2-0 out of 5 stars Get A Garden Cart Instead!
After looking at the decline in quality and increase in ridiculously high prices with regards to the Radio Flyer line of wagons, we ended up buying a lovely red garden cart from a local garden store for a fraction of the cost of the largest Radio Flyer wagon. It has real rubber tires, enough room for all three of our kids, deep sides that prevent falling out, and glides like dream! We just added a nice padded liner for comfort and away to the park we all go!There is also a 400lb weight capacity, so it can be used for plenty of yard projects as well!

2-0 out of 5 stars Not worth the money
We bought this wagon a couple of years ago. I must agree with one of the reviewers, it rusts. We had to finally throw it away. It is uncomfortable for the kids and if they are too young they have a hard time staying in because the sides are not that high and there are no seat belts. I would recommend buying a different wagon especially if you have more than one child.

5-0 out of 5 stars The kidzzz loved it!
We found this brand new wagon beside our garbage dump...
It was just there with the cardboard shipping paper still in it!Well, to say the least...my husband took it and my 10 year old and 29 month old just had a ball!
they have gone to the patio and just played with it or walked around the complex with it.The 10 year old likes to be in it with her sister...
So, embarrassing, it wasn't!She had more fun than all of us!

I just rated this 5 stars...what a blessing it was to find this! ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars DANGEROUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Do not buy this toy. I completely agree with all the reviews about the finger trap. My son has gotten his finger stuck many times. If the car does not go in correctly the head will not turn. My son has been using the tv remote to get it to work correctly. Matchbox should recall these. This is NOT a good toy for any age.

4-0 out of 5 stars Bought for 4 year old...
My son loves this toy.He has not "trapped" his finger in the skull like I have read in other reviews.I can see how it could happen though. It only has two removable parts, so less to lose.He can put the pieces together himself and uses the playmat even more than the toy itself. We have a lot of these car playsets and this one is one of the best.

1-0 out of 5 stars I agree to the finger trap!

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT RESCUE SET
MY KIDS LOVE IT, THERE FRIENDS LOVE IT AND THEY PLAY WITH IT EVERYDAY. GREAT FOR PRETEND PLAY. THEY PRETEND THEY ARE SAVING KITTENS FROM TREES ECT... THE GEOTRAX SETS ARE GREAT.

5-0 out of 5 stars A great addition to a great train set for tots!
My 3 year old son is into fire trucks, police cars, and ambulances not to mention trucks in general so this was a must have to add to the Christmas pile. This is a great accessory to his geotrax rapidly growing collection. He is able to connect track with minimal help and once set up he will sit and play for long periods of time on his own.Add on sets like this make it so it's not just a "train set" and he has incorporated using his little people sets to make a whole "city".His little sister even has fun with this one!

5-0 out of 5 stars It works!
The Rescue Station is a great addition to the Geotrax Train set.I am a little confused as to why previous reviewers have said that the train cannot run through the station.Perhaps they are missing something from their set?Works great for us.My son loves it. ... Read more

My son has this truc. It is very cute and durable. He's 2 but my nephews who are 12 and 15 love it too!! It links together easily and comes apart easily. Al so hooks to other trucks of the same style!! Excellent truck!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great truck for rough boys!
I have two boys, 4 and 1 who equally love this truck! They have several in the series of "Rugged Riggz" and they are all great! They play very hard and rough and this toy withstands it all!The wheels are rubberized so they don't scratch my coffee table. You can take the trailer part apart and mix and match with the others in the series.A definite MUST have for those of you with boys and truck-lovers like me!!!

Editorial Review

Kids who love Thomas the Tank Engine may recall the fun when Henry and the Elephant came to the Island of Sodor via the Circus Train. Made of sturdy wood and plastic, this set of three cars comes with five wooden animals: an elephant, a lion, a tiger, a zebra, and a giraffe. Like all cars and engines in the system, these link together via a sturdy and reliable system of magnets. Use them as components in a whole miniature world of train-car characters, wooden tracks, and scenery based on the popular Thomas the Tank Engine book, television, and video series. This product has a lifetime warranty. --Joan DeClaire ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Fun, but can't use the pieces
This is a fun set, except the animals do not fit through any of the tunnuls. We use the open box-cars for the barels that go with another set.If you are only going to use the animals without any tunnels, which is difficult with small children (they love tunnels), its a fun set.If you set up big train configs...get something else.

4-0 out of 5 stars Lots of fun... but size is a problem!
My son recently received the Circus Train for his 2nd birthday. He was really excited to see the animals, and loves to put them in the cage cars and drive them around the track. He has been very frustrated, however, because his train can't fit through any tunnels or bridges when the animals are on board - the animals are just too tall. I think the Circus Train would be a great addition to your Thomas Wooden Railway IF you don't have the bridges or tunnels to worry about. If you do have these items in your layout, I'd suggest the Ivo Hugh zoo set instead, as it is made to fit through those low clearance areas.

4-0 out of 5 stars 1st birthday present
My daughter received this for her 1st birthday. She loves the revving engine and beeping phone.Unlike ride-ons I've seen in the past this one has anti-tip bar which makes it much steadier. We've only had it 2 days but so far she loves it.Improvements I'd make would be a horn on the steering wheel, a phone that comes off the dashboard, and when the voices says "let's sing our abcs" or "let's count to 10" it should actually do what it's requesting. So, not terrifically educational, but in my opinion that's not the point of a ride-on.

5-0 out of 5 stars Baby in love
We have the old style of this toy, but as far as I can tell, it's the same, just different colors. It was given to my son when he was born, but we held off on giving it to him until he was 12 months. It was a little too big for him to sit on the seat and have his feet touch the ground all of the way, but he quickly grew into it.The first thing he did when we gave it to him for his birthday was to "rev" the engine! It was love at first sight. Now at 18 months, he's still completely in love with this toy! He'll push the button that plays the ABC song and dance along with the little kid singing! This toy is a real winner!!! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great for small kids
This wagon is an excellent wagon. The seats are low and the sides are high such that the kids don't fall out.Our two year old loves to ride around the block in this wagon. Our neighbors have the same one and the kids love going down the street together.I found it easy to assemble and I think the door is pretty easy to use.My daughter cannot open it, but I don't really want her to open it, especially when we are riding.I like the idea of the tag-a-long trailer for this as well.

5-0 out of 5 stars Most Useful Item We Have
My sister bought this for us for the baby shower.Thinking that we wouldn't use this till he was older we put it in the closet. When our son was born and we quickly found out that movement was the key to happiness. So we took his infant carseat, put it on the wagon and put him in it.That was a success story in itself. The baby could not be more content. When i was in the kitchen I could pull him in their with me.The days are over driving kids around to put them to sleep.I just pull mine around in the house. We have been using this since week one and we will probably use it until were are grandparents. We love this wagon

5-0 out of 5 stars the best wagon there is!!!!
We bought this wagon at the begging of the summer for my two kids, ages 1 and 3. I think it is so great and they love to get in and out useing the door.Plus there is a little storage spot under one of the seat and when I say little i do mean little! but thats okay it was enough room for their coats or for a small toy. Plus the kids love the 2 cup holders where they can put their juice. I would definatley reccomend buying this wagon! ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't Waste Your Money
Fisher price really missed the mark on this one.My son picked this out at the store and was so excited to get home and have some bathtime fun, only to find out that this toy "is not intended for water use". Which was of course placed on the back of the box. Why would fisher price make a boat that your child cannot put in water? We went ahead and tried putting it in the tub, and it just filled up with water. What fun is a boat that won't float?Does fisher price really think it's fun to play with a boat on the carpet?

5-0 out of 5 stars excellent toy
I got this toy for my son a month ago and he loves it. The first day I bought it he played with it almost 2 hours. The only bummer is that you can't put the boat in the bath tub. It says not to on the back of the box. I let him try it once anyway and the decals started to peel. You can attach a rescue hero to the back of the boat and to the anchor. It doesn't make any sounds but it is still an excellent toy that my three year old really enjoys ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars How Many Thomas' s are Enough ?!?
Apparently one cannot have enough Thomases : -)

We have metal Thomas, plastic small Thomas, plastic large Thomas, and even wooden Thomas and now battery powered Thomas and each was a welcome member of the family.

We like them because each has a realm of play and each goes in and out of favor while all remain loved. Each one of them (with perhaps the exception of the wooden Thomas who has lost a good portion of his paint-LOL) has been a rugged little engine.

Battery-powered Thomas is no exception. He has braved sand and soil and continued to run for hours on end without a break and never once has he been less than a most useful engine.

Being pushed manually does not seem to bother him; nor does being stuck in a corner churning away for hours at a time.

A great purchase for the 3 and above set.

Note:it is helpful to have a small screwdriver handy.A fingernail file doesn't work all that well.

5-0 out of 5 stars A great little engine
I have to agree with the other reviewer that the metal engines are so much more durable and longer lasting than the plastic ones. That said, James is just wonderful though. He sure is hard to find at Christmas, however! If you have a Thomas fan or even if you are just beginning, a battery operated train is a must in my book.We have this one, a metal Lionel and an Imainarium brand and they're all just great. The Lionel by far is the strongest and the fastest, but these character trains like James just can't be beat. They provide hours of imaginative play for my little one and he just loves interacting all of his toys with his train set.Especially after watching a Thomas video.I just wish the trains were cheaper to purchase!

5-0 out of 5 stars Still running hard after a year
I first purchased this train for my son when he was 14 months old (a little over a year ago). During this phase, he was in the process of transitioning from crawling to walking. This train was a blast! Thomas (yeh, that's what got me to buy the trains in the first place) went nuts over the train. He followed it everywhere. We never bothered with the tracks back then since he just caught the train and tried to eat it. It's a great thing the train is too big to swallow.

Well since that time, our Thomas the Train collection has grown a great deal. Here in Europe (where Amazon refuses to ship Thomas trains) I pay a premium of nearly 50% extra for the tracks and trains, but it is worth it. We have bridges and tunnels and elevated tracks. Yesterday evening, Thomas and I setup a track with all the features and we let battery Thomas and battery Percy chase each other around.

My Thomas is still extremely interactive with the trains. He likes to hold the trains as they go around the tracks. When he holds a rear car and the engine pulls away, he jumps up and down and cries so hard out of frustration that he seems like he's screaming for ice cream when he can't have it. This is forcing him to attempt many different methods of trying to reattach the trains together. For the moment, he has a very low success rate of reattachment since he doesn't like to turn the engine off to do it, but he is learning.

I recommend this toy highly for children of all ages. My daughter is now 9 months old and received her first Thomas train car to play with, it's the Sodor Cargo Car and she's chewing away on it. I believe she'll be a huge Thomas the Train fan soon. ... Read more

Radio Flyer's answer to the SUV, this standard red wagon (32 by13.5 inches internally) comes with a set of wooden extender rails thatattach to the metal body with 10 bolts, more than doubling theeffective capacity. (With the rail, it has a depth of over 9 inches.)Note, however, that the rails are .25-inch stock--too weak to withstandheavy loads like rocks or firewood. 4-0 out of 5 stars Nice little wagon
This is a nice wagon but we have had the same trouble as others - the wood sides just don't hold up.They fall out all the time and it just gets aggravating.Wish I would have thought about an all-terrain wagon - that certainly would have lasted longer and I wouldn't be so aggravated. The assembly was okay, but I just think for the money, you could get something that was a little nicer and would hold up better.I'm thinking about replacing ours with something more sturdier. Our little one is quite rambunctious with things and this wagon really has trouble keeping up with our little one.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Wagon
I bought this wagon for my son when he turned 2 yrs old.My son is 3 1/2 now and the wagon is still in great shape! We keep it in his room and he uses it to store all of his toys during the cold months. When it's nice outside, I take him out in the wagon and he has a ball.I don't see any signs of chipping and the wooden sides are still sturdy.I highly recommend the Radio Flyer Trav-ler Wagon!

To those who have complained about leaks, you must not know that Learning Curve guarantees all of the Thomas products for life.Just contact them and they will replace the piece.Even if your child snaps a piece of track in half or whatever.Their customer service is great.

5-0 out of 5 stars What A Neat Addition To The Thomas Line!
These trains came securely package from Amazon, and my 5 year old son loves them!

He's had them for 4 months, and no sign of leakage. (And believe me, he's rough on them! He stores his trains in a Thomas backpack, so they are jostled around with wooden and die-cast trains.)

The pale blue liquid is clear enough to see the pink octopus and gray shark, and the plastic encasement is very thick.

What a fun addition to the Thomas line, especially if your child has the "Down At The Docks" picture book that these trains are based upon.

1-0 out of 5 stars It's a little leaky
These trains are very neat and my sons loved them when we first got them. They each have been through two sets with the same result...the water leaks out after you've had them awhile. They are not worth the money.I highly recommend investing in another train instead of the aquarium cars. This was the first time my guys have been disappointed with a Thomas product. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars A Great Toy Except....
My daughter received this ride on for her second birthday and loved it! We had to take it right outside so that her grand mom could see her using her new toy. The problem with this toy is with the license plate part of it. It is longer than the wheels. So my daughter was scooting along and hit a crack in the sidewalk, the license plate got caught it and she went flying forward. She ended up with a bloody lip and two years later she still has a small scar. We didn't notice that the license plate area would cause a problem until then. My father in law then took it and sawed off the piece of the license plate that was longer then the rest of it and its been fine since then. I believe that you can see what I'm talking about from the pictures that are provided on the site.

Editorial Review

Frighteningly high above a deep ravine, Thomas the Tank Engine peers over the edge, wondering how he will get to the station on time. He's saved only by the immediate construction of a bridge that gets him clickity-clacking across in no time. The Reverend W. Awdry created the Island of Sodor as a place for childhood imagination to run free with his Thomas the Tank Engine series of books. The Sodor Bay Bridge expands opportunities for dreaming and connects to any of the tracks from the Thomas Wooden Railway System. Two train trestle bridges connect to span 25 inches. Manufactured by high-quality toy maker Learning Curve, the bridge is sturdily made of wood with blue plastic supports to endure years of adventurous play. --Lynne Sampson ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The Bay bridge is a must
Starting around age 2 the "World of Thomas" and his train friends became the biggest part of my son's days of play. If you are as deep into Thomas as my family is then the Sodor Bay Bridge is a must have. Hours and hours are spend pushing the toy trains over and under the bridge. Your first three starter purchases should be the trains, the tracks and then this bridge.Good Luck it is an expensive "world" your getting into!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars I LOVED it ... and so did my nephew
I ordered the bridge and then read the review that said the bridge didn't come with the ascending tracks. My trip to a local independent toy store confirmed the review. After purchasing additional tracks ... and driving 4 hours so that the tracks would make it in time for his 3rd birthday, he opened the box and I shocked to see the tracks he needed to connect the bridge to the rest of his set.I guess the manufacturer has addressed this issue....

I played with it (the bridge, figure 8 set with battery powered engine, and additional tracks) for a good hour before realizing I was enjoying it more than him!The tracks are extremely durable. My nephew and his brother and sister all loved it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Love this, but . . .
I bought this accessory for my 2-year-old son Sam, and he loves everything about it except the fact that there is not quite enough top clearance for trains to pass underneath -- You have to set the spans on blocks for that. I also agree that the set should include the ascending track, or at least anotice that it's sold separately. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars gets alot of play time at daycare.
We purchased this toy for my son for his 3rd birthday and it is now a year later and it is still getting a lot of use. We did make a rule that children older than 6 are not allowed to ride on it. I am not so sure it would hold up as well for heavier children, but all the other reviewers seem happy with it. With the seat all the way forward our son could peddle this at three years old. He was already pedaling a bike with training wheels. We have a large concrete area for riding bikes. I am not so sure this toy would be very fun on the grass. It does need room to turn.

4-0 out of 5 stars fun for all ages
i am 15 and i have a blast with these things...my friends push me and then i yank the "e-brake" and turn the hweel and slide around its a lot of fun when it is raining or something....yes i am serious i do this for fun....the only thing is i wish the the pedals didnt always have to be going if the car was going and i wish the sterring wheel was more durable....so awesome

We purchased this car after doing research and comparisons between a pedal-powered car vs. a battery powered car for our 3 year old son.It has been a tremendous hit!!!It assembled easily (my 11 year old helped with the assembly), and has an adjustable seat (for growing legs!)My 3 year old son loves his "car" and rides on it for hours. It was a "no-brainer" when faced with the fact that this car is ready WHENEVER, no batteries to keep charged, and not mostly made with plastic. This car is highly durable and has endured the test of many friends in the neighborhood (when allowed :))We purchased this car in August of 2004 and it has been the best purchase that we've made for our son!!!!GET ONE!!!! ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Not enough curved pieces
The tracks are great although with just this set one can not make a complete track - you have to buy more sets to do that.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very Durable!
I have two extremely active boys that play with these train sets.We have some of the name brand sets and a LOT of the Imaginarium sets, the only peices we have had to break (splinter) are the name brand peices. They are well worth the money!

The only problem I have is the tressel bridge, which doesn't seem to stand up to very active play--mind you though that my boys are extremely active! The bridge just keeps falling down during play.

5-0 out of 5 stars Delicate - Not for average boys
It was a lot of fun. However, the wood quality is not as good as the Thomas series. It is easier to break (after only one day, as oppose to 6 months or so of Thomas series we owned), and I do not know if Imaginarium carries lifetime warranty. They do not have their own website. ... Read more

Your baby or small toddler may be too young to swim with adolphin, but it's not too early to swing with one! Molded in a singlepiece from tough blue plastic, this aquatic friend attaches to astandard swing set. It's cradled by four strong yellow polyurethaneropes that attach to two steel S-hooks. The dolphin's seat area is afull 8 inches deep, even at the sides, and is 12 inches at the back. Most important to parents is the safety belt, which is located justabove the leg holes. Even the worst squirm worm won't slip out. Theswing is designed to be installed so that the dolphin's belly is 16 to24 inches off the ground. --Richard Farr ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars this is fun but one
my parents got this swing and my dad wants to put duck tape on the bottom and my mom wants to put plastice claps on the thing is if you read this and you want to put duck tape on the bottem don't , because its not safe.

4-0 out of 5 stars great swing
We are about to put the swing up for child number 3. My oldest is almost 7 and the swing still looks like new! The swing is a good size for a variety of ages and fun shaped. The only problem is the ropes fray within a year leaving splinters in the childs hand. We replaced the rope once and now have simply duct taped (in matching yellow- they offer many colors now) the part of the rope that hands touch.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good swing, bad rope
We have had this swing for nearly seven years, and the swing itself has held up in amazing shape. It has been used by my 2 children and my nephew, and will soon be handed back again for more use.The dolphin is terribly cute, very sturdy, and the thing swings quite smoothly. My one complaint has been about the yellow rope. After one year in the midwest weather (stored for the winter, mind you), the rope started to fray. Not in a way that would compromise the safety (it's not unraveling), but the rope developed all of these little sharp spines that made it feel like you were holding on to a thorny rose. Duct tape to the rescue! Yep, we taped it up, and now it is not very pretty but smooth for little hands to grasp and functional. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Best purchase ever
I bought this train for my grandaughter 8 years ago for her second Christmas. Yea she rode around the little track on it but it wasn't the most thrilling adventure of her 19 month old life.I held onto it and lo and behold two years ago another grandchild! He started riding this train at 1 year on the track and quickly ditched the track for more adventuresome land (he is 2 1/2 now) and he barely gets off of it. He has figured out how to manuever it around the house, under the kitchen table and around many obstacles. It is the most used toy in our house. Peg Perego is the best I had to replace the battery and the starting switch. I called and within the week had my new items delivered to the door. Excellent quality item, excellent customer service. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars excellent find
Wooden Thomas cars. Many discontinued cars in this pack. My son is a major Thomas fan and loves this set. A bargain as many of these cars sold individually would cost $12 plus each.
