Another great toy from Melissa & Doug!
We've had this stamp set for a year now, and it is still being used constantly by my son and daughter, age 5 now, and my other son, 4 now.They do not get tired of this toy!When I try to de-clutter and rotate the toys, they always notice if it's missing.(Which is more that can be said for most of their other toys).Super price for this set, considering how much it's loved!

4-yr-old daughter really enjoys this stamp set
A few pieces of paper and this kit can entertain my 4-yr-old daughter for at least 30 minutes at a time. I was impressed by how much you get for your money with this kit - 16 stamps, two ink pads and eight colored pencils. She loves to make pictures and cards for friends and family. It's a good way to nurture creativity.

Not a bad product
We got this over two years ago for my daughter when she was 6 months old.We were looking for a mobile that wasn't "traditional."She still loves it and so does her baby sis.Yes, there isn't a sun, but if you look at the proportions, you would need a beach ball for the sun!We hung the planets from differ lengths of fishing line.Our only problem was Jupiter was too low and we kept hitting it.That was easy to fix.Don't forget to put the star stickers on the star tacks.If a tack fall out of the ceiling, you can use a flashlight at night to locate it quickly!

Excellent choice
My son recently finished a study of the solar system in his preschool class and was very excited about what he had learned. I searched for several items that I could purchase to both educated him further and that would add a decorative touch to his room. This item did both.I was rather put off by most reviews on the ease, or in most cases lack of ease, of installation.It took me 10 minutes to string up the planets, afix the fish line to the little star tacks and place them in my ceiling. . . a breeze.If the planets are near a light source they glow brightly and into the night. Infact we awoke this morning and they were still faintly glowing. Impressive.As for the stickers, well they are what they are...tiny. I used them on some left over spiderweb from halloween to create the milky way around the planets and the paper mache sun we created and they work fine.I didn't even need a tweezer. Great product!


Tip for installation - tie the string to the planet first in a knot, then tie a loop knot at the other end. Take that and slip it around the nail of the tack and tighten.The star head will keep the knot from sliding off the nail and it will be secure to hold the planets up. If you actually try to tie the fish line around/across the star head it will take hours and will make for a frustrating installation... ... Read more

WE TURNED THE BEDROOM INTO A GALAXY
I had a lot of fun with my granchildren transforming their bedroom into a glowing galaxy.There was more than enough stars to make a bunch of constellations on their ceiling.These are easy to use and weren't messy at all.The kids love staring at the stars and pointing out the names of constellation before they go to bed at night.I was surprised when they started pointing out the real ones once we were outside one evening.

Perfect for chubby baby hands
These are great for my 2 years old son's chubby hands! It makes him able to built something that we all know what it is, rather than a blob of Play-Doh that only he knows what it is and who gets mad at you when you can't tell what it is!

great fun
I got this for my son when he was 2, as an airplane toy. This kept him quiet and busy for almost an hour. It allowed him to build cars etc before he was coordinated enough to accomplish it with his legos. A great toy. He's very sad that we've lost many of the pieces, but he still uses the suitcase for pretend games.

Great for travel AND HOME - lots of room for extras
I read the previous reviewers comments (thanks) before purchasing for my 2 girls (ages 4 and 2).They are SS fans, so they liked the SS stuff it came with. They use it everyday at home, it's the perfect lap desk to carry around the house or even out on the deck. The latch on the front edge isn't very easy for the 2 year old to open by herself (but I see this as a positive thing!)

Like the first reviewer, I also added some extras (stickers books, scissors, glue stick, mini paint set, stencils) and there is still room for more.I made the best of the space by using some velcro buttons to attach the scissors, glue stick and the crayon box to the inside of the top cover.This works out great, they don't have to dump out the whole thing to reach what they want. We can't wait to take it on our first camping trip of the year.We can easily fit enough craft supplies for a long weekend in this desk.

I feel anything crafty is very educational, they're using their imagination and building fine motor skills, so 5 stars for fun and educational value. The only thing I can't give 5 stars is the durability...The back hinges are only plastic, so they may not hold up forever, but we could probably find some pink duct tape to fix it if we look around the house :))).

For the price we'll get much more than our money's worth from this toy.Great buy!!

Great for Travel
I bought this Clip and Store Desk for our grandchildren (6 and 8) when we took a long car trip. I added a couple of coloring books and pads of paper so that they could create their own pictures. I also put in a roll of tape and scissors. There was enough room for storage of all these items. The children had fun and the drive was easier for everyone. I now take the desks along when we are in the car so they always have something to work on. Would Not Recommend
This is cheap, cheap, cheap.Sounded like a great concept, but it was extremely frustrating to use - - the sponges don't work well at all, and you can't get any real "color" from them.The paper provided was small and flimsy.I felt bad for my son as we worked together to try and paint.I can't believe I bought him such a junkie set.I agree with the other reviewer, invent in a good brush and a "real" paint set.

HUGE WASTE OF MONEY!!!
very suprisingly poorly made toy and not for the age they have specified...possible would work for much older.The colors make a big mess, small pieces are easily lost/hard to keep in order and the pens dont write very well when you wet them.If I didnt get this online and we hadnt made a MESS of it trying to work it, you can bet it would have been returned because Im very unhappy with this purchase!!!

So embarrassed...
My nephew has the real "as seen on TV" set of watercolors and it is great!My 5 yo daughter and 3 yo son loved playing it at my sister's house.When I saw this set by Crayola, I purchased 2 for gifts and my son added it to his Christmas list.When Santa brought it, we were SOOOOO disappointed and it quickly made it's way to the back of the closet.The sponges aren't nearly big or thick enough and it was very frustrating for both of my kids.I had a very hard time making a rainbow with it!Now, I am so embarrassed that I gave the other two as gifts to two friends' children.That is the last time I simply trust the brand name and don't testdrive a toy first.This is a piece of junk and I think Crayola has a lot nerve charging $20 for it. ... Not getting what is pictured
Very disappointed when the product arrived. The discription says styles may very, and they were right. I received product that was about half as cute as what was pictured. Compared to what they have pictured what I received is second rate. I didn't expect much for the quality item and it still was not very good. I would not recommend buying this product and would suggest looking at other options.

Judging by their vast collections, fans of Sanrio’s incredibly popular Hello Kitty are often fond of stickers. Now they finally have a chance to make their own stickers of the diminutive feline. My 5 year old loves this toy.It does waste a lot of tape so to conserve materials, we just make all of the stickers and crank them through at one time.Some of the stickers crinkle a little but since this is a toy neither my daughter, her friends, nor myself are expecting professional results.I am disappointed two fold that the tape and sticker paper refill rolls appear to be the same miniscule amounts provided with the original toy along with the shipping being more expensive than the refill item itself.[...]

If anyone has found a source that sells generic rolls of clear tape and sticker paper that fit this toy please post your findings.

Worthless except that the child liked it
first, the product comes with only one clip on side compartment even though there are slots for two.then, when you finally set up this piece of garbage, the stickers are shoddy at best. the clear overlay is effectively packing tape.the sheet of sticker cutouts is cute but too intricate for the 41/2 year old i gave this to to cut out. (her 6 yr old sister wasn't even able to do it with the awful scissors that come with the set. unless you set up the stickers back to back (which means the kids have to keep playing with this and wait for their own sticker to come out) you waste 3" of the already small roll of sticker tape each time you make a sticker.Also, the area where you design stickers is recessed and way to small, even for a 4 years old's tiny fingers. Plus, the stencil that comes with it doesn't fit anywhere near there making all but unusable. Plus, some of the stencil shapes are too small to use with the provided crayons. Because of these limitations, the sticker creation was limited to sticking a piece of paper down the chute for it to come out crooked and wrinkly on the other end. the crayons were awful anyway and so waxy that even when she did try to draw on the 2" platform, the colors barely showed up. the stamp that comes with it would be cute if you didnt have to pull out your precision levelling tool to get it to come out neatly. The "card" component- basically these are 5 2"x3" pieces of paper.not even sure how to use them. since it seems like they would jam up the machine unless you unloaded all the tape first.If you didn't, the card would consist of sticker paper with backing on the bottom, the card,the pieces of paper used to decorate the card, and the packing tape top coat.the problem with this is that the tape barely covers the edges so the card-sticker mess would not hold together. My niece does like it.If she were any older she's be annoyed and disappointed too.

Hours of great entertainment!
My 4 1/2 year old daughter LOVED this sticker maker.Once we showed her how it worked, she was able to make stickers on her own and used it for four hours straight!I am now looking to see if refills are available or if I will need to buy another set.Either way, we will purchase this item again.I highly recommend it! ... Stimulates the Mind
My daughter received two of this item and one of the Strawberry Shortcake Bead Kits. She loves both kits. I appreciate the idea that she is able to use her time playing with something stimulating for her brain. A bonus to purchasing this item is that a child can play by themselves or with a friend/parent. Also, a child can play with it no matter what the weather is outside. I do wish the craft kit came in a carrying case versus the flimsy box. Add a case and I would have given it a 5.

A ton to do for the money spent!
I bought this craft kit elsewhere for more, and I still thought it was worth every penny.From the tatoos, to the coloring pages, to the stickers the kids can color themselves...it was a blast.And as fun as the markers are to smell, they aren't so fun to get off your table (our's will be green forever, I fear).All in all, a great purchase for any crafty kid.(and that tatoos have enough of pupcake and clouds and such, that my younger son could enjoy the fun too) ...
