THIS IS BAD REALLY BADIN PLASTIC NO DISPLAYBOX NOTHING FOR THE PRICE I EXPECTED MORE.MY DAUGHTER WILL LOVE IT AS SHE LOVES LORD OF THE RINGS BUT I FEEL THE PRICE SHOULD BE MUCH LESS AND AMAZON NEED TO SORT THIS ONE OUT

What is really there:
The item description is wrong. However, this is a great set if you want to get many pieces at once. This is a collection of pieces from different Play-Along/Art Asylum sets. This is a description of what's really in the set, described in order as they are place in the box with the original Play-Along/Art Asylum set in (). 20-piece set: Sauron (as in "The defeat of Sauron"), Rohan soldier + horse (same as "Rider of Rohan"), 2 haradrim soldiers (from "Legions of Haradrim"- except the center one). Twilight Ringwraith + Ringwraith (from " Ringwraiths", I believe the latter is also in "Ambush on Weathertop"), Two Uruk-Hai (Ugluk & Mauhur), Merry and Pippin, Sam and Frodo in Mordor armor, Snaga form "Mordor orcs" and Shagrat/Gorbang/Mordor Orc (as in "Orcs of Mordor"), Aragon (as in "Ambush on Weathertop") Gimli, Eomer (from "Soldiers of Rohan"). These are Play-Along figures, beautifully detailed but also rather brittle especially the thin pieces like arrows and spears (not for young kids). The set comes in a white box not in the regular blue with map cases that the Play-Along/Art Asylum sets usually come it.

20 piece lotr setNO LEGOLAS!!
All the figures look great but the description from toys r us is not right.To start, there is no Legolas at all.There is no pony for Merry therefore he is not on pony.Anyway, WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PICTURE IS WHAT YOU GET!Everybody looks good but again there is NO LEGOLAS and it would have been nice to atleast get a Gandolf & Smeg. ... The Awesomest
I bought this Sauron for my six year old's birthday. It is tré cool. It says, "You cannot hide. I see you," and its eyes light up red. The body is well constructed and jointed at elbows, shoulders, knees & hips, with a lot of armour detail, and a shredded-edge black cape. The head and wrists turn. It also says, "There is no life in the void,"and "Build me an army worthy of Mordor." Very ominous, with nice pointy boots. If I'd known it would be this much fun I'd have gotten two.

ULTIMATE BAD GUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got this toy a few weeks ago and it is incredible. His cape is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! cool its even realistick. One of the spikes on his head is bendy so it is a little bit irritating. He is very poseable but I can hardly think of a good pose. If you have frodo gollum and sam which came in the mount doom gift pack you can compare the sizes and you will find that they are puny. The ring is not the best part!!!!!. Dont listen to that reviewer his voice is loud but not booming and the frazez are old fasion. his club thingy is hard to keep in his hand but you could get a hold of it. I had so much fun making him pound up my other toys. Nobody stood a chance exept aragorn who wields narzil I have that figure. The bag of rings is not most detailed and it is hard to locate them in the box over all a nice figure.

AWSOME FIGURE
I've had this figure for awihle and I know it's awsome. His armor is highly detailed, and his mace is huge. I don't know about you, but I like to whack my other figures with it! My cousin, and brother both like to collect LOTR figures and so do I. My favorite part about Souron is his helm. So before this figure is sold out buy it today! ... Read more

A gift for a huge fan.
I purchased this set as a gift for my grandmother. She has been a fan since the mid-60s, and she has a shirt, with the phrase "Frodo Lives", that has been around before the term "Trekkie" ever applied to the fans of Star Trek. My grandmother is a diehard Tolkien fan and loves "The Lord Of The Rings" films by Peter Jackson. I have been looking at this set ever since it was released, a year ago. I finally purchased it and am waiting to give it to my Grandmamma for Christmas. This is an excellent set with an amazing likeness to all of the characters. Although I have not opened this set, I can make out the cover of the "There And Back Again & The Lord Of The Rings" booklet and have seen many pictures. This is my favorite featured piece of the set, for not only does it hold very much sentimental value for me, but it will also be very important to my Grandmamma. The figures are rather fantastic, save for Bilbo (played by verteran actor Ian Holm), which is a much younger version than the 128-year-old Bilbo that appears in the film. That being my only critisism, this is an excellent gift set and would make a terrific addition to any fan's collection. Keep up the good work, Toy Biz.
I hope this review has been helpful to anyone interested in this set.

Nice Set of Hobbits
I bought 4/6 of this set on e-bay.I bought Merry, Pippin, Sam and Frodo.They are nice looking figures.I like the fact that they have more and better joints, so they are more bendable.A must for all collectors.

Mixed Feelings about this one........
I was very pleased with the intricate details of these figures, and the choice of outfits... i am in love with the Bilbo figure, its one of a few that are made, and probably one of the best. The only part i was unpleased with was the book that is included. Of course i am refuring to "A Hobbits Tale"... It only contains 2 pages of maps, no writing at all... I must say i was disappointed about this, but otherwise, a great toy! ... Read more

why i`m notsatisfied

Mount Doom Sam
Just arrived in the mail yesterday and I love it!!!! Dead-on likeness to Sean Astin. Figure is fully poseable, with Sting and comes with a sound base/stand that captures two lines of Sam's from the movie: 'I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you!' and 'Throw it into the fire!' spoken in the actor's voice when you press the button. He can be fitted to the stand with pegs that match the holes in his feet, and looks wonderful beside his Frodo counter-part. ... Read more

great three pack
This is a great three pack.Shagrat is awsome, he comes with his cool Uruk sword and this is the first Mordor Uruk yet.Gorbang is really cool because if you have Frodo and Sam you can play out the scene when Sam kills Gorbang.I don't think the orc with mace was in the movie but he's a great addition to the set. Mount Doom Frodo
It took few days of display to better appreciate this toy. The likeness is of an exhausted, emaciated Elijah Wood. At first glance, he looks rather odd because his neck is a little longer than it should be, but then that's because the head is hinged so that his chin can almost rest on his chest; nice touch for posing him in Sam's arms. He comes with a sound base that resembles a small island in the lava flow from Mount Doom. There are pegs which fit the holes in his feet and he stands very well. But I was disappointed that he only has one quote, albeit a good one - 'I'm glad that you're with me, Samwise Gamgee, here at the end of all things' - and he's still wearing the one Ring around his neck. Still, I purchased both of the M.D. hobbits and as they do look just terrific together, I'm happy. ... Read more

Awesome looking Ringwraith!
This ringwraith is very large and made quite well.He has a good blend of plastic robes and cloth robes.He comes with two swords.I tried putting the little one in its sheath , but the other sheath and the plastic robes made it really hard.In the end, after pushing to put it in, the sheath just broke off.I'm not too sad, though, because the big one is much better.He doesn't look so clunky with only one sheath.He does have trouble standing up, but I finally found a position that works.He needs to be leaning back just slightly.This is a must have for all LOR collectors.

SO REAL IT'S SCARY
When I purchased this figure at Toys-R-Us the elderly clerk frowned and said, "Are you sure you want to buy this? He's missing his head." I said, "Duh, he's a RINGWRAITH." Are there actually people who have never seen this film? Holy Cow. Get a clue.

RINGWRAITH is highly detailed in rubber, plastic, and cloth. The actors were laser scanned for this figure. As previously stated by the other reviewers he is a little unstable, which makes him tough to pose. To make him stand on his own you may have to get some DAP FUN-TAK (earthquake putty), put some on the bottom of his feet, and stick him to the shelf. (DAP FUN-TAK is available at Amazon.) I'm thinking about gluing his knees open in a wide-legged stance with JB WELD so I can forget about him falling over. But Sauron would probably be opposed to that idea and I don't want to ruin the figure. His sword should have been molded into heavier plastic. Mine was curved like an Arabian scimitar when I got it. I guess I'll have to straighten it in the microwave. Just kidding. He does have a couple of sheaths to stow his swords, but he looks bizarre without a weapon in his hand. Be CAUTIOUS when putting the large sword in his right hand. It's next to impossible to get the pommel of the large sword past his Kung-Fu grip and there is the risk you may break his hand. He looks awesome on my big TV.

I didn't realize how REAL this figure looked until I ate some magic mushrooms and RINGWRAITH came alive and attacked my talking TREEBEARD. No, really. It scared me silly. But, you'll be relieved to hear that TREEBEARD sent him fleeing back to Mordor.

But seriously, IF YOU COLLECT LORD OF THE RINGS, YOU MUST HAVE THIS FIGURE. IT'S ONE OF THE BEST I'VE SEEN. AND IT'S ONLY 10 BUCKS!!
