Action Packed & Fun for Playdates
Am not a fan of toys that are not educational. However, this is a fun active game when you have playdates on a rainy day. Works truly well, considering the mechanics it must perform.

Imitates an arcade game well. Shadows of dinosaurs appear on the wall, & your child has to shoot it down whenever the picture pops up.

I would definitely have this game around & at least more talk interaction then a gameboy....

I'd recommend it

Dinosaur devotees will be roaring over this Spinosaurus from Jurassic Park III as he growls, moves his head, and thrashes his tail. The creature stands 11 inches tall and measures 21 inches from nose to tail, with textured, flexible brown rubber skin that bends and moves. Pressing various buttons on the dinosaur's body activates three features: jaws that open and close, a swinging tail, and two different roaring sound effects. The figure has articulated arms and legs, which make him posable for display or ready for a pretend battle against enemies. Moving Spinosaurus's tail left and right makes his head move, allowing him to scan the area for his next meal. A large, sail-like bone structure on the lizard's back (providing its name) makes for carrying ease, but be warned that under the soft rubber layer of skin is a very hard plastic disc. ... Read more

So Authentic...YOU WON'T BELIEVE YOUR EYES
I purchased this item for my 12 year old boy.After placing the batteries in all the compartments, I watched him manipulate the controlls with envy.I wanted to play with it as well.Guess what?The smile on my son's face, as the Spinausauras moved ever so cleverly with a star wars action figure sitting on its back, I couldn't get the toy away from him.So what did I do?I purchased another one for myself.Together Josh and I continue to spend hours creating scenes from the fantasy and reality world of dinasaurs.

When I took it to work with me, my co-workers started to laugh.
Needless to say, several of the people I work with couldn't wait to get their own Spinausauras.

Who knows, this could very well turn into a very valuable collectible toy in a few years.I naturally kept the box.

This Spinosaurus Is Great.I have a couple of things to say about this toy.THis is a great toy.I have heard a couple of reviews saying this toy cannot stand properly and their son hates this figure and you get frusterated, well, first think how old your child is.If he is very young, he may not like the toy.It roars when you press the JPIII symbol on it's tail, and it roars if you press the scars on it's neck, or the bite mark on his side.If a small child touches it all the time, and doesn't know how it works, of course they're gonna get confused!!!The dinosaur is soft though.It is also a relief from all of those t-rexes....there were 3 from the first movie, (the big electronic one and the 2 color variations of the young t-rex) 4 from the lost world,(the baby t-rex, the exclusive young t-rex with the dinosaur hunter, the bull t-rex, and the thrasher t-rex) 2 from the chaos effect,(the omega t-rex and the thrasher t-rex) 3 from that "jurassic park dinosaurs" thing,(the young t-rex with dino tracker, the baby t-rex, the other baby t-rex with the dinosaur hunter) and now 2 from jurassic park 3(the small re-ak at-ak trex and the ultra t-rex with animatronic sound).Phew!what a lot of t-rexes!!!This toy is alot of money though.I live in canada and they are easy to find in stores.I have heard, that they are rare in the states, where most of you who will read this review live.You decide!Some people don't like his wounds, but i don't mind them.He is a great collector's item!!!He even has an added thrashing action, that the 2 thrasher t-rexes(from the chaos effect and the other one from the lost world) also had.he is about the same size as the thrasher t-rex.He is what i think of as the thrasher t-rex counterpart!He does not come with capture gear.And, he is great addition to your JP collection!!! ... The Best Lego toy in the world!!
I like this toy because when I play with it I can make the vehicle look different by myself without instructions.Each time it's tough for the spinosaurus to break it with its jaws.It's also cool because I know how to make the Spinosaurus into a T-Rex real easily.This is the best Lego toy in the world and you need to get it right this minute.

the 2 raptors are cool, but to be realistic they should be smaller. in the jp films, raptors are about 6' high and 10' long. they are really 3.5' high and 6' long. the pterodactyl is neat and the johnny thunder mini-figs are awesome. overall this is good set.

OK, but not great
When I got this set, I expected great things to come of it. No such luck.The pteradactyl was poorly made and needs to be redone.Your average Lego set.

The trap
This set is awsome! It reenacts the scene in which they are trapped in a tree with the volaciraptors waiting for them. under the tree is a set for the compound scene. The raptors are awsome. I like making myself (Alan Grant)try to kill them with the spear and have the raptors knock down the compound on top of me. It is fun to rebuild as well. I can't wait till i get the set where the spinosaurs is attacking the plane in the tree! I recommend this item 100%! ... Read more

Dr. Grant has once again found himself in a tight spot. Trapped insidethe compound walls of Jurassic Park with a vicious Velociraptor, he must useeither the net launcher or the stun gun to subdue the animal. With five plasticfence pieces plus the gate, the compound is plenty large to house all of theincluded pieces and still have room to maneuver. Reenacting scenes from any ofthe three films should be easy and fun with the distance that both the stunprojectile and net launcher provide and the numerous articulation points on theRaptor and Dr. Grant figures. Jurassic Park Dino Corral
This is a really cool set, but its basicly a better remake of the original JP play set.Some of the peices are made better and collered better.It comes with a cool raptor, and net launcher, along with fencing and the Dr. Grant figure.I highly reccomend this toy to all.

He's lean, he's mean, and he's looking for dinner. The newest additionto the prehistoric revival is this Spinosaurus from Jurassic Park III. The figure is made of hard, brown plastic, has a nasty sneer on its face, sports sharp claws on both front and hind limbs, and features a sail-like bone structure on its back (which gave it the name Spinosaurus). A small button on the reptile's throat activates a chomping motion and a menacing bellow. Another button in an area of exposed rib cage (we suspect from a vicious battle) triggers a different roar, warning prey that they better run. excellent- but needs taller sail on back
Great toy, but looks more like suchomimus (spinos relative). Its very durable- mine's been slammed into a wall. Its great for hours of fun, and home movies too.

He's so awesome
This is so cool to play with and it so cool i like to play with it when i play jurassic park and when he fight the t-rex but its cool so buy it.

I think this is one of the better JP figures made, and for it's size one of the best made. There is much to like. It is very detailed and well painted. The fin and tail seem a bit small compared to rest of the body, but this is understandable given it's smaller size. The jaws opens smoothly and it sounds very good. While the "wound" sound is more of a cat's screech, it sounds painful enough.Really there are two advantages of the Spino over some of the other dinos in the line. First, it can stand on it's own. Unlike the T-Rex and Rapter, you can stand him up and he is stable enough to stay there.The other is that the arms are not wasted. While the T-Rex arms are too small, and the Raptor's dangle off his sides (and move like he is swatting bugs rather than slashing prey before him), the Spino's arms are big with claws stretched out ready to strike. This makes him more impressive and practicle for display and play.Also I think that most any dinosaur toy is educational. While we don't really know what they looked and they sounded like, this conveys a better idea of what they might have been like than a stand of bones.If you buy only one dinosaur of this size buy this one. ... He's large, he's green, and he's scary. One of the nastiest creatures to once again roam the planet, this beast from Jurassic Park III means business. Made of hard plastic, the T-Rex stands 9 inches high and measures 12 inches from his fierce jaw to the tip of his scaly tail. And he makes noise--simply press a button on the area of his exposed rib cage (we suspect from some vicious battle) to hear him roar at intruders and protect his territory. Pushing down on his right arm causes his jaw to open and close in a realistic chomping motion. (Younger children should be cautioned that the teeth, though made of rubber, are very sharp.) Ya.This toy is cool.The best.Well, one of the best.I have been collecting Jurassic Park toys since the first movie came out.I am almost 13 now, and i recently bought the Jurassic Park 3 ULTRA RE-AK AT-AK TYRANNOSAURUS REX.Now, this toy is excellent, but a bit (just a bit) smaller than the other T-Rex's.This is the 2nd best t-rex, i think.The best would have to be the thrasher t-rex (no not the one from the lost world, but the one from the chaos effect is you know what that is.)This t rex has movable arms and legs.Hemakes 3 sounds. He roars, Stomps, and gives an (owwwwwch) hurt cry.His teeth are pretty sharp so i reccomend not giving him to young children.He is a good toy, and i reccomend giving him to some one who likes dinosaurs as a present.

Due to this being the smallest T-Rex of any of the movies, I believe it to be the baby one in TLW almost all grown up.This toy is great, though pretty hard, he has poseable arms like all the rexes, but he also has poseable legs which two of the other three rexes are missing.You can move his jaw, I believe, and he roars, and he stomps and it makes a thud, like the original Rex.It's a great combination of all the previous rexes.If only it could swallow people, it was made of soft rubber, and it was a little bigger, it would be perfect.But it's still the best yet. ... Stalking Raptor
This is an excelent toy to display. It's very close to the raptor of the movie if it wouldnt have been for the colors. Should have added that Help Cry from the movie. Very satisfying toy.
