realistic toy
As soon as I saw this toy it was love at first sight! I had a lot of fun putting it together and my daughter (almost 4) absolutely loves the swing! Two dolls can sit side-by-side on it and end up getting gently pushed during play time. The trellis has nice little stickers of trailing roses that you put on the side and the birdbath has two little cute lovebirds that you attach to the rim. The chairs and table set snap together easily and are so cute.

I just put this toy set together a few days ago and I didn't know what to rate it so I rated it 3 stars although I should rate it as "pending" since you never know with 2 little kids! So far, this toy has survived getting thrown around the house by my little tornado that I call my son. :)

Very Pretty Playset
I've recently started collecting Barbie playsets, and initially I passed this one over. Most Barbie stuff is pink or purple colored, and they don't look too realistic, but this Magic Jewel playset does look like something you'd actually see in a real life garden.

The pieces are relatively easy to snap together. Although from the picture Amazon.com shows, I think they might have assembled the swing wrong. At first I put the bars together so they would curve too, but the picture on the box and the instructions show you the bars should be straight.

The hair jewels and bracelets are really small, but if kids keep them in the snap-shut jewelry box, there's less of a chance of losing them. The spaghetti and bread are realistic, like Kitchen Littles were, if you collect that. There's glitter you can use with the snap-on bird attachment, but that'll probably get messy.

I'd recommend this playset for kids AND collectors because of the more realistic colors,and because pieces like the swing and birdbath are hard to find and not usually manufactured in Barbie toys! ... Read more

I see this doll can't be bought on the net or in stores, But you may be abel to find it at doll showes, flea markets, antic shops etc, Well any way, I just want to say, this is a great doll. The dog is cute. and you can solvemystries with this doll. if not, Only it's best to bread each section of doll hair, cause it's very frizzy. I recamend this doll for adult collecters, or older childern.

Mystery Squad Kenzie
This doll is lovely, from her hair down to her shoes. What amazed me most about this doll is her face and hair. Her face is beautiful and delicate looking. she has few blonde streaks throughout her hair. Even though you can't comb her hair, I just love the spiral curl look. She is posable at her neck, elbow, twist and turn waste and knees are bendable.She also comes wearing a black choker around her neck, a mid-drift like jacket, a sleeveless mid-drift top, a denim looking skirt, knee high socks, platform white shoes. She also has painted on white undies LoL, plus other accessories are included. I rated her 3 stars on educational because I really don't think she has any educational value. She will probably be a doll your daughter might enjoy for a short period of time but end up thrown and forgotten in a toy chest. Since I collect dolls I found her to be a great addition to my collection since I did buy her on ebay as a "face repaint".

Ok, first things first. Read the suggested age limit!!!!! That is put their for a reason!!!!! Before I tell the pros and cons of this doll I would like to make something clear:
This doll is really great! I love it and I have read every single review on this GREAT product!! Those of you who are worried about this product get a grip! If you disagree with this product get on the show Nanny 911. That is for people who are new with kids and have problems DEALING WITH THEM!!!!!
This product is good for teaching kids about the "birds and the bees." But consider your child's age level!! Ages 1-3 should NOT have this product!! Ages 4-6 only need a small amount of info, such as, "Midge goes to the hospital and the doctor takes the baby out, than Midge comes home." THAT IS ALL THE INFO THEY NEED OR WANT!!!!! YOU DO NOT NEED TO EXPLAIN ABOUT "THE BIRDS AND THE BEES YET!" Ages 7-9 can take more. Increase the info u give by the age of the child.
I am sorry if I sound mean but you should be surprised on the amount of people out there who have kids without knowing how to deal with them, which makes me very mad! TAKE PARENTING CLASSES BEFORE YOU HAVE KIDS OR AT LEAST CRACK OPEN A PARENTING BOOK!!!! IF YOU ALREADY HAVE KIDS YOU CAN STILL LEARN MORE!!!
Now about this product.... It is really great! The baby is very cute and Midge is very pretty. She has a WEDDING ring on that will not fall off. She is quite durable with gentle handling (Once again read the age limit!) and she has some small pieces. The crib is clever how it changes into a changng table and the whole set is great! Buy this product if you don't already have it!!!!
Back to where I'm angry. Do you cover your child's eyes when you see a pregnant woman? Do you simply say she is fat? I don't know about you,but I don't like being called fat. If you want to go against something go against Bratz, My Scenes, and those Cali Barbie things! Those are nasty looking and promote midriff tops and other bad things that are not for children.

Daughter Loves It!
My three year-old daughter loves this toy.We took most of the small pieces out of the box(for obvious reasons)and let her play with the Barbie and the babies.She takes such tender care of "her" babies now.She wraps them in their blankets and rocks them in the medical cribs that come with the set.

Overall, this is a fun toy for youngsters.As is with most Barbie dolls, there are gobs of small pieces.Keep that and the age of your child in mind when purchasing this toy.

im 11 yrs old and love happy family dolls i have two midge dolls the 1yr. old nikki and the newborn one. i also have the nieborhood alan and ryan.amd to grandma and grandpa dolls with grandmas kitchen.and i have the baby store and midges pregnant clothes pack. i have a living room playset a kitchen and three bed rooms.im hoping to get all of the othr happy family products.but its really hard to save up my alliance to by barbies when i need lancome makeup and clothes.i get paid 100 dollars every other week but i havent been able towork in about a month.i dont have this doll yet but the nextdollars i get im buying it and the car.

Good Barbie doll
My sister-in-law bought this for my 4 year old as a present and my daughter loves it.She loves the fact that this doll can bend and flex and she likes the outfit this Barbie came with as well.Also, the boom box is a cool accessory for her to play with and not too small to get lost.

This Chelsea Myscene doll is really a great purchase!I have had a lot of fun playing with this toy.In addition to all the play I have enjoyed with this doll, the Myscene dolls and website have inspired me to think creatively and be myself.Unlike some other companies such as Bratz dolls, Mattel has created a set of dolls that are not out of proportion and do not influence children to become teenagers too quickly.For instance, Myscene dolls encourage being yourself and friendships over boyfriends while Bratz advertise with dolls sitting on the cars of boy dolls and growing up all too fast.Enjoy being a kid while you still have the chance!Myscene dolls are fun, and while I like Mattel I prefer these dolls over their new "Flava" dolls.

This was my very first my scene doll. she is soooo cool! i luv all her accesories and she is super pretty. a lot of people think bratz are better but i dont agree. not that i dont like bratz, i do. in my oppinion they' re equal. the biggest difference is that the my scene have feet and bratz dont, they just have stubbs. the my scene feet are regular sized barbie feet and they look wierd on the much bigger my scene dolls but that doesnt matter becasue most of the time you dont notice. ... This doll is great! Debbie Demke from Alhambra, CA USA, I don't see why you are so upset? There is nothing wrong with that song or the word "communist." I knew what communism was when I was 9. nolee is okay but she is not my favorite my scene. I dont HATE her but she is not my favorite. I like bratz better but no offence to the my scene lovers!!! I love Bryant no offence but every Bryant doll needs to work on his shoes but over all he his GREAT!!!!

GREAT, BUT COULD BE BETTER.

My husband got me this as part of Christmas. I am using it when I travel for makeup, jewelry, toiletries, and hair stuff. I love this! So cute and shows your passion for fashion dolls!
The little Velcro zip top pouch which sticks to the case inside under the mirror is perfect for the jewelry and hair clips!
This case is easy to pack, use, and carry, and fits very nicely inside a regular suitcase for your clothes. My only (very minor) complaint is that it's hard to keep the case open wide, ex. if you need to use the mirror to apply your makeup on a countertop height.

Mother of 4
My 5 year old received this case for her birthday.She has taken it everywhere with her for the last few months.She keeps all her "collections" in it.She really loves it and I think it has helped her get a little more organized...so I love it too.

Well...
I have two daughters ()and they LOVE playing Barbies together.They were both begging for the 'Dad' for their 'Happy Family' dolls.My (child)got this for her birthday and within 10 minutes the head poped off.I put the head back on but it usually only stays on for a few minutes and they are asking back to me to put it back on again.

What? The arm DOES NOT fall off
I don't know why people are saying that Alan's (the dad's) arm falls off because I've had this doll for quite some time and even when I toss him in my Barbie Moter Home from my hight 5"1 it DOES NOT fall off. But this doll is very cute, and I love how Alan and Ryan's clothes match. This does not look like your typical Ken doll, Alan has those lines you get around your cheeks when you smile and has that awsome highted hair look you get in the summer (not that green color you get from the pool the good one, from the sun). So I think if you have or want Midge, the Alan and Ryan set are a must. And also, that so called icky hair spray is not sticky or wet, it is there so you don't mess up his awsome hair, and if you have a problem with his hard hair you can rinse it out with water a couple of times it's just fine. : )

My 3 year old daughter accidentally dropped the father portion of this set and the arm from the elbow down, broke right off.My daughter is 3 feet tall.From a height of 3 feet, this doll shouldn't break.Furthermore, the head on this was very loose from the day we got it. It was always looking like it was going to come off.The hair on these two dolls has been covered in hard glue.So, it's icky and you can't comb it.My daughter only used these two as escorts "to the ball" for her Barbie and Kelly dolls anyway.They weren't major players in her mind.Just bit characters.Anyway, good luck with the whole durability thing.These two probably won't last long. ... A beautiful, original doll
My daughter and I have a My Scene collection, and this one is my favorite.She has beautiful coffee skin and gorgeus wavy hair.Her face and makeup are so pretty.I really like this line because of the great hair and the modern stylish clothes that are a much higher quality than the usual Barbie fare.I especially like the shoes (and boots), which are much larger and stay on.I have all the extra outfits; since the dolls come with stands they can display their cool outfits when we're done playing.There is nothing I don't like about these dolls.I really tried not to like them when they first came out, but once I checked them out I was hooked.

are these dolls original???
I would like to point out how much my scene dolls trends resemble the bratz.They dont look alike but when bratz came out with winter wonderland two months later my scene did. These has happned before with other bratz and my scene dolls. I personally would rather buy the more original doll- Bratz

My feather off to Matel
Being an american indian, I am very happy and proud to see a doll come out with the features of the native american people instead of the more caucasian features.This doll was one I gladly jumped at to purchase to pass down to my daughter, and hopefully one day,to her daughter as well.Keep up the good work!

An absolute MUST HAVE for the Barbie Collector
I purchase barbie collectibles for resale.This particular barbie, Spirit of the Earth from the Native Spirit Collection, was too incredible to pack away for a future sale.She stands proudly, along with her counterpart Spirit of the Water, in my glass display case. You can't just look at her and turn away.The intricacy of her authentic native american dress holds you spellbound as your eyes move from detail to detail.She is truly a beautiful doll.

Spirit of the Earth
I have to say this was one barbie I couldn't refuse. The face mold the make-up and the clothing on this doll is beautifully done. When I saw this doll in Toys-r-us I said to myself, "Wow she really looks native American in my eyes". Now I'm a happy owner of this doll. I rated 3 stars on education because it didn't really have a good summarize history on natives. A 5 star durablity since I will not be taking her out of the box or perhaps only for display. The doll is really for adults though.

It's a must have for any doll collector.... :o)
Don't let this one slip away because the 2nd series on this doll doesn't actually live up to its expectations. She looks more like your typical barbie with a tan in native clothes<--(just my opinion). ... Read more

Beautiful doll BUT mattel could of done better
The doll is beautiful but the price is overrated.Her outfit is done well.Her face is just generation girl Lara's face painted over brown with a change in makeup.And two pigtails.Come on Mattel.The Princess of the Incas doll was 20 X better than this one and for a fraction of the price.Plus her face mold was much better. I would get her on sale if possible.

Authentic Native American
I love the entire Spirit series from barbie. This doll is my favorite from the collection. She captures the essence of native americans who are a little more brown in complextion. Her outfit is beautiful and just a great doll over all. For the barbie collector!

Perfect gift for a young lady, ages 3+.
I grew up having many Barbie dolls and I have always thought they were elegantly dressed and very proper for little girls. Unlike some promiscuous and lewd looking dolls being sold everywhere, this doll represents refined beauty, without being scantily clad and having a cell phone stuck to her face. Another reviewer commented that this doll had a nasty face, but I disagree.The doll looks like what I'd imagine a real princess would look like, soft peaches and creme complexion, big brown eyes, and a normal natural looking body. She has real human hair that is so soft, long and curly. She's definately not undernourished, like most POP STARS. I decided to buy and give this beautiful doll to my niece on her 3rd birthday. The doll was "overly secured" to the package, so ladies get out your sharpest scissors and be prepared. Try not to cut her hair, because it is sewn into the box with plastic weave. I presented her to my niece, who's first response was a squeak of pure excitement. (Thanks to you and your staff @ Amazon for making my niece's birthday such a success) I also purchased the two pound Nemo from this site, needless to say Nemo and The Princess were rushed to my niece's new playground, purchased by her grandparents, to swing and slide and to live happily ever after.

Shameful, Mattel.
I've stumbled far from my usually path here in the Amazon, and though I'd normally just quietly head back to my own realm, I'm just so struck by this ridiculous doll that I've got to say something.The description of this doll suggests that she represents all of the "beauty and splendor" of the imperial era ...whose beauty and splendor?The Portuguese Empire was a very evil, deadly thing for millions of real, living human beings, as all empires are.Is there a "Colonized Subject of the Portuguese Empire Barbie" to go with this one?How about an "African Slave Barbie"?An "Indentured Indian Servant Barbie"?
This toy glosses over a lot of real-life horror and cruelty, romanticizing and misinterpreting history.What is the educational value of this toy?Not only is it none, it seems that it is even anti-educational in that it misinterprets and misinforms.A "Portuguese Princess Barbie" would have been fine ...but why would ANYONE make a children's doll which glorifies Empire?Adding that one word brings so much baggage, and so much pain that still exists in many people in the world today.Shame, shame, shame on Mattel for this ignorance.A toy-maker should be much more careful about what they're producing for children.
