awesome!!!
I would not have thought much of the item based on packaging but we received this as a gift and it is my 2 1/2-year old's favorite. She loves the thing. It is now one of our favorite gifts to give. I have not heard of any problems and all the parts are sturdy. It is very cute to see how every little girl 'knows' to sling it over her wrist (I don't carry my purse that way..) Although, we are as likely to find trains and matchbox cars inside as we are to find the lipstick. Definately a great little item!

Excellent!
My daughter got this purse for Christmas last year when she was 18 months old. She is still playing with it all of the time! She loves to take her purse everywhere, just like mommy does! :) She is so proud of her purse that she is constantly showing it to people. Her favorite things out of the purse are the lipstick, keys, and card case. She loves to put her own items in the purse as well. This is a very cute set!

I wanted to get my only little girl her own purse, so she could be like mommy... I have 4 children, 3 year old b/g twins, and 8 month old b/b twins. she got this purse when she was 18 months and she has some new "favorites", but this was a hit anyways. She loves the lipstick, and the sunglasses case (we bought her disney ones) and the mirror. But there are better ones out there, we bought her some chapstick and a little better "plastic" lipstick to keep in there, we supervise with capstick. The keys and phone are the only things she didnt pay attention to, because we have better ones. My 3 year old loves it!
My 3 year old daughter recently was given the Disney Princess Vanity for her birthday & she absolutely loves it.It is a perfect size for her and has some neat accesories with it so that she can brush her hair and put on "make up".I think that it is a great product for the price as well.

I have a slightly different version of this vanity. I bought it last christmas when my daughter just turned 2...bad move. She was really too young.
Now she is three and she loves it!!!!

Who recommends the age range?
A friend asked what she could get my little girl for her 5th birthday and I suggested this vanity.It looked so cute.When we got it and put it together, it was very, very small.We sent it right back and got the Barbie vanity.I can't believe that the age range includes up to 8 years old-NO WAY!!!I put 4 stars for fun because my daughter thought it was fun and wanted to keep it.Her knees hit the top of the vanity and she barely fit on the stool...she's not a big child either.This is best suited for a 2 year old, possibly a three year old. ... Perfect for a girly girl

2-year old loves it!
I got this for my daughter's second birthday, and she loves it! The hair dryer sound is her favorite, and she likes to put lipstick and nailpolish on everyone in the house. Great vanity!
We bought this toy last year for our now 3.5 year old daughter and she still loves it!She is very into pretend and dress up and this toy is perfect for her!She plays with it all the time and even pretends to do my hair and make up with it!I like how it "talks" based on the item you are using, if you take the comb out, it says "Comb your hair, make it pretty". My daughter and her friends have gotten a lot of use out of this toy, I would definitely recommend it!

Great Toy
We purchased this toy last year for our 2 year-old's birthday. She loves it!! Still plays with it. It is nice how each toy is shaped to fit in its' own spot. Mirror talks about each toy. "Ohhhhh... Horrible Product
I bought this item for my child's santa present.The mirror - IS NOT A MIRROR. It is a sheet of aluminum that hardly reflects anything.I was so disappointed I decided not to give it to my child and it ruined the whole Santa experience.

Warning!
The Barbie Fashion Makeup Playset contains REAL makeup, in spite of what the product description states. It is NOT appropriate for ages 3 and up. I ordered this for my 4-year-old granddaughter to go along with her Barbie Vanity, and her mother had to take most of the contents away from her. What a total waste of time and money...

Grrrreat!
My little sister snooped into the closet and saw all of her christmas gifts, so we had to return them and re-buy her presents. We got this and even I love to use it!!

I have to admit, when I first saw the "Let's Pretend" brand name, I was really hoping this was an Uncle Ted costume."Come one, come all! The big, the small..." That was such a great record set when I was a little kid.

I quickly got over my disappointment when I saw that it was actually this awesome hair-dresser costume. My kids love to play "vocational school," so I promptly bought this item. Now they can pretend to be a budding cosmetologist, along with pretending to learn horticulture or air-conditioning repair.

Here's a helpful hint: get a stuffed toy poodle, and your kids can pretend to practice pet-grooming. It's like two costumes for the price of one!
