its okay
okay this doll looks like a country hill billy but in person she is okay

Great toy for play in and out of the bathtub!
My daughter is 6 and has truly enjoyed these dolls...she also has Color-change Mulan. I read another review where the mom complained of using an ice cube to make the 'tattoos' reveal. We tried the same and it worked great! Whenever my daughter takes a bath, I just put an ice cube in the little cup that come with the doll and it makes the water col enough for the tattoos to appear. Not a problem. And her hair hasn't became unmanageable. 5 stars for the color change dolls!

Original is nicer
The original Toddler Princess Ariel is nicer than this one, it seems to me, that they "cheapened her up" for this doll. I mean, yea, she's still an Ariel doll, but the whole color change thing is really ugly. Especially the design on her face, it just looks awful! Also her mermaid outfit is weird, it's not the same as her real mermaid outfit, the tail especially is horrible, with the purple swirl down the middle...yuck!

Still, she's made very well, and if you can't get the original one, this one is ok to settle for. Maybe some people actually like the color changing thing. She comes with a purple seahorse that squirts water, a shell shaped water holder (for color changing), a hairbrush, a strange necklace, and boldly colored...hair extensions....eww. ... Read more

Perfect first action figure....
My husband & I bought this on sale for our sons birthday in a few months.We tried the megaphone (they have a tester button on the package)it is really cool. I really think that my son will enjoy him.I agree with the reviewer about Billy reminding them of the old GI Joe dolls, but hopefully Billy is better made; I remember getting fingers pinched in my GI Joe dolls joints.My son is into firefighters now so he will be just perfect.

Loved it for a few minutes until the megaphone didn't work!
My son received this toy as a birthday gift and we couldn't get it out of the box fast enough.He was so excited and couldn't wait to play with it.It didn't take us long to figure out that the megaphone only partially worked.We couldn't talk into it like we were supposed to.I changed the batteries hoping that would help.Then it didn't work at all!I put different batteries in, changed them around, everything.I finally unscrewed the thing and looked at the wires.I was surprised to see the wires being held together with string and masking tape!Low and behold, a wire was lose.I tried to fix it and ended up breaking it entirely...within 10 minutes of having the toy.My son is so disappointed that I'll probably end up having to go buy a whole new one just for the darn megaphone!I'm going to see if Fisher-Price will send me a replacement part, but I'm not counting on it.

Big Billy Is A Big Hit!!
I purchased this item for my six year old son who is a die hard Rescue Heroes enthusiast. He LOVES it! The megaphone was a lot of fun for him, and he likes the idea of having a larger action hero to play with. For me and my husband, it was very reminiscent of our old GI Joe dolls. Rescue Heroes are great toys with an equally good message. We own most of the line, and Fisher Price should be applauded for not only making a quality toy at a reasonable cost, but for constantly evolving the line so there are always new things to buy at holiday and birthday time! ... In store better prices!
Wonderful toy, however you can get it for a little over $2 in store at Toys-R-Us while they are having their 70% off sale. I went to Toys-R-Us and bought over $70 worth of Harry Potter toys and it rang up to only $25!

Spectacular Sculpt Of An Older Harry
Let's face it, Harry is getting to be a big boy now.This figure captures that very well.The attention to detail is brilliant.Purchasing it only as a collectable, I'm very pleased with this action figure.I only hope that there is a Ron or Hermione figure out if another movie is made, so that I'll have all three of the youngsters for my collection.

The toy shoots its "spells" like any other toy of this caliber.It isn't very educational unless you think that kids will read more "Harry" books after being inspired by this toy.The toy holds up very well, but I've only used it a couple of times because I purchased it simply for my collection of figures from film and books.

We thought this was the coolest of the three Batman Deluxe Figures. Tech Armor Batman wears graphite colored armor adorned with a silvery green breast plate and shin guards. He's articulated at the forearms, wrists, waist, knees, legs, and neck. He's got an arsenal of weaponry including a laser cannon, claw arm, disc launcher and disc missile. The claw arm, which snaps tightly shut, is attached to a big mechanical-looking arm that branches from one of Batman's shoulders; you can also swap out the claw for the laser cannon. On the other side, the disc launcher clips on to his forearm, ready to fire a green disc-shaped missile with the Batman emblem cut out of it. He's got a stern look on his well-sculpted face, under the standard-issue bat mask with very pointy ears. His cape is cloth and hangs a little weakly off his back. As with the other two deluxe figures, we found the accessories a little hard to use; there are no instructions, and other than the pictures on the packaging, no guidance as how to use or attach the weaponry. --Megan Sullivan ... Impressive
This is possibly the first really worth while batman action figure toy I've seen in a long time. The sculpting is very precise. When I get this action figure it will be the pride of my collection.And if your worried that it won't be worth the money. I assure you that it will be well worth the money.

Dark Knight with all the trimmings.
This is another one of mattel's repaints and hence Batman variations. But unlike several of the other figures, this one actually works for me. It shows Batman as a futuristic knight with a bunch of techno accessories. The color scheme also works great. One downside about the accessories, as with all mattel figures ther doesn't seem to be any instructions on how to place them on the figure save for the picture on the back of the box. And since, this one has by far the most accessories it gets a little confusing for kids (some adults also). All in all, the good outweighs the confusing therefore it's a good buy. ... Read more

The greatest third baseman of all-time crushing a baseball
I wonder what Mike Schmidt thinks of Alex Rodriguez moving from shortstop to third base.I also wonder what Honus Wagner thinks about it, but since Schmidt is still one of the living it would be his opinion that matters more in the current debate.Schmidt and Wagner would be my choices for the left side of the infield on my All-Time Baseball Team.Wagner's position was pretty secure until A-Rod came along, but not that he has started playing third base it could be Schmidt that has to worry about his status as the greatest player at his position who ever lived.

Schmidt provided a combination of power and defense at the hot corner that gets him to the top of the list (i.e., more home runs than Brooks Robinson and better fielding than Eddie Mathews).A right-handed slugger who hit 548 home runs in his career he holds the single season mark for the position with 48 homers in 1980 (A-Rod will not get the record for homers while playing third for a career, but for a single season?Do not bet against him after he belted three last night at the Stadium, but remember that Schmidt hit four in row in one game in 1976).Named to the All-Star team 12 times and the winner of 10 Gold Gloves, Schmidt was named the Player of the Decade for the 1980s by the "Sporting News." Enough said.

I think this is one of the better sports figures that McFarlane Toys has put out, showing Schmidt at the moment of contact as he is about to tell Mr. Spalding to go long.Schmidt is wearing the blue jersey of the Philadelphia Phillies and his number 20 (now retired).He was a tough guy in a tough town (is there a tougher sports town to be a home player in than Philadelphia?The only thing worse was Tehran when Saddam's son was running the Iraqi Olympic program), and this 6" figure captures him perfectly.This is clearly the best of the figures in this second series of current and future Hall of Famers.

The rest of the MLB Cooperstown Series 2 figures are for Jim "Catfish" Hunter of the Oakland A's, Cal Ripken, Jr. of the Baltimore Orioles, Willie Stargell of the Pittsburgh Pirates, Willie Mays playing for the San Francisco Giants, and that Babe Ruth fellow who hit a whole lot of home runs without ever taking steroids (not to mention ever playing a major league game at night, on the West Coast, or against an African-American pitcher: no wonder baseball fans like to argue out the relative merits of old-timers versus the ballplayers of today). If you missed Series 1 then you need to track down Yogi Berra, Bob Gibson, Reggie Jackson, Brooks Robinson, Nolan Ryan and Tom Seaver. It is really great that McFarlane Toys is going back to these great old school players and I am waiting to see who they come up with next (Honus Wagner would be nice). ... Read more

Yanks - Sox rivalry, it doesnt get better than this!
This is an awesome collectors item for a yankee or red sox fan. Youve got Jeter a guy who has won 4 WS rings in 8 years in the Bigs and Nomar who is one of the top 3 SS's in the game, and is a great player all around also. On top of that its the YANKEES vs REDSOX!! Must have for any Jeter or No-Mah fan. Very nice mcfarlane piece.

Once thing the Alex Rodriguez deal did was to make the debate as to who is the best shortstop in baseball still playing the position of shortstop relatively simple (that debate is worthy of another star in the educational value rating).Here we have the two prime contenders, Nomar Garciaparra of the Boston Red Sex sliding into second base in an attempt to break up a double-play, but Derek Jeter of the New York Yankees has already fired the ball off to first base.Come to think of these figures also can be considered educational because Nomar is showing perfect form on the slide and Jeter is doing likewise on the throw to first.

Of course the question is whether Yankee fans will be able to tolerate having a figure of Nomar (he is clearly out already, which should make it more palatable) or that BoSox fans can endure having Jeter in the house (he finally got his batting average over .200, so there really would not be a debate except that Garciaparra has not played a game yet this year, just another ironic aspect to the big debate).The key details on this pair of 6" figures this time is actually the base, where Nomar's slide has smoothed out the dirt behind him and already thrown dirt on the first base side of the second base bag.McFarlane usually manages to come up with some nice details on these figures, which set the standard for action figures, even if they are only movie characters and not sports stars.

These are actually one of two McFarlane Toys figures for both players to come up this year.The Nomar Garciaparra 2 figure came out with McFarlane's MLB Series 9 and the Derek Jeter 2 figure will be part of MLB Series 10.The second 2-Pack has Todd Helton holding Sammy Sosa at first.It will be interesting to see see what other combinations they can come up with in this format: Mike Piazza getting reading to tag Roger Clemens at the plate, Ichiro beating the throw to Jason Giambi at first, Chipper Jones letting Andruw Jones catch the ball in left center, Alex Rodriguez at bat with Ivan Rodriguez catching, etc.There could be some interesting possibilities with this format.

We can also look forward to the first series in the Cooperstown Collection this summer, which will have living Hall of Fame members Yogi Berra, Bob Gibson, Reggie Jackson, Brooks Robinson, Nolan Ryan, and Tom Seaver.There will also be 12" figures of Ryan and Sammy Sosa around World Series time as McFarlane Toys continues to expand its sports figure lines. ... Awesome paint job on batman. But the reason we're all buying this is for nightwing. Good sculpt, cool Billy clubs. Overall a very cool two pack. I rated the education 2 because you don't learn much from them. Action figures are supposed to be fun not educational. Still very good. A+

Coolest Nightwing Figure
In the beginning, Mattel looked as if they were going to just keep pumping out Hasbro type figures, with the early 2-pack series, and the Justice League figures.
Being a serious collector, I would buy them, anyway, but, I would not be happy.
After a phone call to Mattel, I was assured my complaints and suggestions would be taken into consideration.
Apparently they were, because then came the new Batman line; highly articulate and a great sculpt.
This particular set features the single best Nightwing figure ever. He looks cool, and has a fresh look to him.
Mattel has done very well with this series. This 2 pack would receive a score of 100%, except they re-released it in series 3.
That alone drops the score.
Bottom line:
Pro's: Best Nightwing sculpt ever. Nice set of accesories. Competively priced (...)
Cons: A second release in the 3rd wave with no alterations, is rediculous.
Final Score: 85. (100% for the first edition).

nightwing is a great toy and his outfit is cool I love the night sticks he makes the set worth bying. but batman is wearing a ninja type suit, it's really ugly the silver shines way to bright. mattel is doing a great job on these new batman toys I dont even play with toys really but these toys have been making me play with them but i also think that mattel should make toys like mr.freeze,two-face and clayface ect. Disappointing Tank
Each of my two sons received a tank from their Grandparents.Great toy until the tracks broke.After just a few weeks of use they broke into several pieces and cannot be repaired.Kids do not play with them anymore because they do not move.Very disappointing.

Great Tank!
After my son played with this in the toy store for 30 minutes I came home and ordered it for him last year for Christmas. He was 3 1/2 and he loved the fun sound effects. The commander yells "ready, aim, fire" along with other military phrases as the tank lights up, shakes and makes blasting noises that anyboy would love to imitate.It is a favorite when any young boycomes to visit from age 2 to his 8 year old cousin! After almost a year of ownership the only thing we had break was one of the guns (probably got stepped on. 5 stars all the way because it is so popular and used so much around here. Note: we have only used this truck indoors.

Not Rugged At All
Bought as an Xmas gift, by June all the sections of the tracks
have separated. Tank is just a thing that makes noise now.
No idea how to repair the treads, won't move without them. ... Read more

Baseball's reigning Iron Man fields a grounder at short
I have to say that when I heard Cal Ripken, Jr. was going to be part of McFarlane Toy's MLB Cooperstown Series 2 that I was hoping they would show him taking his famous lap around Camden Yard when he broke Lou Gehrig's record for consecutive games played.Instead we have Ripken, wearing the home white jersey of the Baltimore Orioles, playing a ground ball at shortstop.Notice his technique: Ripken is going to use both hand to catch the ball when it bounces into his glove and that his eyes are on the ball.That is the key detail with this 6" figure and represents the type of solid ballplayer that Ripken was throughout his major league career.No wonder this was a guy who played with one team his 20-season entire career in a time when most other stars were always finding they could earn more money to play somewhere else.

Ripken is not yet in the Hall of Fame, but his election to Cooperstown is a foregone conclusion when he becomes eligible next year.Ripken won the American League Rookie of the Year award in 1982 and was named Most Valuable Player the following season when the Orioles won the World Series and won the M.V.P. again in 1991.At the end of his career Ripken had a .276 average, 431 home runs and 1,695 runs batted in.Before Ripken All-Star shortstops were in the mold of Luis Aparicio, Bert Campaneris and Ozzie Smith.After Ripken they were power hitters like Alex Rodriguez, Nomar Garciappara, and Miguel Tejada. Elvis Fans Would Love This On Display
I would like to first address that this figurine is not really a representation of the 60s Elvis, but a representation of the 50s Elvis.The way the typography of his name is displayed is ripped right from Elvis's first RCA recording album cover, including the look and style of the figurine.Second, this really isn't a toy, you can't really play with this, but it is a great display piece.The crafstmanship of the figurine is incredible, it really looks like Elvis.It's very clean and put together very well.This figurine is the embodiment of the rocker Elvis and an icon of rock n' roll as a whole.I love this piece, and I am very happy I got it.Out of the 3 Elvis figurines that McFarlane Toys have created, this is the best one yet, hands down. ... One of the All-time Great Goalies
What a great thing it is to see one of the all-time great, yet under-rated goalies commemorated by this high quality figure.

The Marty Brodeur toy hoisting the cup will look great sitting on any fan's shelf as a reminder of some of the great Devil team's (can you say dynasty?) that dominated the sport while the Red Wings were rebuilding.

It's great to see Brodeur getting his due.

After years of being over looked the greatest Devils goalie finally gets his due! A fantastic piece for any fan of the sport to proudly display!!
