Great Fun!
My daughter received this as a Christmas present and has been singing ever since.She absolutely loves this karaoke machine.She says it is so much "prettier" than other karaoke machines that she has seen.Her only problem so far, is that she is in 1st grade and she can't read fast enough to keep up with the words on the screen, so I'm hoping this will improve her reading skills.The reading thing doesn't bother her though, she just improvises.Two microphones make it alot of fun to share with friends.

It was the only toy the kids played with at Christmas
This was a great buy.I have a 3yr old and a 5 1/2 yr old.When this gift was opened they went crazy for it. It took only about 3 minutes to set it up and they kids were playing with it.My husband and i had to peel them away to finish openeing the rest of the gifts under the tree.

We plugged it into the TV, that took 5 seconds to do all the cables are right with it and color coded so they just pop right in like the camcorder.Although the screen on the machine is black and white the music on the tv is bright colors with pictures (we bought the princess songs to go with it).

My husband has since taken over the machine and tells the kids it's his "turn".I think he liked it almost to much.

This machine is not ment to be a professional type of machine but if you have kids who just want to have fun this is it.Two microphones with very long cords.I would buy it again, no regrets at all.

Perfect for Toddlers
My brother bought my daughter an Elmo VideoNow disk for Christmas thinking it was a regular DVD. We waited until now to get her the player as she was just barely 2 in December (6 months can make a lot of difference at this age). We just got her the player and she loves it. She figured out how it works in no time flat. She knows colors and shapes so the colored, shaped buttons sort of reinforce what she already knows. It seems very durable but I suggest getting the carrying case to help protect against spills, etc. It also has a handle and a place to store a few extra disks. One reviewer was disappointed that it did not come with a disk but ours did. It came with some previews of Nick Jr shows and a full length episode of Dora. As for the batteries, it does drain them but like another reviewer said, get rechargables. I think this is a nice alternative to a DVD player for a child so small. Even though it's a bit expensive (I only paid $50 for ours at Walmart) it is still cheaper than a portable DVD and more durable too.

Great toy! But... make sure you buy the videos
My daughter has the video now, so my son 3, wanted one too!My parents bought it for him for potty training, but they did not know that it didn't come with any video's.He opened it, we put batteries in it and he could not use it.It didn't even come with a preview disc.He was very disappointed.
The toy is great, however it is quite expensive not to come with a disc for the kids to try.

This thing is great!
My 2 yr old daughter thinks this is the greatest thing since cheerios! Very durable, easy for little ones to use, and safe to operate. All of her favorite shows from spongebob and the wiggles to Elmo. This item is great for road trips too. A little expensive, but worth the price when you see your childs face light up. Great entertainment for toddlers!
My son got the Video Now Jr. for Christmas and it has been a big hit.

Some of the nice features of the Jr. include:
*Bigger Buttons for smaller fingers. (Play, Stop, FF, Rev)
*Double slide latches to open cover.This makes it more difficult for little ones to open the unit and mess with disk or damage the lens.
*Looks and feels durable.Ours has been dropped plenty of times and keeps working.

It does use batteries faster than other toys, but it hasn't been an issue since we keep recharables around.

Age two might be a little young for this toy.My son like to use the buttons like a video game (making elmo say the same 2 words over and over and over) . . . he also likes to tap it to make it skip.But these things are more annoying than harmful to the Video Now Jr.

Overall this is a great toy.My son loves it and takes it everywhere we go.The disks available are great (Wiggles, Sesame Stree, Dora, Blues Clues.)It also play regular Video Now Color disks.It is one of the most used toys in our house!

Great toy!
This is so handy for short trips and Drs. appts. My 5 year old loves it. It doesn't suck the life out of batteries like I thought it would and it is so durable. It has been dropped plenty of times and still works perfectly. The volume controls make it so that you don't feel the need to throw it out the window. It really is a great item that will last!

The fun doesn't last long
The life of the batteries in this toy is about 4 to 5 hours of playing time.Once the kids watch a few videos the batteries need to be replaced immediately.Make sure you stock up on batteries because this device requires several at a time and you will be replacing them several times a week.

Also after two months of using it... the screen completely went out on this device...it now only plays the sound with no video. ... Read more

Not the greatest quality
I bought this for my six year old daughter for Christmas.We played with it for about 3 hours total before the microphone broke.At first, I was sure it must be the batteries but changed those and it still didn't work.We unscrewed the mic cover and found that two little wires were not saudered where they were supposed to be.I am VERY disappointed and will be exchanging this in hopes that it was just a rare problem that won't happen again.

Quite a disappointment
This was a gift for my young daughter.She was thrilled when she saw it, but what a disappointment.First off the plastic is so cheaply made - happy meal toys are made better.I was afraid to push the buttons and move the switches because I feared it would break right out of the box.I tried to change the faceplate, but it just kept twisting in a contorted way.I was certain it would break right there, so we gave that up.I could get past all this though because the player is so cute and little girly.Then, right out of the package the player does not work - tried 3 different sets of batteries.I was in denial here because I really wanted to like this item because my daughter is so into it. I had to convince my daughter that we will get a plain pink or purple player for probably a better price somewhere else.This one is going back pronto!!

GARBAGE
What a waste of 90$.Not even 5 months old and it's dead.As in won't turn on at all.Manufacturers warranty is only good for 90days - after that you have to PAY them 30$ PLUS shipping for them to repair thier faulty product.Personally I am going to take the 50$ (repair and shipping) and buy a DVD player from a reputable reliable company.I DO NOT recommend this product. I really regret not heeding the other reviews of this product - it really is a peice of rubbish.

Compatability!
I bought this dvd player specifically for an interact tv she was getting as a gift.IT IS NOT COMPATIBLE!!!Just an FYI if anyone else was thinking the same thing.Other than the reason I bought it, it works great.

Our daughter had this for 5 months and it stopped reading the disk. I have read several complaints about this. It only has a 90 warranty through the manufacturer so our $80+ is down the drain. Not too bad of a deal
I recently got a juicebox from my parents for my b-day, and it is good. There are a few complaints.
1. It only supports a 128 and 44 kbps bit rate. Its easy to simply download the right one, but its a hassle to redownload all your songs.
2. Putting pictures on it is a pain. You cant just use windows explorer (which is what i like to do) like you can with the mp3s. I never thought that this was a big deal, but i know people might care.
3. The memory card it comes with is WAY to small. 32 megs will let you put about 8 songs on there. I bough a big card though, so it works.
Considering how cheap this is, it is definately a good deal.

Same Thing as an ipod but better and affordable for us kids
Juice Box is so much better than an ipod because it's almost the same thing but better and afforable. I saved my Christmas money on it and I loved it I also bought the mp3 starter kit which was really helpful.It has a backlight and it's nice for us kids 2 enjoy. It has a bigger screen than a ipod. You could buy small chips to listen and watch at an affordable price. My parents and I were really satisfied. Now I listen 2 it whenever I want at anytime I want. That's why I think that parents should buy this 4 whoever wants a nice affordable mp3.

why is juice box better than video now well the screen is a lot bigger. it has a mp3 player video now has no mp3 or music thing on it. you can look at pictures on it. it is so much smaller than video now. video now is huge and looks like a baby toy. juice box looks way cooler. there is so much more stuff that is better on juice box. get a juice box it is great. tack my word for it. ... Good car, bad CD player
I bought this for my 6 yr. old and the CD player was her favorite part of the toy.However, she said that if she tried to walk with the CD playing or listen to it while we were in the car, it would constantly stop playing.I'm going to buy her a better quality CD player that won't skip or stop playing when it's moved. ... Fun!
My daughter 18 months old, loves this toy.She just got it for Easter, she plays with it all the time.The only problem with it is when you have too many clips on it, it is heavy and hard to carry.We have to keep the clips down to 4 or less on the loop.This toy is not too loud either.I have found most childrens toys very loud, this one is just right.

Purr-fect for Little Lion King Fans!
My 2-year-old daughter recently received a Disney Kid Clips player and the first songs she asked for were the Lion King clips!If you can find them (they are hard to come by these days) then I highly recommend grabbing them up!She has played these so much already, she can sing along!Believe me, you will tire of these LONG before your little ones do!I can't for the life of me figure out why you can't get Kid Clips in stores anymore! ... it's a GREAT toy
i got it for my birthday. my brother has a ipod but this probably wont get stolen! so far i have recorded 37:07 min. of music so far (mostly boston). i reccomend this to any kid.

For the kid who wants an ipod but the parents won't buy
My 8yo bought this toy because he wanted an ipod and my husband & I said no way.He is very happy with it although he says the earpieces are a poor fit.I have set up a playlist on my ipod and managed to record 17 songs into the 30 minute slot.The toy is alittle complicated to record music at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's very nice.I also bought one for my 5yo and my 3 yo would like to get one - he has no problem using his brother's.I would recommend this toy for the kid who wants an ipod or mp3 player and the parents who know better - plus the games are very cute and get quite a laugh out of my guys. ... Ate tape within five minutes of use
I purchased this cassette recorder for my daughter's third birthday. She was excited by how colorful it was and the microphones. While she unwrapped her other gifts I placed the batteries in what should have been a screwed on compartment for the age range of the item. I placed the tape in and within five minutes of the tape playing it ate the tape. We could not get the tape out at all so I am returning this item, especially after reading a review with the same problem. I was trying to save money by purchasing this item and I guess I got what I paid for.

Constantly Tipping Over
The product is very durable.That's a good thing since it has an incredibly poorly designed base that causes the recorder to tip forward with the slightest shake or bump.The recorder sits on a tripod of legs - two out the side and one in the back that allows it to lean back a little.But it does not lean back far enough and is very front heavy, so it tips forward very easily.If you leave it on a shelf or piece of furniture, you will find it lying on the floor with the battery compartment popped open and batteries all over the place.And never put it up somewhere where it will fall on your child as it will cause injury.

My advice to potential buyers - buy something else.My advice to Little Tikes - try actually testing your products before putting them on the market.

Great concept- Poor design
We purchased this cassette recorder for our two little girls. They had so much fun with it the first few days, though it kept tipping over. When a cassette tape was inside it was heavy in the front and kept falling down. That was alright, we just laid it down on the speaker to play. It was dropped and the battery door fell off. Then just by lifting the recorder the battery door would fall off. So I went to get some tape to secure the battery door when I noticed one of the springs that holds in the battery (and supplies current) was missing. So the recorder after 4 days did not work. If the spring had not falled out it would have needed tape to keep it functional. Not a very good quality toy. I would suggest another brand. ... Read more

No one is likely to mistake this for a pro drum kit, but for some casual messing around, it provides a pretty good time. There are five pads to whack away at, each producing a different sound (high hat, snare, tom-tom, etc.),a foot pedal-activated bass drum, plus a number of canned rhythms (rock, funk, and so on) you can turn on and off with the keypad. The sound comes out of either the tinny but serviceable speaker or the included pair of headphones. The drum stand is easily snapped together, and connecting all the various cables is a color-coded, self-explanatory affair. Difficult for kids to use and operate
Our kids found this toy to be very difficult to operate and understand all the buttons.The noises are very muffled and it often doesn't operate properly. We've been unhappy with this purchase.

piece of crap (a blunt description but accurate)
Like the other reviewer, Santa brought this for one of my kids.It worked partially for the first hour.I say partially, because I had to turn the volume up the whole way to get any sound at all, and then it was a bit too loud.Turning the volume down any less than "all the way up" resulted in no sound at all.After the first hour it wigged out even more and my wife had to perform some kind of voodoo to get to work.Later it stopped altogether.It's not a battery problem.It's going back to the store (Toys R Us).It was a neat concept with all of the pre-programmed rhythms and tunes that kids could play along with, but unfortunately, this is one toy in which I think in trying to keep the cost of manufacturing as low as possible, the quality and durability fell below any practical minimum standard.My summary statement on this toy is that it's a piece of crap.I will say that the kid's electric guitar that Santa brought for one of my other kids seems to be pretty nice.I find myself playing with it too.Now as for the other reviewer trying to explain to his/her child about why Santa brought a broken toy, my advice is to explain that Santa "outsourced" some of the toy making to the Bangalore Toy Company and this is the result.Santa will take care of that toymaker! Okay, just kidding; nothing against outsourcing.Just thought I'd have some topical political fun...really.:-)
It was really poor design and quality control requirements provided by some idiotic American toy manufacturer at kgiproducts.com.I like Amazon, but you might want to avoid any toys from that KGI manufacturer.

Santa delivers broken toys???
Yes, Santa delivered to my 4 year old son this toy. It worked for less than 5 minutes.Then no sound, no drumrolls, no fun.The speaker still works - he can hear himself out of the microphone, but the drums and other sound effects no longer work.Now two days after Christmas and Toys-R-Us does not have these in stock and my son is asking why Santa brought him broken toys.Explain that one! ... Very versatile device for the money.
I have been looking at this toy for a while, and make no mistake this is a toy and not a high end audio video component, but that being said I have read a lot of bad things about the Juicebox here and I have to say I disagree with most of the bad reviews.

First what I do agree with, at this point there does seem to be a lack of available cartridges and the ability to play mp3s is an extra cost and probably should be provided with the base unit.

What I don't agree with is that everyone seems to say the picture/video quality is bad, we also have the Gameboy Advance and the video is at least as good if not better and the screen is a little larger as well. I just hope everyone has removed the plastic screen protector. I also purchased the mp3 kit and have to say that the mp3 player is quite nice. While you can't rely on the internal speaker for good audio quality with headphones it sounds quite good. It will hold as many songs as you can fit on the sd card and will accept up to a 512mb card so that is quite a lot of songs,146 at 3.5megs each, so I don't know what the reviewers are complaining about when they say it won't hold very many songs, even with the supplied 32meg card you should get around 9 songs on it and you can use other sd cards and store as many songs as you want, it's not ipod but it also isn't $300.00. The menus are easy to use and informative and my 7 year old has no trouble navigating through them and it has the added feature of viewing photos which until recently even ipod could not do. I'm thinking of buying another one for my own use to take with me on business trips so not only can I have the music I want to hear I can watch a slide show of pictures from home to help chase away the blues.

As for durability and construction, time will tell, but the unit seems well constructed except for the flip open protective door that covers the screen which I can see getting caught on something and broken otherwise I don't see any other obvious problems. Some have complained about its light weight but I see this as a positive for both the player and the cartridges because you don't want a portable player to be heavy and bulky do you?

So overall I think this is a pretty good unit, for kids as a multifunction device, and for adults as an mp3 player and picture viewer. The only real drawback I see is the availability of cartridges for the kids but since we bought it primarily for the mp3 player the video portion was not of great concern. If you want portable video buy a portable dvd player the video is better ( if you get a player with a good screen ) and the selection of dvds is of course almost limitless.

Cute but needs an additional feature
Love the lamp.We bought it for our 7 year old.Two features confuse me though.One is mentioned in the manufacturers review "the dimmer" and the other is a feature missing "sleep timer".

The manufacturer's review mentions a light dimmer.My lamp does not have one.Also, my daughter likes to fall asleep with her radio on and since there is no sleep timer, I am forced to go in and turn it off every night.This feature is sorely missed....

Otherwise, it is a cute and funtional product and a great addition to any little girls bedroom.

Waste of $$$
I agree the other parents that this phone is a waste of money.It interferes with the phone line and dies in the middle of calls.In the middle of the night it beeps for no reason, and then cuts off the phone line.It also does not have a long range from the base.I have not figured out how to use the features to store phone numbers, etc and we have hadthe p[hone for almost a year and a half.I ended up buying her a new "corded" phone for Christmas.

Do not waste your money on this phone
I am sorry to say that this phone is worthless.I regret purchasing this phone for my girls.The battery does not charge, it messes up the phone line by making it really hard to hear on normnal phone, I know because as soon as I unplugged this phone, the line was cleared of all static.If you want to get them a cordless phone, get them a decent one NOT this one.We are VERY disappointed.
