Great toy, but it eats batteries & the gears can wear out
I love this toy. Plain and simple. I love the different sounds, the "waves" that shine on the ceiling and the fact that it has a volume control (more toy manufacturers should take that hint). My 2nd son looks towards it every time we put him in his crib as if to say, "Hey Mommy & Daddy, are you going to turn on my fishies?" My first son loved this as well. I do wish that it stayed on a little longer and that it didn't eat batteries so quickly. We have owned the Peaceful Planet Aquarium since December 2000, and used it for my first son for about 4 months. After he outgrew it, we stored it back in the box until my second son was born in 2002. These days, the fishies don't want to spin around, as the gear to spin them seems to not be catching properly. My husband gives it a good whack, which usually gets it going, but I hate doing that. The waves still work, as does the sound, but without the spinning of the fishies, well, it kind of kills the charm. Overall, a great product and a neat idea for little ones.

A soothing nightlight for infants
Its a soothing toy that can put anyone at ease, It's durability is remarkable since our has taken a few falls since the little ones grew and still works like new. Only problem is it eats batteries extremely quickly!

Wonderful
This simple toy is wonderful.My baby just loves to turn it on and watch the fish go around.He conks right out.This toy has several sounds including 2 lullabyes, white noise bubbles, or ocean sounds.You can even turn off the sound.There is a volume control too.It also has multiple settings for the lights.You can even turn off the lights and just play the music.It turns off automatically after a few minutes too.I set it differently to keep it fresh and interesting for my baby.We really like this toy.

One negative--it takes 4 C batteries.After 5 months, I had to replace the batteries twice.We don't even use it every day. ... Read more

Still Fun
I bought this train about a year ago, and both my girls still play with it.

Love it!
My youngest daughter just received this toy for her 2nd b-day and she loves it! Not only has she had a great time with it but my 4 1/2 yr old daughter AND I love it too! It does so many different fun things!

fun toy
I purchased this train for my then 1.5 year old daughter for christmas.She loved it and she's now three and still plays with it.It's great because there is no hassle with any tracks and it can move straight or in circles.Its plays fun music when it stops and my daughter yells everybody off it's time for the circus.Then she loads them all back on after the performance and is off again.It has no problem moving on carpet or regular flooring.Great toy - no problems here! ... don't bother !
this toy stinks! Looks great in the box, sounds great in the box.....then its all down hill. The volume decreases significantly once the toy is removed from the package.It is great that this safety feature is there to protect our children but the toy is pratically silent...Don't mean to sound like oscar the grouch, but this toy was a waste of money. Sorry Elmo!

You can hardly hear this toy!
My son and neice both love Elmo...and phones, so I was excited when I came across this toy.I tried it in the box and it sounded great, so I bought 2 right away.Once you get it home and take it out of the box however, it is a different story.It is so quiet and muffled you can't really understand what is being said or the music playing.At first I thought I had a defective phone, but the one I gave my neice was the same way.The only good thing about it is the picture of Elmo and you can recognize the Elmo's World song enough to know what it is, but that is it.I wouldn't have wasted the money had I known what poor quality the sound is.

Terrible tub toy, but enjoyed outside tub...
This toy is terrible for the tub. The base floats, but that is it.The characters do not float.Also, the characters have a small hole in the bottom and fill up with water - impossible to get all the water out and impossible to dry out.I do not want to know what will grow in there over time.The Big Bird figure does not have the hole - not sure why the others would.

My daughter loves the toy because of the characters, but usually does not play with it while in the tub.Look elsewhere for tub toys.

Not that spectacular.....
We received this for our 17 month old triplets for Christmas.They do already have several rubber ducks, fish, boats, etc for the tub.They really do not play with this at all.It floats right by them and they let it pass by.The characters don't even float on their own.It is a durable toy, and the figures are cute....but the kids are the true "testers" of the toys, and they have rejected it.May just be a matter of taste.It seemed cute to me.However, not much different than any old thing that floats in the tub.

I have two solutions for the moldy water problem!
I got this used tub toy (...)in a box of toys I bought. They came in a plastic bag with a puddle of water in it. The puzzle pieces each have a hole in the bottoms, and water gets into them and turns moldy. Since the pieces are hard plastic, it is very hard to squirt the water out. My husband drilled a few extra holes into each piece, and the water issue has gone away! The pieces still float, and the water drains out very easily. You can also use a glue gun to seal up the holes, but just be sure that the insides are completely clean and dry. I know this may seem like a bit much to go through for a toy, but when you see how much your kids love this tub toy, you'll be glad to did it! My 15 month old twins love this toy, and I suspect they'll enjoy it for at least another year. I rate it 4 stars for educational since the toy teaches shapes, as each piece is a different shape. Great memories
This is a great way for my children to get to know their relatives.As they grow older we change the pictures to more current photos.It is very durable and can be wiped with a damp cloth.I have even used them for baby gifts and get great responses when I give them to people.

Best Toy Ever
My daughter got these as a gift when she was 1 mo. old.Our friend said his 2 yr. old still played with them 50% of the time and all his other toys the other 50%.I believe it!She loved them from day 1.At first she would just look at them.Now she can stack them, nest them, knock them down, bang them together, play in the sand or the tub and a million other things.She also plays with them every single day.Maybe our cups are a newer version, but they all have holes in the bottom and my very "chompy" daughter has yet to wear away anything.I take these to the park with us every day and I have yet to meet a child who can resist them.We have had kids from birth to 12 yr. old come over to play with these cups.They are now our standard baby gift.I'd give them 10 stars if I could.

Love 'em!
My 8 month old loves the cups. It's one of her favorite toys. She practices drinking with them, experiments with different sounds with her voice by holding cup to her mouth and "talking" into it. And she loves to play with them in the water, especially the ones with holes in the bottom.

Best for bath time!
I purchased these cups for my 7 month old and my two year old.They were initially intended for "dry land" use, with the typical stacking and nesting, but in the search for new tub toys around the house, in they went.Both of my kids (now 11mo and 2 1/2 yrs) love to pour water back and forth between the cups and also pour water on each other (and the floor and mommy of course!) Two of the cups have holes in the bottom, and my 11mo old son especially loves these.The best thing about using these in the tub is the easy cleaning, you don't get that nasty, impossible to clean mildew stuck in them like the squirty toys.Squirty toys have been banned from our tub after reading an article stating the hazards related to the mildew growth within such toys.Gross!

The little characters painted on each one are so cute and they also show the characters favorite item on the bottoms of the cups.Another review stated that the painted characters came off when chewed on, my kids are pretty rough with these and I have yet to have a problem.All in all a cute toy, just make sure that your younger kids are supervised as some of the cups are large enough to be suctioned over their mouth and nose. Excellent toy
This toy kept my 2 year old daughter entertained and delighted for hours.The smile on her face when Elmo sings is just wonderful!Elmo sounds great singing the songs, and his hand moves when he plays the guitar.THis is an awesome toy.

Keeps on going

Rock n' Roll Elmo
I bought this for my daughter when she was 2 years old.She still loves it now and she's 6!!
It has lasted really well and still looks like new! (and it has been very well used)

great for just starting out
My daughter received this as a gift from her Gram on her 1st birthday. I did not see a problem with her rocking. If anything, it is a safety feature for young ones. She was able to get on by herself and loved rocking or just sitting. I agree with the wheels being close together and it is hard to roll as a ride on. Just don't hammer them as tight, when assembling. Learned that and made adjustment on second axle. She was able to push when she was a little bigger. She still loves it at age 3. It is going to be hard to pass this down to her 9 month old sister. The washable cover comes off easily with buttons and Velcro and is still looking new.There is some better riding and rocking toys out there, but I found this more suitable for my young and growing baby. Not to mention it takes up less space than others.

9 Month old loves it.....
I actually bought this from a yard sale several months back and he didn't start using it until a couple of months ago. Now he loves it, he gets on there and actually will put on hand in the air like he knows what he is suppose to do. He really likes taking off the bottem and moving around the house. He liked it so much that both grandma's went and bought one for their homes. I would buy this again if I need to.

My kids love this zebra
My son received this from his grandmother on his first birthday and he loved it then and still loves it now,6 months later.He has not tired of it.I also have an almost 3 year old and she also loves it.They fight over who gets to ride on it and it is not the only ride on toy we have at our house,just the favorite.(...).This is a good toy.One thing I can say is that we never used it as a rocking toy.We already had a rocking horse so we didn't attach the rocking part,so I cannot comment on that aspect of the toy but riding it around my house is a big hit. ... Cute and fun to play with...
My daughter received the farm for her first birthday, she turned two this week and she still loves to play with the farm. She often takes the animals out of it and plays with them with her other animals, then puts them "night night" in their stalls. This toy is a great gift for girls or boys!

Great toy
My son got this for his 2nd birthday and he LOVED it!It was a huge hit with him & his then 9 month old brother.It's been 6 months since then and they still play with it daily.The pieces are holding up really well, despite how rough my boys are with it!

My kids still play with this after a year!
My three year old got this for Christmas last year and totally loved it!My 4 1/2 year old loves it too!We have misplaced most of the pieces and have completely lost the end cap, but my boys still use it to transport things!If you can keep it in one piece, it's totally worth the money!

Wonderful toy
I just gave this toy to my 1 year old niece and she loved it.Her 3 year old brother also played with it for quite a while.It is durable, and there are many things they can do with it.She was busy with it for almost 2 hours.Each day she would pull it out and play with it.I can't say enough about this toy!If the child can not put the shapes in their slots, they can push it through the other side.She likes reaching inside and pulling the shapes out easily.I like that the shapes, once put in don't come out unless you want them to.This is a GREAT toy!

String too short
The string used to hold the stick used to pluck the xylophone keys is way too short.But it is short for a reason, a longer string could pose as a choking hazard, but due to the fact that string is short, it is hard for small children to grasp the concept of using the stick.It's okay if you just want to pluck the keys without the stick.Kids will grow bored and frustrated with this toy it seems.

Rated too old.
I believe this toy's age rating should be lower. My daughter found this at daycare at 6 months and loved it. I ended up getting one for home that she still plays with and she is 11 months. Her daddy has even learned songs on it and plays it with her! It's alot of fun and so far can take a beating.

Extended interest toy
I bought this for my 12 month old daughter.She loves pounding on it with the provided stick or using the finger keys.The string is too short to use it to pull around, OR to use the attached drum stick.
You have to untie the stick to use it.As others have complained - while my child is exceptionally adept at whatever she tries, getting the stick OUT of the alligator's mouth can be tricky.
It is VERY durable - she stands on it - even upside down, kicks it and throws it out of the playpen, nothing seems to hurt it.As for it being a "noisy" toy??? - it has never bothered me - however, maybe it is my attitude-I feel as long as she loves it, I am happy - but then I am a much older mom - I'm 61!! ...
