    Ocean Wonders Aquarium
Average Customer Review: 4.5 out of 5 stars
    Toy
    list price: $29.99
US | Canada | United Kingdom | Germany | France

    Editorial Review

This toy will make you want to take a nap. Equipped with straps that attach it to a crib, this play aquarium and music maker is the perfect thing to amuse a child or soothe them to sleep. There are three settings, depending on what kind of stimulation is needed: music only; music plus soft glowing lights; and music plus lights, bubbles, and moving fish. There are also three music options, the best one offering soft and melodic New Age fare, the other two somewhat odd, spacey versions of familiar lullabies. The music combined with the lights creates an instantly peaceful, soothing ambiance. There are a couple of buttons and doodads for baby to bat around that make the fish react in various ways. If these buttons were a little more responsive, this toy would be near perfect. --David Stoesz ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars My 4 month old daughter loves this toy
Our daughter has quite a few "ocean wonders" toys and she seems to really enjoy them. This crib toy (and she has 4 of them)is her favorite thing. She likes the music that plays and the lights. If she wakes up in the middle of the night and wants to play I turn this on and usually she will fall asleep staring at it.Plus the button for baby to push is big so she turns it on by herself all the time, whether by design or accident (I prefer to think by design)

5-0 out of 5 stars My 3 month old loves this!
I recieved this as a gift for my daughter and we put it in her crib when she was 2 months old.She really loves it and will not go to sleep at night until she hears the music and then she is out.She loves music and this is great for that.During the day she enjoys watching it and then she smiles. She is only 3 months and she likes it now!

2-0 out of 5 stars not that impressed
I tried this with both of my children, and it certainly did not allow me to just put them in their crib and fall asleep. My biggest issue with this item is that it can really only be hooked up to the top of the crib railing, which is too far up to really look at if you're the baby lying on the mattress.I tried to rig it up so it was mattress-level, but the bumper pad got in the way.Plus, my kids would either turn it off or on if they accidentally hit the on/off button while trying to play with the other buttons--that should be on the top of the device. ... Baby In Sight Mirror
Average Customer Review: 3.5 out of 5 stars
    Baby Product (04 October, 2003)
    list price: $12.99
US | Canada | United Kingdom | Germany | France

    Editorial Review

A good baby mirror can make car rides fun for baby and reassuring for Mom or Dad since everyone gets to see each other while traveling. This simple soft mirror is flexible and designed to be safer in the event of an emergency. While the black and white pattern that surrounds the actual reflecting surface is perhaps not as festive as the seemingly inevitable animal prints that cover so many baby products, that chromatic contrast is likely to be more interesting and occupying to very young children. And don’t black and white match your back seat a little better than bunnies anyway? This mirror can easily attach to either a back seat or a back headrest and can be cleaned with a cloth. --John Moe ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Dissapointed
Love the idea, dislike the prodcut.I have loved this mirror and have used it since my baby was born 4-1/2 months ago.Recently, when I got in my car I realized the mirror had fallen down...right where my baby would have been if she had been in the car when it had fallen. When I tried to reattach it, I realized the strap had torn.It appears the strap had started to disinigrate in the sun because when I touched the strap another piece of it fell off in my hand.I don't think the mirror would have hurt my baby if it had fallen while she was in the car, but it might have, and it certainly would have scared her.I also hate to think that I could have gotten into an accident if she startled me by suddenly screaming after the mirror fell on her.I think this product should have been tested better before being put on the market!

1-0 out of 5 stars Very Disappointed
I have 2 of these mirrors, one in the plaid pattern and one in the brown leather/suede.How 2 of the exact same mirrors can be so different is beyond me.While the leather one is great (so far), the plaid one has fogged up and cannot be wiped clean, making it almost impossible to see my daughter. The sticky tab that can be used when not mounting it on a headrest held for about 10 minutes and then continually fell forward. When I finally moved it to a headrest, I was tightening the strap and it snapped right in 2 making the entire mirror impossible to use at all! It's a needed accessory but this one disappointed me.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good for MiniVan- Once I Rigged It
At first, I really hated this mirror because no matter what I did, I could not adjust it to the right place.I couldn't see my baby's upper half (only his feet if I was lucky).

Then I wedged a bib between the mirror's back and the headrest.
Ta-da!!!Could completely see my entire baby! The bib not only propped the mirror into the right position, but made the mirror fit more snugly and therefore, less likely to become loose.

NOTE: I don't know if you're "supposed" to rig it.My logic is that if you're allowed to prop a carseat with a rolled-up towel, then why not a mirror with a rolled up bib? ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Absolutly love it!
My twub son will be 5 months old in a few days and helove this swing! We use it when watching t.v, resting, doing dishes, EVERYTHING (well of course not everything in the same day!) They couldnt be a happier babies!

Its easy to take to grandmas and such because it folds easily and compactly. It has mesh on the side so if he falls asleep thier head has a place to rest. The toys are stimulating and really fun, and my son absolutly loves them! The lights flash at the perfect speed and the music is nice and fun. There are different settings for music and volume, and different settings for speed.

the whole swing is really easy to use and I can also pack it up just as easily. he is a premie (about the size of a 4 month old) so he will still be in here for a while. The swing is also very entertaining, smaller, and less expensive than those larger, bulkier models!

2-0 out of 5 stars Not worth the money
I like the size of this swing but find the low bar very hard to get my son in and out of. I wish it had shoulder straps since now that my son is strong enough to hold his head up and not turn sideways in the chair, he is almost at the maximum weight for this item! We didn't need to travel with it so the price for the portablilty was not worth it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wish I had this one!!!
I got a take-a-long swing as a baby shower gift and the first few weeks that my daughter was home she slept in it at night. It was the only way she would sleep for more than 20 minutes at a time. Our swing however has nothing to keep her head from falling off the side of the chair. My sister has this swing for her baby and when her daughter slid sideways the mesh was there to stop her head from falling off the side.We had to use rolled blankets on ours and her head still fell off the side.I love this swing and my daughter is 2 months old now and I'm still thinking about going out to buy it. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars quick and easy
I sterilized bottles and breast pumps the old fashioned way with my first child and in the begining w/ my 2nd child. NEVER AGAIN! This is a very simple, fast, effective and economical way to get just about everything for baby sterilized.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very Convenient
This sterilizer is a time saver. As a parent of a baby, time is teh one thing you need the most. I would invest on thisitem.
Just put in the microwave for 4 minutes. Then let it cool for 2, and then use the items when you need them.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good product, but not really necessary
This product is easy to use, works well and is FAST . . . and everyone knows that time is precious is a new baby.I use Advent bottles & pacifiers and they fit perfect as do all the parts to my Medela breast pump.I don't use the sterilizer every time anymore since my daughter is a little older now.I run the bottles & pacifiers though the dishwasher so I feel comfortable with the heat they get from that. This sterilizer is great though as it is very light weight and easy to store in between uses. It's up to you & your doctor whether you need a sterilizer, but if you do decide to get one, definitely get this one. ... Bumper Jumper Saratoga
Average Customer Review: 4.5 out of 5 stars
    Baby Product

US | Canada | United Kingdom | Germany | France

    Editorial Review

This well-built Bumper Jumper is a great way for baby to develop leg strength and coordination--all while having a bouncing good time at home. Assembly and setup is very easy; just clamp it above any doorway that has molding and half an inch of flat surface on top, adjust the jumper for height, and you're ready to go. The three-pronged strap dome spreads the hanging straps nicely above the seat, allowing for easy access, and a spongy bumper runs along the outside edge of the sturdy plastic seat. The bumper will protect the trim and woodwork around your doorways, and it has the added benefit of protecting baby's hands should they get caught between the seat and the doorway. Designed for babies up to 25 pounds, the Bumper Jumper can be used from the time your baby can sit up and hold her head upright (about 6 months of age) until she can walk. Measuring 17 inches wide by 18 inches deep, the high-back seat is outfitted with a three-compartment play tray and removable fabric padding that is soft and machine washable. For visits to family and friends, you can fit the whole jumper inside a medium-size duffel bag or tuck it neatly into the corner of your car’s trunk. --Chris Burns ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars What about the big babys?
I bought this for my daughter when she was about 3 months she loved it!!!!! but the thing is she had grown out of it by 5 months cause she was so long. and the hight ajustment does take up enough slack for her to jump anymore. so if you have a larger then normal baby this is not the toy for you.

5-0 out of 5 stars INDISPENSABLE - WE LOVE IT!
This is a wonderful product - especially for the money. I've spent a lot more on other items that my daughter has zero interest in - but this on I can keep her interested in and happy in for up to a half hour at a time.

We have a very open floor plan with few true doorways so I debated buying this, but we keep in in the doorway between our bedroom and bathroom. It's great for when we are getting ready in the morning. After my daughter has eaten we put her in it and it keeps her happy until we are ready to leave the house. Then when I get home with her after work I put her in it so I can get changed into "mommy" clothes.

The bumper is great b/c it doesn't bang up the door jam, and it has great handles that I can attach link-a-doos to - I usually attach another toy to those so I'm not constantly picking up her toys off the ground - it has 3 great trays on it - but my daughter is at that stage now where she likes to throw everything on the ground!

It is SO EASY to install and my daughter has never been scratched by the straps (read that in another review). My only wish is that it would last longer! We re-adjusted the height last night and realized that we only have about an inch left - I'll be so sad to see her outgrow this!

5-0 out of 5 stars We love it
All my kids have had these things. They just love them! They bouncy and get their excersize and aren't fussy at all when they're in them.

The only draw back is you have to have the right kind of doorway, and it makes your baby do the "jelly legs" thing when you try to hold them standing up. ... Read more

    Diaper Genie System Gift S

The Diaper Genie is one of this decade's most talked-about babyitems. By providing a convenient, sanitary storage container for yourdirty diapers, the Diaper Genie will help you keep your nursery andchanging table neat, organized, and odor free. The Wide Opening DiaperGenie employs a simple yet effective Twistaway disposal system: justlift up the childproof safety lid, push a dirty diaper into the wideopening, and twist the inner rim to seal the diaper in a fragrant, plastic barrier. The lightweight unit uses blue, wide opening DiaperGenie refills only (original Diaper Genie refills will not fit), andyou can fit up to 25 medium-size diapers into the Genie at one time.Along with its compact size (19.5 inches high), one nice advantage ofthe Genie is that you don't have to empty it over a garbage can. 1-0 out of 5 stars DIAPER GENIE TAKES A CRAP ON THE ENVIRONMENT
The Diaper Genie is a disgusting system that takes already environmentally-unfriendly disposable diapers and makes them even worse by wrapping them in more layers of plastic. Plus, once they end up in a landfill, the diapers decompose/biodegrade even more slowly beacuse of all the extra layers of plastic they're wrapped in! The person who called this invention an environmental nightmare was correct! If you have to use disposable diapers, fine, but don't getDiaper Genie.

3-0 out of 5 stars Figure out if you really need it!!
I received a diaper genie as a gift and it sounded great but we ended up not really needing it.We used all the time at first, then only for "stinkys" then quit using it altogether. For us it was just as easy to toss the diapers in the main house trash. We live in the boonies and have to take our garbage to the dump so house trash goes to the barn pretty much daily.Once your baby is mobile, you're probably not going to keep it in their room, my guys figured out how to knock it over and open it, not only gross but dangerous since there are some sharp cutting edges any averagely resourceful kid can get at.The other thing to consider, if you are even remotely environmentally concious, this thing is an environmental nightmare, not only are you encasing the dirty diapers in extra plastic, you then need another bag for the diaper "sausage".Essentially the diapers get wrapped in extra plastic twice.

5-0 out of 5 stars Why keep diapers so long?
Any diaper system will stink if you don't empty it. This one works great. If you are worried about the smell, you're probably not cleaning it out in a timely manner. Who wants to keep dirty diapers in their baby's room for two days?

    Goodnight Moon (Board Book)

    list price: $7.99 -- our price: $7.19
(price subject to change: see help)
US | Canada | United Kingdom | Germany | France

    Editorial Review

Perhaps the perfect children's bedtime book, Goodnight Moon is a short poem of goodnight wishes from a young rabbit preparing for--or attempting to postpone--his own slumber. He says goodnight to every object in sight and within earshot, including the "quiet old lady whispering hush." Clement Hurd's illustrations are simple and effective, alternating between small ink drawings and wide, brightly colored views of the little rabbit's room.

Finding all of the items mentioned throughout the book within the pictures is a good bedtime activity--a reappearing little mouse is particularly pesky. By the end of the little rabbit's goodnight poem, the story has quieted to a whisper, and the drawings have darkened with nightfall. As you turn the last page, you can expect a sleepy smile and at least a yawn or two. (Picture book) ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Can't believe I am giving it 5 stars
A while back I wrote a negative review of this book because I thought it was strange.(I deleted the review only a day or so after writing it, however).Like some others, I could not see the appeal of this book and didn't understand the particular writing style.I had read it to my child a few times and then stopped for a while.

Well, a couple of months ago I started reading this book at bedtime some and guess what - the baby really likes it!Now if my child likes it, then I cannot help but like it!He is 13 months old now and this is one of his many favorite books. It is part of our bedtime routine and is special to me now because I share with him each night.I am sure when he grows up I will have fond memories of "Good Night Moon", and may become sad when he thinks he is too old for this story.

Somehow, I do feel it is a sweet little book.We received 2 copies as gifts - I doubt I would have ever bought it on my own - but it has become a special tradition for us!

5-0 out of 5 stars Going on copy number 2
We love this book.My son adores it.After bath time, we put him in his crib and give him a book to play with while we read him another one.Goodnight Moon is one of the very few books that he has no desire to play with or read another book while we are reading this one (Guess How Much I Love You is another).

We love this story because it is so interactive. Now that he is getting older, he points out all the things in the story, he counts to three (three little bears sitting in chairs) and he says Night Night after each Good Night page. We just love it.

As I said we are going on book number 2 here. The first book is too well loved and we need another copy of it.

    Truly a timeless classic.

1-0 out of 5 stars Am I Nuts?
I purchased Good Night Moon for my baby Grandson.I thought this was the most over rated book ever. I told myself maybe I am old fashioned and remember the books I read to my children. after reading all of the reviews written in by customers, I finally found a couple of "Men" that see it my way. "Dad" and "Book Dad" hit the nail right on the head. I also think all of these people love this book because they think they have to like it for some reason. This Grandma can not recommend this book when there are so many better ones out there. ... Read more

    Editorial Review

Based on the popular bedtime story Guess How Much I Love You, My Baby Book is a delightful way to record and cherish the important events of your baby's first two years. Big Nutbrown Hare and Little Nutbrown Hare return to scamper through the pages, adding just the right touch of whimsy to this charming scrapbook. Divided into sections such as "Up and About" and "On Vacation," the book is enhanced by the well-known declarations of Little Nutbrown Hare. "Guess how often I fell over! Oops-a-daisy!" he says, balancing himself on a tree stump under "My First Step." Anita Jeram's soft watercolors and expressive line drawings are truly heartwarming without ever being saccharine, and the baby-book section ideas are refreshingly innovative. With ample room to record everything from baby's height and weight to the price of a newspaper on the date of baby's birth, and plenty of space to add photographs, My Baby Book is one of the best available. --Aimee Damann ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Guess How Much You Should Own This Book
This book is still a staple with my 10-year old and it is absolutely a must-have.Parent and child rabbits try to outdo each other in attempting to explain just how much they love each other...and the result is simply heartwarming.I purchase this book for all of my friends that are having babies, and they love it just as much as I do.

5-0 out of 5 stars Timeless...not just for babies!
This has been one of the special books in my son's life. When he was a very young toddler and I would ask him if he knew how much I loved him, he would throw his arms wide and proclaim, "This much!"(He got a little older and started playing with me, holding his thumb and forefinger together -- "This much?") When my mother found this book, it was if it had been written for us.My son is now almost six, and it is still among our "bedtime" books. The story is simple and sweet...and has inspired my son to try and top it in proclaiming his love.("I love you big as the sky...")Along with the book, "Love You Forever," this is one that every mother should have in her child's library.

5-0 out of 5 stars A great book!
This is a great book about a parent's love for her child! It demonstrates playful banter between a child and parent which many parents reading this book should recognize from their own interactions with their children. It is a sweet, heartwarming book.People who see this banter as "competition" are reading way too much into the story! ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Great buy!
I ditched my $300 stroller and got this simple cheap one. I love it! Cheap and very durable. With me daughter nearing 3 it is perfect and takes up little room. The basket did break but now I just hang stuff from the handles. My daugter can get in and out of it easily and it fits just about anywhere. Trunk or backseat, its a great buy. We even took it on our 7 day cruise because we figured for the price, who cares if it got lost! We went from a Peg Perego to this and have no complaints.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great stroller!!!
I bought this stroller before my daughter was born and she's been using it since she was a week old. It's a great stroller!Although it doesn't have the support of the bigger ones, it's easy to lean back and keep her in place. It's also easy to manuever and fold closed.I have a carseat cushion in it for support until she gets bigger. She's now four months old and it's still great for her.The bag on the back is wonderful for quick shopping trips and trips to the park. The one drawback is that the buckle pinches her skin.I've pinched myself a few times, which I didn't really mind, but it pinched her stomach once and I thought I was going to cry!But I'm careful about the buckle not touching her stomach now and haven't had any problems since.

3-0 out of 5 stars was happy... now dissapointed
We bought this stroller for our 17 month old in March 2004. Everything was going great until a few days ago(July) when I noticed our stroller ripping at the seat where it connects in the front to the metal. Our daughter is 21 months now and only weighs 25 lbs. I am very dissapointed that the seat wouldn't last longer with her weight, and am going to try and return it. I would get another one though, it is very convienient and light for the money we paid. The carry bag in the back fits more than you think. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Good stroller..good price
We bought this stroller because we were looking for a lighter alternative to the fullsize stroller we had.Our son is 5 months old and fits in this great! The construction is very sturdy, and the handles are awesome. It stores very easy when not in use, and my wife can easily open and close it with very little effort. The storage bags on the side are convenient, but not too big/bulky.Under storage would be nice, but what can you expect from an umbrella stroller?Last time I checked, people bought them for their convenience...not their pack-mule capacity.
Highly recommended. The price-$29.Great stroller for the money.

4-0 out of 5 stars it does not recline back
I NEED AN UMBRELLA STROLLER, THIS WAS PERFECT FOR ME, BUT IT DOES NOT RECLINE BACK, MY BABY HAS AN 1 MONTH OLD, AND I NEED THAT THE STROLLER BE RECLINABLE.
Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it does not recline back.
    THANKS

1-0 out of 5 stars serves it's purpose but not worth the price
I bought this stroller for traveling and after the first day of use the wheels started to squeak. I have tried to oil them but the squeak always comes back. It also seems very unsturdy, too much flex at the fold points. I also agree that the seat is very narrow and the safety straps are set way to low. I would have chosen a different stroller if I would have known these factors. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great swing for sleepy baby!
This is a very helpful toy! My son (3 months) naps in this swing, though I can not say he sleeps all night in this swing (but hey, thats what PNP's and cribs are for!)

I picked this one out because it had the cradle option, it wasnt too WOW (we wanted it mostly for soothing baby, not really for play since we bought a bouncer like that) and we just loved the ducks!

Our son really loves the cradle motion, I mean thats what we do to get him to sleep, in the front to back motion he seems to be happy and excited. We came up wioth this conclusion... The front to back motion is better for soothing a crying baby that you dont want to put to sleep, and they Cradle motion is great to get Mr.FightsHisSleep to take a much needed nap. The ducks are really great, they are motorized so they keep him very content! The music is soft and soothing, not as loud and boistrus as the aquarium, by the way is a great swing, but more along the lines for play time! The seat is comfortable for my premie, and big enough to hold him atleast to 5-6 months (but in a month it will be time for exersaucer shopping, so I think this swings days may be ending!) The cover is nice a cute, NOT easy to take off and wash, but breathable to keep my son dry (as opposed to sweating!)

All in all this is a great swing for a fussy, crying, sleepy baby, but I would recomend the colorful swings, or a colorful bouncer for playtime...

5-0 out of 5 stars GUARANTEED TO INDUCE 2-HOUR NAPS!
My daughter loves to sit in this. She trackes the ducks as they circle overhead, and there is a mirror on the bottom of where ther ducks are, which she likes, too.I opted for this one instead of the Ocean Wonders b/c I figured all the extra lights and music on the Ocean Wonders were just a gimmick. In hindsight, she probably would have really like those features, too.Nevertheless, I have no complaints with this swing.I think I saw it on clearance at Toys R Us for $59.99!

4-0 out of 5 stars Very helpful!
We loved the swing for its two position feature, classy colors, and simple music selections. Some swings sound irritating after a while, are tacky in color, and only swing back and forth like a typical swing.

The only issue we had was when we were finished using it.We would love if it could fold a little for storage until our next baby. ... Read more

    Editorial Review

Although the world is still fairly new to them, babies can still get bored from time to time. Fortunately, this saucer has everything they need to stay occupied and busy and then some. The saucer features a basket seat in which baby can spin around to see more of the world or just bounce up and down for fun. Along the edges of the saucer are plenty of twirling toys, squeaking toys, keys to rattle around, and that modern classic: the big friendly steering wheel. Adding to the fun are the sounds, lights, and 15 different electronic songs to play. It’s a very busy saucer all in all, no soothing lullabies or gently muted colors here, just bright tones and lots of active fun. It is called the Megasaucer, after all. --John Moe ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars My Sons Love This Saucer
Both of my sons absolutely love this saucer. My first born is too old for it now, since he is almost two, but when he was younger he would stay in it for quite awhile and loved the one toy that spinned the little beads/balls and made noises from it.My younger son who just turned 6 months still loves to go in this saucer, and he loves grabbing onto the little doggy that sticks up.I found this to be interesting since my first born never paid attention to that toy too much.My younger son can stay content in his saucer for a good 30 minutes, as long as I put some of his other toys up on the saucer too.I would definitely suggest getting this saucer if you are looking for one.The only problem I had was the one rattle type toy that spinned around would come out on one side, which I think it is meant to do that, but Im not sure.Sometimes I thought it was a good thing because my son was able to bring it closer to him and liked to put his mouth on it, but other times, when it kept coming out after I put it back in there, it was a little annoying. All in all, I think this is a great saucer and Im glad my aunt got it as a gift for us.

4-0 out of 5 stars great fun!
My daughter loved this excersaucer from 4 months til about 12 months when she started to "cruise" and wouldn't be contained anymore.I think the price is a bargain for such a lifesaver!I was able to get a few minutes to myself to cook dinner etc.The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because of the hour glass toy.I see other reviews about that and I understand that it needs to come off for safety. But why not just design a different toy for that space??It is annoying to my daughter and to me when it comes out of the hole.

5-0 out of 5 stars a must for new moms
My son absoluetly LOVES his saucer. It goes everywhere with us (fortunately we have a large car!).He is now 9 months and is still entertained by it for 20-30 minutes at a time.I do like that the new one folds...it will fit better in all cars :) ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great product
This is a great play yard. I love the bassinet feature and the flip away changing table. I read the instructions and had no problem assembling it, but the bottom did keep popping up as other posters have stated. I called Baby Trend and they said that it is part of the design. Even with the bottom locked, the mattress has to be inserted AND FULLY VELCROWED at all 6 locations and for it to stay down. Its to make sure the mattress is inserted properly. If you just lay it in, the center pops up. If you are using the bassinet feature, the center will be popped up (since it uses the same matress) but I banged it around and it is very secure, even though it doesn't look like it would be with the center popped up.
The only thing I don't like; it is hard to get in that little bag.

4-0 out of 5 stars Love the Care Center Features!
We have been using this travel yard for 4 months. My husband and father put it up in about 20 min.We have yet to travel with it, but that is in our future.Seeing that it only took 20 minutes for the initial setup I don't forsee a problem traveling with it as well.( We have become quite efficient at assembling and dissassembling baby equipment!)

This has been a lifesaver for us.We use the changing table more than the one in our baby's nursery. The pockets that clip on the side are wonderful for storing all sorts of care items so that you don't have to keep running to the nursery! We are excited that she is now old enough to start using the playpen area as well.As for the bassinet feature, our baby didn't like it as well as her bedside bassinet, so we have been using it for storage. It does make a nice toy box for those early toys, especially when you need to keep them away from the family dog!Our baby's dislike of the bassinet is the only reason I give this 4 stars instead of five.

5-0 out of 5 stars A great product
This play yard is great!I was a little concerned to purchase the product because of some of the reviews on how hard it was to lock into place, but since it was highly recommended by Consumer's Report, we decided to give it a try.We were very pleased with how easy it was to set up and take down.I can't stress enough for people to read and follow the directions, as well as look at the pictures. If you do that, it's a breeze! The play yard is sturdy, it has a wonderful feature of a swing away changing table (which was a big reason we bought this play yard) and the basinet is very sturdy and supportive. It also features a snap on holder for diaper supplies, etc.Overall, a great product and I can see why it is in the top 5 on Consumer's Report.Don't be afraid to try this play yard. You'll love it! ... 1-0 out of 5 stars a must NOT buy
We bought this instead of a high chair. It tilts, it adjusts in height. It has cute toys in the tray.I could not get the toys to work, pushing with all my strength. No fun there. It was a lot of work to get the chair to adjust in height.Even with the 6? different angles that this could tilt at, I could only get it to stay in two positions, upright or laying back, nothing in the middle. The best part is the food falls into the cracks where the straps come out and it is impossible to ever get it clean again. We would take it outside and shake it upseide down and most of the crumbs would come out.If you bought this, take it back!!!!

2-0 out of 5 stars 2 Words - CLEANING NIGHTMARE
THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY...

THE SHORT STORY:If you've bought it, take it back.

    The GOOD:
We bought this booster because it looked better than the other options out there.
    A) We liked that this had a much larger tray so my toddler was less likely to make a mess of the floor like the competitors models.
    B) It reclined to many different positions making it suitable for younger babies up through toddlers.(but see 'The bad' below)
    C) I'll clarify another reviewer's posting by mentioning that the central leg bar is removable though it's difficult and can only be done once the child no longer needs to use the tray. That's when it becomes a traditional booster seat.

    The BAD:

    A) Their is no pad on the seat except the one on the back.Small infants slide on the plastic making it difficult for them to sit properly until their around 6 mo old.
    B) The button you pull to recline the seat is so chinzy that it makes the recline feature nearly useless.Lucky you only adjust once in a great while.

    THE UGLY:

It was when our daughter began feeding herself I realized the real downfall of this seat. As other reviewers have mentioned it is impossible to clean properly. There are two large holes where the safety straps are attached and the food always falls in and underneath into the reclining mechanism. The seat bottom doesn't disassemble to clean out under there.I have gone so far as to take it outside and set our hose to pressure wash to try and force the food out from every angle. That was after I'd soaked the entire thing in bleach for 2 days.It came clean but it took 3 solid days.

I'd hoped to use this seat until our daughter was big enough to sit on her own.(It is a boster seat after all.)But yesterday I gave in and went and bought the Stokke KinderZeat. She loves it.It's ideal for toddlers and up.We have another baby on the way but I'm probably going to toss this one out and figure out another option.

Cleaning should not be this hard for Graco / Fisher Price generation.

Here's hoping the fix these issues soon!

    Gwen

2-0 out of 5 stars Frustrating
I baught this chair for its nice design and because I didn't want one of those bulky high chairs. It seemed pretty convenient also because it reclines. Although you need to get a hang of that reclining option (can be pretty tricky) it was very useful when my daughter was just a few months old. Then I realized that since the seat itself doesn't have a padding (the back does have one) the holes for the safety straps are wide open and any food that falls off the tray goes automatically in these holes (it's like a law of physics!!!). It makes it extremely hard to retrieve even impossible at times (we end up with a nice colony of ants!). My daughter is almost 18 months old now so I guess I'll just be patient instead of bying anything new. But I don't recommend that model unless you like frustration. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars NO MORE GAS
The Avent bottles are amazing. I have tried a few other bottles and they don't even compare to Avent. I started out with the Vent Air and I hated them, They only offer slow and fast flow.Avent has five diffrent flows for your growing baby.

1-0 out of 5 stars The Worst Bottles EVER!!!
Our baby is 1 week old, and she wasn't feeding very well (she preferred to sleep). The flow of other bottles we tried was too fast, so we decided to try Avent bottles...BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER!

We bought a pack of 3 bottles, and nothing would go through the nipple...even my husband tried sucking on them and couldn't get any liquid to flow. The worst thing was that we had already tried to feed our baby with one, and she had been sucking air for about 15 minutes!!!

We called Avent customer service, and their solution was to exchange the bottles, which we did...and ended up with 3 other bottles with the exact same problem. Talk about quality control, WHAT A JOKE!!!

    5-0 out of 5 stars Don't overtighten!
I love these bottles.I breastfeed and supplement with Avent bottles. No nipple confusion. No gas.You can not overtighten the tops or you may get some leaks. We have had great success with these. ... Read more
