Editorial Review

Toddlers love to hear their favorite nursery rhyme songs, and of coursethey love anything with sound effects and flashing lights. This electronicmusical toy is 45 inches long and 11 inches wide, with a large, one-octavekeyboard sporting a plastic handprint on each key and a red button above thatflashes when the key is played. The keyboard can be played in five differenttones: piano, bells, doggie barks, kitty meows, or birdie tweets, and in severalmodes: complete songs, free-play mode, or preprogrammed mode. The preprogrammedmode is an interesting feature that will help preschoolers (or their parents)learn to play the eight familiar songs. The tiny red light flashes, you playthat handprint, and follow along until--hey, you're making music! The musicalmat has a wipe-clean plastic surface, and it requires two AA batteries (notincluded). --Marcie Bovetz, mother and former children's librarian ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars No Good
I bought this for my daughters birthday and when we got it, it was a piece of junk the buttons worked for one day then the next day when you tried to push a cerain button it would give you a different noise or it would not work at all, the things are hard to push you have to really push hard on them, this toy is not worth it not even the amount they are asking for to be honest I think it is worth fifty cents, I am very disapointed in it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun toy
This was given to my 18 month old son last Christmas. He enjoyed playing with it daily for awhile. I recommend not putting this in the toy box. Now a year later it has some problems - it only plays when IT wants to. I do like this toy, but it needs to be well taken care of to last.

2-0 out of 5 stars nothing special
My daughter is a year old now, and has had this toy in her crib basically from the beginning. She's never really shown much interest in it at all, which is weird, because she loves most other toys that have music and lights and buttons to push. But this she barely plays with, even when I try to get her interested in it.

I think part of the problem might be that the keys are tough for a baby to distinguish (the whole thing just looks like one big piece of cloth), so it's hard for her to tell where she's supposed to push, or even that her pushing causes the sound and lights.Actually, now that she's old enough to understand the concept of a "button," she keeps trying to push on the lights themselves, because they look more like buttons than the keys do.

Also, the music's a little annoying. If you get this as a gift, it might be worth keeping, but I wouldn't run out and buy one.

3-0 out of 5 stars Nice but not spectacular
I really liked the idea of having a toy that my daughter could use from a very young age, and this piano seemed to fit the bill.I received one at my baby shower and immediately attached it to the foot of her cradle. My daughter is a big kicker, so she started using this piano when she was only a few weeks old.

I've never had a problem with the Kick n Play, and while I'm not sure my baby yet realizes that she's making it work by kicking it, she does kick it quite a bit when it's within reach. My big complaint is that the selection of music and other sounds that the piano makes aren't very good.On one setting, it plays several children's songs (instrumental only) - the sound quality is OK, but nothing special...certainly not as good as the sound on the Imaginarium mobiles. On another setting, it says an animal name when a key is kicked ("dog") and provides the sound of the animal (again, the sound quality of the animal sounds is pretty poor in my opinion).Another kick and a number is said, then a few bars of a song.Lights flash.Really, nothing too exciting. The songs are the same on every setting; the main difference is how much of each song is played and how many are played in a row.I find the one-word animal and number identification just plain boring.I think much more could have been done with the audio part of this toy, which is why I'm only giving it 3 stars.

3-0 out of 5 stars Doesn't hold interest
My son is 9 months old and is still not interested in this toy (he's has it since 3 months old). He'll play with it for a few minutes, but quickly looses interest.Maybe he will like it better when he's a little older... ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars My SON wouldn't stop playing with the store's floor model
We went to Toys R Us to find some sort of play equipment for our back yard.I had looked at things online, and we were pretty much going to get some sort of climber/slide combo, but then when we got to the store he saw the house and made a b-line for it!My husband wasn't too excited by the house because it's not "cool", but after seeing how much he loved it we knew we had to get it.Now, you should know that there were about 4 or 5 different play houses and the same amount of climbers/slides set up in this store, but even though he played a little on the others he always went back to the Naturally Playful cottage. So, we thought about it for a day or two since we still really want something for him to burn energy on (that will have to come later) and I went back by myself to get it.I learned through others reviews on play equipment that sometimes the boxes are just enormous.Good thing I did.We have a Lexus GX470 (their medium sized SUV) and even though I removed the third row of seats, the car seat, flipped down the second row, and was by myself, this thing would NOT fit in our car.We took the pieces out of the box and even then had to do some manuvering to get it in.So, just a warning! It is worth all that trouble though. My husband put it together in no time, and our son was immediately trying to play with it while he was assembling it.The only thing he had trouble with was the fact that he put one of the walls on backwards at first (that's what happens when you skim over directions!).Our son now wants to go outside all the time and play in his house. He even ate his breakfast there this morning because I couldn't get him inside!I was able to fit inside the house with ease and watch him eat.I am 5'9, weigh about 145lbs and I sat on a Step2 folding chair we bought to go with the house since there are no chairs inside it.Those little folding chairs are great! They felt so sturdy I wasn't worried about it buckling beneath me.Anyway, you need to buy chairs if you want some inside.Outside on the little 'patio' there are two built in seats that are attached to the little side walls. These don't seem as durable, and both tables have a sort of kick stand support that isn't so great. The tables can fold down if you want, but when they are up if your kid leans on them you can see it bend a lot.A previous reviewer said their kid broke the table, and I can see how this would happen. That's why I gave it four stars.Inside is a cute telephone that he loves, he constantly goes through the escape hatch in the fireplace, loves the clock inside, and likes to spin the nozzle on the faucet in the kitchen sink.My biggest piece of advice to you is think carefully about where you want it (inside vs. outside), because wherever you decide is where your child will always want to be!Definately worth the money.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Toy!
My parents bought this playhouse for our 18 month old son for Xmas 04', and it is the best gift he's ever gotten by far. Two of his little friends came over to our home and all three of them played inside for a long time. They were having such a blast! They kept going thru the front door and then crawling out the back door, over and over. I almost felt like joining them! The house is big enough to fit me, my husband, and our son inside. We keep this inside our house even though it takes up a ton of space, but it's worth it for now. My parents actually got lucky since they saved $50 off a sale for this playhouse.

4-0 out of 5 stars got the cottage
I researched and pondered a great deal and recently ended up buying this one for my 3 year old. Three adults put it together fairly easily. I also bought the Step 2 play mats to use as a floor and put lots of toy food and cooking utensils inside. My daughter seems to enjoy it. It is attractive; nice natural colors. The fireplace is cool. We put a potted flower beside the front door as her garden. Cute. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun Toy For Mom and Baby
I love this Sesame Street bath toy and so does my 15 month old daughter! It is so neat with the puzzle feature, something that helps us tidy up when it's time to get out of the bath.We make a game that the different toys must be put back on the island before my daughter gets out of the tub. What fun!As she gets older she will get more adept at it, right now I help her.She likes to make a waterfall with the tree and make Elmo zoom across the water.I love this toy so much I've given 2 as gifts!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars THE Best Tub Toy out there!
My daughter Riley received this toy for Christmas(I'm just a little late)I had to write this review because it truly is a great toy for the tub!It is great for imaginative play and was well thought out!No holes in figures so they can't get water inside and mildew like most tub toys. I highly recommend this for everyone's child!

5-0 out of 5 stars Never cry at rinsing hair again
I bought this for Christmas for my 16-month old son who HATED having his hair rinsed. He loves Elmo, so I thought I'd give this bathtub toy a try.INSTANT SUCCESS!I use the tree to rinse his hair and guess what, NO MORE TEARS!He happily plays with Elmo, Ernie and Lou and lets me rinse away. This toy is a must have for any toddler who loves Elmo.My son even takes the bathtub Elmo and Lou to bed for naps and nightime. We've had it for several months and no mold will grow on this thing.FANTASTIC!We dry each character off while drying my son off too and they just make bathtime, drying time and life happier for my little boy! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars A Must Have for Us!
This is fabulous! Our son has loved it since he got as a Christmas gift at the age of 3 months. It's great for tummy time, and now that he's sitting but still a bit wobbly he's got a cushy place if he happens to tumble over while sitting and playing. He's also taken several naps in this when we've been away from home. It comes with a handy travel bag which is nice to have. We get tons of complements on the mat and everyone wants to know where we got it. I love it! It's one of my favorites! Wish I had it with my first son.

5-0 out of 5 stars Love it
Best gift ever.I had it on our registry and our Aunt & Uncle bought it for us.Our son has been fascinated with all the visiuals on both sides. The mirror is great for tummy time, he looks up at himself giggles now. He also rolls around to grab at the different attached toys.(beware kitties love them too)Worth every penny.Washes up nicely when you put machine a gentle. Our son is in it every day for wiggle time.

4-0 out of 5 stars lots of options
At first my infant was not entertained. He cried when he was very young. I think that the colors were to stimulating. Over time he started to enjoy it more. After he started crawling and I discontinued using a changing table for saftey reasons, I started using this circle as a changing pad on a bed or on the floor. It is great for changing using either side. The side with the morror distracts him as well as the side with the attached toys. It keeps him still for the time it takes to change his diaper....otherwise a hard feat for an active pre-toddler. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Very durable!!
We bought this toy for my son's first birthday and he loves it! He loves the cause and effect of making the cars go down the ramp. It's extremly durable because he likes to try to stand on it, and it doesn't even buckle. Very well built!

4-0 out of 5 stars My daughter loves this!
My daughter just received this two days ago on her second birthday, and she has not stop playing with it since!I've never seen her so dedicated to one toy.Every morning when she wakes up, she runs straight to it and starts running cars up and down the ramps. My husband is impressed too with how sturdy this is.It would take a lot to break it.I highly recommend this toy!

1-0 out of 5 stars Very Disappointed (Esp. for the $$$)
After a few months with this walker, I am heading out the door to buy the $20 Little Tikes walker at Toys R Us. The Leap Frog walker is USELESS. The wheels move & spin WAY too easily... the walker can easily get away from your child; plus, any tiny bump or nudge and the music either starts or resets. The "piano keys" are not interactive at all, and neither is the spinning wheel... so basically, there is NOTHING for your child to play with here.

5-0 out of 5 stars Another Great Leap Frog Product !!!!!
This is a great walker. Our daughter is 9 months old and almost 22 lbs all the others walkers we tried out were flimsy and light weight , this one is super sturdy !! Just what she needed, the music and lights keep her occupied for quite awhile !! I read some of the other reviews of this product being too "fragile" I don't know were that is coming from because this is one of the sturdiest one I have ever seen !! Great product , a must have !!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Good, solid toy
My 11 month old weighs 22lbs, so I really needed something that would be solid and strong as he tries to learn to walk. Some of the walkers we'd use at play group or at friends' houses were too light, and when he'd push on them, he'd go flying forward. So I really, really appreciate this toy. It remains stable as he stands up, and moves at just the right speed when he pushes it. The music on it is pleasant, it has an on/off switch with volume control, and it has different settings. It isn't really a toy forhim to just sit there and play with it for a long period of time, because like some of the reviewers wrote, it has to be moving to really get it going and do a lot. I still give it 5 stars anyway, because I really appreciate it as a walker. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Good for older kids too!
I bought this toy when my daughter was a year old and she wasn't the least bit interested in it.If I wrote the review then, it would have been a mediorce one at best.I'm glad I waited.Once she was about two and a half, she began taking interest in the toy, pressing all the letters of the alphabet and singing the a-b-c song. She's three and a half now and still enjoys using it.She especially likes the setting with the songs. She presses the letter buttons and sings the words to the tunes she hears.

Some other good things about it:The toy is versatile. It can spin in it's holder, or be taken off and rolled around on the floor. There a few different settings, one that just says the letters, and another that plays tunes that start with that letter. On soft mode, it's a reasonable volume. There's also a band of red light that blinks on and off when a tune plays. It's very durable. It's been played with constantly for over a year and still looks brand new.

Though it's marketed to infants, toddlers would enjoy this toy too.I can't think of anything bad to say about it (except that loud mode is very loud) and would recommend it to parents with young children.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun and educational...
so what more could you want?I put this on my son's booster seat tray in its stand and even at 5 months he loves to spin it.
His grandfather thinks it is the best toy because of the fact that when the individual letters are pressed it says the letter or phonetically sounds them out depending on the mode its in.My son's grandmother found it on clearance for $7.00 and at that price I would say that it was a steal.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good toy for tots!

Editorial Review

Activity mats are a staple baby item in most households. They provide a safe, fun, and educationalenvironment where babies can lie, or sit, and entertain themselves. Tiny Love's award-winning deluxe mat depictsa riot of happy animals in Noah's Ark. Roosters, cows, giraffes, and even puppies will charm your baby.Acouple of squeaky, crinkly portholes hiding a cat and a lion add interest to this already jolly toy. Baby willlove the turtle mirror, rattling whale, jangling octopus, jingling rainbow, and the seahorse that sings "OldMacDonald." This mat will provide endless sensory stimulation and will build baby's language-learningfoundations. The mat and its arches fold up nicely, and the entire gym snaps together and travels easily.--Sandy Hirsch ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Investment
We were hesitant to spend $50 on an infant toy, but it was so worth it.My daughter stared, kicked, and rolled for many hours on this toy the first 6 months. The colors are great and she loved the accessories. She is now 9 months and I removed the toys. She now has them hanging on her car seat, stroller, and high chair. This is so versatile and well worth the money.

5-0 out of 5 stars My baby loves it!
I bought this for my baby when she was just over a month old.$50 seemed like a lot of money, but she loves it.She will lay on it and play for an hour, and she is only 2 months old.It allows me to get things done while she is safe & content. It is the best $50 I spent.I'd recommend it to anyone.

5-0 out of 5 stars Worth every penny!
This playmat is one of the best gifts the baby received! During the earlier months, he loved staring at the attachment toys, which encouraged him to reach & bat at things. Later, during tummy time, he discovered the crinkly pad and the bright colors on the mat, itself. We have also taken off the toys and attached them to his exersaucer, stroller, and carseat, for even portable fun. The rings that attached the toys to the gymini were also used to attach other toys with little loops. Therefore, we are still using the gymini (and different parts of it) at 7 months and will probably continue to do so. What a well-designed toy! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Long Life
I bought this bike for my eldest daughters 1st birthday ,when they first came out, about ten years ago! My youngest children, 4 and 3 love to ride it and it is still in great condition. It is so easy to ride and fun to push the kids when we go for walks. My son just got a fancy trike for his 3rd birthday and he still prefers to ride this one. His other one has heavy rubber tires making it harder for little ones to learn to petal. I am going to by one for my nephew for his 2nd birthday!

Snails have never ranked up there with horses in terms of animals kids are itching to ride on. But Stanley might be in a position to change a generation’s mind regarding these garden critters. He’s done up in bright reds, blues, and greens and sports little stripy antennae as he stands sturdily on wooden rockers. Stanley’s soft padded seat is also quite solid and features a seat belt so kids can ride in comfort and parents can feel confident knowing that their little ones have the most help available in staying upright. For a bit of extra flair, squeeze Stanley’s antenna to hear a loud and highly electronic version of "You Are My Sunshine." --Charlie Williams ... Read more

I bought this rocker for my nephew,he is a year old and he loves it.This rocker is the safest I have seen. The babies fit right into a cushioned seat.It is just great.

1-0 out of 5 stars Absolute RIP OFF
This has got to be the worst purchase I have made since my daughter was born. Not only does this "rocking" snail not have a seat belt it DOES NOT rock. The wooden rocking legs are built so that the snail can't rock back and forth and there is a divet in the legs so that it only allows for a short jerking motion. If you turn the snail on get ready because anytime anyone walks in the room the snail plays you are my sunshine. Very annoying and very useless toy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great fun
We bought this for our daughter when she was seven months old, and she loved it.She enjoys it more now at nine months.Children that visit us love the snail too.Recently we had a fourteen month old over that couldn't get enough. Our three year old niece even looks forward to coming over so she can ride the snail. The song is very cute, and the kids are so proud when they can make it go on their own.It is very safe and doesn't rock too wildly even if they try!I love that the seat has a back to it, but watch they little ones because they can still make a break for it.This is a high quality toy, and well worth it. ... Little ones with a knack for building and creative play will be drawn tothese lightweight and durable cardboard building blocks. A staple item in many preschools, this set can spark endless imaginative play as children buildlarge, life-size structures. Builders practice mathematical skills as they addthe number of blocks stacked on top of each other, and the various-sized blockscan facilitate a conceptual understanding of fractions. When kids aredevelopmentally ready, parents can encourage them to discover that one large redblock is the same size as two medium yellow blocks or four small blue blocks.Made from 50 percent recycled cardboard, the blocks have a smooth, water-resistant coating that's easy to clean. These blocks won a Parents' ChoiceClassic Award and a Dr. Toy Classic Award. One word of caution: Make surethere's enough storage space to hold all 40 blocks once assembled. --LaurenBernard, mother and elementary school teacher ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Large blocks are best
These are great, durable, fun cardboard blocks for your kids to build structures they can play in (for example, mine like to build walls under tables to make a fort or "rabbit hole" while they pretend they are rabbits, or they build towers around each other which they then love to crash down on their heads.)I like them because they are a nice physical toy that encourages the imagination. They are strong enough for kids to stand on (although I don't encourage it because they will weaken over time) and light enough that they aren't hurt if the blocks fall on them. And kids learn some spatial, balance, and construction concepts as well. Warning: assembly required, and you should take care when assembling to make sure you get them right (don't bend the cardboard in the wrong place or you will weaken them). Also, the best blocks are the larger red ones. The yellow ones are much harder to build with (no stability for height) and the blue (brick-sized) ones are nearly useless.I'm buying more of the red only, and I expect I will actually throw out the blue and yellow ones since they take up storage room but are pretty much useless. These blocks are expensive if you are going to buy enough of them. I recommend that your kids will need at least 30 red ones to really build things that they can play in (even building in an open-space brick-saving fashion)... and that gets costly. They can be stacked awayin a 2x3x4 area... it's helpful to cordon off a section of your room or have a big storage box that helps your kids figure out how to put them away.5 stars for fun and child development, but I only gave 4 stars due to the expense and useless smaller blocks included.

5-0 out of 5 stars Long lasting
These blocks have been in our church nursery for forty years! I played with these blocks when I was a child and now I am ordering new ones the all the children to enjoy for another forty years!

1-0 out of 5 stars What They Don't Tell You
I ordered these blocks for my great nephews for Christmas and when they arrived I was very disappointed to see that they required putting the blocks together. No where in the marketing material does it indicate that "assembly is required" for the indivual blocks.

I would never give a gift that requires this kind of assembly.I find the material to be misleading [...]. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Daddy likes this too....
My son Jacob has this toy and I probably enjoy it more than him. It's a musical instrument! It's a toy! It's both!I can enjoy playing "Mary had a little lamb" while he drools on it.(Well, he is 2.)Definitely a good purchase.

3-0 out of 5 stars Very cute, but some room for improvement
Like other reviewers have noted, it's too hard for a baby to use, and definitely too heavy for a small child to pick up, but my 4-month old really likes to sit in my lap while I play it for him. It's awfully cute, and would be adorable even if it wasn't a musical toy. However, I nearly sent it back at first because one or two of the notes (legs) are tougher to get a sound out of (the higher notes). The yellow leg on ours has to be squeezed *just right* in order to sound the note, and even at that, it squeaks rather weakly. I also wish it had come with instructions for playing more than 2 songs. All in all, it's a cute toy.

5-0 out of 5 stars So cute!
My daughter is 5 months old, and loves her octopus. She can't squeeze the legs to make music yet, but if we put it by her feet, she can kick to get the sounds going, and she laughs when she does it.She loves to hug it and stares at the colors-she also smiles at the happy face on the octopus. She cracks up when we make music with the legs...even though she can't play with it by herself, it's a great bonding toy for us to play with together. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great Gift
My daughter received this as a gift when she was 6 months old.She absolutely loves it.The colors and patterns are bright and cheery & I like the different textures of the birds. The handle is perfect for her little hands and she enjoys holding the birdhouse like a purse when she's not playing with it.(I love it because it doesn't make noise)

5-0 out of 5 stars I love it
My baby is only 10 weeks old (it is recommended to 6+ months), but we decided to buy the house anyway because it was irresistible to me when we were at the store (too cute), and my babyloved the birds!. At this time he is not interested in playing put and peek, but he held the birds and play with them for a looong time
The house comes with one plastic wall , opposite to this wall there is a green door, which remains closed if not held to be open, and two little round windows in the other 2 walls. One side of the roof opens completely, and has a little velcro strap to be closed (this I know will be difficult to the little ones to be used, because the strap is tiny and not so accesible) but the roof remains closed if the house is hold by the handle.
4 little cute birds, colorful and easy to grab for little hands, and very chewables! I have to say that two birds come with fabric little feet and the other 2 with kind of shoe laces strings, and these two seemto be loosing strands that could be swallowed by babies. I think there will be a moment in were I have to cut the feet of those two fellas.
The 4 birds come with a rattle inside them, nothing fancy.
I would say I really like this toy and my baby is having fun with it.
Only complaint is that the house seems more wrinkledin the plastic wall than in the pictures, and we tried to pick out the less wrinkled one.

5-0 out of 5 stars Lots of learning and playing options!
This is the best put in and take out toy! I (and my daughter) love that there is more than one way to take things in and out. At first my daughter loved pulling the birds through the hole in the roof, then she learned how to open the door, and keep it open ;) (this is a good one, the door flips closed if not held open this helps develop fine motor skills, I think.) And just recently she's learned to open the roof, which is a bit trickier. She likes to put the birds and ANYTHING else that will fit in it and then peek at it through the clear end. She carries it around all day filling and emptying it with anything and everything. I like that you can see through some sides and not others so some of the contents remain a surprise to little seekers. The 4 birds are very cute and full of many textures. They have a soft rattle which wouldn't disturb any one sitting near you in public (but I think different noises in each would be fun too, i.e. jingle, different rattles, etc.) Still, this has been well played with for the past 9 months and I expect it will still be out for many more.I think it is welll worth the bit higher price tag.Manhattan Toys are creative, cute, and fun! Kudos! ... Read more

Editorial Review

Babies will get a real physical and mental workout with this play gym. It's pretty much like all of the other models out there, but its stand-out is its versatility and diversity of features for infants at all stages. A kicking gym for infants is made of attractive objects than spin, light up, and make sounds with each tiny foot-fall. A Ferris wheel loaded with colorful balls spins overhead to create additional interest. Babies who can sit up can spin the Ferris wheel themselves, and watch it release the five balls down a tunneled ramp and out the side of the gym. This in turn sets off music and lights as the balls zip past noisy, spinning obstacles. It's not just fun and games, though: the activities are designed to develop motor skills, cognitive learning, and stimulation of the senses.Diane Beall ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Safty problem
This toy looked so great in the store, but we were not happy once we got it home.We read the box and it was misleading. The kick pad is just a plastic plate with a sticker on it.You can hit this toy anyplace and it will start to go.We had to hit it very hard to make it work at all and a young baby would more likely push it away than start it.The sounds are not the most plesent it's like one of those toys grandparents would buy to get back at their kids.It show the toys moving but it's not easy enough for a child to do even an older one and the balls that come off to roll down the ramp we could barly get off.I would expect there to be a nob or button to push to make them come off and roll down. This toy realy only does one thing the rest it like getting plastic balls. My son was 2 months old when we got it a little young for him then and he hated it.He would rather be on the floor with out a toy than that one, maybe the sounds :).he is now almost 4 months old and he plays with it for a very long time, I was surprised.
HOWEVER PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE TOY MAY NOT BE SAFE.THE BAR THAT YOU CAN LOWER FOR AN OLDER CHILD TO PLAY SITTING UP MOVES,IT WOULD BE VERY EASY FOR A CHILD TO GET THEIR FINGERS SMASHED.THE BOTTONS YOU USE TO LOWER THE BAR STICK OUT AND THERE IS A GAP BETWEEN IT AND THE BLUE BOTTOM WHEN THE RED BAR IS UP.IT CAN VERY EASILY ROCK FORWARD AND CATCH EVEN MY FINGER, MY SON CAN'T QUITE REACH IT BUT IT WON'T BE LONG AND AT SOME POINT HE COULD ROLL OVER TO IT.I found that putting a boppy pillow under him and the toy up to a wall keeps him from pushing away from the toy and his hands away from the bottons works for now.I would be watching while your child plays with this one.

We received this item as a gift, fortunately there was a gift receipt with it. The music, even on its lowest setting, is too loud, our baby seemed put off by it. Also, the hanging parts were too high for him to kick. The flashing lights didn't seem to interest him either. He lost interest in about 5 minutes and looked a bit irritated. Stick to a product like the Baby Einstein Play Gym, we have that and he's wild about it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful toy for my3 month old
We did find that the toy was a little high for a baby to play with so we improvised and sat him in his bouncy chair to play with it.He is so happy when he sits in his chair and playsthat he will sit there for an hour or two if we let him.He also likes to lay on his back on the floor and play with it but he likes sitting in the chair much better. So I would recommend this product to anyone. ... If you cross a red car with a plastic boat and combine the result withone of those big Victorian baby carriages, you get this entirely novel mode oftot transportation. This little car--32 inches long by 18 inches wide, andriding on 7-inch plastic wheels--has an integral plastic seat 9 inches off theground and can be powered by two little feet through the hole in the floor.Alternatively, raise the bandshell-style yellow nylon hood and push yourpreschooler around using the 38-inch-high metal handle that sticks up frombehind. 4-0 out of 5 stars Love this car
We got this car for our 14 month daughter for Christmas after researching the market to see what all is out there. We liked this one the best because we could push her around for walks and take the bottom out and let her push herself around. The buttons are fun for her to push, but her favorite is the conertable canopy she pulls it up and down and plays peek-a-boo with us.It was orginally going to be used for outside, but was compact enough to use inside during the cold months. She loves this car!She is now 18 months old and can get in and out of it by herself to let us know that she is ready to "drive the car".I like walking outside with her with this verses her wagon because you push instead of pull, so she is in front of me where I can watch her.

5-0 out of 5 stars Toot, Toot!
My 21 month old son loves this car. He received it as a Christmas gift and at first I wasn't too thrilledbecause we have a wagon we really enjoyed, and I figured that he would quickly lose interest in the car and it would end up ignored and taking up precious space. However - much as I enjoy our wagon - this has several advantages. The car is both sturdy and easy to handle. It manuevers around corners with great ease. In fact on inclimate days - we have been known to use it in the house w/out fear of bumping into walls because it turns so easily. I am also happy that my little one is seated in fron of me - unlike the wagon. This makes it much easier to see if he has tossed a sippy cup, pacifier, is about to lose his hat, or is attempting to stand up. These things are not always readily apparent when we use the wagon and he's being pulled behind me. Finally, our son loves pretending to drive. He turnes the steering wheel, honks the horn, and waves at all passers by!

1-0 out of 5 stars I HATE THIS TOY
First off it was sooo hard to put together and then it was cracked on the bottom so i had to send it bac and when i got the new one together it was not at all what i expectited!! The radio is horrible! - the handle that is suppose to let me push her stinks cause the front wheels go whereever they want to not where i want - and the same when she is trying to push it with her feet while she is in it. I hate it its worth a try for yourself. I def.dont think its worth the money tho. ... Read more

Young children will get the hang of hanging with this cute swing from Little Tikes. Its blue plastic body sports sturdy yellow shoulder straps and a red T-bar to keep babies and toddlers safe; the T-bar can be removed for older kids. Parents should make sure not to hang the swing above concrete or another hard surface, and they should check that the support structure is secure. (The instructions don't specify how to attach the swing to the support.) The swing holds a maximum weight of 50 pounds. --Andy Boynton ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Poor strap design
We purchased this swing 4 years ago.The strap design makes it extremely difficult to get children in and out quickly. After four years the straps are completely gone.My two boys (5 and 3) enjoy it now with the middle harnass tucked under; however, I am now shopping for a new swing to use with my 1-year-old.This swing is great for the older children, but I would not recommend it for small children who need to be strapped in simply because of how difficult the straps are to undo.

3-0 out of 5 stars Baby slouches
Like other reviewers, I purchased this swing because of the harness and the fact that it looked easy to get my child in and out. But my one year old slouches down in it a lot. It looks so uncomfortable. I just think it needs a couple design tweaks. I will probably return it for another swing.

5-0 out of 5 stars Haven't known anyone to NOT like this bear....
This was a must-have on my registery.I heard about it 13 years ago when my twin nieces were born. This bear was the only thing that would get the girls to fall asleep.I have recommended it to my sister-in-laws, who now also think it's the best thing to have!I did end up getting it, and it's even better than the one from 13 years ago!!It comes with a baby bear that you can actually insert the sound box into (from the mother bear) and use it when traveling. It's very soft and both bears have a velcro attachment to attach it to the crib. You can change the womb sound to classical music simply by flipping a switch on the sound box. This really is a great item to have.

5-0 out of 5 stars She loves it!
My daughter has the earlier version of the mommy bear (she was born in 1998). She is now 7 years old and still uses it along with other sleep toys that she uses on a rotating basis. She knows that this is her first bear that she had from day one and she says that she wants to keep it forever. The batteries last for a long time because it has an auto shut off feature.
I highly reccoment this product.

I just purchased this bear last week with my son already being 3 months old.I had heard about this bear from my mother-in-law and decided that it was time to give it a try.The first day I brought it home and placed it next to him while he was upset it calmed him almost instantly.Since then, I have taken it with me everywhere I go.It has allowed me extra time to do things I needed to do but was unable to do before due to his fussiness and crying. This bear is heaven sent! ... The pyramid-shaped Grip and Grab Rattle is made of sturdy, safety-tested plastic tubes in bright colors that are connected by clear plastic spheres. Each sphere contains a red bead, smaller beads move freely through the tubes when the rattle is shaken. So what's the big deal? You'll have to ask a baby. For some reason, they love this thing--won't put it down. They'll go to sleep to the sound of it being gently shaken in front of them, or will miraculously be distracted from the car-seat fussies. (Mini van dealers should include the Grip and Grab as a standard feature).

This Lamaze rattle also provides learning opportunities for babies, almost from birth. The tubes are about the diameter of an adult finger--perfect for grabbing with tiny hands, and later, for chomping with tiny gums and teeth. Early lessons in cause and effect and hand- eye coordination are taught when baby moves and the rattle shakes. Included in the packaging is a booklet about infant development and creative ideas on how to use the toy, as well as a U.S. lifetime warranty. Winner of several national awards, including a National Parenting Center Seal of Approval and a National Parenting Publications Honors Award. --Katherine Ferguson ... Read more

I have 2 daughters. One 3 and the other 5 months and both of them were and are captivated by this contraption. The 5 month old loves the sound the beads make and can literally watch them for an hour. I highly reccomend this toy to any first time mother or expecting mom. Put it on your List!!!!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars It's all about the noise!
Who cares if this toy encourages visual development or independent play? As far as my baby is concerned this toy Makes Noise. Lots of it. In fact, I think that if she'd learned the war-cry of the Rohirrim, she'd be doing that to accompany the violent shaking she gives the rattle. Raaaaarhhhhh. It's a bit like a one-six-month-old Maurauding Horde and has been for weeks. This rattle is the business. And why? Because It's Louder than all the other (wussy) rattles. Raaaarhhhh! ... Read more
