3-0 out of 5 stars Tips Easily
We bought this for our son, 18 months, some months ago.DH was strolling through the store and ds HAD to have it.Yeah, right. He loves making the popper go around and the noise the popper makes, but even as a pretty coordinated 18-month-old, he will tip it occasionally.I believe that we will leave this one inside and buy another with the wide back wheels for outside.

1-0 out of 5 stars Handle broke off!!
My son had a lot of trouble turning this bike.We had to throw it out because the handle bar broke off.Glitter part broke right away. Just not a durable toy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Dispite the negative reviews - Love it!
My child received this when he was 13 months old.. Fast forward 2 months later he still loves it and rides it every day. He is very short and can just barely reach the ground, but it's still a favorite toy of his. So far, I would buy this again in a minute. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars It's a home run!
We got this car for our almost 4 year old. It's perfect for him - We took him to a park with a long stretch of paved paths and we had to rent bikes to keep up with him.Everyone that passed him turned their head and smiled - many were asking where they could get one. It's a great car because it mimicks the actions of a bike - like handlbars and peddling - it will make the transition to a bike real easy. ... When young children are pretending to do the work of adults, they like to use work vehicles that have as many realistic features aspossible. Equipped with a working front loader and backhoe, thiscolorful tractor from Roadmax offers the industrious toddler amultifunctional vehicle that looks just like the full-size version theymight see working along the highway. Made of sturdy plastic in brightprimary colors, the tractor measures approximately 26 inches long whenboth the front loader and backhoe are fully extended. Both buckets canbe used to dig and scoop, and once they are raised you can lock them inplace to carry dirt, rocks, or toys across the back yard or playroom. The tractor's backhoe swivels up to 360 degrees and the front cab isbig enough to hold an action figure (sold separately). Other Roadmaxvehicles are sold separately. --Chris Burns ... Read more

What child who doesn't love Thomas the Tank's friendly face? The Thomas Medium set is a great introduction--or addition--to Thomas the Tank's world. The set comes complete with a train station, a traffic light, a little greenery and even a drawbridge. This "unique motorized road and rail system" is compatible with all other Thomas the Tank engine sets so you can easily add additional tracks or collect all of Thomas the Tank's friends. --Andrea Linsky ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Thomas & Friends - Train Set
Bought this for my son for Christmas he is Four Years Old. He loved it. Setup was a snap (sorry no pun intended) only took 5 minutes. Only needs one AA battery goes in Thomas (just pull middle wheels down and lift off the top carriage).

The bridge is great, there is a switch to stop the train at the station and two props (tree and signal light). This set is extendable if you decide to do so in the future, which is great.

Recommend it, best train set for around (...).

5-0 out of 5 stars Thomas Train a Really Useful and FUN Engine
This Thomas the Train set is a huge hit with the 3 kids in our house: my girls, ages 2 and 4, and my husband! The interlocking track is easy enough for my youngest daughter to attach (and detach, which she prefers to do).The trains run on the track, on the floor, and even the carpet (slowly). The drawbridge works like a charm. My oldest loves the lever to stop one train (usually to cause a wreck with another oncoming train). The set comes with Thomas and cars Annie and Clarabel.Toys R Us had a sale, so we also bought a Percy, Gordon, and James. It's a good thing we did!Christmas Day my husband had trouble releasing the catch to install the batteries in Thomas and Percy. The instructions (graphics only, no words) were no help at all.Fortunately the batteries in Gordon and James are easily installed into their coal cars.We took the Thomas and Percy back to the store for help.We like this set so much we plan to buy additional track.

5-0 out of 5 stars Hundreds of Hours of Fun
My 7-year old son still continues to play with this set and all the other related Thomas sets we have.We started collecting these pieces when he was 3 years old. He's been able to put this track together in so many different ways with little or no help from the start. He has a huge toybox full of this train set now. After 4 years, 2 of our 3 bridges broke after being stepped on.We have glued one back together and now it works just fine.None of the bridges have their sides anymore, but the trains work just fine and stay on the tracks very well.Only one piece of track has ever broken, which says a lot for it's durability. You have to be a little careful with the trains with the tenders, i.e. attached second car, like Gordon, Henry, etc.(Not included in this set). The batteries are placed in the tender and 2 wires connect the train front to the tender. If these wires get pulled roughly, the train will no longer work.As I said though, we've had this set for over 4 years and only lost a handful of trains. My son no longer watches Thomas videos or cares to spend a "Day out with Thomas", but he continues to play with this train set and ask for the newest pieces for Christmas and birthdays. We don't mind buying them either. It's a worthwhile gift to buy as it is durable and gets a lot of use. ... My 2 year old daughter loves this truck. She pushes it around the house, pushes it down the Fisher Price garage ramp. Love it. Great toy.

4-0 out of 5 stars trucks!
My son is 1 and LOVES trucks. He just got this one for his birthday. We love the Little People and this one is very cute. My son loves to push it around and he likes to throw the "rocks" that come with it around the room! He doesn't know how to push down the man to hear the noises, but he likes it when I do it. This toy is still pretty new, but it seems like a durable toy. I don't know how educational it is, but we like it- lots of fun. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A gift that keeps on giving...
We bought this for our youngest son last Christmas. He is now 2 1/2 years old and still plays with it almost every day.It is very well made, and very reasonably priced. In the beginning, we had to sit with our son to show him how to put the train back together, but now he's a pro. This is a toy we'll be pulling out for a grandchildren in the years to come, as long as he doesn't feed any of the blocks to our dog!!I highly recommend this toy; it gets more "play time" than our leappad, lego table or Vtech toys.

3-0 out of 5 stars Ours fell apart
The entire stacking train fell apart within a month of arriving in our household. My children are not rough on toys, but the wheels came off the train with normal use. My mother threw out the packagaing before we ever saw it, so I have no idea how the train is supposed to fit together (we guestimated) but even so, once the wheels were off, my children were not interested. I have a three-year-old who loves puzzles and is very proficient at them, which would seem to make her the ideal recipient of this toy. She didn't enjoy it, however. The concept behind the toy is okay, however, and if the wheels had stayed on, maybe the kids might have warmed up to it eventually.

3-0 out of 5 stars Save the picture!
Well we just got rid of the first set I bought at Big Lots when my son got a second set for his birthday. He seems to more into now than last Christmas and I saved the picture that came with it so that *I* can remember how it goes together.I think it's a little frustrating because the pieces HAVE to go just *SO* to make it fit properly. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Not as good as prior model
We ordered the prior model of this wagon before Christmas when it had steel wheels. It arrived damaged in shipping and now is no longer available. Now the wheels are plastic.Plastic doesn't last.If you're selling something as a "classic", then it should be made the same way.

4-0 out of 5 stars great gift
I bought 2, one for each of my grandsons but turned out to be a useful family gift.Easy to assemble and was much larger than I expected for the price. My daughters haul my grandkids, can easily fit 2 per wagon, to the park or my house.Kids are too young to do more than enjoy the rides for now but wagons are so well built I expect they will still be around when kids are old enough to play with them as well as in them. Big negative shocker was the mailing charges. ... Read more

Assigned to the Farquhar Quarry Co., Ltd., Mavis is one of the hardest-working engines on the Thomas Wooden Railway System. Still, by her smile and bright eyes, we can tell that this six-wheeled, 3.25-inch-long worker bears her burdens cheerfully. Made of sturdy wood and plastic, black-and-white Mavis is part of a whole creative system of train-car characters, wooden tracks, and scenery based on the popular Thomas the Tank Engine book, television, and video series. She attaches to other cars via heavy-duty magnets. Like all Thomas Wooden Railway parts, Mavis carries a lifetime warranty. --Joan DeClaire ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great fun, but shows wear early
My boys love Thomas and all his friends (and I like that Mavis is a lady engine but is really tough).Mavis gets played with often and in general she is, as most all of the Thomas line, durable. However, her black paint seems to chip off more easily along her edges than with the other engines - could be it just shows up more because of the color.I say it shows that she is loved when my sons ask why her paint is chipping, but you might warn your kids to be extra careful with Mavis.Otherwise, she's a lot of fun.

4-0 out of 5 stars Mavis has changed since my day
I was just looking at my 8 year old Mavis and I relized it only has four wheels. The one in the picture has 6 wheels. Of course Salty in the picture has eight wheels and our Salty has six but that made me wonder. Because of Mavis's sideplates she doesn't run very well but my little sister loves her anyway. I wish they'd make the magnets like the take along Thomas magnets that u can connect both ways but I guess we can't have everything.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the few Female Engines
Mavis is a diesel engine that works in the Sodor quarry. She sometimes is too independent for her own good.Mavis has sleek black paint, a cowcatcher, and buffers around her wheels. Her smiling face will be sure to brighten up your child's playtime.Choose Mavis or any of the fun Thomas products. They're great! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Chris from CO isobviously not all that bright...
It fits on the back of a tricycle... not an adult bike.Take a look at the nice photos Amazon provides.

5-0 out of 5 stars REVIEWERS NEED TO OWN THIS ACCESORY!
Obviously over half of the reviewers dont even own a kettrike! One review even explains how bicycle seats arent safe, this is not for an adult bike, please read the description or own the product before you review it and give it a bad rating which it doesnt deserve. Yes it doesnt fit on the air kettrikes (we have 2 sets of twins, 2 kettrikes, the air jumbo and the happy navigator). It is great to accomidate one of my 3 year old drivers, and one of their little brothers. I could even buy up to FOUR seats so five kids could ride! (I probably wouldnt but its nice knowing that you can!) It is GREAT. I have yet to see any other trike accomidate TWO kids at the same time! And I mean safely, not like the radio flyers that one kid stands and one kids drives, this is WAY cooler! Okay this is how it works, You place this insert between the two pieces of the kettrike that come apartt. The "drivers" pedals and steers the bike by using the kettrikes original handle bars and pedals, and using the inserts seat. The second kid is basically along for the ride. They use the original kettrikes seat, and this inserts handle bars and "pedals", (they dont really move but my kids still call them pedals). It is VERY easy to take on and off.I love it and so do my kids. I am very dissapointed in many of the angrey reviews who obviously dont own this product OR a kettrike! I recomend ALL the kettrike accesories and DEFINATLY this one. (I may even purchase another kettrike without air tires to get another one!)

5-0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT product, some people don't have a clue !
The previous reviews do not do this product justice.

First of all you MUST HAVE a Kettler trike BEFORE you judge the tandem insert, if you don't then why would you need it? Why comment on something you don't own / or even need?

No, this insert does not fit the Air Happy, or any of the "Air" trikes, most websites will tell you that (except this one) Toy R Us fault, not tandem insert's

Where's the seat belt?
They are sold seperately. But most kids who are old enough to ride a trike don't need a seat belt.My little one is 18mths and she can hold on very well (back seat rider)

Not safe?
Maybe not for those people who don't let their kids touch dirt b/c of the micro-organisms it contains.

The Kettler trike has weight limit of <<<< 400 lbs >>>
it has a steel frame, heck I have ridden it a time or two, it has a height adjustable frame, it is easy to assemble and disassemble--fits in the trunk of my Honda, and it doesn't tip over like other trikes ((good when kids are just learning to get on/off))

Besides what other trike do you know can accommodate two chunky tots? Or one chunky tot and a mom who has fun with her kids?

I love it!! correction WE love it!! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars 20-month-old Girl's Opinion!
My triplet daughter got this after having the "Girls Rider Walker" and the only thing she likes about it is the music. The "Glitter Girl" is powered, but does not go very fast at all.She was use to pushing with her own feet on the "Girls Rider Walker" and could go very quickly!!!I think it is good for any 20 month old, just as long as they were not spoiled by their own speed from a car that they can push with their own feet!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars A family pleaser!
My mom bought this toy for her preschool and brought it home for my 14 month olds visit...My little girl loved it. She was riding it herself with in the 1st day and entertained everyone by dancing to the music it plays...What a fun toy!

5-0 out of 5 stars Loves it!!
My husband brought this toy home for my 1yr old daughter for her birthday.I thought it was too old for her as she was just learning to walk. However she quickly mastered walking and now LOVES to push and pull this toy all over the house. She loves to ride on it, although right now, she cannot climb on and off of it by herself. She loves pushing the buttons and hearing the music and "mother's voice"She just get a huge grin on her face and wants us to enjoy it with her. Great toy. My only complaint is that it doesn't "steer" very well. You have to push the toy to change direction.Lastly the seat has a storage area to hold lots of little toys for her to tote around. ... Although the maker calls this a boy's trike, we think little girls will enjoy itjust as much. It's made of cheerfully (nongender-biased) colored plastic and has largewheels and a wide wheelbase for stability. It can be ridden under pedal power or inpush-pull mode with an adult at the handle--there's a retractable footrest for resting feet. Theadjustable seat can be fixed in one of three positions, allowing for more leg room. 4-0 out of 5 stars Very Pleased
My son received this for his first birthday. He can't pedal yet, but loved to sit on the bike and "walk" it.When we go outside, when he sees the big kids riding their bikes, he walks to his and gets on it.I've used it as a stoller to walk him around the neighborhood. He loves it!
I've had similar problems with the foot rest.It is placed in an odd position, so his feet won't stay on it.When his feet fall off, his foot gets stuck between the foot rest and the ground, but I notice this quickly and taught him to hold his feet up.I've had no trouble with the handle, other than my son wants to push it around when he is not riding it.

2-0 out of 5 stars thanks
i read the reviews on this page, and having a destructo-son, i decided to purchase a different item.he loves riding toys and is very rough, so thank you for your input, so i didn't have to make the same mistake as some of you.

3-0 out of 5 stars Varrooom, Varrooom
This one is best for older/tall toddlers. We got this trike when my son was 19 months. He never learned to keep feet on the movable pegs, I never use the push bar. Now 23 months he is happy to 'ride on' without touching the pegs or pedals. He trundles around the yard going "Varrooom, Varrooom". At 32" tall he still can't reach the pedals. Perhaps he can use it as a true trike in a few more months. An adjustable seat would really help this design. ... Read more

With this carry bag, your little ones can take their pal Thomas the Tank Engine and all his railroad buddies with them wherever they go. Made of sturdy, washable, reinforced vinyl, the 15- by 7- by 3-inch blue case has pictures of Thomas, Percy, James, and Henry on the front and plenty of space inside for all of them and the tracks they need to keep running. There are small pouches for storing different parts and both a carrying handle and a shoulder strap for transporting the set. 3-0 out of 5 stars We Love It
My son got this case for his 2nd birthday along with the Figure 8 trian set.He loves it and is so funny trying to carry it around the house.I think it is a great way to carry and store the trian set.I dont know what we would do w/o it.I dont know just how durable it will be because it is still new.I do know that we liked it so much that we recommended it for a gift to another 2 year old and he loves it as well.Basically it has been a big hit all around!!!

1-0 out of 5 stars THOMAS CARRY BAG
My son received this bag for Christmas 2001, it is very poor quality. It is not durable, the straps tore loose from the bag with in just a few months. If your child is anything like mine, Thomas goes everywhere he goes. This bag cannot handle the wear and tear. If your looking for something to carry your train set in you need to look further.

3-0 out of 5 stars A utilitarian case for your treasures!
This carry bag, although functional, could definitely stand some improvements. My 2-year old adores his wooden trains and requires us to bring them along wherever we go. My biggest beef with the product is the lack of dividers or any type of organization. Inside, there are a few pockets suitable for holding a few engines/cars, but otherwise the bag is just a flimsy, rectangular piece of plastic. It's great for just throwing some wooden track into and getting on your way, but it would be better if there were separate compartments for curved & straight track and maybe an accessory or two. I gave it three stars across the board, but we have not had it for very long so I cannot vouch for the product's durability.
BOTTOM LINE: If you've got to have a Thomas bag for your trains & track that travel, this is about your only option. But I'd recommend you save your [money] and throw them in a small duffel. ... Read more

You are supposed to push downwards with your weight and it "inches" forward. He couldnt do it at all. The only play he ever got out of it was climbing on and off it a few times. The sound maker (located at the horses face) fell out shortly after getting it also, and wouldnt stay in place. Sold it at a fleamarket for a couple dollars. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars A good first walker/ride on combo toy
We picked this up for our 15 mos old dtr at our local toy store because she is infatuated with the wiggles. The handle on back helped her with her first steps walking and she now loves to sit on the seat and push herself around. It is a good first car because of it's compact size, low to the ground for little ones. She loves pushing her "babies" in it too and uses it as a doll carriage.Great value for the price!

2-0 out of 5 stars Not so great!
My daughter tried out a similar car at a friends house and she loved it! So I thought I would go pick one up for her - Well, I guess the one my friend has was older or something, because you could actually steer the front tires where you wanted to go - Not so much with this one. Then, there were no holes for the handle on the back, so her little car is without that feature right now; I am probably going to take it back to get something else. I was disappointed to say the least.

4-0 out of 5 stars
Overall, I thought this toy was easily assembled (at least as easy as any other child's toy.We needed to punch a hole for one screw, and the bar for the handle just reaches, but really not that bad), and for the amount of fun my 15-month-old has gotten out of it in the week or so she's had it, it was worth it.My daughter loves it and does well with it.It's just the right size for her to climb on and off of herself - which is very important to her. It's a good toy for the price. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars For TODDLERS only!
I ordered this for my 8 year old grandson to use with a razor scooter.I totally relied on the information provided on the website recommending it for ages 6 - 12 yrs.My grandson is thin and average build, so I was sure it would fit.He could not even get the pads on!It would probably fit a normal size two year old.

1-0 out of 5 stars TOO SMALL!!!
I was really excited to give this to my son for his third birthday with his first bike. Unfortunately, it was too small for his head.He is a little big for his age, but his head is not oversized. No way is this for "ages 4 and up."

1-0 out of 5 stars Disappointed
I also purchased this item believing it was for children ages 4 and up, as clearly stated in the description. It is NOT!! It is clearly a Toddler's helmet and pad set, when you receive it is written on the box Toddler. The helmet and pads are small, obviously for a toddler. I also had to return it, and as a matter of fact, am still waiting to be credited for it. Amazon should change the description of this item to state Toddler, so it won't be so misleading. This might be fine for a toddler, but do NOT purchase this if the child is older than about 3!! ... Read more
