awesome!!!
I would not have thought much of the item based on packaging but we received this as a gift and it is my 2 1/2-year old's favorite. She loves the thing. It is now one of our favorite gifts to give. I have not heard of any problems and all the parts are sturdy. It is very cute to see how every little girl 'knows' to sling it over her wrist (I don't carry my purse that way..) Although, we are as likely to find trains and matchbox cars inside as we are to find the lipstick. Definately a great little item!

Excellent!
My daughter got this purse for Christmas last year when she was 18 months old. She is still playing with it all of the time! She loves to take her purse everywhere, just like mommy does! :) She is so proud of her purse that she is constantly showing it to people. Her favorite things out of the purse are the lipstick, keys, and card case. She loves to put her own items in the purse as well. This is a very cute set!

I wanted to get my only little girl her own purse, so she could be like mommy... I have 4 children, 3 year old b/g twins, and 8 month old b/b twins. she got this purse when she was 18 months and she has some new "favorites", but this was a hit anyways. She loves the lipstick, and the sunglasses case (we bought her disney ones) and the mirror. But there are better ones out there, we bought her some chapstick and a little better "plastic" lipstick to keep in there, we supervise with capstick. The keys and phone are the only things she didnt pay attention to, because we have better ones. FABULOUS!!!
I got these for my daughter's 8th birthday in Feb, and now (end of April) they continue to be used virtually every day.It is a little difficult at first to figure out who needs how many bands.(My children range from 3-16, the 3 year old doesn't do well without help.)But now, they all know how many bands they need.I recently purchased 5 more pair to have on hand for some birthday parties that my children will be attending.

Back away from the Moon Shoes...
First of all, I am a 13 year old girl weighing 155 pounds.When I got the moon shoes I was 12, with a size 10 shoe- that was the first mistake, anyone with over a size 8 1/2 womens shoes size is going to have a fun time trying to put those on.Size 10 is totally out of the question-you're toes hangover the end, so you're toes bend back everytime you take a bounce.Secondly if you weigh over 135 pounds, you barely get a foot in the air.Just to clear this up; these shoes are only for younger kids. ... Great Toy
I read all the previous reviews and I was concerned about things falling off the castle.However, the only thing that comes apart is the attachable heart and sometimes one side of the hot air balloon which is easy to attach by an adult.I have a 2 1/2 year old and she is not destructive and she LOVES this toy.I think you should disregard all the negative reviews and PURCHASE this toy.I have not regretted it in the month we have had it.The Dance Studio is great, too.
If your child loves My Little Pony then, you HAVE to BUY the CASTLE.

I have to give this castle an A + for how it looks.It is just plain cute!The castle comes with some very fun playing pieces, flower pot, kitchen sink that the ponies can open with their magnetic hooves, and, plates and forks that are fun.Cute design.The poor aspects of this toy are: It is poorly manufactured and I was close to taking it back until I decided to super glue the pieces on.After that, I was much more satisfied with the overall product.We threw out the crown - piece of junk that you couldn't wear anyway and the hot air balloon was tossed because it was "tired" looking but I kept the basket part the balloon went on so the ponies could stand on top of the castle.We have a little bit of difficulty getting the music to play when the pony steps on the platform and the stickers were out of control!I am hesitant to buy my little pony playsets, but we love the quality of the ponies themselves and my daugher who is 4 and I have spent a lot of time braiding the ponies hair and brushing them to look cute!Should have bought more ponies instead of the castle... ... I am 11 years old and still love pollys! They are soooo fun:) I have 2 sisters 8 and 3 years old and WE LOVE POLLYS!!!!! we like my little ponys to! but cool careers was worth 15.00 to me and my sisters its sooo cool to dress them up in work stuff my fave was the movie star outfit and the vet outfit COOL to take on car trips its great beacuse you get 3 girls and 1 boy We have the limo to if I were you get the limo!!! and the cool careers then they can drive to work cool huh the limo is only 10.00 oh ya get the limo with the pool its ONLY at toys r us Im pretty sure that the cool careers is only at toys r us Well I have to go play pa pa pa pollys! So fun for work or costume parties!
This toy is good because polly's need to go to work! They just can't party or shop all day. That's what my sister want them to do. I want to make them jump the grand canyon like evil canevil. I'm a daredevil just like my pollys. so make them go to work and then go to a costume party! great price. I got it for christmas. The boy is helpful because not every set make them. Go and buy it!

My Little Pony
These ponies are totally adorable! Princess Peppermint is the red one, Tropical Delight is the purple one, Flutterbutter is the white one, and Banjo Blue is the blue pony. My favorite is Princess Peppermint, I think she's the prettiest. They are'nt hard plastic. Their made of a soft rubber. I think its pretty good, that you can get 4 ponies in one giftbox. I reccomend in addition to these ponies, getting Fluttershy, Sew-In-Sew, Strawberry Swirl, Serpendity, Bumblesweet, Daisy Jo, Forsythia, Merriweather, and I have one named Golden Delicious. I would recommend more, but I forget their names. Anyway I hope all MLP fans, enjoy the ponies and their accsessories as much as me.:-D

A Collector's Review
There isn't much to say about these ponies. They're simply adorable... and you really can't beat the price. It's like buying three ponies and getting one free. Plus, the fact that this is a TRU exclusive set adds to the collector value of it. All-in-all, it's a good value for your money and a fine addition to any collection.

I also think little girls who are fond of MLPs would enjoy this set, as well. It's nice to get so many ponies at once - and at this price, it's fairly cheap, too! :)

Collector Note: This set only comes with 4 pony points, which is a bit of a disappointment. With four ponies, you'd think it would have 8. Or at least 6, since you're paying the same price as three regular ponies (which each have 2).

You just have to love these little ponies!!
My 6 year old daughter just loves these little ponies, she doesnt really play with them as much as collect them and they all are displayed on her window sill.She actually enjoys collecting and playing with all of the MLP ponies and accessories. Her grandfather actually drilled wholes through 3 of these ponies and strung them with beads and made her a beautiful necklace which she just loves to wear.I'm glad the My little pony collection is back!!

Cute and fun and take up less space then the big ponies!
My three girls prefer these little ponies to the regular sized My Little Ponies. I also prefer them because my girls are not into 'grooming' them, only playing with them, so the standard sized ponies are always very matted looking. These little ones are jointed in the neck, cute, and colorful. They are made very well. The tins do bend fairly easy but they bend back just as easy and it hasn't been a big problem for us as the ponies are usually loose in the storage bin and not always put back in the tins nor are the tins always used when the ponies are. My girls love putting these ponies on the My Little Pony dance studio which spins them around. Very fun. My girls have no interest in the big ponies since these came along, including my 2 1/2 year old. We bought the first series of six some time before Christmas and now we have purchased the new series of six more. I hope they keep coming. If your girl likes to brush the hair and do the dress-up hair bow thing, then this probably won't be best for her. But if she just likes to play with ponies or enjoys setting up cute collections, this might be perfect for her as well.

A Collector's Review
I'm a 26-year-old MLP collector, so please take that into consideration when you read this review. I am obviously looking for different things in my toys than the average child would be, so if you are considering buying this for a child, this review may not be that helpful to you :)

The Tiny Tin ponies are a collector's dream. Such tiny little replicas of the ponies we already know and love - and such adorable little tins to keep them in. Not to mention that the tins come in handy for storing candy, medicine, safety pins, paper clips, pony points - you name it. I've even bought extras to be able to use. They make a great (and adorable) mini-first-aid-kit for your car or purse. I love how each tin has a different design even on the inside, too. It's such a nice detail :)

That said, I would advise any collectors who are particular about the condition of their ponies to try to find these in their local toy store instead of buying the multi-pack here. I ended up having to replace my Daisy Jo because of a dark purple smudge right in the middle of her face. On the other hand, most of the ponies WERE in fine condition and you really can't beat the convenience of getting them all at once - and the little cardboard box they come in that perfectly nestles all 6 tins is strangely cute - and perfect for storing them. Whether you take the chance on getting all 6 at once or try to hunt them out yourself is really a judgement call that only you can make. ... Read more

I love this hotel!
Hi I LOVE this hotel! There are 2 lovely beds so then polly wont sleep alone. At first I was mad at this set I tought the rooms were to small and the hotel was dum well... I was very wrong the rooms are a nice size for polly's. The roller coster is SO fun and you get a ton of outfits. The only thing wrong is that when I opend it the handel of the yellow purse broke but it was kinda of dum anayway! I realy enjoy this set and so do my sisters and we play with it ALL the time. I think Mattel should be proud. I realy think kids of all ages can play with this set like 3-13 years old Im 11 and LOVE it! I gota go now by! - Jackie

AWESOME TOY FOR ANYONE!!
Even though the manufactuor says Polly Pockets are for ages 3-7, I don't really think that is apropriate. 3 year olds could swallow the pieces or something, and who says you have to stop playing with them when you're seven? I am quite a bit older than seven, and I still play with them!! I have a whole collection, and this is one of my favorites!! There are four rooms in the hotel, plus the roller coaster!! For people who say this toy is not durable, I don't know what you're talking about!! My toy stays together perfectly, and the roller coaster always stays on the track. This toy isn't exactly educational, but who cares? Toys are supposed to be fun, not an excuse to force more work on a child. But I guess it teaches you about hotels and stuff....
I also highly reccomend the other 3 playsets to go with this one. I personally think they become a bit boring without the other ones.

I just got this and I already fell in love with it!You can pretend the dolls are staying at the hotel. It has a room with two beds and a closet that pulls out. There is a gift shop with a balcony that pulls out, a desk that you can purchase your items at, a cash register, spots to sell cloths and purses, and a rack that holds a mirror, sunglasses, and magazines. The lobby has a reception desk to check in and out of the hotel, a couch, tv stand, and pull out floor for a cafe. The cafe holds a table, two chairs, and a hamburger tray. moon shoes.....GREAT!!!!
I got these for christmas. They're very hard to walk in, but if you jump everywhere no problems!!! I lov the color and size. My mom can use them!!

Durable, fun and the rubber bands are great
I got a pair of moonshoes when i was about 7. Now i am 17.They were a lot of fun, but i gor kinda bored.I really liked them though.The best thing about them would definately be the rubber bands.I still have them 10 years later. I use them for all sorts of things. I made water bottle holders out of them by tieing one in a knot and attaching it to my belt.I want to find more of the rubber bands. 10 years old, and they didn't dry out or anything.
I remember that they used them on that nickeloden show, "Wild and Crazy Kids." they would show the same reruns for years.I saw that and i wanted them. i got them, didn't use them much (i get bored quicker than most kids)(i wasn't very active either).
Now i am looking for one somewhere in my house for a water bottle holder for skiing tomorrow.
I would recommend these for a kid who likes to jump around, an alternative from the bed.
I'm surprised that they still sell them. i havent even seen them in years.
i just started searching for them because i want to find more of the rubberband. I didn't really jump that high, then again, i'm not that good at sports, and it was between a period of 5 and 10 years ago.Every few years i would see them. 2 years ago i took them apart and used the foot thingys for a sled i made.they last forever.i think i just saw part of one in my garage.

They don't really make you jump high, but they make jumping more fun.it is a good excercise too.

Great toy
My four year old daughter got this toy for her birthday.It required very little set up and assembly.My daughter has had lots of fun.The only negative is only one of the disks has a magnetic spot to enable to ponies to dance it would be nice if all three disks on the dance floor could enable the ponies to twirl and dance.But this has not deterred the great imaginative play this toy has sparked.

This is great!
I got this toy for Christmas and I absoulutly LOVE it! Unlike what other people say, it dosn't break for me. It closes up nicely, too and nothing falls apart. I love this! The only thing I don't like is that the "changing room" is too small for the pony to fit in, so you have to move the furniture so the pony will fit. Overall, I LOVE this!

Great addition to pony collection - Easy to store
This toy arrived almost completely ASSEMBLED!Even the stickers were attached!The best part about this toy (from a parent's perspective) is that it all fits neatly inside and you clip the top shut.It has a carry strap for taking on visits to Grandmas.The music is loud enough for play but not too loud and it plays more than one song.The magnets really hold the ponies on the dance circles very tightly.Even baby ponies can dance.If you are only buying one, I recommend this over the amusement park with ferris wheel.This holds together and the amusement park falls into several peices and is very difficult to store.My daughers love the music and motion of the Dance Studio. ... We bought this for our one year old for Christmas
My son loves to vacuum with me so we though that it would be fun to get him his own vaccuum. We got this one and he loved it right away. Although the sound effect got annoying really fast, he played with it for about 3 weeks before he was bored with it.After that he took the accesories and ran around the house hitting things with them. I trashed it by May. It was so beat up and in pieces and my furniture and walls were beat up.

FANTASTIC
My 15M baby was so afraid of our vacuum cleaner that I had not used the vacuum for a long time. Then I bought the Hoover Vacuum and was surprised by how cute it was and it really works as a vaccum cleaner. Now my son loves to vacuum with me (using his)this is a fantastic toy! The attachments come out,(the clear plastic door comes off easy too.. does not break) the card board air filter comes offwith a little door, the door to the vaccum bag (cloth filter) comes off and it really collects dust. I clean the little bag with my vaccum.

My kids love this toy

Oh what to buy!
My kids love shopping carts, we go to a grocery store where they have little minni ones for kids. WEll when we were in the market for one, we needed the following reqirements...

* A place for a dolly, must be the best thing about a cart
* Big basket, to hold food and what ever else they are shopping for
* Sturdy durable plastic, not the cheep kind that will crack and leave sharp edges
* Wheels where little fingers cant get hurt
* Something thats just the right size

Well most of the "good" carts are pink, and thats no good considereing I have but one girl, 3 year old b/g and 8 month old b/b... so it was between this and leapfrog, now why did this one win?

Its fun to watch
I bought this when my daughter was 16months and she loves it cause she has the foood sets to go with it. Shes acts like she is shopping and even putts her baby dolls in the front seat. The only thing that is if they try to put to much heavy stuff in the cart it will sometimes fall forward.Its very light wieght and duriable

A winner!
I bought this for my 2 year old for Christmas.It's now April and she's still roars through the house with it...everyday!It's one of the few toys that she still enjoys months after Christmas.It's quite sturdy and I had no problems putting it together. To further endorse this toy, as I type (literally) my daughter is ripping through the house with her SHOPPING CART loaded with various plastic food products!Please be aware that you need to purchase the grocery items seperately. We love it!
I'm sorry so many have had trouble with this toy.My daughters love it.They are 7 & 9 and after some practice they had it going right every time.You cannot shove Polly in the dressing room or yank her out.The clothes WILL fall off.We will buy more Polly Quik-Cliks.This is a really neat toy!

WOAH.....
WOW...everyone here is brutal while reviewing this playset-I completely disagree-I had none of the problems everyone else had here-all the clothes clicked immediately on Polly when she gets slipped into the changing room-comes out of the curtain no problem too-I think it is a very creative idea with the magnetic doll and the clothes-none of the magnets fell off, the clothes had no problem staying on the clothes applicator....nope no complaint here(and believe me I have no problem complaining about mismanufactured toys- just check out my other reviews)

I would suggest to the previous reviewers here with all their problems to call the manufacturer personally. I once had a missing piece to a Polly playset- I called them and they sent me a coupon for $10.00 off any Mattel toy. Either look on the back of the toy or on the instruction sheet to get the 800 telephone number. It sounds to me that it may be a manufactures defect in some of the products everyone in the review section had-might have been the first ones off the assembly line. I guarantee that Mattel would treat you well...they would rather send you a measly $5.00-$10.00 coupon rather than to lose your business which brings them billions of bucks a year.....YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST GUYS!!!!!

Totally Coolto play with
My daughter got this for Easter and we all love it!!!I read the other reviews and Im sorry theirs dont work properly, but ours works just like its supposed to.

It is enginered so that you can only put the clothes on the thing one way....so that the front will always be in front, ect.
So if they fall off, you know you put it on wrong.And then you lower the shute slowly and push Polly into the dressing room slowly till you hear a "click".That click is the clothes "jumping" onto the doll!!!!It is so Cool to watch!!!

We took this to Grandmas house to show her and all the adults sat and played with it for hours.....our only disappointement was that we only had one Click-it Polly to play with!!!!But the regular polly's got to be the store owner, so we still got to play with them!

This is probably the coolest Polly product out there.And we will definetly be buying more of the 'click-it' products to go with it. ... Read more

Not so great
Hard to fit all the pieces back on the case. Case fell apart shortly after purchase. Stethoscope does not fit well at all. To big for average childs head and very short. Blood pressure band also falls apart very easily.

Fun...but
First, I would like to say that my two year old daughter has fun playing with this toy almost every day.She loves to play doctor with her dolls, stuffed animals and family members.The contents of the doctor kit are great for a young toddler: safe, colorful and interesting.The kit has been useful in helping us get her prepared for what to expect in her well visits.On the down side, the doctor bag itself is a bit flimsy and has been the cause of many a two year old tantrum.First, getting the tools in and out of the bag requires method and work - things need to go in and out in a certain order to be able to close the bag as well as for easy removal.When trying to get the tools out by herself, (and as any parent of a two year old knows, doing things by themselves is not necessarily a choice but a necessity) my daughter invariably flings the bag on the floor in frustration causing one or both of the clear plastic closures to come off.So far, they can be easily snapped back together by mom or dad but I think the design could have been better.The stethoscope and sphygmomanometer, although a bit difficult to use, are still fun and I can see they were construced with safety in mind.I would recommend it for your young toddler.

Such a cutie!!!!!! Must get two for my other daughter!!!!!
I got this for my 3 yr. old's 3rd birthday, well we got her two because, she can never have one kind of pony - she needs one to talk to another!!! So wegot her a purple one too. She loves them!!! I don't think she's let them out of her arms since she got them!!! We got them for her at about, late August 2004. She holds one carrier like a purse and one around her neck. The carrier always falls off!!! So Mommy had to do a little sewing to fix it!!!! Besides that the noises are so sweet - my daughter thinks that it's a real little baby pony!!! That's how she treats it!!! Myoldest daughter's birthday is coming up, and we're going to buy her two too. Sometimes when the commercial comes on, or if I'm on amazon.com, she looks at the video. Afterwards, she says: 'Mommy, I'm saving my money for that!'! I think that this toy is good for collectors and for kids, not for 3-7, 3-whenever you don't want it or when your kid does'nt want it!!!! My kids and I collect MLP'S and polly pockets, lots of ponies are perfect in the family but, this one is better than perfect. We're not sure about the carriers, but we love the baby ponies!!!!

Daughter loves it
My niece was the first to have this and my daughter fell in love with it. We bought her one and she doesn't let it leave her side. My brother is going to buy it for his daughter now too because it has gone over so well. I definately recommend this toy, it cheap, durable and lots of un for the little ones!

Melissa & Doug have done it again!
This is a solid wood set that will last as long as your kids!.Yeah, the paint may wear of in a few years...but no breaking, no scratchy plastic parts, no cehap construction.And you littlest one won't even be able to chew it apart like those paper grocery/food boxes!Everything I have bought by Melissa & Doug has been great.This is no exception.

"Wood" you find this food fun?
We LOVE Melissa & Doug products and this one in-particular has been our daughter's favorite!She's had this wooden food set for over a year and each one is in excellent condition.The wood and paint takes a beating, since she loves to put them in and out of her grocery basket, stack em', knock em' and re-stack em' over and over. They'll last forever and she knows each peice by heart.I hope to keep these for years, so her children can play with them as well. So much better than plastic!!

These are fantastic.The "boxes" of dry goods are sturdy, colorful, well made and are hefty.My son, who's turning 2 in a few weeks, just received these as a gift and he really gets a kick out of "cooking" alongside me.Great for pretend play!I also like that they are "generic" styled goods - orange juice, salt, sugar, rice, etc.No name brands being foisted on our young uns!

I imagine these will be a favorite in our household for quite some time.I also think they're fine for kids under 3; especially if your little one is starting to enjoy "pretend" play, as mine is.Safe, durable and a lot of fun! ... Read more

I confess, I buy Polly Pockets for my 4 year old because I LOVE THEM.This set is a great value and tons of fun. The Dare to Hair Polly has added a whole new play dimension!I agree that the little hair dryers in the SUV are a pain. LOVE the groovy tunes, though.The jet reminds me of my Weebles airplane toy from the 70s. Nostalgia aside, I give it high marks for durability, interesting design, and fun value.

Well as far as getting your moneys worth with Polly-that is true-being durable-that is another story-the back window frame of the car broke even before we got it completely out of the package-(believe me I am rather careful with this stuff) the little rear seat hairdryers are cute-but when they are removed-there are 2 pieces to it and if the little nuts comes off and gets lost-you can not put it back on the car. My daughter loves the hair crimping set and all the hair accessories. I do like that this one has fabric clothes as opposed to all the other rubber clothes that come with all the other sets-but they do not have all the fine detail that the rubber clothes do. Cute toy-but all I have to say is........eh...it's ok.

The airplane is cute-although the wings come off and the small door also pops off. But it is fun.

i have owned many polly pocket items in my life, and the products just seem to be getting a little better.i think that this particular item is an OK idea, because it's more to play with than just a rubber doll and some flimsy rubber clothes.that is i mean that now it's a flimsy rubber bus added to the flimsy rubber doll and clothes.this toy is nothing but cheap plastic put together and i think that it is a huge waste of money.it will fall apart in a matter of days and leave the child who wanted it for so long in tears.maybe someday polly pocket company will realize that it should make larger dolls, so that it would not need those "choking hazard" signs all over them...until then, two thumbs down for this terrible item. ... I wouldn't swim in it
My girls love Polly and her and all her pals. I bought this play set the other day for my 3 1/2 year old-the swimming fish are cute-the elevator is a cute idea but does not raise up to the level of the pool-kinda leaves Polly to take a flying leap to get there-but it is an adorable concept. I have to say that the pool that sits on top of the fish tank is not the most sturdy of things-it falls off at the slightest touch-best not to fill it with water(found out the hard way)-although I am wary of the pool -I love Polly and all her play sets. Would recommend it(as long as you keep it and your child dry)

Less than wonderful
I purchased this toy as an Easter present for my 4-yr-old.We were very disappointed.The quality of the toy is poor.The elevator broke nearly every time my daughter or either of her parents attempted to use it.The "pool" is unstable, it just rests on top of Polly's house.We had to return this toy.I wish Polly stuff was made better.

great idea, but...
The Get-Up Roaring Dinosaur looks like a pretty cool toy, and my 3 year old nephew fell in love with it when he first put it on; however, the fun was short lived.He immediately took on his adorable, little dinosaur persona and he loved the great sound effects, but the costume was simply too hot for him to wear for long, especially while tromping around.Also, the sound effects didn't always fit his imagined scenario.After just a few minutes, the whole thing ended up another discarded, temporary toy.Although he still likes to pretend he's a dinosaur, he does so sans costume.

This may work as a great halloween costume, but it will not be the source of hours of fun for energetic 3-6 year olds.On the other hand, I'd like to know when they come out with an adult-sized version!

One of the most inventive toys on the market
This toy is really one of the coolest I've seen. Unfortunately these Get-ups were not around when I was little but I get excited just watching my little brother and my little cousins play in their Get-ups for hours. Depending on which animal the child chooses they can slip into furry slippers and a stuffed-animal-like head piece that makes realistic noises in relation to the childs movement. Each tilt of the head makes a completely different kind of roar or snarle (the slippers make sound too!).
