5-0 out of 5 stars What a play yard
We got this play yard as a gift and it was easy to assemble. My husband put it together without instructions. The wheels make it easy to move from one room to the next.We spend a lot of time outdoors and can't wait to use it!

5-0 out of 5 stars Love It!
I love this playpen. The wheels and carrying case are great (TIP - empty out the accessories from the carrying bag pouch and use it for bedding, toys, etc for overnight trips). We take it to the beach and use the canopy. My daughter loves it. When she was younger she liked the music and as she got bigger she liked to play with the different buttons. The only down side is that it is a little heavier than others but with the wheels & carry bag it doesn't really matter. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Gotta Have It!
We should have bought this stroller many months ago.My 5 month old loves this stroller. It is so lightweight and portable. It is great for traveling, becasue it takes up little space. It is worth the money to have this Combi at hand.It is easy to maneuver and seems to be comfy for the baby as well. The only drawback is there the storage basket inderneath. You cannot fit much into it, but this a minor concern. You just gotta have this stroller!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars What a relief!
Okay folks. Be prepared to be scared! I just purchased this stroller because the travel system that I've been using for my 4 month old has just been recalled for the very unsafe car seat. (yes, the most important part of the travel system.Imagine that!)The shoulder straps keep coming loose from the back of the unit, leaving babies with too much slack, or no harness at all!I found out the hard way! After parking, I almost died after seeing my angel had slipped down so her head was where her booty should be!The Lord was watching out for her, cause she didn't get injured in this potentially fatal situation!Since I had to give back the entire travel system, this gave me an opportunity to get this wonderful combi!I love it so far.It is so compact, easy to open and close, and maneuvers nicely in tight spots. Yippee! Yippee!By the way, the recalled system is the Eddie Bauer Glacier!Tell your friends who my have this system.Very scary!

4-0 out of 5 stars Great compact Stroller
I bought this stroller after testing many out by actually putting my son in and taking a strole around the store.I LOVED this one and it handled great in the store.:)The basket is small but I wanted this mainly for walking anyway. It folds great and fits in the trunk or back seat of my shadow and I can still fit groceries and other goodies!Very easy to throw in someone elses car also.My son looks very cozy in it!

There is nothing to absorb the shock when walking over sidewalks so it is better for mall walking. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Good, but not great!
I bought this stroller because of the buggy feature, color (there were few black strollers at the time), and high quality brand.I was generally happy with it, but I had a few issues:
1.It is not as easy to close as the American models
2.The fabric boot cannot be removed to be washed
3.The wheels are not as large as some similar models for better shock
4.There is no tray for cups, keys, etc. (there is a cup holder, but it is not as handy)

I did love the fact that you could move the handle either way so you could look at your baby or they could look out.

5-0 out of 5 stars The best stroller-worth the money
This is by far the best stroller made. The ride is smooth. The fabric is classy--love the Italian fabric.I haven't had problems with the wheels--people who have, might need to change the wheel settings. The basket is a little hard to get to when using the infant car seat; however other strollers have similar problems when using the infant car seat. I also love that the handle moves, which allows me to see my precious cargo. This stroller is the Mercedes of all strollers.

5-0 out of 5 stars My favorite stroller!!!!
I own 2 strollers.I've been searching for the perfect stroller since my daughter was born and I've finally found it!I started with the P3 (also a Peg Perego) because it is lighter than the Venezia and folds smaller.I figured that with the carseat I could create the same effect as the reversible handle.Boy was I wrong! My baby hates her carseat. And she did not like the P3 either because she couldn't see me.So I bought the Venezia. It is fantastic. My baby is happy because she can see me.And I'm happy because it is a plush, gorgeous stroller.

The wheels are not huge, but it handles fine on city sidewalks. This is not a stroller for grass and gravel, but few strollers are. That's where joggers come in handy. The wheels are bigger than they used to be - starting in 2004 Peg Perego increased the wheel size - they are now the same size as the wheels on my P3.I'm sure that has helped the handling. When you read reviews, pay attention to the age of the stroller because Peg Perego has improved it.

The boot is fantastic. It is so cozy. And you can unzip it, creating a bassinet effect which will also prevent toys (or your baby!) from falling out.The fabric is plush - it's so cozy and soft!

I find the handling to be great.Just remember to lock the wheels closest to the handle whichever way the handle is facing. What's great about this reversible stroller is that it has four sets of swivel wheels, so it handles great no matter which way the handle is facing.

The fold does take some getting used to.But it folds up (rather than towards the pavement) and stands when folded.I always keep one set of wheels locked (the ones closest to the handle in reverse mode). You can also fold it with things in the basket (like your raincover) which you can't do with the P3.It isn't terribly heavy. The 2004 and later models have handles to help you lift the stroller up steps while it is open or out of the trunk when closed. It takes up more space in my trunk than the P3, but I can fit both the Venezia and the P3 in the trunk at the same time.

The basket is HUGE!My P3 basket was ok, not really great.I found it hard to get things in and out. This basket is sooo roomy.Since 2004 the basket can be pushed down for easy access.

That said, there is 1 thing I don't like. The cupholder is a total joke!Nothing fits in it except a can of soda or the tiniest of water bottles. You can't even try to cram anything in there because it'll flip upside down.I clip a diaper bag (Kecci Mommybag) to the loops on the handlebar or hang my Skip Hop and stick my water bottle in the outside bottle pocket.

Also, I am keeping my P3 as a travel stroller. The Venezia doesn't strike me as great for airports since the fold is more complicated. But it is so wonderful that if I could do it all over again, I'd buy the Venezia now and maybe something like the Maclaren Triumph or Chicco Tuscany for toddlerhood. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Not that great
We just received this bouncer as a shower gift. Although I registered for this based on the reviews,I am not impressed. It is very cute to look at, however the vibration feature is loud. It actually vibrates the little bird and makes a loud noise. I do not care for the music it plays either. With out using the toy bar I am sure this would be a fine seat but, I am willing to bet there are better ones out there.

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT SEAT FOR THE MONEY
We received this seat as a gift 1 month ago when our daugher Sophia was 1 month old. She loved it right away. One thing I found was she cries sometimes when I put the music on. But this being my 3rd daughter reminded me that sometimes they look away from their toys and get overstimulated and can't handle too much noise or too much to look at.I learned that the hard way with my middle daughter. So when she cries I take off the toy part and she quickly falls asleep. This is our first Fisher Price seat and the least expensive seat we have ever had but the best performance wise and it is so cute to look at! I just bought it for a friend's first baby.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Bouncer To Have
I received this as a shower gift and I am ever so grateful that I did. My 2 week old daughter loves it. I have been putting her in it since she came home from the hosptial and the only problem I have had with it was that her head sometimes falls over to the side so I use a head support and its fine. She loves the vibration and I have no problems at all getting her to sit in it. She will fall asleep faster in her bouncer than she will in her crib with the mobile going. I dont think she old enough yet to care that there is music and rattles attached even though I can sit her in it and she will listen to the sounds and music she is not interested in the rattles or birdy just yet. She has not seemed to have a problem with the vibration being too much for a newborn and I dont think the motor is all that loud. I feel this is a wonderful item and would highly recommed it. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Great JOG stroller - Not for WALKERS.
If you jog, this stroller is fine. As a jogger, I would not want a stroller with a swiveling front wheel. It would be too difficult to control. It is important that the front wheel be stationary for jogging/running. For walking outside or somewhere with lots of bends and turns, you should consider a regular stroller with larger all-terrain wheels. Great stroller. I just wish it were lighter in weight. I am small and it is large and heavy for me.It is a bit difficult to turn lifting the front with two kids, but it gets easier - and makes your upper body stronger.

1-0 out of 5 stars HATE IT -terrible.
Veres to the left - I can't get it to go straight.Wrists are sore from having to lift up every two seconds to navigate.Kids sink toward the middle of the stroller.Doesn't fit anywhere, even some theme park stroller gates!

They claim it folds compactly - it is still HUGE when it's folded and terribly heavy.I have to remove everything from my trunk and remove the front wheel in order to fit it in my car.A big mistake - I'm returning it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Stroller For the Price
I personally love this stroller for the Price!I didn't want to spend over $300 dollars and I test drove alot before buying this one. I have a very tall!! 2 year old and a Heavy 5 month old and I like the fact that the baby is able to lay down and nap while the toddler can set up. It folds and unfolds easily. It fits well in my SUV, and the best part is because of the size difference in the 2 children they can set side by side and see the same thing, I tried those tamden strollers and my 2 year old was to tall for the canopy and could not recline after a long trip at the zoo. This wil continue to hold the children up to a combined weight of 100 lbs. Also it was easy to assemble. The front tire does not swivel but you quick learn to pop and pivet on turns. And for the oversized tires, I have gone trough all kinds of terrain(off road) without a problem, and through the jungle of the malls.
I have one complaint/wish to have a little larger sunshade and a snack tray but for that price I might be able to search and find a add on accessory.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Product
We have this product and it works great. We first bought the complete system w/ latch and it fit in our Expadition perfect. It easaly swapped to our Tarus as well.It is very simple to install if you have the latch system.I have yet to try the seatbelt system and would probably vote against using the carrier with a seatbelt.I would rather have the system anchored to the car than hooked up with a seatbelt.
I am confused as to one reveiw saying this product does not work. You have to level it out due to the automobile car design, not the babyseat flaw.
The one flaw is the sunshade which is poorly designed.

2-0 out of 5 stars Base Will Not Install Properly
I echo Newmom's warning. After reading her review, I decided to try to install the carseat which we received this past weekend into my Subaru Forester. It simply will not fit properly. The problem lies in the design of our seatbelts. They are too thin to fit snuggly in the base guides, and the accessory that came with the carseat to compensate for thin belts is too large to fit properly on the belt between the base and the seatbelt latch. Our fire dept. personnel has recommended that we NOT use this car seat in our car.If you have comparatively thin seatbelts in your car, you might want to think twice about purchasing this carseat. If anyone has other suggestions as to how to make this carseat fit in our car, please post a followup review! Thanks!

3-0 out of 5 stars Compatible w/ older model infant seat
(I haven't used this product yet, so rating it would be premature; because Amazon's system requires a star-ratings in their reviews, and because the questions about "educational value" and "fun" ofthis "toy" don't apply to a car-seat base, I chose a 3-star rating across the board.)

Peg Perego customer service was very helpful in solving a seat-base issue while saving me money.

I wanted to know if I could buy a new LATCH-compatible Primo Viaggio base for my 2001 model Primo Viaggio infant seat (that originally came w/ a seat belt only base, non-LATCH). Peg Perego confirmed that the new LATCH bases are backwards compatible with my 2001 infant seat.

So I have the LATCH-base system and seat I want for the additional cost of only the base. I'm very happy. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars AGES 18mo at least
This toy was a gift from my father for my son's first birthday and he could have cared less.At about 18 months, he started to pay good attention to the toy, and by 20 months, we have had to re-tighten the screws from all of the use!He glides down the hall and across the family room. The rubber wheels haven't left a mark on our hardwoods! The wood has cracked in under the handlebars, but doesn't seem to affect the over all performance.I say this thing would be better for 2 year olds and maybe just a few months before, but not a good 1st birthday gift.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fabulous Toy!
I bought this trike as a replacement after a plastic trike broke. My daughter LOVES it. It's really sturdy, well built, and fun.She is 2 now and has just as much fun riding it as she did when she was 1.Even my 5 year old rides it around the house and it holds her as well.It is so much better than the other "classic trike" they have with the high handle bars...that one tips over and falls apart.Get this one for sure. It's worth EVERY penny!

5-0 out of 5 stars Assembly required, but 12 month old LOVES it.....
It did not state assembly was required, but was easy for someone who is not good at such things. Gave it to my nephew for his first birthday. Loves it, especially ringing the bell. A great gift for a 1st birthday. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great present for 1st Birthday
The retro rocket is a fun toy for our son who just turned one. Before we even had it out of the box he was pressing the sound buttons. We were even more amazed that he was able to ride it from the start.I was initially concerned when I read that the wheels did not turn but like another reviewer stated that keeps him from running into the wall, etc.We are very pleased with this purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a memorable 1st Birthday present!

5-0 out of 5 stars Stellar Toy!!
From the moment my son first set eyes on this toy at 11 months, it was love at first sight. Six months later, it's still his favorite toy. When neighborhood kids come over to play, it's the one they all want to play with.

Initial assembly was a bit of a challenge, and I had to get my husband to help coax a few pieces together. It doesn't scoot well on thick carpeting, either.

Other than a couple of very minor faults, it's hard to get my son to leave the Retro Rocket alone. He loves pushing it around the room, and hiding his blankie in the seat compartment. His face lights up whenever he rides it. He especially loves the countdown to blastoff and the lights and vibration.

I was talking with the owner of our local children's consignment shop, and she mentioned that she seldom has the Retro Rocket come in, and when it does come in, it doesn't sit for more than a day before someone buys it. I believe it!

5-0 out of 5 stars wonderful toy
I read all the reviews on this toy before purchasing. The rocket was a gift for my one year old son. He loves it and so does our three year old daughter. The size is perfect for him at this age and will still be good for him to grow into over the next couple of years. We like that the wheels don't turn, it keeps him from getting upset when he can't push it because the wheels won't stay straight like some of the other ride on toys. The rocket may seem expensive, but it does seem very durable and I know we will have it for years. This is truly a great toy and I'm glad I got it for my child. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The perfect stroller for babies and toddlers
I have owned a number of different types of strollers and this is by far the best one.It is sturdy, it is great looking and it is comfortable for my toddler.Another reviewer said something about the 5 point harness being unsafe - I do not know what this is about because my two year old son climbs out of everything and he is not able to get out of this stroller because the 5 point harness keeps him VERY secure. Also it is very light - I am 8 months pregnant and find it very easy to get in and out of our SUV.I am so glad I spent the money on this!

3-0 out of 5 stars Storage Space Not Well-Designed
We bought this stroller prior to becoming new parents and did not realize that the storage space at the bottom is not well-designed.I usually need to carry my son's diaper bag when I go places with the stroller. You cannot get it in the storage compartment at the bottom because there are bars preventing you from getting much in there.I could unpack the whole diaper bag and put it all in there individually, but that is not realistic.I have to carry the diaper bag on the handle bar, which is just not that convenient. It is a very strange design.I also echo the comments of others who say it is not easily folded up - it takes two hands and a lot of practice.I would not buy it again.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wow! This is a GREAT stroller!
I know what you're thinking...this is an expensive stroller. It is, but it is so well worth it! I haven't seen another lightweight umbrella stroller out there that has all the features this stroller has! My husband and I are pretty picky about baby items. We do tons of research and then when we find the one we think is the right one for us, we do more research...We wanted a stroller that didn't take up too much space in my trunk, was lightweight and wasn't so bulky when strolling through store aisles, etc. We had an Eddie Bauer travel system and that was just way too bulky. It was great for the first few months of our baby's life, we felt he was safe and secureand comfortable, but now that our son is a year old, we wanted something that would fit him just right.
I looked at every store and online and found umbrella strollers that were cheaper, but nothing really compares to the Pliko that we have. This stroller had the tray and cupholder we wanted, it had a large enough basket on the bottom, it has a parent drink holder (which could hold only small drinks or a water bottle), it is lightweight, has an adjustable canopy (which is what won my husband and I over), that can completely cover our son when it either gets too sunny or cold, has the adjustable handle bars, to adjust for taller or shorter people, whichever makes a person comfortable, has a fully reclining seat that is the most simple thing to operate! It clicks into position behind the seat using just one hand, so when baby is sleeping, you won't wake him up! There is padding on the sides for baby's head, so when he does fall asleep or when he just wants to lean to one side, he won't get hurt. It is easy to fold; just click on the sides of the handles and pull on the lever and it locks in place. The maneuverablity is awesome! So lightweight and easy to push! I personally love this stroller, it is something that was well worth the money, since both my husband and I wanted something that would last until my son is three. It's pretty stylish, but beyond that, it is a great stroller, with everything that a parent would think of to make life just a little bit easier. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Unlike some baby gear items that look cute but don’t serve the most practical purposes, a front carrier will quickly become indispensable to parents—and that’s moms and dads. The Snugli Comfort Vent Carrier is an affordable and entirely useful way to keep baby cozy and close to her favorite people in the world. Newborns face in, with their heads supported by a padded ventilated head-/back-rest that flips down when bigger babies are ready to turn around and face the world. Parents’ hands are free to shop, walk, do chores, or just twiddle their thumbs. Tuck a tiny diaper, keys, wallet, and cell phone in the zipper panel, and you’re ready to break out of cabin fever mode. With padded AutoFit criss-crossing back straps, the carrier automatically adjusts to fit five-foot tall Mom one minute and six-foot tall Dad the next. One of the best features is the dual side-entry buckles that open with one hand, allowing parents to ease a sleeping baby out without removing the entire contraption. Wipe or machine wash. Note: although the weight limits are 7 to 26 pounds, most parents will be ready to move on to other means of transporting baby well before the upper limit. --Emilie Coulter ... Read more

My little one is now 11 weeks old and since she was 5 weeks old I have carried her in the Snugli - she loves it and so do I!It tightens secure so that her head stays still and she is facing towards you (you still need to place your hand on the head if you are to lean over). What a life saver, I am able to do housework, errands, rock her to sleep!I really hated the car-carrier - so bulky and HEAVY, with this I just take her out of the car-carrier, strap her in and (with the little front pocket for my wallet -) we are off to shop. It certianally allows for more freedom. I cannot tell you how many parents (moms and dads) wished they had had this for their children.A must have!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Investment Ever!!
I have a 4yr old, 3 yr old and 20 month old.I purchased this when my second child was born so I could carry him and keep up with my 15 month old.my second loved being held, so this helped tremendously, especially if we were going to be out with out a stroller.and my older son loved it too! When I had my third my oldest was only 2 1/2 so to keep my sanity we had to get out of the house, but I wasn't quite up to the task of an infant, toddler and one walking toddler, nor was I about to spend several hundred dollars on a thriple stroller to use for such a short period of time,so I buckled the two older kids up and put my youngest in this (Which stayed in the basket when not in use). This is absolutly the best investment I have ever made in any baby product (and I've made quite a few :)) It's a great buy too $20!

3-0 out of 5 stars Great price...not so good for new babies...
I really like this carrier. I'm sure I'll love it once my baby is old enough for really control his neck. I am a first time mom and no one told me that a front carrier would be no good for you young baby. I received this at my baby shower and had to put it away and purchase a baby sling. Once my baby is a little older, I will pull it out and probably use it all the time. ... Read more

Editorial Review

We’re not entirely certain that the designers of this versatile playard were intentionally going after a "covered wagon" look or whether that’s just a happy coincidence. But we’re quite sure anyone riding in here is much more comfortable than the folks traveling across the American Midwest all those years ago. It features a removable bassinet and changing table as well as a removable canopy. The happy child inside is treated to ten different classical songs along with five nature sounds. Whether those features actually serve to soothe is a matter of baby’s personal taste but they should certainly have every opportunity. It’s easily collapsible and fits neatly inside the travel bag, which is equipped with wheels. Perhaps not mobile enough to cross the Great Plains and Rocky Mountains but plenty strong enough to make it through a busy airport and all the way to Grandma’s. --Charlie Williams ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars BEST PLAYARD EVER!!!!!
I love this!I am a very very pregnant mom with a two year old daughter. The playard I had with my daughter was horrible, I never once was able to assemble it or take it down without help from someone else, and was very dissapointed. So I researched every playard I could find this time in hopes of a better experience with my second child. I went to the store and tried every playard in the store, and I purchased a different jeep playard, the black and silver one for $119 with the full bassinet, it worked well, but I still struggled a bit in the store, when I came home, I saw the reviews for this one online, so I took the other more expensive jeep back, and ordered this one, and I absolutely love it!I am very very pregnant, and even with my belly sticking out farther than my toes, I put it together all by myself in ten minutes, took it down, and back up right away, no problems what-so-ever.Even easier than the other jeep playards, so if you like the half bassinet instead of the full one, I would definetley get this one, plenty of storage, very sturdy, nice sun shade, etc....can't find anything wrong with it...THANK YOU JEEP!

4-0 out of 5 stars pretty happy...
we got this for our baby shower a year and a half ago, and i am still pretty satisfied with the product. the only thing i really have to complain about it is that the seams on one of the sides of the pack and play gave away and now there is a whole on one side. might be just mine, or might be the product itself....who knows.

5-0 out of 5 stars fantastic playard
We love this product!I researched a lot of play yards and picked this one for all of the features it had.Our daughter is a month old and we have used it since the day she came home from the hospital as a place for her to sleep during the day.We also use it for a changing table so I don't have to go up and down stairs every time she needs her diaper changed. We picked this play yard for its features and it has met all of our expectations. We love that it is easy to put together and take back apart. It even goes back into the bag without a lot of trouble. Having wheels on the bag is a big bonus of us. Our daughter loves thevibrator and music. The only problem that we have with this play yard is that we haven't been able to find sheets to fit it perfectly, but what we found comes close. ... This gentle, whimsical toy provides gentle stimulation and interactive play for a baby or toddler. There are three balls, each with a different colored fish inside, that the child can place inside the fishbowl, prompting soft music and happy, bubbly sound effects. The music and sounds also play when the balls are moved around inside the bowl. The unit has a rounded bottom so it can be gently rocked, and there are two volume settings; a feature parents are sure to appreciate. Requires 3 AA batteries (included). --David Stoesz ... 5-0 out of 5 stars A big hit - for a long time.
I admit I was skeptical when my Mom bought this for my then 5-month-old daughter (sorry Mom, if you're reading this!).But my daughter took a shine to it right away, laughing at the music, watching the sparkly "water" slosh around, and moving the balls around. She continued to play with it up until she was about 18 mos old or so, almost every day. As her motor skills improved she found more and more things to do with it - spin the aquarium around by herself, shake it to see what happens, try to throw or roll the balls into the aquarium...I was really surprised at all of the different ways she found to play with this toy. Great call, Mom! I strongly recommend this toy for other parents.

3-0 out of 5 stars Premie twins mom review of fish bowl
Overall this toy is quite durable, but the balls are on the heavy side along with the extra bubbler that came with the fish bowl. I have twins who run on the smaller side, so it may be a couple more months before they would be comfortable playing with the toy. The music and lights are great and they enjoy watching and listening. thanks

5-0 out of 5 stars Who knew that a fishtank would be so interesting!? :)
I have 2 sets of twins, 3 year old b/g and 8 month old b/b. We also have MANY pets (2 dogs, a cat, and fish). My kids just LOVE looking at the fish tank so someone bought this for us as a joke, but my kids LOVED it!! My 8 month olds love rolling the balls and putting them in the bowl. The 3 year olds love to sort of throw them in the bowl, (not recomended, but as long as the babies aren't around I dont hassle them too much :) ). They all love this toy and I had to go out and buy another one, (I cant have ALL four of them playing with it at once!)This toy is NEVER in the toy box, because someone is always playing with it! My 8 month olds are actually really in love with the turtle, while the 3 year olds love the pink fish! I think they like the bubbles better than the music (because thats what "the real fishies) do!) I love the aquarium toys (we have the crib ones too) and I love fisher price. Your kids will LOOOOVVVVEEEEE this too! ... Read more

Editorial Review

With a little help from a bigger friend (parent, guardian…), young children can launch into the world of learning via interactive books. Little Touch LeapPad is designed for tots 6 to 36 months, with three distinct levels of activities and stories: musical rhythms and sounds; short descriptive phrases; and rhymes and early learning. Stories or activity cards snap into the book frame, along with a story cartridge. Grownups will need to help little ones activate the book pages by touching the "Go" button every time a page is turned, as well as showing young "readers" how to touch pictures to make them come to life with developmentally appropriate narration and learning activities. A comfy cushion is attached to the LeapPad platform for cozy shared reading time. Four AA batteries required (not included). --Emilie Coulter ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Frustrating, poorly made, but a good idea
I wish this Leap Pad had lived up to its potential! I was so excited when it came out just in time for my 3rd child. My older two had greatly enjoyed Leappad products, and I was eager to start my youngest on them too.I bought the Little Touch and 3 book sets right away.My daughter was too young at first to try them.I first gave it a try when she was 6 months, and she had no interest. So I tried again at 9 months. This time she was VERY interested, but it was a totally frustrating time for her.She caught on right away she needed to touch the pages, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't touch hard enough. She broke into tears after a short time.I tried touching for her, but she has little interest in books unless she can hold and mouth them. She tried holding the pages, and badly wrinkled several of them. It's not really a fun learning experience when you are constantly saying "no"!

I do like the whole idea of this product, and I think that if they overcame some of the engineering problems, it would be quite nice.I like the different levels, so that you can just hear music, or hear simple phrases, or hear the whole book. The activity cards included with each book also seem a bit more heavy duty than the regular books, but they too greatly frustrated us in terms of being touchable!

I also question including Where the Wild Things Are as one of the books.I love the book, and my sons do too, but it's NOT a baby book---it's probably fine for 3 and up, but not really something a baby would relate to.I think it's a choice to draw in parents, not babies.

I might try the similar Fisher-Price product if I can find it for a low price.Sorry, Leap Pad!

2-0 out of 5 stars Also disappointed
My twin daughters got this product for their 1st birthday. We have tried to use it several times, but my daughters are more interested in playing with the on/off button and the volume button placed right on the front of the base than they are in listening and looking at the book.It would have been smarter for LeapFrog to have placed these buttons on the back or on the side where they would have been out of eye sight of little ones.I also agree that the touch pad isn't sensitive enough for little ones to push. It's a pain for even ME to get the different spots in the book to activate. However, I haven't had the troubles others have had with the pages ripping. They are made of a paper-type material, but have proven to be very durable. My daughters drag the leap pad around the house by the pages of the books and still haven't had one tear.BUT . . . the pages are very wrinkled making it hard to see the images and also causing the pages to no longer lay flat.My girls are now almost two and still don't care for the leap pad.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not what it appears to be
I was highly disappointed with this. We bought this for my son at Christmas (16 months old then) thinking it would be a great educational toy for him to play with when I couldn't be sitting down with him (like when I'm cooking). We were terribly wrong! We have 2 friends who also bought this and are just as disappointed.

This is not a toy you can give a child and walk away. First, it's complicated to use for a toddler. Every time you turn a page, you must hit the green go button. RIGHT! Second, the books are made of paper and are pretty flimsy. Plus they are rather pricey for the cheap quality. Third, the setting that reads the story is so slow, my impatient toddler never lets me wait to turn the pages before the story is ready. Finally, I'm not pleased with the educational value of the books for the cost. I can buy books on shapes, color, numbers, etc myself and sit and go through the books with my son and he gets a lot more out of it.

Overall, I should have taken this (and the 5 books we bought) back and bought something else. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Gets better with age
My baby got this as a newborn, but was not interested in it until 3 months. As a newborn she would hit the lever to get the bird out and the music would scare her, she spent a lot of time crying while using this toy!Now that she is over 3 months, she likes the music and loves to look at the mirror.I hang other linkadoos from the flower and she loves to pull at them.We have never had a problem with the house falling out, it is buttoned pretty securely, nor has she ever gotten any body part stuck in it.I like this toy and she enjoys it at this age, but if I had to do it again, I would probably get one of the Tiny Love Gyms that hold more interest for newborns.I registered for this because I didn't want anyone to spend $60 on the Tiny Love mat I originally wanted.I thought the red white and black one would be too boring, come to find out my baby gets over-stimulated by music and lights so the basic mat would have been perfect.Get to know your baby first, then decide which mat would suit their interests.

4-0 out of 5 stars My sons loves this
My son loves this.He tries to see himself in the mirror and loves grabbing the animals. He gets so excited when he realizes he makes the music.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Stroller!!
We received this stroller for our shower along with the snug ride car seat and cannot be happier! We love so many things about it.We love how easy it is to open up and fold down.It is so convenient to use the carseat in conjunction with the stroller. The canopy with window is wonderful, the storage basket is great. Both my husband and I have used the cupholders and storage compartment a ton.I honostly cannot say enough. Also, our son LOVES to go for walks in it.I would definately recommend this product.

5-0 out of 5 stars We Love This Stroller
We first had the Eddie Bauer stroller and my son didn't fit in it at all.By the time he was 9 months old I was tired of putting towels between his legs to keep him from sliding forward. We went and purchased this stroller and we LOVE it.He fits in it great. It is easy to get to things in the basket even if the seat is laying flat.It is also very easy to fold up.It is a little heavier than some of the others out there, but for the money we think this is the best stroller.

5-0 out of 5 stars ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS STROLLER!!
I am so glad I bought this stroller. I tested all of the strollers at Babies R Us about a million times. This one won hands down. Also every mom I have ever ran into that has it loves it!

3-0 out of 5 stars Broke within 1 week
I bought this toy for my son.The toy broke within 1 week. The pond sticks and keeps saying the same thing over and over again, the blocks, when put into place, sing the same song, one short verse, over and over again.Unfortunately, the little birds get stuck saying the same things as well.It wasn't worth the money for us.My son does like the shapes though.Hope this is helpful as a lot of reviews have been for me.Thanks.

5-0 out of 5 stars Another toy my baby loves
My daughter received this when she was 7 and a half months old, and still plays with it every day at over a year old. She lves the bee that circles around- I hear "bzzzzzzz...bzzzzzz...bzzzzzzz" quite often! She also loves to "splash" and hear the numbers (you press the "water" and the toy counts up to ten, one number at a time, each time you press it)....she also loves pressing the birds and hearing the baby and mommy bird talk to each other- they each say 3 phrases. You can also switch from learning mode to music mode.

My baby plays with this toy a lot and the batteries seem to last a long time for all that she plays with it, I'm not replacing batteries all that often. She likes this toy better than some other ones that are bigger and do more amazing things.

It seems like at over a year old, she is going to continue to play with this toy for awhile, so that gets the Seal of Approval from me, like I always say, read my other reviews, I have a Big Thing about getting my money's worth out of toys, and skipping over toys that will lose baby's interest in a short period of time. I like that my baby has played with this toy every day for 5 months and still loving it. For example, she played with her Dancing Bandstand for about a week before she got bored with it, and never goes to it any more.

5-0 out of 5 stars Toy with lasting value!
I got this toy when my baby could sit up and boy, did she love it! She smacked that water so many times, she couldn't get enough it. She liked to pull out the "flowers" and bite them, bang them together, throw them, you name it.

She then learned to walk shortly after buying it and I thought the toy would get no more use. But now she has learned to put the shapes back into the holes and loves to dance to the music.

It is also so sturdy, she sometimes picks it up and walks with it. And we've only changed the batteries once in 5 months. LOVE IT! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars What a life saver!
We bought this for our son when he was 3 months old because we were having trouble putting him to sleep in his crib at night. He loved it! We would do our nightly routine of reading a book, and then I would turn this on, lay him down and he would watch it until he drifted off to sleep. He's now 6 months old, and he still loves it.

5-0 out of 5 stars a goodnight sleep
I have to say that not only does my baby love this but the whole family does too. We will get ready for bed and turn the lights off and turn on the sounds and light projector and have our nightly dancing session with baby and my two older kids before laying him down. once baby is down my self, hubby and my girls would lay in bed looking at the adorable pictures move across the ceiling. It's a nice way of even getting our two older kids to clam down as well. a little dance, lay on bed and watch the lights and kids are off to their beds calm and soothed.

5-0 out of 5 stars A LIFESAVER!
My 3 month old daughter is addicted to this.It is a lifesaver when I can't get her to take a nap.She actually thrusts her head back to look at the ceiling the minute we walk into her bedroom because she's looking for the birdies!Well worth the money. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Nice Stroller overall
This is a nice stroller so far, and easy to put together. It is a little hard to attach and reattach the front wheel for collapsing it and putting it in our minivan. The brake is on the front wheel which doesn't make a lot of sense so we don't use it.It would make more sense to be on the back wheels.Otherwise, we are happy with it.

1-0 out of 5 stars not what I exepected
After reading all the reviews of this stroller I decided to get one for my gorgeous son. I agree with the Canadian and not the Bostonian and have to let others know that this is not a good stroller. I had problems with the frame and front tire, the stroller continues to veer to the right. Please look elsewhere and don't base you decision solely on price point.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great stroller and easy to push
I purchased this stroller about 4 months ago. One of my good friends up in Canada had one and she just loved it. So, we decided to purchase one as well. It is durable, light and easy to push. This stroller looks super and most importantly our son just loves riding in it.Living in Boston we needed a stroller that could handle the snowy winters. This stroller with the wide wheels and cover performed perfectly when pushing in the snow. My husband and I were confused about one part of the assembly and contacted tike tech for help. I am not sure what SBK is talking about, but I can say that tike tech's customer service is among the best we have ever received. They were responsive, knowledgeable and very polite. After we read SBK'S review we felt we needed to write a review of our own.

We definitely would recommend this stroller to other parents.

3-0 out of 5 stars Watch their heads!
I loved this product until my daughter bumped her head on the doorframe. We installed it in a typical-sized doorframe and it was not large enough.Maybe in a future house our doorframes that have molding (to hold the product) will be larger.Even though I was literally sitting on the floor a foot away from her, as she jumped up and down she swung to one side an hit her head pretty hard.I don't freak out about little bumps and bruises here and there, but this product does not make me feel comfortable about leaving her side for even a moment.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful for an Active Baby
Before my daughter was able to crawl, we would put her in this every day.She was a ball of energy right from the beginning, and didn't want to lay on her playmat for more than a few minutes, but she LOVED bouncing in her jumper. She'd often bounce for half an hour or more. She seemed to really like the fact that while in the jumper she could see Mama and Daddy and feel like a part of the action. And WE liked the fact that it tired her out a little, so she fell asleep more easily at naptime.

Also, it's very light, and easy to put up and take down, so we took it with us everywhere. It was wonderful for keeping her entertained when visiting friends or relatives.

A couple of tips: It works best in a WIDE doorway.Otherwise little fingers can easily get crushed. Also, read the directions for adjusting the height. There's a trick to it, but once you know it, you can use it even on very short doorways, or if your baby has very long legs.

The only drawback was that once our daughter learned to crawl, she found it way too confining, so we were only able to use it for a pretty short time, but she loved it so much when she DID use it that I think it was WELL worth the money.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great jumper
I have this jumper, just in a different pattern. My son is going to be four months old soon and is VERY tiny. But he is a very active little boy and I knew he needed something fun to do. I didnt want to introduce an exersaucer until about 5 months because its too overstimulating. This jumper is very very nice. I keep his favorite blankets around him and he loves it. He cant bounce too well but he loves the position and if you bounce it for him. It fits in any doorway with a molding over head. It is very very easy to install (took about 25 minutes) and it is very easy to move. Even though it is easy to move, it is very stable. It will not fall and it can withstand even my 2 1/2 year old standing on the seat and "swinging". It is actually very easy to adjust (my friends daughter is 4 1/2 months and a BIG GIRL). My son loves to be in this and it was the perfect solution to my problem. I am also happy that when he does get an exersaucer, we will be able to "rotate" him from jumper to saucer. I cant see anything more you would want in a doorway bouncer, and it is much safer, more comfortable, LESS room, and more fun than the jumparoo! ... Read more
