My daughter received this as a gift for her 1st birthday. She did enjoy the music as most do at her age however as stated in an earlier review the toy is not suitable for young children. My daughter could not operate it on her own at all and even I had trouble with it several times.Unfortunatley I eventually just threw it away instead of passing it on to a friend or good will as I do with most other toys. Not recommended.

1-0 out of 5 stars Injury Potential
I bought this for my 15 mos. old for Christmas. You have to wind up the music by a knob on the bottom. The white button you push to make the bear pop up is not easy for tiny hands or fingers. The lid requires strong hands to push it closed. Two days ago, while the music was playing and the bear was spinning around, she tried to push the bear down, without using the lid. I heard her cry out and saw she had pushed with her index finger at the base of the bear and her finger had become stuck between the round base and the area where the bear slides down into. Since the lid was open, the mechanics of the toy was forcing the bear to stay up and try to spin, and since her finger was caught, she could not and did not know to push the bear down again to remove her finger. Her fingertip was pretty red for a couple of hours, even though it was only caught for a second. This toy should be removed from the market since the potential for such a painful and possible serious injury exists. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars 9.98 for a reason
You get what you pay for in this case.My daughter was given this as a gift a year ago and it has been a dust collector ever since. She hates this ELMO because is falls over.He should be called clumsy ELMO.My daughter has the Hokey Pokey ELMO too and that is a 10+.

5-0 out of 5 stars Lil Jay's mommy and her thoughts!
Well my son has SO MANY elmo toys that dance and sing and I must say this one is GREAT! Ours has never fallen over unless my son pushed him and the song and dance are TOO CUTE!! It makes everyone wanna get up and dance my 1 year old gets a kick out of it and even shakes his arms like elmo! The limbo stick is quite irritating though I would think they would have attached it to elmo! Its basically pointless my son chews on it but thats about it! Overall this toy is GREAT just minus the limbo stick!

3-0 out of 5 stars Fun to play with........once!
Cute, but my child can't do much with it. She followed it around while Elmo sang and did the limbo a couple of times, after that, it was put in the closet. Cute but not for long. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Sawzilla!!
A friend back in Maryland introduced me to Little Tikes tools in '83, and I've wanted one of their circular saws for years. I've owned Mattell (lucky sale price), but this is the saw I always wanted. Finally settled in here and my wife made this a late Christmas present. I was just floored when it showed up. Best present I've ever received =)

I read the manual fully and unpacked the saw slowly. No damage in shipping to the saw carton or pallet. The box had been dropped (it's heavy) and the moulded packing foam was broken, but the casing and blade were pristine. Gentle wipe down to remove the cosmoline and an initial inspection revealed no damaged or missing parts. Followed the assembly procedure in the manual - a breeze.

After setting up the saw, installing a Freud 40 tooth and running a 240v drop for it, we fired this mean green machine up - she purred to life - no whines, grinds, chatters or bangs. We got bold and balanced a penny and a nickel on edge and fired her back up - they barely twitched. I ran her through some wood I had on hand - a little MDF, a little Doug Fir, A scrap of Wallynut, chunk of Oak - zip zip zip cut cut cut zing zing zing - only there was no Ziiiiinnnnggggg! It was Q-U-I-E-T - it just hummed! I could speak in normal tones and I could hear my wife (who is very soft spoken) over the saw! Aaaaa-Maaaaa-Zing! I was used to the noisy whine of the Mattell I'd owned. So was my wife - this was a truly pleasant surprise. My neighbors won't mind this saw =) To be fair - I will blame the saw AND the blade (Nice blade at about a dollar a tooth).

The Little Tikes cuts through everything easily. The motor is three horses and meets my needs. There were no tweaks required. It is satisfyingly solid. The blade & mitre stay set (again the stops were dead on), the action is smooth. It's not a fancy Mitre, mind you - but it is Functional - and that counts.

Little Tikes will not disappoint you - I know this ain't no big fancy-schmancy sliding doo-dad cabinet table-saw beastie costing thousands - but it gets the job done very nicely, very quietly.Any tool one's spouse is PLEASED to have purchased has a lot going for it.

Did I mention I love this saw?

3-0 out of 5 stars Cute, but noisey.
This is a nice toy except the sound it makes can drive you crazy after about 5 minutes. Thank goodness it has a on/off switch or I'd have to hide it from my 10 month old. The "blade" part spins nicely, there's a lever that cranks back and forth, and lights flash with silly sounds when it's turned on. There are numbers on it, but I don't see that helping my son learn anything. It seems pretty durable enough, considering my son has dropped from his highchair a few times. My son has no idea what a saw is, so he just chews on it at this point. Sometimes he'll roll it across the floor. Maybe when he's older, he'll have more fun with it. So, to sum it up, it's an cute toy if you can handle the crazy noises it makes.

2-0 out of 5 stars Grandparent's revenge
My son's grandparents gave him this horribly NOISY thing! It creates the same LONG annoying "chainsaw" noises continuously. It's highly motion sensitive and the worst thing is there is no volume control! His grandparents just laugh and say it's their revenge for all my noisy toys.Save your sanity - run away from this toy! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars FUN FUN TOY
This is a very entertaining toy! We've had it for several months and it's played with daily. There are different sounds, tunes and lights that keep my son interested. One button plays short Carribean-sounding melodies; it's very cute and not annoying like a lot of baby toys. Volume control is good.

5-0 out of 5 stars great entertainment
I heartily recommend this toy.My son (9 months old now) got this toy for Christmas when he was 6 months old.He has loved this drum.He plays with it almost every day and has learned cause and effect from it as well as just enjoying the banging.I like the fact that it has a lower volume button as most baby toys are too noisy. He has lots of toys (he is a third child) but really enjoys this one! ... Editorial Review

A soothing alternative to a wind-up nighttime musical toy, this softplush sleeping Pooh, accompanied by his best friend Piglet, can be placed in acorner of the crib and controlled by remote. Playing the music from a distancemeans no more sneaking in to rewind a toy and possibly disturb the baby. Pooh isdressed in a blue nightcap and snuggles on a small pillow, which is a plasticmusic unit covered with cotton. It has a soft flashing light inside and there isan on/off switch underneath. When pressed, Pooh's familiar voice sings alullaby. The blue plastic remote activates one of three choices--soft, tinklingclassical music, a Pooh song, or chirping birds and nature sounds. Parents willneed to decide if the hard plastic pillow unit is a safe choice for their child. The unit comes with three AA batteries, but three more are required for theremote. --Marianne Painter ... 4-0 out of 5 stars My 14 month old still enjoys it...
We bought this before our son was born and use it almost every day still, even at 14 months old.The remote doesn't work very well for us and sometimes it takes a while to manually turn the music off but overall, this is a great product. We even bring it with us when we travel as a family. We love it!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great toy and soother
We bought this for our daughter when she was 3 months old.She is 22 months, still loves Pooh, and it still helps her go to sleep.During this time, I have memorized "Pooh's Lullabee", which is featured in "The Tigger Movie".When I started singing this song to her the other night, she started looking for Pooh.Shortly after getting it I had to remove the music box because she was swinging Pooh around and I didn't want her to hurt herself, actually when I tried to put the box back in Pooh she cried. She loves to hold the music box and will not let it go any farther than the instrumental version of "Pooh's Lullabee".She pushes the button herself and when I hear the nature sounds I know she is asleep.I put this as educational because I let her play with the remote and she is starting to learn that Pooh causes him to sing, the bird is the nature sounds, and the music note is the other songs. She also has figured out that if she puts her hand over the speaker the volume decreases. She still cuddles up with Pooh and Piglet while listening to the music, and having the music box separate allows me to take it out of her crib without removing Pooh so she can't accidentally start him in her sleep. As far as the durability, I am very impressed and extremely pleased because she is not easy on toys.My biggest complaint would be my TV remote sets Pooh off only because when she hears him she has to have him.I am sad that Fisher-Price no longer manufactures this.

1-0 out of 5 stars No Longer Made
When i saw this item online i was very excited at the idea of being able to play the music from afar..The bad news is i just got off the phone with Fisher Price and as of 2002 this item is no longer being made. I only rated it so low because im not one of the lucky ones who own it. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Parents who responded to piano lessons by kicking the instrument mayappreciate this toy as much as a baby will. Two ties hang it from the side ofthe crib, five "keys" on the soft cover conceal five buttons, and colored shapesabove each "key" light up when they are hit or kicked. In one mode, the five"keys" play individually, like piano keys; in another, they play a medley of 10tunes; in a third, they sound out animal names, numbers, and other concepts thatare keyed to the pattern on the cover. The Kick 'n' Learn Piano includes anon/off switch, auto off, and high/low volume control. Requires three AAbatteries. --Richard Farr ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Good
I think that this is a great toy because it gives babies a chance to have fun, hear interesting sounds, and learn piano!!!:)

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent toy that grows w/ your child
I read a great review about this product in Parents so I had to check it out for myself. My daughter who was 4 months at the time I purchased this, absolutely loves this toy. It has 3 different levels of interaction: music, animal noises, and counting/alphabet. She will wake up in the middle of the night and start kicking away, and if it's turned off - she'll actually get mad that the music doesn't come on! I initially thought the price was a bit high for a "crib toy" but it's worth every penny!!

3-0 out of 5 stars Too Loud!
This toy is cute and it has held up well but the music is so LOUD and very annoying.90% of our baby's toys play music and I usually love the cute music from my son's toys but this is almost unbearable...listen to it before you buy it! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Another One!!!
This is our second Boohbah...another gift. I am glad we didn't pay the money for this one...but our daughter seems to like it. Myself I like the dancing one better...we didn't buy it either!!! As long as our daughter is pleased thats all that matters.
The sound effects could be better...not sure what the one sound is even suppose to be!!!
Very colorful!!!

1-0 out of 5 stars Poopbah
Loud farts, the movement is common with constipation with the dancing Poopbahs and poop sounds definetly new age alright totally describes them.

2-0 out of 5 stars Disappointed Toddler
I like Boohbah. My kids like Boohbah. The TV show is/was great because it got them off the couch and MOVING. So when we saw the Boohbah toys my kids were excited.

I recommended that a grandparent buy one of the dancing Boohbah's for my two year old, but they bought this one instead.Let me repeat, the "Silly Sounds Boohbah" does NOT dance.

All that this toy does is make a couple of sounds, including the "Boohbah" phrase when you squeeze it's tummy.

When my two year old opened the present, she started squealing "Boohbah, Boohbah!" and wanted to get it out of the package to play with it. I obliged, and showed her how it worked, and after she squeezed it's tummy 6-8 times and had heard all of the songs 2-3 times, she looked up at me and said "Dance?" I told her it didn't, and that was it. She was done.

She comes across it every once in a while and will squeeze it's tummy a few times, maybe carry it around the house for 15 minutes or so, but that's about it.

On the plus side, it does seem to be durable, and mimics the characters on the TV show well.

If your child loves Boohbah, I strongly recommend buying the dancing Boohbah INSTEAD of this product, as it will promote more interaction with your child. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic for kids and adults
We love this toy. This was actually bought for my son when he was 18 months and he still loves to play with it today and he is almost 24 months.

We have not had any problems with the contacts or blocks. My son is very hard on toys also so I'm actually amazed when I'm reading that other people are having problems with it.Maybe different batches?I don't know I just know that we have had no problems with it at all.

My son loves to change around the blocks to hear the songs played different ways and he loves to experiment with them.It is really a lot of fun. We have gotten tons of enjoyment out of this toy.

3-0 out of 5 stars Agreed - great idea on paper, terrible in production
We also thought the toy was great but very quickly noticed serious problems with the block contacts, the music quality when using cartridges (as opposed to the built-in music), and eventually, the red button that plays through the blocks. The thing has been sitting on my desk for a week because I finally decided it might be worth it to try and fix it -- our daughter isn't old enough to appreciate it but soon will be.Now that we've seen the thing work, we're attached to it and have the burden of trying to fix it ourselves. As if parents aren't busy enough -- if you don't buy it, you won't know what you're missing, if you buy it, you'll be stuck wanting to fix it if (maybe I should say when) when it breaks.:)

5-0 out of 5 stars One of their favorites...
This toy is a fight-starter, they both enjoy it so much! The tune is fun and the variations are great! My kids especially love the vocal version. "Ba-Doo! Ba-Doo!..." We all walk around the house singing it! The only problem I have with it is that occasionally it doesn't run through the whole song correctly when you push the red button. It skips a block or cuts it short. I'm not sure why, but it happens so rarely it's almost a non-issue. The kids don't really notice or care anyway. I would definitely recommend this toy. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great toy!
My son got this for Christmas when he was 4 months old and he loves the animal sounds and music, and he also sucks on the antenna and feet. My 2 year old niece also loves it, it teaches shapes and colors. My sister washed her ladybug successfully in the washing machine as well.

5-0 out of 5 stars FAVORITE TOY!!
My mother-in-law bought this for my 3 month old son and he adores it!It seems to keep his attention more than any other toy and he LOVES the lights and music...he sings (coos) along! The only drawback that I've found is that he loves to suck on the ladybug's antennas (a nipple similarity) and they reach the back of his throat - which scares me but they can't be swallowed or choked on. ...
