3-0 out of 5 stars Great Mobile But it SQUEAKS!!!
This is a great mobile for your child, my son has loved it since day 1 and still loves it at 8 months old.But I have returned 2 ofthem because the motor squeaks and even my sister-in-law in South Africa has it and hers squeaks too!So make sure you try it out first, makes a terrible sound!Would highly recommend but make sure youkeep the receipt!

5-0 out of 5 stars YEY!
I too bought the "nursery themed" mobile for $40, and I wouldnt have minded the price if it were half interesting or if it worked!

My three month old has had this for about a week and LOVES it. Theres a frog, a monkey, and a bird, (I've been seeing him concentrating on the monkey though). The colors are bright and vibrant (a big WOW in the nursery) but it works! IT will play for a good 10-15 minutes, so obviously its not a wind-up. It can play a variety of music (not just Brahms Lulabye!) and it really is entertaining/soothing.

There really isn't much to say about it other than its wonderful! Now why cant they make mothers happy, a matching mobile that works just like this one!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Love this mobile!
I registered for this mobile after reading reviews & have never regretted it.My daughter absolutely loves it still - sometimes when she was really fussy, I would turn it on & by the time it was through with a cycle, she would be asleep (a lifesaver early on!).She still gets excited when she sees them just being above her (the animals on it are cute & colorful). ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Not enough information.
I recently purchased a car seat base, based on the picture on the web site. Babies R Us did not list what it was compatible with. When I received it, on the side of the box it listed the car seats it would fit. Thankfully it was right. Now I'm looking for an infant seat, (bouncer, walker, activity center) something my 3 month old granddaughter can sit in besides her car seat / carrier. None of the items list age or weight limits, different positions if applicable, dimensions or any other specifications. Very disappointing.

5-0 out of 5 stars Long lasting and fun!
We actually received an older, second-hand version of the Kick & Play. I have to say that it was used quite a bit before we got it and we use it all the time now. We have had no problems with it wearing out and it has even been washed several times.

As far as fun, my daughter didn't like it when we first brought her home from the hospital like some of the other posters' babies, because it made her slump. She may have just been a smaller baby. She is two months old now and loves, loves, loves it! She gets so excited and squeals when she's in it. She'll even stop for a minute and wait for the music to stop and then start kicking again to make it start back up. It may be a total coincidence, but it really looks like she knows what she's doing!

5-0 out of 5 stars Kept baby busy for months, still going strong
My son has had this since 4 months old, and is now 13 months. When he started, he could barely make the little striped ball spin, then gradually figured out how to scare himself with the hammer (but kept pulling at it anyway), and now he is getting interested in how the musical buttons work. It has activities appropriate for many levels of development-- he went through periods of boredom with it but as with many other toys, he would reach anew stage of development and then suddenly "get" how to use one of the features.

Some suggestions on how to get more enjoyment out of it:
    1. Make sure you read the instructions on how to hang it correctly from the straps-- it is actually not intuitive.
    2. If your child is too feeble and young to operate some of the switches or knobs with hands, try let them have a shot operating it with their feet!
    3. At one point of development, my son enjoyed it the most when I pulled off the feet it stands on and let him play with them.
    4. I started out with him in my lap, holding the toy in front of him, and demonstrating how it worked.
    5. You don't have to wait until the baby is 9 months old to play with the green side. Even small babies enjoy operating the clicky switches with their feet.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great toy!
I received this activity center at my baby shower for my daughter. It was a total surprise since I hadn't asked for one.I am so glad that I received this center!

My daughter started to play with this at 11 months old.She absolutely loved it.The music was perfect for her - not too loud or too soft.Except for 1 piece that the child is supposed to lift up (too hard to do even for a mommy!), the movable parts are great.

We never put this toy into her crib so I can't say whether or not it's appropriate. We played with this in the mornings as part of her routine. She really enjoyed it & missed it when I finally donated it to another baby.

4-0 out of 5 stars Cute toy
My daughter received this as a gift and loves it.She often plays with it in her crib and every few months, we flip sides so she does not get bored.I wish the side for the older kids had more "activity" type toys rather than mostly music. ... Read more

Tucker the turtle is made from soft lime green and lavendervelour with brightly colored, boldly patterned trims. Each foot rattlesor crinkles when touched. Tucker's shell features bright geometricshapes and his underbelly is an unbreakable mirror perfect forself-discovery. Two plastic rings and a triangular plastic link are attachedto his looped tail. 5-0 out of 5 stars Interesting to Infants
We got this at a baby shower and it was a hit with the hostess's 2 month old.He stared and was so intrigued.
Now, my daughter loves looking in the mirror and 'talking' to herself and to the brightly colored turtle.
The different colors, sounds and textures have kept her interested.
It is easy to attach to the stroller or carrier. (Just not on the carrier's handle since it is big enough to whack her in the face.)
This is a practical toy that I will give out as gifts to friends expecting!

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent First Toy For Baby
A friend gave this to my daughter when she was 3 mos old.At that point, she had just discovered herself in the mirror, so the underside of this turtle (which is a mirror) was great for her to stare at herself. We hung it from the side of her bassinet. Now, at 5 mos old, she doesn't go anywhere without this turtle! She chews on it - it's great for teething - and she loves grabbing the feet, which make crackling noises. This is by far her favorite toy! I have given it to several friends for shower gifts.

4-0 out of 5 stars "Penny Turtle" good for infants
Our toddler, almost two, has completely lost interest in her turtle. She received it at 6 months from her aunt Penny, hence we always called it the Penny Turtle. Our daughter never was able to push the legs or head in, although she would watch me do it for her. When pushed in, it was also compact enough to fit in the bag, and the rings made it handy to attach to strollers. But it only caught her attention for a little less than a year. She prefers furry animals and rag dolls now. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Makes tummy time easier
My baby hated to be on her tummy, but all nurses insist it is critical in baby development.I would put this inchworm under her elbows and prop her up on it and she was much more comfortable.I also wrap it around her head as a head rest in her car seat. It's her most-used toy.She loves the colors and sounds it makes.

3-0 out of 5 stars my son isn't very interested
My son has had this toy since he was 3 months old and has never been very interested in it.( he is now 9 months) You can barely hear the music it plays. That is the only feature I really don't like about this toy.

3-0 out of 5 stars She's just not interested!
This is a cute toy, but our 6 month old has yet to be interested in it.Its large size makes it difficult to hold for small babies.I know it's gotten many good reviews, so I'll keep trying... just know that very young babies may not get much use out of it! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome for new babies
This is one of the first toys my baby "played" with.I set it up next to the changing table and she loves looking at herself in the mirror. She doesn't fuss at all when I change her she is so busy "playing" with the baby in the mirror. We use it a lot for tummy time and floor time also. She ignores all her toys and just stares at the mirror, and spins the ball.It doesn't have lights and music but for us that is a good thing, she gets overstimulated so easily. I would definately recommend this toy to friends.

4-0 out of 5 stars My daughter loves it!
Right now I have this mirror in her crib. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the ties that tie it to the crib are really annoying... velcro would be better. My daughter loves the spinning ball and bats at her reflection in the mirror. It's a great toy for the crib and I'm sure she'll continue to enjoy it outside the crib.

5-0 out of 5 stars Buy this mat!
My son is 14 weeks and has been playing on this mat since he was about 4 weeks old.Now he can bat at the toys and he kicks the arches which makes the music and lights go on.He gets so excited when he sees the lights and hears the music.I hestitated about registering for this mat, but I'm so glad we got it.It's his favorite toy!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great product
This mat helps me have at least 10 minutes a day - hands free! We got it when my daughter was 2 mos old and now at a little over 3 mos, she still loves it. She likes the sounds, and I'm enjoying watching her grow as she learns how to grasp the toys hanging from it.

The motion sensor is a little strange sometimes, though - sometimes she'll swat at the hanging bird and it visibly rocks the bars, and the music and lights won't activate, while my dog's tail lightly hits the bars and it's off to the races...

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for about 7 months of fun and learning.
My daughter got this for her "shower" and she absolutely loved it.She would lie mesmerized by the musical star and also loved playing with, reaching for, grabbing, and eventually even taking off all the things that hang from the various loops. It's got great colors and shapes and overall is just terrific. This is a great great item - one of the best we've found.

At about 7-8 months, the thrill wore off.Now she crawls over/through it and moves on.

5-0 out of 5 stars BUGS!Couldn't live without them
We put these bugs on our infant seat a few weeks after our daughter was born. She is now 3 months old and just loves these bugs!It keeps her so occupied in the stroller. She can't really see the bugs when she is in the car being that the handle is pushed back. When these bugs are in her sight she just stares at them. The one bug that you pull down and then it goes bzzzzzzzzzzz and back up we have had some problems with, but I would buy these again.I have told my friends about Bugs on Board. They need to get them and I have seen these bugs everywhere!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great bugs!
My son is 12 weeks old and we love these bugs! They are very adorable and very safe.

We have them attatched to his carrier all the time. He LOVES staring at them and if we put the carrier in a cart or on a table and we dangle them over him, he swats at them and giggles! They are soft and brightly colored, perfect for a little baby. There are velcro straps around them so it can attatch to anything, like the bar on our playard, carriers, changing table, dangling them over him, playmats, and even on his swing!

I dont think that these bugs are scary at all, as another reviewer mentioned. I think they are adorable and friendly. I have bought 2 more sets so we always have em' around... The only bugs I have ever loved!

5-0 out of 5 stars great infant seat toy
My daughter loves her bugs on board. We bought them when she was born and have watched her develop with her bugs on board. When she was 0-3 months, she would stare at them passively. The high contrast and bright colors were good for her to focus as her eye's developed.Starting at about 4 months she developed the motor skills to hit and grab at the bugs on board.

If you have a travel system, they are always with the car seat whether you're at home, in the car, in the stoller or even on an airplane. We traveled to three countries and bugs on board was attached to her infant seat the whole time. While this is true for most infant car seat toys, bugs on board is small and soft so that you don't have to be concerned baby hitting hard plastic when taking baby out of the car seat, putting her in the car seat or in a car accident. ... Editorial Review

The pyramid-shaped Grip and Grab Rattle is made of sturdy, safety-tested plastic tubes in bright colors that are connected by clear plastic spheres. Each sphere contains a red bead, smaller beads move freely through the tubes when the rattle is shaken. So what's the big deal? You'll have to ask a baby. For some reason, they love this thing--won't put it down. They'll go to sleep to the sound of it being gently shaken in front of them, or will miraculously be distracted from the car-seat fussies. (Mini van dealers should include the Grip and Grab as a standard feature).

This Lamaze rattle also provides learning opportunities for babies, almost from birth. The tubes are about the diameter of an adult finger--perfect for grabbing with tiny hands, and later, for chomping with tiny gums and teeth. Early lessons in cause and effect and hand- eye coordination are taught when baby moves and the rattle shakes. Included in the packaging is a booklet about infant development and creative ideas on how to use the toy, as well as a U.S. lifetime warranty. Winner of several national awards, including a National Parenting Center Seal of Approval and a National Parenting Publications Honors Award. --Katherine Ferguson ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Just Amazing
I have 2 daughters. One 3 and the other 5 months and both of them were and are captivated by this contraption. The 5 month old loves the sound the beads make and can literally watch them for an hour. I highly reccomend this toy to any first time mother or expecting mom. Put it on your List!!!!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars It's all about the noise!
Who cares if this toy encourages visual development or independent play? As far as my baby is concerned this toy Makes Noise. Lots of it. In fact, I think that if she'd learned the war-cry of the Rohirrim, she'd be doing that to accompany the violent shaking she gives the rattle. Raaaaarhhhhh. It's a bit like a one-six-month-old Maurauding Horde and has been for weeks. This rattle is the business. And why? Because It's Louder than all the other (wussy) rattles. Raaaarhhhh! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars More attractive for adults than kids
These blocks are soft, colourful, with fun flaps and interesting pictures- just the sort of toy every parent thinks their kid would want. So, I bought these blocks when my daughter was 6 months old (she's 2.5 now) and like the previous reviewer's child, she never really liked payed them more than a moments attention.I thought they might be more of a hit with my son (who is now 7 months old), but so far they've been a flop too. It's a shame as before I had kids I bought them for all my friends with babies thinking they'd be great toys.

1-0 out of 5 stars Not much fun!
My boss got these for our daughter when she was born.I was so excited and loved them b/c they were soft, colorful and had different tectures and noises. However, my daughter never bothered with them no matter how much I played with them with her. She'd push my hand aside and try to do other things. They just became annoying because they were always on the floor and in the way (she'd toss them aside as she'd dig through her toy bin looking for things to play with).Even at 15 months, I've pulled them back out and tried to show her how to stack them etc.She wants nothing to do with them. She'd rather play with and stack my plastic containers and pots and pans.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great toy for "grabbers".
We received this set as a Christmas gift 2004 for our 5 month- old twins. As each baby has a different developmental growth, they both love them in different ways.

They are easy to grab & hold on to.Great for one that is teething and great for the other that likes to squeeze everything in sight.

Both babies love them during tummy time and sitting up time- they aren't to the "stacking" stage, but love them just the same.

    Editorial Review

A full set of developmental toys that will delight and grow with children from birth to their first year are integrated into this gift set by Sassy Toys. Newborns will reflexively grasp the Mini Polka Dot Rattle but won't let go, captivated by the colors they see. It has a classic baby rattle shape with plastic rings and a nubbed handle for tactile stimulation. An innovation in rattle design, the Pogo rattle is atom-shaped. It has lots of places to hold and is more than a tool for distracting a cranky baby, it's also a teether. Smiley Face Rattle adds more interactivity with a push-button squeak nose, crazy eyes, and a mirror on its backside for when self-awareness dawns. Winner of the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Platinum Award for best toy, Fascination Station has so much to focus on: four spinning delights of sight, feel, and sound mounted on a base that can be hand-held or stand on its own. Each of these toys has won numerous parent association and industry awards for age-appropriate design features and exceptional quality and safety. (Birth to 12 months) --Lynne Sampson ... Read more

I love the colors that bare used for these toys. They call so much attention to my little one and the best part of it all is that with just a few strokes w/ a clorox wipe, they are all clean again.

1-0 out of 5 stars Disappointed with the shipping of toys
I think these toys are great and would have been satisfied if I bought these for my own 3 month old son. However these were for a gift and they were shipped NOT in their original packages but just thrown in a shipping box loose with ablack & white photocopied paper describing each toy. I though it looked horrible! And to give this to someone for a baby shower gift looks cheap! They should have been in the original packages at least!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great First Toys!
At 3 months, my son is just starting to notice toys and the Fascination Station has been one of the first toys he has started playing with. The toy suctions to a table or high chair and has a wheel much like a ferris wheel that has several different spinning and rattling parts. I read other reviews about the suction cup not sticking well, or the toy coming out of it's base.We have not had that problem - and this toy was a hand-me-down from a friend whose now 2 year old played with it as well.We now bring it with us when we go out to dinner and it entertains and distracts my son(and sometimes my husband as well!). It is hard to find toys to bring to resteraunts to entertain a small child that pack easily and aren't too noisy so as to distract other diners.

The Smiley face rattle is also great. My son is just starting to notice himself in the mirror and really enjoys the mirror on the back of the rattle. The squeaky noise is fun too.I've been anxiously waiting for him to start playing with toys and it is now just as much fun for me to interact with him using this toy.

I find these toys durable, brightly colored and they really hold an infant's interest. These toys have been a must have in our family and I've recommended them to a couple of friends who are expecting and have already added these to their baby registry!

We currently have the Eddie Bauer Play pen but the weight and set up hindered us from actually traveling with it, so we left it at Grandma's house for use. When we received the PNP Sport it was so light weight and set up was a breeze. The rounded shape creates a less confining feeling vs. standard rectangular play yards. The canopy was an A+.The two things that would make this "PERFECT": 1) Thicker floor padding (We have tile throughout our home and falls can be very bumpy.) 2) Side flaps that can be rolled up on the sides (When the sun hits it at an angle the canopy is not sufficient enough)Comparatively, this is a great addition to any family!

5-0 out of 5 stars Our children are... felines!
We bought this for our two indoor cats so that they could be outside with us.

They love it and we are very pleased that they can be outside but safely tucked away in their new playpen.

It has stopped the wining and scratching of the screen door every time we are in the pool.

5-0 out of 5 stars A great playpen for on the road!
Because the PnP Sport is under 11 lbs. and it's so compact, it's a great piece to travel with.I didn't dare use a hotel crib on our last trip to Orlando, and this playpen worked great.Sure there is no padding on the bottom, but with twins under 1 yr. that's not something they should have anyway. Now, my new little walkers use the Sport to hold onto and walk around.I also love the canopy, and the ease of putting the whole thing together can't be beat! The twins love going in and out of the door, too.

It was one of the best purchases I made! You won't be disappointed! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars My 5 month old loves this toy!!!
MY five month old loves this toy. she loves the sounds and all the different choices of music. i gave it four start just because it doesnt twist very easily. other than that it is a wonderful toy for educational and entertaining part of it. i can can cook a whole meal or even just for a small break its wonderful!

3-0 out of 5 stars My 2 year old loves it more than my baby
We purchased the Intellitrainer item and the Fisher Price Jumperoo the same day. I was so excited to see him play, but, he could barely touch the floor. You cannot adjust the height or anything. So I put a pillow under it so he could have some extra support (My baby is 6 months). He played with the bell and the other hanging toys but that was it. He seemed bored. My Two year old really loved it. He stood by its side all the time and plays with it every day, he even tried to get inside the seat!!!. On the other hand I would recommend 100% the Jumperoo!!! Lots and lots of fun!!! Anyways, I'm going to give it some time to see if he finally gets interested. One thing I'm sure of: It's entertaining for toddlers too. I'm just frustrated that he can't play with it still and it was so pricey!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great fun for my little one!
I bought this for my daughter when she was about five months old.She just loves it.It is educational, musical; it has everything. She is also able to practice walking a few steps and spinning around since this is both a stationary toy and one that allows them to move, all while remaining safe in one place. The Intellitainer has several different height adjustments within the seat which allows her to keep playing as she grows taller. I would definitely purchase this again! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars 21 month old loves it
My Daughter recieved this book for her first birthday and she still loves it. It's actually VERY sturdy for being a lift the flap book the flaps are sealed across the entire top or bottom of the page in about a half inch strip and are made out of a heavy cardstock type paper not quite board thick but still rather thick.

We let her play with all her books whenever she wants even if it means possibly eventually destroying them and this book has stood up very very well. It's over ten months old and has lost only ONE flap and only very recently. She still loves it regardless.

The drawings are cute the words are big and clear (we're starting to try to get her to follow along with the words we say by pointing them out). It's a bit short, but right now it doesn't seem to matter she'll read it twice through if she wants more and sometimes it's just the right length.

5-0 out of 5 stars Daughter's Favorite Toy
These books by Karen Katz are wonderful. My daughter recevied these books from my mother when she was 8 months, she is now 11 months and i must tell you that this book remains her favorite thing to play with. She kisses all the babies in the book. My mother actually purchased Karen Katz's books as a set it came with Where Is Baby's Mommy?, Where Is Baby's Bellybutton, and Toes, Ears, and Nose. My daughter just loves lifting the flaps and has learned where her tongue, nose, eyes, ears, etc... are thanks to these great books! I assure you that your child will just love this book!

    5-0 out of 5 stars Laura's Mom
We love the Karen Katz books. This is my favorite as we ask the question and then of course, tickle, roll over, play, and laugh. The kids love to hear the baby laugh and laugh. It's pretty cute because then they want me to do it to them. It's a fun affair for the whole family. If you don't have her books, you're missing out on bonding with just about everyone in the family, even Dad.Another favorite book is one that helps keep these kiddos in line and makes family life seem calmer, Mommy,CEO. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars 1-year-old is constantly playing with this ball
I bought this set for my son when he was about 5 months old and I have been thrilled at how he has enjoyed it as he has passed from stage to stage.

At first, with limited mobility, he liked holding it or looking at the bright colors. Once he was crawling, he started batting it across the room with his hand, then chasing it excitedly. Now that he is starting to throw things, I am glad that this soft, plush ball is a favorite toy, because it can safely be thrown without hurting anything (or anyone).

The ball is soft and light, making it easy to grab and lift with one hand. It has a quiet bell inside which is fun for him but not annoying to me.

Admittedly, he has largely ignored the cube, but this set was well worth the very affordable price for the ball alone. It has given our son hours upon hours of enjoyment. When he comes into his playroom, it's often the first thing he looks for. It's nice knowing that anytime he's getting cranky, I can just pull out the ball and he'll be smiling and playing.

Sometimes the simple toys are the ones they love best. That's certainly been the case for our boy!

5-0 out of 5 stars Loves to chase it around
My baby who is now 8 months has always loved this set, especially the ball! When he was younger he would grasp it between his legs! Now that he is older and crawling, he LOVES to chase it all around the house! He plays with this toy more than any of the others! I like how it is soft and rolls so easily.

3-0 out of 5 stars Stimulating color for small babies - playful for toddlers!
As a new mother, I thought this ball and cube set was adorable. The recommended age was 3mos+, so I imagined it being perfect for my 3 month old daughter and expected her to actually *play* with it.Consequently, I was very dissapointed when all she did was clutch the toys and took no interest when I rolled the ball and cube towards her.At around 6 mos, I gave up on her liking them and I packed them away for the next baby only to pull them out a few weeks ago. Now, at 18 Months of age, she is nuts about them!Throwing them into the air and bouncing the soft colorful ball across the floor to me.I was amazed at her interest and came back here to check on the review I had written months ago... when I discovered the age span was 3mos - 2 years.I wish I had known that last year!To sum up, if I had known then what I know now, I would buy this set again - only I wouldn't expect to see her actually playing with the ball and cube til she was older.I guess the only advice I can pass along is, the recommended age seems to be set very young and don't worry if your baby is really not interested... because someday, he or she will be. :) ... Editorial Review

When it comes to musical instruments, the drum is arguably one of theeasiest to play: just give it a smack. Fortunately, LeapFrog has created a drumthat's sure to provide ongoing delight. It's an electronic instrument with fourdifferent settings. When set to "ABC," each pat of the drum displays a letter onthe drum's top while a friendly voice says the letter out loud. The letters aresequential, so the drummer learns the alphabet. The "123" option works in asimilar way. There are also options for musical notes and a traditional drumsound. An off control and two volume settings will be welcomed by parents whoare sure to hear this drum being played with repeatedly. If the young drummerpauses for a while, the friendly voice plays a little song or asks to be playedwith again. --John Moe ... Read more

My son enjoys this drum very much.As soon as he got it he was amazed by the sound music and lights. It is easy for them to understand. It is a perfect gift or just to get to keep the little one busy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best purchase I've made for our son!!!
I got this for my son when he was 6 months old.At first he would just stare at the flashing lights while I hit the drum.As time went on, he would hit the drum himelf, and he would smile as if he was proud of what he had done.Months went by, and now he drags that toy everywhere. He loves to change the tunes and music styles constantly. And now, at 23 months, he likes to start up the drum, then play with some other toys. However, when he hears that the drum is about to shut off, he'll stop what he's doing, run over and hit the drum again, just to keep it going. The drum is VERY durble!!!Drop it, bang it on a table, whatever! And the battery power lasts longer then any other toy he has.He has even discovered different ways to "hit the drum".For example, he'll turn it on and place it on one end of the coffee table, then he'll start hitting the other end of the table and that vibration alone makes the drum keep working.I have a feeling that he will never tire of his drum, and that's ok by me.I'm so pleased that he took a simple toy, learned the basics, then was able to understand the toy enough to control which setting he liked best, and so forth.I think this toy is a perfect gift for a baby shower or a 1 year olds party.Another great thing is that the drum is pretty small and light enough for a baby to lift, hit, and tote around the room.A+ toy!!! ... 4-0 out of 5 stars My Son Loves Most of This Toy
My son, who is 17 months old now, has owned this since he was 10 months, he picked it out at the store. He has played with it at least every other day for the last 7 months. But he doesn't play with the "rings" he plays with the base and the balls. He loves to put the balls in the top and hear the music, then they roll out of the front where he can pull open the door and they roll out. He has never liked the "rings", except to wear them on his feet and arms.

5-0 out of 5 stars Instant hit with my daughter!
I heard about this toy from a parenting magazine review... and to tell you the truth was a bit sceptical about all the raving. But, when I saw it in a store, I was sold. It soft and colorful. The music is not too loud. The balls and rings are a perfect size for little hands to grab.

My 7 month daughter loved it the moment she saw it. There are so many ways she can play with it. And the toy will definitely grow with her. I thought it was so good, I am going to uy another one for my friend's baby.

5-0 out of 5 stars Therapists love it!

1-0 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for
We bought this for our daughter when she was a year old. This is not something I would recommend for a child who is still learning to walk- here's why:a quick re-enactment... Daughter takes lid off toy, gets up to practice her walking skills, falls on the box part of toy and gets swollen lip.The shapes should be just a tiny bit smaller, sometimes if they're at a slight angle it seems they don't want to fit, very frustrating for a small child who is actually trying to put the right shape in the right hole, but it won't fit.We ended up buying a better made sorting toy for about $30 and have had no complaints.

    4-0 out of 5 stars a staple
We started playing with this toy at around 7-8 mos.The thing I like most about it is that we have another Fisher-Price shape sorter and the shapes are interchangeable so instead of only 12 shapes we have double that!Kate likes banging the blocks together, dumping the blocks, talking into the container, etc. It's not glamourous but a good basic toy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great sturdy, easy to clean, fun toy

I bought this block sorter when when our daughter was 7 months old. She couldn't yet understand how the shapes fit into the lid so we just kept the lid off and she'd play with the blocks and the bucket itself.

Our daughter loves to chew on the bucket and puts her face into it and babbles. She likes the sound of it.She chews on the blocks and likes to bang them together. She also loves to play with the lid.The set comes with 12 blocks in red, blue and green circles, squares, triangles and stars). Our daughter can easily pick up the blocks and throw them around.

I really like that the blocks clean easily with soap and water.I can throw the entire lot into the sink and not worry about tiny parts or batteries.I can see that our daughter will enjoy this toy for a LONG time to come. ... Read more

    5-0 out of 5 stars A favorite!
My 10 month old has always loved this Giraffe. She likes to explore it, so it falling over is not a problem. She pokes her fingers in the large square holes on the sides, and like to push the button that plays the music. She also loves to grab the handle on top. Of course, she likes the blocks tumbling down too. Besides play a few musical notes, it doesn't do much, but she just loves it!

2-0 out of 5 stars Tumbling is right
I bought this Giraffe for my 8 month old who liked to take things out and was beginning to put things into containers.Well, the Giraffe falls down before he gets a chance to put the blocks into its mouth--someone has to sit next to him and hold the giraffe steady. However he loves playing with the blocks and throws them into a plain sand bucket.Skip the giraffe and just get the blocks.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not impressed
This toy is cute, but that's about it.I expected the blocks to actually "tumble" down the giraffe, perhaps in a zig-zag fashion. But they don't; they just "drop" straight to the bottom. There's a button at the bottom that plays a cute little tune when the block hits the bottom, but that's all this toy does. I guess I just expected more from it. We returned it. As a side note, we also got the Peek-a-Blocks Train and both my girls LOVE it! Costs a little more than the giraffe, but is worth it! ... Read more

    Editorial Review

There's lots to see, hear, and do with this toy that willfoster the developmental skills of a toddler. When little ones push oneof the five plastic balls through the hole at the top of this tower, lights flash and music plays. From there the ball travels down a spiralpath all the way to the bottom--unless your toddler chooses to redirectit with the dial on the side of the ramp. Some babies will simply enjoywatching the ball swirl down the ramp. But as babies get a bitolder, they will also be able to observe and anticipate the actionof the balls and realize that their actions have an effect onwhere the balls go. How cool is that? For a toddler, very cool! Onedrawback to this toy is that it probably isn't sturdy enough or heavyenough for babies or toddlers to use it to pull themselves from asitting to a standing position, though the "Pull-up" portion of thename implies that's possible. There's plenty more to do with this toy,so that is only a minor consideration. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great visually; Terrible in safety
My daughter, who is 10 months, really likes this toy for the sights and sounds and the balls. However, she has fallen over WAY too many times. When she tries to pull herself up, she uses it to help her and sometimes it tips over. Or when she's already up, she'll lean her weight on it and it will move forward away from her.

I don't believe the base is sturdy enough!

3-0 out of 5 stars Mixed feelings about this toy.
My son loved this toy from the time he had it.He got it for his first birthday, and he is now 3 & 1/2 and still looks for this toy to play with.My problem with it, is that the top red ring never stays on.It's constantly falling off, and I am so sick and tired of putting it back together every five minutes!I finally hid it in the basement, even though my son loves it so much.I have twin infants at home and just do not have the time to keep putting this back together!I do think it would easily tip over on a child using it to "pull up".Although, my son was already walking by the time he got this toy, and so he didn't use it in that fashion.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun toy for baby
I thought this was great toy for my twin girls. It is interactive and it holds their attention for quite awhile. My only "beef"with this toy is that it can be prone to tipping over. My girls haven't had any spills as of yet (knock on wood) but I can see where there is potential for a few. I think this toy will be a favorite for awhile with them and if anything the plastic balls that come with it are certainly entertaining for them. ... Read more
