Editorial Review

This is a happy, noisy toy that should amuse most toddlers. Everything that can be touched reacts in some way, from a trombone-playing frog to a book that sings the alphabet. Our favorite is the colored keyboard that sings each color you press. The tabletop can be placed on the floor for those still in the crawling phase, or can sit on the included legs for a sturdy surface and leaning spot for little ones who are new to walking. If there is any fault with the Learning Table, it may be that it has too many features: each element of the table reacts in two different ways, depending on whether it's in Learn Mode or Music Mode. (Modes are switched by flipping the page of the book mounted in the center of the table.) Though this means more fun stuff for kids to hear, the mode concept is not one that they can be expected to understand, and the effect of the toy's inconsistent reactions is likely to be confusion. --David Stoesz ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great toy!
My daughter got this table for Christmas when she was 6 months old. She wasn't standing yet so we took the legs off and put it on the floor for her to play with. She's been playing with it everyday since. She's now 11 months and still loves it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best table toy ever!!!
We bought our daughter this toy about 3 months ago and she still just loves it.She is 9 months old and it is one of her favorite toys. There are many different things to do.If your baby loves music like mine this is the toy for you.It has also been great to help her learn to pull up on.It's a great toy!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Well-made product
A sturdy and well-made puzzle. My twin girls are a little late in developing fine motor skills, so this was a great choice for them. It's a BIG puzzle and the individual pieces are large enough that they're hard to lose. They're well-finished enough that it seems safe to let the little ones chew on them. The variety of shapes and images underneath are nice.

4-0 out of 5 stars Super Developmental Activity for Little Ones!
I purchased the Jumbo Knob Puzzle: Shapes for my son's 1st birthday. It was too difficult at first, but he quickly grew into it.We'd work it together, and I'm still amazed how much he'd retain the next time we would attempt to put it together.I like that we could work on shapes, colors, matching, and developmental skills in the same toy.Additionally, the jumbo knobs are easy to work, and the pieces don't have to go in with the label upright. This is especially helpful when placing the octagon, and the pentagon pieces.William was fond of this puzzle, and it's held up extremely well.He finally allowed me to put it in the closet with the rest of his baby toys, and he's almost 4-years old.

There are pictures underneath, but not the pictures of the shape. This toy requires a bit more thinking than the typical "pictures under the pieces" puzzle. The pictures are animated objects that reflect everyday life, such as, a clock, a house, and a school bus.The pieces are very chunky for little hands, and have large jumbo knobs. My only gripe is with some of the picture selections. The diamond picture is a close-up of a diamond window. My son didn't know what it was, and when I asked him today he said, "I guess it's a diamond, mom."Perhaps, a better choice would be a kite.At any rate, the puzzle makes an excellent activity for young children. I definitely recommend it.

2-0 out of 5 stars too expensive
this puzzle costs entirely too much for what it offers. you can get the same quality puzzle for $15.00 less at a local store. It held my 2 year old's attention for about 5 minutes and that was it. B-O-R-I-N-G. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars My 10 month old's favorite!
This is my son's favorite toy.He started showing interest in it at about 7 months and now he could play with this toy all day and never gets tired of it!He loves to put the blocks in the slots in the wheel and turn the wheel.I don't know what we would do without it!!

2-0 out of 5 stars Looks better than it really is
This toy is not worth the money. The peek-a-blocks are okay, but my son prefers his wooden blocks for stacking and building. The rotating feature on this wagon is a real problem for little fingers.I can't count the number of times my son has pinched his fingers while spinning the wheel.

5-0 out of 5 stars Lots to do with this one
My daughter was only 6 months old when I got this for her. She immediately became fascinated by the door, opening and shutting it repeatedly. Now that she is 8 months old, she is really into spinning the rolling drum and pulling blocks out of the storage bin. I am certain that she will enjoy all parts of this toy for a long time, especially when she learns to use it as a pull toy. The music is very cute, not annoying. My only suggestion is for Fisher-Price to separately sell the special blocks that are included with this wagon if some of the original blocks get lost. ... Read more

Hours of sensory stimulation await the infant who encounters this award-winning play systemfrom Tiny Love. Packed in a large see-through bag (complete with a sturdy plastic handle), the set featuresfour padded, 2-foot-long fabric panels. Each exceptionally well-sewn panel contains its own set ofexploratory activities and fun toys to squeeze, hug, or roll: a squishable water mat filled with plastic fish, achild-safe mirror inside a sun's crinkly rays, and Velcro-backed pieces to manipulate. Link the panels invarious ways by using the secure Velcro straps on each end, or attach a single panel to your baby's crib orplaypen. 1-0 out of 5 stars Poor Quality and not worth the money!
I bought this item for my newborn - thinking it would grow with him and be useful for at least the 1st year.I was SO wrong.First, as I feared, the water "fishbowl" leaked the 1st time I filled it.I returned it and the next one leaked as well. Then, the mirror is one of those "plastic" mirrors that gives a distorted reflection - which was of no value or interest to my son. The cow that makes noise died after less than a month of light to no use. Finally, the toy just didn't have that "fun" value that a $43 toy should have.He hated it - never attempted to crawl down it, never played with the features. Save your money - this toy is of poor quality and poor entertainment value. There are tons of better products out there...

3-0 out of 5 stars Good toy, but not $40 good
I bid on this toy on Ebay ($13), it definitely isn't worth $40.My daughter enjoys it, and she will roll from one end to the other playing with the different parts. She eats the velcro pieces, and plays with the water filled part.Mine has not leaked yet.The animals quit making sounds very quickly.Only one of mine still works. She gets her foot caught under it a lot too, it is too light. She can lift the pieces up.I would not recommend buying this new, but if you can get it cheaper it's pretty good. The Tiny Love Gymini is worth every penny, and lasts a long time!

3-0 out of 5 stars Disspointing
I wanted this toy because it just looked like it was wonderful. It is brightly colored and uses mainly primary colors. One section has a water pocket that plastic fish float in. This is supposed to encourage eye and hand coordination. It had shapes that velcroe to the green background. It has animals that make sounds and fit into circles sort of like a puzzle. There is a mirror also. Everything on it is well thought out in terms of developmental skills a baby needs.

Why is it disspointing? My children, all three of them, never really played with it.

My water didn't leak like many reviewers say theirs did. Everything seemed well put together. It is made for sturdy play. However, it did not get played with at all.

My mirror did get easily scratched and didn't ever work well as a mirror.

I can't explain why my children didn't play with it. Maybe there is too much thought put into this toy and it just isn't fun? Maybe there is too much going on with it?

It is a lot of money to pay for one toy and I wouldn't buy it again. Particularly a toy such as this that really has limited use as babies are only on their tummy for such a short time. Once they are crawling they lose most interest in toys such as this.

4-0 out of 5 stars mom_of 16month_old
I purchesed this toy from an educational store looking for something to travel with and something without batteries. We bought it 2 months ago when my son was 14 months old and he liked it right away. It only took him several hours to figure out how to stack them. He plays with them every day and his color preferences are showing up while he plays with the pegs (he picks out all the orange ones first). He works both hands on his own when trying to stack the pegs. I think it has helped him in learning how to hold crayons. The only dislikes I have with this toy is the foam mat and the thin plastic wall in the center of the pegs. My son is still at that age were he bites everything and sometimes I think that if he worked at it enough he could chew a corner of the mat. We had one of the center hole walls break the other day and found the piece on the floor. So I would inspect them every so often. Also, try to teach your kids to hold the pegs down low as to not poke themselves in the eye when trying to stack the pegs with out the mat. It happened to our son--nothing severe just alot of crying. Overall it's a great toy and worth the money. I would definately purchase it as a gift for other children as well. Our son gets very excited when I ask him if he wants to play with his pegs. :)

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun but a little flimsy
My 21-month-old loves stacking things and sticking things into other things. So this toy was perfect for him, except that the base should be made of something a little more sturdy. It's rather flimsy rubberized material. He can't play with it in his crib or on my bed. He has to place it on a table or something else with a hard surface. Other than that, he seems to really like it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great toy for the kids
I bought this because my son used to play this in OT sessions. He loved it and it really helps him to concentrate, use both hands (motor skills).

Variety is the spice of life, especially for toddlers. The Flip 'n Play table answers the call. It comes with a two-sided insert and stands 13 inches off the ground. The table's strong point is its vast array of features: a miniature rotary phone, a small flipbook of circus animals, three each insert number and letter shapes, a jingling flip handle, a clock with spinning hands, and a mobile of colorful, spinning "balls within balls." But that's not all. A lever easily activates a circular train track with attachable train. A button next to the lever sets off an authentic train sound. Flip the entire insert over and you have a building table for blocks of squares, circles, rectangles, pyramids, and cat and dog heads (all included). Your child can build a multiplicity of configurations. For even more fun, add to this play center from a wide range of available accessories. --Sandy Hirsch ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Terrific Table
It's got bells--and whistles! Plays train sounds and the clack clack bell sound of a train crossing. You wind up the track for the train manually, put the train on it and away you go. I LOVE the fact that this toy is not a battery-eater like most of his others, and that it does double duty as a block-building table, too! Alex at 17 months still plays with this; we got it for him at 9 1/2 months. He loves to take the top off and sit in it, or sit on the floor on his knees in front of it and use the inside area for a little table to eat a snack off of. He has his own table and chairs, but sometimes he prefers to use this. THERE ARE NO SONGS THAT PLAY, AND NONE WERE ADVERTISED, despite a previous reviewers comments. There are two versions of this table available--this one, and the so-called new, improved, electronic, musical version, which I think pales in comparison to this original. Who needs one more musical toy that does everything but allow the kid to use their imagination and play? Not me! And if you want a good old-fashioned toy, that your kid will love for a long time and that will stand up to that type of use, get this. You'll be glad you did. I only wish I could find more of the plastic blocks that come with this by themselves, rather than in playsets that are sold separately.

2-0 out of 5 stars too late for my 1 year old!
I think I missed the boat on this one; I bought it for xmas for my 13 month old and the only real play it gets is when my daughter and her 3 year old brother take off the "play top" and sit inside it!They think thats fun but thats about it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome Toy
We bought this table based on other parent reviews, and though we couldn't find it locally the shipping cost was well worth it.
Our 11 month old twins love this toy, and when they get done playing with the activity center they pull it all apart and play even longer. The best part is it seems virtually indestructible, and only one small part uses a battery, the train track just winds up. We're very happy with this purchase. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Cute
My kids have fun with it, yes it it hard for younger ones to do the sorting part. That is the best part, it grows with them, my daughter just throws them or put the tops on after my son sorts them, but he still doesn't even match the face....thats next!!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great toy!
I bought this eggs for my daughter when she was 7 months old. It was on sale so I did not even take note of the age range.Personally I thought the toy was cute although my husband did not think so.Of course, my daughter could not do the sorting yet.She love to suck the eggs, bang them or throw them from the box. It is very durable. It's her favorite toy and she has lots of fun with it.

3-0 out of 5 stars cute but not that exciting
my 2 year old likes the eggs themselves and likes to carry them around and finds them appealing but its hard for him to see the shapes on the bottom and fit them in because the shape is teeny tiny.I think it would be a cute seasonal item, the pieces are easy to lose though. They dont stay in the tray very well. ... This colorful car collection develops motor skills and hand-eye coordination while your child makes important discoveries about sorting and strategy. There are four vehicles, numbered 1 through 4, of graduatedsizes: a rattling green sports car, a blue police car with a revolving roof light, a yellow school bus with an opening sunroof, and a red fire truck with an adjustable clicking ladder. The vehicles can be rolledacross the floor, and then stacked--ever so carefully--atop each other, and finally all nested inside the fire truck. Vehicles only nest or stack completely when arranged in proper order of size and number. Made of sturdy plastic, these toys can be dipped in warm sudsy water for easy cleaning. --Kathryn Gustafson ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Trucks!
We bought these trucks for our 15 mo. old daughter and 4 mo. old son- We love them! They are nesting which is fun for our daughter to look underneath the trucks to find the next one or they can stack one on top of the other to make a tower.Perfect first trucks! And they aren't too big- a perfect size!

4-0 out of 5 stars MOMMY loves this toy.
I saw these on sale at a discount store and couldn't pass up the price. I bought them for my 8 month old daughter. She plays with them frequently. I like them because we can play peek-a-boo by putting items underneath them. Because they are built open underneath, she can grab them easy. She likes the activities on each little car. They also pack very easily for taking some toys out of the house because they nest. I know that she is going to really play with these for years. When we take them places, other kids are very attracted to them. One little boy, age 2, played with them for 30 minutes in the church nursery, stacking them and rolling them. Another boy was 5 years old and he was really into stacking them and identifying the numbers on them. My only concern is that the wheels are held on by a plastic pins and I'm hoping that they don't break. However, you can usually count on FP to make toys that last. My husband is happy because he didn't want me to get one more thing that takes batteries and makes noise!

5-0 out of 5 stars Maybe the perfect toy
This toy is terrific. It stacks, rolls, and the cars fit inside each other neatly. The three largest cars have a simple moving part on top; the smalles car rattles. No noises, no batteries.Just simple activities a young child can do his or herself. It's marvelously elegant. ... Read more

Durability *** The blocks have lasted about a year; are starting to chip and splinter. The wagon is still great

5-0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT A MUST HAVE FOR APARTMENT AND CONDO OWNERS
I Have been looking at block sets for a while I live in a 2 bedroom condo and do not have a lot of space My nearly 3 year olddaughter loves to stack things I knew I was getting her a set of blocks..I looked at every one and figured the more blocks that it holds the more I have to pick up.
This is an excellent choice! Not only is this handy but my daughter builds directly in the wagon so I dont have to worry about tripping on a hidden block! This is an excellent choice!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great block set!
Grandma and Grandpa got this for my son (13 months) and he and my daughter (3.5 yr) love it! I wasn't sure if there were enough blocks to build much with, I had looked at 50-75 piece sets in the store, but it seems to be plenty. My daughter has had a great time with them. My son has had a great time knocking them down! He also loves to chew on them, the blocks are big enough that I am not worried about him choking. They also love the wagon - it is very strudy- my son climbs right in it and my daughter has pulled him around the house! This is a great starter block set and you will have it pass on to your grandkids! ... Read more

Segmented with feet, wings, head, and comb to build upon, this stacking hen will captivate your child longer than traditionally styled stackers. Why? Because it's a chicken that makes sounds, not a stack of silent, faceless rings. Discovering the surprises as each ring rattles, crinkles, squeaks, and jingles will prompt your baby to babble and chat. This stacker will fully engage your child while developing hand-eye coordination, touch sensing, body-part orientation, size grading, and imaginative play. 3-0 out of 5 stars eye catching
My infant daughter received this as a gift. It is a very eye- and ear- catching toy. The rings are attractive, colorful, and full of great noises for infants. However the pole is too flimsy. Even my 2.5 year old can easily get frustrated trying to put the rings on.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun for the rings, not the best stacking toy
I love the individual rings that make up this stacking toy.The bright colors, textures, and sounds make them great for a younger baby just starting to exploreand manipulate things.Unfortunately, it isn't verygood for what it is designed for -- stacking. The middle pole is cloth andis too flimsy. My one year old can stack plastic rings, but when she triesto stack these onto the pole, the pole bends away from her.You reallyhave to use one hand to steady the pole, and one to hold the ring, which isbeyond most toddlers.Still, she loves carrying pieces of this toy aroundthe house.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent toy.. highly recommended for new borns
You wouldn't believe how much a just born baby can play with this toy.
My 6 day old daughter has already started actively playing with this toy for the past 2 days. She keeps staring at the black and white images for almost 1 hr. If the toy is moved from her sight slowly she turns her head accordingly thus showing positively that she has been staring at this toy.
The baby face is her favourite. She also makes ooh ah noises at the flower pattern in the triangle and the cube. However, she doesn't like the cat face on the ball and always makes an effort and somehow turns the face away from her when the ball is kept near her reach.
This toy also has various textures. My daughter loves it when I move her hand and let her feel the soft red fabric texture.. she doesn't like to touch the yellow fabric texture and always removes her hand when I run her hand through it.

All said and done; this is a must have for any parent looking forward to spending some quality time with their child and watch her play on her own as well.

5-0 out of 5 stars Must have
our son loves all three shapes -- he will hold and shake the triangle and cube to hear them rattle -- roll the ball and feel the different textures on the surface

5-0 out of 5 stars superb toys!
Our daughter loved these: she had enjoyed the stim mobile, and these had some of the same symbols, so she was very excited to play with them. The pyramid is the easiest to handle (and chew!) and gradually she got to grips with the sphere and the cube. High quality toys. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Lots better choices out there to learn about stacking
I have these as well as some cheap plastic stacking cups and my 1 year old has never used these much. The cheap multi-colored cups that come 6-10 per set for about $2-$3 are much lighter, teach the stacking skills and take up way less space. I'd say my daughter uses those about 30-45 minuts a day and NEVER uses this toy. Buy the cheap cups instead. This toy is soooo heavy I don't understand why it is suitable for little kids. I am very disappointed overall with this toy.

4-0 out of 5 stars Lots of cute features for a baby
This toy has a lot going on.There are three pails and a ball that can be stacked or played with seperately. The largest pail (which is heavy and can hurt if thrown) is clear with water inside and sea creatures that move. This pail also has a rubber handle that can be chewed on like a teether.A blue pail has a sea star at the bottom and the pail rattles. The smallest pail is yellow with a hermit crab attached to the bottom. The crab can be turned and makes a clicking sound. The red ball has a fish inside that will spin when the ball is moved.

Overall, this has been a fun toy for my son.I wish that the sea star and crab that are at the bottom of two pails were more accesible for him.He looks at the crab, but his pudgy hands can't get down there to turn it.He does like the colors and creatures and they keep him entertained for up to 30 minutes at a time.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not for the tub
I bought this toy for my 15 month old daughter. She really likes it and plays with it every day. Other reviews have said that it is very heavy and indeed it is but we havent had a problem with that. She likes to put them inside of each other and stuff stuff into them. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Lots of fun for my 13-month old!
My 13-month old loves this toy. He rec'd it when he was 11 months old and continues to discover new things about it. His 16-month old friend loves it too. I can tell he will still be discovering how to do different parts of it for some time now!

The speaker volume is too loud, though, but I solved that by placing some packing tape over it!

2-0 out of 5 stars Loud and obnoxious
My son likes this thing well enough, but it unmercifully has no off button.Nothing like accidentally tripping over it in the night and waking the whole house up.It's really loud and annoying. After a couple of weeks you'll hate it.But your kid won't.

4-0 out of 5 stars Nice toy but too loud
Our son loves playing with his busy box. The key to open the door is beyond a toddlers capability, but it's easy enough to leave the door open. My biggest concern is the volume level of the music and sounds played. It really is much too loud for a developing child. We'll be removing the batteries so that he can enjoy the box without damaging his hearing. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Appears fun to kids at first but is also dangerous
Our one-year-old nephew received the ball popper as a birthday gift this past weekend, and all of the 3 and 4-year-old kids at the party were quickly excited and interested in helping keep the balls moving and flowing. It's looks like a great toy to play with, but it was surprising how many times the balls kept shooting out all over the place. It seems sort of "out-of-control" for a 9-month-old (min. age indicated on the box) to play with.At first we considered getting this toy for a friend's child, since it seemed to be such a hit with all of the kids. However, the most horrifying aspect of this toy is that a child's arm can get caught inside the hard, plastic hose where the balls are supposed to be dropped. The suction from the motor keeps the child's arm trapped inside the hose until the toy is shut off.We witnessed this happen to two of the kids who were playing with the toy. Also, sometimes when the toy was turned on, the air motion reversed for no reason so that the balls didn't pop out like they were supposed to.This didn't really seem to present a problem with the toy; it was just puzzling.I won't be buying the toy for our friend's child because of the suction issue.

4-0 out of 5 stars Lots of fun
My one year old daughter and everyone who ever saw this toy thought it was lots of fun.The ball popping produced many days of laughter. The only problem I found is that sometimes the toy came apart.

5-0 out of 5 stars my kids love this toy!

we got this as a christmas gift for my 2 kids who where 4 months and 17 months at the time . even at 4 months the second i turned it on he was smiling and cooing he loves it. and my daughter loves to play with all the time its her most favorite toy she plays with all the time. also the handle is very easy for her to push down by herself and after a month of me showing her she can do it all by her self.now hes 8 months and she 21 they really love it he plays with it all the time. the only problem is i need to getv another one because they are fighting over it and she takes it fom him all the time! ... 18. Stack N Build Table
Toy

Editorial Review

This double-sided table offers toddlers plenty of riveting activities for honing their early developmental skills. For example, toddlers learn cause and effect by using their fingertips to spin a dial and seeing how it causes the balls behind the see-through tunnel to skitter about. By flipping open the built-in doors, they can practice the enticing concept of repetition--making the same pictures (such as dancing bears, kittens, and dogs) appear and disappear over and over again. The nonbreakable mirror offers children an appealing opportunity for self-reflection. Flip the removable tabletop over and the textured surface becomes a sturdy base for interlocking activity blocks (included), so toddlers can practice building, designing, and stacking. Activity blocks can be displayed on the table's side shelves while toddlers are creating their architectural wonders, or they can be stored inside the table while not in use. --Gail Hudson ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Very Happy
I bought this table for 9.99 during one of the holiday sales.....I must say this was a steal.I was skeptical because it isn't electronic and I thought my son would get bored with it....we got it when he was 9mths and now he is 11.5 mths and in the past two months I have noticed he plays with it more and more each day!I am very, very happy with it!Not a moment of boredom!

1-0 out of 5 stars Parts not replaceable
My complaint with this toy and I would have to think that any similar toys by Fisher Price would be the same.
Anyway, during our move we lost some blocks to the table and the CSR from Fisher Price told me that they are unreplaceable and that the new version of this toy is does not have any compatible parts. Never will I purchase a toy like this from Fisher Price again.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Toy for 9 months and up...
I bought this for my son when he was 5 months old (it was on sale), but we didn't open the box until he was 9 months old.He has had great fun with it.We often take the top off and set it on the floor and he puts all his toys in the bottom part.He also has sat in it (not recommended) and it holds up under his weight with no problem.

I live overseas and I bought it on the local economy here, but I haven't noticed ours to have a particularly heavy top, and we haven't had it come crashing down on fingers or heads.

It's been very nice as I have a friend who has a 2 year old and she will come over and play with this toy too.So I am hoping that it will last with my son.

I have been happy with this toy overall and would definitely recommend it to others. ... Read more
