4-0 out of 5 stars Great for hand Eye Coordination
My son can sit and play with this for hours. Had no problems with the latch...nothing has broken in a year

1-0 out of 5 stars Breaks in a day!!!
My son got the Home Depot Shop Vac and this Home Depot Tool Box for his birthday. The Shop Vac broke the first day and we were going to exchange it for the same thing, but then the Home Depot Tool Box broke the next day!It was then apparent that these toys are really poorly made.I can't beleive these reviews! Everyone is saying it breaks and yet they are still giving it high marks. My son is 3 and has never broken a toy in his life and both Home Depot toys broke in the first two days!I expect better than that from a toy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Home Depot tool box
My son loves this toy. That is why I'm buying him a new one even though his first one started breaking the second day he had it. I wish someone made a toy just like this but a durable, well-made version. I'd be happy to spend alot of money on one that would last rather than re-buying this disposable version every couple of months when my son is left with nothing but broken plastic bits. ... Toy

    Editorial Review

Budding carpenters will find all they need to tackle those pretend backyard or playroom building projects, from make-believe birdhouses to imaginary skyscrapers, in this Workman's Flexible Light set.Realistically styled and sporting bright Home Depot orange, the six-piece set includes a power drill, a miniature chain saw, a wrench and screwdriver set, and a flexible light that really works, along with a pair of adjustable work goggles for eye protection. Both the chain saw and the drill are equipped with pull cords that produce buzzing and drilling sounds, adding a little extra fun and excitement to the work site. The flexible light requires two C batteries for operation (not included). --Chris Burns ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Children love it but screwdriver broke withnin 20 min
My kids got 2 of these as a gift from their memaw, they love the toys but within the first 20 min the cord broke out of one the screwdrivers. Although i must say my sons favorite is the chainsaw and flashlight so they haventreally wanted the one screwdriver thats not broken. The others have been working great.

5-0 out of 5 stars Home Depot Tools
My 4 Year old grandson actually found these toys while looking at the outlet section and ran and got his grandpa to see what he found. My grandson wanted them so he could help Papa work on projects. We are very pleased with them. Even after lots of play they still are like new. Every adult and teenager who sees the chain saw has to pick it up and play with it. They come very well wrapped and would make an excellent gift that looks very expensive!

3-0 out of 5 stars Not very durable
We bought this for our son at Christmas. The flexible light quit working that day. That was my son's favorite out of the set.It was very disappointing. ... Read more

    5-0 out of 5 stars Non-stop fun!
I bought this for my nephew who is 2-1/2 and he just loves it!It's his favorite toy and has kept him engaged non-stop for the past 3 months and running. He takes the toys with him everywhere and even to bed each night and they're also the first thing he asks for in the morning.Because there are so many different tools, he never gets bored and because they look and sound real (some even work), he tries to figure out how things work and to fix things with them.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Must Have For Every 'Bob The Builder' Fan!
This set is great! My 2-1/2 year old nephew has not stopped playing with it since Christmas morning. The only time he pays attention to the other toys he received is when he's 'fixing' them. You could not possibly ask for more out of a $20.00 tool set. I would make two recommendations if you buy this: 1)Go to your local K-Mart, Target, Walmart, whatever and pick up an inexpensive (but real) plastic tool box to store all the stuff in (I got one for $5.00) and 2) you absolutly want to take everything out of the packaging and get the batteries installed before presenting as a gift. The package is sealed like Fort Knox and the power tools all require a screwdriver to install the batteries.

4-0 out of 5 stars needs a tool box
My son received this for his 4th birthday and loves it, especially the mechanical tools. One thing missing with this 42-set is the tool box.We have other home depot tool but now will need a tool box big enough for everything. ... Read more

Imaginext: Battle Castle With Bonus Mini Dungeon
Average Customer Review: 4.0 out of 5 stars
    Toy

US | Canada | United Kingdom | Germany | France

    Editorial Review

With trumpets blaring and flags waving, the defenders of this well-fortified Battle Castle are ready to take on anyone foolish enough to attack. Styled after a medieval castle, this snap-together playset allows children to take on the role of either the "good" knights who defend the castle's lofty turrets and battlements, or the "enemy" knights who try to penetrate its fortified defenses. The castle comes with four different knight figures and a range of weapons that include swords, spears, helmets, and axes, along with a working catapult and crossbow. The castle entrance is equipped with electronic sound effects and glowing torches, and the castle's snap-together design allows it to be set up in a nearly endless variety of ways. As a result, the castle may not be as stable as other structures, but it offers more play options by allowing you to change its configuration as often as you like. The Battle Castle is part of the Fisher-Price Imaginext line, which means that all of the included pieces are compatible with other Imaginext toys, so you can keep adding figures, creatures, and structures to the playset. Illustrated instructions for assembly are included. --Chris Burns ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Falls Apart Constantly
This item is horrible. It falls apart constantly. We tried hot gluing and superglue, however, NOTHING works. Even our 4-1/2 YR son has told us to throw this out he is so frustrated. The tower on this item is so high it continuously falls off.

Part of appeal was you can take Imaginext items &reconfigure them, great concept. However, no matter how you configure them, they ALL fall apart.

During assembly notice they do not "click" as you would expect. Pieces never lock together, even with the bottom "base" pieces.

We resorted to putting all the Imaginext on a table for him to play, however, flat surface, bumpy surface, any surface, it falls apart.

When a 4-1/2 YR wants you to throw out his toys, somethings wrong!

5-0 out of 5 stars AWESOME!!!!!
My child has had this castle for 1 year, and still plays with it like its brand new.He loves being able to make different castles and he shares the parts with his friends to they all can make a castle and play together. We have 2 big sets and he is getting more for his birthday.
    Highly recommended!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic activity for kids and parents together
These are excellent toys IF you are willing to build them repeatedly for children under age 8. My older son (5.5 yrs) knows how to put pieces together, but his hands are too small to do the required snapping. However, I love these toys, too, so I'm glad to help. We have almost all the medieval series pieces now, and my sons play with them every day. They are the most used toys in our house, and the pieces can be put together in countless different ways. My only complaint: there have been NO female action figures until recently, and there's still only one (the snake queen). ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A great toy!
This toy is absolutely great! You can build anything you want with it and it looks cool, too! The whole Gibbet in the Tree thing is a nice touch, and if you get enough goblins you can imprison a knight and have his fellows attack it to win him back! It's not educational, but should toys be that way? It doesn't matter to me!

5-0 out of 5 stars Wow!Sturdy fun for all ages!
I purchased this toy for my 4-yr old son, who is beginning to show a lot of interest in castles and knights. We set it up together, using the included booklet as a guide (the booklet shows several different ways the pieces can be assembled).Right away I was very impressed by how sturdy the pieces are. They've been able to take a beating from my two sons and still look great and fit together nicely.Even my youngest, at 1 1/2 yrs, loves to play with the pieces. We keep them all in a small plastic container and it's the one toy that my youngest son wants to play with every day!

I don't feel it holds great educational value other than allowing the child to use his imagination when building and re-building his dungeon (which is certainly a benefit when you look at all the other uni-dimensional toys available!). And the fact that these can be used with other Imaginext pieces is wonderful - we'll definitely be getting more of these for birthdays and holidays!

5-0 out of 5 stars Some clarification and raves
Another reviewer points the "weird low tan rocks don't mesh with other sets. The engineering of all imaginext is mind boggling.

They do, and with 100% cool factor. You have to put a floor panel and stack it with any other half height piece, and it becomes the same as a full height piece.

Imaginext is the greatest value around.Huge castles. My 3 year old cant assemble any major structure himself, but directs me to, and during the next 45 minutes, attackers disassemble it.We have all the pieces, and are relieved the new Medieval Forest line is now out. ... Read more

    Imaginext: Wizard's Tower
Average Customer Review: 5.0 out of 5 stars
    Toy
    list price: $24.99
US | Canada | United Kingdom | Germany | France

    Editorial Review

It’s called a Wizard’s Tower, but one of the great things about this set is that you needn’t be restricted to building a tower: the modular walls and floors let you construct any number of structures, encouraging the imaginations of budding young architects. The figures and accessories--including a wizard, his little goblin helper, a telescope, a cauldron, and a crystal ball--are uniformly excellent. My favorite features are the snap-on ivy and the secret chamber at the tower’s base. The pieces have a satisfying chunky heftiness (great for small and medium-sized fingers), and snap together easily but tightly. --David Stoesz ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Long live imagination!
My 6 year old son got the whole castle set for Christmas last year.He loves this set.He can spend hours making up different scenarios for these little guys.It is great that they all fit together.Since he has several different sets, he can interchange parts. He can make several different locations or one big castle. We will be moving on to the other sections of Imaginext toys soon.

There are a lot of small pieces that sometimes don't get seen nor picked up.If your child is like mine, you might be stepping on a few of these in the dark on your way to the bath room.It is also somewhat difficult for my son to construct on his own.I do frequently change the layout of his castles. And while I love playing with my son, I would also like for him to be able to manage this on his own.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Castle Play
My 4 year old son really enjoys the flexibility of this set. Though I have to help him change it around because it is still a bit difficult for him to put together. It gets a lot more play time than the traditional castle set he received shortly before this one.

5-0 out of 5 stars [other retailers] are a much better deal

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent toy!
This was by far one of the best toys I have bought for my 4 year old son. He plays for hours with it. Before I bought the Pyramid, I bought the battle castle by Imaginext which is equally as much fun but it doesn't stay together well. This however, is a very sturdy toy. My son especially loves the little cage on the side that pulls out and magically makes the people dissapear. This is definitely a toy to build a childs imagination. I give it thumbs up and 5 stars!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Love these toys!
My little boy and girl love all these great adventures toys! The people are a great size, and the kids play with them everywhere, not just with the pyramid (even in the bath tub). My little boy loves the disappearing trick that it does and shows all his little friends. He probably plays with this particular one the least but he also has the castle, the pirate ship, and the Robin Hood tree house...there are only so many hours in the day!

5-0 out of 5 stars My 6 year old son loves his Pyramid Playset
My son first saw this toy nine months ago, he loved it, and said that he would be glad to have it for his birthday. His birthday was not for another 9 months, usually he changes his mind closer to his birthday, but I thought that I would buy it anyway and tuck it away in a closet.Boy am I glad I did!His birthday was last week, and when he got it, he was thrilled.Him and his friends, all 5 and 6 year old boys, have had a blast with this toy.At one point they had it set up on the floor along with the magic castle and the Robin hood sherwood forest and played for more than two hours! His 7 1/2 year old sister has even enjoyed playing Pyramid with him.As for all the people dissapointed with the fact that it doesn't light up or have sound, my comment would be, what ever happened to the child making the sounds, and their imagination making the lights, what about not having to replace batteries, everything doesn't have to light up to be a great toy.As for educational value- what a wonderful tool to use in teaching them about ancient egypt, and archeology, and all sorts of different history aspects.Fisher Price has done it again- created a wonderful toy to help enhance
    childhood. ... Read more
