love it!
I love this toy! It's the best. I like the magnets and how the babies and toys stick to honey. It has a lot of small pieces though and the bone can get stuckinside honey, the dog. This toy is so fun, me and my friends want to collect them all!

fun, but not very sturdy
We purchased this toy for our 3 and 6 year old girls. Luckily they love it, but I hate all the tiny pieces and it really isn't very sturdy. Right after I opened it the string came off of the swing, and we hadn't even used it yet. Since then, we have had to re-tie it 3 times and believe me, that is no easy feat!!! I wish the scale of it was bigger and that it was sturdier.

hours of playtime!
We purchased a bunch of the Polly Pocket items and my 3yr old triplets are in love with them.My son won't put down this car, so I had to order another one for the girls to share!They loved that the dog has clothes too, and nothing else has kept their attention as long as these have.I recommend all the Polly Pocket toys.It helps them learn coordination too, because they learn how to put the clothes on, etc.It is also helping them use thier imagination and role playing.Awesome toys!I also sent one to my 4yr old niece who is also discovering the fun of Polly and her friends! ... Entertaining and Educational
My daughter got this for her 12 month old birthday and she loves it.She loves the song Old McDonald and wants to play it over and over again as she dances to it.The animals are great for her to learn the noises but mostly to identify the animal.I'll tell her to go get the horse and she'll come back with it!It also goes great with the Baby Einstein video Baby McDonald because they use that toy in it and she recognizes it and will go push the button to make the song.Our daughter loves it and has had it for 2 months now and has not gotten bored with it.

dangerous choking hazard
My son loved this toy also.HOWEVER, this morning as he was playing he started coughing.I looked over to find the small hand piece missing off the farmer.When initially examining the toy upon purchase all the pieces appeared safe for a toddler as the package indicated.Obviously that is not the case as one hand piece had come off completely.I plan to contact the manufactor, however I strongly caution anyone who chooses to purchase this toy.As fun as it may seem it is obviously a choking hazard.

Get this toy!
Not only did my 1 year old love this toy when he got it, (as did his big sister) but he has been riding around the house on it for over a year and it is still in good shape!He thinks the trailer is great for sitting on and pushes himself around on it. (And he weighs 25 pounds!)The mechanism for moving itself forward automatically finally gave out recently due to his misuse, but he doesn't seem to mind. Very Creative
I think that this toy is genius. It has everything Polly needs throughout the year, plus it includes a two year calender. The fashions are very well designed and this toy is loads of fun to play with...even for us older Polly fans. =)

Awesomley Fashionable
Well..I got this toy 2 weeks ago and it's still as fun as I first got it. The clothes are my favorites out of all of them. My main dolls, Courtney,Rachel,Brad,Ryan,Ashlee,Mary,and Julia wear them more than my other 25 dolls. Courtney,my fashion designer made them all. It would be cool if it came with purses and shoes for every outfit because I don't have many dainty shoes. I love polly's and this seems to me underpriced for it's funness, so buy it while you can! Kid Friendly, but not Adult Friendly
I got this as a gift for my 3 year old daughter.However, it was terribly difficult to put together.I was afraid I was going to break it.When I did put it together (sort of), the car kept on falling off the track when me or my daughter used it.She enjoys it immensely, but since older children are playing with it, I would think FP would have made it more durable.

The most fun of all the Little Peple sets!
This is fun! My 4 yr old daughter loves it and my 9 mo old daughter loves to watch her play with it, especially when the car slides down the track. It makes adorable sounds. My daughter begs me to play little people with her all the time, I have to say, this keeps my attention a lot longer. This is something all 3 of us, me, 4 yr old and baby love playing with together. The only thing I wish is that it would fold up for storage. I hate how much space these things take! But this is a lot of fun and very durable.

what a pain in the hinny -

I bought each of my daughters one of these-it is a cute idea, but a bit difficult to transform into the deck from a bus for them. They are of the required age of the toy-yet-taking out the floor and popping it out into the deck is a challenge-while you are trying to do this the deck walls usually pop off-forget about the "elevator" -the first time we tried to put it together one of the green pegs to slip into the slot broke off and rendered it useless. The ropes that are connected to the dance floor rarely stay in the up position even when on a table or flat surface. It is also a finger squisher if your kids are not careful-when you attempt to close the bus up by pressing on the back pink button-the fingers usually take a beating in the process.Yes, the pieces are small-but this is Polly Pocket-the name itself says it all. This is a cute toy-but it is not exactly easy for kids under age 6 or less to put it together and it is a bit on the whimpy side as far as durability is concerned. If you buy this toy for your daughter just be prepared for mom or dad to help out quite a bit.

Not durable at all
We have many of the Jay Jay characters and all are poorly made, very disappointing as our daughter LOVES JJ and playing with them. The paint chipped almost immediately after purchase, the parts fall off, the plastic propeller pieces break off & create choking/cutting hazards.These can't endure the typical 'wear & tear' of the 3yr+ crowd & our daughter has been fairly gentle with them.They don't survive a drop off her play table.I would advise against purchasing these until they are more durable like Thomas pieces.

A Surprise Hit!
My daughter selected this over a year ago from Toys R Us with a gift certificate.I thought it would surely be cast aside quickly since it just sings while flapping its wings.I couldn't convince her of any other neat toys and so she bought it.It has sustained her love and interest and is durable!It's been through a LOT and still works great!She even bathed it in the sink and a new set of batteries made it work again.I am still in awe!

This is awesome!
We saw this out of the box at our local specialty toy shop, my son is eleven, but wants the newly updated big pirate ship, but this boat is HUGE! It would make a great toy for the pool as it floats as well, the animals are great, but we already have most of the playmobil animals, as we have ordered them as "add ons" from the company! This boat is so cool!Playmobil is so terrific, and our three boys have played with it for years, the castles, western forts and pirates. My son takes the ships and boats outside in the summer and floats them in the pool with playmobil guys and his GI joes too. The wheels on the bus.......
Adorable music, lights and sounds from this toy-keeps the kids glued to it for long periods of time.

Time for school!
My three-year-old son loves this school bus.He likes to load the kids on the bus and make the bus driver talk and sing songs.He has learned empathy by helping the little people with disabilities (with the wheelchair) on and off the bus.It is good exposure to the idea that not everyone is the same.However, it was shocking to have to describe that to a, then, two-year-old.One of the first questions he had that I really had to think about the best way to answer.Other good features are the stop sign and two doors that open and close.

One of my kids' favorites
We bought this for our now three year old, who loves it, but is having to get used to sharing it with his 1 year old sister.This toy gets played with often throughout the day - every day, so I definately think it was a good purchase.I like that it it teaching my daughter fine motor skills when she puts the people in their seats.We've had it for almost 2 years now, and it has held up very well, and doesn't show any wear.The music and voice is a little annoying, but my kids love it.I am suprised with the age reccomendation though. ... Not so durable
Once the 2 sides of this case come apart they never stay back together. It looks like it's supposed to snap on and off but the plastic doesn't stay the same after. Not so good for the younger kids that like taking things apart. Also, the way that it shuts isn't so great as it's not reliable.

A lasting toy...
I got my son his first case at age 2 and it survived the terrible 2s.Now at almost age 9 with 2, still, intact cases and a history of 2 other brands (no longer with us)...will purchase more of the Hot Wheel case to replace the overflowing shoe boxes he is now using to store his cars.

A Great Vacation
I was very pleased when I got this toy. It was a blast, it even has a roller coaster that connects to the hotel. It comes with a good amount of trendy stretchy clothes. Playmobil is Great!
We bought our youngest son the pirate ship seven years ago when he was four. He is now eleven, and is asking for this new updated ship. He has played with the old one for years, outside in the pool, inside, along with the big king castle, and countless other sets that we have. Yes, Playmobil. is delicate, and young children can be taught how to play with it, there are alot of small pieces, but like Lego, it will and does encourage a child's imagination, rather than stifle it.We have Castles, western forts, city sets, boats, all of it! It does take time to put together, but some of the best memories are of me and my boys putting together some of these intricate playmobil sets the day after Christmas! When you buy toys for your kids, don't look at a toy and say "what does it do", rather look at a toy and ask "what can my child do with this toy"? Playmobil has been one of the toys that my three boys have stayed with along with legos well past Christmas, much more, than anything else. I am keeping all of our collections for our grandchildren.

Too many little pieces
Bought for three- and five-year old boys. Too many pieces and extra accesories to to keep track of.They were all over the house.It took hours to put the pirate ship together and once it came apart, it couldn't be put back together again.I do not recommend this item.

The most popular toy in our home!
I purchased this pirate ship for my son's fourth birthday. This is by far the most popular toy in our house! My 8 year old son and 6 year old daughter also love this toy. There are so many items that come with the ship - from canon balls, swords, treasure chest full of goodies, food, animals and even jewelery for the pirates - they are never bored. My four year old plays on his own, or with his friends, and when all three are home they all play together. SUPER sweet airport - worth the time!
My 4 year old son received this on this birthday.We all LOVE it!The details are amazing.I really love putting stuff together so I wasn't really intimidated by the MANY pieces.I just took my time.The instructions were really easy.

We've had it for several months and we still have all of the pieces and nothing is broken.Playmobil products are really built to last although, my son is very good with his toys.He gets pretty upset if one gets broken.

I HIGHLY recommend all playmobil products.I searched the web for other products and there is definitely something for every child's interest - boy or girl!

Finaley an Airport
I have been playing with Playmobil since before I can remember.I can not remember not having playmobil around the house. Now that I am older I have small displays around the house.I feel that in the past few years Playmobil has come around.They are making sets that I wished I had when I was a child.I now own every piece of airport that they make.I even own the new RC Tour Bus that just came out.I love the air port.I feel that it is one of the best sets sence the Circus.People say that it takes a long time to assemble.I know for fact that it does not.My 5 year old can have it entirley built in 15 min.This is including the Gate Extensions.It is sturdy and well built.It provides hours of play.I even catch my self playing with it when my son is not around.The set is realistic and has plenty of room for imagination.The only regreat I have about this set is that they took the World Trade center out of the city sky line.Towere made this toy much more of a memorial to 9-11 than with out.I reconmend this toy to any way in the age limit, even to those of you who think that playing with toys is childish.It will bring out qualiteys that you did not know you had.

My 31/2 year old son loves this toy.He also got the playmobile plane and ground crew and plays with all three.My biggest complaints are 1) it took about 5 hours to put together and 2) when my son plays with the elevator and doors, etc. they tend to pop off and I am forever putting it back together.Other than that, he loves to incorporate his new cars into the "game" and pretends that people are driving to the airport.Great game for the imagination! ... my experience w/ playmobil castle
I purchased the large castle for my son (4 yrs. old) last Christmas. We had already owned the small castle #3888 for my 5 yr. old daughter. Yes, it took a long time to construct, but it was worth it. We combined the castles into one, and have since added many other extras. I think why my kids have had such joy with these items is because we set up the castle a couple times a week, and don't leave it out all the time. I store all the pieces in a large plastic tote, along with the people & accessories in a smaller plastic box. By making it special, and not allowing the pieces to get lost, or mixed up with other stuff, my kids are able to focus their play. Playmobil is so well constructed, the company is great. I can't say enough. It is so nice to purchase a toy for my kids that doesn't fall apart, require batteries, and makes noise for them, instead of them using their own imagination. Finally, I would agree that you should stick to the age recommendation. I can see how a child under 4 would be frustrated with this system.

Little ones in the House hide this toy
When me & my 4 year old son saw the King's castle on display we both fell in love with it, the detail and all the accessories were amazing I couldn't wait to buy it for him for Christmas plus I read so many great reviews here about the castle. But it turn out being a nightmare, my son was so excite when he unwrapped it but got upset when he had to wait 3 hours for daddy to put it together (I have to add my husband's comment about the toy "Don't ever buy anything that needs that much assembly again!!!")

After it was all put together we all sat and played with it, the draw bridge was fun and hiding the knight in the tower was exciting to my son, he used a lot of his imagination why I give it 3 stars. But when our 10 months old crawled over and started bash on it the tower fell off in second, which made my 3 yr old cry. The bad part about this toy is it is made to come apart so you can rebuild anyway you want, so it comes apart easily when not handle right!!! Every morning I'd wake up and find castle piece laying all over the floor, my 4 yr old would blame his little brother. And I was Constantly being ask "mom can you put this back together" sometime my son would try to put it back together himself (a 4 year old can't, I'm 30 and had a hard time putting it together) and when he couldn't get it to snap back together he'd cry, I found him Crying over the toy more then having fun!!! After our 3rd son learn to crawl (we had 5yr old, 1yr old & 7 month old in the house) the castle was NEVER in one piece; the walls would be under the bed, the tower in the closet and my 5 yr old lost all interest in it.

If you have an only child it's a perfect gift, you can setup it and teach them to be gentle (which you Have to be with this toy) but when you have 1yr & 7 month old who do Not understand 'be careful with this toy' it Will be destroy it in minutes. I would spend hours finding all the pieces & putting it back together and my 5 yr old would promise not to let the little ones destory it, but the next morning I'd find it all over the floor. And for the price you pay for this castle to see it scatter all over your floor, being step on by your 1yr old can cause you to have heart attack. I got so frusted with the toy so did my son!!! (since it was always in piece and he never got to play with it) I ended up boxing the castle up and put it in my garage and has been sitting in the garage now for 3yrs I'm waiting for all my boys to get old enough to understand you can not beat on this toy.

This toy really is not meant for a group of children under the age of 6 and not for rough boys who like to beat on their toys.

Perfect!!!!!
My daughter LOVES this case! It has 19 loops to "strap" the Polly's into.Even with 19 Polly's there is still PLENTY of space for clothes, shoes, etc.Polly's are little, and so are her stuff.I just put the clothing and shoes into tiny zip-lock baggies and then plop them into the case with the Polly's. Sure, in time I may need to get another case or use something else for all the "stuff", but the case is perfect for the dolls themselves.Like another reviewer said, kids like the cases made specifically for the doll! And this is a good way to teach my daughter how to organize with efficiency! LOL! Two thumbs up and FIVE stars.

Oh, the Polly's fit PERFECTLY in the fisher-price Sweet Streets collection! We just bought the Sweet Streets Family Home and the Polly's LOVE it! LOL! Also, the fisher-price family that comes with the house fit perfectly in the loops of the Polly case!

I plan on buying many more of the fisher-price Sweet Streets collection, and I like knowing that those dolls will fit in the Polly cases.With 19 dolls to a case, my daughter is going to have a BLAST with the Polly's and the fisher-price dolls/town.The more the merrier! And I have the piece of mind knowing that my daughter can just put all the dolls in the case...and not all over my floors!!!! LOL! I wish I was a kid again!!!!!

Pretty yes, functional slightly for sorting dolls not clothing or shoes or the other item that tag along with pollys. They really need to find a better organizational storage for these dolls small parts to market.. I really think the manufactures need to spend some time cleaning up a hugh polly collection mess to appreciate the key to organizing them.Or have the unpleasant experience of a missing shoe and tears streaming. I agree that plastic storage containers are the way to go the nice ones with the drawers in the smaller size are much more functional.
ONLY good thing about this case is: for travel with a small assortment of dolls and fashions. (which you could do with a small purse.
Not worth the cash.

Not really a toy even, but...
...everybody with toys needs storage for them, and my kids seem drawn to cases or containers that are "made" for a specific toy.Trouble is, these options are rarely big enough to fit all of the accessories kids accumulate, so they outgrow them fast and you end up using a big 'ol Rubbermaid container like you should have done in the first place.That said, my daughter does enjoy "organizing" her Polly Pockets in this little case -- it has small elastic loops for holding the dolls -- and as such it's been a good tool for teaching her to put her toys away.That's why I gave it a 3 stars for "educational value". ... One of my son's favorite toys
My son absolutely loves his Imaginext toys.He got his first ones when he was 3 1/2 and is getting more for his fourth birthday.I was very hesitant about getting the sets as others had said that they fall apart very easily.I have not found this to be true.My son carries this to his sister's room without anything coming apart.There are small pieces that could be lost and it does require adult assembly at my son's age.This line of toys is the only thing my son has said that he wants for his birthday.

I recommend this for anyone (just wait till you hear the different voices your child creates for the bad guys and good guys!!!

Fun and Chilling Pirate Setting
Both as a father and as a toy collector I really love the Imaginext toys from Fisher Price, especially the playsets.I find them extremely well-made and detailed nad easy for kids to use.Most of all they are very fun and give kids a real sense of wonder and adventure that is lacking in so many toys today.

The Phantom Island playset is designed for use with their other Pirate themed figures and playsets although it can stand alone on it's own.This spooky playset is two-part island/lagoon and the hideout of Captain Bones and his band of skeleton pirates.There's treasure to be found hidden on the island but you have to get past Captain Bones' devious traps including a spiked pendulum and skeleton cages.Also has a volcano that can be set off.The Set comes with two skeleton pirates and a glow-in-the-dark skeletal boat for travel.The Island's large skull also glows in the dark.

My 2 1/2 year old loves all things scary and just loves playing with this set.Fun and well-made.

COOL!We love the volcano!
We just got this... GREAT.The eldest daughter and I had it together in less than ten minutes (we are the builders) then the other three kids jumped in to work it and play with the features.Now the two older kids (11 girl/12 boy) and I are trying to come up with a combined island with our two Buccaneer Bay sets and some of the other tree pieces from the lost fortress... we want a BIG island to explore.

Fairy Tale Castle Great for Imagination
I am a teacher and frequently use Playmobile products to bring history alive. My students, both boys and girls love to pretend with the Playmobile Fairy Tale castle.

A Little Girls Dream
My daughter has had the Fairy Tale Castle for over two years now and still loves to play with it. I have purchase other add-ons (knights, dragon, horses, waterfall, scenery, etc.) and gave them to my daughter for Birthdays, Easter baskets, and even for doing well in school. Beside the two designs that Playmobil has shown, you can create your own castle. It is sturdy and is an excellent toy for the imagination.

My daughther is 4 years old and loves to play with the castle.
I have not much to add to what previous reviewers said-I mostly concurr. However I wanted to share my experience with putting the castle together: It took 3 adults 2 hours to put it together.
