5-0 out of 5 stars still my childhood favorite
This game is excellent! It is just like the super mario brothers games that were out when I had my first Nintendo game player. It is identical to the Super Mario Bros 3 original, but they added additional secrets and graphics that give it a more modern video game appeal. Absolutely the best game for kids, it has goals and requires strategy, which many video games today lack. This is a game I still enjoy playing as an adult. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars FABULOUS!
I am so happy I chose to purchase this tent for my kids.It is huge but that's what we wanted. My kids range in age from 10 months to 11 years and they aren't short at all but they all fit in this little playhouse with room to spare and with tons of pillows, a little tea table and their stuffed animals. The best part is they can play in it happily together! That makes the cost seem miniscule to me!

4-0 out of 5 stars Great BIG fun!!!
I bought this for my 3 yr old daughter .. and to my surprise its big enough for my 3 yr old, 5 yr old and 9 yr old ... and their cousins!!It is a great challenge to fold down, but when you fold it once it gets easier each time. Great for camping, the beach and backyard fun!!!We're a big fan of Playhut and this house is the best especially for summer!!

2-0 out of 5 stars Loads of fun!
My kids love this play tent and so do I.I love that the tent can be folded up, so you only have the house out.We also bought the 5' tube that connects to it.I thought it would be a little bigger around, but kids fit in it just fine. I found folding it up was very easy.It only took two tries and within 15 minutes it was in it's bag.GREAT TENT!!! ... Read more

Editorial Review

Hey, even Michael Jordan was a toddler once. And just think of how many more millions he might have made if he had practiced on a hoop-and-ball set like this one when he was a height-challenged hoopster. With the Easy Score Basketball set those impromptu dunking clinics will be challenging, but no longer impossible. Future MJs can now practice their skills with ease, because the Easy Score adjusts to height, has a size-appropriate hoop, and is made of durable plastic. The over-size rim (1 foot across, with a nylon hoop) can be set anywhere, as it only rises from 2.5 to 4 feet high, putting lay-ups and treys just within reach. A sturdy 15-by-19-inch base keeps the basket from tipping; this is important for young hoopsters who get a little too exuberant. The set comes with a tot-sized (6-inch-wide) rubber b-ball.--Paul Hughes ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun while it lasted
My son got this when he was 3. My 5 year old daughter thought it would be fun to lay it down and sit on it like it was a horse or something. The basket cracked. Before that, the tiny red piece of plastic that is used to adjust the height was lost, so it had to be used at the shortest height. We found the piece, and my husband superglued the basket. It worked until the first slam-dunk. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the best purchases we've made
I couldn't help but add my 2 cents worth. We bought this for our 14 month old son. He absolutely loves it. We have had it for three months and he still plays with it every day. Our 3 year old loves to get into the action too and Dad and the kids literally spend hours playing ball. I would recommend it to anyone. It is a great idea for inside physical activity during the cold months, ours was in the living room, it's nice because it doesn't take up too much space.

5-0 out of 5 stars The best Christmas present!
I bought thisbasketball set for my son's Christmas gift this year. My husband loves it as much as my son! When my husband gets home from work they spend at least 30 mins playing ball.It is easy to adjust and the ball is just right for his little hands. We live in an apartment so it stays inside and we don't have sand in it.This is hands down the most used toy in his very very very extensive collection! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great starter or addition for any child
I bought this set for my son for Christmas. At the time of purchase it included a Thomas and Percy wooden train as well as a VHS.When I first bought it I underestimated it's size and was pleased to find out how much of my son's train table it actually covered. The other great thing was that it fit in perfectly with my son's older clickty-clack tracks and bridges. My son plays with this toy every day.Compared to other Thomas the Train sets this one is by far the best for the money. It's also very easy to assemble. My two and a half year old son easily puts the figure eight track together.Every day he is excited to get to his train table and play whith his "choo-choo"it is the main part of our large Thomas set.I would suggest this buy to anyone thinking of starting a Thomas set for their child.I also find that older children that come over to play are just as excited to play with the Thomas tracks as my son is.I would also like to mention the track is incredibly durable as my son has done nearly everything a two year old could do to a toy.I am very pleased with this purchase.

5-0 out of 5 stars Imagination Galore
I am a big fan of toys that encourage imagination.Girls and boys will love these train sets.A little pricey, but the quality and workmanship prevail. These train sets can be passed generation to generation. An eager child and imagination are the only requirments to hours of play time. All the train sets can be mixed and matched, added to, and built upon. The possibilities are endless

5-0 out of 5 stars Great fun, but....
OK, my son loves Thomas. He really, really loves this starter set.STARTER SET!I had tried to avoid the whole Thomas thing because it is kind of a money pit, but my husband said, "it's just a train, he won't need any more than this" - famous last words.Truth is - he loves it, he plays with it, he wants all of it, every accessory, every car - EVERYTHING!!!It is another in the long line of toys that require fifty additional purchases at 30 bucks a pop - but it is durable, fun and has alot of repeat play value - and collectibility.Someday we can sell it all on eBay! :) ... 5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT kitchen
We had a hand-me down kitchen since my first b/g twins were 18 months, they are now 3 and have 8 month old twin brothers. We decided that a pink kitchen wasnt fit for our family, so we went in search of a new one. It was between this one and the dream kitchen. They were both, non gender specific, and both interactive. We liked this one better because the colors are more appealing to kids (atleast it was to our 3 year olds in toys r us) and that it is a little more interactive. Of course this kitchen should be for pretend, but its nice that you can put eggs on the stove and it will tell you what it is, you can also buy additional interactive foods from toysrus and from amazon. It is very durable and has held up to much abuse. My 3 year olds love to cook when mommy does (ours is in the kitchen and the old one is in the playroom). We have a lot of dishes and food, and for the ones that dont fit in the kitchen, we put in a small basket next to it. ITs big enough for about 3-4 toddlers to play with at a time. It encourages sharing and cooaperation. My kids have alot of fun with it and they espcially like the oven, who knows why! I think this kitchen is great, cute friendly and a little more interactive than the lifestyles!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great fix for loudness!
I tried a suggestion that I got from a review back on January 2, 2004. Putting clear mailing tape over the round voice box (located under the black grill next to the burner) works great to reduce the sounds of the interactive burner and water sounds from the faucet to a much better level for both adults and the kids! This is easier done during the initial assembly, but the grill over the voice box can also be popped out by gripping the left side with two hands and sliding to the right, then lift up. It is easy to just snap it back in place after putting on the tape.

I researched this kitchen last year when my granddaughter was only one and kept it in mind to purchase this year. I've noticed that the manufacturer's statement has been shortened and I wanted everyone to know that the tap on the faucet has a "motion sensor"that activates dish and silverware clanging sounds with the running water sound, as long as there is movement under the spout. This is a great feature along with the food recognition on the burner. And you can use any plastic pan on the burner, not just the two that come with it. It's the food item in the pan that is somehow magically recognized!

I have learned that this model is being discontinued so if you are interested in this wonderful product, get it while you still can! The internet was the only place I was able to find it still available. (...)

5-0 out of 5 stars Lots of fun
Our 18 month old son recieved this kitchen as a Christmas gift last year and loves it. It is a perfect size for both him and his 5 year old brother. They both play with it daily, unlike other toys that they have recieved and forget about. The constuction is as tough as it gets. Boys being boys, this toy has been used for many things other than just a kitchen(spaceship), and has always stood up to any abuse. If you can live with the color it comes in, it's a great toy. I'm currently looking to see if there are more "food" pieces that go with it. One last bit, do not wait until the night before to put it together, it takes a good hour for one person, but it's easy. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Beautiful! Miyamoto brings back more fun!
Okay, hour 1 of minish cap: It's 6:00pm and I'm still stuck on this one puzzle, the size of a piece of dust and Ezlo isn't helping me... success! I found the Jar of Gusts! I suck the spiderwebs off (You're sick if you're thinking what I think you're thinking I'm thinking you're thinking.) with the jar and get out of the extra entrances, quite frankly I'm entertained.

Drowning in puddles... teardrops and getting jumped by pieces of pollen... what's not to want or need?! Mr. Miyamoto did not fail us, the gameplay engine was solid, the graphics, good for a GBA game, sound... wonderful! I swear, playing as a super-chibbi is fun, so if you want an affordable good game... don't buy this game... buy it if you want an awesome affordable game! Go Zelda!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Cool Game
This is fun, even when you play it again. There is a HUGE amount of kinstone fusions to do, it will take a lot of time to come up with everything. I had to make a separate game where I don't finish the four sword, since i miss a lot of fusions from the town. Also, try making your name dude or cheesy. People start saying really weird stuff.

4-0 out of 5 stars So Much Fun

Just like the real front loaders you might see working along the highway, the Mighty Front Loader was designed to dig, dump, and haul. With its large working bucket, deep-cleated tires, and heavy-duty steel construction, this solid truck is guaranteed for life and built for endless hours of fun in the sandbox or yard. Two handles let you control the angle of the work bucket so you can dig or dump sand and dirt, or move rocks around. Or you can set the bucket in a middle position when you want to haul things for a while without holding the handle. The cab and engine sections swivel, making it easy to steer the front loader to where the work is. The large wheels (4.5-inch diameter) have been mounted over strong steel axles, tested for up to 50 pounds. Realistically styled, the front loader measures 22 inches long by 8 inches wide by 9.5 inches high. --Chris Burns ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Tonka Toys are Tough!
This is a GREAT toy for a rough little boy which is exactly what we have here! My son received this for Christmas a year ago & it still looks great & works great! That is saying lots!! He can destroy a lot of toys quickly b/c he is all boy!! For example, he received a truck for his birthday a month ago which was supposed to be a good rugged truck well it has been pronounced dead & retired to the trash already after just a month, but not his Tonka toys! But then we always buy the metal ones for him! I dont think you can go wrong with this toy! We are actly buying him a few more in this same line for this Christmas b/c they are so rugged!

4-0 out of 5 stars The best construction toys
After much research I'm back to the old steadfast Tonka for my 3 year old.

These are the best construction toys for kids. I gave it a 4 for the plastic parts. I still have my Tonka loader in perfect condition from 1970, it has a metal loader bucket and mechanism. Although you could argue that the plastic bucket might be more safe if it gets plowed into anything other than dirt or it won't get scraped up from digging and corrode if left out in the elements too often. I like all metal.

But these are still just great construction toys. The competitors use too much plastic in places where they'll actually break. They feel like they're going to fall apart unless sitting foreven on a shelf.

Kids will push anything to it's limit, at least smaller kids. So expect any flimsy plastic, realistic looking parts to get broken, unless it's building blocks or something like that.

There's a difference between hard plastic and softer plastic in terms of durability. Most of the competitor trucks feel like hard plastic. The harder plastic snaps frm fatigue. The bucket on the loader is a bit softer, it's more pliable so it shouldn't snap from moderate abuse

I'd also stay away from the Tonkas that look more realistic but are all plastic, a harder plastic, and battery operated. Although alittle more realistic looking, those aren't really made for digging or pushing or anything but pretending to dig on a carpet inside only. Perhaps for older kids who play more realistically than forcefully. I've seen some with all of their realistic brittle plastic loader parts just broked off where they attach from over use from preschoolers.

These look much more durable, and they are. My sons still look pretty darn good and they've seen much use.

5-0 out of 5 stars Buy it
These are the BEST toys in the world for kids who love transportation.I got this on special with the free dump truck and they have been all over the house, yard and even went on display for show and tell in grade K.All the kids love it.

If this is on special with the free dump truck as it is several times then don't hesitate get two and save it for a birthday gift. Both girls and boys love 'em.Great buy. ... Read more

YEAH2 I KNOE THE OTHER GAMER SAID THIZ GAME GREAT AND ALL THAT...BUT TO ME THIZ GAME SI BORED BECOZ THERES NO COP,NO SUN,AND THE MOST I HATE ABOUT THIZ IS...ITZ TOO EASY...

5-0 out of 5 stars No cops?
Need for Speed: Underground 2 delves into the world of the street racer scene "The Fast and The Furious" style. There is only one thing missing from most of the previous iterations of this excellent series that made them interesting. That was the police chases.

Overall, the graphics in this game are some of the best I have seen out there. They may not be up there in the Grand Tourismo class, but they are close. The graphics and body kits available for the cars are amazing.

The controls are very intuitive, especially the placing of the shift buttons. The accelerator and brake buttons are right under your thumbs. The buttons for nitrous and the e-brake are right where you need them. You can use the e-brake easily to make quick changes in direction and the nitrous can really provide a quick boost of speed when you need it.

The range of races available is wide and varied. There are choices of Circuit, Drag, Drift, Street X, Underground, and Free Roaming. You can even challenge other drivers in Out Run races.

The only thing that would make this game better and more interesting would be police chases. Other than that, overall this is an excellent game.

4-0 out of 5 stars It's Pretty Good.
I really think EA did it for sports/racing games last year, by releasing one of the greatest racing games ever. While I agree this game is truly awesome, there is one minor complaint I have. This new 'free roam' thing gets kind of of annoying in career mode, because driving to all those areas is annoying and it takes a toll on my hands. Also, I am done with the game and what I found out is that the story just keeps repeating itself and gets boring after like, half an hour of playing it. You got your drift, circuit, drag, sprint, street x, your underground racing league, and your special events. All you do in the game is drive to different locations where races are and you keep doing the same thing over and over and over throughout the whole game. That's why I gave the fun rating a three, not five. Now, aside from that issue, this game overall rocks. The customization in this game is unbeleivable. There are so many different types of parts and upgrades that you won't even believe your eyes. I like all the new upgrades they added in this game that they didn't have in the previous game. Stuff such as scissor doors, and suicide doors, and the ability to make your engine hood open in many different ways than one. Plus, I like that they added SUV's in the game. Another complaint I have is the lack of cars. I realize there are very few import tuner cars out there and most of them are already in the game, but what about other cars? Racing games these days have an average of close to 100 cars, this one at a low 30. Why not add in Lambos or ferarri's. And come on, only three SUV's. Hummer, Escalade, and Navigater. What about Yukon Denali or countless others? Overall, do I think you should get this game? Of course, the $50 bucks you drop for this game are definately worth it. There is more to this game than just racing. Modifying your cars, racing with your friends in multiplayer, or playing people from around the world in online racing, which is probably the coolest new addition in this game. A racing game fan must have.

Editorial Review

Cadoo is the funky fusion of tic-tac-toe, general knowledge, sculptingskill, and scavenger hunt designed for kids by the brainiacs who brought us theleft side/right side frenzy of Cranium. Operating solo or in combo with others, players attempt to line up four of their jack-like tokens on the groovilycolored grid board by fulfilling a myriad of tasks in an array of categoriesfamiliar to Craniacs. Whether attempting to sculpt a taco out of the includedclay or guessing which of Milky Way, Butterfinger, or Twix is longer, cadetsfind that correct answers and successful missions--can you bring back bothsomething smaller than your big toe, and something bigger than your foot, inless than a minute?--put them one-quarter of the way closer to their Cadoo. 5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome game for everyone
My daughter received this game for her eighth birthday. We are avid game players in this house and own several cranium games. This game definately meets the cranium standard. We had a BLAST playing this game and ended up playing several time.My daughter loves the variety of activities, where I love that everything fits back in the box! This is a great family game.

5-0 out of 5 stars The perfect kid's game...even teens will get some kicks
This is a wonderful game for kids 7-10, and even teens, like me, might enjoy it for a while. Like the original Cranium, players are encouraged to use all kinds of different skills to advance in the game. The different types of cards encourage kids to work with words, draw pictures, act things out, and even sculpt with the included clay (it's great clay, by the way, and stays moist and pliable through tons of use). The variety is what keeps it fun, as you're always wondering what you'll have to do next.

The game pieces themselves are eye-catching and colorful. The cards and playing board are nicely illustrated with cute characters (Cranium fans will recognize the star, cat, worm, and Data Head). The playing pieces have a unique, whimsical shape that not only makes them look cool, but allows them to fit together for easy storage. These touches give the game a cheerful, happy look, but never in a cheesy way.

The gameplay is forgiving, as the included timer gives you ample time, and the questions and activities are simplified for younger players. Some challenges, however (sculpting in particular) are tough even for older players. Overall, though, everything seems to be at the right level for the age group, and all the activities are educational in some way. Plus, they're so fun that kids will have a good time doing them even if they don't win the game.

All in all, Cadoo has no flaws at all, and is overflowing with creativity and variety. It's a great game for a group of kids, a family looking to spend some quality time, or just about anyone, and parents will have the satisfaction of knowing that their child is learning as they play. It's the perfect balance: more kid-friendly than classics like Monopoly and Clue, more educational than games based on TV shows, and different from just about everything out there.

3-0 out of 5 stars Exellent, but not bad
When I got this game for my birthday, I was so happy to play it. That day I played it was so much fun. Three days later, I forgot about it. Then in March 2005, I was board and I remembered Cadoo. Then my mom accsept playing with me. Then it was so much fun!
So buy one now.Or not. ... Read more

This durable little unit packs in a lot of functions, all of them eminently kid-friendly. Most basically, it’s a tape player that can be easily operated with big, colorful buttons, but it’s also a kind of karaoke machine, letting kids use the included microphone to sing along with the music, or sing a cappella. As if that wasn’t enough, there are multiple settings to warp your voice to sound like a monster, robot, bunny, or Martian. You might have to use your imagination to hear how some of the settings sound like what they’re supposed to (and what does a bunny sound like anyway?), but once you start experimenting with Voice Warp, it’s addictive fun even if you’re a big person. Don’t worry though, you can turn the filter off to hear your normal voice. --David Stoesz ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars very durable
I have the older version of this player. My daughter got it for Christmas when she was 3 and she still plays with it. (she is now 10) Her brother has also used it and now my Granddaughter has started to play with it. It has been bounced up and down stairs and even banged against the wall a time or two. It still plays and sounds good. My kids have enjoyed it so much that my Granddaughter is getting one of her own for her birthday this month.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun Voice Machine!
We bought this recorder for our son when he turned 3. I wanted him to have freedom to play his own tapes and also the fun of doing the cool voices. I didn't realize just how much he would actually like this. Not only does he carry it around and talk on it constantly- so does his 1 yr. sister (and his parents, too!). We have laughed so much playing with this as a family. I was hesitant about purchasing this at first but now I am so glad I did!

2-0 out of 5 stars Playback broke very quickly
As at least one other person noted, there is sometimes too much feedback when singing in to the mike. The unit seams built very strongly and is very heavy (too heavy to be carried and played with at the same time), but after very little use, the play button has stopped functioning on the tape player. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars This Game Is Awesome!
I think this game is really fun!!! I have Volume 3, and My cousin had volume 1 and now has volume 3, and we both think that this game is really fun. For people who love to sing like I do, This is one of the best video games ever. My friend and I play for hours. I haven't played volume 2 yet, but by looking at the list of songs that are on the game, I think it would bea lot of fun! I REALLY recommend this game!

4-0 out of 5 stars Not As Good As Volume 3 But Still Fun
I have a few comments.First, I'm quite ticked that they have I'll Make Love To You on the disk.I would have given this disk a 5 out of 5 if it weren't for that one thing. We play this game with a 9 year old and an 11 year old. They do have it censored by saying "I'm going to take off my charm" or something instead of "off my clothes."But it helps little. (Volume 3 I have *no* complaints as far as the kids go for song choice on the disk.)

The songs to choose from for karaoke competition are as follows:
Song List (all below are "originally by"):
1) Baby One More Time (originally by Britney Spears)
2) Born to Be Wild (originally by George Thouroughgood and the Delaware Destroyers)
3) Every Breath You Take (The Police)
4) Friends in Low Places (Garth Brooks)
5) Genie In A Bottle (Christina Aguilera)
6) Heartbreak Hotel (Elvis)
7) Here Without You (3 Doors Down)
8) Hot Stuff (Donna Summer)
9) I Believe in a Thing Called Love (The Darkness)
10) I Will Survive (Gloria Naylor)
11) Irresistible (Jessica Simpson)
12) It's My Life (No Doubt covering Talk Talk's version)
13) Jessie's Girl (Rick Springfield)
14) Lady Marmalade (Patti LaBelle)
15) My Girl (The Temptations)
16) Papa Don't Preach (Madonna)
17) Rock and Roll All Nite (Kiss)
18) Sittin on the Dock of the Bay (Otis Redding)
19) Sweet Home Alabama (Lynyrd Skynyrd)
20) The First Cut is the Deepest (Sheryl Crow)
21) Toxic (Britney Spears)
22) Virtual Insanity (Jamiroquai)
23) We Are Family (Sister Sledge)
24) White Flag (Dido)
Those are the songs listed on the back. Also included on the disk:
25) Cry (Waterfront? Kim Marsh? I don't know)
26) Drift Away (Doobie Brothers)
27) I Hate Everything About You (Three Days Grace)
28) I'll Make Love To You (Boyz II Men)
29) I'm With You (Avril Lavigne)
30) I've Got You Under My Skin (I have no idea. So many artists have covered this.)
31) Let's Get It On (Marvin Gaye)
32) Miss You (Aaliyah or Mariah Carey??)
33) Perfect (Alanis Morissette I *think*)
34) The Joker (Steve Miller Band)
...And I think I'm missing one because the back said 35 songs. Oh well.

Sometimes we let our 9-year-old be on the Easy level, and that helps him to do just as well as we do."Adjustable difficulty levels ensures that anyone can be a karaoke star," it says on the back of the box.And it's true.

The songs were recorded as close to by the original artists as possible, and they did a great job with that. The First Cut is the Deepest is pretty much the only song that really, really doesn't sound like the original artist (Sheryl Crow). But it still sounds pretty good. You sing along and choose how loud you want your own voice versus the recorded voice to be.It works really well that way.Sometimes I wish I could hear my own voice more through the speakers, but I think that is our own setup.

I do indeed recommend this product to others.Volume 3 is the best, though!! :)

2-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic concept, just not for me
As a big fan of the Bemani series of arcade music games (such as Dance Dance Revolution, Guitar Freaks and Beatmania), I was pumped when I heard about the first installment of this game. It's basically DDR for your voice.

However, as I soon found out, my voice apparently doesn't work as well as my feet, and even though I didn't have too much trouble passing songs, hearing my own voice through TV speakers was more than a little discomfiting.

Still, when KR2 came out, I decided to give it a second chance.I was sorely disappointed at the lack of new material, though. All the songs are new, but there's not much in the way of interesting genres... only pop, a few country songs, a few oldies and a stale rock song or two.More troubling, there's only a few new venues - the rest are repeated from the first game.

The first game has an option to load an expansion disc. This game should have been made an expansion disc and we all could have saved $20.

But don't listen to me.If you love singing, you will love this game, and you'll play it all night like I play DDR.If you don't like singing - don't bother trying. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars We love our log cabin
We love our log cabin, (...) Well we keep ours inside in the VERY LARGE basement/office. We also like that this house is not, "gender specific" being that we have two sets of twins, 3 year old b/g and 8 month old b/b. Our 3 year olds VERY MUCH enjoy this. Its great for imaginitive play, for an example, after they heard the story "little red riding hood" in nursery school, they came home and acted it out! They love to open and close the shutters, and I like that the "door" is really like a gate, so I can hear and see them. They have climed on the roof, which isnt recomended, but we dont bother them abnout it unless it gets dangerous (we have a soft ABC puzzle padding underneath to keep it from ruining the carpet anyway!)We dont face the bug and weather problems, and we needed this for indoor use anyway. When its not very nice out this is a GREAT toy to play with. OUtside we have a swingset, sandbox and a pool. This really isnt great for outdoor use in our opinion. I have seen MANY playhouses like this one, that are soley kept outdoors and no one p lays in them because there are bugs and yucky water and its a little gross. Inside there is no problem!. It was VERY hard to dissasemble, so I am glad we wont have to do that for MANY years, but putting it back together just took some dishsoap! All in all this is a very cute and durable playhouse, but I recomend all houses like this to be kept indoors if you want people to actually play inside it :).

3-0 out of 5 stars Good Sturdy Product, but also a bug magnet
My husband and I bought this for our son when he was 3. It was one of the few play houses he could walk into without having to duck. (he's very tall for his age) So that was a plus! Not too bad to put together, but after a few times, he never played in it. We realized (and guessed) becuase it was so dark inside that there were tons of spiders and webs in there. When we finally decided to get rid of it, we discovered it was infested with spiders.
The next play house I would by for outdoor use, I would make sure it was very bright inside, and or partially opened on top.

5-0 out of 5 stars GrandParent Best Gift Ever
This has been the best gift ever.It did not take my son-in-law any time to put together. My grandson who is 2 1/2 years old LOVES it.
Thank you for a great product Little Tykes!

The parachute gambit is a teacher's secret weapon--a tried-and-true way to annihilate the afternoon blahs. At approximately 9 feet in diameter, with handles all the way around for little (or big) hands to grab, this sunny Playchute Parachute is just smaller than the classroom standard. Fling it into the air and watch it drift down. Run underneath it and watch the colors rain down. Throw a few stuffed animals in the center and bounce them around. Simple, satisfying thrills, and worth every penny. --Claire Dederer ... Read more

The SUV of wagons, the Radio Flyer Discovery Wagon--in traditional redwith the familiar Radio Flyer logo on each side--features everything thatexplorative, toy-hauling kids need for getting around in style. 5-0 out of 5 stars Sturdy, Fun, Worth the money
Last Spring my husband and I bought this wagon for an up and coming camping trip for our then 1 1/2 year old and our 3 1/2 year old. This wagon is a lot of fun.It has a compartment to put drinks or other items in. The sides are nice and high so no one can fall out and it is wide enough for them to sit with their legs crossed. It also has a high clearance which we were shocked by.We were able to go over curbs and high dirt area's with no problem. The handle is nice and long so your not bending down to pull the wagon. It isn't metal so you don't have to worry about paint chipping, scratches or dents. It wipes clean or you can just hose it off. The sides come off so you can store it easier or put it in your trunk or storage compartment on your RV. You can also use it to move around other things besides children. We use it to move around bags of dirt, potting soil, wood chips, etc. in the back yard. This isn't a small wagon that they will grow out of any time soon. We are very happy with this wagon and would suggest buying it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Worth Every Dollar!
We did quite a bit of comparison shopping when choosing this wagon for our son's first birthday. Although it was expensive - we liked this wagon for its size (it can easily pull 3 kids), storage compartment, cup holders, and easy ride. It ha sgone on trips all over the neighborhood, even on vacation to the beach - where I personally had no issues pulling it across the sand loaded w/ baby, towels, etc. As for it's durability, my husband even used it temporarily as a 2nd wheelbarrow to move bricks until I caught him in the act. The plastic (which is very tough stuff) wasn't even scratched! We love this wagon and expect to enjopy it for many years to come.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great wagon for kids and dogs too !
We just got this wagon and we have not stopped using it, not only does my son love it, our dogs love it too! We have two Boston Terrier Dogs who love sitting it in and they love going for walks in it. That is how roomy this wagon is - you can fit a child and two dogs! It keeps my son busy watching the dogs so we are all happy. It also fits two children very comfortably as we used it when he friend came over last week, they were both so content, they seemed to really enjoy the smooth ride and the room they both had ! I would recommend this to anyone, I know we are going to get a lot of use out of this one !I really liked this wagon because my son is only 14 months and I was concerned about him bumping his head on the old fashioned kind, this one is great ! ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Thinking about it
I`m looking for a toy that will be both good inside and out. I know this is for outside but if you have the space and want a cool place to chill out, this might be it! I haven't purchsed this toy but it looks like a lot of fun! The only reson I rated this toy 3 stars for durability is because of other reviews. I know I said I don't have it yet but I could'nt write this review without giving it stars. So don't decide if you will buy this toy because of me.

1-0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
I agree with the other disappointed review. The rainbow didn't curve, the dolphins didn't stand up, and the pool kept deflating (obviously a hole in it). Too much work for a nice sunny day when I just want to go out and play with my toddler, not work while my toddler plays. I'm going back to a standard plastic pool after this experience.

"Sunsparkle" Pony's Celebration Castle requires basic construction, but putting it together with a grownup will be a fun adventure, as Pony lovers see the charming structure taking form. Once finished, "Sunsparkle" (an included and somewhat rare Pony) can happily trot around her master bedroom, vanity room, disco, kitchen, and a bathroom. Each room features furnishings or appliances that have clever innovations, such as a stove that doubles as a kitchen sink. There's also a working elevator, full-length mirror, hot air balloon, two balconies, tableware, Pony clothing, and a brush for "Sunsparkle's" mane. As a gift, a sparkling pink, child-sized crown is included. To top it all off, the castle features charming music and flashing lights on the disco dance floor! 5-0 out of 5 stars Great Toy
I read all the previous reviews and I was concerned about things falling off the castle. However, the only thing that comes apart is the attachable heart and sometimes one side of the hot air balloon which is easy to attach by an adult.I have a 2 1/2 year old and she is not destructive and she LOVES this toy.I think you should disregard all the negative reviews and PURCHASE this toy.I have not regretted it in the month we have had it.The Dance Studio is great, too.
If your child loves My Little Pony then, you HAVE to BUY the CASTLE.

1-0 out of 5 stars my little pony celebration castle
This toy is a piece of junk.Keeps falling apart.Would not recommend this toy to anyone.

3-0 out of 5 stars Cute as heck!Be prepared to glue the pieces on.
I have to give this castle an A + for how it looks. It is just plain cute! The castle comes with some very fun playing pieces, flower pot, kitchen sink that the ponies can open with their magnetic hooves, and, plates and forks that are fun.Cute design. The poor aspects of this toy are: It is poorly manufactured and I was close to taking it back until I decided to super glue the pieces on.After that, I was much more satisfied with the overall product. We threw out the crown - piece of junk that you couldn't wear anyway and the hot air balloon was tossed because it was "tired" looking but I kept the basket part the balloon went on so the ponies could stand on top of the castle. We have a little bit of difficulty getting the music to play when the pony steps on the platform and the stickers were out of control!I am hesitant to buy my little pony playsets, but we love the quality of the ponies themselves and my daugher who is 4 and I have spent a lot of time braiding the ponies hair and brushing them to look cute!Should have bought more ponies instead of the castle... ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Finally a LeapFrog toy my son and I both agree on!
LeapFrog products have disappointed us in the past, so it took a lot of research on my part to consider a LeapPad for my son.Overall, I'm satisfied with the quality of this toy, but question the overall educational value of the LeapPad books. It amuses my son for hours a week, and when traveling, which we do frequently, it's a godsend.William took to the LeapPad immediately, and was able to operate the features of the books with little assistance. He's not yet 4, but instinctively follows along even though he may be working a Kindergarten book.

LeapFrog has very few books that are microphone enhanced (only 7 so far), and the stores don't seem to stock them.My husband was able to find one at Staples of all places, but he didn't happen to notice it was for 1st graders. My son was so thrilled, we opened it anyway.Initially I thought the microphone feature was ridiculous.I couldn't understand why a parent would want to hear their little one chatter back to a noisy machine.Part of the purpose of this toy, is to encourage quiet time, and learning.Right?Well, this feature has proven to be entertaining, and actually has the potential to be educational especially when working on phonics.A pair of headphones really comes in handy when listening to your child play the microphone enhanced books.I definitely recommend a set!

The writing aspects of the toy encourage me for the future. We have 2 writing books, in addition to the writing book that came with the unit, and they have gotten a lot of use already. When in writing mode, it's one on one interaction between parent and child. These books work without the pencil insert, and sometime William opts to work them that way.Unlike some of the regular LeapPad books, the writing books are educational in my view. The Kindergarten books show children how to trace letters & numbers, work mazes, draw shapes, and so forth.I question the age recommendations on the books though, as my child has already mastered the Pre-Kindergarten book, and understands a good portion of the Kindergarten book.LeapFrog has recently added more writing books to their library, so they are not as limited as the microphone books. My biggest problem with the writing feature is that erasing crinkles the pages, and the lead leaves grooves behind. It might have been better had LeapFrog designed this product with a dry erase type of insert, and coated the pages with plastic. That probably would increase the cost of the books, but how many tracing letters & numbers books do you need?

This brings up another problem I have with the LeapPad in general. The books are expensive. If one pays the suggested retail price for this product, and adds just 2 books, that's big bucks!I personally don't think the books are worth the suggested retail price, so I bought a bunch at 50% off, and plan to stock up when the next sale comes along.

We have encountered cord malfunctions too.The first time it was user abuse. My son bit the stylus pen, and must have damaged the cable.William is a lefty, and even though the cord is long at 16", it must annoy him, because it's installed on the right side giving right handed folks more room to work.I recently discovered the replacement pen is malfunctioning too.I went ahead and order 2 more pens at $5.00 each.Toy stores carry replacement pens, but they don't sale the stylus pen yet, so we have to wait 2-weeks for another.Because of this, the LeapPad is a somewhat supervised activity.I definitely don't trust my son with the Magic Pencil yet, and since I've already paid $15.00 on replacement pens, I can't quite image how much more I'll be pouring out on additional books, and batteries.I've replaced the batteries once, which isn't bad considering he played with his LeapPad for hours upon hours during our recent trip to New England. In addition, I don't trust him to remember to put both the book and cartridge back in his backpack when he's done. Thus, for the meantime, I control those aspects of the toy.

The LeapPad Plus Writing & Microphone Learning System works with the entire LeapPad library, except for the My First LeapPad books.LeapFrog selects the maximum age recommendation of this product to be 8-years old, so that it will confuse consumers into purchasing the Quantum LeapPad four-years later. This platform is compatible with the Quantum library, so there's no need to buy another LeapPad.This irrates me a bit, but overall I am satisfied with this toy, and my son loves it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great educational toy.
My 3 year old daughter received this as a gift. It's the same as the LeapPad, except that it has the added writing feature and microphone feature. The writing pen is the same as the LeapPad, except that you can twist the stylus to allow real pencil lead to come out, and then you can write on certain LeapPad Plus Writing books. The downside of this is that after they write on the book, you have to erase it!But you can also opt NOT to use the pencil lead.(You don't need it for the large majority of books).I simply took the stylus out and let my 3 year old play without it.For those who already own the LeapPad Plus Writing system, you can buy a separate microphone attachment. But this system has both already.

I would say that 3 years old is the youngest age that I would try this system, and probably 4 years old is better. My daughter knows all the letters and their sounds already, but she still enjoys the simpler books, like the Princess Book, over the more academic books, like the Phonics program books.

It's a pricey toy, and I still think that reading old-fashioned books is more important. But for a certain subset of kids, having the electronic features makes it more interesting. If you're trying to save money, then just get the systems without the writing or microphone features. You will still get a lot of benefit.

The younger kids, like ages 3 and 4, will still need parental supervision, although they seem to learn how to use it quickly. My 3 year old knows how to insert the cartridge, press ON, and tap on the "GO" sign on every page.

We're very happy with this item, and I would buy it again!

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent for early writing!
LeapFrog does it again! I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that they keep coming out with the best educational toys. My 5 year old daughter loves hers! She won't put it down, she wants to play with it first thing in the morning and it's the last thing she sees at night (besides me:) What a wonderful toy, and I feel good about it because it's educational and she loves it because it's fun! You can't lose:) ... Read more

Centered around a rotary circling a fountain, this colorful little village is home to a schoolhouse, where Kathleen teaches class; a grocery store, manned by grizzled shopkeeper Sam; and a grassy town square, where a little boy, Eddie, rides around on a skateboard. Any of them can hop onto the xylophone, guitar, or saxophone stand and perform a music concert in the park. The roadway and sidewalk spin, allowing Sam or Kathleen to cruise around in a car. This is the kind of toy that brings out the imagination in children. Our daughter loves to play with it everyday. She liked the video when we first got it but doesn't ask for it anymore. This toy keeps her busy enough to forget about the TV.I like that!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for kids of all ages.
My three-year-old and my eight-month-old both love this toy.My baby loves putting things on the road and watching them/trying to get them back off as it spins. My older son loves role-playing, especially with the school portion. It is a very big set.I underestimated how much room it would take up.The volume is a little loud.I also wish they would have made more than one song for when the road is spinning.Gets a little grating after a while.Still well worth it.

5-0 out of 5 stars greatest toy to keep the kids from being tv junkies
I must say!!! this is the best thing i've purchased for my kids yet!!!. I dont know what some people are complaining about with the platform not being very strong. While we were building it which took a nice 5 hours we had to stand on the top platform to work some of the screws in and it held my brother inlaw who's pushing 200 lbs without a problem. the ladder is spaced far enough apart so my 18 month old cant get up without help but my almost 5 year old is all over this thing. All they want to do is go out and play. I highly recomend this toy. My back yard looks like little tykes land.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome Set for Kids
My kids are 8, 4 & 2 and they absolutely love their playset. We bought it back in the spring and they have played on it everyday that they possibly can. Sure, it took us about a day to get it together, but it was well worth it.My kids will play all day on this thing.Even the neighbor kids come and play with no problems. We usually have kids from age 12 and down on the playset. It holds my weight on the swings/teetertotter.The fort does seem a bit unstable, but it does hold a lot of weight. The only problem I have with it, is my 2 year old can't climb the ladder on the back or the rope ladder, so we have to lift her up.We even removed one of the big kid swings and put up her baby swing.

4-0 out of 5 stars Well worth it
I don't agree at all with the negative product reviews for this swing set. Although it took my husband and father the better part of a day to put it together, once assembled it was obvious that this was a quality product. We did have to anchor it to the ground, but I would have done that regardless of the type of swing set we bought. The fort is solid and is able to hold my 4 year old and her two cousins at the same time. The slide is a good height, the rope ladder is tight and shows no signs of wear after months of play, the swing spacing is adequate for kids to get on and off when others are swinging. I question whether the other reviewers had the swing located in a proper place in the yard to allow room to move in front and in back of the swings. The only problem I had was that water collected in the teeter totter-a simple hole drilled in each side eliminated that problem. I'm very happy with the swing, much prefer this over a metal set that might rust or a wooden one that would splinter. I would definitely recommend this set to others. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Got after seeing the Dr. Phil Show ;0)
I just bought this for my 2 yr old son, after seeing the Dr. Phil show I thought it couldn't hurt to try his way ;0) I just got this doll and will start to potty train my son, so I am not sure if it will work yet or not. I hope so. But the doll, both my kids love, my 7 yr old daughter and my 2 yr old son. They both love to play with the doll.

As others have stated, it is a little hard for the little ones to feed the doll. You do have to push the cup or bottle in the mouth all the way or it will drip out. But my daughter has mastered that task now, my son still needs me to help feed the baby doll. I gave them an old baby bib of my sons to put around the doll's neck when they feed her, that way there isn't much to clean up if it does drip out.

The way the doll wont leak is what I love. She will not go potty until you sit her on the potty. That is great! No mess that way and that was well worth it for me. The little diaper they give you are on the cheap side, and hard to get on the doll. But the clothes are off the doll more than on with my kids.

I wish they had this doll in a boy though but this will work just fine I think. I would recommend this doll to anyone, very cute for all ages, esp' the potty training age ;0)
