Editorial Review

This is a happy, noisy toy that should amuse most toddlers. Everything that can be touched reacts in some way, from a trombone-playing frog to a book that sings the alphabet. Our favorite is the colored keyboard that sings each color you press. The tabletop can be placed on the floor for those still in the crawling phase, or can sit on the included legs for a sturdy surface and leaning spot for little ones who are new to walking. If there is any fault with the Learning Table, it may be that it has too many features: each element of the table reacts in two different ways, depending on whether it's in Learn Mode or Music Mode. (Modes are switched by flipping the page of the book mounted in the center of the table.) Though this means more fun stuff for kids to hear, the mode concept is not one that they can be expected to understand, and the effect of the toy's inconsistent reactions is likely to be confusion. --David Stoesz ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great toy!
My daughter got this table for Christmas when she was 6 months old. She wasn't standing yet so we took the legs off and put it on the floor for her to play with. She's been playing with it everyday since. She's now 11 months and still loves it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Can't get enough
We couldn't find very many black, white and red toys so we purchased this as soon as we saw it...and thank goodness we did.Our son loves it and can't get enough of it.

5-0 out of 5 stars My son can't take his eyes off of it!!

5-0 out of 5 stars THE BEST EVER
This gymni is a great buy. I bought this for my daughter when she was two months old and it was the greatest toy ever. She loved looking at the toys at first and begun to kick her legs.Within a few weeks she would bat at the toys and pretty soon she could grab them. This was the greatest toy for my newborn she could lay under it for hours.Which made housework so easy for me because she was very happy under her play gym.Great toy and I recommend it for any newborn. After she was to old for the gym at about six months when she could sit up.She now enjoys playing with the detachable rattle, mirror and music box. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Three years old and going strong
This is a great piece, my daughter loved it. Now that I am expecting another I have pulled it out. Three years later, and a lot of washes it has held up perfectly. Though I do have to purchase new toys for the bar since I can't find all the originals. The only downside is it started to fade after a couple washes....yet I did not wash it on gentle so it is most likely my own fault.

4-0 out of 5 stars I liked it but....
My baby loved this gym and I was so sad when I had to return it. I washed the butterfly according to the instructions of machine washing on gentle and the head almost ripped off!

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the best shower presents
I love this mat!!I had bought the Tiny Love Gymini in black, red and white for my son after reading all the info that those are best colors for newborns and that it was an award winning mat.As a shower present I received the brightly colored butterfly mat by Carters and I figured I'd give that to my mother to keep it there as a spare but I'm glad I never did that. After putting him on the Tiny Love mat he'd just lay there and do nothing.Put him on the butterfly mat and he's happy for hours just hitting all the toys (his favorite is the turtle mirror). Also, for a great funny picture of your little bundle of joy, take a picture of your babies' head on the butterfly head.It looks like the baby has antennas if you place the baby just so and the butterfly's cheeks and smile look like antennas for your baby.It is one of my favorite pix.Needless to say, this is a great product. It keeps my baby happy for hours and he can entertain himself and giggle at the toys as he hits them. ... Activity mats are a staple baby item in most households. They provide a safe, fun, and educationalenvironment where babies can lie, or sit, and entertain themselves. Tiny Love's award-winning deluxe mat depictsa riot of happy animals in Noah's Ark. Roosters, cows, giraffes, and even puppies will charm your baby.Acouple of squeaky, crinkly portholes hiding a cat and a lion add interest to this already jolly toy. Baby willlove the turtle mirror, rattling whale, jangling octopus, jingling rainbow, and the seahorse that sings "OldMacDonald." This mat will provide endless sensory stimulation and will build baby's language-learningfoundations. The mat and its arches fold up nicely, and the entire gym snaps together and travels easily.--Sandy Hirsch ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Investment
We were hesitant to spend $50 on an infant toy, but it was so worth it.My daughter stared, kicked, and rolled for many hours on this toy the first 6 months. The colors are great and she loved the accessories. She is now 9 months and I removed the toys. She now has them hanging on her car seat, stroller, and high chair. This is so versatile and well worth the money.

5-0 out of 5 stars My baby loves it!
I bought this for my baby when she was just over a month old.$50 seemed like a lot of money, but she loves it.She will lay on it and play for an hour, and she is only 2 months old.It allows me to get things done while she is safe & content. It is the best $50 I spent.I'd recommend it to anyone.

5-0 out of 5 stars Worth every penny!
This playmat is one of the best gifts the baby received! During the earlier months, he loved staring at the attachment toys, which encouraged him to reach & bat at things. Later, during tummy time, he discovered the crinkly pad and the bright colors on the mat, itself. We have also taken off the toys and attached them to his exersaucer, stroller, and carseat, for even portable fun. The rings that attached the toys to the gymini were also used to attach other toys with little loops. Therefore, we are still using the gymini (and different parts of it) at 7 months and will probably continue to do so. What a well-designed toy! ... Read more

Editorial Review

This interactive learning toy will grow along with your infant. There are two modes: one for infants and "lie-down" play and the other for older babies and "sitting-up" play. Lie-down play consists of a musical mode and a learning mode. In learning mode your baby can listen to the "Hello World Song" sung in five languages while watching the bright primary colors of the motorized mobile whirling away. In music mode your baby will hear over 10 minutes of music from around the world. For sitting-up play, detach the mobile and your child will be ready for some of the following hands-on learning activities: spin the world ball to hear "hello" in five languages, play peek-a-boo with the mirror, spin the animal roller to hear animal names, colors, and counting. These same buttons will play songs in the music mode, the most impressive of which was the world vocal chorus we heard when we opened the mirror. Thoughtful and engaging, this toy should hold your child's interest for a long time. Requires four "AA" batteries (not included). --Megan Sullivan ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars My 2 month old loves it!
My 2 month old daughter just loves this. We also have the Baby Einstein Activity Gym, however, it doesn't really interest her. This Gym keeps her attention and she just loves the different songs/tunes.I would highly recommend this over any of the activity mats.

4-0 out of 5 stars My 9 wk old daughterand 2 yr old nephew love it.
My daughter love's this. She and the dog love looking up at the mobile. The music keeps her attention and I love that it has all the different languages. My 2 year old nephew loves this also. It coverts easy for a toddler and he loves the touching, spinning and button pushing. All in all I think it is a pretty good learning toy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Mama's Other Little Helper
We bought the Leapstart Gym for my now 19mo when she was about 6 months old.It took her a little bit to be interested in it, as it does with some toys, but when she finally 'got it' she loved it!Easy to move into the sitting up mode - though I had no idea what to do with the mobile then - ?It was great to sit her in front of it and be able to do something without worry of her crawling over to me.She used it to pull up on when learning to stand and it stayed in place - didn't topple over as some toys for that age will. When she started walking she didn't seem to be very interested in it for awhile (at 1 year), but the last couple of months - (17-19) now that she is getting more verbal she is playing with it again.
I like the different languages and the ability to control the volume.I think I've only replaced the batteries twice in just over a year? But I've always turned it off at night. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Poor Quality and not worth the money!
I bought this item for my newborn - thinking it would grow with him and be useful for at least the 1st year.I was SO wrong.First, as I feared, the water "fishbowl" leaked the 1st time I filled it.I returned it and the next one leaked as well. Then, the mirror is one of those "plastic" mirrors that gives a distorted reflection - which was of no value or interest to my son. The cow that makes noise died after less than a month of light to no use. Finally, the toy just didn't have that "fun" value that a $43 toy should have.He hated it - never attempted to crawl down it, never played with the features. Save your money - this toy is of poor quality and poor entertainment value. There are tons of better products out there...

3-0 out of 5 stars Good toy, but not $40 good
I bid on this toy on Ebay ($13), it definitely isn't worth $40.My daughter enjoys it, and she will roll from one end to the other playing with the different parts. She eats the velcro pieces, and plays with the water filled part.Mine has not leaked yet.The animals quit making sounds very quickly.Only one of mine still works. She gets her foot caught under it a lot too, it is too light. She can lift the pieces up.I would not recommend buying this new, but if you can get it cheaper it's pretty good. The Tiny Love Gymini is worth every penny, and lasts a long time!

3-0 out of 5 stars Disspointing
I wanted this toy because it just looked like it was wonderful. It is brightly colored and uses mainly primary colors. One section has a water pocket that plastic fish float in. This is supposed to encourage eye and hand coordination. It had shapes that velcroe to the green background. It has animals that make sounds and fit into circles sort of like a puzzle. There is a mirror also. Everything on it is well thought out in terms of developmental skills a baby needs.

Why is it disspointing? My children, all three of them, never really played with it.

My water didn't leak like many reviewers say theirs did. Everything seemed well put together. It is made for sturdy play. However, it did not get played with at all.

My mirror did get easily scratched and didn't ever work well as a mirror.

I can't explain why my children didn't play with it. Maybe there is too much thought put into this toy and it just isn't fun? Maybe there is too much going on with it?

It is a lot of money to pay for one toy and I wouldn't buy it again. Particularly a toy such as this that really has limited use as babies are only on their tummy for such a short time. Once they are crawling they lose most interest in toys such as this.

3-0 out of 5 stars Average play mat
My baby used this and enjoyed it until about 5 mos...when he was able to knock the whole thing down with this body.I wish I would have bought a play mat that was more stable and with more interesting toys. However, he did enjoy the musical aspect of the hanging toys.It was just ok, but I would not buy it again.

4-0 out of 5 stars Cute activity mat for baby
This is a cute mat for a baby but it doesn't entertain them for very long. My daughter has used this mat since she was born and she has liked it but now that she is 5 months old the toys bore her. The music is too short and I had to buy additional toys to keep her interested. It is easy to clean (I just throw it in the washer and then hang dry it), easy to store (it folds up into a bag), and a great item to travel with (it takes up little room in the car).
Overall it is a good toy and it has some good qualities.

5-0 out of 5 stars My daughter loves it...can't live without!!
I think this has to be the best present we received. My daughter has used it since she was 2 months old.Even before she could reach out and grab the toys she loved just looking at them and hearing the sounds they make. Now that she's almost 5 months old, she loves putting them in her mouth, and making the toys make the sounds herself. Its truly a great activity mat.Whats nice about this one is that its all cloth and is flexible and can be moved around very easily.I've seen others with some hard plastic pieces, etc I like this one much better. The bright bold colors have kept her attention as well. This is a MUST HAVE. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Scary Grinding Noise
I was given this toy.For some babies it may be great.I know babies that adore it.My boy is sensitive and quiet. While he was laying under it, aside from kicking the links accross the room it was alright. So now that he's 6 and 1/2 months and sitting up.I put him in front of it.The first thing he did was reach out and grab that spinning wheel and the grinding noise scared the bejeepers out of him.He hates it and every time he sees it he buckles up his lip and cries.I want him to get used to it but don't want to traumatize the poor guy.I love all of my Fisher Price toys I have for him thus far but this I can't say would be a good buy.

1-0 out of 5 stars Makes my baby cry
This was the 1st toy I bought for my baby when I found out I was pregant because I thought the music and lights would really stimulate him.But everytime I lay him down to play with it, he gets scared and cries.I haven't this problem with any other toys, so I'm not sure what the problem is.

Variety is the spice of life, especially for toddlers. The Flip 'n Play table answers the call. It comes with a two-sided insert and stands 13 inches off the ground. The table's strong point is its vast array of features: a miniature rotary phone, a small flipbook of circus animals, three each insert number and letter shapes, a jingling flip handle, a clock with spinning hands, and a mobile of colorful, spinning "balls within balls." But that's not all. A lever easily activates a circular train track with attachable train. A button next to the lever sets off an authentic train sound. Flip the entire insert over and you have a building table for blocks of squares, circles, rectangles, pyramids, and cat and dog heads (all included). Your child can build a multiplicity of configurations. For even more fun, add to this play center from a wide range of available accessories. --Sandy Hirsch ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Terrific Table
It's got bells--and whistles! Plays train sounds and the clack clack bell sound of a train crossing. You wind up the track for the train manually, put the train on it and away you go. I LOVE the fact that this toy is not a battery-eater like most of his others, and that it does double duty as a block-building table, too! Alex at 17 months still plays with this; we got it for him at 9 1/2 months. He loves to take the top off and sit in it, or sit on the floor on his knees in front of it and use the inside area for a little table to eat a snack off of. He has his own table and chairs, but sometimes he prefers to use this. THERE ARE NO SONGS THAT PLAY, AND NONE WERE ADVERTISED, despite a previous reviewers comments. There are two versions of this table available--this one, and the so-called new, improved, electronic, musical version, which I think pales in comparison to this original. Who needs one more musical toy that does everything but allow the kid to use their imagination and play? Not me! And if you want a good old-fashioned toy, that your kid will love for a long time and that will stand up to that type of use, get this. You'll be glad you did. I only wish I could find more of the plastic blocks that come with this by themselves, rather than in playsets that are sold separately.

2-0 out of 5 stars too late for my 1 year old!
I think I missed the boat on this one; I bought it for xmas for my 13 month old and the only real play it gets is when my daughter and her 3 year old brother take off the "play top" and sit inside it!They think thats fun but thats about it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome Toy
We bought this table based on other parent reviews, and though we couldn't find it locally the shipping cost was well worth it.
Our 11 month old twins love this toy, and when they get done playing with the activity center they pull it all apart and play even longer. The best part is it seems virtually indestructible, and only one small part uses a battery, the train track just winds up. We're very happy with this purchase. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars BORING
My daughter is 13 months.I've taken out this toy on and off since she was about 3 months. She has never done more than poke it and then want to have it put away.Don't waste your money!!

1-0 out of 5 stars No Fun
I bought this toy for my 3 month old. And from day one he was just not interested in it. He is now 10 months and wont even look at it.

There are "floating" toys inside that just stick to the top and are very hard to move and then the designs on the outside makes the toys inside to see anyway.

I don't recomend this.

2-0 out of 5 stars Much smaller than expected
My first son was not interested in this at any age.My second some played with it for about 5 minutes and that was that.

It was much smaller than I had expected, and I found that the fish either stuck to each other, or the back of the mat.

In my opinion it wasn't worth the money. ... Read more

If Goldilocks were to give this slide a whirl, she'd probably say it was "just right." With just two steps to the top and a very gently curved slope to the bottom, this beginner slide is just perfect for toddlers. Though it folds up easily so as not to take up much space, the slide may become a permanent fixture in the playroom. An ideal way to channel a toddler's energy, the slide will require a little help for those who've just learned to walk, but will be something that slightly older toddlers can master on their own. And, of course, there's always opportunity for stuffed animals and other toys to take a ride (with a bit of help). All in all, a simple, durable toy that will bring a bit of outdoor fun indoors. --Jane Snyder ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Fun in his eyes, dangerous in mine
My 16 month old son loves this slide and would slide down it all day if he could.Me on the other hand............I have to be right there when he wants to go on it because there are no handles to help him climb the stairs, and not enough room for him to put his feet out in front of him after getting to the top. There have been a couple of times that I saw a disaster waiting to happen. We collapse the slide when he is not using it, so he doesn't end up hurting himself.Other than that, we love the slide.

3-0 out of 5 stars Fun but needs more careful angle design
My 2 1/2 daughter loves it. We can even carry it to our babysitter's house nearby. My only worry here is that the slide angle is too steep that she always lands on her feet too fast that she's pushed forward and lands again on her knees or face. I had to place pillows or cushions. I'm afraid she's gonna have bruises soon on the knees and shin. Maybe the designers should "soften" the landing by reducing the angle.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great toy!
Got this for my son a year ago when he was just over 1 year old.He loves going down the slide. We use it outside in the summer, & even put it to slide into his swimming pool.In the winter I bring it in the house, & it helps burn off that extra energy. The only problem I have at all with is is it's a bit steep.I was hoping he'd be able to climb up the slide too, but it's too steep for that. However, that makes it a fun, fast side so maybe that's not a bad thing. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars A cheap piece of garbage
I got this for my now 21 month old daughter for her first birthday and I just dumped it by the trash can a few minutes ago for the garbage men to pick up. It's not even worth saving for my summer garage sale. She was never all that intrigued with it, so it hardly got any use aside from throwing the little balls around the rest of the house. It was difficult to construct in the first place, but I finally got it put together...and it seemed to be fine. But when i picked it up to take it to the alley today, the entire top ring was falling off of it and the battery plate fell off - again, after hardly any use in the last 9 months since it has been sitting in the living room. The inflatable ball never stayed inflated due to poor design of the blow hole. The way the sensor works makes the toy especially ridiculous. You have to have it in a where sunlight can't hit it, and with solid colored florring (i.e. no patterned carpet). The sensor sets the sound off at any indication of a shadow change, so as the sun comes through the window the incesent laughter and music can suddenly come on as if possessed. And we also have persian rugs in the house, so when my daughter would crawl under it the toy couldn't tell the difference in the shadows so it wouldn't go off when you wanted it to.

Don't buy this toy...looks as though it may not be available any more anyway because I can't find it on Fisher Price's website...and Amazon says it is out of stock, but other stores online still have it...so be warned...it is simply not worth the money.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent for physical development
This toy is designed well for use by an infant, and did a world of good for my baby. Bending over to pick up balls while holding onto the sides, holding on while walking and interacting with other touch sensitive parts were valuable physical skills my daughter learned while playing with this toy.
The fun music and sound effects are great. It is touch sensitive to action, and placing balls on the track is rewarding. My daughter's physical therapist used this with her each week until she learned to walk.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Fun
We bought this toy for our youngest daughter when she was 8 months old.It is so much fun!She loves it.The music is very catchy even for me and it makes her break out dancing every time it comes on!Her 7 year old sister and 5 year old brother play with it just as much as she does! And the battery lasts FOREVER!! ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Good ride on
We bought this for our son when he was 12 months and he didn't really care about it.Now that he is almost 2 it seems to be a favorite toy. We were about to put it up in the attic when he decided he loved it.Nothing fancy about this ride on but it is sturdy and can be used outside as well as in. ... Read more

Editorial Review

This versatile activity center grows with your child, taking him from the early crawling stage to toddlerhood, and really giving parents their money's worth. Babies will be interested in the arcade as soon as they can sit up and play with the activity board full of stimulating flashing lights and fun sounds and music. Babies will be challenged to grasp the four soft plastic balls or bat the hanging inflatable ball to build eye-hand coordination and motor skills. Once children can crawl, they'll delight in practicing by going through the arcade''s arches and sending the balls down ramps on the sides of the arches. For early walkers, the arcade converts to a low slide with flashing lights that encourage kids to come down. A wheel to the slide's side lets kids fill it with balls and then spill it to start all over again--a cause-and-effect activity that they never seem to tire of at that stage. This playcenter requires three AA batteries to run its electronic features. --Cristina Vaamonde ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Danger----- Parents BEWARE!
We borrowed this toy when my daughter was 8 months old. It was fun for about 2 days then she got hurt! Her leg got stuck down the holes the balls are meant to fall. It took over 5 minutes to get her out, the whole time she was crying and in pain! She was not left alone to play with this toy, I was right there and it happened anyway! Please use caution!

2-0 out of 5 stars Could be better
My 13mo old son received this for Christmas (he was 7mo old at the time). He's now walking (running) and he loves to climb over the purple thing and play with the hanging ball. But that's all he does with it. He never gets it to play music or interacts with any of the ball tracks even though he loves to carry around the balls and hide them all over the house. One big word of CAUTION (which is why I'm writing this review). I decided to set up the slide part to see what he would do with it. After slipping on it several times and banging his head on the various other parts of the toy, it has now been converted back. The slide seems to be too shallow and small to use as a slide with any degree of enjoyment but steep enough to slip on quite easily. I would not recommend it.

4-0 out of 5 stars LOVE THIS TOY!
My mother bought this for my daughter when she was about 9 months old. It didn't take her very long to put together and my daughter has enjoyed it ever since. We don't use the slide part of the toy because my daughter is too tall, but she plays with everything else a great deal. She is very tall and big for her age, and is still able to happily crawl through bars. She loves playing the music, batting the ball and and just generally standing in it and yelling with happiness. I am a very picky mother and we have really enjoyed watching her with this toy!!! ... Read more

After reading others reviews of this swing, I had to comment.I bought this swing for my daughter when she was 18 months. She is now turning 3 and the swing is still in wonderful condition(even the ropes!) even though it's been outside for 1 1/2 years. That's even inluding a storm that brought us about 5 inches of ice.My daughter loved this when I bought it for her and she still does. She could swing for hours if it wasn't always raining in the Northwest.I would most definitly buy this again if I have another child. As for those that are complaining about the ropes...they are ropes! They are eventually going to unravel unless you happen to have a rope from a shipyard that is ment to hold vessels and not a child that ways less than 40 lbs.

3-0 out of 5 stars Swing is OK... constricting
When I ordered the swing I thought that it would have a flat seat for the child to sit in. Instead it has grooves for his legs. The rope is a little short and it is somewhat difficult to adjust for proper swinging. It does swing.I will choose a different seat today.

Editorial Review

Lamaze isn't lying when they say "pop and drop" about this colorful contraption. The easy-open activity quilt makes a soft place for a new baby to take in the view of two overhead arches with three dangling toys--a mirrored sun, a crinkly flower with a pull-down bee, and a ladybug squeaker with teether wings. By reaching for these dangling delights, babies can build important grasping and tracking skills, and hand-eye coordination. Once baby has progressed to rolling over, the activity quilt has hidden treasures waiting to be discovered. There's a crinkly sun hiding in a cloud, a ladybug underneath a soft flower petal, a frog in a lily, and a star behind the quarter moon. The quilt, toys, and arches roll up neatly for easy transport, and the polyester fabric is machine washable. Loops sewn around the mat allow you to attach more of baby's toys, while mesh pockets on the outside make toting those extra items a cinch. --Pam Lauer ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Our baby has played on this all 7 plus months so far...
For a portable play gym, this is awesome.I found this in a store, and bought it as our daughter's only play gym she has ever had. From being a newborn staring up at the dangly toys ... to the times when she started reaching... to now, whe she can pull ever toy (and removes them gleefully from thier hanging position, which she can do on any dangly toy now).. and she rolls over and plays with the crinkly and hidden toys now, while trying to learn to crawl. And, it is PORTABLE!!!I mean, we take this thing everywhere.

It is worth every penny one can pay for it.Now, the one downside, but I would consider this minor overall. It doesn't stay up anymore as much. But, this has to do more with our daughter.I think any play gym would suffer at her hands now.She has always been a big girl (over 9 1/2 lbs at birth) ... she is 7 months, and we buy 2 toddler sizes for her.She can reach up with her toes and knock the whole thing down. She loves moving things with both her hands and feet. But, we still can set it up for her, and away she is with it again, playing gleefully.

If I had one item I would recommend, this is it.There is an arsenal of toys she has she never uses. This one is used daily.

5-0 out of 5 stars It even put him to sleep!!!!
We bought this baby gym when our son was just born and we started using it by 2 months and a half. It has been a wonderful way to keep him busy and even stimulate him. At first he noticed the bright colors and patterns and he only had eyes for the mirrored sun that hangs from the arches. By 3 months he discovered the other toys and started playing with them. He could spend from 40 minutes to a whole hour playing happily by himself and many times I found him asleep hugging the little ladybug squeaker with teether wings!!!! or even the two arches!
Now that he is 4 months and a half he has started knocking the arches down and likes to chew on the toys. But he has rolled over and instead plays with the toys in the quilt. We really think this is a wonderful gym for your baby and you won't regret buying it!!!!!

1-0 out of 5 stars 59 bucks is much for something that allways falls down
i have this pop and drop, it was ok when my baby just stared at it, but when she played with toy bar it would allways fall over, and it would fall in her face, its not worth the money they ask for!and since then i have seen alot better ones. with more toy bars that would stand up to some playing! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent toy!!!
We bought this climber used. The people from which we bought it had owned it for two years. The toy is in great shape and looks brand new!I think this just shows how DURABLE this climber really is.My son is 15 months old and weighs 23 pounds and is 30.5 inches long.He is not too little or too big for it.He loves climbing into the "tower" and playing with the steering wheel. His feet don't touch the ground when I swing him.My husband and I wanted to buy something that he could play with now instead of buying something too big and putting it outside to ruin until he is big enough to play with it in 3 or 4 years.I think it is a great idea to buy a child at this age a toy that they can play with at this age.I wouldn't recommend buying something bigger because a one-year-old won't be able to play independently and learn to climb. This is a great toy!!!

3-0 out of 5 stars Great Idea....BUT....
This toy seems like a great idea...small enough so that your little one can safely explore independently, and with all of the fun things that he likes to do at the "big" playground. My son got this for his first birthday and doesn't show much interest in it. He LOVES swinging on real swings, however, the swing on this set does nothing for him. It is too low, as others have mentioned, and it seems that the seat is too long or deep (or else his legs are really short) so it is really difficult to even get him into the seat; and once he's in there, I can't buckle him unless he sits with his feet sticking straight out. So, he's obviously not too interested in the swing anymore. He has started to explore the climbing structure a bit more on his own, and he is pretty proud of himself once he gets up...but, then there's not too much to do once he's accomplished that so the fun is quickly over! Plus, the roof is so low, he can't stand in there for long. I see that there is a toy that has the same features (the Castle set) and it looks like they've improved on some of these faults- no top over the climbing part and the swing looks like it might be higher off the ground. I'd say spend the extra $30 or so and get that one instead! Or, save up for a real swingset!
Nice idea, but it just didn't work out!

3-0 out of 5 stars fun but too small
We got this for my son when he was one year old because it said that it was for ages 1-3. Well, even at age one, the thing was too small for him. He couldn't stand up in the fort and his feet dragged the ground in the swing. Also, when sitting at the top of the slide, his feet almost reached the ground. Even though it is too small for him, he still enjoys playing on it. He is now 2 1/2 years old and still plays on it. We have another, larger slide and swing set but he still plays on this little one sometimes. He doesn't care that it is too small for him (or maybe he just doesn't notice. It's too small but fun, nonetheless. ... Read more
