5-0 out of 5 stars Great Truck!!!
We bought this truck for our 1 year old son yesterday. He loves it. He has been pushing it around all day. It is very durable and my future grandchildren will probaly play with this. It is totaly worth the money. Plus it is big enough that you can put your child in it and push it around. With adult supervision only. I am also going to use this for my sons second birthday party, I am going to put the cake in the back of it because it is a construction theme.

5-0 out of 5 stars Nice Truck!
We bought this for our 16 month old son's Christmas present, after much deliberation. We bought this truck, instead of a softer, all plastic one for several reasons.
The metal(steel?) bed has rolled edges, and very few corners. It's coated with some kind of enamel, so it should last awhile.
The rest of the truck is made of some kind of really heavy plastic; I can't imagine a child being able to break it if they tried. The tippy part of the bed is suspended above the truck, to leave about an inch of space, making it almost impossible to pinch little fingers. It's big enough for my almost three year old to sit in, and I can hardly wait for Christmas!

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome Truck!
Boy, what a great investment this was!We bought this along with the front loader and wow, does it get used a lot!My little one just loves filling up that front loader and dumping stuff into the back of this dump truck. The dump truck then goes all over the place delivering whatever is in the back, and comes back for more.He goes through sand, mud, you name it and looks great. These trucks clean up very easily and don't marr hardwood floors. It's pretty cute seeing how many things he can do with this truck - it just provides hours of fun for him. ... Editorial Review

Little ones with a knack for building and creative play will be drawn tothese lightweight and durable cardboard building blocks. A staple item in many preschools, this set can spark endless imaginative play as children buildlarge, life-size structures. Builders practice mathematical skills as they addthe number of blocks stacked on top of each other, and the various-sized blockscan facilitate a conceptual understanding of fractions. When kids aredevelopmentally ready, parents can encourage them to discover that one large redblock is the same size as two medium yellow blocks or four small blue blocks.Made from 50 percent recycled cardboard, the blocks have a smooth, water-resistant coating that's easy to clean. These blocks won a Parents' ChoiceClassic Award and a Dr. Toy Classic Award. One word of caution: Make surethere's enough storage space to hold all 40 blocks once assembled. --LaurenBernard, mother and elementary school teacher ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Large blocks are best
These are great, durable, fun cardboard blocks for your kids to build structures they can play in (for example, mine like to build walls under tables to make a fort or "rabbit hole" while they pretend they are rabbits, or they build towers around each other which they then love to crash down on their heads.)I like them because they are a nice physical toy that encourages the imagination. They are strong enough for kids to stand on (although I don't encourage it because they will weaken over time) and light enough that they aren't hurt if the blocks fall on them. And kids learn some spatial, balance, and construction concepts as well. Warning: assembly required, and you should take care when assembling to make sure you get them right (don't bend the cardboard in the wrong place or you will weaken them). Also, the best blocks are the larger red ones. The yellow ones are much harder to build with (no stability for height) and the blue (brick-sized) ones are nearly useless.I'm buying more of the red only, and I expect I will actually throw out the blue and yellow ones since they take up storage room but are pretty much useless. These blocks are expensive if you are going to buy enough of them. I recommend that your kids will need at least 30 red ones to really build things that they can play in (even building in an open-space brick-saving fashion)... and that gets costly. They can be stacked awayin a 2x3x4 area... it's helpful to cordon off a section of your room or have a big storage box that helps your kids figure out how to put them away.5 stars for fun and child development, but I only gave 4 stars due to the expense and useless smaller blocks included.

5-0 out of 5 stars Long lasting
These blocks have been in our church nursery for forty years! I played with these blocks when I was a child and now I am ordering new ones the all the children to enjoy for another forty years!

1-0 out of 5 stars What They Don't Tell You
I ordered these blocks for my great nephews for Christmas and when they arrived I was very disappointed to see that they required putting the blocks together. No where in the marketing material does it indicate that "assembly is required" for the indivual blocks.

I would never give a gift that requires this kind of assembly.I find the material to be misleading [...]. ... Read more

The Swiss Family Robinson's treetop pad has nothing on theJungle Climber. This hideout has it all: a wavy, 4-foot-long slide; asecret revolving door; a rope-mesh wall for climbing; passagewaysgalore; and different levels set at staggered heights. Playfully castto look like colorful rock, wood planks, bamboo slats, and junglegreenery, the component parts of this 4.5-foot-tall climber assembleinto a circular configuration (6 feet in diameter) that has threeseparate dividing walls radiating out like spokes. 5-0 out of 5 stars Truly Durable
My brother and I bought this Jungle Climber. It took a while to go together, but because it was so tight, I could tell that it was sturdy. My sisters are five and three and are rough on all of their toys, but this one has held up for quite some time.It was so sturdy that all four of us could sit on it and not worry. This toy is worth the pain of putting it together. One year later it is still in great condition.

5-0 out of 5 stars my nephew loves it!
This jungle climber is a life saver, my little nephew who will be 2 next month just loves climbing and going down the slide. He spends hours out in the yard and he hasn't got board and he has almost had it a year. The only thing i didn't enjoy was putting it together. We had a little trouble getting the pieces together once i got out the veggie oil it went together fast.

3-0 out of 5 stars fun to play, a pain to assemble
This toy is fun for my son who enjoys climbing, but a pain to put together and not all of the pieces are machined correctly. The instructions show two people assembling the toy with ease and no tools, but my wife and I tried to assemble this toy on Christmas eve, and we could not. It finally took my brother and I and several prying tools to get it put together, and while my son has a very good time with this toy, make sure that when you go to put this together you have two or three very able bodied people and some leveraging tools or it may not work. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Star Wars Fun!!!!!!
My 3 year old loves this, he also has the millenium falcon, which he loves even more! They are more durable then you might expect, yes he does taske them apart, but they don't break and are able to be put back together!

4-0 out of 5 stars this toy is fun
i liked this toy because it has luke skywalker.i got it when i was 5.this toy makes lots of sounds from star wars.it can even mov e its laser guns.it comes with r2d2 and luke skywalker.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very nice toy for little hands
After getting the Millenium Falcon for her 8 yr old cousin, I saw that this was the favorite toy among the kids at the party. The one I got had 4 feet to the Falcon (Iguess a spare) and putting on all the stickers was definetly an adult job. This is an absolutely great gift for kids (boys or girls).Very durable and oh so cute.

I wish Hasbro would put out a Galactic Heroes Speeder Bike and Jungle Leia with Ewok (that would be soooo cute and to have a girl with a vehicle) and they also need a TIE Fighter with a Darth Vader!I am looking for an excuse to get the Falxon and X-Wing for my daughter, because mommy already has a big falcon and can't justify getting another!

My 4 yr old daughter loves Queen Amidala and kept asking for another one (I found 2 "skipper" sized golls on clearance). She LOVES Princess Leia and her husband Han Solo. She carries then everywhere and has them to parties with the Happy Family Barbie todlers. Now if I can oly find the Padme & Anakin set, she will be in heaven!I hope they come out with more girl jedi's in their two packs.Even though mommy loves Darth Vader, she can't get into the concept of liking a scary bad guy.I guess I'll keep those for when she's older.

With most action figures, not much in the way of educational value but she role plays with these two all the time. A+ to Hasbro and Star Wars for coming out with cute kid friendly action figures! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Not so great for every youngster!
I bought this game for my boys after they already learned their letter sounds from the Letter Factory DVD (like everyone else, I HIGHLY recommend the DVD!)
I've been disappointed because:
1) Professor Quigley talks too much, and if several people are playing, it takes forever to get through everyone's turn! There's no way to skip Quigley's whole monologue with every letter. One active 5-yr. old boy thought it was "boring".His 3-yr. old brother played for a while, but also lost interest.
2.) The harder level of play asks for matching letters to letter sounds (which my kids can do) and also asks "What letter comes before B?" (which my kids totally don't understand.)The easier level of play asks kids to get a certain color of card, and then move forward a certain number of spaces.Too easy for the 5-yr old, but it works well for my 2-yr. old if I help move the marker.
3.) I lost a letter card from my set, and was thrilled when I called customer service and they offered to send a whole replacement set of cards!Several weeks later, I called back... found out the cards aren't in stock and they'll send them when available... I've been waiting THREE MONTHS now for a replacement set (although I'd be happy just to have the one missing card!)

5-0 out of 5 stars ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!!!
My son, who just turned 3 LOVES,LOVES,LOVES this game! He can play by himself or with us and he runs around the house singing his phonics sounds! We got him the LeapFrog Fridge Phonics last year to help him learn his letters, but once we got him the Letter Factory DVD, he really caught on and can play this at Level 2 providing he pays attention.Fully interactive, he can repeat the question with a push of a button and has several tries to answer correctly. Also, the game keeps track of each player and seems to advance everyone so they stay fairly close together. I also like that it continues past the first "winner" and lets the other players finish and win. This game is absolutely the bast of all the other we got him!

5-0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT EDCUCATIONAL FUN INDEPENDANT PLAY

5-0 out of 5 stars Must have for Scooby Doo fans!
The mystery machine may be made of plastic, but it is pretty sturdy. My 4 year old son can vouch for that! He absolutely loves this van! The back of the van flips open so you can trap the 2 glow in the dark monsters in the cage, and it has a door that can lock them in! My son loves it that he got his 2 favorite characters (Scooby Doo and Shaggy) with this van. The front doors of the van open so the characters can go inside. This is a wonderful toy for any scooby doo fan!

2-0 out of 5 stars Disappointed in toy
Although my son loves the Mystery Machine, it is made of CHEAP, CHEAP, plastic.Shaggy's arms keep falling off, the scooter is already broken, and the ghose cage is always coming apart. If I had known it was going to be like this, I would have never ordered the van.

It's not a Razor, but it's racy enough for a beginner. A hot pink stand-out in any public park, this manual scooter looks and rides swell, then folds up to fit into an 8-inch wide space. Unfolded and ready to go, its 31 inches high from the bottom of its clear, hard rubber wheels to the top of its easy-grip, collapsible, purple handlebars. The footboard is 20-inch long, too small for teenaged feet. All parents have to do is keep a good look out for beginner spills, or adjust the height and angle of the steering column for a different ride. Kids can take it from there. In case your kid likes to burn rubber, however, take time to teach her how to use the friction footbrake, located at the rear of the aluminum board. --Diane Beall ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome fun!
This was a great buy. My girls are 4 and 7 and they love this toy! It packs easy for travel. Scooters fold and unfold easily in a minute! Attractive color. Durable build. Even the adults had to try out the new toys--nothing broke like I feared! Nothing marred or dented! Helmets and elbow/knee pads are recommended. My 4 needed them for sure! Rolls easily so be careful of unskilled kids on sloping pavements. Perfect Christmas gifts this year!

5-0 out of 5 stars a little girls dream
"Thank you Mommy, I love my scooter" is what I hear multiple times a day.She loves the Barbie colors and design and has learned quickly how to use it.She just pushes with one foot and rides around with such a smile. It folds up easily for storage or travel.Couldn't imagine another scooter making her happier. She completes the look with her Barbie helmet and her Barbie protective pads.

5-0 out of 5 stars lots of fun
I was surprised to read the review about the girl who was standing still on the scooter and then spent three days in the hospital. Regardless of that my daughter has been riding scooters since she was three years old and of course you have to practice and have adult supervision but we've NEVER had a problem with broken bones. Not to say they don't happen. We love this scooter and have more then gotten our money out of it. She is six now and loving riding this scooter each day. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Love this car
We got this car for our 14 month daughter for Christmas after researching the market to see what all is out there. We liked this one the best because we could push her around for walks and take the bottom out and let her push herself around. The buttons are fun for her to push, but her favorite is the conertable canopy she pulls it up and down and plays peek-a-boo with us.It was orginally going to be used for outside, but was compact enough to use inside during the cold months. She loves this car!She is now 18 months old and can get in and out of it by herself to let us know that she is ready to "drive the car".I like walking outside with her with this verses her wagon because you push instead of pull, so she is in front of me where I can watch her.

5-0 out of 5 stars Toot, Toot!
My 21 month old son loves this car. He received it as a Christmas gift and at first I wasn't too thrilledbecause we have a wagon we really enjoyed, and I figured that he would quickly lose interest in the car and it would end up ignored and taking up precious space. However - much as I enjoy our wagon - this has several advantages. The car is both sturdy and easy to handle. It manuevers around corners with great ease. In fact on inclimate days - we have been known to use it in the house w/out fear of bumping into walls because it turns so easily. I am also happy that my little one is seated in fron of me - unlike the wagon. This makes it much easier to see if he has tossed a sippy cup, pacifier, is about to lose his hat, or is attempting to stand up. These things are not always readily apparent when we use the wagon and he's being pulled behind me. Finally, our son loves pretending to drive. He turnes the steering wheel, honks the horn, and waves at all passers by!

Young children will get the hang of hanging with this cute swing from Little Tikes. Its blue plastic body sports sturdy yellow shoulder straps and a red T-bar to keep babies and toddlers safe; the T-bar can be removed for older kids. Parents should make sure not to hang the swing above concrete or another hard surface, and they should check that the support structure is secure. 2-0 out of 5 stars Poor strap design
We purchased this swing 4 years ago.The strap design makes it extremely difficult to get children in and out quickly. After four years the straps are completely gone.My two boys (5 and 3) enjoy it now with the middle harnass tucked under; however, I am now shopping for a new swing to use with my 1-year-old.This swing is great for the older children, but I would not recommend it for small children who need to be strapped in simply because of how difficult the straps are to undo.

Dora the Explorer, "Nick Jr.'s" doe-eyed, Mexican sojourner, converses in Spanish and English as a doll as naturally as a cartoon. From simple, one-word translations to the "Happy Song," Dora speaks and sings using over 30, clearly pronounced, easy-to-learn words. She interacts with four included friends--a star, baby bird, butterfly and frog--who respond with movement, light and sound (via microchips) when placed in her right hand. Dora's body is designed to sit rather than stand (she has a very flat bum and solid posture), so she's actually built to be conversational. Just position her on the edge of a chair and the fun begins. If kids still need something to coddle, Dora has pliable extremities, and her pretty, brown hair can be combed. Her clothes, however, are not removable. Required: 4 "AA" batteries.--Diane Beall ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Very Disappointed!!!!
Half the time Dora doesn't even know what little friend she's holding ,that is if my daughter can find them!!! Most of the time Dora repeats her words over and over and over again like a broken record!! She is a huge Dora fan but has lost all interest in this toy. Wish I could get my money back.

4-0 out of 5 stars For Dora Fans
I bought this for my girlfriend's 3 year old and she absolutely loves it. She takes it with her to school every day. She already learned the little song that Dora sings and knows how to switch Dora's friends on the palm of her hand, herself. It's a good idea to keep Dora's friends always in your sight because once lost the doll will loose some of it's coolness. But I'm happy that I could make a 3 year old jump for joy. Great gift idea for a little Dora fan.

1-0 out of 5 stars This toy is a waste of money....do not buy it!
After opening this toy that Santa brought for my 3 year old (no small feat with the master degree holding packaging engineers securing each and every extremity and accessory piece with a wire), and playing with it for a few minutes, I immediately started to wonder why I couldn't get the toy to say the 30 phrases the box promised. My husband suggested that maybe there is a Spanish mode, but there is no "Spanish" button to be found.Additionally, I too thought for the price paid, the manufacturer could have included Dora's backpack to keep her "friends" in.
As another reviewer stated, I can only get the doll to say 8 phrases unless hola and adios count each as 1, then we're up to 10.
Furthermore, the weight of this doll, if launched, will surely break a window, dent a wood floor or cause a concussion in an innocent sibling standing by.
It should go without saying that this is going back as it doesn't do what is promised on the package. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Puzzle for Little Ones
My 28 month old son got this puzzle for Christmas and loves it.He put it together the first time out of the box himself. It is the first thing he does every morning and then several times a day.My almost 5 year old likes it too. It is not as sturdy as the Melissa & Doug floor puzzles, but it still really sturdy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Nice picture making for an easier puzzle
My 2 year old daughter has this puzzle and thinks its wonderful.

Unlike many puzzles, with just one character on it, the picture is brilliant having lots of different trains, etc on it.It is easy to fit togehter, with parts of a different character or scene on every piece. She can easily put Thomas, the sheds, Harold, etc together thus eventually making the whole puzzle.

This is by far her favourite puzzle. For one, it's Thomas! And for 2, it's well-made and 'easy' to work out how to put together.

5-0 out of 5 stars Most Beloved Toy
My son who just turned 4 years old in December received this for Christmas.I'm amazed at the beauty and durability of the pieces. He put it together about three times (with help) the first time we opened it!I never seen him so excited about a toy and to my greater surprise--a puzzle! Each time he placed a new piece in (sometimes with my assistance and sometimes not), he'd ask me to turn around and then ask me to look. When I looked I praised him for his accomplishment and he squealed with excitement. He literally jumped up and down almost after each piece was placed! He told me this was his favorite gift for Christmas and believe me he had quite a few more that were more expensive.I'll be buying more Thomas puzzles from this company in the near future as I'm very impressed. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Phonics Radio is great!
I purchased the Phonics Radio for my daughter because she seemed interested in learning her letters & loves music. When she first started playing with it, she was only pushing buttons to hear the music. Now that she is in preschool, she is making the connection to the letters in the radio with her ABC's.She loves this toy & takes it in the car so she can have her own music. That's a little annoying since I'm way over the ABC's song, but she's happy! We use this together with the Phonics Fridge Magnet set.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun Toy Radio
I bought this for my daughter when she was two years old and she immediately loved it.She loved the blinking lights and the songs for each of the letters. It also identifies each letter with an example word and plays a few other tunes, like "Old MacDonald Had A Farm".There are two volume settings, loud and soft, and soft is pretty reasonable, while loud isn't super loud either. The toy is very durable.Even a child who is rough with toys would have a hard time breaking it.

The only thing my daughter doesn't like about it is the games.I think the only minus for parents would be they the tunes might get stuck in their heads. It's awfully embarrassing to find yourself singing "The letter B really swings/It's the song it sings!" while at work.Other parents might understand, but everyone else will look at you funny.

Overall, I would recommend this for parents with toddlers.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not a good toy for phonics
My son got this toy for Christmas just before he turned 2.He loves listening to the few songs that are at the end, but otherwise, the toy is useless. It is very hard for me to understand the differences between some of the letters- I have to hear what word it's using as an example. It's a fun toy to tote around and listen to the songs, but as a learning device, it just isn't as good as other leap frog products. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Makes tummy time easier
My baby hated to be on her tummy, but all nurses insist it is critical in baby development.I would put this inchworm under her elbows and prop her up on it and she was much more comfortable.I also wrap it around her head as a head rest in her car seat. It's her most-used toy.She loves the colors and sounds it makes.

3-0 out of 5 stars my son isn't very interested
My son has had this toy since he was 3 months old and has never been very interested in it.( he is now 9 months) You can barely hear the music it plays. That is the only feature I really don't like about this toy.

3-0 out of 5 stars She's just not interested!
This is a cute toy, but our 6 month old has yet to be interested in it.Its large size makes it difficult to hold for small babies.I know it's gotten many good reviews, so I'll keep trying... just know that very young babies may not get much use out of it! ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Only for the mechanically inclined!
This is high quality, strong, and durable equipment, for sure. The problem is, ASSEMBLY!!!!We (two people) have already put five hours into it, and it's STILL not done. The instructions are HORRIBLE, and the manufacturer could make it a lot more simple by pre-assembling some basic parts. At the very least, they could provide better written instructions or pictures. It seemed like a copy of a copy of a copy, which was barely legible, at best.Wish me luck, we're still trying to get this monster together!

4-0 out of 5 stars Not as bad as people say
Ok first I would agree with everyone. The instructions are PATHETIC.I don't see why they had to be so difficult. With very minimal reorganization of the instruction manual this set could be put together in half the time without the headache.

But I would also like to say that all of the people complaining about screws not being long enough or not fitting properly, may have just been confused about how to place them.I had this problem at several sections of the build, but then after VERY carefully re-reading the instructions I realized it was ME doing something wrong, not the hardware. The instructions are terrible. That is for certain. But if you can by some stroke of luck get it together properly its a good swing set for the money.

3-0 out of 5 stars Very hard to assemble!!!!!
We purchased this swing set for my 21 month old today at 10:00- it is 4:30 and I just now got finished putting it together! The instructions are terrible to decipher and I am missing one of the main bolts to put the center bar up with. The bolts I needed for the chin bar were in with the slide bolts and I had to maneuver around to get the right bolts in the right places because the directions were the least helpful thing ever written.
I am sure my little one with love it for the slide alone- but this has done me in on "do-it-yourself" assembly. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars My Little Pony
These ponies are totally adorable! Princess Peppermint is the red one, Tropical Delight is the purple one, Flutterbutter is the white one, and Banjo Blue is the blue pony. My favorite is Princess Peppermint, I think she's the prettiest. They are'nt hard plastic. Their made of a soft rubber. I think its pretty good, that you can get 4 ponies in one giftbox. I reccomend in addition to these ponies, getting Fluttershy, Sew-In-Sew, Strawberry Swirl, Serpendity, Bumblesweet, Daisy Jo, Forsythia, Merriweather, and I have one named Golden Delicious. I would recommend more, but I forget their names. Anyway I hope all MLP fans, enjoy the ponies and their accsessories as much as me.:-D

5-0 out of 5 stars A Collector's Review
There isn't much to say about these ponies. They're simply adorable... and you really can't beat the price. It's like buying three ponies and getting one free. Plus, the fact that this is a TRU exclusive set adds to the collector value of it. All-in-all, it's a good value for your money and a fine addition to any collection.

I also think little girls who are fond of MLPs would enjoy this set, as well. It's nice to get so many ponies at once - and at this price, it's fairly cheap, too! :)

Collector Note: This set only comes with 4 pony points, which is a bit of a disappointment. With four ponies, you'd think it would have 8. Or at least 6, since you're paying the same price as three regular ponies (which each have 2).

5-0 out of 5 stars My Little Pony Rides again!
These wonderful little ponies hold a special place in my heart.
My niece has started collecting them along with me.
This year Im taking her to the My Little Pony Convention in Minnesota www.mlpfair.com

This electronic writing desk teaches kids the alphabet, letter sounds, letter formation, spelling, and word creation in a fun, interactive format. Kids can choose from sixgames: letters, a letters quiz, phonics, a phonics quiz, spelling, and "create-a-word."In the letters game, children push a letter to hear its name and see how it is formedon the LCD screen; players can also write their own letters on the "magic" writing screen. In the spelling game, children learn to spell simple words. In the phonics game, childrenfirst hear a letter and then are given a short word as an example. Along the way, thealways-helpful LeapFrog "coach" offers lots of cheerful hints so children won't getstuck in any of the exercises. 5-0 out of 5 stars A Fantastic learning tool!!!
My first son received this when he was 3 and loved it..it really solidified what he knew about letters and helped him to learn the difference between upper and lower case. Now, my second son, who just turned 2, knows all his letters simply from playing with this desk, and I am amazed! He played with it and still plays with it constantly, and just from playing with it was able to learn them all on his own...which is great for me, a mom of three, who doesn't always have the time to sit down with him. This toy occupies him for hours and is so educational, and I know that as he gets older, he will love using more of the many options it offers. This is such a great learning tool, I would buy another if this one broke tomorrow!

5-0 out of 5 stars My sons new favorite toy...
I ordered this for my 4 year old son last week and ever since I gave it to him he loves to practice his writing on it.This desk has a lot of different activities on it that the child can play with and still have fun learning.Like the other reviewers, my only complain is that it times out too quickly. But still it's a great teaching tool for kids learning to write letters and words.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Preschool Learning Tool
My son is 4 years old and in preschool, this product has significantly helped him to not only recognize the letters in the alphabet but also how to write them.My only complaint is that it "times" out too quickly and asks them to play again later.Other than that, it is an excellent product. ...
