1-0 out of 5 stars Very Disappointed (Esp. for the $$$)
After a few months with this walker, I am heading out the door to buy the $20 Little Tikes walker at Toys R Us. The Leap Frog walker is USELESS. The wheels move & spin WAY too easily... the walker can easily get away from your child; plus, any tiny bump or nudge and the music either starts or resets. The "piano keys" are not interactive at all, and neither is the spinning wheel... so basically, there is NOTHING for your child to play with here.

5-0 out of 5 stars Another Great Leap Frog Product !!!!!
This is a great walker. Our daughter is 9 months old and almost 22 lbs all the others walkers we tried out were flimsy and light weight , this one is super sturdy !! Just what she needed, the music and lights keep her occupied for quite awhile !! I read some of the other reviews of this product being too "fragile" I don't know were that is coming from because this is one of the sturdiest one I have ever seen !! Great product , a must have !!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Good, solid toy
My 11 month old weighs 22lbs, so I really needed something that would be solid and strong as he tries to learn to walk. Some of the walkers we'd use at play group or at friends' houses were too light, and when he'd push on them, he'd go flying forward. So I really, really appreciate this toy. It remains stable as he stands up, and moves at just the right speed when he pushes it. The music on it is pleasant, it has an on/off switch with volume control, and it has different settings. It isn't really a toy forhim to just sit there and play with it for a long period of time, because like some of the reviewers wrote, it has to be moving to really get it going and do a lot. I still give it 5 stars anyway, because I really appreciate it as a walker. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Worth every penny!
Because this was such an expensive item I did my homework before purchasing the table. I looked at some cheaper tables to begin with but found that they couldn't come close to the Thomas table by Learning Curve. This table is made of solid wood and took me about 5 minutes to put together. I was able to get the playmat for free with the table through a promotion Toys R Us was having at the time of purchase. Another thing that sold me on the Thomas table was that this is the same table they have at Barrnes and Noble and you can imagine how many children play on that day after day. We have the table set up in our son's playroom since it is such a large piece. Unlike many other toys we have purchased in the past, this is one that we will save for years to come. They are expensive, but they are also made well and come with a lifetime guarantee. If you have a problem with one of their products you simply send it to them with a letter and within about 1-2 business weeks they will send you a brand new item. If you are looking to buy a train table I would highly recommend this one. Though it is more expensive, it is worth it in the long run. Why spend $80-$100 on a table that is only going to last a year or so when you can spend a little more and save it forever? One other hint...Michael's Arts and Crafts and A.C. Moore Craft Stores also carry a decent amount of the wooden Thomas toys. Look in your local paper for their 40% off coupons. They apply to Thomas and Friends which makes it a lot more affordable. :)

3-0 out of 5 stars $$$ TRAIN TABLE PRICE IS EXTREMELY TOO HIGH****
Hello, my son is 3 and just was newly introduced to Thomas, he loves it, there are so many trains to collect from 2004 and past years. This table is so over priced, we decided also to build one $60 for materials (all oak) and a few hours and its done, personally its beautiful and stained it looks like an expensive piece, (thanks to my brother-in-law builder and my husband), if you are not as lucky to have someone in your family build it for you here is a suggestion..get in touch with your local school, or the woodshop teacher and see if you can get one of the students to build it as a project (they get graded for this) and your helping that student learn, or get plans and build it yourself, dont have the saws? your local home store may cut the wood for you. Its just a suggestion because thomas stuff is great but I would rather spend my money on the trains (which is the REAL enjoyment. Hope this helps

3-0 out of 5 stars Time For Thomas
The Thomas train sets are great modern versions of the classic indestructible wooden train sets.Simple enough to avoid the toddler age frustrations of getting the cars to run on the track yet complex enough to engage a wide range of ages (up to and including Grandpas). All the stories help with the imagination part....the books & videos provide an endless source of adventures that can be acted out, although most kids are perfectly capable of inventing their own episodes.

Here is my advice, if you are trying to work your way through the maze of start-up options:

First of all, you can spend a fortune on a huge set....even if you can afford it, I would start with something small and give the child the joy of receiving a chain of small but intriguing presents over a long period of time.It fosters the joy of giving/receiving and helps teach them to come back again and again to the same toy...watching it grow, asking for specific items from the stories they hear, etc.Several reviewers suggest painting an old coffee table and this is a great idea.

I suggest the Figure 8 set (the most popular one) or if you want to spend a little bit more, the Conductors Figure 8 set. Both are complex enough to be interesting, but simple enough to give lots of room for growth.Almost immediately I would add a new present of one of the inexpensive engines (you can ask the child which story they like best and get that engine for them....or buy the engine to go with the video or book in the same gift)....these would be Percy The Small Engine, Bill The Yellow Engine, Treavor, (or a bit more $ for:) The Lady Engine, James The Red Engine, Gordon The Express Engine (he's one of the best stories, I think), or Henry The Green Engine.

Now for the good stuff!Give it a month or so, and then reward the child with something really cool like the Barrel Loader or Rusty the Construction 3 Car Set.

I honestly can't see the point in the huge multi hundred dollar system sets.If you want to impress the neighbors or something, go for it, but I'm telling you.....most kids will enjoy a large number of small thoughtful gifts, not a "keep-up-with-the-Jones" effort on your part.

Good behavior can be rewarded with a pick-your-own trip to the store (there are sometimes when a real time shopping trip can't be beat)

By the way, the Thomas stories are based on real restored engines that run in England on the Mid-Hants Railway Watercress line near Winchester (you can read about them an even plan a trip to ride on the real Thomas trains by checking outwatercressline.co.uk).They are a day trip from the London rail stations, although I recommend using a B&B in the Winchester area and staying overnight if you decide to go.Winchester was the center of the old Saxon kingdom of Wessex of King Alfred as well as a major early medieval site (the Cathedral has the tombs of many of the Saxon Kings as well as Jayne Austen and Izaac Walton and it was where Richard the Lionhearted was crowned.)

5-0 out of 5 stars Great kitchen to grow with your little girl!
This was a gift for my little girl's 1st birthday. She is about to turn two and this kitchen is still played with everyday! She now makes the sound of water coming out of the faucet and cooks for me on the stove.Perfect size!I think that she will be able to use it for a few more years yet.

5-0 out of 5 stars My daughter loves it and so does my wallet!
I did alot of research before purchasing this kitchen. I did not want one that made numerous sounds (I want my daughter to use her own imagination). This kitchen is perfect. She loves the full size frig. She is tall for her age 2 1/2 and this kitchen is perfect. I read reviews that it is small and it isn't!!! The dimensions are listed. If it were any bigger your child might as well just play in the kitchen with their parent... :-) This play kitchen is sturdy and doesn't have a bunch of tiny places for dirt and bacteria to hide.LOVE IT! Highly recommended it...
(also I found it very cheap on the walmart website)

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Kitchen Set!!!
My 2 year old girl LOVES this kitchen. She is always opening and closing the doors. It's held up great considering she is really rough on her toys. There are no nooks and cranies for the dirt to get into inside, so it's easy to clean. She drew with crayon on the outside, and I just used some cleaner and washed it right off. I purchased this about 3 months ago, and it was twice the price it is now. I wish I knew it would go down that much, but oh well. She loves it and it occupies her while I'm making dinner. It's small enough not to be intrusive in my kitchen, either. I thought it might be bigger, but it's just right. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Long Life
I bought this bike for my eldest daughters 1st birthday ,when they first came out, about ten years ago! My youngest children, 4 and 3 love to ride it and it is still in great condition. It is so easy to ride and fun to push the kids when we go for walks. My son just got a fancy trike for his 3rd birthday and he still prefers to ride this one. His other one has heavy rubber tires making it harder for little ones to learn to petal. I am going to by one for my nephew for his 2nd birthday!

4-0 out of 5 stars Years of use
We bought this for my first son four years ago. He is now five and still rides this. He even rides it together with my younger son (almost 4). This plastic tricycle is very durable, it has been thru a LOT. It rides very well on the wooden deck.

5-0 out of 5 stars She loves it :)
We bought this bed for our little princess and she adores it. She loves turning the light on and off, peeking through the windows and climbing all over it. I read the reviews and wasn't sure how the assembly would be but it went smoothly and was pretty quick. I've even slept in the bed with her for a couple hours and found it to be most comfy:). The high sides are great, she did fall out a couple times in the first week but we put a pillow on the floor under the sidestep so it was a cushioned landing and she went right on sleeping. We're very happy with our little fire engine.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Bed, but hard to understand instructions
My son will be 2 in a couple of weeks and we bought the bed for his birthday. I spent 3 hours trying to put it together. With the exception of telling you what and how many screws to put in, the instructions are only pictures. Not everyone can just look at a picture and be able to put something together. My son loves the bed, especially the light. I laid in it tonight with him and I'm not a small person, and it held up just fine.

5-0 out of 5 stars Finally stays out of my bed!
This bed is straight from heaven! My twenty-month old son finally started to actually stay in his own bed. He never liked his crib and he is so tall that even with the mattress on the last notch he could still tople out of it. So, he slept with us. Needless to say, he loves his new bed so much he stays in it when he wakes up in the night. I know that if he does wake up quietly, he won't hurt himself trying to get out. The nightlight on a timer is a great idea, turning off after five min. Our older three sons love it too. It holds up to all of them playing in it during the day. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Snails have never ranked up there with horses in terms of animals kids are itching to ride on. But Stanley might be in a position to change a generation’s mind regarding these garden critters. He’s done up in bright reds, blues, and greens and sports little stripy antennae as he stands sturdily on wooden rockers. Stanley’s soft padded seat is also quite solid and features a seat belt so kids can ride in comfort and parents can feel confident knowing that their little ones have the most help available in staying upright. For a bit of extra flair, squeeze Stanley’s antenna to hear a loud and highly electronic version of "You Are My Sunshine." --Charlie Williams ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars love it
I bought this rocker for my nephew,he is a year old and he loves it.This rocker is the safest I have seen. The babies fit right into a cushioned seat.It is just great.

1-0 out of 5 stars Absolute RIP OFF
This has got to be the worst purchase I have made since my daughter was born. Not only does this "rocking" snail not have a seat belt it DOES NOT rock. The wooden rocking legs are built so that the snail can't rock back and forth and there is a divet in the legs so that it only allows for a short jerking motion. If you turn the snail on get ready because anytime anyone walks in the room the snail plays you are my sunshine. Very annoying and very useless toy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great fun
We bought this for our daughter when she was seven months old, and she loved it.She enjoys it more now at nine months.Children that visit us love the snail too.Recently we had a fourteen month old over that couldn't get enough. Our three year old niece even looks forward to coming over so she can ride the snail. The song is very cute, and the kids are so proud when they can make it go on their own.It is very safe and doesn't rock too wildly even if they try!I love that the seat has a back to it, but watch they little ones because they can still make a break for it.This is a high quality toy, and well worth it. ... Editorial Review

Little ones with a knack for building and creative play will be drawn tothese lightweight and durable cardboard building blocks. A staple item in many preschools, this set can spark endless imaginative play as children buildlarge, life-size structures. Builders practice mathematical skills as they addthe number of blocks stacked on top of each other, and the various-sized blockscan facilitate a conceptual understanding of fractions. When kids aredevelopmentally ready, parents can encourage them to discover that one large redblock is the same size as two medium yellow blocks or four small blue blocks.Made from 50 percent recycled cardboard, the blocks have a smooth, water-resistant coating that's easy to clean. These blocks won a Parents' ChoiceClassic Award and a Dr. Toy Classic Award. One word of caution: Make surethere's enough storage space to hold all 40 blocks once assembled. --LaurenBernard, mother and elementary school teacher ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Large blocks are best
These are great, durable, fun cardboard blocks for your kids to build structures they can play in (for example, mine like to build walls under tables to make a fort or "rabbit hole" while they pretend they are rabbits, or they build towers around each other which they then love to crash down on their heads.)I like them because they are a nice physical toy that encourages the imagination. They are strong enough for kids to stand on (although I don't encourage it because they will weaken over time) and light enough that they aren't hurt if the blocks fall on them. And kids learn some spatial, balance, and construction concepts as well. Warning: assembly required, and you should take care when assembling to make sure you get them right (don't bend the cardboard in the wrong place or you will weaken them). Also, the best blocks are the larger red ones. The yellow ones are much harder to build with (no stability for height) and the blue (brick-sized) ones are nearly useless.I'm buying more of the red only, and I expect I will actually throw out the blue and yellow ones since they take up storage room but are pretty much useless. These blocks are expensive if you are going to buy enough of them. I recommend that your kids will need at least 30 red ones to really build things that they can play in (even building in an open-space brick-saving fashion)... and that gets costly. They can be stacked awayin a 2x3x4 area... it's helpful to cordon off a section of your room or have a big storage box that helps your kids figure out how to put them away.5 stars for fun and child development, but I only gave 4 stars due to the expense and useless smaller blocks included.

5-0 out of 5 stars Long lasting
These blocks have been in our church nursery for forty years! I played with these blocks when I was a child and now I am ordering new ones the all the children to enjoy for another forty years!

1-0 out of 5 stars What They Don't Tell You
I ordered these blocks for my great nephews for Christmas and when they arrived I was very disappointed to see that they required putting the blocks together. No where in the marketing material does it indicate that "assembly is required" for the indivual blocks.

I would never give a gift that requires this kind of assembly.I find the material to be misleading [...]. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Daddy likes this too....
My son Jacob has this toy and I probably enjoy it more than him. It's a musical instrument! It's a toy! It's both!I can enjoy playing "Mary had a little lamb" while he drools on it.(Well, he is 2.)Definitely a good purchase.

3-0 out of 5 stars Very cute, but some room for improvement
Like other reviewers have noted, it's too hard for a baby to use, and definitely too heavy for a small child to pick up, but my 4-month old really likes to sit in my lap while I play it for him. It's awfully cute, and would be adorable even if it wasn't a musical toy. However, I nearly sent it back at first because one or two of the notes (legs) are tougher to get a sound out of (the higher notes). The yellow leg on ours has to be squeezed *just right* in order to sound the note, and even at that, it squeaks rather weakly. I also wish it had come with instructions for playing more than 2 songs. All in all, it's a cute toy.

5-0 out of 5 stars So cute!
My daughter is 5 months old, and loves her octopus. She can't squeeze the legs to make music yet, but if we put it by her feet, she can kick to get the sounds going, and she laughs when she does it.She loves to hug it and stares at the colors-she also smiles at the happy face on the octopus. She cracks up when we make music with the legs...even though she can't play with it by herself, it's a great bonding toy for us to play with together. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great Gift
My daughter received this as a gift when she was 6 months old.She absolutely loves it.The colors and patterns are bright and cheery & I like the different textures of the birds. The handle is perfect for her little hands and she enjoys holding the birdhouse like a purse when she's not playing with it.(I love it because it doesn't make noise)

5-0 out of 5 stars I love it
My baby is only 10 weeks old (it is recommended to 6+ months), but we decided to buy the house anyway because it was irresistible to me when we were at the store (too cute), and my babyloved the birds!. At this time he is not interested in playing put and peek, but he held the birds and play with them for a looong time
The house comes with one plastic wall , opposite to this wall there is a green door, which remains closed if not held to be open, and two little round windows in the other 2 walls. One side of the roof opens completely, and has a little velcro strap to be closed (this I know will be difficult to the little ones to be used, because the strap is tiny and not so accesible) but the roof remains closed if the house is hold by the handle.
4 little cute birds, colorful and easy to grab for little hands, and very chewables! I have to say that two birds come with fabric little feet and the other 2 with kind of shoe laces strings, and these two seemto be loosing strands that could be swallowed by babies. I think there will be a moment in were I have to cut the feet of those two fellas.
The 4 birds come with a rattle inside them, nothing fancy.
I would say I really like this toy and my baby is having fun with it.
Only complaint is that the house seems more wrinkledin the plastic wall than in the pictures, and we tried to pick out the less wrinkled one.

5-0 out of 5 stars Lots of learning and playing options!
This is the best put in and take out toy! I (and my daughter) love that there is more than one way to take things in and out. At first my daughter loved pulling the birds through the hole in the roof, then she learned how to open the door, and keep it open ;) (this is a good one, the door flips closed if not held open this helps develop fine motor skills, I think.) And just recently she's learned to open the roof, which is a bit trickier. She likes to put the birds and ANYTHING else that will fit in it and then peek at it through the clear end. She carries it around all day filling and emptying it with anything and everything. I like that you can see through some sides and not others so some of the contents remain a surprise to little seekers. The 4 birds are very cute and full of many textures. They have a soft rattle which wouldn't disturb any one sitting near you in public (but I think different noises in each would be fun too, i.e. jingle, different rattles, etc.) Still, this has been well played with for the past 9 months and I expect it will still be out for many more.I think it is welll worth the bit higher price tag.Manhattan Toys are creative, cute, and fun! Editorial Review

Babies will get a real physical and mental workout with this play gym. It's pretty much like all of the other models out there, but its stand-out is its versatility and diversity of features for infants at all stages. A kicking gym for infants is made of attractive objects than spin, light up, and make sounds with each tiny foot-fall. A Ferris wheel loaded with colorful balls spins overhead to create additional interest. Babies who can sit up can spin the Ferris wheel themselves, and watch it release the five balls down a tunneled ramp and out the side of the gym. This in turn sets off music and lights as the balls zip past noisy, spinning obstacles. It's not just fun and games, though: the activities are designed to develop motor skills, cognitive learning, and stimulation of the senses.Diane Beall ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Safty problem
This toy looked so great in the store, but we were not happy once we got it home.We read the box and it was misleading. The kick pad is just a plastic plate with a sticker on it.You can hit this toy anyplace and it will start to go.We had to hit it very hard to make it work at all and a young baby would more likely push it away than start it.The sounds are not the most plesent it's like one of those toys grandparents would buy to get back at their kids.It show the toys moving but it's not easy enough for a child to do even an older one and the balls that come off to roll down the ramp we could barly get off.I would expect there to be a nob or button to push to make them come off and roll down. This toy realy only does one thing the rest it like getting plastic balls. My son was 2 months old when we got it a little young for him then and he hated it.He would rather be on the floor with out a toy than that one, maybe the sounds :).he is now almost 4 months old and he plays with it for a very long time, I was surprised.
HOWEVER PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE TOY MAY NOT BE SAFE.THE BAR THAT YOU CAN LOWER FOR AN OLDER CHILD TO PLAY SITTING UP MOVES,IT WOULD BE VERY EASY FOR A CHILD TO GET THEIR FINGERS SMASHED.THE BOTTONS YOU USE TO LOWER THE BAR STICK OUT AND THERE IS A GAP BETWEEN IT AND THE BLUE BOTTOM WHEN THE RED BAR IS UP.IT CAN VERY EASILY ROCK FORWARD AND CATCH EVEN MY FINGER, MY SON CAN'T QUITE REACH IT BUT IT WON'T BE LONG AND AT SOME POINT HE COULD ROLL OVER TO IT.I found that putting a boppy pillow under him and the toy up to a wall keeps him from pushing away from the toy and his hands away from the bottons works for now.I would be watching while your child plays with this one.

1-0 out of 5 stars skip it
We received this item as a gift, fortunately there was a gift receipt with it. The music, even on its lowest setting, is too loud, our baby seemed put off by it. Also, the hanging parts were too high for him to kick. The flashing lights didn't seem to interest him either. He lost interest in about 5 minutes and looked a bit irritated. Stick to a product like the Baby Einstein Play Gym, we have that and he's wild about it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful toy for my3 month old
We did find that the toy was a little high for a baby to play with so we improvised and sat him in his bouncy chair to play with it.He is so happy when he sits in his chair and playsthat he will sit there for an hour or two if we let him.He also likes to lay on his back on the floor and play with it but he likes sitting in the chair much better. So I would recommend this product to anyone. ... If you cross a red car with a plastic boat and combine the result withone of those big Victorian baby carriages, you get this entirely novel mode oftot transportation. This little car--32 inches long by 18 inches wide, andriding on 7-inch plastic wheels--has an integral plastic seat 9 inches off theground and can be powered by two little feet through the hole in the floor.Alternatively, raise the bandshell-style yellow nylon hood and push yourpreschooler around using the 38-inch-high metal handle that sticks up frombehind. The "cockpit" is fully equipped with steering wheel, beeping "horn," anignition key that turns, a gear shift, and various battery-powered soundeffects. Adult assembly is required. --Richard Farr ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Love this car
We got this car for our 14 month daughter for Christmas after researching the market to see what all is out there. We liked this one the best because we could push her around for walks and take the bottom out and let her push herself around. The buttons are fun for her to push, but her favorite is the conertable canopy she pulls it up and down and plays peek-a-boo with us.It was orginally going to be used for outside, but was compact enough to use inside during the cold months. She loves this car!She is now 18 months old and can get in and out of it by herself to let us know that she is ready to "drive the car".I like walking outside with her with this verses her wagon because you push instead of pull, so she is in front of me where I can watch her.

5-0 out of 5 stars Toot, Toot!
My 21 month old son loves this car. He received it as a Christmas gift and at first I wasn't too thrilledbecause we have a wagon we really enjoyed, and I figured that he would quickly lose interest in the car and it would end up ignored and taking up precious space. However - much as I enjoy our wagon - this has several advantages. The car is both sturdy and easy to handle. It manuevers around corners with great ease. In fact on inclimate days - we have been known to use it in the house w/out fear of bumping into walls because it turns so easily. I am also happy that my little one is seated in fron of me - unlike the wagon. This makes it much easier to see if he has tossed a sippy cup, pacifier, is about to lose his hat, or is attempting to stand up. These things are not always readily apparent when we use the wagon and he's being pulled behind me. Finally, our son loves pretending to drive. He turnes the steering wheel, honks the horn, and waves at all passers by!

1-0 out of 5 stars I HATE THIS TOY
First off it was sooo hard to put together and then it was cracked on the bottom so i had to send it bac and when i got the new one together it was not at all what i expectited!! The radio is horrible! - the handle that is suppose to let me push her stinks cause the front wheels go whereever they want to not where i want - and the same when she is trying to push it with her feet while she is in it. I hate it its worth a try for yourself. I def.dont think its worth the money tho. ... Read more

Young children will get the hang of hanging with this cute swing from Little Tikes. Its blue plastic body sports sturdy yellow shoulder straps and a red T-bar to keep babies and toddlers safe; the T-bar can be removed for older kids. Parents should make sure not to hang the swing above concrete or another hard surface, and they should check that the support structure is secure. (The instructions don't specify how to attach the swing to the support.) The swing holds a maximum weight of 50 pounds. --Andy Boynton ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Poor strap design
We purchased this swing 4 years ago.The strap design makes it extremely difficult to get children in and out quickly. After four years the straps are completely gone.My two boys (5 and 3) enjoy it now with the middle harnass tucked under; however, I am now shopping for a new swing to use with my 1-year-old.This swing is great for the older children, but I would not recommend it for small children who need to be strapped in simply because of how difficult the straps are to undo.

3-0 out of 5 stars Baby slouches
Like other reviewers, I purchased this swing because of the harness and the fact that it looked easy to get my child in and out. But my one year old slouches down in it a lot. It looks so uncomfortable. I just think it needs a couple design tweaks. I will probably return it for another swing.

5-0 out of 5 stars Haven't known anyone to NOT like this bear....
This was a must-have on my registery.I heard about it 13 years ago when my twin nieces were born. This bear was the only thing that would get the girls to fall asleep.I have recommended it to my sister-in-laws, who now also think it's the best thing to have!I did end up getting it, and it's even better than the one from 13 years ago!!It comes with a baby bear that you can actually insert the sound box into (from the mother bear) and use it when traveling. It's very soft and both bears have a velcro attachment to attach it to the crib. You can change the womb sound to classical music simply by flipping a switch on the sound box. This really is a great item to have.

5-0 out of 5 stars She loves it!
My daughter has the earlier version of the mommy bear (she was born in 1998). She is now 7 years old and still uses it along with other sleep toys that she uses on a rotating basis. She knows that this is her first bear that she had from day one and she says that she wants to keep it forever. The batteries last for a long time because it has an auto shut off feature.
I highly reccoment this product.

I just purchased this bear last week with my son already being 3 months old.I had heard about this bear from my mother-in-law and decided that it was time to give it a try.The first day I brought it home and placed it next to him while he was upset it calmed him almost instantly.Since then, I have taken it with me everywhere I go.It has allowed me extra time to do things I needed to do but was unable to do before due to his fussiness and crying. This bear is heaven sent! ... Dora the Explorer, "Nick Jr.'s" doe-eyed, Mexican sojourner, converses in Spanish and English as a doll as naturally as a cartoon. From simple, one-word translations to the "Happy Song," Dora speaks and sings using over 30, clearly pronounced, easy-to-learn words. She interacts with four included friends--a star, baby bird, butterfly and frog--who respond with movement, light and sound (via microchips) when placed in her right hand. Dora's body is designed to sit rather than stand (she has a very flat bum and solid posture), so she's actually built to be conversational. Just position her on the edge of a chair and the fun begins. If kids still need something to coddle, Dora has pliable extremities, and her pretty, brown hair can be combed. Her clothes, however, are not removable. Required: 4 "AA" batteries.--Diane Beall ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Very Disappointed!!!!
Half the time Dora doesn't even know what little friend she's holding ,that is if my daughter can find them!!! Most of the time Dora repeats her words over and over and over again like a broken record!! She is a huge Dora fan but has lost all interest in this toy. Wish I could get my money back.

4-0 out of 5 stars For Dora Fans
I bought this for my girlfriend's 3 year old and she absolutely loves it. She takes it with her to school every day. She already learned the little song that Dora sings and knows how to switch Dora's friends on the palm of her hand, herself. It's a good idea to keep Dora's friends always in your sight because once lost the doll will loose some of it's coolness. But I'm happy that I could make a 3 year old jump for joy. Great gift idea for a little Dora fan.

1-0 out of 5 stars This toy is a waste of money....do not buy it!
After opening this toy that Santa brought for my 3 year old (no small feat with the master degree holding packaging engineers securing each and every extremity and accessory piece with a wire), and playing with it for a few minutes, I immediately started to wonder why I couldn't get the toy to say the 30 phrases the box promised. My husband suggested that maybe there is a Spanish mode, but there is no "Spanish" button to be found.Additionally, I too thought for the price paid, the manufacturer could have included Dora's backpack to keep her "friends" in.
As another reviewer stated, I can only get the doll to say 8 phrases unless hola and adios count each as 1, then we're up to 10.
Furthermore, the weight of this doll, if launched, will surely break a window, dent a wood floor or cause a concussion in an innocent sibling standing by.
It should go without saying that this is going back as it doesn't do what is promised on the package. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Puzzle for Little Ones
My 28 month old son got this puzzle for Christmas and loves it.He put it together the first time out of the box himself. It is the first thing he does every morning and then several times a day.My almost 5 year old likes it too. It is not as sturdy as the Melissa & Doug floor puzzles, but it still really sturdy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Nice picture making for an easier puzzle
My 2 year old daughter has this puzzle and thinks its wonderful.

Unlike many puzzles, with just one character on it, the picture is brilliant having lots of different trains, etc on it.It is easy to fit togehter, with parts of a different character or scene on every piece. She can easily put Thomas, the sheds, Harold, etc together thus eventually making the whole puzzle.

This is by far her favourite puzzle. For one, it's Thomas! And for 2, it's well-made and 'easy' to work out how to put together.

5-0 out of 5 stars Most Beloved Toy
My son who just turned 4 years old in December received this for Christmas.I'm amazed at the beauty and durability of the pieces. He put it together about three times (with help) the first time we opened it!I never seen him so excited about a toy and to my greater surprise--a puzzle! Each time he placed a new piece in (sometimes with my assistance and sometimes not), he'd ask me to turn around and then ask me to look. When I looked I praised him for his accomplishment and he squealed with excitement. He literally jumped up and down almost after each piece was placed! He told me this was his favorite gift for Christmas and believe me he had quite a few more that were more expensive.I'll be buying more Thomas puzzles from this company in the near future as I'm very impressed. ... This colorful car collection develops motor skills and hand-eye coordination while your child makes important discoveries about sorting and strategy. There are four vehicles, numbered 1 through 4, of graduatedsizes: a rattling green sports car, a blue police car with a revolving roof light, a yellow school bus with an opening sunroof, and a red fire truck with an adjustable clicking ladder. The vehicles can be rolledacross the floor, and then stacked--ever so carefully--atop each other, and finally all nested inside the fire truck. Vehicles only nest or stack completely when arranged in proper order of size and number. Made of sturdy plastic, these toys can be dipped in warm sudsy water for easy cleaning. --Kathryn Gustafson ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Trucks!
We bought these trucks for our 15 mo. old daughter and 4 mo. old son- We love them! They are nesting which is fun for our daughter to look underneath the trucks to find the next one or they can stack one on top of the other to make a tower.Perfect first trucks! And they aren't too big- a perfect size!

4-0 out of 5 stars MOMMY loves this toy.
I saw these on sale at a discount store and couldn't pass up the price. I bought them for my 8 month old daughter. She plays with them frequently. I like them because we can play peek-a-boo by putting items underneath them. Because they are built open underneath, she can grab them easy. She likes the activities on each little car. They also pack very easily for taking some toys out of the house because they nest. I know that she is going to really play with these for years. When we take them places, other kids are very attracted to them. One little boy, age 2, played with them for 30 minutes in the church nursery, stacking them and rolling them. Another boy was 5 years old and he was really into stacking them and identifying the numbers on them. My only concern is that the wheels are held on by a plastic pins and I'm hoping that they don't break. However, you can usually count on FP to make toys that last. My husband is happy because he didn't want me to get one more thing that takes batteries and makes noise!

5-0 out of 5 stars Maybe the perfect toy
This toy is terrific. It stacks, rolls, and the cars fit inside each other neatly. The three largest cars have a simple moving part on top; the smalles car rattles. No noises, no batteries.Just simple activities a young child can do his or herself. It's marvelously elegant. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Phonics Radio is great!
I purchased the Phonics Radio for my daughter because she seemed interested in learning her letters & loves music. When she first started playing with it, she was only pushing buttons to hear the music. Now that she is in preschool, she is making the connection to the letters in the radio with her ABC's.She loves this toy & takes it in the car so she can have her own music. That's a little annoying since I'm way over the ABC's song, but she's happy! We use this together with the Phonics Fridge Magnet set.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun Toy Radio
I bought this for my daughter when she was two years old and she immediately loved it.She loved the blinking lights and the songs for each of the letters. It also identifies each letter with an example word and plays a few other tunes, like "Old MacDonald Had A Farm".There are two volume settings, loud and soft, and soft is pretty reasonable, while loud isn't super loud either. The toy is very durable.Even a child who is rough with toys would have a hard time breaking it.

The only thing my daughter doesn't like about it is the games.I think the only minus for parents would be they the tunes might get stuck in their heads. It's awfully embarrassing to find yourself singing "The letter B really swings/It's the song it sings!" while at work.Other parents might understand, but everyone else will look at you funny.

Overall, I would recommend this for parents with toddlers.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not a good toy for phonics
My son got this toy for Christmas just before he turned 2.He loves listening to the few songs that are at the end, but otherwise, the toy is useless. It is very hard for me to understand the differences between some of the letters- I have to hear what word it's using as an example. It's a fun toy to tote around and listen to the songs, but as a learning device, it just isn't as good as other leap frog products. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Makes tummy time easier
My baby hated to be on her tummy, but all nurses insist it is critical in baby development.I would put this inchworm under her elbows and prop her up on it and she was much more comfortable.I also wrap it around her head as a head rest in her car seat. It's her most-used toy.She loves the colors and sounds it makes.

3-0 out of 5 stars my son isn't very interested
My son has had this toy since he was 3 months old and has never been very interested in it.( he is now 9 months) You can barely hear the music it plays. That is the only feature I really don't like about this toy.

3-0 out of 5 stars She's just not interested!
This is a cute toy, but our 6 month old has yet to be interested in it.Its large size makes it difficult to hold for small babies.I know it's gotten many good reviews, so I'll keep trying... just know that very young babies may not get much use out of it! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars only one bad thing
I love everything execptTHE HANDLE BAR WOBBLES. WHEN SHE DOSENT NEED IT ANYMORE THEN I will be 100 % happy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Just as great as other reviewers said
After reading past reviews, we decided to get this trike for our 2.5-yr old.It is everything and more than I expected! The canopy can be up or down and the front wheel locks if you want.My daughter already has a big-wheel like trike and I was tired of bending over to steer it for her, as it was very difficult for her to pedal uphill in the slightest.

My daughter is short, compared to most other 2.5yr olds (34") and she barely reaches the pedals. She cannot yet pedal herself because her one foot comes off the pedal when she steers in the opposite direction. However, we now go on daily walks and she leaves her feet to go round and round on the pedals as I push, so she is learning and chants "pedal, pedal".She quickly got the hang of steering, which was NOT the case with her bigwheel-like trike and her batter-powered atv.

When the front wheel is locked, it does not go perfectly straight when you push it.Also, none of the wheels turn when the front is locked, so you have to pick up the trike a little, in order to turn it.Nothing is perfect, but I don't see a real need to lock the front wheel, anyway.

Great job Huffy!

5-0 out of 5 stars 2 year old daughter LOVES IT!!
I bought this trike for my daughters 2nd birthday. I am so glad that I went with this one instead of the others that I was looking into. Their is no way for any wires to get striped by locking out the handle bars on this trike! Great idea Huffy!! The bell is easy for my daughter to use, and everyone knows when she is coming. She really loves the waterbottle and has to fill it and put it in the pouch before we go out for a ride. It is the perfect height, and she can get on and off all by herself. But is has the added feature of a seatbelt, so I don't have to worry about her just jumping off at any time. This was the perfect birthday present for my little princess! ... Read more
