5-0 out of 5 stars Fisher Price Does It Again
For an absolutely wonderful way to expand your child's imagination, fisher price has the goods. ALL of their toys are well built and able to withstand even the most adventorous toddlers, my son adores this product. I bought it for my neice and she loves it as well. You can't go wrong with anything with the FP name.

3-0 out of 5 stars Disappointed ... not as good as most Little People toys
This toy really doesn't do much. There are two sounds. The fire truck and the rescue vehicle shoot out the station doors. The vehicles don't have the pegs that hold the firemen. The firefighters fall out easily. We were disappointed. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Kids who love Thomas the Tank Engine may recall the fun when Henry and the Elephant came to the Island of Sodor via the Circus Train. Made of sturdy wood and plastic, this set of three cars comes with five wooden animals: an elephant, a lion, a tiger, a zebra, and a giraffe. Like all cars and engines in the system, these link together via a sturdy and reliable system of magnets. Use them as components in a whole miniature world of train-car characters, wooden tracks, and scenery based on the popular Thomas the Tank Engine book, television, and video series. This product has a lifetime warranty. --Joan DeClaire ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Fun, but can't use the pieces
This is a fun set, except the animals do not fit through any of the tunnuls. We use the open box-cars for the barels that go with another set.If you are only going to use the animals without any tunnels, which is difficult with small children (they love tunnels), its a fun set.If you set up big train configs...get something else.

4-0 out of 5 stars Lots of fun... but size is a problem!
My son recently received the Circus Train for his 2nd birthday. He was really excited to see the animals, and loves to put them in the cage cars and drive them around the track. He has been very frustrated, however, because his train can't fit through any tunnels or bridges when the animals are on board - the animals are just too tall. I think the Circus Train would be a great addition to your Thomas Wooden Railway IF you don't have the bridges or tunnels to worry about. If you do have these items in your layout, I'd suggest the Ivo Hugh zoo set instead, as it is made to fit through those low clearance areas.

5-0 out of 5 stars This ones great
Although I don't think the little touch books are very durable, this one has great appeal to my little guy.He is 15 months old, and started doing all the animal sounds. This is a great book because it has real photo's, not cartoons. He loves this one!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great
This is a nice book. Both my two year old son and I like it a lot.It has the normal animals like DOG and LION, but also unexpected animals like DINGO.It shows the animals according to their habitat and you can hear the animals' names and their actual sounds, plus extra miscellaneous activities.

5-0 out of 5 stars First introduction to animals
I bought the Animal family photos for my granddaughter at the time she was one.The first attraction was the animal sounds, then she was relating the animals to the sounds they make to identifing the animal by name.My granddaughter is two now and she sure knows her animals. The little tidbits about the animals are good and easy for little ones to understand.Of course she has her favorite animals she loves to listen too. Like all of LeapFrog products, this too is great! ... Read more

Busy little hands will discover plenty of projects to completewith this sturdy, pintsize workhorse. Less than 2 feet tall, it standseasily on the floor or on a table. The tan pounding bench has five holesinto which young carpenters can pound two chunky plastic nails or securetwo colorful screws hidden under the bench's flip top. Easy-grip plasticscrewdriver, hammer, and wrench also store under the pounding bench, oryou can hang them on pegs. 4-0 out of 5 stars awesome size and durabilty-- great for a young one
It really is very durable, all you have to do is push enough to lock legs in place- we have had NO problems with them staying in place. My child got it when he was 1 1/2 and is now 3 and still plays with it in his own imaginative way. It is also perfect if you don't want the big/huge workshops

5-0 out of 5 stars Little Tool Men
My son has had this toy for a long time, about 3 years. He loved it when he was a toddler, about 18 months and his sister enjoys it now as well. She is 17 months.
It has stood up to allot of play. Great toy! Defenately recomment this as a gift!

1-0 out of 5 stars A Big Disappointment
My daughter received this as a birthday present when she turned two.Unfortuantely, the directions for assembly were unclear, pictures only, and almost impossible to figure out. This toy was not at all what I thought it would be.My daughter loves to pretend to "fix" things and adores any kind of tools, but this toy was flimsy, hard to use (the gears are very tight), and very small for a two year old.We wanted something she could stand at to "work" on, but this is much too short. We returned it within a day of receiving it. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Good Toy but WAY to big!
I recently bought this toy for my 10 month old son.I was wanting a toy for his stroller. When I took it out of the box and tried installing it on his stroller I could never get it to securely fasten and the toy is WAY to big.I let my son play with it anyway and he seemed to like it but not worth keeping.

I am going to return this item because of two reasons: 1) To big for the stroller and 2) Don't like the fastening straps.

1-0 out of 5 stars doesn't attach to a 20 lb +car seat
we received this toy as a gift for a 1 year old daughter who liked to pretend she was driving.it didn't attach to a 20lb+ car seat. so obviously, it didn't stay in our child's lap for very long, and it would drop to the side. it wasn't entertaining either. we ended up selling it at a garage sale for $1. and instead we bought the mickey mouse driving wheel roadster that lights up and plays tunes, and it was an instant hit.

5-0 out of 5 stars I have 7 or 8 of them
My daughter loves this doll. It is her constant companion and comfort. She sucks on the hair -- who knows why?But since it's in her mouth constantly, I wash them constantly. They wash and dry very, very well in Woolite in the washing machine. The fabric has had everything imaginable on it, and it always comes completely clean -- except the area around the hair. After a few months, it does start to show drool stains (as another reveiwer noted), but I can't imagine what fabric wouldn't.So you have to replace Dolly every once in awhile, or ignore the stains.Fortunately, they're not terribly expensive, and they're readily available at lots of on-line stores, esp. Amazon.I'm pregnant with my second child, and I can't find any other "lovie"/doll that is a perfect as this one.I wish Eden made this particular doll in a different color!None of their other dolls compare.

5-0 out of 5 stars 3rd and going strong
we are on our third so soft baby girl doll for my daughter, the others got lost. We got the first one for my baby shower from my aunt and my daughter fell in love with it i then tried to get a spare just in case and couldn't find it anywhere and now that i found it i wish there was some kind of automatic shipper thatwould ship every 3-4 months :)

4-0 out of 5 stars Daughter's favorite "baby"
We bought this doll when we found out we were expecting a girl - my sister had one when she was a baby, so I bought it out of complete nostalgia. It is very soft and does not have a rattle inside like many soft dolls do.Because of this, we allowed my daughter to sleep with it at night - the ones with the rattles are so noisy once they learn to roll over, and would wake my daughter up.The only problem I have with this doll is that the material does not clean well --- it can be tossed in the washing machine, but if your baby totes the doll everywhere like my daughter, it can be very hard to get drool stains out.The doll does stay soft with washing though.Just do yourself a favor and buy two so that you can wash them often. ... Editorial Review

Frighteningly high above a deep ravine, Thomas the Tank Engine peers over the edge, wondering how he will get to the station on time. He's saved only by the immediate construction of a bridge that gets him clickity-clacking across in no time. The Reverend W. Awdry created the Island of Sodor as a place for childhood imagination to run free with his Thomas the Tank Engine series of books. The Sodor Bay Bridge expands opportunities for dreaming and connects to any of the tracks from the Thomas Wooden Railway System. Two train trestle bridges connect to span 25 inches. Manufactured by high-quality toy maker Learning Curve, the bridge is sturdily made of wood with blue plastic supports to endure years of adventurous play. --Lynne Sampson ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The Bay bridge is a must
Starting around age 2 the "World of Thomas" and his train friends became the biggest part of my son's days of play. If you are as deep into Thomas as my family is then the Sodor Bay Bridge is a must have. Hours and hours are spend pushing the toy trains over and under the bridge. Your first three starter purchases should be the trains, the tracks and then this bridge.Good Luck it is an expensive "world" your getting into!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars I LOVED it ... and so did my nephew
I ordered the bridge and then read the review that said the bridge didn't come with the ascending tracks. My trip to a local independent toy store confirmed the review. After purchasing additional tracks ... and driving 4 hours so that the tracks would make it in time for his 3rd birthday, he opened the box and I shocked to see the tracks he needed to connect the bridge to the rest of his set.I guess the manufacturer has addressed this issue....

I played with it (the bridge, figure 8 set with battery powered engine, and additional tracks) for a good hour before realizing I was enjoying it more than him!The tracks are extremely durable. My nephew and his brother and sister all loved it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Love this, but . . .
I bought this accessory for my 2-year-old son Sam, and he loves everything about it except the fact that there is not quite enough top clearance for trains to pass underneath -- You have to set the spans on blocks for that. I also agree that the set should include the ascending track, or at least anotice that it's sold separately. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun & Colorful Counting
This abacus has been loads of fun for my two year old who is just learning the counting basics. She loves to just sit and play with the beads or to count with the help of mom and dad.The wood and metal construction is very safe and durable like all Melissa and Doug toys. This will be a useful and fun learning tool for years to come.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun math toy

2-0 out of 5 stars LAMINATE THE BOOKS!
I think the idea for Littlefingers LeapPad was great...but those ingeneous engineers made one flaw...they need to laminate the books.Or at least put the pages on cardstock! When I bought my daughter the system for Christmas, it came with a book and it was just paper, but I assumed that it was like that because it was the book that came with it.Then, I bought this Songbird book and it was the same way.The pages are easy for my daughter to crinkle and chew through. She's just learning about books and teething...not a good combo. So I really think they need to put some people on their design team that have infants and toddlers. What were they thinking?!

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderfully multicultural
First of all, you need to have the Little Touch Leappad system to use this book.In case you didn't know!

I thought this book was very cute!It is about a bird that travels to different countries (China, Ireland, India, USA, Nigeria) to find her tweet. In the end she discovers her own tweet is just fine.

Each country shows muscial instruments and animals of that country and also the flag.If you push the flag, you can hear the anthem and "Welcome to (country's name)" in English and the native language.I myself learned a lot--I think this book is a good buy because it is fun and informative.

One last thing--this is excellent if your child is Chinese American or Indian American. It gives a good depiction of those countries and help them be proud of their heritage.

The only down point is the pages crinkle and that damn "GO" button!

3-0 out of 5 stars Diversity
This touch book has 6 countries that Stella Songbird travels to and you can press the pictures to hear the national anthem of that country and typical instruments played in that country. The countries featured are: Mexico, China, India, Ireland, the USA, and Nigeria. The activity card included has "snapshots" of Stella bird's trip. You press them and they tell you about the animals that Stella met in that country, how to say hello in that particual country, and adds a little melody from there. The other side has a Music Match with animals playing instruments and you match them according to the sound you hear (too difficult for small children). It's not my 2yr old's favorite, but it's entertaining.I think it's neat that it introduces other countries (though little ones don't really have a concept of "countries" yet). ... Read more

Editorial Review

This is a happy, noisy toy that should amuse most toddlers. Everything that can be touched reacts in some way, from a trombone-playing frog to a book that sings the alphabet. Our favorite is the colored keyboard that sings each color you press. The tabletop can be placed on the floor for those still in the crawling phase, or can sit on the included legs for a sturdy surface and leaning spot for little ones who are new to walking. If there is any fault with the Learning Table, it may be that it has too many features: each element of the table reacts in two different ways, depending on whether it's in Learn Mode or Music Mode. (Modes are switched by flipping the page of the book mounted in the center of the table.) Though this means more fun stuff for kids to hear, the mode concept is not one that they can be expected to understand, and the effect of the toy's inconsistent reactions is likely to be confusion. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Farm Puzzle isn't as great as it seems
I got this puzzle for my baby as a Christmas gift.Within the first few days, the puzzle pieces started to warp. Now the pieces are in two or three separate layers and don't even fit the spaces.I don't have the information on the company I got it from except for the name or I'd be getting my money back or getting it replaced. Now my baby wants to bite on the wood pieces. Not good!

4-0 out of 5 stars Love Melissa & Doug puzzles!!
I have not been dissappointed with ANY of Melissa & Doug puzzle...we have 7 now. This is the first for our youngest and I look forward to playing with the fuzzy farm pieces with him.A durable, safe edged puzzle that is colorful but not scary for little ones.My hat is off to Melissa & Doug once again.

5-0 out of 5 stars cute puzzle to learn with
Our son received this as a gift for Easter this past year.He isn't much on puzzles but this one really caught on.He likes the fuzzy animals I think the best, but he has become quite good at putting them in their proper places. It's also been a good tool to teach him the animals and to *nicely* pet the animals. His favorite is the little duck as it ends up in is crib quite often.Very cute puzzle with the extra added bonus of the peices being soft.Puzzle and pieces are made of wood (except the fuzzy coats) so it holds up well and the price is reasonable. ... Editorial Review

What's really, really cute? A kid that doesn't know the meaning of some words yet, but really, really wants to. LeapPad's multisensory, experiential interface makes kids want a big vocabulary--in a bad way. With Richard Scarry's Things to Know, kids see, hear, say, and touch throughout the story, enhancing oral, vocabulary, and phonics lessons given throughout the book. At the same time, Scarry's characters help to identify and pronounce new words and pronounce old words correctly.

It's simple to use (just insert the cartridge and book into a LeapPad, and use the attached stylus to hear information), but this system is an innovative technology that provides entertaining, effective learning, designed by a Stanford-trained reading expert. The system also has been credited with the TMA's Educational Toy of the Year and People's Choice awards.

Two notes: Make sure the LeapPad book you get is appropriate for the child's educational level, and know that some LeapBooks (like this one) work on both LeapPad and LeapPad Pro, but some only work with one system. --Diane Beall ... Read more

We had this book and it was destroyed by our cat. We love it so much we are purchasing it again! My 4 year old loved it for over a year and now my 15 month loves it.We have several Leap Pad books and this one is by far the favorite of my two boys.I like it because it does not just tell a story like many Leap Pad books do, it allows kids to count, find items, and listen to music.

1-0 out of 5 stars This toy doesn' t work well
This toy is defective and doesn't do what it is advertised to do.The sounds play even without the animal popping up.. Music is supposed to play after each animal pops up, but most of the time it doesn't play. The cow doesn't reset without playing with the milk bottle. There are a LOT of sharp edges, and I wouldn't let my child play with it without me constantly trying to keep his hands out of the animal holes... Overall this is a very poor quality product that's getting returned.

1-0 out of 5 stars Frustrating little toy
We received this toy and immediately opened it for our daughter to play and were surprised to find that it doesn't work properly. We press the bone button and the dog pops up with the bird. We press the green button and the bird pops up with the dog. We press the cheese button and the mouse doesn't pop up at all. EVER. Pushing the animals back down, the dog pops up on his own accord without us touching anything. My daughter quickly grew bored of this toy and it's unpredictability.

1-0 out of 5 stars Be careful - little fingers will get hurt in this toy!
My son loves the Baby Einstein video tapes, so we had to show him this toy when we saw it at the store. He was delighted in playing with it for about 5-10 minutes when suddenly his little finger got stuck in one of the holes (where the characters pop up and down). He screamed and could not get his finger out.I had trouble getting his finger out also because the character was wedged against his finger. This toy is not safe.It should be redesigned. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Buy it for other reasons
I agree that the toy doesn't not hold together very well, and the sounds the dolphins make are kind of strange. That being said, we love this toy.We use it for counting and colors and it's wonderful. Our 2 1/2 YO girl loves playing with it; it's her favorite tub toy.So, know that it's not a magical, musical tub toy, but it is a lot of fun.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun Toy
I disagree with many of the other reviews here.We just picked up this toy used, at a Thrift Store for a dollar, and it was well-spent.The dolphins, do indeed make sounds (whistles of differents tones) when you lightly tap their heads. The only time they don't make sounds is when they get too full of water and you just have to empty them out.As for the rings staying together, we are missing one, so I didn't know that the were supposed to form a big ring, but we build chains with them, and have had no trouble at all with them coming apart. My son is 6 months old and he just loves his dolphins. He hated baths until we brought these home! Now he squeals with excitement when we run the bath water and can't wait to get in the tub!

1-0 out of 5 stars disappointed with toy
I bought this toy for my kids thinking that the music would be great but this toy does not make music at all.One would really have to strech the definition of "music".I was disappointed because the box makes it looks like it would be a great toy.My son got very irritated at the rings not staying connected.I returned the toy. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars It makes my 4-month-old stop crying!
We got this toy as a gift. When my 4-month-old son is crying, we put him in his bouncer and move this stacker toy up and down in front of him.Moving it from upside down to rightside up creates a funny noise that he loves. He'll stop crying to look up at it.Then we shake it and he laughs. Then we hand it to him and he "plays" with it by touching the little animals that hang off the sides. He drops it after a couple of minutes but he loves it. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars PERFECT FOR 3 YEAR OLDS!!!
I justbought this kitchen for my three year old daughter and she loves it, but the best part about it is when she is done playing I can store it away in the closet or cabinets, ect. ect. unlike the huge child size kitchens that take up so much space. It is a perfect size for her american girl doll and Barbie kelly baby doll.works great for us and I just went today and bought the washer dryer combo and the food sets. We love it!

5-0 out of 5 stars fun in a small space
This is the perfect size kitchen for play houses and tents! My 3 and 6 yr olds love it because they can sit on the floor of their "house" and fix anything their little hearts desire! So cute and comes with the perfect amount of accessories--very portable, my 3 yr old can carry it outside!LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! ... 4-0 out of 5 stars We like it enough we're going to give it a 3rd try
Our toddler loves her float! She's quite comfortable in it, and it (thankfully) gives our arms a break in the pool. However, we're about to return our second one to the store to give it a 3rd shot. First one, the steering wheel broke off before we even got it blown up (and left a couple of unsafe, sharp plastic pieces behind). Store swapped it out for us, no problem, except now the second one has a leak (blew it up last night, it's flat this morning). Guess we'll be taking it back again. Hopefully the third time's the charm as my daughter really seems to like it and (despite our experience thus far) it feels like it ought to be more durable than many of the alternatives.

3-0 out of 5 stars OK for very young babies
3-stars for fun because he enjoyed it for about 5 minutes till he realized that he couldn't hit the water with his hands.

3-stars for educational value because there really isn't any.

5-stars for durability because we just bought it and he probably won't use it again till he is a better swimmer.

We bought this toy for our 18 month old son who is fearless when it comes to the water (but doesn't understand that you can't breathe underwater....so he has to be watched closely). He kept trying to dive out of it and then he would cry because he couldn't reach the water to splash-splash.

This toy is better suited for either a much younger child who is afraid of the water or one that is already a swimmer.

5-0 out of 5 stars Passed the two year old test
We got our "toddler racer" in the mail yesterday, and my two year old son was already honking the horn, turning the wheel and trying to climb in before I could finish inflating it.Our pool experience was a lot more fun as we could swim and play games with him without having to take turns holding him at all times. He had a blast, too. He's still obsessed with it and is actually sitting in it right now (inside the house).Highly recommended! ...
