Editorial Review

Fully equipped for the uber rescue mission, this souped-up spacecraft doubles as a jet and a Rescue Heroes command center. The top of the jet flips open to reveal an electronic screen and an operations deck, where Keytron, a robot, plugs into the control board to relay missions to the team. Included are two tethered backpacks which, as Rescue Heroes fans know, allow the action figures to communicate. What's more, the jet itself transforms into a giant robot, with a deployable space pod as the head and a tank-like tough-terrain vehicle down below. This is a sturdy, sizable toy that those who enjoy Rescue Heroes ought to love, and it contains plenty of moving parts. Also included is a C.D. Moon action figure in a red space suit. --Andy Boynton ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars i love this toy!
hi, im 10 years old and i really like this toy! there are so many diffrent things it can do, it is well worth the money!!! there is a little vehicle thing that a rescue hero can ride on, the front of the ship can be used as a spacepod (the ship is NOT a good flying toy but the space pod is simple to fly),the front and the vehicle can be made into a giant robot, the top can be made into a hang glider, and one of my favorite parts: IT HAS A COMMAND CENTER WHERE THE RESCUE HEROES REALLY INTERACT WITH EACHOTHER!!!! I have two mission select robots with thing i call "backpacks" and their names are matt medic and gil gripper. they are also compatible with the command center. i also have a cool robot called fire stomper and billy blazes. NOTE (the fire stomper comes with billy blazes and neither are compatible with the command center but fire stomper can move in a neat way!) then i have the robot that came with the ship.

in my opinion out of all the people i have billy is the best :)

you may be wondering why a 10 yr old is playing with this but i know a 12 year old and many other 10 and 11 yr. olds with this toy. i don't play with it like let's go put out the fire, or something, i play with it like the robots are attacking and stuff, very fun toy! i totally recommened this toy and these other toys below:

rescue heroes hyper jet
Gil gripper (with mission select backpack)
Matt medic (with mission select backpack)
Billy blazes and fire stomper
rescue heroes mission car
geotrax Tracktown Railway
geotrax Fire station
geotrax remote controlled fire truck
spiderman and friends super hero playset
spiderman and friends wolverine with motorcycle
imaginex castle (and alot of knights...i have like 20)
imaginex dragon
imaginex deluxe pirate ship
imaginex ghost raider
imaginex glow in the dark shark
animal planets big bucket o' dinosaurs

they aren't exact names but they are some of the alot toys i have here at home. I reccomend them ALL!!!!!!!

2-0 out of 5 stars very disapointed
This was the only toy my son requested from Santa and what a letdown. I think that Fisher Proce rushed it for the holiday season because it does not compare to the quality of the other toys. It falls apart and really does not do much for the size or promise of the ads. I hate this hunk of junk that now takes up a lot of space and I have learned my lesson for next year.

4-0 out of 5 stars To Collette
I thought my console didnt work at first, too.It turned out I just needed to switch the on/off button which is annoyingly hidden behind one of the 2 attached backpacks (the one on the right). ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Must have for Scooby Doo fans!
The mystery machine may be made of plastic, but it is pretty sturdy. My 4 year old son can vouch for that! He absolutely loves this van! The back of the van flips open so you can trap the 2 glow in the dark monsters in the cage, and it has a door that can lock them in! My son loves it that he got his 2 favorite characters (Scooby Doo and Shaggy) with this van. The front doors of the van open so the characters can go inside. This is a wonderful toy for any scooby doo fan!

2-0 out of 5 stars Disappointed in toy
Although my son loves the Mystery Machine, it is made of CHEAP, CHEAP, plastic.Shaggy's arms keep falling off, the scooter is already broken, and the ghose cage is always coming apart. If I had known it was going to be like this, I would have never ordered the van.

5-0 out of 5 stars Alans scooby
My 2 year old son got this toy for christmas and he loves it. He has not put this toy down. My 3 year old daughter loves it as well, so much Im going to order her one as well. Out of all the toys they both got this one seems to be the top pick for both. My son has really put this toy through the test, it is very sturdy. We think it is great!!!! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Wanna keep your kids entertained??
My Goodness! We started with such a small little Geotrax set and look at what we wound up with!!My 3 year old got a small set right before his birthday and played with it quite a bit. Then he got MORE for his birthday...and NOW, it is the first thing he plays with when he wakes up and the last thing he play with when he goes to bed!The airport set is probably his favorite by far!But he and his big sister LOVE to take it apart and make new creations with all the tracks and play with the battery operated train, fly the airplane, load cargo, you name it!They really use their imagination and work together with all this stuff!

The only downside is I had to buy a REALLY big tub to put it all in when we don't want to look at it all!The control center, construction set, airplane set and all take up quite a bit of room and there are times when we want it just "put away" for a while. But that's the only bad thing I can say about it...this stuff is just COOL!

I recommend this for ANY kid, probably ages 2 and up.I bought a set for my 2 year old nephew in March and my sister says he LOVES it.If your kids like planes, trains, and automobiles, this is the toy for him!

5-0 out of 5 stars Another great addition to our geotrax set-up
This is a fun addition to the system.Set up time is less than 2 minutes. My girls love it.The only problem is the fight that sometimes happens over who gets to fly the plane.

5-0 out of 5 stars To infinite and beyooooond !!!!
To wait for new Geo Trax series... some months.

To deliver it at home... less than a week.

To assemble it ... half hour.

To see the happiest face from my child, when he saw the plane flying... Priceless...... 10 Stars !!! ... Read more

The Sonic Speedracer Raceway brings the excitement of high-speed racing and car stunts to the preschool set. Packed into a sturdy plastic play set with a carry handle, the raceway unfolds into a large figure-eight race track, complete with a winner's circle, service pit, and a variety of accessories that add a nice realistic touch. The entire set is oversized and simple to use. At first, preschoolers may want to just push the two include race cars around the track. But with a little practice--and maybe a little help from mom and dad--they should have no difficulty revving up the self-powered race cars so that they can perform stunt jumps across the tracks. Adult assembly is required, but no batteries are required for operation. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Quite Possibly the best toy we ever bought!
We got this race track for our sons (17 months and 3) for Christmas. They learned how to work it themselves very quickly. It's now May and they still play with it almost every day!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Great fun for parents too!
My 2 1/2 yr old daughter had to have this after playing with it at her cousins house. She loves this toy. She is such a girly girl that we would have never guessed she would like a racecar set. Does not need batteries, you just put the stickers on and a few other pieces and let your child have fun! She loves to play with it with her dad! Very sturdy, folds up and has a little handle to carry it around. The onlynegative is it is pretty large even though it folds up.

5-0 out of 5 stars I love this set it is wayyyyy cooler than slimecano.
I realy love this play set. It has a launcher, a swamp beast that trys to knock the cars out of the track and, a hyperpod vehicle that is used to defeat the swamp beast. On this playset the car has to keep going around the track until the way to the swamp beast is open. when its open the car goes to the hyperpod vehicle then the hypervod vehicle goes defeat the swamp beast. You have only 30 seconds to defeat him. each time you defeat him he takes out 2 seconds off your time and when you lose he puts 2 more seconds. Buy 2 alkaline batteries they work the best on this set. thats what it said on the box of the set. I think this set is very cool because

1. It has a very fast launcher.
2. I like the hypervod vehicle
3.you have to keep going around the track and watch out for the swamp beast's arms they will knock the car out the track.

4. you can connect other sets into it if you like.
5. You have 30 seconds to defeat the swamp beast.
6.I like how the track is designed.
7.It is very durable.
8.It is very fun trying to defeat the swamp beast.
9. I like the phrases the swamp beast says.
10. you can push the switch down so the car can go to other places on the track.
I don't realy like slimecano it is very messy because of the slime.

5-0 out of 5 stars THE SWAMP BEAST PLAYSET IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love this playset. On the playset theres one booster a swamp beast with two arms trying to hit the car out of the track and you have 30 seconds to defeat him. Each time you defeat him he takes away 2 seconds and when you lose he puts 2 more seconds. I would recommend this item to anyone who likes hotwheels playsets

4-0 out of 5 stars Way cooler than Slimecano!!!
We returned the Slimecano (see the 1-star rating it got) and bought this as a replacement for our 5-year old son. This is the Hot Wheels I remember! Plastic, snap-together tracks, motorized accelerators for propulsion, fast, high-banked turns. This product actually works the way it portrays on the box. The beast's arms really go up and down and sometimes knock the car off the track. The beast's voice is neat, it sounds like a swamp beast should (think Pirate's "argh!"). I really like the timer on it, you only have 30 seconds to "defeat the beast" which means complete enough laps to trigger the upper loop diverter so your car goes on the inner track, hitting the "hyper pod attack vehicle" which provides the car with enough mass to knock the trigger and causing the head to pop off. If you win the beast knocks 2 seconds off your time (lose and add 2) and starts another round. The victory sound effects are pretty cool, too. All in all I like this toy, it's definitely worth the $24 we paid for it. ... Read more

The worlds of toy racetracks and haunted houses have never exactly begged to be placed together but it's an interesting and highly entertaining match in this unique set from Matchbox. Part of the ever-expanding "Hero City" line, the haunted house features various secret traps and tricks such as a skeleton that launches cars with a good shove, a "Bones and Moans Bridge" full of scary sounds, and various other classic spooky bits. One car is included although the two required AA batteries are not. Classic racetrack fans will likely not be overly impressed by this simple and fairly corny setup but it's not really meant for the aficionado, rather for the younger children who love a gentle scare and an unlimited supply of trips through a haunted house. --Charlie Williams ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Favorite Toy
This is one of my 4yr old son's favorite toys.Need I say more? The toy is all one piece that is what mom likes about it:)

3-0 out of 5 stars Fun except when the Van is Stuck
Like others, I bought this toy b/c it resembles the Mystery Machine and my child loves Scooby & haunted houses. A great design overall with cute action & sounds...BUT almost every time the van goes through one of the turns, it gets lodged inside. You have to get it out with a hand or shake the toy to get it rolling again. If it didn't have the one catching place, it would go smoothly. This had an initial great 'wow' factor and my child was most excited opening it out of all their Christmas gifts, but soon tired of the van constantly getting stuck inside.

5-0 out of 5 stars Destined To Become A Classic
I'm a "Grown-Up" Toy and Game Enthusiast, and I can tell You with much confidence that this Playset is Destined to Become a Classic. It's simple, yet complex enough to keep anybody's attention... both Young and Old.It's made of the durable kind of plastic, not the cheap stuff that tends to crack or break if You sneeze too hard. The sound effects are right on target... not too loud, not too soft, and definitely not distorted. Some assembly is required, but it's very minimal and not a big deal... the only Hard part is unattaching it from the inside of the box... so take Your time with that part, as to not accidentally damage anything.Bottom line, this Playset is definitely worth Your hard earned Pasos. :) ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great value and fun
We purchased this for our 2 1/2 year old son because we couldn't get him away from the one set up in the Toys 'R Us store. He loves it!He really likes Thomas the Train, but this set is less expensive and just as nice.I like that we can use it with the Thomas pieces, if we ever decide to.I don't know what an earlier reviewer meant that pieces were missing, ours came just as pictured. The all wood construction makes this a durable toy (better than some of the plastic ones). It is definitely worth the money.

5-0 out of 5 stars Son's favorite toy!
My 2-1/2 year old son just received this the other day as a gift.He couldn't wait for the packaging to be opened. He played with it immediately and wouldn't stop. All five cars stayed with him through dinner and bedtime. He even wanted to take them to the sitter's house.

I was impressed with the construction of the system. It is easy enough to put together. There is a diagram to put the tracks together like the picture. They have stayed in place on our rug while he plays and the 80-lb. dog walks over it, so I am not sure what the other reviewer meant about the tracks coming apart. One of the features that I liked about the tracks was that they are grooved on both sides, so they can be flipped to create opposite curves.

I kept the tiny construction pieces - cones, boulders, pipes in their original bags till my son gets older. He is having enough fun just playing with the trains.I also liked the fact that it is three magnet connective train parts and two separate trucks - the best of both worlds: trains and trucks!

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Train Set!!!
This is a great train set!!My 4 children play with this set just about every day.The price is great also (especially compared to the Thomas The Tank sets). One thing I will say, make sure you keep the instructions.Without them, you will have a hard time putting the train tracks back together each time.I keep our instructions put up in a cabinet so they don't get lost. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Not enough curved pieces
The tracks are great although with just this set one can not make a complete track - you have to buy more sets to do that.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very Durable!
I have two extremely active boys that play with these train sets.We have some of the name brand sets and a LOT of the Imaginarium sets, the only peices we have had to break (splinter) are the name brand peices. They are well worth the money!

The only problem I have is the tressel bridge, which doesn't seem to stand up to very active play--mind you though that my boys are extremely active! The bridge just keeps falling down during play.

5-0 out of 5 stars Delicate - Not for average boys
It was a lot of fun. However, the wood quality is not as good as the Thomas series. It is easier to break (after only one day, as oppose to 6 months or so of Thomas series we owned), and I do not know if Imaginarium carries lifetime warranty. They do not have their own website. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars DANGEROUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Do not buy this toy. I completely agree with all the reviews about the finger trap. My son has gotten his finger stuck many times. If the car does not go in correctly the head will not turn. My son has been using the tv remote to get it to work correctly. Matchbox should recall these. This is NOT a good toy for any age.

My son loves this toy.He has not "trapped" his finger in the skull like I have read in other reviews.I can see how it could happen though. It only has two removable parts, so less to lose.He can put the pieces together himself and uses the playmat even more than the toy itself. We have a lot of these car playsets and this one is one of the best.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great toy, good value
unlike everyone else it seems i have no problems with the mountain working at all. i just assembled the set this evening for my 2 year old and he was so delighted with the explosion, his response each time was oh boy! i used radio shack alkaline batteries my sons set needed no special batteries.Assembly also was simple it took less than 10 minutes even though there wasn't any instructions with the set except for the rock quarry battery assembly. i didn't read any of these reviews first and i'm glad i didn't or else i probably wouldn't have purchased it. i'm so glad i did my son is soooo excited with it. i'm sorry so many of yours didn't work it's really a shame it really is a great toy and a good value.

3-0 out of 5 stars Rock Quarry Did Not Work
I recently purchased the Rock Quarry set for my 2.5 year old son. I am upset that on December 23rd we did a test to see if everything worked, and sure enough the Rock Blaster does not.

I will try the different batteries and we will see.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great train set but not 100%
My 3.5 year old son just recieved this set from his grandprents this weekend and he absolutely loves it! He has been asking for a set for quite some time. The first day he spent 5 hours straight playing with it and has been playing with it daily since. So this is definately a winner for him.

My son seems to love everything about this train set but the reason I will not give it 5 stars is that it took me about an hour to put the set together because the one-page sheet of directions are incorrect and the image on the box/packaging displays an incorrect set up, which I didn't know of course until I figurd out how the set was to be properly assembled. The set comes with one too many pieces, which it is OK to have a spare piece but rather annoying when you are trying to put the set together.

I love the over all quality of the set as the trains, dump truck, crane, and accessories are solid and durable BUT the crane has given us some trouble due to the design of the arm. The arm is made of two pieces of molded palstic with a seam up the middle and with a little piece of thread that is used to raise and lower the little claw scouper. My son pulls on the thread verses using the knob because it is a bit awkward to wind/unwind, even with his little fingers so he can pick up the rocks with the scouper to put them into the train or on to the mountain. The thread keeps pulling up between the molded pieces of plastic in the crane arm which causes the thread to get caught. I am careful when I pull the thread back out but Ifear with this continuously happening the thread will eventually fray and break. The thread has also come untied from the scouper so Ihad abit of a struggle to slide the thread back through and tie it on.

I did not have any trouble with the brand of batteries being used, as I read in other reviews. I am using Energizer batteries and they are working fine. My son really enjoys "blasting" the rocks down.

All-in-all I think this is a great train set and my son absolutely loves it BUT I strongly suggest the manufacturer edit the directions and illustrations properly, shoot a new image for the packaging with the train set displayed correctly, and I suggest their R & D dept look at the design and functionality of the crane arm. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars A well made case for the wooden figures!
I got this case for my 2 2/1 yr old son for Christmas. He loves it because the Jay Jay wooden figures can be put in one special place. It seems to be well made. It has dividers in it, but they are also velcroed, so you can lower dividers to make a larger holding spot. I needed that for Big Jake to fit into the carry case. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Half road-construction project, half skateboard park, this curious toy features an unfinished highway in the shape of a halfpipe. Two windup cars, Police Car and Street Racer, chase each other around the track with the press of an activation button. A jump propels the cars over a missing section of road, while a roadblock net helps the cops capture the Racer. All in all, it seems like trouble waiting to happen. There's also an "underground tunnel"--in the center of the track, below street level--for the cars to whip through. A carrying handle helps you take the track with you, and its ends fold up for easier transport, but the toy does take up a lot of room. There are storage cubbies for the two cars, and their chassis are interchangeable. No batteries are required. --Andy Boynton ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Not nearly as good as the Maximum Thrills Raceway
This toy is more expensive, more complicated and more difficult to operate than the Speedstars Maximum Thrills Raceway toy which is priced at less than half of what this toy costs. The police car rarely makes it around the track more than once before crashing which then makes the race car crash. Also, you have to set the cars in their starting positions, push the buttons on the top of the cars and then release the lever - way too many steps for a preschooler who only wants to see the cars go.Save your money and get the Maximum Thrills Raceway!

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome toy!!pretty darn fun for under 40 bucks
I don't know about some of the negative reviews on this product. It is extremely durable and the cars are great. It makes me wonder if the track was put together properly by the parents. The cars do "jump the track" if you try and run them without their bodies on (they are removable and interchangeable from chassis to chassis). Also, I tried to run the cars without the guardrail installed and this also caused them to jump and flip off the track (I like to try all of the things that a curious 2 year old might try). The review about the wheels burning you is a feasible problem but I have not run into it...yet.

It was a Santa present for my 21 month old son, and though he couldn't wind the cars up by himself then, he sure loved watching them chase each other! Now he's 2 and he still gets a kick out of it at least a couple of times a week, and he's grasping the concept and winds the cars and goes through the whole process to get things moving.I love that you don't need batteries and that you can use the cars off the track (on level floors and even a short nap carpet).I would like to find more add-on's and cars to bring a little of the excitement back to it.We all have fun with it, my ten year old daughter included.

Pros:

NO BATTERIES NEEDED
Good learning tool (teaches them that there are steps to making it work/go)
Cars go super fast!
Fun, fun, fun for the first week or two (he still loves playing with the cars though)
Great durability
Cars are flashy and exaggerated
Sturdy (Seems like it's made very well)
Pretty easy to set up
Pretty good instructions included
The bodies can be switched between the two cars for different looks
Once it's set up you never have to worry about setting it up again, just open and go
Hearing your kid squeal as the cars chase each other
The "chase" car is a Trans-Am with a blower
There's more, but they slip my mind right now...

Cons:

Once it's put together it's a little large to store if you don't have much space (it fits under the bed though)
It's a little loud
Fun, fun, fun for the first week or two
The track is a little small and uneventful (too bulky for storage, too small for years of fun)
The "outlaw" car is an import looks like a Toyota Supra (I can't help it I love American muscle!!)

3-0 out of 5 stars BE CAREFUL WITH THE WHEELS
THE MAIN REASON FOR MY REVIEW IS TO LET THE PARENTS BECOME AWARE THAT ONCE THE CARS ARE WOUND UP THE WHEELS CAN REALLY BURN YOUR CHILD IF HE/SHE PICKS IT UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RACE. I DON'T CARE THE AGE RANGE, I WAS CAUGHT OFF GUARD AND GOT A BAD BURN ON MY WRIST.
SO BE CAREFUL AND EXPLAIN TO YOUR CHILD NOT TO GRAB THE CAR ONCE ITS CHARGED UP THE BACK WHEELS CONTINUE TO GO AND YOU COULD GET HURT. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Don't BUMP INTO THIS during naptime!! It's loud!
I haven't figured out how to turn it OFF except to remove the batteries. At the lightest touch, nudge, or bump, the sound effects go off. VERY loud engine racing sounds. Which sucks when you're trying to pick up toys during naptime. It doesn't really do anything except just let two cars go down these spiral tracks. I think it would be good in a play area, like at a doctors office or something (except for the noise) where the kids would be playing with it for only 30 min or so. The novelty wears off quickly, then it's just a toy in the way. Most Matchbox sized cars do fit on the tracks so you can lose the two cars that come with it and use other cars.

2-0 out of 5 stars This is fun?
What a boring toy.

Here you have a sturdy dual twisting set of ramps. The slightest touch sets off an irritating electronic noise (presumably of race cars whizzing past) that you cannot turn off (Fisher-Price seems to have a thing against on-off switches on its toys).

Placing two plastic race cars at the top of the ramps and starting them sends them spiraling downward at a rapid pace with the said noise reverberating around your eardrums. If your child is playing with this on a carpet, the cars roll ahead about 4 inches; if he/she is playing on a hard floor, they roll a whopping 8 inches forward. If you are not careful, the lightweight cars will end up underneath the sofa or TV stand, making them impossible to find again.

Doesn't this sound exciting?

I tried very hard to get my son interested in this playset.I set up the cars, "revved" the engines, and asked him to race my car.

He ignored me and continued playing with his Mega Blocks.

On the rare times he paid attention to this dud, he would try and race his Matchbox and Hot Wheels cars down the ramps, but they were too large.Only the two cars that come with this set work.

Most of the time, this toy sits in his playroom unused. It is marked for the garage sale pile this spring.

3-0 out of 5 stars A little disappointed.
I bought this toy from a resale shop and am a little disappointed. My son loves this toy and it does keep him entertained. However, the two cars that come with it are the only ones that really go down the ramps well.My son constantly tries to get his Matchbox or Hot Wheels cars to go down them. They don't.I wish Fisher Price could have made it so that these types would also work.It would have made my son and me lot happier and more satisfied. He is easily frustrated because they get stuck more often than not.It is a very durable toy that has endured a lot of rough play.A great concept. ... Editorial Review

The sporty, convenient, and efficient Mini Cooper car has gained a reputation for its friendly design and versatility. Those same elements now transfer to the realm of toys thanks to this clever two-cars-in-one set. Out of the box, it's a standard large model of a big red Mini, fully functional with rolling wheels and realistic detailing. But the larger car can be opened up to reveal a whole network of tiny racetracks, featuring two different levels of play. The lower track allows one car at a time to practice for the big race while the upper track facilitates the two included cars (one red, one blue) in a race. The cars can be moved into place by use of a magnetic lift. The track is probably wide enough to fit many but not all Matchbox-style cars. --Charlie Williams ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars mini cooper's race city
My son Jordan received this toy as a Christmas present from his grandmother. He plays with it every day and takes it every where he goes.

3-0 out of 5 stars A MINI with a suprise!

4-0 out of 5 stars Good
We purchased this case for our son, for him to take on a family vacation. It's good to carry the matchbox cars. It's not too heavy and easy for a child to open. The plastic casing inside holds different size cars. It's good for the money.

4-0 out of 5 stars Nice case, but not real durable
This case is a good first case for your little one. However, it's not very tough so it can be damaged very easily. And by ALL means, be sure to keep those removable trays inside the box.My husband stepped on one and punctured his foot!It holds 24 cars but the slots are different sizes for the different cars which is nice too.The sides are split already on ours and we've had it for only 7 months. It doesn't keep the cars from moving around once it is picked up and they completely are messed up and need reorganized if it is moved via the handle. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Fun, Fun, Fun!
My son received this as a gift for his second birthday, and he LOVES it.He likes cars and trucks of all kinds, but this is by far his favorite; he is happy to sit and play with it for 20 minutes (or more), which is an eternity for a 2-year-old.

We like it because it has 3 volume levels, plus an "off" setting, and even the loudest level isn't obnoxious. If your little toe touches that garage, it's bound to set off one of the noises, but the sound effects are fun and endurable, even after the millionth hearing.

In spite of its sound effects and movable elevator, this isn't a high-tech toy that plays itself while the child watches.I really like this garage because it encourages pretend play, and when my son is a little older, he'll be able to adjust the ramps himself in various formations. For now, it's fun to watch him start to predict where the cars will go when they slide down ramps, or in and out of the elevator.I wish there were more ramps and ways to configure them, but for a toddler, it's plenty of variety.

We also got the Mega Blocks Fast Track toy (which is nice because we can use some of those ramps and supports to add to the garage), and the Mega Blocks Farm. Both of these are fun, but the garage is the clear favorite in our house.

The set very sturdy and durable, too, even though it gets dragged onto the couch and table and into various rooms.Another big bonus is that it doesn't come with tons of small removable pieces that end up adding to the clutter because you can't remember what pieces go with which toy.I am so happy when I find toys he loves that don't require extensive clean-up or inspire migraines after their use.

I would recommend this toy for cars & trucks afficionados--lots of fun!

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun toy for my 16 month old
My son already has the Mega Bloks wagon so we wanted to get him something he could build upon.He loves to send the car up and down the ramp.I like how it has 3 different sound settings for volume so if it's too loud we can turn it down.My husband likes to move the ramp all around and make the car jump off of it.

4-0 out of 5 stars HOLD ON TO YOUR HATS!
We couldn't WAIT to take this toy out of the package! We already own the Fast Tracks toy from Mega Blocks which also has ramps and such - so naturally since we had so much fun with the first one we had to tear into the second! There are so many fun interative elements to this toy - the elevator makes noise as you lift it up, the elevator car-floor spins, and then lifts so you can dump your trucks down the ramp.It also makes fun noises while you lift and lower the elevator. The garage door opens and makes noise as well - it's fun to "park" your truck in the garage. The car wash section makes fun bubbly noises and then a noise that sounds like the dryer that you drive through at the real car wash. When you drive your truck into the elevator, it even makes the classic "ding ding.... ding ding" when you drive up the ramp. The only down side to this toy as with the Fast Tracks toy - is that there just aren't enough ramps. You can only build one full size ramp that goes from the top of the toy to the floor --- major bummer in my book.My son is learning how to lift gently to make the elevator go up, how to spin the elevator car-floor, how to build the cars, how to build the ramps - and he's doing it all by himself - but mommy just HAS to get in there too because it's really a fun toy.Even after he's gone to bed and I'm cleaning up toys, I find myself running the cars down the ramps as I clean!FUN FUN FUN!!!! ...
