Editorial Review

A full set of developmental toys that will delight and grow with children from birth to their first year are integrated into this gift set by Sassy Toys. Newborns will reflexively grasp the Mini Polka Dot Rattle but won't let go, captivated by the colors they see. It has a classic baby rattle shape with plastic rings and a nubbed handle for tactile stimulation. An innovation in rattle design, the Pogo rattle is atom-shaped. It has lots of places to hold and is more than a tool for distracting a cranky baby, it's also a teether. Smiley Face Rattle adds more interactivity with a push-button squeak nose, crazy eyes, and a mirror on its backside for when self-awareness dawns. Winner of the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Platinum Award for best toy, Fascination Station has so much to focus on: four spinning delights of sight, feel, and sound mounted on a base that can be hand-held or stand on its own. Each of these toys has won numerous parent association and industry awards for age-appropriate design features and exceptional quality and safety. (Birth to 12 months) --Lynne Sampson ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Disappointed with the shipping of toys
I think these toys are great and would have been satisfied if I bought these for my own 3 month old son. However these were for a gift and they were shipped NOT in their original packages but just thrown in a shipping box loose with ablack & white photocopied paper describing each toy. I though it looked horrible! And to give this to someone for a baby shower gift looks cheap! They should have been in the original packages at least!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great First Toys!
At 3 months, my son is just starting to notice toys and the Fascination Station has been one of the first toys he has started playing with. The toy suctions to a table or high chair and has a wheel much like a ferris wheel that has several different spinning and rattling parts. I read other reviews about the suction cup not sticking well, or the toy coming out of it's base.We have not had that problem - and this toy was a hand-me-down from a friend whose now 2 year old played with it as well.We now bring it with us when we go out to dinner and it entertains and distracts my son(and sometimes my husband as well!). It is hard to find toys to bring to resteraunts to entertain a small child that pack easily and aren't too noisy so as to distract other diners.

The Smiley face rattle is also great. My son is just starting to notice himself in the mirror and really enjoys the mirror on the back of the rattle. The squeaky noise is fun too.I've been anxiously waiting for him to start playing with toys and it is now just as much fun for me to interact with him using this toy.

I find these toys durable, brightly colored and they really hold an infant's interest. These toys have been a must have in our family and I've recommended them to a couple of friends who are expecting and have already added these to their baby registry!

5-0 out of 5 stars A must have
No toy chest is complete without these.I would add the stacking cups and it's a perfect set. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Baby Tad is a wonderful interactive toy that makes early learning fun andeasy. Baby Tad (short for tadpole) helps your preschooler learn shapes, colors, activities, and songs. When your little one presses a colored light-up button, Tad identifies the colorand shape indicated on the button. With his cheerful demeanor and infectious laugh, Tadoffers support and encouragement and will quickly become a close and trusted friend.Besides various greetings,a squeeze of Tad's hand brings forth favorite children's songs, sung in a squeaky, high-pitched voice. --Alison Golder ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Difficult to push buttons, turns off quickly
My 10-month old daughter always smiles when I bring out Baby Tad, but in my opinion the toy is not very well designed for babies. The buttons, embedded in fabric, are really hard for her to push. After a few seconds of not having any buttons pushed, Baby Tad turns off automatically, bringing a quick end to playtime unless I'm sitting there with her pushing the buttons. Could have been a great toy, but I think they missed the boat.

5-0 out of 5 stars Baby Tad
I gave my granddaughter this toy on her first birthday, hoping it was not too young for her Every time I have seen her, she has been playing with it.She is 22 months and this time she started singing songs from it (unbeknownst to me). When I started singing with her, she brought it over and we sang every song together. What a perfect toy - colors, shapes, songs!

4-0 out of 5 stars cute and playful but not for a 6 month old

5-0 out of 5 stars Favourite baby toy of both my kids
The Whoozit was given to my daughter as a gift and frankly before I had it, I'd have looked at the price and bought a cheaper toy. However it was on her favourite toys as a baby.In fact she played with it until she was 1 1/2 years old, which is a very long time for a baby toy. Now it's my son's favourite. He only has the use of one hand, but it's light enough that he can play with it.It has 7 striped legs with different shapes and textures, a plush red nose that squeaks with a mirror underneath and a terry cloth semi-circle mouth that you can hold onto. The back has a black and white bull's eye pattern which was fascinating to both children when they were under 2 months old.

5-0 out of 5 stars A great baby toy.
I have bought each one of my kids this whoozit and I recently bought my daughter one she is 81/2 months old only I bought her the girl version called whoozit tizoo it is shaped like a heart and WOW she loves it. You can play peekaboo with it and she learns the different shapes and textures. I LOVE this toy and have for years. We also bought the small version for travel. This is a great toy for when they start to focus on things and they will fall in love with it and sleep/play with it for a long time. WHOOZIT is worth every penny...

5-0 out of 5 stars my little girl loves it
My daughter got this as a gift when she was born from a friend that said this was her girls favorite toy.The backside of this toy is a black and white bullseye, my daughter at 2 months could not stop looking at it.Now, at three months, I have this hanging on the side of her play pen (with the help of some link-a-loos) and I prop her up next to it with her boppy and she reaches for the nose, smiles and babbles to it.It so funny to watch her with it.Next to her mobile, and my silly faces, it is the thing that she seems most interested in. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Makes tummy time easier
My baby hated to be on her tummy, but all nurses insist it is critical in baby development.I would put this inchworm under her elbows and prop her up on it and she was much more comfortable.I also wrap it around her head as a head rest in her car seat. It's her most-used toy.She loves the colors and sounds it makes.

3-0 out of 5 stars my son isn't very interested
My son has had this toy since he was 3 months old and has never been very interested in it.( he is now 9 months) You can barely hear the music it plays. That is the only feature I really don't like about this toy.

3-0 out of 5 stars She's just not interested!
This is a cute toy, but our 6 month old has yet to be interested in it.Its large size makes it difficult to hold for small babies.I know it's gotten many good reviews, so I'll keep trying... just know that very young babies may not get much use out of it! ... Read more

Tucker the turtle is made from soft lime green and lavendervelour with brightly colored, boldly patterned trims. Each foot rattlesor crinkles when touched. Tucker's shell features bright geometricshapes and his underbelly is an unbreakable mirror perfect forself-discovery. Two plastic rings and a triangular plastic link are attachedto his looped tail. His smiling face squeaks when pressed firmly andcan even be tucked inside his shell with a grownup's help, though thisturtle has no reason to hide his head. --Tami Horiuchi ... Read more

My son loved this guy!Not to mention that he's adorable! My son loved to look at himself in the mirror and it was great for a game of hide-n-seek with baby-tuck his feet in and have baby look!It was fun!

5-0 out of 5 stars The first toy that caught my son's attention
This was the first toy that held my son's attention long enough to keep the tears away for at least a little while.
He's enjoyed the mirror on Tucker's bottom. Nothing fascinates him more than faces even his own.
The rattling and crinkling amuse him.
And the rings and shapes at the bottom are just right for him to grab and hold if he's in the mood.

Want to give your new baby the sun and the moon? Celeste has athree-dimensional, yellow velour sun face with black embroidery on oneside, and an embroidered satin moon face on the other. Trimmed inbrightly colored, boldly patterned cotton prints, this is one visuallystimulating toy. There's a yellow star teether, a square of purple velour withan embroidered butterfly that rattles when shaken, a green velourcircle with embroidered ladybug that squeaks when pressed, and atriangular plastic link. 5-0 out of 5 stars Daughter's first favorite
We got this as a gift for Maya before she was born and hung it on the toy bar of her pack & play. She loves it!It was the first thing she swatted at and grabbed. Now that she's sitting on her own, she loves to grab it and put it in her mouth. She seems to love the bright, smiling sun.And the stretchy arms are great to grab.

5-0 out of 5 stars She still loves it!
At 4 months old my daughter "picked" Celeste out of the other Lamaze hanging toys. She immediately smiled and giggled when she saw it.We have always used it in the car primarily and to this day, even though she's 2 years old, if it's not hanging up in the car she asks for it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Definitely recomend this
This is such a cute toy. When my son was younger we did not have this one but we had another toy that we hung form his carseat and he loved batting at it or just watching it . It was great for long car rides. I saw this on here and I plan on buying it for my next baby. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great toy addition!
I purchased this toy for my 9 month old daughter and she absolutely loves it! She loves to grab up all the blocks and bang them together and chew on them. My 3 yr. old daughter loves to play with them too and when she stacks them up little sister loves to knock them down. Each block has lots of colors & different objects inside them which keeps my 9 month old intrieged and my 3 yr. old entertained. I highly recomend these! I also bought the Fisher Price Train & blocks set and she loves that too!

2-0 out of 5 stars My son would not touch these
From the time he was six months old till now when he is 16 months old. He never would touch these! He liked the leapfrog drum and the activty tables but not these. I gave them away because they were worthless to me and my family. Very boring toy for imaginitive children.

5-0 out of 5 stars Coolest Blocks Out There
I love Peek a blocks. They have many low priced accessories that can be purchased for the blocks. Like the dump truck, the giraffe, the activity block the little pully wagon thingy, the circus elephant and more.

My son is loves to look in them. I do too. I love the fact that there are so many different themes behind the blocks and they all are compatable with all the many accessories. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Toys!
This was bought for my 3 month old son. He's now 6 months and has just become interested in them. They are perfect for his little hands and mouth to explore. He loves the different colors and textures. Highly recommended!

4-0 out of 5 stars Such a Disappointment
We were so excited to get these blocks for our 6 month old son for Christmas. They are so cute and have all these really neat toys to put them in and drag them around and such.My son is now 8 months old and has never played with them.We also take care of a 10 month old little boy and he is also un-interested.I can't say anything bad about the toys because I still think they are really cute, but my kids just don't really care for them.

5-0 out of 5 stars these are great toys
We bought my 4 month old son a few sets of these Peek-a-blocks for christmas, including the dump truck and train. He's not quite into them yet, as he's just mastering the grabbing skills. But until he grows into playing more, my 2 1/2 year old daughter loves these! She plays with all the blocks, which entertains both her and her brother, who watches her.Despite another review, the edges on the toys are perfectly rounded. That was a big concern of mine, with 2 young children.but i've felt all the blocks edges, and they arent one bit sharp.

I highly recommend these! They arent too expensive, and kids of all ages love them! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Fabulous Learning !!!!
I bought this for my daughter when she was 1 1/2 years old last christmas. She loves it, (and so do I).She still pulls it out to play with.Amazingly enough, we have never lost an animal for more than a few weeks.Since there is a space for each animal, it is a great storage too.You are able to see if you have everything when it is put away.Which leads to another great part about this toy, my daughter LOVES to put all the animals back in their "garages" (as my daughter calls it).Very soon after we bought this, she was memorizing her letters and telling me what each animal was.Since they all have matching letters on the animals and their "garages" it helps the younger ones find out where each goes.I can't say enough good things about this.I hate to buy toys that get put in the toy box and never get pulled out again. But this one has definately kept her attention. When you put that with the educational opportunity, how can you resist it?It is cute!Oh and you know how you get tired of playing the same toys with your children? This one is fun for the adults too. I forgot to mention one of the most important details. There is a form you get with the toy to order more animals if you lose any.

5-0 out of 5 stars My favorite toy for my kids!
This was a gift to my newborn boy, but my 2 1/2 year old adores it!
Pros:
1.helps teach letters (each animal has the letter that starts its name on its back)
2.compact, portable
3.cute!
4.animals good for other play (my daughter likes to pretend to "save" them when they are stuck in a tree, or have them ride in her "airplane" (shoe)... and much much more
5.OK for babies (although the animals are smallish, ~ 3inches tall, they never presented a choking hazard for my son -- who likes to chew them)
6.The animals machine wash well (see chewing note above :))
Cons:
1.Lots of pieces to lose -- we lost the lion for quite a while, but he showed up behind the entertainment center
2.Some of the animals are not so recognizable -- I think "N" is a newt, but it's hard to tell.

Despite the few cons, this is probably my favorite toy that my kids have. Thus, 5 stars all around!

4-0 out of 5 stars very cute, but the music is too loud
My 1-year-old daughter loves this "baby".I had one of these as a kid, and it was almost impossible to turn on, but this one turns on very easily when she hugs it.She also seems to really like the music.

The only thing I don't like is that the music is too loud.If she accidentally turns it on in her sleep, it's loud enough to wake her back up.So while it's an adorable toy, I wouldn't recommend it for bedtime.

4-0 out of 5 stars Glo-ee - We Love It!
My daughter loves the Gloworm.I like the fact that it is small enough for my 11 month old to hold herself. It seems smaller than the older Gloworm that I remember.Sadie loves the light and the music. She has finally figured out how to turn the music on by herself. It is so cute to see her get so excited when Glo-ee shows up.She hugs the doll so tightly.

It is nice that the toy has different switches - one for the light by itself and one for both lights and music.I wish there was just an on/off switch because, when the batteries start running out, the worm makes weird sounds!

I also like the fact that the inside mechanism can be removed and the doll itself can be washed - even in the machine, which I consider a bonus.

My only criticism would be that the toy is very draining on batteries. We are on our third set in less than a month, and that includes cheap as well as expensive batteries.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good choice for the price
My 9 month old daughter just received this toy as a gift. At first it doesn't look like much, but it turns out to be pretty entertaining. She likes the music ( which may I add is easily achieved by pusing lightly anywhere on the stomach) and how the head lights up too! Overall, for the price this is a great toy! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great toy!
I got this toy for my twin sons when they were about 3 months old, now they are 20 months and still love him! He attatches great to the front bar of my Twin Savvy. He makes alot of noises and still keeps them occupied. WE do have to rotate toys now that the twins are older and get bored easily, but Pupsqueak is a favorite! He withstands washings and teething, spit ups, and biting, and even attempts to drop him off the stroller! He makes a cute barking noise and he has alot of little things for a baby to teeth on and to look at. My sons like to fiddle with the rings and hold him, they enjoy listening to him and of course "eating" him. I am surprized in the durablility of all my Lamaze toys and I really didnt think that they would last this long! They are just wonderful! My sons get a kick out of pupsqeak and he really is captivating from birth to childhood, a great toy that will last for years!

5-0 out of 5 stars PUPSQUEAK!
Next to BR Max the monkey (also by Lamaze) and Zach's "lovey", pupsqueak is his favorite toy. Zach is four months old and really really loves pupsqueak. We use him to give variety to our son and Zach really loves him! If we make pupsqueak squeak, Zach goes into hysterics, and my 20 month old twins join in! ITs perfect for those really silent times when everyone needs a good laugh. Along with Max, pups (what we call him) is perfect for tummy time. Pups is also great for teathing, once Zach really starts getting those teeth in! Pups attatches well to almost anything, but my boistrus ball of fire gets so angrey and fustrated if we tether him to anything, he likes to hold him. Pups is very durable and has been easily spot cleaned and even in the wash! The colors are great for my son to stare at and he just loves him. I dont know what it is about Lamaze toys but they sure do put alot of thought into them to make them so gosh darn cute and interesting!

5-0 out of 5 stars WOW
I am dumbfounded. I have two sets of twins, 8 Month B/B and 3 year old B/G. ALL of them LOVE this toy. My older twins enjoy making him a "baby". And giving him kisses amd making him do all kinds of tricks. They could do this with almost anytoy, but the ADORE pupsqueak. That Said I have 2 others wich I gave to my boys. They LOOVVVEE him too! I was amazed. I dont know if its just because hes a dog, (their lovey toys are a black and white dog and a brown and white dog, and they love our boxer and golden retriever mix) or maybe its just because PUPSQUEAK ROCKS! They love it when I attatch him to their carseats, They just got "big boy" carseats and pupsqeak of course had to make the transition too! A few weeks ago we went on a 8 hour car ride, I know that my youngest twins stayed quite mostly because they were soooo comfy in their marathons, and because they had... PUPSQUEAK! They had the option to play with other lamaze toys, which they loved but those just dont compare to pupsqueak. They even like him in the crib and in the stroller, a versitile little toy. And A toy that for 12 bucks will last THREE YEARS, wow talk about getting a bargin! Pupsquek is definatly NUMBER ONE FOR MY LITTLE BOYS! Well maybe number two, but no one ever beats their loveys Puppy and Doggy! ... Read more

The colors are bright and the frame is thick and durable. It is a nice way to add a little fun to math.Plus since it is so well made, when my 10 month old wants to play with it I don't worry about her or the toy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Learning Toy

Editorial Review

An innovative toy for those who are way too young to look after real fish, this soft baby toy is a seven by seven-inch "fish bowl" with two transparent side panels containing real water. Small aquatic critters float around in these narrow walls of water. Even more interesting are the four three-inch stuffy toys (a fish, starfish, clam, and crab) that fit into the "bowl" between the watery side panels; the magnifying effect of the sides really makes these toys (and anything else in the bowl) look as if they are under water. The soft base is weighted and makes the bowl quite stable. --Richard Farr ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars I Have No Words!
This toy left me in awe.It is probably the greatest invention ever including condoms!

5-0 out of 5 stars My baby daughter loved this!
This was truly my daughter's favorite toy.We got it for her when she was about 7 months old, and she played with it daily until she was about 2 1/2.She loved the bright colors and sounds the different sea creatures made, enjoyed teething on the crab, and when she got a little older, loved the "put in, take out" things she could do with the fishbowl.Although it's a little pricey at $20, for us, this toy was definitely worth the money!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for infants!
My son (7 months) got this as a gift for Christmas...loves it!He loves the clam and the crab.I usually shake up the aquarium before I give it to him and his whole face lights up to see the bubbles and the little plastic sea creatures "swimming" furiously around! I would definitely recommend it for an infant. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Babies can grow into this toy
One nice thing about this toy that I didn't see mentioned by any other reviewers is this: neither the keyhole nor the door are spring loaded. This means that for a young toddler like my 14-month-old, you can turn the keyhole to the unlocked position and it will stay that way; and you can leave the door propped open, although it may not stay that way. This allows young ones to put the blocks -- or whatever they grab -- in and out of the box without having to operate the lock. I had been concerned that I was going to be constantly called on to unlock the door for him, but now I see that's not the case. When he's ready, he can figure out how to use the key, but for now, he can enjoy the toy without using the locking function.

I think the bright colors of this toy, combined with the interesting shapes and perfect size of the blocks it comes with, make this toy very appealing to my son.

5-0 out of 5 stars Educational and fun
I taught preschool special education for 8 years, and this toy was a favorite with many of my students. To reiterate what another reviewer said, the shapes are 3-D which is very helpful for babies and children just learning how to insert shapes in a shape sorter.Kids also love the door and key feature, which helps keep the toy interesting for older preschoolers. Now I have 10-month old twins, and they will be getting a lock-a-block toy for Christmas.

5-0 out of 5 stars best shape sorter
This is the best shape sorter out there. The "shapes" are 3-D, so they can be inserted in many different directions, not just 2 directions like the usual toy of this kind. This means that even 1 year olds can really work out the problem on their own.The door and key are equally fascinating, as others have noted: open the door, close the door, take out shape, put in shape, etc for long periods of time. One of the best and most fun toys my son owns, AND its educational in an open-ended way, unlike all of these electronic "learning" toys. ... One of the first steps in learning to read is being able torecognize and label symbols. While your baby may not be naming theentire alphabet by the time he's 1 year old, this interlocking setcertainly offers a firm foundation for future reading. Each12-by-12-inch piece contains an easy-to-grasp, pullout letter of thealphabet; there are 50 pieces in all. Parents may need to help youngtoddlers with assembling the floor mat, since it requires more detailedpuzzle-fitting skills. But children as young as 1 year old can learn tofit the letters into the slots by themselves. This also makes acomfortable tumbling mat or a nicely cushioned play area. The set comesin a clear vinyl storage case with a zip closure. --HannahReynolds ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent toy!
I have a 21 month old son who loves this mat!It keeps him busy long enough for me to get things done around the house!I recommend this to anyone with a busy body child!

5-0 out of 5 stars All For Fun
I love this mat! I got this for my 9 month old daughter and she immediately took to it. She loved the vibrant colors and the fact that she can pull out the letters, within a couple of days she found out that she could pull the whole mat appart (a lot of work for the parent...but all comepletely worth it). Friends have pulled it appart and have used it as a hop-scotch board and built things out of it. The foam is a little flimsy though, so I would recomend watching children when they are teething and figuring out the capabilities of their teeth. But over all I love this and have recomended it to many people.

5-0 out of 5 stars If you have hardwood floors, buy this
We have hardwood floors, which are nice, but when you have a baby who wants to be on the floor, it's hard on everyone. So, we went out and bought this. It's much better than the floor, but it's not carpeting. They're pretty durable - my son has taken all of the letters and the numbers out and put them back and they don't seem to be very worn yet!(He's 18 months and we've had it for at least 12 months.)For a long time, that was one of the things he enjoyed doing the most, taking the letters out, walking around with them, and chewing on them.He would also put them back in later, but not as often as he would take them out.I didn't really worry much about the small pieces - the small circles for the inside of the eight, six, zero, b's, etc - since we're with him when he plays with this. But if you are, you can simply take them out and put them away for later.Of course, that means that your child will be able to pull out the letters and numbers more easily, but that's part of the fun. (Little ones have a hard time getting much of a gripe on the letters and numbers when they're pushed flush with the blocks.)Also, I think that it's nice to have the alphabet out and some numbers. My one complaint is that the one we got, when it's put together has six vertical stripes through all the letters, but then the numbers don't continue it.I guess I wish ours was more random, which some are. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars My Kids Love It!
My daughter, now 2 1/2, received this toy for her first Christmas, at 9 months old.It was love at first sight! She played with the cube non-stop.She loved to flip it over and hear the different songs as well as play with each toy on each side. Her favorite side is still the circle with the vibrating ball on the string.

Now, it's my 14 month old son's favorite toy.As soon as he comes into the room, he goes straight for the cube and bangs on it until it plays a song. His favorite side is the triangle with the mirror. He loves to climb on it and flip it over. The giggles he gets from playing with the cube are satisfaction enough from me!The sound quality is excellent on the original cartridge and the songs are not annoying to me at all.

5-0 out of 5 stars WONDERFUL!!!
This was given to my son at 4 months of age.At first he had very little interest in it.By 6 month's he had learned to hit the top and make the music play, and now at 8 month's he knows how to turn it from one shape to another, climb on it, and play with some of the little "hidden" toys.I think it is a wonderful toy, and the songs aren't annoying. My husban and I find ourselves singing it with him all the time.I recommend it to everyone!! ... Kids will be educated and entertained playing this jack-in-the-box game with Elmo, Cookie Monster, Oscar and Ernie. The popular Sesame Street characters hide away in their vessels (a trash can, bathtub, cookie jar, and alphabet block) until they are freed by a tiny finger on a lever or button. They pop out with songs that match their popular personalities--Oscar lovely trash, Elmo's alphabet, Ernie's ducky and bubbles, and Cookie Monster's cookies, of course. The button and levers make interesting sounds as well. It's a good, repetitive lesson in cause-and-effect that's lots of fun for toddlers. Still, it's not much more than a jack-in-the box if grownups are looking for a toddler toy with more learning channels. Required: 3 AA batteries. --Diane Beall ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Good Cause and effect and motor skills toy
My daughter was behind in some of her skills. She played with this in therapy and loved it. I went to look for it. When we brought it home she has played with it every day since. The sound can be turned off. But I don't. It isn't loud and diturbing. Plus I like the songs it plays.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun, but disappointing.
This toy is fun, but sometimes big bird doesn't flash and play his song because my son doesn't push the button hard enough or move the cookie button far enough.I will admit the toy is fun, but it feels kind of cheeply made and again, the fact that the toy doesn't always play the music makes it less interesting to my son.

5-0 out of 5 stars UNEXPECTEDLY AWESOME TOY
I took my daughter and her friend, who are both three years old, to the toy store and to my total shock out of all the toys we looked at this was the one they wanted to sit down and play with! I purchased it for my one year old because I thought if she would still be loving it at three it would be worth the money for sure! Itteaches cause and effect, a great concept for them to learn at this age, and it helps with their manipulative skills too! I gave it 5 stars all the way around. Another awesome feature that I had no idea about until I got it home and out of the box is the fact that you can turn the music off if you want some peace and quiet and they can still enjoy the toy! I know the girls will be playing with this for a long time to come. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars boring... don't waste your money
My son got this for Christmas and it only had about 1 minute worth of entertainment value. My son walked down the mat once and then was on his way to something else. Find something else.

5-0 out of 5 stars Parents of kids with special needs.......
My daughter has cerebral palsey she is very mildly delayed and is able to walk and is much like any other child. But as anyone with a child who has walking difficulties knows motivation is key. My daughter attends physical therapy and loves this toy there. It teaches her good foot placement and coordination. All the sounds encourage her and with all the kids that go in and out of her therapy center it's very durable. I highly recommend this toy to anyone with a child going through, physical therapy, rehab or any child that just needs a leg up on walking.

3-0 out of 5 stars OK
I ordered this for a friend on-line, I was dissapointed when I finally saw it. You need to step hard on some of the feet in order to get the sound. It needs lights to make it more fun.I would rate this toy as just OK. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Not a winner in our house
We were very displeased with this product. The pieces come off way too easy and the worst part about it is that when baby starts to tumble backwards the toy comes with!My daughter also cannot use the toy to pull up on either. We got a much better playskool one for $5 at a yard sale.Sorry I wasted my money on the other one.

3-0 out of 5 stars Doors come off!
My son loves this toy.He got it for Xmas, and is still playing with it even though he is an excellent walker. The problem is that the "doors" come off very easily, leaving a groove perfect for my little one to climb onto! The cart is also so lighweight that even before he could walk on his own, he was able to pick it up and fall when putting it down sideways.

5-0 out of 5 stars Love it!
I absolutley love this walker (and so does my son)!My son is now 10 months old and loves to walk.We received the FP Brilliant Basics Walker as a gift, but we soon found out that it wasn't for us.It was lightweight and flimsy.Everytime my son tried to use it, it would push ahead of him and he would end up on his knees or on his face...not exactly the right way to help a baby learn to walk.

My MIL bought our son this walker and he just loves it!The speed/traction control feature is a must!Gone are the days of him falling on his face or to his knees. He can actually walk across the room with this and it doesn't fly out from under him.

Yes, the mailbox doors come off very easily, but so what?!My son likes to take them off and play with them. When the doors are off, you can put a favorite toy there instead. My son loves to push around his stuffed animals.

Overall....great, sturdy walker for the price.Very pleased! ... Read more
