If your kid's into this stuff, this is the thing to get
My kid loves this hat.It's soft and fully collapsible and has a velcro compartment for the bunny.It looks like something the Artful Dodger would wear when it's worn.Goes great with a Darth Vader cape.My kid made the white bunny disappear into the hat and totally confused our scottish terrier.To my dog, my kid is the Master Sorcerer.

Magic is for losers.If you love your kids, redirect their energy to other hobbies.Some examples include: video games, sports, reading, arts and crafts, baking, or animal care.

Great toy!
My daughter received this magician's hat for her birthday, and has truly enjoyed performing magic tricks for all her friends, classmates, and visitors. She's really learned some showmanship with it, and even adults are at first amazed that her items seem to vanish from the hat. The hat itself is soft and well made. Lots of fun
This is a kit with directions and equipment for ten magic tricks. Some of the items are made of paper and seem a bit flimsy. I agree with the previous reviewer who said the stacking boxes needed some reshaping. However, overall, this is a great kit.

My son worked hard practicing and practicing and showing off his magic tricks. We did one a day for a few days running. It taught him to work at practice and it helped him practice his speaking in public (since he performed for everyone!)He was able to complete most of the magic tricks with little help after one demonstration. Lots of fun.

A first Magic set for my 5 year old, he loves it!!He and his friends have created magic acts for each other and have laughed all the way.The tricks are easy enough for their age to try, and remember how to do. The directions come with pictures, so they can figure them out if the wording is too comlplicated. The set itself is durable enough fot most tricks to be done over and over.The blocks take some reshaping and the rabbit ring trick does not really fit right, but overall, a good first set.It definately was the hit ofa rainy Sunday!!

Perfect for the beginner magician
This is an easy to understand and simple to set-up magic kit for the first time magician. If your child is a reader, then they are capable of presenting most of the tricks independently. A plus! A wand is NOT a sword
I guess I forgot that in today's society children tend to think of fighting instead of the wonders of magic.
I bought this for my 5 year old grandson.The first thing he did was put on the hat and grab the wand and start charging with his sword ... eeks ...I had to remind him that Harry Potter would never use his wand as a sword ... that it is only to be used for magic.I would have said David Copperfield to him but he would have said ... Who ??
I'm sure it won't last long as it is a bunch of cardboard.What do you expect from a 5 year old.Butttttttttt...It gave some quality time between father and son as he had to spend time with him to figure out the tricks.So what if the toy doesn't last forever, the memory of daddy doing magic tricks with him will.

Trash it!
This item stinks!One of the hat tricks doesn't work right and most of the other tricks are so lame that both my four year old and six year old think it's stupid.There is always one Christmas toy that makes its way to the trash...and this is the one.Even if they used it I'm sure it would make it's way to the trash as the hat insert and some of the cardboard props dent and rip very easily.

Great for Beginners
This is a great little starter set for anyone who wants to get started in Magic. This set has a variety of tricks to keep both you and your audience on their toe. Some of the tricks can be performed with just a littlepractice.But there are some that you need to work with for a while beforeyou present them to your audience.

Dora the Explorer Doodler
My daughter LOVES this toy.She plays with it often, and enjoys it.If I could change one thing about the toy, I'd find an easier way to store the stamps.Overall it is a great toy!

Magna Doodle Is Better
My daughter received this as a gift on the same birthday she received the Fisher Price Magna Doodle.She also has the Fisher Price Little People version. The regular Magna Doodle is so much better.It draws better, erases easily (one swipe instead of 4 or 5) and the pen is easier to use.The string that is attached to the pen on the other two is too short and placed in the wrong location to be useful.My only complaint with the Magna Doodle versus the other two brands is that the magnet "stamps" that come with the Magna Doodle are small and can be a chocking hazard for really small children.I removed the stamps from the toy until my daughter was two.

Wonderful Toy!
My daughter got this at Christmas so about 6 months ago.She LOVES this toy.She makes maps with it, draws on it and so forth.We take it in the car and she has a grand time.My daughter was 2.5 when we got it.It's put up with a fair amount of abuse and still keeps going.She is always drawing, and telling me about what she draws.Her drawings are actually getting better, her imagination has run wild, and her verbal skills from telling me about her drawings has improved.My only complaint is that it came with a few little shape stamps that got lost almost immediately.beyond that it is wonderful! ...
