5-0 out of 5 stars Melody pleasing to the ear
The toddle tunes push along is a much needed improvement from the corn popper which can give a person a headache with too much popping. The toddle tunes has two options for music. One option allows an entire melody to be played even if moved just an inch. The second option plays different notes as long as it is moving. The wheeling device is well designed with a rubberized grip around each wheel.Another nice feature of the push along is its ability to stand up straight--even in the middle of the room. Our 12 month old has been walking for 2 months but has not mastered the coordination for the toddle tunes push along. He does grip the handle and push it back and forth like a vacuum cleaner and gets a few notes. We expect that this will be a big hit with our walking boy in a few months. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Too Hard to Assemble
I bought this table for my 17-month-old. It took way too long to assemble the castle and it continually falls apart. I wish I had read the reviews before I had bought this product. I deifnitely would NOT recommend it to anyone.

1-0 out of 5 stars Dad just doesn't pay attention to advise!
I was looking for a sand & water table for my 16 month old, and I always read the reviews before i buy so I know how other parents experiences have gone with the products.Well I wanted the water table that has a water wheel and just to buy a sandbox for him to play in... but dad thought the reviews were harsh and just LOVED this table so he came home with it... and now he hates the table as much as I do.It is not sturdy, it is not age appropriate for our 16 month old, and it is just overall messy having sand & water in the same place (I'm not a neat freak, it's just annoying having something like mud on everything ALL the time!)We decided to toss it in the trash and go with my original plan....it wasn't worth returning, I just needed to get it out of my home ASAP.

2-0 out of 5 stars Lack of space - disappointing
My son received this toy as a gift for his first birthday. With my husband and I working together, it took to long to assemble. The castle continually falls apart.I was actually very excited about this toy, however I was disappointed after the first use.The amount of sand and water is very limited and the idea of putting sand in the middle of the water - BAD IDEA!I would of liked to see the areas either wider or deeper. We had to keep re-filling the water portion because so much would just splash out.I know my son is still young, but his only goal was to move the sand to the water.Needless to say we had a big mess, which I can understand.Overall, I was disappointed with this toy. ... It doesn't quite meet official NBA specifications, but thislightweight basketball set is equipped with built-in wheels that makeit easy to move for adults. A wonderful first basketball hoop for yourlittle all-star, it sets up easily on any flat indoor or outdoorsurface and you can fold it down over its wide base for compactstorage. Made of durable plastic, the set features a large backboardand a realistic nylon net that attaches to a wide, "breakaway" rim. Theadjustable rim can be set between 5 and 7 feet high as children grow, and players can keep track of the score during games with the slidingplastic counters built into the stand. To maintain stability duringuse, the base of the Easy Store Basketball Set should be weighted downwith sand (not included). Inflatable rubber basketballincluded. --Chris Burns ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars excellent hoop set for older little ones
We received this item as a gift.It took about 20 minutes to assemble, with no tools required.(I did use a shoe to pound the wheel axle in though :-)There were a lot of stickers included, so I had the kids decorate the apparatus as I assembled it, and everyone was happy.

There are five height adjustments but even the lowest is 5 feet, so this set is a little too tall for the recommended three-year old; however, it does fold up nicely to reduce its impact on your space, it does move around easily using the wheels, and you can fill the bottom with sand or water to stabilize it.With the exception of the axle for the wheels, all parts are plastic and colorful. This is a very nice basketball hoop (though as I said, a bit tall for the lower recommended age), and one small basketball is included.Easy to put together, easy to enjoy and easy to store.

dear basketball hoop-
I love this hoop with all of its amazing features.stickers with all shapes and sizes make this the best present i have ever gotten.the wheel, awww, the wheels make this amazing.it is just so easy to transport to all my friends houses.the hoop raises.one yime time i made a hundred dunks in a row, and my mom gave me 2 dollars because she so happy.this is the best hoop in the world. the ball is orange just like my favorite player chris dudley.he make my eyes light up.it feel like i'm him when i'm playing down in the basement. over all this toy proved to be very efficient in my basketball education.

Editorial Review

Doodle Pro is not as challenging as its predecessor-sketcher, but it's just as intriguing for younger kids, who will ponder the mystery of the sketching surface just the same. Unlike with the trusty Etch-a-Sketch, kids who are just developing spatial and coordination skills don't have to worry about an increasingly complex, unbroken line of metallic dust, and there are no knobs to contend with. That's all too tricky: they just want to draw! To that end, there's a fat, easy-grip stylus with a magnetic tip, and four magnet stampers stored in a pull-out drawer. When the molded forms are pressed on the 10.5 by 7.5-inch doodling surface, shapes are created. And, instead of shaking (again, exertion), there's a sliding eraser for starting over instantly. Because there's no mess, and only a few loose pieces, it's also great for travel. Diane Beall ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Magna doodle is great from day 1!
If your child can hold a fat pen, they can use this toy which is one of the reasons we love it in our household. We purchased our first magna doodle for our 9 month-old, now 5.We would hold her in our laps and she would scribble. She is still scribbling today, drawing pictures alone or with her dad.

We purchased two more 'matching' ones when our son was a year old. They have played with them outside, inside, and on vacation. They are excellent car travel and hotel toys:you can't loose the pen and they don't make a mess.Plus! they are quiet.

Even we adults have used them, either to doodle or for more serious pursuits. We have taught science and spelling on them, and presently our daughter is using the board for writing practice.

For the price, what more can you want.

[Note:for kids under 3 years of age, I think the included shapes are a choking hazard, so save them for later.]

5-0 out of 5 stars Toy for them, blessing for us!
Already saved the price of them in paper (usually my important ones), pens (again mine), walls (ours) and frustration!Kids (3&4) love them, get LOTS of drawing practice & they seem to be very tough (the toys)!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Toy for the doodler
Santa brought this last year for Christmas for our 4 year daughter and she still plays with it.We bring it in the car, we bring it out to dinner, it keeps her very occupied.Durable -- It has been stepped on and dropped numerous times and still is great. We also purchased the Dora Doodle, not as durable, and much smaller doodle space. If you have an artist in the house -- get this toy!! ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Tips over
This toy looks great, but was a terrible buy!!!We cannot keep the legs on it.It is very light weight and flips over VERY easily. My 11 month old loves it, but I don't want him to get hurt from it falling on him,The manufacturers age says 2-5 years, but it is way too short for anyone over two.Try the imaginarium table instead. It looks more sturdy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Daughter and Daddy love it
My 21 month old daughter has had this for about six months, and just loves it.She and her daddy love building towers, and she has no problem with the size of the blocks (we started with this size, but I did buy a set of the Quattro for my 6 month old nephew so he can get an earlier start). It is also very durable--has withstood her standing inside of the pockets on the side and climbing on top of the table. You defintely need to purchase additional blocks--we bought a couple of tubs of them.

Both my husband and I loved Legos as children and are really looking forward to adding to her collection as she gets older (particularly the Ferrari duplo set).

5-0 out of 5 stars great buy!
My daughter (26 months) loves this playtable! We got her this for Christmas because she would get so upset when she would be building a tower and then it would fall over easily and we thought this would be a sturdy base for her to build on. It is great! We also got her the Duplo bucket and some Dora the Explore Duplos and she is in heaven! ... Read more

Editorial Review

With all the high-tech electronic toys available for kids today, it would seem that the basics would be long forgotten. However, often the classic toys are the ones children want to play with the most. This classic block set includes 50 solid wood 1-inch-square blocks that are ideal for stacking or building. Two sides of each block feature carved letters or numbers in bright primary colors for teaching the alphabet or counting during play. The other four sides feature stamped letters, numbers, or pictures for additional practice in identification. Blocks come in a hard plastic storage case with a cord handle for easily transporting to Grandma’s house. This block set will most likely become the most used toy in the playroom. --Cristina Vaamonde ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars These are the good kind
All alphabet blocks are good, but these are much better than the Imaginarium brand ones. The MYKIDS brand blocks are good too, but the color contrast is better on these. The most crucial characteristic is that a block has different letters on opposite sides, so you have at least two of each letter. There are a lot of words you can't spell when you only have one of most letters, and even if you have enough sets of blocks to compensate, it's still unnecessarily many blocks to look through. And if you aren't spelling words yet, there's still the same-versus-different play, which is sabotaged when you don't have any same. Then there's the spatial-skills aspect: if you turn the H block one way you get the 8, another way you get the U, and so on.These have it right on all criteria.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very Classic
I love these blocks and they are actually going to be a decorating peice for our baby's room as well.I don't understand the complaints about how the pictures don't correspond. They never have. This set of blocks is the same as it always has been.If you want the letter to correspond buy some flash cards.I can't wait to play with these with my baby.

1-0 out of 5 stars Toxic
I bought these blocks for my child. She licked them and the colors came off. I think they should develop a saliva-proof coloring for their blocks. Also, the licking caused my child to be mocked in kindergarden due to the strange colors of her tongue. This tramatic experience has left her and our family scarred for life. I hate blocks. I'll buy more tomorrow. Good bye. ... Read more

Circles, squares, triangles, hearts, and stars! Little ones will delight in their ability to sort and stack these colorful, spongy shapes on glossy wooden pegs. The Shape and Color Sorter helps preschoolers and kindergartners learn the essential skills of hand-eye coordination, shape and color recognition, and sorting. Brightly colored and fun to touch, the 25 crepe rubber pieces are nearly indestructible. In fact, this set exceeds standards set by the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission. Still, the product is not meant for children who may put objects in their mouths. Comes with a 3.75-by-11.5-inch base panel and five removable "punkin-head pegs."--Joan DeClaire ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars My son loves this!
I bought this shape shorter for my 21-month-old son, and he won't put it down! The only drawback(which is pretty unavoidable) is that the pieces are small and sometimes we have trouble finding them.

5-0 out of 5 stars Terrific Travel Toy
My mom bought this toy for my daughter, then 18 months, in Hawaii. The fact that it is easily assembled and lightweight make it great for traveling. My daughter, who loves shapes, played with it every day. Now, at 20 months, she keeps asking for it, every morning.Because it is easily assembled, she has learned to do this on her own, which I think is another benefit of this toy.I am always thrilled when I come into the room and all the circles are stacked up on one peg, or all the blue shapes are stacked up on the blue peg, this is a great learning toy. Also, I remember reading the box insert that said you can contact the manufacturer to get replacement pieces if you lose one.

5-0 out of 5 stars A MUST HAVE!
This is the best kind of toy - your child is learning numerous different skills while playing. (fine motor, shape sorting, color sorting...)I purchased it for my 12 month old and wished I had discovered the "Lauri" brand with my older child sooner. They even include an idea sheet to inspire other ways to use the product. It is the perfect item to put on the high chair to buy a little time while making dinner.I'd make this purchase again in a heartbeat!Don't be swayed too much by the suggetsed age - this is a toy that grows with your child. ... Peep-peep! Here comes Percy the little steam engine from the ever-popular Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends book series and television's Shining Time Station (based on The Railway Series by Reverend W. Awdry). With its rounded corners and larger features, this chunky-styled Percy is designed for little hands. Made of lightweight plastic and sporting rubber-trimmed tires, Percy, the youngest and most eager engine in the station, heads off down the tracks with his traditional three-dimensional smiling face. A rear coupling prong allows Percy to pull freight and passenger cars of his same chunky style. The 4.5-inch-by-2.5-inch engine has an axle width of 1.75 inches and fits plastic tracks designed for the My First Thomas train series. This toy does not fit the standard 1.5-inch wooden tracks. --Kathryn Gustafson ... Read more

Most of my trains are pretty old except for the new ones but Percy really hasn't had any scratches and i've had him for nine years. His magnet is still there and it's in working order. Percy is one of everyone's favorite engines and this one is a great buy!

5-0 out of 5 stars My son loves it!!!
My son is a big fan of Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends. His favorite is Percy. He takes his Percy trains with him wherever he goes (to bed, in the car, around the house, etc.).We even bought an extra for him just in case he loses one of them.If your children love Thomas (and what toddler doesn't?), I do have a piece of advice--get duplicates of the trains. You never know if one will get lost, or forgotten!I got doubles of most of the trains, Percy included, and it can be a real lifesaver when one gets lost or left behind!

4-0 out of 5 stars Cute Toy
My 2 year old son received this toy for Christmas, and although it is not the most educational toy on the planet, he seems to like it alot.It sings, and counts, and says the letters of the alphabet. The shapes features is a bunch of lighted dots trying to form squares and circles, and doesn't do a very good job.Overall, it is a very durable toy, and fun too.And it has TWO volume levels...even at the highest volume level it doesn't annoy anyone in my family.

3-0 out of 5 stars Skip Toby and go for Kasey.
Toby is cute but I wished I would have waited a year and just went for Kasey the Kinderbot.Toby is very basic in his teaching. My 2 year old didn't learn anything new from Toby except the 3 songs.Toby only teaches numbers 1-10.When the ABC button is pressed, Toby will say a letter and display it.If you don't keep pressing the button, he says 2 more letters and then will say "bye-bye".I wish when you pressed the button that Toby would go through the whole alphabet without having to keep pushing the button over and over again. It's like that with the numbers and shapes too.My toddler's Toby happened to break something inside the head.I can hear it rattle around inside.I'm not quite sure what happened to it.Toby still moves, but he doesn't have full motion in his head anymore- just partial.I just wish I would have waited a year and went for Kasey who has so much more to offer.

4-0 out of 5 stars My 20th month old likes this one.
When I first got this for my daughter (at about 13 months old) she was too young and it didn't keep her attention. But not at 20 months old, she loves it and loves especially to sing the alphabet song and view the shapes. This is a good one for the right age! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Travel Toy
This has been the best travel toy.I took it to China when I adopted my almsot two year old little girl.It kept her amused and entertained on the LONG LONG plane ride home, the pen was never lost or dropped and the stampers were a big hit.Now that we are home, it is packed in our car bag and has kept her attention during car rides, doctor visits and church.Great fun and very durable.I highly recommend it!

3-0 out of 5 stars Ehhhhhhh, Okay...
I bought this toy for my neice for Christmas and was disappointed in the quality of it when we took it out of the box.

The magnets didn't really show up on the screen, even when an adult pushed on them pretty hard. There is no way a three year old could push on them hard enough for them to actually show up.

It ended up tossed in the never seen again pile at her house. :o(

We statred off with one of these 4 years ago and it still works fine. The pen got pulled out but I tied it to the center hold bar.It makes it easier for my lefty son anyway:).We now have another that is used only in my autistic sons therapy time and it is holiding up well. The pieces do seem to get lost but we find most of them again under beds, car seats etc.
Overall great toy and had no problem with any of the functions other reviewers have complained about. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Very dependable
My husband and I found this to be very good for our daughter. We have taken her to the ocean and to pools, and each time, while we are right there by her, it keeps her up above the water at all times. of course, you must be very vigilant....but it does what it is supposed to. It is a great way to teach them how to swim. I can not remember if this was the same brand we had for our son, but it looks exactly the same, and he used one for about 5 years......and we never had a problem...of course he went through two different sizes in that time. He loved it and my daughter loves hers.

1-0 out of 5 stars dangerous swimming gear
I see that this item gets a pretty good rating overall, I have to disagree. A friend bought this tot trainer for our son (2 1/2 years old at the time) as a gift about a year ago and of course we tried it out straight away. As soon as we let him float a little, without being held, the rubber ring around the waist tipped and caused a very frightened little boy to tip forward, almost face down in the water! needless to say this item has ended up in the garage where it is safely out of use.

5-0 out of 5 stars FANTASTIC SWIM AID
This swim aid gave my son so much confidence in the water it was such a pleasure to see, he was able to swim freely (with supervision) andwas the happiest little boy, within minutes of my 2 yr old putting on the suit, he got the hang of it and off he went. he wore it every day in the summer! even wanted to put it on in the house!!
As it states on the box it is suitable for children from the age of 2 yrs, this is because of the childs ability to be able to use the suit to its full potential,as most 2 yr olds have the strength to keep upright in the water and not fall forwards.
We love it!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great attention grabber
Its true that it does fit on my 4 month olds infant carrier but he is much easier to play with on his tummy or in his hands, but he loves Max all the same! Max has so many different things to chew on, and 35% of the time he's in Zach's mouth! And 60% of the time Zach will sort of hold him away from him for a while, and STARE at him, than he will grab him and hug him! But the other 5% of the time is why I love Max so much, when ever Zach starts crying you just make Max giggle and within seconds Zach is happy boy again! My 20 month old twins think its soo funny that their little brother will laugh like that! Max goes in the stroller, in the car, in the diaper bag, at the highchair, in the exersaucer EVERYWHERE, Max isnt my sons "lovey" but its probably his favorite "toy".Max easily spot cleans and I have put him in the machine a few times! Max is also filled with so many cute colors. I dont know what it is about Max, but even though he can't really attatch to the infant carrier without Zach getting really angrey, he's well worth it!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great product
If you are in preparation for the arrival of a newborn, it is essential to purchase BR Max the Monkey.I am 11 years old and whenever I hear my baby brother Matthew cry, I hand him BR and just like magic, the crying stops.I don't know if it is the monkey's infectious giggle or its appealing colors but I do know that this is like a magical ingredient to make a baby stop crying.Believe me, you must make it a priority to purchase lovable BR before your child enters the world. You will never regret it.This is one of the most effective baby toys ever.Congats to Lamaze on creating yet another successful item for babies.

5-0 out of 5 stars Love the Monkey
My son loves his monkey. It keeps him entertained in his carseat and his stroller. And you can attach it to straps, so he can toss the monkey all he likes but still reach it. These Lamaze toys are awesome. Great to chew! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great vanity!
We bought this toy last year for our now 3.5 year old daughter and she still loves it!She is very into pretend and dress up and this toy is perfect for her!She plays with it all the time and even pretends to do my hair and make up with it!I like how it "talks" based on the item you are using, if you take the comb out, it says "Comb your hair, make it pretty". My daughter and her friends have gotten a lot of use out of this toy, I would definitely recommend it!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Toy
We purchased this toy last year for our 2 year-old's birthday. She loves it!! Still plays with it. It is nice how each toy is shaped to fit in its' own spot. Mirror talks about each toy. "Ohhhhh... Pink lipsitck looks very nice on you." Daughter loves this toy nearly one year later. Gets played with quite often by her. Same set of batteries still working! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars uses the imagination
Now my 6 yr old son and 1 yr old daughter can share this. There are multi colored fish, octopuses, etc. the kids can use their minds to create a virtual aquarium. Much better than the floating dolphins that lost my kids interest within a couple of minutes.

5-0 out of 5 stars lots of fun
My son loves the bath fish. When not bathing, he likes to get them out and put them back in the containter. He likes to chew on them because they are squisy shoft but they hold up well and don't break into pieces. In the bath tub he loves to stick them to the side of the tub and we love to stick them on his forehead and chest. He will giggle and take them off.Lots of colors and variety of sea creatures to learn about.

5-0 out of 5 stars awsome toy

5-0 out of 5 stars Im 15, and this rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the coolest toy ive ever played with in my entire 15 year old life!!!

3-0 out of 5 stars Too much for a 3 month old
My son was afraid of this toy at 3 months, it was too loud for him. I'd bring it out every so often to see if he was ready for it, but it always made him cry! Finally, at 8 months, he actually loves this toy.
One small problem is that he likes to put his hands on the wheels that spin/turn and it causes them to make a clicking noise and it stops them from spinning while they're moving and I dont know if that will cause it to break after a while.
I think it's just too loud with too much going on for a 3 month old.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great in the car
As an infant, my daughter hated car rides.I origially purchased this for her to play in her crib, but instead decided to hang it on the back of the seat of our car so when she was in her infant carrier she could "kick and play". It worked!!!! Car rides were not as miserable. She would kick and activate the music and balls and smile and giggle away. ... Read more
