This toy rocks! It flies so high. Almost higher then my house!

4-0 out of 5 stars You _Can_ Master The Drawbacks
After reading other comments on this toy I decided to buy 2 of them (as a gift for friends)--fully expecting a short life span.

When the first one died everything seemed to work fine but it would no longer take-off.

We compared the fully-charged, used (but undamaged) Hover Copter to a brand new, first time charged Hover Copter. The used Copter propellor spun slightly slower than the brand new Copter (we held them up and compared the amount of air current).

I would advise doing everything possible to avoid battery memory build-up.Fully discharge after each session (leave it on after use)!Charge it no longer than recommended right before use.Never charge any longer than recommended. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars much better
as in the title (advanced mission) is the main feature of the game. instead of shooting only 1 space at a time like in classic battleship you get weapons for most of the ships! for example submarines have sonar which scan 9 spaces for ships but doesn't give the exact coordinate have two torpedos that fire horizontally or vertically down one row or across a column till it hits. the destroyer can hit 3 spaces at once horizontally or vertically and aircraft carrier can hit 5 spaces at once. also you can launch 2 recon planes off of the aircraft carriers. a recon plane is used to scan a small area(4 spaces) each for ships and gives exact coordinates when. although useful, it takes 2 turns to launch the plane or move it to another point and scan. of course both players get AA guns to shoot down those nosy planes. finally the battleship has the most devastating weapon in the game- the tomahawk missile. only can be used once and hits 9 spaces at once. because it is a computer that stores your ships' position if you play against the computer (you can) the computer always hits your ships when using a special weapon. the use of strategy gets BATTLESHIP 5 stars for educational value but overall the game got 3 stars because the hit and miss pegs are incredibly hard to remove and sometimes need to be removed with pliers.

5-0 out of 5 stars Cool twist on classic battleship
I bought this game for my son but both he and I love the game.It takes the basic battleship game and adds some complexity and variety by letting you choose from among several modes of play. The salvo mode lets you attack your opponent one space at a time, but the advanced mode is really our favorite. In this mode each of your ships has a set of missles that allow you to attack groups of squares in different patterns. The submarine, besides having two torpedoes, can be used to search for the opponents ships. The more you play the game, the more sophisticated the strategy gets. For example, you have to decide whether to use your assests to scan for the enemy ships, or to use your weapons before your ships can be detected and sunk.It is an easy game to learn and we have had hours of fun with it.My son's friends come to the house and want to play this game instead of computer games!

The only negative about the game is that it is really "chatty".Every time you make a selection of your weaponry, you will hear a rather long (5 - 10 second) soundtrack telling you your weapons are ready to fire.If you play the game a lot, these soundtracks slow the game down and become moderately annoying.Other than this minor annoyance, the game has been great fun.

2-0 out of 5 stars great toy for convicts
I would have bought this toy for a convict.Otherwise, its worthless. My children found it borish, lame and no fun at all.I thought it was pointless.I would advise anyone with a few dollars to save their money. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Bitter disappointment.
What a let-down this game is.Seriously, is it too much to ask for a solid flying game like Star Fox 64 was?I mean getting out and walking around shooting things is great and all, but this is a STAR FOX game, and the last thing I would buy a Star Fox game for is to run around and blow things up, especially when there are other games out there that fulfill that type of game play so much better.I was expecting the bulk of this game to be spent flying around in an R-Wing....boy was I wrong.

Do yourself a favor if you've never bought a Star Fox game before, go to a pawn shop, get a N64 and buy Star Fox 64.You'll thank me when it's over.

5-0 out of 5 stars Solid!
Fox has done it again. Nintendo always revamps its games and this is no exception. Graphics are good enough to make Starfox: Adventures look like Starfox 64! Beatiful explosion effects and lasers. Sound is beautiful, gameplay is simple to learn but hard to master. I love this game, and I reccommend it to Starfox veterans or those fresh out of video game boot camp. Speaking of military stuff remember 4 player combat, because someday you'll hear some dude screaming "Remember the Titanian planes!" and then hear his Arwing get shot down.

2-0 out of 5 stars Okay
I was about to give this game a 1 star due to frausration in the levels ' but i decided to let it slide ' now im a beginner to the starfox games and i saw starfox assault on the shelves so i picked it up today i played it and the levels and gameplay are confusing as hell you ll here a character call out for help but you ll half to shoot down the enemy who is after them but sometime the enemy is invisible from the attack making it impossible to hit even the ground enemies are sometime invisible from getting hit ' maybe its because im a beginner but i doubt it ' and the levels are hard and difficult ' But if youre new to the starfox games get starfox adventures first because i think fox is not in no annoying wing

2-0 out of 5 stars Not a good choice for younger kids
My 4 yr old is crazy about The Incredibles and counted the days until his Incredibles game arrived in the mail. It was very disappointing. It is a lot of punching and being shot at and that's about it. Since The Incredibles appeal to a very large and young audience (and I know older folks too). I really thought the game would be more appropriate for younger children. It's not. My son loves Zelda, Urbz, and Mario Kart but unfortunatelythis was a waste of money and a big disappointment for a great little guy.

4-0 out of 5 stars An Intelligent Nod
I have yet to play Advance Wars 1 or 2, Intelligent Systems' modern war/strategy series for the GBA, but I can venture an educated guess that Fire Emblem shares a lot in common with it.Fire Emblem is a strategy RPG reminiscent of the Shining Force series for the Genesis, but it's been forever for me to make detailed comparisons of the two. Fans of Shining Force, Ogre Battle, and/or Advance Wars will probably find a lot to like.

Fire Emblem will be fairly easy for those experienced in these kinds of games. Most of the challenge presents itself in keeping your combatants alive, because if they are killed during battle, you won't be getting a chance to get them back. Not even a chance to revive them from defeat (unlike, for example, the popular Final Fantasy Tactics, where you had up to three turns to revive a fallen comrade). This can present a problem if you don't use tight and well-thought out tactics, because the enemy will always jump at the opportunity to kill the weakest party members within range.Fortunately, there's an ability to "rescue" other members, and even pass them off to others in your group.Anyway, I think it's pretty neat that you can't get them back.It adds an urgent dynamic to the game and forces you to really think your moves through. After the first part of the game, it even tells what the characters who didn't make it to the end went on to do with their lives. Some followed the party (although injured and unable to fight), while others went their separate ways.

In battle, it is prudent that you search out the most advantageous terrain (forests, forts) and engage from there. Also, weapon selection is an important factor, as certain weapons are good against some, bad against others.Rounding out the standard and borrowed strategy-RPG elements is the class system, albeit a limited one (nothing on the scale of an FFT or Tactics Ogre; more like Shining Force).Your units can advance in class with a specific item after reaching level 10.

One thing worth mentioning in Fire Emblem is that enemy forces, on some battlefields, are concealed within fog or darkness. The limited visibility adds another layer of danger to the combat, which can be partially alleviated with some items. However, this element only somewhat succeeds.I wonder if the developers could have made it where the limited visibility worked both ways, where the enemy had no way of knowing where you are, and would occasionally stumble into a big pack of your units (I wonder, but I think I know the answer to that one).More importantly, a stealth element is missing in the game, perhaps the ability to sneak up on an enemy without them knowing about your approach.

So, what drives all this fighting in Fire Emblem? The first part of the game has you controlling Lyn, a young woman from the Plains of Sacae, whose family was murdered by bandits, and who is of royal lineage in a far off Kingdom. Her journey takes her to the castle in search of her ailing Grandfather, in order to stop his vengeful brother from usurping the throne. But we find out that this is just a small part of a bigger scheme.Big surprise, huh?The story is ok, and the characters are ok, and the dialogue and writing might be the strongest aspect. However, there's nothing remotely profound or emotional in the melodramatic delivery of the game's story, but that's the norm for video games. Oh well.Instead, you end up developing an attachment to the characters for how well they fight in battle, cheering them on during encounters and hoping they don't get killed. The game succeeds in this.

A Final Fantasy Tactics this is not. It's not dynamic or deep enough in both its gameplay and story and sentiment. However, I'd argue that it's slightly better than Final Fantasy Tactics Advance for the GBA.Both games are derivative of what has come, but Fire Emblem's not stepping backwards--only nodding to the past.

4-0 out of 5 stars Very good strategy/rpg title for the GBA/DS
This game is an excellent strategy title for your Gameboy and will give you dozens of hours of gameply. (My first go through the game was over 24 hours total)

The characters are all pretty much interesting in this game and there are tons of them to pick and choose on missions. The variety of the units and their personalities are what make this game so enjoyable.

And if a unit dies then its dead. No 1-ups or resurrection in this game. If your character dies then be prepared to never see them again.
This really keeps you on your toes as wounded units need rescuers and backup.
However, this can be a pain to play a mission for over an hour then have the boss kill them in one hit, thus causing you to start the level over again...

All in all this is simple to learn, yet highly entertaining game. Pick it up if youre missing some a challenging and engrossing strategy game.

2-0 out of 5 stars Saved games reset - *sigh*
A fun strategy game overall, but has a major flaw - I can't stand any game that does not let you save anytime you want.I know this game allows you to save at anytime, but the game auto saves for you at the last turn, so that when you die you cannot revert to where you originally saved.I know the designers of Fire Emblem did this so to make the game more challenging or "realistic", so that players can't "cheat" by playing from that save point over and over again, but it actually makes the game more annoying and frustrating. If you character dies, by lets say a way to powerful and out of balanced mini boss attacking you and killing you with one shot, you have to start the whole stupid level over again.

Otherwise, this game would have received 5 stars - trust me, you'll get frustrated and annoyed the 100th time you main character dies, and you are forced to play the level over again. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think this game is awesome! It's a really cool game!
When I first played Pokemon Stadium, I looked for other Pokemon games, so I found this. It hs a unique story plot too it. You have too rescue Shadow Pokemon, and open the door to their hearts. Ther's this guy that stole a snagging machine so he could snag shadow pokemon, and a girl who can tell which pokemon are shadows. And the cool thing is that you can nam them yourself, so they suit you.
You start out with 2 pokemon, but as youi snag more you will end up with a lot more! The only thing that isn't cool is Battle Mode. You have to have
1. a gameboy advance
2. a link cable
3. either pokemon shappire, or pokemon fire
Me or any of myfriends, don't have those games so we can't battle.(wahh!!!)
But otherwise then that this game rocks! And I think that any pokemon fan, or even people who are just experincing it should buy this game!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars pretty cool game
This game is very fun even for me because i stopped playin pokemon games for like 1 year but this was really fun. The graphics to me look really cool like when your pokemon evolve.

There are good points and bad points i shall tell u about. The bad part is the people dont actually talk just the transcript comes. Also its strange because u can only catch "specific pokemon" not the ones you want to catch. You can only snag specific pokemon. And if u miss it u cant try to catch it again and that means no ho-oh!!!!!!!!!!

Now i prefer you save before goin to any of the main pple like miror b or dakim because dakim has entei! For pokemon lovers this game is really cool.

Good parts are well its really fun and addictive oh ya i forgot to tell u about group battle. You need a gameboy advance or sp and that pak!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! which is pretty sad. It looks cool on the ads and it is cool but its not wat i expected but its stil fun. There are only 48 pokemon which u can snag in the game. Even in like ruby or sapphire or any of those games there are like 150 pokemon. A pretty cool game.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good, but could've been better
As a long time Pokemon fan I was slightly dissapointed by this game, I mean it was good, but I think it should've been 2 games. The part I enjoyed the most (the actuall "Colosseum" part), with the battle mountian and stadium, I think could've had a few more features if it had been a game by itself. The 100 trainer knock out challenge, with your Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Fire Red, Leaf Green, or Story Mode pokemon, is the funnest aspect of the game. The Story Mode could have been better, quite frankly, I'd expected a little more from the first 3D pokemon RPG. The whole concept of "snagging" pokemon from trainers, and then purifying them is a little lacking, and doesn't work as well as catching wild pokemon. It would have been better if there had been more pokemon to choose from, there weren't a whole lot of good pokemon to snag. The best pokemon in the game are your starters, espeon and umbreon. Also, it's hard to have all you're pokemon at high levels by the time of the final battle; because they can't go up any levels before they are purified, and that takes awhile! If I were to re-do Story Mose, I'd stick soley with espeon and umbreon the whole game! Another thing I'd like to note is that all battles in Story mode are double battles (where you use 2 pokemon at once), which isn't nessearely a bad thing. It's not that Story Mode isn't fun, I just didn't feel it lived up to its Gameboy counterparts. I'm eager to see if the newely annouced sequel to Colosseum, currently titled: Pokemon XD, Dark Winds Dark Lugia, does a better job than Colosseum. I have heard that there will be a wider range of pokemon to snag, that's a start. In this new game, it seems you will start with a Lv.5 eevee (the un-evloved form of espeon and umbreon, as well as flareon, jolteon, and vaporeon), it seems you will probably get to pick your "eon" this time. Anyway, bottom line is, if you're a pokemon fan, I recommed getting Coloseum, it's great to see your Gameboy pokemon battling on the 100 trainer challenge, and it is an experiance to play a pokemon RPG in 3D. Overall, it really is a good game. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Game I Own, but for Hardcore Fans Only
You better know your stuff before you plan on purchasing this game and make sure you know 2-4 people who know more than they should as well about the Star Wars universe. Some of these questions are extremely tough and there are very few easy ones. I used to play the Decipher Star Wars card game, so my memory of those cards actually helped me a lot with remembering certain characters that were barely mentioned in the films. This is a truly great game that we knowledgeable Star Wars fans finally deserve.

5-0 out of 5 stars If you're a Star Wars fan, this is fun
There's nothing like getting together with fellow Star Wars fans and play this special version of Trivial Pursuit. It's great! It's just like the old Trivial Pursuit with, of course, questions only about Star Wars. When you try for a wedge, however, you have to resort to one of two DVDs that come with the game for the question. If you don't answer the question in the time limit given, your oponents can shout out the right answer - as long as they don't have the wedge - and possibly steal it from you. If you like the classic Trivial Pursuit and you happen to be a Star Wars fan and you have a couple like-minded friends or family members, this is a lot of fun and definitely worth the money. ... Editorial Review

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic takes place just a few years after the Mandolorian Wars, thousands of years before the events in the Star Wars movies we know and love. Two Jedi, master Revan and his apprentice Malak, led the Republic's forces to victory and pursued the Mandalorians into deep space only to return as Dark Jedi at the head of a huge fleet of Sith warships. Only the Force powers of the Jedi Bastila prevented the Sith from overwhelming the Republic's weakened forces. At the start of the game Malak has usurped control of the Sith by betraying Revan and has attacked the ship carrying Bastila and yourself. In true Star Wars style, the game begins with a bang.

The storyline could have been a standard coming-of-age yarn but is instead a genuinely interesting adventure told with humor, compassion, and respect for the source material. Your character has a mystical bond with Bastila, and the two of you share some kind of connection to the Sith villains Darth Malak and Darth Revan. The game's planet-hopping adventures are driven by your exploration of these connections and how they relate to your larger goal of discovering the source of the Sith's sudden fleet. During your adventure you can explore side quests minor (such as racing swoops or gambling) and major (such as uncovering the fascinating back stories of your companions). Star Wars fans will get a kick out of the rich lore introduced in the game, particularly the Tatooine storyline that reveals the origin and history of the Sand People.

Gameplay is an abbreviated form of Wizards of the Coast's d20 Star Wars RPG game system--anyone who has played Dungeons & Dragons will be familiar with the abilities, stats, feats, and bonuses in this game. The player creates a character as a member of one of three starting classes (soldier, smuggler, scout) and then later chooses a Jedi class (guardian, consular, sentinel). Joining the player's character are other Jedi, warriors, thieves, droids, a wookiee, and even a Mandolorian. Unlike the faceless non-player characters of other games, each member of the supporting cast has an intriguing history and even agenda. Up to two of these other characters can join your character at any time. Depending on who you chose to take with you, new dialogue and even intra-party arguments come into the game (put the Mandalorian veteran with the Republic patriot and you'll see sparks fly). Combat is real-time turn-based, meaning the turns are seamless but the player has the option of pausing the action at any time to issue orders or direct any character to use a certain Force power, ability, feat, or item.

Graphics range from adequate to exceptional. Building and character models are not impressive--about what you get in GTA 3. Lightsaber graphics and environmental effects (like waving grass, clouds, and weather) bring the world to life. Battles are just brilliant, with characters pumping out blaster fire at Jedi who dash, dodge, and even deflect the bolts back toward their assailants. Complete with sounds straight out of the movies, the thrilling combat is pure Star Wars.

All in all, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is a masterpiece of Star Wars gaming. The pacing, balance of action and dialogue, clever puzzles and quests, and loving attention to detail have set the bar very high for role-playing games in general and Star Wars games in particular. Consider this a must-have game.--Mike Fehlauer

5-0 out of 5 stars Wow! Awesome game.
My friend owns this game, not me. Even still, I am amazed at this game. In two days, I have played it for over 10 hours (it counts). The gameplay is awesome, plot is awesome, and it isn't a game that can be easily beaten. The part that I love the most is that you can choose whether your character will be good or evil, which will affect the game plot. I don't own an Xbox, but after playing this game, I am considering buying one.

4-0 out of 5 stars Its fun, its just...
This game really is a good time, the graphics are awesome, and the story is great. BUT, I dont like having the XBOX doing the fighting for me.Im a big boy I can defend my self from the evil Sith. This game is really hard too, I suggest you get the guid

5-0 out of 5 stars I am a believer!
When a friend suggested to me to buy this game, I frowned in disbelief mainly becasue Episode I and II had just come out I was very disappionted with the overall quality of these movies and swore to myself that I would never buy a Star Wars product ever again. Bad mistake becasue after my friend had convinced me to go out and buy it, I found that i was addicted to it.

Now I'm not a big fan of RPGs, but I found this game's engine to be very easy to both learn and to master. The character's are fully custimizable and range from a psycho droid to a lumbering wookie to a Jedi hermit. You can change everything from armor to weapons to headgear on your characters while they are with you.

The cutscenes are absolutly beautiful are almost make me beleive that I am in a movie theatre for a few seconds.

The two things that really make this game though are the dark/light choices and the story line. Everything that you do in the game affects your dark/light alignment, which in turn dictates your appearence and how costly some dark or light side force moves will be. The story is amazing and compelled me to play the game all the way to the end just to find out the final of many plot twists at the end.

Overall, this game was amazing and I would suggest it to anyone who wants to play either a deep story driven game or someone who just wants to crack some heads after watching Episode I. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Terrible baseball simulator
This is, without a doubt the worst baseball simulator out there. It's like EA just gave up on the product being that it's the last year they are doing it.The baseball games are just unrealistic. For exampleI'm three months into my season and all my starters have at least 2 perfect games each while my team has a batting average of .217!It's just impossible to hit in this game for both computer and player.I've even adjusted the contact levels to no avail. This game is just terrible!

5-0 out of 5 stars The Elite of 2005's Lineup
MVP Baseball 2005 is the closest game currently on the market to give you the most in-depth baseball experience possible. In my opinion, the only people not liking some aspects of this game will be New York Yankees fans. It's not only Manny on the cover, but also the intro video, cracks and comments throughout the games and even a song praising Boston's first title in 86 years. Well, all I can say is, if you can't overlook those things, you're missing one fantastic game. Let's break it down:

Owner Mode:
New this year is Owner Mode where you begin with picking a stadium (not one of the existing ballparks, but a starter stadium) and making a few upgrades (seating, lights, whatever you can afford before opening day). You can add a restaurant, set ticket prices, make promotional days and on and on.

You have a financial advisor for the season, budget reports, player contracts, etc. One note: Yes, you can be the owner and play the game just like you would in Dynasty Mode. You can sim, play individual games, manage the game or sit in your luxury box and watch it all take place. There is so much to this mode that I couldn't possibly fit it into this review.

Dynasty Mode:
This mode is essentially the same as last year. Keep the owner happy, the players, do contracts and play the games. It's been updated and tweaked for more user friendly experience. And I can't leave out that this year, you even have single-A teams in addition to AA, AAA, and MLB.

Mini Games:
Instead of just a Home Run Derby, EA has included a variety of features that can teach you different aspects of the game. There is batting practice, pitching practice and also a scenario editor. To me, I found it to be an enjoyable experience especially when hitting the cars and busses over the outfield wall. This seems like a throw back to Triple-Play 2000 when you had target practice.

Graphics:
Simply amazing. Need I say more? The players faces and stances are mirrored to their real-life counterparts. Cutscenes, and animations are gorgeous. The only thing I found a proble with was the crowd...even in 2005, they are still wooden-looking. That's a sacrifice you have to make and it doesn't detract from the game experience.

Gameplay:
What a shift from last year! Pitching is now a lot more realistic with the way you use the meter. Instead on the old meter where you set power and tried to hit right spot, they have upgraded it to you having to stop it and exactly the right moment, if not, you risk and early or late breaking pitch. In rookie mode, it's not as big of a deal as it is in MVP mode. Make some mistake pitches in the higher levels and you're asking for trouble.

Batting is great! When you foul off a pitch, a little screen comes up and shows you how you hit it. Fouling off a pitch is a mistimed swing, same as a swing through. Gone is the animation where you swung, missed the ball and it popped up the crazy box to show you missing it. Instead, this year, they have the popup box, yet include the ball trail so you see how you missed it.

Fielding & baserunning is comparable to last years version with some great upgrades to visuals. There are plenty of dives, showboating grabs, wall jumps, and take-out slides.

Ok, I could go on & on with this review because, like I said, this is the most in-depth baseball game I have ever seen. If you want the best out there, MVP Baseball 2005 hits a Home Run.

4-0 out of 5 stars Best Version yet
Unfortunately, it may also be the last version due to TakeTwo's contract with MLB.

Anyway, this is a great addition to EA's collection of sports titles. Some cons include:Commentators have new things to say, in addition to the old things, but they still get dull rather quickly. You can only control one team at a time.I like to play NCAA football and Madden while "playing" one team and "playing owner, gm, etc." for another.

Pros:

1)Graphics:So much smoother in this version. The outfield characters are leaner and better looking. The stadiums look great and even when you create a ballpark, it still looks good.

2)Gameplay:It is tougher to field, hit, etc. but I consider this a good thing.Fielding is tougher because when you're tracking a fly ball you don't automatically stop on the circle. You actually have to pay attention once you get "close".Hitting is tougher, I think, and I actually have had to lower my level of gameplay to make myself more competitive.Baserunning is also more of a challenge. The pitchers are better at picking your runners off, and while you can modify the "gameplay tuning" it doesn't make winning automatic.Additionally, they fixed a "bug" from the 2004 version that made it harder for left-handers to hit homeruns.

3)Game modes:
a.Dynasty:Great.Same as before.120 years to build a dynasty and see what you can do.

b.Owner mode:Wow!Only 30 years, but still long enough. You create your own stadium from pre-set options (This could be improved). You buy food stands to sell food to the fans. You buy batting cages, souvenir stands, order fireworks night, order magnetic schedules, etc. This is to get the fans to come, keep them interested while they're there, and hopefully make more money. You start off with a stadium of 20,000 and can work your way up to 65,000 (I think).Everything you buy costs money, but in the long run, you'll hopefully be able to turn a profit. This is hard.So far, I'm 30 games in and $5 million in the whole.

c.Mini-games.The pitching mini-game is HARD!Wow!It's not an automatic win.Of course, I could be losing because I'm using the Pirates. You have a "strike-zone" and you have to pitch the ball to certain locations in the strike-zone.THere is a timed game and an un-timed game. The batting mini-game is actually relatively easy, but definitely good for honing your directional hitting skills. You can also play these mini-games in your "season" games during spring training. It allows you to improve, or negate, your players' ratings.

d.Home-run Derby.Same as before.

One thing I really like that I didn't notice in the previous version is that when you do the different mini-games and homerun derby, the computer actually tells you how many points you got based on the level of difficulty. If you put it on higher settings (of difficulty) you get more points, but it's so much harder the higher you go.

I only became a baseball fan a few years ago, but these games have really helped me understand the game a bit better, learn more about the players, and boggled my mind with the number of things we can do with technology.

Great Game.Try www.easports.com first because they're currently offering free shipping. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Mommy look, it's a SpongeBob game. It must be good...
I don't think so. I am a HUGE SpongeBob fan. My friend owns this game for Gamecube. The Gamecube version is great! You KA-RA-TE chop, bubble bowl, and rock out with SpongeBob. Using Patrick you spin around, cartwheel, and smash. That was a description of the Gamecube game. Now, I don't own a Gamecube so I got a GBA game, thinking it would be somewhat the same. I was very wrong. It is a 2d side-scroller, no KA-RA-TE chops, no cartwheel, not one single attack except for smash. You destroy enemies and bosses (very easy bosses) by jumping on their heads. Regular enemies either walk back and forth, float and throw stuff, try to hit you with a hammer, just float up and down or burp on you. Very easy enemies. Even easier bosses. Bosses have their own special combo of attacks. You avoid them(includes running at you, jumping on you, throwing stuff at you) by jumping over them, ducking,or dodging and when they pause you jump on their heads. Do this 3 times and you've beaten that boss, way too easy for gamers. You collect clams to buy so called "upgrades". All these really are are lives, buckets(explained later) and bonus levels. Buckets are buckets full of soap. When you press L SpongeBob drinks the soap and spits bubbles everywhere, destroying every enemy on the sceen. When you hold R you charge up for "hyper speed". When bubbles appear behind you let go of R and you'll run really fast destroying any rocks or enemies in your way. Press A to jump, and A again to float with Patricks pants. B isn't used. Two more things, I went through this game in one hour, and it doesn't save (you have to enter a code you get every two levels). This was a waste of $30. I hope this review helped.

Editorial Review

Ever wondered what would happen if the worlds of Final Fantasy and Disney collided? It’s an odd concept to be sure, but from the most schizophrenic of acorns the mighty gaming oak of Kingdom Hearts has grown. Legendary role-playing game makers Square have been given unprecedented liberties with the entire Disney universe and have created a game featuring everything from The Nightmare Before Christmas to The Little Mermaid. This is odd enough in itself when you have characters as disparate as Tarzan and Donald Duck teaming up, but becomes majorly freaky when Square thrown in a variety of their own characters such as Cloud, Squall, and Aeris from the various Final Fantasy games. But this incongruity has one side benefit in that the storyline behind the game is by necessity rather vague, which seems to have stopped Square from filling three CDs full of their usual New Age whining about Mother Earth. Instead they’ve spent even more time on the graphics, and the end result is a quite stunning 3-D cartoon.

As for the gameplay, it may come as a surprise to learn that it doesn’t actually feature, as all the Final Fantasy games do, turn-based combat. Instead it's essentially a scrolling beat-'em-up-cum-platformer with exactly the kind of complicated Square-style knobs you’d expect. The game may be a little shallow, but it’s an impressive artistic achievement and to be quite frank any title that allows you to magically summon Bambi out of thin air to attack evil demons of the underworld has got to be worth some sort of recommendation. --David Jenkins ... I have absolutely no regrets when I got this game for Christmas two years ago. Pros: Great graphics, soundtrack, and plot
Cons: At times, it is extremely frusterating and it took me a year or two to beat it. Also, some kids at my school thought it was stupid because you fight with a key. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Beautiful doll
I just received this lovely doll as a gift, and though I agree with a previous reviewer that Mattel could have used a nicer fabric for her dress, I have no complaints about her.Her hair is almost a strawberry blonde color, and her eyes are hazel instead of green or blue. For the price I think she's a gorgeous doll, and it's actually a shame to keep her in a box!

4-0 out of 5 stars Spellbound Lover doll
I am disappointed that they chose to use a material that feels like plastic to make the dress. I wish they would stop being so cheap and use better-quality fabric. Other than that, the doll seems very beautiful-attractive facial paint, lovely long hair, and pretty dress style.

5-0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Lovely
I am a Barbie collector of limited means and often have great difficulty in making my choices.I am not at all disappointed in this lovely lady. The fabric choices for her attire are simply gorgeous.I laugh when I remember making my own Barbie doll clothes as a child out of polyester and seersucker scraps. She is beautiful and beautifully dressed.I only wish I could win a lottery to be able to acquire more of these exquisite collectibles.I doubt she will leave the box again, no matter how much my kids beg. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars An 11 year- old 's review
If I could give this game over 5 stars, I definitely would. This is an excellent game!!! I got it for Christmas, and since then, I've played it every chance I get. All my 18 other games have been gathering dust since 12/25/05. I would reccomend this game to all ages. You can get sheep, cows, and chickens. You can also get a horse and a dog. You also pick a girl to become your girlfriend, and,if you try hard, to eventually become your wife. There's a whole lot more to this game than raising crops, as you'll find out if you buy the game. I guess I'm not doing a very thourough job of describing this game, am I? Well, I absolutely LOVE this game, so buy it now! I think that pretty much everyone would like this game! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Okay game
Hello my name is The Punisher from Mars. I will not tell you my nameFor security reasons. This is a good game but easy for me. I have beaten this game over 20 times in 15 days. I f you are looking for a good game with good graphics and easy to beat this game is probably fo you. I have all of the Budakai games and I have reserved the up coming Dragon Ball Z Sagas it looks good.

4-0 out of 5 stars fun.
This game is really fun. I have all but uub and omega shenron unlocked(Inclouding ss4 vegeta and goku fusion. Again I need omega shenron. Anyone know how to get him.?

4-0 out of 5 stars I'm a big fan of Dragon Ball Z...
And when I'm a fan of something, that means I scrutinize it much more closely and wish very deeply to see it achieve its potential.
Dragon Ball Z is an anime series that revolves around characters with superhuman powers such a superhuman strength, speed, endurance, flight and the power to fire blasts of life-energy from their palms. These powers grow stronger the more they train, and so as such, they spend most of their time either training or fighting.
Now, I believe Dragon Ball Z could use fighting game elements to make a perfect game based on the animated series. No, I don't think this is that game, but there's a reason for that.
In virtually every episode of the series, you'll hear someone talking about something, witness someone training to get stronger, or watch as one or more of the good guys is paralyzed with fear over how much stronger the enemy is than they are.For example, when Vegeta attacked the Earth, he was so strong that he put Goku (arguably the series' main character) in a hospital bed.Yet later in the series, he is attacked and almost killed by Zarbon, one of Frieza's henchmen.Zarbon, in turn, had less than half the strength of characters like Burter or Jeice, who in turn, were about half as strong as Ginyu, the person commanding them.Ginyu was, as far as we know, Frieza's second in command, but Frieza was over 100 times stronger than he was.Over 1000 times in the american series.
In fact, Frieza was so powerful, that he single-handedly wiped out the entire planet that Vegeta hailed from with a simple gesture IN HIS WEAKEST FORM.
This is a massive power difference between two characters in the series, as you might imagine.
But Budokai 3 is a fighting game. There's no getting around that. And in a fighting game, having one character who can annihilate another just by breathing hard wouldn't work too well, would it?
Well, at any rate, I doubt it would, in a fighting game.It would, however, work just fine in an RPG.The whole "training and getting stronger" thing is just another word for what we in the video game community call "mining for experience."A system that could easily be incorporated into a game like this as a bonus game/story mode, while also incorportating the enormous mathematical power levels that DBZ brings forth.
But in this game, the biggest difference between the character of Frieza and the character of Cell lies in their movesets. In the anime, Cell could kill Frieza with one punch, but in this game, it's not too tough to beat Cell using Frieza in a fight.
Furthermore, and more to the point, when I fought Cell as Goku in this game's story mode, he wasn't really any tougher than when I fought Frieza, nor was he really that much stronger.
Maybe some day a DBZ RPG will come out in the vein of Kingdom Hearts gameplay-wise, that will faithfully represent the vast gulf in power between the DBZ characters. This game does not fulfill the potential of a DBZ video game because of this.
However, in virtually every other respect, I think this game is great. It's got quite a few DBZ fighters (though it does leave out a few, like Kibito, Chaotsu, Burter, Jeice, Zarbon, Dodoria, Cui, 19, etc...) and quite a few moves and move styles for those characters that are even customizable at one point. When I picked it up, I was so anxious to see which characters I could earn that I didn't put it down for a day and a half.I was that obsessed.
Long and short, this game may not be what I've been waiting for in terms of a DBZ video game, but it's the best DBZ FIGHTING game I've ever seen. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Worked for me, and now for him
I have a 9 year old son. I got this for him last Christmas. I only bought it because I remembered when I had something similar to it a long time ago. I remembered how much I learned from it about electricity, and how it got me into it. The look on my boy after a few hours playing with it was just the same as I had years ago. This toy is very enjoyable and educational at the same time. I have another boy (5years old), and he doesn't know how to play with it, but he has an intrest of the sounds it makes, and some of the projects you can have your voice broadcasted through a weak AM channel. My son took it to school to show and tell, and the teacher asked him if he can bring it again so they can work on some of the projects it has in it. All in all it is FUN 4 ALL ;)

5-0 out of 5 stars It is awsome to see educational toys such as these.
Educational toys such as these are going to give the kids of today an interest in technology so that they can become the scientists and engineers of tomorrow.

5-0 out of 5 stars Beep Beep Vaarrrrommmm rat-tat-tat-tat
Those are the noises my nephew, with some help from his father, was making with this kit after just a few minutes. We gave it to him for his 7th birthday and, though a bit young to go it alone at first, he is learning a lot and it is a great activity for him to enjoy with his parents, grandparents, etc.
It's a great toy AND educational tool.
He is at a stage where he wants to really figure out how things work and LOVES the kit and the oportunities for experimenting it offers.
While I was driving home from his birthday party he called my cell phone to let me listen as he talked into it and his voice came out on the radio.
It's a hit. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Incredibly Fun!!!
If you're still doubtful about buying this game due to negative reviews, read no more and Just Buy It. First of all Winning Eleven 8 can't possibly be compared with any Fifa edition. This game is exciting, fun, and most certainly realistic. Once you get control of a player, you can imagine it is you dribbling the ball and taking spectacular shots at goal at any angle you desire and however fast you want it to go. A great feature is that each player is given distinct and original skills. Pavel Nedved is unstoppable or if you like putting a bit of crazy speed, give the ball to Ronaldinho and even bust a "gambeta" here and there. I can continue writing all night long but then again you need time to pay for this game. One last thing, there is a bad aspect to it, it turns to be time consuming once your fully into it.

2-0 out of 5 stars The lack of licensing ruins it as always.
Like any other game in the sries winning eleven eight puts a strong emphasis on gameplay, and being a big fan of the sport i appreaciate that fact. But once again the lack of licensing brings the games presentation down along with visuals that cant compare to the fifa series. I have been buying both fifa and winning eleven 8 games side by side for a long time, and every year i enjoy fifa more. While i can understand why this game is said to be better then fifa and is pereffered by gamers it still doesnt work for a statistical buff like me who finds licensing to be an important part of ne soccer game.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best game ever
