Including such moves as the People's Elbow to the Stone-Cold Stunner, WWF: Raw features realism and highly detailed graphics. You can play as any of more than 35 WWF superstars--including the Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, the Undertaker, and Triple H--as you fight to win the title of WWF Heavyweight Champion. For the first time ever, you can assault opponents on their way to the ring and see the audience scatter as the action spills into the crowd. The game features TV-style presentation with in-game cutaways and Double Feature replays. The variety of match types include a Royal Rumble and King of the Ring tournament. The game also includes authentic superstar entrances complete with full TitanTron videos. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Bad Bad Game!!
I knew this game wasn't very deep when I bought it
used for 10 bucks. But even so I was SHOCKED by the
limits of this game. The roster of wrestlers is
nothing to write home about and there simply isn't
alot of moves you can do. The lack of matches is also
a big negitive. I got to say that I have not played
a good wrestling game since WWF NO Mercy on the Nintendo
    64. Seems as though wrestling games died after that.
Another thing is that the fun seems to be lacking. You
don't have much freedom due to the crowd factor(this
should be an option and not a unchangeable rule)and it
makes me feel tight as a gamer and you really can't
afford to play around with the oppnent at all. Just no
fun here at all. Gave it to a fews son. What a poor soul
    he is.

1-0 out of 5 stars Wow this stinked....
To make it short this was a terrible game this was one of the reasons I got an XBOX but this was just plain dissapointing and the matches are very outdated especially for the time this game came out! It's just...terrible..The visuals were pretty good but that's pretty much it...The rest it all falls down...

Don't get this game, if you want a good Wrestling game get WWE SMACKDOWN Here comes the Pain for PS2.Other then that...

    Editorial Review

Spider-Man: The Movie brings your friendly neighborhood web slinger to life with engrossing realism, proving that a superhero game of such complex nature can be achieved with nearly flawless and nonintrusive gameplay. Be it wandering the city's environs in search of villains or just checking out your surroundings by web-swinging high above them, you truly can do whatever Spider-Man can. It's all here: high-flying aerial battles, the ability to web up and yank your enemies close for pummeling, and the capacity for crawling or web-zipping up, down, and over any surface--and that's just for starters. All in all, this is one involved game that does not fail to live up to the hype.

The game parallels the motion picture's story line, steering you through a progression of challenges that begins with the hunt for Uncle Ben's murderer, and ends with a final showdown with the Green Goblin. You begin as Peter Parker dressed in his wrestling costume and must defeat a variety of thugs throughout each level before advancing to the next set of challenges. The game gets progressively tougher as you encounter, in turn, Shocker, the Vulture, Scorpion, and, of course, the Green Goblin.

Visually, Spider-Man is a treat: cityscapes unfold in realistic detail and are enhanced by sunlight shining between buildings; cutscenes offer seamless animation; interiors are painstakingly re-created; and Spider-Man and his enemies are well rendered, moving about the screen in clean fashion. As an added bonus, most characters are voiced by their movie counterparts, and the training mode features the sarcastic wit of Evil Dead star Bruce Campbell. --Larry White

    Pros:

    • Detailed controls bring Spider-Man to life
    • Challenging gameplay enhanced by numerous fight styles
    • Stunning visuals at every level
    Cons:
    • Camera angles slow to respond at times
    • Some interiors too dark
    • Repetitive one-liners

4-0 out of 5 stars This game is alright
This game is cool for awhile if you like to swing around the city and save people but the graphics are a little crappy and you do the same bull over and over again like save people and hear people scream spiderman help me over and over again.Gets old fast but if your die hard spider dork you need to buy this but if your an average gamer like myself you might want to rent this for a couple days.

4-0 out of 5 stars Spider-Man: Cool or Fool?
This game was super awesome, but the game was too easy. The only thing missing was another level. It could have used another level.Finding those combos are hard. For those who are reading, here's a chaeat that enables all levels: ARACHNIDCool, huh? I give it an 8.4. But really, it requires skill and strong focus, but seriously, it could have used another level.

4-0 out of 5 stars fun for action players
This game overall is one of my favorites. It really deserves 4 and a half stars. But one of the things is a lot of the things in the game don't happen in the movie. This is not a problem for me and probably for most. In the game you not only fight the Green Goblin but the Shocker, Vulture, and Scorpion, with the addition of Uncle Ben's killer (who really isn't a supervillian). Another nice thing about this game is the combat, which can also be a hassle at times. In the game you get WAY more moves than in the previous games. In the beggining you don't get many awesome combo moves, but as you progress through the game your moves get more interesting. Another nice thing is the graphics. At times you'll just want stand and look at the buildings which reflect the other things outside and the designs on Spiderman's or Goblin's outfit. This games bosses are challenging and willmake you want to fight them again. Buy this game. ... Read more

    Editorial Review

When Sony released the PlayStation2 last year, there were only a fewstandout games. One of them, SSX, brought snowboarding to people whodidn't even like snowboarding. Now, only a year later, PS2 fans get a new reasonto stay indoors during the cold winter months. SSX Tricky is the game, and it more than lives up to the moniker.

Tricky removes two characters from the previous game and adds five newones. It adds two new race locations to the already beefed-up World Circuit(Garibaldi and Alaska). The developers also added features to the older tracks, effectively making them new again. Tricky improves the graphics a bit andrefines the controls. The game even tweaks the basic gameplay by letting youupgrade your boarder's stats in races, but also forcing you to attempt andmaster the showoff mode. And EA improved the challenge by evening out thelearning curve. SSX tended to be a cakewalk until the later races in eachset, but this time your rivals get more intense and aggressive depending uponthe lap you're taking.

As in the first game, personality is everything. This is true not only in termsof voice acting, but also in how you treat opponents. The game has a few basicattitudes. If you block and attack characters too much, they'll remember andactively seek you out. If you help one or two of them, they'll become yourallies, warning you of danger or fending off attackers.

In many ways, SSX Tricky is only an upgrade of the previous game.Admittedly, the additions don't look like enough to justify buying the game allover again. But the changes are deep enough to change quite a bit, and they'lldelight even fans who are tired of, or who mastered, the first game. Maybethat's the most impressive über-trick of them all. --Bob Andrews

    Pros:

    • Refined controls and new tricks
    • Excellent computer intelligence and challenge
    Cons:
    • The graphics are only slightly improved

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Snowboarding Game Ever
This game is excellent. Any fan of snowboarding will love this game. This game has the best qualities. The soundtrack is phenomenal, the voices of the characters are some well known people, the controls and graphics are excellent, and how many snowboarding games has a guy with a huge orange 'fro named Eddie(and he's voiced by David Arquette). This game is excellent I recommend this game to everyone.

5-0 out of 5 stars Goin' back ol' school, Tricky Style
Wow!What can I say!I love this game tremendously!I love everything about it!Where should I start?

I first became addicted to this baby, when I was commuting up to 4 hours daily, and had very little free time.I needed a game that provided a quick pick up and go game play style, with a short learning curve. That's what SSX Tricky, or Tricky for short, provides. But it is not short on the fun.I love to play this game with my son, 3 ½, and we've actually been playing it together since he was about 1, almost 2.It is most likely his favorite game.(We play several together, including SSX 3, Gran Turismo, Burnout 2, and many others.)And the fact that he can pick it up and enjoy it, speaks volumes about the enjoyment of it.

His favorite character is Zoe.I love Kaori! It's kind of funny, because he believes Zoe to be a man, and gets mad when I call her "her."When we play doubles, he insists that we both play the same character.I think he likes it to be fair.Lately, I've been racing Kaori against his Zoe.

This game offers many levels of increasing difficulty, and at least 8 fabulous courses to race on.I like how you can ride snowdrifts in Arizona and Hawaii, among other more traditional cold mountain get-a-ways.When I play this on my 55-inch wide screen, and I fall down a mountain, I feel my stomach getting butterflies, because you really fell like your skiing down a mountain.A total blast!

The thing that I also like about this game is it is one of the few videogame DVD's providing a healthy supply of bonus materials, including: Behind the scenes with the character voices/actors; Jukebox, where you can listen to every song in its entirety; previews of other EA Big games; interviews with staff, etc.Would be nice to see more videogames doing this!

    Two W's up!Big time!

4-0 out of 5 stars One of playstation 2's best games
SSX Tricky is an awesome game. It's thrilling and challenging but easy enough so that children and adults alike can play. It's much better than ssx, and you can easily rack up points to score a top spot on the high score list. if you are not sure weather to purchase or not, i reccomend that you high-tail it on over to your nearest blockbuster or hollywood video and rent it. don't have a playstation? blockbuster allows you to rent the console as well. to rent a game is usually about $6 and the console is usually around $24 with a $300 deposit which you get back when you return the system a week later. i highly reccomend ssx tricky and once again, if you are not sure, try blockbuster or hollywood video. oh and some people might think that kids can't write reviews, right? well guess what, i just did. ... Editorial Review

NBA Street is the best arcade basketball title available. Period. Why? No refs, no clocks, no fouls. Players will knock you over, and theypractically live for blatant goaltending throughout the game. Realistic? No, butit's always fun--even if you hate basketball.

Street has two different game modes--City Circuit and Hold the Court--yetthe differences here are minimal. Both feature three-on-three games of 21, inwhich you must assemble a squad composed of (initially) NBA players. Soonyou'll play against street legends (read: bosses) that, once defeated, can beadded to your team. Your ultimate goal is to defeat the biggest legend ever:Michael Jordan.

To survive the streets, you must learn which buttons to mash as you masterspecific stunts. This will add special points to your score and give you accessto different ways to score. Though similar to NBA Jam and its sequels,Street is deeper, and sports a surprisingly developed finesse game.

Street does commit some fouls, though, with its over-the-top, repetitivecommentary and lack of play modes. However, even if you hate arcade-stylebasketball, you'll find Street differs from the pack, making it a solidMVP contender.

    Pros:

    • Good controls and gameplay
    • Pleasantly cartoonish graphics
    • Arcade approach makes it fun for those turned off by very technicalbasketball simulations
    Cons:
    • Horrific commentary
    • Only 2 very similar gameplay modes
    • No 4-player support

    Editorial Review

The PlayStation2 takes the Gran Turismo franchise to new heights in thethird edition of the venerable racing series. The graphics are sure to grabyou--the cars and tracks are awe inspiring, and there are some incredible lightingeffects. This game is much more than eye candy, though.

The gameplay in Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec is the same as its predecessors;fans of the previous games will feel right at home, while newcomers will be ableto pick things up easily. There are more than 150 cars from which to choose, andplenty of tracks upon which to race them. Arcade mode works well for a quickfix, while simulation mode provides outstanding replay value. The sound effectsare impressive--each engine has a unique sound, and tire screeches fromdifferent cars sound noticeably different. The soundtrack is a good mix oforiginal compositions and a wide variety of recording artists, including MotleyCrue, Raekwon, Jimi Hendrix, and Snoop Dogg.

One minor flaw with the game is its relatively predictable artificialintelligence. Computer-controlled cars follow distinct lines, and you'll be ableto pick up the patterns after a few races. Considering how far the graphics havecome since the original Gran Turismo, it's disappointing that the AIhasn't progressed similarly. Despite this, GT3 remains an outstandinggame. Few games offer its combination of high quality and immense variety.--Raymond M. Padilla

    Pros:

    • Incredible graphics
    • Excellent physics and controls
    • Great soundtrack

    • Predictable AI
    • No Porsche or Ferrari licenses

    • Gran Turismo 3 raises the bar for racing games.
    • Using the calculation power of the PlayStation 2, the physics model is identical to that of a real car!

    • Environment mapping creates broadcast-quality graphics that blur the line between game and reality.

5-0 out of 5 stars Only GT4 is better!!
The only driving simulator that is better is GT4. If your expecting an easy arcade like racer with Lambo's and dressed up import's go try NFS or some other title. Gran Turismo is the measure by which all racing game's are compared to, and justifable too. Realistic graphic's and physic's are great. Expect to take a lot of time learning to drive. This is not a casual racer. Only two comment's/annoyance's are the music and number of car's. 1. Cars: Or should I say lack of car'
    s. I think there were more car's in the original Gran Turismo(not sure I could be wrong). Also I think that more of a variety of car's. After winning the 50th Nissan Skyline(not sold in USA) it get a bit annoying, lol. This is fixed in GT4 so don't worry too much(number of car's). 2.Music: Aside from Lenny Kravitz and Motley Crue the sound is pale in comparison to GT2(The best of Gran turismo soundtracks). This also goes for GT4(apart from Van Halen's-"Panama"). It seem's as if they spent so much time and effort on other area's and music was an afterthought. In the first two (GT and GT2) soundrtack's they were an integril(I know I spelled that wrong, lol)part of the experience. Only serious racer's and car nuts need to apply.

1-0 out of 5 stars I MEAN NO STARS!
    This game has bad graphics.
    It has sucky cars.
It is so hard to play on different tracks.
The cars dosn't even have a driver in it.

5-0 out of 5 stars The King of All Racing Games!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been a fan of Gran Turismo ever since it's debut. The game is so addictive that I have played it for 10 hours straight! The graffics are stunning and the courses are well made. My favorite part about the game is that they brought in F1 racers. I smoke the competition every time I use my 900 horsepowered monster! Over all this game is AWESOME! ... Read more

    Editorial Review

With Grand Theft Auto III, Rockstar proves that not alldevelopers are concerned with toning down the violence in their games. Thissequel is even more bloody, violent, and sadistic than its popular predecessors, offering up an enormous 3-D city in which nearly any criminal act is possible.Players are free to steal cars, beat up the local population for their money (orweapons), make time with prostitutes, or simply roam to their heart's content. Those seeking more structure can embark on dozens of plot-driven missions orsteal cars that let them play minigames. Nab a cop car and you can go onvigilante missions. Grab a cab and you can play a deadly version of CrazyTaxi. Take a fire truck and you can earn money putting out fires. The gamejust never gets boring.

As in real life, there are consequences for your criminality. As your randomacts of mayhem mount up, the police start hounding you, eventually calling inSWAT trucks, the FBI, and even the army if you continue down the path ofdestruction. Shaking these pursuers is easily the most fun part of the game, especially when a bunch of friends are packed in the room to witness your narrowescapes.

Grand Theft Auto III is fine-tuned to near perfection in every category. All the vehicles, from slick sports cars to lumbering dump trucks, handleexactly as you'd expect and smash apart realistically when abused. The threeislands in the game are rendered in terrific detail considering their size, andare packed with traffic, pedestrians, and hidden jumps. The audio is equallyamazing. Pedestrians talk, cops scream at you, and you can tune in ninedifferent radio stations whenever you are in a car. It all adds up to amonumental achievement: the rare console game for adults that manages to geteverything right. --T. Byrl Baker

    Pros:

    • Offers an enormous world for players to exploit, rendered in staggeringdetail
    • Equally fun whether you go on plot-based missions or run around as afreelance crook
    Cons:
    • Ultraviolence, foul language, and adult situations mean you'll want to keepthis far away from kids

4-0 out of 5 stars What Makes This Addictive?
I got this game when I was six and I am still playing this very good game. For 2001 this is a really good game. People thought it was too violent. Well, you don't have to be violent in the game. Only in a couple of missions will you have to get mean. If you can't get Grand Theft Auto 3 buy Mafia. But this game gives 72 missions. I am still trying to get a 100 percent rating. By the end of the game you will only have 17 percent done. A lot of side things to do makes this the best game ever made. Just next time Rockstar makes A GTA game. Take out the Sexual Content and all the other things and make it like Grand Theft Auto 3

1-0 out of 5 stars Much better on the computer
get this game for your computer. ps2's rubbish controllers don't do this game any justice. much better pressing a key and stealing a car than lumping a button on a rubbish controller.

Complete with all 31 NFL teams, as well as legendary teams from years past, Madden NFL 2002 delivers hard-hitting action. The 2002 release adds all-new player face and body technology and hundreds of new animations. Its upgraded coach animations heighten the drama on the field, and it's still the only game that lets the coaches roam the sidelines.

Taking you beyond the broadcast, Madden NFL 2002 delivers exhibition, season, playoff, two-minute drill, and tournament modes. You can also play in franchise mode and take complete control in a quest for NFL glory. The 2002 release of this popular NFL series also takes you inside the huddle with new camera replay angles, and it delivers widescreen TV support. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars I love this Game!
    Well,
I just want to say that this games truly rocks! I love the graphics, the animations, sound bytes, season and franchise mode and the hype of going thru a season/play-offs and going all the way against the computer in all-madden mode. As a matter of fact I just lead my San Fransico 49'ers to a "Super Bowl win in year 1 in franchise mode against the Indianapolis Colts on Chirstmas eve 2003. (final score 24-21)I am getting ready to shape my roster to start year 2. In fact I love the on the field graphics even better than "NFL MADDEN 2004", although the 2004 version has more features both on and off the field I still think the overall on the field animation and clear cut look around the field and view of the players is better and more realistic than '04. Heck, I didn't care to buy the 2003 or 2004 version. I'am quite satisfied with "NFL MADDEN 2002". I hope that the 2005 game is similar in on the field style and graphics as 2002, then I would like to upgrade perhaps. I won't deny I wish the play-by-play comentary was a bid sharper with each play and situation, sometimes I hear good old John Madden say a comment that has nothing to do with what's really going on in the game. For instance, I am playing a game right, and its barely still early in the first or second quarter and say I am loosing by 7-10 points and I decide to run the ball and John says, its no longer time to run the ball any more. Could it be that I play 6 minute quarters? Oh well, things like that. I also would love to see more hype and celebration after each win! Special after a play-off win, and oh yeah, please make more on the field celebration and commenatary after getting and winnig the SUPER BOWL! How about showing the legendary Lombardy Thorphy please!

Your game guides come in very handy thank you! I do own the game guide for "MADDEN 2002" it has made me a much better player.

I hope this games keep getting better in every way!

    Sincerly,

    Julio

5-0 out of 5 stars Better than PS1
I played this game on Playstaion and i was disappointed with the fact that the Left-footed kickers such as Joe Nedney from the titans was Right-footed. That has bugged me for the longest time. If you want to make a realistic game, make the players realistic liek having Left-Footed kickers. Well, I played this game on PS2 and I was blown away. The different camera angles, The auto-zoom, the players names are readable on their backs. This game just is amazing.

5-0 out of 5 stars A really awesome football game
I used to think that Tecmo Superbowl for the original Nintendo was the best football game of them all. Now that I've been introduced to Madden 2002 it's opened up a whole new playing field. With awesome play-by-play coverage and commentary by John Madden and Pat Summeral and smooth graphics and great handling, and the addition of Madden cards and managing your own franchise, Madden 2002 is the best football game of 2002.
Bottom Line: Madden 2002 rocks ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars NBA Live 2002
NBA Live 2002 is a pretty good installment of the 10 year series. It plays similar to 2001 but with some added bonuses like a decent Franchise mode (just like Madden 2002) that you one have to be careful about because all NBA league regulations with the Salary Cap count here so be careful on who you sign because it could hurt you later! And in this mode, after each season, there is also a draft which is pretty cool as well.

Also, vast improvements have been made in the game as well. It's a lot easier to hit alley oops now unlike 2001 where the ball would go 10' above the intended player's head. The annouce team is less annoying and they use a lot of player's nicknames (ex: Kevin Garnett is called KG and Michael Olawakhandi is called the Candy Man). Rebounding is no longer impossible! That was such a problem in 2001 (unless you actually had a decent rebounder or you made one). And now the computer actually plays against you unlike in the past all you had to do was head fake until they jumped and then you could just blow them outta the water. And of course Michael Jordan that is playable on a Season or Franchise mode.

There were some drawbacks too. The game got a little slower in pace. Not by much but you can tell that it got a little slower. Also, when you trade for players, make sure that you check each player on your team because I noticed that the computer no longer gives your new player a new number. Thank goodness I noticed that because at one point, I had 3 Number 21's on my team. Another thing that I liked better was that actual still pictures were used for each player (ex Player of the Game) and now the computerized image is substituted for that.

I still think that it's a great game but if you're looking for a faster pace, more challenging game, check out NBA 2K2 or NBA 2K3 because you'll be surprised how challenging those 2 are. Either way it goes, you'll be picking a quality NBA game.

4-0 out of 5 stars This game is almost there
I'm a fan of the NBA Live franchise, this game comes realy close to it, but it's not there yet.the graphics are realy good, but there needs to be more control. One the best things is that Michael Jordan is back on a team that you can use in a Franchise Mode!!!

3-0 out of 5 stars why no slam dunk contest & assesories?
De game would have been more tyte if u put an slam dunk contest and you should've added more assesories to the create player section. If you make a 2004 you should add this all. ... Read more

    Editorial Review

The best extreme-sports game ever gets even better in Tony Hawk's ProSkater 3. The elements that made the last two games a success are back:tight controls, deep trick system, a wide selection of skaters (including TonyHawk, Bucky Lasek, Rodney Mullen, Chad Muska, Elissa Steamer, and others), and aslick soundtrack (featuring the Ramones, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Motorhead,KRS-One, Redman, and more). Adding to the already brilliant formula is a new trick, updated graphics, and Internet play.

In Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, players were introduced to the manual--amove that greatly revolutionized the series' gameplay. This installmentintroduces the revert, and while it isn't as significant an addition as themanual, it does add another layer to the already deep trick system. The gamefeatures solid graphics, but a level of detail was sacrificed in order to makethe game's levels so large. There are a few frame skips and polygon clips, butthese occasions are rare and do not overshadow the stellar gameplay.

Career mode is as deep as ever, with eight objective-filled levels. In thissingle-player mode, players traverse their way through some brilliantly designedcourses to achieve high scores, find the letters to the word "skate," findhidden videotapes, and interact with level-specific objects. Two players canparticipate in the five multiplayer minigames, which include king of the hill, horse, and trick attack. Up to four players can join Internet or LAN gamesthrough the use of the PS2 Network Adapter or numerous USB devices. SupportedUSB Ethernet adapters include LinkSys EtherFast USB100TX, D-Link DSB-650TX, SMCEZNET-USB 2102, and SOHOware NUB100. Supported USB modems include Zoom FaxModem2985L, Pocket NetSurfer NMT00700, MultiTech MT5634ZBA, and ActiontecUSB56012-01CW. USB keyboards are also supported, enabling players to type trash online.

We tested Internet play using the LinkSys and a DSL modem; the action was verysmooth with no noticeable lag. On its own, this is a top-shelf title, butconsidering its Internet capabilities, there's no reason for fans of sports, action, and platform games not to own Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3. This gamewill satisfy them all. --Raymond M. Padilla

    Pros:

    • First Internet-capable PS2 game
    • Tight, addictive, outstanding gameplay
    • Gargantuan levels and plenty of objects to interact with
    Cons:
    • Some minor graphics glitches

5-0 out of 5 stars I absolutely love this game!
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 is my favorite PS2 game currently in my posession. The graphics are great!

I also have the cheat codes, if anyone wants to defy all moral reason and use them. To unlock all sorts of neat players(Like The Demoness, the Neversoft Eyeball, Kelly Slater, and many more) type in "yohomies".

For those of you who have played THPS3 already, and gotten as far as or farther than Los Angeles, if you use The Demoness, you can temporarily shrink people in the game. When they jump out of your way as you skate by them, turn around and stare at them. Poof!

Another cheat is for everything. Simply enter in "backdoor" and you will have access to Perfect Rail,(You can't fall off when you grind) First Person Mode, and tons of other amazing features that make the game a little more fun and easier, so you can concentrate on making the goals. (You pause while skating and select Cheats to toggle them on and off.)

This is a wonderful game that will provide hours upon hours of enjoyable entertainment. It is certainly worth the money.

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellentness
    Pros
<Can play over and over again until the skin peels off your little fingers
<Unlike THUG (Tony Hawks UnderGround), this game is about skating (Tony Hawks PRO SKATER! Not Tony Hawks get off your skateboard and throw fireballs at each other)
    Cons
<Some tricks take a flick of the hand to do and others you probably need an extra hand to do
<GLITCHES!!!!GLITCHES!!!! MORE OF THIS GAME IS GLITCHES THAN HALFPIPES!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars The Greatest Game You'll Ever Get ( for $12.95)
If you dont have this game, buy it. Its $13 dollars, and plus, like, ok, you get to play in alot of levels like a cruise ship. Many places to grind and stuff, and plus, there is a level where you can play on the "street" called Los Angelas. I had this game for like 3 years and its good. its DEFINATLEY worth $13. ... Editorial Review

As the style of professional wrestling on TV has changed, so have thevideo games. Gone are the days of simple bouts between two men in tights.Wrestling is now a violent soap opera full of plot twists, romance, andintrigue. WWF Smackdown! Just Bring It accordingly contains as much storyas it does action. The game features more than 40 WWF wrestlers who participatein 70 types of matches. Superstars like "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, The Rock, andKurt Angle are joined by characters like Stephanie McMahon, Fred Durst, andTajiri. Special matches include Falls Count Anywhere, Royal Rumble, Last ManStanding, and TLC (Tables, Ladders, Chairs). Plus there are plenty of secretwrestlers, rings, and matches that can be unlocked, adding to the replay value.

Gamers familiar with the controls of the Smackdown series will feel right athome. The game plays largely the same, with some additional moves and finishers. While having familiar and responsive controls is definitely a good thing, thegraphics should not be too familiar on a next-generation system.Unfortunately, the game's character models haven't progressed much from thePlayStation version. However, the improvements in animations and ring entrancesare fantastic.

The biggest flaw in the game is the commentary by Tazz and Michael Cole. Thereare several instances in which the commentary is disjointed and unnatural, andit often fluctuates severely in volume. This is a shame, as the announcers are abig part of pro wrestling's storytelling. Despite this problem, WWFSmackdown! Just Bring It packs more than enough quality gameplay and varietyto thrill any WWF fan. --Raymond M. Padilla

    Pros:

    • Classic gameplay with some nice refinements
    • Lots of features to unlock
    • Great multiplayer fun
    Cons:
    • Disjointed commentary is distracting and annoying
    • Story mode is limited
    • Unimpressive character models

    4-0 out of 5 stars YEAH,ITS O.K.
I like this game alot, though it was never my favorate Wrestling game because i had WWE SmackDown! Shut your Mouth wich is more fun,but there are a few features that newer Wrestling games don`t have like entrances in2 HardCore matches and starting with a Signature weapon(I.E. Triple H with a sledgeHammer,Foley with a fake Head). Here are just a few of the stars in this game:
    Albert(Now called A-Train)
    Big Show
    "Rabid Wolverine" Chris Benoit
    "Y2J"Chris Jericho
    "The ONE"Billy Gunn
    Crash Holly
    Hardcore Holly
Molly Holly(when she was Face, and with Crash and Hardcore)
    Eddie Guerrero
    Faarooq
    Triple H
    Dean Melenko
Perry Saturn(one of `The Radicalz along with Malenko,Benoit and E.Guerrero)
Bradshaw(Representing the A.P.A. with Faarooq,Now known as John Bradshaw Layfield(JBL))
    ect.
The graphics of the game are alright but the crowd blatently look like pieces of paper watching the match and when u throw an oppenent in the crowd(another feature witch older and newer WWF/WWE games have) they all squash together when you go near them. The sound is repetative when the announcers are broadcasting a match are annoying and hate each otha(Michael Cole and Tazz). The fix up 4 this game is that when entering you are not some one walking down i front of there Titan Tron movie, like they did in SD! 1,u now get 2 see your oppenents enter the ring. The great thing about this game are the Hints like you can unlock Tajiri,Rhyno,Foley,Spike Dudley,Fred Durst(not actually a wrestler in reality but a singer, featured because of Takers famous theme song),Steph McMahon,Shane McMahon,InsurreXtion PPV arena and a new SmackDown! Arena using Rock to beat 15 opponenents in a SK match(4 the SD! arena) OVERALL THIS GAME IS GOOD and on it my favo Wrestler The Rock.
    IF YOU SMELLLLLLLL..WHAT THE ROCK..IS..COOKIN`!!!

2-0 out of 5 stars weiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiird
fruity, fruity, fruity.i just have to show a listpros ;choose from stars like jeff hardy ,stonecold, and the rock.ok graphics.cons;you basically have to kill yourself to get out of the hell in a cell.the specials are jacked up.you cant even here the commentaries.thousands more.i played it with my cousin.if you like wwe,get here comes the pain,raw2,or legends of wrestling 2 because it is better and has a better season mode with storylines.

1-0 out of 5 stars THE WORST OF THE SERIES
WELL, THIS GAME AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A PS2 VERSION OF SMACKDOWN 2. AND THIS GAME AIN'T EVEN BETTER THAN THAT! THERE'S A LOT OF NEWER WWE WRESTLERS TO CHOOSE FROM, BUT THE GAME IS VERY UNINTERESTING, HAS BAD COMMENTARY DURING MATCHES, AND THE CONTROLS ARE STILL BAD. THIS IS THE WORST OF THE SMACKDOWN SERIES AND THIS WAS THE WWE'S PS2 DEBUT. THE GRAPHICS ARE ALSO PRETTY BAD TOO. ... Read more
