5-0 out of 5 stars Melody pleasing to the ear
The toddle tunes push along is a much needed improvement from the corn popper which can give a person a headache with too much popping. The toddle tunes has two options for music. One option allows an entire melody to be played even if moved just an inch. The second option plays different notes as long as it is moving. The wheeling device is well designed with a rubberized grip around each wheel.Another nice feature of the push along is its ability to stand up straight--even in the middle of the room. Our 12 month old has been walking for 2 months but has not mastered the coordination for the toddle tunes push along. He does grip the handle and push it back and forth like a vacuum cleaner and gets a few notes. We expect that this will be a big hit with our walking boy in a few months. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great new guitar design!
What a nice improvement over the first Wiggles guitar! But, I have to agree with the other reviewer in that this guitar doesn't really stand up too well by itself. That was noted in a test run and should have been corrected. However, when my little one saw this in the store, he wanted it desperately, even though we also have the first Wiggles guitar. This one really is cute - it plays all the songs just by standing it up, and it really does just fine when you put it up against the wall. But, my little one has already figured out other ways to play with it - upside down, you name it. It's really cute watching the handle move around on this thing and it's just a very cute toy. A lot more realistic than the first guitar too, I might add. The sound chips are a little off tone wise, but that doesn't detract at all from this toy. And, buy it here for goodness sakes. Walmart is $5 higher! That's where we saw this first and my little one carried it throughout the whole store. He seldom asks for a toy so when he does, I know he really wants it. This is a keeper, no doubt there, and it went to bed with him tonight. There's a true test for any toy. Turn on the Wiggles Live CD with this in the house and it really makes for a very fun time for the whole family. Highly recommend!

4-0 out of 5 stars Great toy,but.....
My son recieved this gift for Christmas because it was the first toy we had ever seen him get excited about from an ad on tv. We haven't had too many problems with it falling over and the sound is great. The only problem I have with it is that there aren't enough volume control options. It seems the only options are loud and louder. Other then that it's a great toy and my son loves to "play along" with the Wiggles on tv :)

3-0 out of 5 stars Poor Quality Guitar
This toy is a piece of junk. The other reviewer's remark about the sounds is right on target. They are muffled and hard to hear, and do not sound authentic. When the guitar is wiggling, the mechanism is so loud you can barely hear anything else. The toy is rather flimsy and will not stay upright when it is wiggling. My son LOVES the Wiggles. However, he really was not interested in this crummy toy after a week or so.Buyer beware! ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Wiggles Obsessed Toddler
My son is just 3 and loves the Wiggles, their music and to dance. This toy lets him have it all and what I really like is that it is easy to fold up and take with you. We had his friends over and they all sang and danced around our deck with the mat. I think it is a fun toy that is not too costly and seems fairly durable. However, if you are looking for educational value, this toy has none.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun & Dancing for your kids!
I know that pepole have said that it is frusterating that the songs change as the kids move on the mat but that' s part of the fun of it. Most of the reviewers had children under the age of 2. If you read the box (and on Amazon near the picture), the age range of this toy is 2 & up and Amazon even says 4-7. You need to stay within your child's abilities and not buy them toys that are too advanced for their ages.
I have 2 kids, DD 5 and DS 2. We got this when DS turned 2 and it's been great. It teaches him who the characters are, colors, etc. I can tell him to step on a certain character and he does. He can turn it on and off by himself and really enjoys it. My daughter does too even though she is beginning to et out of The Wiggles.
All in all, it's a fun toy to jump around and get some energy out on!

2-0 out of 5 stars Very Frustrating For A Little One
My 16 month old daughter received this mat as a gift. I have to agree with several of the previous reviewers about this toy. She can't dance ON the mat, she has to be taken OFF of the mat because as she moves about, a new song starts. It is very frustrating for her, and for us to watch her trying so hard to play with the mat. It should have been made differently. I too had to put clear tape over the speaker....MUCH too loud for a little ones ears. Not to mention annoying for parents as the same song starts over, and over, and over.....My advice is buy another Wiggles themed toy for your Wiggles fan! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great toys
We really like these toys and we like to take them with us when we travel. My daughter also has the Drum/ Music Set by Parents Magazine which she actually likes better. But these are great to use and encourage musical skills with your children. They are easy to listen to and are very durable.

5-0 out of 5 stars great toy!
My eight-month-old daughter really loves these instruments! We bought them when she was about four months old, but when she picked them up she'd often clunk her head with them when she tried to wave them around.I brought them back out when she was six months old and had a lot more arm control. Now she really goes wild with them, especially the bells!

5-0 out of 5 stars brings lots of smiles
My daughter plays with this toy at Grandma's house. Theses "instruments" are usually the first toys she pulls out to play with. The bright colors and different noises definitely interest her. She loves to shake them and make noise. They are great little toys to throw in the diaper bag when you're on the go! ... Read more

Editorial Review

Here's a learning toy that offers kids a wonderful, interactive introduction tothe world of letters, sounds, and colors. Alphabet Pal features several ways to play--pullthe string and, antennae flashing, the jolly green caterpillar rolls happily along singing thealphabet song. When one of the caterpillar's 26 multicolored alphabet legs is pressed, kids hear the name of that color, letter, or letter sound depending on which mode theychoose. Best of all, Alphabet Pal is a parent's friend, too--it's not too loud and turns off byitself when idle. It comes with three demonstration batteries, which should be replacedwith regular AA batteries. Made of durable plastic, the toy is 7 by 11.5 inches long.--Marianne Painter ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Unfortunately, not up to Leapfrog's usual standards
With that said, try something else. The idea is good, but they made it so annoying to both child and parent, that it just isn't worth it. Aghhh. Leapfrog's first stinkaroo, I'm afraid! It just about drove me nuts hearing that voice singing all the time. It really isn't too much fun for my son since the cord is WAY too short to pull. It just kept slipping out of his hand and he couldn't stand to pull it - he had to stoop over or it would do a "wheelie." Nope, there's too many other great pulltoys out there that has this one beat. It's way too flimsy and doesn't stay on the floor at all, but falls over easily. Leapfrog makes great toys but this one needs some revisions. It's just such an annoying toy for parents and no that much fun for kids since it won't stay on the floor correctly. The sensitivity needs reviewed as well. Golly, the cat can walk past it and it starts singing. Not too fun at 3:00 a.m.!

In addition, I just saw the revised version of this catepillar. It is now a plus toy with the same features, but it is not a pulltoy.Looks tons better!

5-0 out of 5 stars ABC...
My daughter got this at her 1st birthday and now she is 20months and pulls it around singing her alphabets..its to cute!! If you pull the sing it automaticly starts singing the ABC:S - it also helps teach colors, what the actual letters look like and is just very intertaining to the kids as well as parents.

5-0 out of 5 stars Daughter loves it!
We got this for my daughter when she was 9 months old and she absolutely loves it.She quickly figured out how to use it, and claps along with the music every time. The volume level control is a great feature, and it auto turn off saves batteries.Worth every cent! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars My 21 month old loves it!
We got this as a gift from a friend with a daughter the same age as ours. I didn't think she would like it but she absolutely LOVE IT! It is the only toy that she plays with everyday. She got it at 18 months and still plays with it daily! She needs help but is getting better and will soon be able to play with it on her own.

1-0 out of 5 stars Too difficult for a 2 year to use and it has a funny smell
I was really disappointed with this toy.It looked so cute in the package. It is too hard for a two year old to use.I even have some difficulty plugging the pieces into the holes.

It also has an odd smell - almost unbearable.I'm wondering if anybody has had the same experience.

3-0 out of 5 stars I'd recommend it!
I bough this for my son for Christmas. He is 22 Months old and if a hugh Elamo fan.He really loves the toy. However, I have to agree with the other review that this toy needs constant supervision. It is tricky for little hands and fingers to actually put the parts in the little holes. So we save this toy toplay with when Mom or Dad can play too! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great sounds! We love it!
Okay, my Music block doesn't use a screwdriver except for the batteries. No idea what the complaints are about. There is a door to open to place in the cartridge. Maybe there are different versions. Mine you just open a door & place it in.

The songs on this cartridge are awesome..we love the cartoon sound effects! It's like overhearing a Looney toons cartoon! Its very entertaining & sounds great on ours. Our daughter loves it & our neighbors older kids have just as much fun at 1 and 3. Glad I found it on sale though!

The description clearly states that it is used with other Neurosmith products, not sure with the other reviewer thought it did...

1-0 out of 5 stars should provide more info on product
So you buy Music Blocks thinking this is all you need? Wrong, they plug into something else, not even shown on the same page, now try to find the block they plug into!
Products that require something else to work should be referred to that item, so the complete package is available!

5-0 out of 5 stars It says it's a CARTRIDGE!
Cartridge means it goes into something. Plus it says right on the website and front of package.
DVDs don't state that you need a DVD player but you know it does.
You really shouldn't purchase things for CHILDREN, when you are clueless to what the item is. That is very dangerous and irrisponsible. Adults, & especially Parents like that, scare me.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the best cartridges!
I think this cartridge is the most educational. It teaches numbers and counting in several different ways. There is counting from 1-5, 1-10 and more, counting by 5, counting objects, pictures which illustrate the number of objects and numbers displayed next to each object. It's kind of hard to explain without sounding confusing, but get this cartridge. You won't be disappointed. There are even crayons to count and as a bonus it teaches the colors of the crayons.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Learning Tool
I bought the Fisher Price learn through music but, I dont have this particular cartridge.I just wanted to write a review to clear up that this is not a bad product in fact its a great one, Im sure all the cartridges are great, I have the Dora Explorer one,as well as the Sesame Street one they are both very educational and fun for my 27month old. He has had it since he was a year old. He still loves it. If your unsure of what you are buying call and ask someone. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars It's Dora the Explorer with your child as the guest star!
This cartridge teaches different musical instruments and their sounds. It is set up like the Dora the Explorer show except the child gets to control when things happen. Dora and Boots are trying to get to the music festival. You press the arrow and The Map sings his song and tells them how to get there. You hear a different song for each step along the way. Then when you move to that screen it plays the song and there are other activities to do. You can touch the screen to play music, to hear Dora and Boots sing, and to learn opposites in english and spanish and the names of instruments in both languages. The only thing my daughter likes more is the actual show.

4-0 out of 5 stars Works in conjunction with the Learn Through Music System
I didn't know that this is only a cartridge when I registered for it, and neither did my sister when she bought it for my one-year-old. We ripped open the box only to find that we had to buy the $35 system to enjoy it. Well, I was certainly not happy, but my daughter didn't even notice. She carried it around and pointed out the characters as if it was a regular toy. Seven months later, I found it for a bargain price on an auction website and now she finally gets to see what it was meant to do. It lights up, plays music, and is interactive throughout the dozen-or-so screens. My 17-month-old has fallen in love with the cartridge all over again now that she can hear and see the cool things it does in the system. I recommend this only if you can get the system for cheaper, if not don't bother with buying this cartridge at all. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Very good toy
We got this when my daughter was 2. she is 3 now, and while I did not think it was as educational as the Dora and Blue's Clue's cartridges she has, for the Learn Through Music......it is still good and she loves Barney. It kept her busy.

1-0 out of 5 stars I was misled
When I ordered this toy, there was nothing to indicate that I need another part for this to be used. I only found out when I got it and now I cannot find the other part. It is totally useless unless you have both components.

5-0 out of 5 stars amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0000C4E3M/qid
THis is the URL for the main toy.

The Learn Through Music series are wonderful educational toys. The base Unit comes with "Elmo's Scavenger Hunt", and this cartridge and all 4 additional cartridges (with additional cartridges being released every so often) provide excellent stimulus for your little toddler (ours began using hers at 15 months), as well as effective alphabet, numeric, letter-matching (to words), and sing-song fun for your special little girl or boy.

Of all the toys my daughter has, this is her second favorite (it's hard to beat a stuffed animal "woobie"), and to me that says a lot.

I believe your child will both enjoy these toys, and learn from them too, and it's hard to ask for more!

5-0 out of 5 stars Cry Stopper!
My daughter is almost 4 months and just now is starting to get over cholic. This toy did and still does wonders for her.She doesn't quite understand what it is yet, but it makes noise and it seems to soothe her especially when she is going through a crying fit.The loud noise that the roller makes is usually what gets her to stop crying. It is a little hard to move, I don't anticipate her ever being able to move it.But the buttons with the different sounds are nice...she is already starting to mimic the words.

3-0 out of 5 stars Disappointed parent, but son likes it
As a parent I was disappointed in this product. The bow and the roller are very hard to use, my son can't do much with them.He does enjoy pressing the buttons, but that's about all there is to this product. You press a button and it plays a short little tune and says "Cello", "Harp" or "Violin" depending which you press.I'm not sure there's a whole lot of educational value in that.I also find the volume a bit too loud.My 13 month old does like it though, and it's easy for him to hold.

2-0 out of 5 stars BIGDISAPPOINTMENT!
I bought this toy based on the reviews on this site, which were largely glowing.I was very disappointed in the product.Like so many toys for toddlers, it's almost impossible for a toddler to actually use.My 14 month old daughter can push the music buttons, but the "bow" is almost too hard for *me* to move across the "strings" and it's *way* too hard for her little hands. The roller at the bottom is also much too hard to move, which makes these features a complete waste. With so many musical products to choose from I would strongly recommend that parents skip this one and spend their money on something else. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Baby Loves Bethany! (So do I!)
When our baby was 2 1/2 months old, I showed this to her in the store. Her face lit up and she kicked delightedly!I had gone with the intention of buying a Molly Moo or Lotty Ladybird (based on good reviews), but at the store, Bethany Butterfly won my baby's heart hands down over the others. Also, as another reviewer mentioned, the music is absolutely beautiful, by far the best-sounding I've heard in an infant toy. (The one with "off-key notes" must have been defective--ours is perfect!)
My daughter is now 6 months old and still loves her Bethany Butterfly.Well worth the money!Wonderful infant toy!

5 Stars... IF you get a Good One!

I just reviewed this yesterday, saying how wonderful it is (ours is!), but today when I was at BabiesRUs, I saw some with blue fabric on the arms and legs and pull-string. (Ours has black fabric on the arms and legs, and the pull-string is red.) I pulled the string on the one in the store, and to my surprise...and dismay!...it sounded HORRIBLE! Just as another reviewer had complained about, it had MANY off-key notes and didn't sound good at all. I couldn't believe it! Night and day with the one we bought from the very same store a few months ago! I still give this toy 5 stars, because ours is so nice, but I've heard the "bad one" with my own ears and it IS bad. So my recommendation is to go to the store and test it before you buy it to make sure you're getting a good one. I would not risk buying it online.

2-0 out of 5 stars Cute toy, poor quality music
I ordered this toy for my 3 month old granddaughter, and was quite pleased with it when it arrived until I pulled the string to play the music - Somewhere Over the Rainbow with MANY off key notes!! Am sad to return it, but we certainly won't be able to listen to that tune more than once!

5-0 out of 5 stars wonderful musical toy!
We got this musical soft toy for our son when he was 3 weeks old and he loved it.Somewhere Over the Rainbow is played gently and for just the right length of time. The musical quality was the best we've heard, not tinny and annoying, not too loud, not too fast... It was very comforting for him - made car rides much better. He is 11 months old now and still loves to hug the butterfly and hear her music.Highly recommend. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Funny Toddler's Delight
My daughter had been fascinated with this toy since she was 11 months old, so I would say this is very good toy for toddler's beginning with 12 months not 24.As a matter of fact Boohbah became one of her first words. Now 2 months later, she is still fascinated with it and this is one of the few toys she runs to first thing in the morning, even from the other room where she can't see it (the reason we know she runs to this one because she can say it!

The Boohbah itself didn't impress me that much when I first saw it at local KBToys, the only reason I bought it, I found it much cheaper on ebay, and my baby was already enjoying watching "boohbahs" on tv, so I gave it a try.So far, I am happy I did.
I agree there is little educational value in it, except learning to move as shown, but toys are for babies' fascination not just for education and also to be played with, and this toy fullfills it's purpose. Our little one can play with it up to 15-20 minutes at a time, several times a day.I think it is enough to make it worth trying.
Also it is very durable, it was kicked, thrown and hit numerous times, and I was afraid that moving mechanims would break; they still work fine.Boohbah dances - my baby claps her hands and shakes her torso and head.
There is no explanation, but some adults in our family like this too :-)

It's just plain entertaining fun!!!

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money!
I wish I had read the reviews BEFORE purchasing this piece of junk! When my husband and I saw it in the store, it looked so cute, and we loved the demo.Well, once we bought it and got it home and out of the box, the real play was just as short as the demo! You literally have to keep squeezing his foot every 10 seconds to keep him going.I don't know about your kid, but mine refuses to do this. She'd rather just ignore the Boohbah and play with something more entertaining.Plus, even when you do press the button every 10 seconds, he basically does the same thing over and over. Not much variety at all!Buyer beware - RIP OFF!

3-0 out of 5 stars Booooooo-bah!
My daughter loves the show and I got them on sale for $10 otherwise would not have bought them, they are super cute and well made but the dancing and music is too short, there is a try me button on the hand but the real button is on the feet that plays longer and different songs and dances but she got so used to the try me button that that is all she uses. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Not a Great Toy
My son, now 9 months, received this toy for Christmas. It has proven to be a disappointment. Some of the pads/buttons do not work and the toy is not stable. The tower is easily knocked over and, when knocked over, comes apart into 5 different pieces. Don't waste your money on this toy.

1-0 out of 5 stars Piece of junk
This is a flimsy, plastic piece of junk that is most certainly not worth $35.The tower comes apart too easily.Don't waste your money.

2-0 out of 5 stars Disappointing - doesn't compare to older models
We have 2 Ball Party sets from 4 yrs ago and my 5-yr-old still likes to play with them.We got Symphony for our 1-yr-old thinking it would expand our set of interchangeable, build-it-your-way Ball Party parts.Big disappointment! They have made the balls and tunnels larger, so the new set doesn't fit with the old.You can only build the Symphony tower one way, so it is no longer a construction toy.My 1-yr-old does like to drop the balls and watch them go down, but why pay $35 for a toy that only does that??And it has an annoying feature that the sound keeps coming back on after the child has crawled away, forcing the grown-ups to hop up and turn it off.Look around for the non-battery-powered older sets, or get a pound-the-ball toy instead for less than half the price. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Disappointed
After receiving the toy, I was very disappointed.Nothing like what I had in mind.Previous products from Baby Einstein have been fabulous, just not this one.More than likely going to the yard sale bin.

1-0 out of 5 stars Not a winner
I was excited after reading the description about the classical composer musical trumpet.I thought it would be a fun interactive toy. I ordered two, one for my daughter and one as a gift. When they arrived I was immediately disappointed, and it held my daughters attention for only a few minutes. While it is cute, I don't feel the toy holds any educational value and it would become another toy at the bottom of the toy box.I returned both of the trumpets I bought. ...
