one so I know she loves it. Plus, the video has a good moral at the end that reminds me of an aesop's fable.

Carebears for Teens
I am a 13-year-old girl, and I just love the carebears! Most people think that they are just for the little kids and the adults that used to have them when they were kids, but they are just so CUTE!!! I went out shopping with my friends and saw a carebear. Without thinking, I said, "Ohmigosh he is so cute! I have to get him!" I thought my friends would burst out laughing, but they wanted one, too! We all ended up getting Carebears, and we love them sooooo much! Everyone agrees that the Carebears can be for any age. I would be thrilled to receive one for a gift! In fact, when asked what I wanted for my birthday this year, I said, "Carebears!!!"
Carebears are my favorite toy ever....I've never really been attached to a doll or blanket or anything, but these are just some AMAZING bears! I would be devestated if one was ever taken away from me!

They are amazing and I love them. I babysit for two kids, and for their birthdays I decided I would buy them a gift. I got them Carebears, and they loved them. Now, every time I go over there, they want to watch the Carebear movies! I have never been very attached to a blanket or anything, but I would be DEVESTATED if someone took my carebear away!

Good for a collection,but not 12 year old meterial to play
This is a cute toy,but press it's tummy and it won't shut-up!
This is a good toy for 2-8 year olds,but for 12 year olds,it's downright embarrassing!I do like the fact that one girl has a collection that she brings to cheeraledding practice.But I would reccomend a Care Bear if it doesn't talk!Though if the kids in my fifth grade had a choice to compare the talking Cheer Bear to a Transformer,evan as a women whatcha

My 13 year old daughter loves the care bears!Her cheer team all have them.They cuddle them when they are out of town competing.They have Cheer Bear.He is a good luck charm for their team.They all have one and love to hug them.All the girls she knows love the Care Bears.They are back in style!I guess you're never too old for Care Bears.

Perfect gift if you hate a child's parents
My daughter likes the bear and video well enough.I, on the other hand, want to gouge my eyes every time she watches the video with its poor animation and 1-dimensional story.And the bear with its over-the-top cuteness has got to be one of the most hideous stuffed animals I've ever seen.If you love the child and hate the parents, this is the perfect gift.

Care Bear Lover
I loved this item. Free video with the stuffed bear.I bought it for unborn daughters bedroom - Due Date Oct 2003.We're doing Care Bears for the theme.The video teach sharing and caring, with the fun loving, Care Bears.Our friends two year old has been watching the movies repeatidly, her mom has already had to go out and buy them for her.Watch the video and cuddle with the bear who is featured in the video. :)

My 3 year absolutely adores these Care Bears
We have several of the care bears that I bought for my 3 year old daughter and my 14 month old daughter loves them as well too! We do not have this particular care bear with the video but will be getting one....they are all the same basically anyways! I buy the care bears for the stuffed animal not to include that there are great episodes along with the care bear! Both of my children love all the care bears and all the care bear shows as well too. We also have the first Care Bears movie and the second one that they have out now and also the Bedtime Stories Care Bears movie as well. We are adding on to our collection of Care Bear items this afternoon! I never found these Care Bears movies or shows annoying and it teaches children how to share and how important it is to be nice to others and also manners as well too! I remember when Care Bears were out as a child myself and I loved them and I still do and I am thrilled that they have them back out on the market again along with the Strawberry Shortcake items as well (another big hit around here with my girls)! ... Soft and cuddly
These carebears are so soft and durable. I personaly sleep with mine every night. They are also something very fun to collect. But don't worry if you are older these bears are for any age.

Care Bears Stare!!!!!
Wow Care Bears has come a long way since the first movie that they stared in(we have both movies onviedo). Now they have plenty of clothes,accesserious, and most of all TOYS!!!! The voices are strange
I was a fan of the care bears "way back when" so it was interesting for me to watch this video with my 7 year old. He didn't seem very interested and I can understand why. The voices of the characters don't sound like I remember and in the case of a couple of the bears, slightly scary. I think this would be more for the pre-school set than school age children.

entertaining and nostalgic
Watching this really takes me back!The origional theme song! There is no beastly, noheart, or shrieky here, but the the bears are there.
Drab city is one of my favorites.

like the Care Bears, but movie was missing something
This film, while well intended to teach small children what it is to care, could do alot more.This is the first Care Bears video I have seen in years.But it taught my 2 year old, the word Dummy!In the story titled "Birthday" one of the kids spills cake batter on the other accidentally, and the other kid calls him a dummy.Personally, I think they could have worked that out of the script.I have to fast forward through it so neither of my two children(both under 2 years old) hear that part.Also, Bedtime bears voice does sound bad in it, and a couple others not so good. ... A lifesaver!
My 16 month old daughter loves this pillow.She loves to lay on it and snuggle with it.It's a lifesaver because she will stop fussing at any point when she has this pillow.

When she gets tired, she lays on it.I then just have to tell her it's time for bed and she takes her bedtime care bear to her bedroom for me to pick her up and place her in the crib.

She's always been a pillow girl.She used to bunch up blankets under her head to prop her up.With this, she just lays her head on it and falls to sleep with no fussing or tossing and turning.I'm personally not worried about it in her crib because she's self sufficient now to help herself and it doesn't have any buttons or anything that can be pulled out.However, that is a personal decision of whether you choose to use it in the crib or not.

It was well worth the price in the amount of use she gets out of it.And it's very durable.A definite must have! ... Read more
