Editorial Review

This is a happy, noisy toy that should amuse most toddlers. Everything that can be touched reacts in some way, from a trombone-playing frog to a book that sings the alphabet. Our favorite is the colored keyboard that sings each color you press. The tabletop can be placed on the floor for those still in the crawling phase, or can sit on the included legs for a sturdy surface and leaning spot for little ones who are new to walking. If there is any fault with the Learning Table, it may be that it has too many features: each element of the table reacts in two different ways, depending on whether it's in Learn Mode or Music Mode. (Modes are switched by flipping the page of the book mounted in the center of the table.) Though this means more fun stuff for kids to hear, the mode concept is not one that they can be expected to understand, and the effect of the toy's inconsistent reactions is likely to be confusion. --David Stoesz ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great toy!
My daughter got this table for Christmas when she was 6 months old. She wasn't standing yet so we took the legs off and put it on the floor for her to play with. She's been playing with it everyday since. She's now 11 months and still loves it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best table toy ever!!!

2-0 out of 5 stars Boring
We bought this when our daughter was 3 months old. Either She couldn't reach the toys or they were smacking her in the face. She couldnt make the music come on and she had no interest in any of the toys. She may like it when she can crawl and it turns into a tunnel but as a baby playmat its not worth it

2-0 out of 5 stars Cheap and no fun!
I was not impressed at all with this toy.It looks cheap, first of all, and was not entertaining at all for my daughter, who is now 8 months and has had it since birth. The two teething toys were cheap and looked like something you'd get in a happy meal. The ball was fine, but the only toy really worth the money is the octopus, and it hangs too high up to be any fun-- my daughter couldn't reach it until she could sit up alone, and by then she wasn't interested anymore.I wound up buying a Gymini, and then removing the octopus from this toy and putting it on the Gymini. There are far better playgyms-- don't waste your money.

Editorial Review

Toys that grow with your child from infancy to toddlerhood are well worth their cost. The Classical Chorus Gym is one such toy, allowing your child to explore music at every stage of his development. As an infant, your child can lay on his back and bat at the hanging toys while the keyboard plays 10 different classical or nursery melodies, some with a children’s chorus. You can set the music to play continuously for up to 10 minutes, or only when your child successfully hits a toy, teaching him cause and effect. When your child learns to sit, the keyboard adjusts with him to the proper height, and then adjusts one more times to accommodate a standing or walking child. At these stages, you can set the music to play part of a song when your child presses a key or let your child experiment with scales and individual notes. The keyboard’s "singing" stars light up as music plays to further delight budding musicians. The Classical Chorus Gym requires three "C" batteries for operation. --Cristina Vaamonde ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for all ages!
I love this toy!Someone bought it for us when our baby was born. She's been using it since she was about 2 months old and had enough control of her arms and legs to bat at the toys that hang down. She is now 6 months and sitting up so I converted it so the sitting stage and she still plays with it all the time. When she was learning to sit up it was great too because she would keep her balance by hanging onto the keys and "playing" music. My nephew is 18 months and he still plays with his everyday. This is the only toy that has consistently captured her attention and she will play with this toy for at least 20 minutes at a time.

4-0 out of 5 stars could be better designed
My main problem with this toy is it confuses my four month old.He hits a key, and a star above the key lights up.So he hits the star, and nothing happens. It's a small thing, but this toy would be so much better if either the keys lit up, or if he could hit the star and have it make a noise too.
I love how easy it is to set this up.The legs come off and on very quickly. My son can't sit up on his own yet, so I take the legs off the keyboard, prop him up against me, and have him play. And I really like the large variety of music.I think this is a pretty good toy, and definitely worth $30.

5-0 out of 5 stars Must have!!!!
I love love love this toy!!! My daughter had used it from the day she was born. Now she uses it to pull up and stand. She has never once tipped over when trying. This is one of the few toys that she can stand and play with since that is big in the house now. This toy has gotten more use than any other. ... Read more

If your child (or your budget, or your yard) is too small forone of those monstrous cedar outdoor play structures, check out theHide & Slide Climber, a miniature version of the same idea. Itsbrightly colored (yellow, red, teal, and purple) plastic sections snaptogether quickly, and they won't rot. A red 40-inch slide leads downfrom a platform 26 inches high; underneath there's a crawling andhiding space. It's very stable--the two large "feet" on the side panelsmake the unit almost 60 inches wide. Requires adult assembly, but not asecond mortgage. --Richard Farr ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars A good, basic climber and slide
My in-laws purchased this slide for my son's second birthday. He has enjoyed it quite a bit already. It's durable and not too big if you have a small space.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great slide and climber
I bought this for my twin girls who are almost 2.5 years old and they simply love this slide. I was trying to decide between this Hide and Slide Climber and the Kangaroo Climber and I chose this one, and I am glad I went with this slide. Six months ago my girls played on the Kangaroo Slide at a friend's house and loved it, but I found the Hide and Slide Climber to be better for older toddlers as they have to climb two steps to get on to the slide, and then the slide is higher and of greater length, so they can slide faster and longer. I would not recommend this slide for young toddlers (less than 2 years) but certainly for preschoolers, I think this slide is a great buy.

Over 10 feet long from end to end--with portholes, doors, ladders, slides, nooks, and crannies galore--this molded-plasticplayground promises years, if not decades, of entertainment before allof its possibilities can be exhausted. A 2-foot-long climb-throughtunnel connects two separate, open-topped towers (one is 4.5 feet tall, the other 5.5). The shorter tower has a swinging door and windows, thelarger one has two separate levels and two smooth-plastic slides (one is 3feet long, the other 4). It's the perfect investment for bigger andsmaller kids to play with together. But best of all, the playground canbe disassembled and rebuilt into eight different configurationswhenever the current setup loses its charm. With Little Tikes' typicalrock-solid, kid-friendly construction, you can bet this sturdyplayground will be around long enough for that to happen.--Paul Hughes ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Note for Husbands
OK, here is a review from a guy who bought this thing for his daughter and nephew, and I think I ought to just make a quick comment to those husbands out there looking at this.On a side note, the one they sent me is not nearly as colorful as the picture in Amazon.com, no hot pinks or anything like that, mostly blue, dark green and tan.Fine, but not the color explosion it appeared to be.As far as assembly - crud.Give yourself 2 hours, have a hammer or rubber mallet and you would be best off with at least two good sized friends. This thing is just hollow injection-molded plastic pieces and the parts barely fit together. You basically need to press and bend the plastic pieces into one another while forcing them together to make the thing work. That seems to be what then keeps the thing "durable". I ended up having to literally stand on and jump up and down on some of the pieces to get them to fit into one another.Even then, one or two minor parts just do not fit tightly. On a pain in the butt scale, I give it a 7.5, maybe an 8.Be warned.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not in wasp/yellow jacket territory!
We got one of these when we bought our new home.It came with the house. We love it as do my boys (4 and 16 months) but unfortunately, the wasps love it too.The bright colours attract them and the gaps left where the pieces join together are apparently considered prime real estate for wasps to build their nests.I'm allergic to bees so I am in fear whenever we go in our backyard.I do a walk-around the structure every day, but between morning and nap there have been industrious wasps and so we can't play outside till my husband comes home and gets the nest down and sprays the living daylights out of the wasps or whatever these nasty things are.We are looking into getting either a metal structure or a wooden one...something not as bright and cheerful looking and something without all those little holes.

4-0 out of 5 stars Adjustable, but not easy to adjust
For the most part, it was easy to assemble though there are quality control issues with some of the plastic seams.I had to shave off some of the xtra plastic on two of the panels connecting 'locks' when they snap together. But most of it was pretty to assemble withone person. DO follow the directions when it comes to attaching the'tunnel' because it is a VERY tight fit, for safety reasons. The reconfiguring of the slides is very easy to unmount, but the 'tunnel' is a different story, you pretty much have to disassemble the panel from one of the towers to get it off.One other thing that that you can do with this playground is that you can just keep it separate, it is very stable, and have 2 towers and one slide on each one without the tunnel attached in which they could have marketed it as a 10-in-1.I actually had only one of the towers assembled with the slide attached in the livingroom for my 2-yrs daughter to play with since it rained all weekend and we couldn't set it up outside. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great Toy
We bought this for our son right around his 3 month birthday to keep at his day care provider's house and he has loved it every minute since then.He loves to bat the rattle and watch it spin around.Having the 2 volume levels is a nice feature. We also have the kick and crawl aquarium at our house but he prefers this one a so if deciding between the two I would pick this one.

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good Playmate
The one negative aspect of this toy is the fact that there's absolutely no padding for the baby to lay on. But to solve that problem I put one of my daughters quilt under the cover to make it soft and comfortable for her little body. I find the toys to be in her hands reach and the bright colors and sounds have helped her be more entertained with this toy

Editorial Review

This interactive learning toy will grow along with your infant. There are two modes: one for infants and "lie-down" play and the other for older babies and "sitting-up" play. Lie-down play consists of a musical mode and a learning mode. In learning mode your baby can listen to the "Hello World Song" sung in five languages while watching the bright primary colors of the motorized mobile whirling away. In music mode your baby will hear over 10 minutes of music from around the world. For sitting-up play, detach the mobile and your child will be ready for some of the following hands-on learning activities: spin the world ball to hear "hello" in five languages, play peek-a-boo with the mirror, spin the animal roller to hear animal names, colors, and counting. These same buttons will play songs in the music mode, the most impressive of which was the world vocal chorus we heard when we opened the mirror. Thoughtful and engaging, this toy should hold your child's interest for a long time. Requires four "AA" batteries (not included). --Megan Sullivan ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars My 2 month old loves it!
My 2 month old daughter just loves this. We also have the Baby Einstein Activity Gym, however, it doesn't really interest her. This Gym keeps her attention and she just loves the different songs/tunes.I would highly recommend this over any of the activity mats.

4-0 out of 5 stars My 9 wk old daughterand 2 yr old nephew love it.
My daughter love's this. She and the dog love looking up at the mobile. The music keeps her attention and I love that it has all the different languages. My 2 year old nephew loves this also. It coverts easy for a toddler and he loves the touching, spinning and button pushing. All in all I think it is a pretty good learning toy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Mama's Other Little Helper
We bought the Leapstart Gym for my now 19mo when she was about 6 months old.It took her a little bit to be interested in it, as it does with some toys, but when she finally 'got it' she loved it!Easy to move into the sitting up mode - though I had no idea what to do with the mobile then - ?It was great to sit her in front of it and be able to do something without worry of her crawling over to me.She used it to pull up on when learning to stand and it stayed in place - didn't topple over as some toys for that age will. When she started walking she didn't seem to be very interested in it for awhile (at 1 year), but the last couple of months - (17-19) now that she is getting more verbal she is playing with it again.
I like the different languages and the ability to control the volume.I think I've only replaced the batteries twice in just over a year? But I've always turned it off at night. ... Read more

Toddlers love to hear their favorite nursery rhyme songs, and of coursethey love anything with sound effects and flashing lights. This electronicmusical toy is 45 inches long and 11 inches wide, with a large, one-octavekeyboard sporting a plastic handprint on each key and a red button above thatflashes when the key is played. The keyboard can be played in five differenttones: piano, bells, doggie barks, kitty meows, or birdie tweets, and in severalmodes: complete songs, free-play mode, or preprogrammed mode. The preprogrammedmode is an interesting feature that will help preschoolers (or their parents)learn to play the eight familiar songs. The tiny red light flashes, you playthat handprint, and follow along until--hey, you're making music! The musicalmat has a wipe-clean plastic surface, and it requires two AA batteries (notincluded). --Marcie Bovetz, mother and former children's librarian ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars No Good
I bought this for my daughters birthday and when we got it, it was a piece of junk the buttons worked for one day then the next day when you tried to push a cerain button it would give you a different noise or it would not work at all, the things are hard to push you have to really push hard on them, this toy is not worth it not even the amount they are asking for to be honest I think it is worth fifty cents, I am very disapointed in it.

This was given to my 18 month old son last Christmas. He enjoyed playing with it daily for awhile. I recommend not putting this in the toy box. Now a year later it has some problems - it only plays when IT wants to. I do like this toy, but it needs to be well taken care of to last.

5-0 out of 5 stars Worth It!!!
This is the best thing besides the bouncer that my daughter loves. My daughter can spend an hour or more underneath it!She "trys" to talk to the bird when it hasn't moved in awhile!(She's almost 3months old but loved it since Day 1. Soon she'll be able to explore all the stuff on the mat when she gets more tummy time! I totally recommend this item!!!!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Well worth it!
Love this playmat... the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it lacks a "kicking option".To take care of that problem I bought the wind chimes in the playmat area and they hook to this gym and my baby can kick at those. He loves to watch the bird and it is pleasant to listen to.

5-0 out of 5 stars fantastic toy for baby
My daughter loves this toy. The bird at the top flutters on when the baby kicks the bars. The music and chirping sounds are both quite nice. The toys that come with it to hang from the bars are very nice too. I like that the toy hangers are kind of horseshoe-shaped, so that if baby pulls hard enough the toy will come off the bars and she can play with it. We've taken a couple of them and put them on the carseat.

My 3 y.o. old plays roughly with it, and so far it has held up!

Babies will get a real physical and mental workout with this play gym. It's pretty much like all of the other models out there, but its stand-out is its versatility and diversity of features for infants at all stages. A kicking gym for infants is made of attractive objects than spin, light up, and make sounds with each tiny foot-fall. A Ferris wheel loaded with colorful balls spins overhead to create additional interest. Babies who can sit up can spin the Ferris wheel themselves, and watch it release the five balls down a tunneled ramp and out the side of the gym. This in turn sets off music and lights as the balls zip past noisy, spinning obstacles. It's not just fun and games, though: the activities are designed to develop motor skills, cognitive learning, and stimulation of the senses.Diane Beall ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Safty problem
This toy looked so great in the store, but we were not happy once we got it home.We read the box and it was misleading. The kick pad is just a plastic plate with a sticker on it.You can hit this toy anyplace and it will start to go.We had to hit it very hard to make it work at all and a young baby would more likely push it away than start it.The sounds are not the most plesent it's like one of those toys grandparents would buy to get back at their kids.It show the toys moving but it's not easy enough for a child to do even an older one and the balls that come off to roll down the ramp we could barly get off.I would expect there to be a nob or button to push to make them come off and roll down. This toy realy only does one thing the rest it like getting plastic balls. My son was 2 months old when we got it a little young for him then and he hated it.He would rather be on the floor with out a toy than that one, maybe the sounds :).he is now almost 4 months old and he plays with it for a very long time, I was surprised.
HOWEVER PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE TOY MAY NOT BE SAFE.THE BAR THAT YOU CAN LOWER FOR AN OLDER CHILD TO PLAY SITTING UP MOVES,IT WOULD BE VERY EASY FOR A CHILD TO GET THEIR FINGERS SMASHED.THE BOTTONS YOU USE TO LOWER THE BAR STICK OUT AND THERE IS A GAP BETWEEN IT AND THE BLUE BOTTOM WHEN THE RED BAR IS UP.IT CAN VERY EASILY ROCK FORWARD AND CATCH EVEN MY FINGER, MY SON CAN'T QUITE REACH IT BUT IT WON'T BE LONG AND AT SOME POINT HE COULD ROLL OVER TO IT.I found that putting a boppy pillow under him and the toy up to a wall keeps him from pushing away from the toy and his hands away from the bottons works for now.I would be watching while your child plays with this one.

1-0 out of 5 stars skip it
We received this item as a gift, fortunately there was a gift receipt with it. The music, even on its lowest setting, is too loud, our baby seemed put off by it. Also, the hanging parts were too high for him to kick. The flashing lights didn't seem to interest him either. He lost interest in about 5 minutes and looked a bit irritated. Stick to a product like the Baby Einstein Play Gym, we have that and he's wild about it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful toy for my3 month old
We did find that the toy was a little high for a baby to play with so we improvised and sat him in his bouncy chair to play with it.He is so happy when he sits in his chair and playsthat he will sit there for an hour or two if we let him.He also likes to lay on his back on the floor and play with it but he likes sitting in the chair much better. So I would recommend this product to anyone. ... After reading others reviews of this swing, I had to comment.I bought this swing for my daughter when she was 18 months. She is now turning 3 and the swing is still in wonderful condition(even the ropes!) even though it's been outside for 1 1/2 years. That's even inluding a storm that brought us about 5 inches of ice.My daughter loved this when I bought it for her and she still does. She could swing for hours if it wasn't always raining in the Northwest.I would most definitly buy this again if I have another child. As for those that are complaining about the ropes...they are ropes! They are eventually going to unravel unless you happen to have a rope from a shipyard that is ment to hold vessels and not a child that ways less than 40 lbs.

3-0 out of 5 stars Swing is OK... constricting
When I ordered the swing I thought that it would have a flat seat for the child to sit in. Instead it has grooves for his legs. The rope is a little short and it is somewhat difficult to adjust for proper swinging. It does swing.I will choose a different seat today.

The activity Dino made my newborn smile and helped him to learn to sit up.Even now that he is older, he will see it laying on the back of the couch and will crawl to it and crinkle some of the fabric or will just smile at the colors or when I squeeze the nose to make a roaring sound.I highly recommend it, especially for the 0-4 month age group.

5-0 out of 5 stars Makes a great gift
I think this is a great product. It supports my son when he is sitting up and he loves to play with it. I have noticed older children like to curl up with it while watching television. I think this would make a nice gift because it is unique. Unlike most baby toys and products, we will get years of use out of the Activity Dino.

1-0 out of 5 stars Expensive rubbish - waste of money !
We recently ordered Dino for our 6 month old son, thinking we could use it initially to help him sit up and then later as a fun rough-and-tumble toy. What arrived was a small overstuffed sock with a few "crinkly" spines. The quality of the material was cheap and nasty and the construction is appauling. As for the "roar" of the nose - we could barely hear a squeak. Needless to say, we returned this "toy" immediately. Don't waste your money - a pillow with a decorative face would be just as good and at least the cover would be washable ! AWFUL !!!!! ... Read more

Editorial Review

Simply put the Move ‘n Groove Dance Mat on the floor and let your child dance the day away. The keyboard makes six different notes, the instrument icons play various tunes, and when the picture of Barney is stepped on, he will issue instructions to step on the blue footprint, step on the red footprint, etc., and even congratulate the child when she steps on the correct spot. The furry, inflatable Barney figure spins around when music plays, an effect that would be better if he didn't tilt weirdly to one side. Nonetheless, Barney is still a nice bonus with this mat since, being removable, he is a fun toy in his own right. True, the combinations of things you can do may be limited, but the physical and interactive qualities of this toy are a big plus. --David Stoesz ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars TRICIA LYNNE MAY
I LOVE BARNEY HE IS THE BEST EVER AND MAKES MY DAY EVERYDAY INCLUDING SUNDAY GUYS SERIOUSLY INCLUDING SUNDAY!

1-0 out of 5 stars How to stabilize barney....
ok - if you've made the mistake of adding this to your toy collection you can try stabilizing Barney by sliding a pair of chopsticks down the right side of his right leg (but not all the way down - just under his arm to about ankle length)and a little baby spoon (or something that size that won't puncture the inflatable plastic) down the inside of his right leg. You still have to keep him inflated to the max and he still tilts to one side slightly. We will see how long the interest level lasts with our one year old and our 3 year old and then we will toss it!
One other piece of advice - just accept the fact that there is nothing that "teaches" dancing here - there is no instructional foot stepping directions from Barney. He just asks to find things on the mat - not to any song or rythym or any pattern at all. So, this could have some "fun" value if your child loves jumping around on the mat with Barney to all the music and sounds the mat makes when danced on.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun for a range of ages!
I have 4 kids from 1 to 6 and they all loved this toy!We haven't had any problems with it falling over. The only problem I have noticed is that it seems to go through batteries if you don't turn it off when not is use.I think this is a great item especially for the price! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun for 3 of my young children
I bought this for my 8 week old to enjoy and she does she bats at the toys watches herself in the mirror and coos to the music. sometimes its a little overstimulating for her and the only part i have problems with is when she kicks her legs she hits the green foot bar wich causes her to push the toy away. but this could be fixed by placeing it against a wall or holding it. the best part is that my 3 year old and 2 year old enjoy this toy as well and its sturdy so i dont have to worry about them breaking it. i also found it easy to asemble had it together in 5 minutes. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Im 15, and this rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the coolest toy ive ever played with in my entire 15 year old life!!!

3-0 out of 5 stars Too much for a 3 month old
My son was afraid of this toy at 3 months, it was too loud for him. I'd bring it out every so often to see if he was ready for it, but it always made him cry! Finally, at 8 months, he actually loves this toy.
One small problem is that he likes to put his hands on the wheels that spin/turn and it causes them to make a clicking noise and it stops them from spinning while they're moving and I dont know if that will cause it to break after a while.
I think it's just too loud with too much going on for a 3 month old.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great in the car
As an infant, my daughter hated car rides.I origially purchased this for her to play in her crib, but instead decided to hang it on the back of the seat of our car so when she was in her infant carrier she could "kick and play". It worked!!!! Car rides were not as miserable. She would kick and activate the music and balls and smile and giggle away. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Good Toy but WAY to big!
I recently bought this toy for my 10 month old son.I was wanting a toy for his stroller. When I took it out of the box and tried installing it on his stroller I could never get it to securely fasten and the toy is WAY to big.I let my son play with it anyway and he seemed to like it but not worth keeping.

I am going to return this item because of two reasons: 1) To big for the stroller and 2) Don't like the fastening straps.

1-0 out of 5 stars doesn't attach to a 20 lb +car seat
we received this toy as a gift for a 1 year old daughter who liked to pretend she was driving.it didn't attach to a 20lb+ car seat. so obviously, it didn't stay in our child's lap for very long, and it would drop to the side. it wasn't entertaining either. we ended up selling it at a garage sale for $1. and instead we bought the mickey mouse driving wheel roadster that lights up and plays tunes, and it was an instant hit.

Compatible with any Hedstrom gym set, this swing consists of awide, rigid, U-shaped plastic seat and twin chains. The "U" is slightlyflared--about 8 inches wide at the bottom and a foot wide where itattaches to the chains. The chains are 5 feet long and coveredwith green plastic sheathing. (No more pinched palms.) Another nicefeature, which you might miss until you use it, is a channel in theseat underside; it makes pulling the swing back a whole lot easier.Nuts and washers (but not the bolts from which the swing hangs) areincluded. --Richard Farr ... 5-0 out of 5 stars great swing for kids
This swing is perfect for my kids.My two year old fights with my 4 year old to get on.It is perfectly shaped and seems better than sling swings. It does shift sometimes but I just check it before they get on to make sure that it is flat.My kids love this swing so much that I am buying a second one for their playscape.

1-0 out of 5 stars slippery
This swing appeared easier to use than a traditional swing for 3-5 year olds, but in practice it was more difficult. It is both slippery, so the child slips off, and unsteady, so the seat moves or swings out from underneath the child.A traditional flexible swing seat works better for us.

2-0 out of 5 stars Doesn't add much to the play experience
My 2-1/2 year-old son received this for Christmas along with three of the plane characters and one of the hangars. The play mat is very cute, but it basically just acts as a storage area in our living room for the toys.He never uses it to actually play with the planes in terms of running them down the roadways, etc.It is durable enough, but I would say it's a waste of money.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not such a great idea
I was so excited to see this mat I thought that it would be great to use with the wooden airplanes and buildings.I cannot understand why this mat was not made to accomodate the buildings/planes that are made for the wooden set (,planes, hangers, firehouse etc.)The mat should be a runway without airplanes and buildings pictured so that it could actually be played with.If anything they should have drawn dotted lines for where to place buildings that you have. What are you supposed to do with the wooden buildings that you have they do not fit on the mat.The planes can actually go inside the wooden hangers(more fun than a flat mat).Though the hangers are too small to accomodate all the planes(example the kids hanger....only two fit not three)It does make a nice, expensive rug or door mat for decoration though.

3-0 out of 5 stars Disappointed
I felt "jipped" to receive what is basically a printed doormat for the $... I paid. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars A few gliches, but good indoor/outdoor fun
I think other reviews pretty much cover it all, it's a good toy. We bought it for our 2 year old when winter comes and he can't play outside, we put it in the family room corner, it's the right size. For the small problem of not being able to climb up, I just want to offer a suggestion: there are holes on the standing board, I ran a rope and tied it up through the 2 holes closest to the steps, so he can climb on using the rope as a help. Make sure you tie the rope really tightly underneath the board, so that the toddle won't trip over it, it works greatly for our baby, good luck.

5-0 out of 5 stars Grandmother of Boys
My oldest grandson got this toy for his first birthday. He is now 9 years old and has 2 younger brothers and all of them still play with this toy. I have tried to talk them into giving it to me for the younger grandchildren, but they aren't ready to part with it. They have a large basement playroom and it stays inside most of the time and is used for a fort among other things. It is still in excellent shape and was well worth the money.

5-0 out of 5 stars The perfect outdoor climber
I researched many climbers, and finally decided that this was the one for us.My 2-year-old loves it!Assembly was easy enough that we can disassemle it and put it away for winter. The platform was a little tricky to get into place.I don't think I could have done it myself, but my husband did it without too much trouble. There are many different aspects of play with this climber - a long wavy slide, a fairly large platform complete with a steering wheel, a secret hideout area underneath, holes to climb up and down and in and out - all for a very reasonable price.I'm so glad we didn't have to spend several hundred dollars to get something that our son loves. What impresses me the most is how durable it is.My husband had to jump on the platform to get it into place. It didn't bow at all!It appears to be indestructable.(I certainly wouldn't leave it out all winter.)I brought it home from the store in my Subaru Forester, which is not a big vehicle.(out of the box)This was a big plus in my book.Anything bigger probably would not have fit.I expect that many summers of fun will be had with this purchase. ...
