4-0 out of 5 stars Classic Intellivision gameplay on a new console!
Many of the reviewers have given this bad reviews because it lacks some of the more popular titles, such as the AD&D games (Treasure of Tarmin, Cloudy Mountain), and the TRON titles (3 were released for the original Intellivision). The fact is that the Intellivision group does NOT own the copyrights to these games anymore, thus, the reason they are missing. Overall, a huge collection of Intellivision games on one disc; most of the games are playable on the Playstation 2 controller (and there are some "workarounds", such as using the right analog stick or pressing the "select" button to bring up the original Intellivision keypad). Some games are still frustrating because of the original versions dependence on the original Intellivision controller, such as Major League Baseball, but overall I would recommend this collection, both for its faithful adaption of the original games ported to a current generation game console, and for the sheer number of games present. It is also nice to play some demo and playable versions of never-released games. There are plenty of younger kid friendly games on this disc, too, such as Frog Bog, Word Fun, Math Fun, Pinball, etc. Some elusive game titles are now playable for the first time for me, and I am an original Intellivision owner that still has over 50+ games, the Intellivoice, etc. Also note: the reason that there are not any Imagic third party titles is because Activision owns the Imagic game library (Activision bought the rights when Imagic folded in the mid-1980s). If you want a few of these titles, I would recommend the PS2 Activision Classics game.

1-0 out of 5 stars Intellivision does not live!
Being a kid in the heyday of Intellivision and its Intellivoice add on I was revved up to get all my favorite "old school" Intellivision games on one disk....taht was until I tried to play it...almost all of the games do not work with the playstation controller...do they really expect you to pause the game try to figure out the keypad with a corresponding move then un pause and try to do whatever move you wanted to do in the first place...Do not buy this game...Also they should have put the Tron games on it anyway....the only game worth playing on this disk is Astrosmash and thats a no brainer...just move and shoot....The should have let it die instead of ruin its legacy

5-0 out of 5 stars Thanks for the memories
A wonderful collection of retro games from a era gone by.The graphics are classics and selection expansive. An adjustment is required to get use to the new style of controls, hope someone comes out with the classic disc/keypad controller!Although some colors and sounds aren't exactly authentic, the bonus material make up for it.A very high value collection for those who experienced the original. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Great Classic
This game has to be one of the better nostalgic wrestling games i have played. Sure Stone Cold isn't in the game but come on he is not a "Legend". The graphics are a bit rough at times, but this is a must have for an old school wrestling fan.

5-0 out of 5 stars Better then shut your mouth
This is alot better then shut ur mouth game because the graphics,
the grappling looks like the person is realy touching the person, in shut ur mouth the wrestler fingers go right through the person. It is also better because this game has alot more wrestlers. It is pretty cool because the legends look sort of look like super man, and the hulk. (Muscle whys)Anyone who dosen't like wwe shut ur mouth should get this game.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great game but its missing some people
This game is great, especially the ladder and cage matches which are my personal favorites. There are many legends here such as the obvious ones like Hulk Hogan, Roddy Piper and Andre The Giant. Some other ones are Rocky Johnson(The Rocks dad), LOD, the Nasty Boys, Tony Atlas, Bruno Samartino, the Von Erich family and Sid Viscous plus many more that I cant even remember. Although most of the legends are included, many are missing and some that are on the game shouldnt be here. Take Eddie Guerrero for example, yea hes a great wrestler but hes not a legend YET and could have easily been replaced with Shawn Michaels, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, Ultimate Warrior, Mr Perfect, or Dusty Rodes. Also, for the life of me I cant figure out why they didnt include Ric Flair in this game, i mean come on, hes just as good as Hogan and has won more world titles than anyone..but besides the lack of some of the all time greats, the gameplay is awesome, theres great moves, and all sorts of matches that add to the excitement. Overall, this is one of the best wrestling games ever made and will provide many hours of entertainment. WOOOOOH!!!!! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars A lot fo fun
If you like the card game you will love this game. It is actually much easier than the card game because it keeps track of all the power levels etc. I got this for my 6 year old son for Christmas. I enjoy playing this with him. You can play in story mode and go on quests with different characters or play in arcade mode. Some of the characters you run up agaiinst are chalenging but not too hard. Very well done.

5-0 out of 5 stars NCAA Football 2004

Despite the fact that I yet to not obtain this urgeful game, NCAA Football 2004, I have been vigorously searching for reviews and guides (one from ign.com). Anyways, here are some things I like about the game:

1. Capability to create your own schedule hence constructing your own schedule strength, conference competitors, and more. As in ign.com, it gives you the capability to enable you to go for an undefeated season in a weak and low-ranking Conference, try to reach the Top 25 by posting a hard opponent such as Oklahoma, USC, or Ohio State.
2. Lets you create your own team as well as your own prospect.
I do not want to waste your time reading other people's reivews.

5-0 out of 5 stars NCAA Football is DA BOMB
now, if u like college football than u will love this game! there are lots of different juke moves, dives, passes, etc. that u can preform! graphics are good, season mode is exciting, and there are over 50 different teams to choose from. you can customize your own teams and players, and the good thing is that you can choose how each player is dressed and how each stadium is set up! you have SOOOOOOOOOOOO much to choose from! i was just SOOOOOO amazed at how good this game was! you have to go get a copy of the game yourself right now or you wont get the pleasure of playing and owning one of the best NCAA games ever!

(p.s. DONT LISTEN TO ALL OF THE HATERS!!!!!!!!!!) IM WARNING YOU!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great game, now my nitpicks

I gave this game 5 stars. If I could only play one video game for the rest of my life, this would be it.

That out of the way, here are a couple nitpicks.

Classic Teams:
Where is #3 for the 1977 Fighting Irish? (That would be Joe Montana. The game's starting QB is #12. Am I to assume that that is Joe?

The Army teams of '45 and '46. The outstanding backfield, Mr. Inside and Mr. Outside. I have photos that show they are numbers 41 and 35 and the QB is number 17. None of the players are those numbers. Now, the starters have outstanding attributes, so are they the three players in question? The '45 team's attributes don't look as good as '46.

1992 Notre Dame. Where is Reggie Brooks? The guy averaged 8+ yards per carry. There is no one, even with the wrong number, that appears to be him. They have #4 Lee Becton and #6 Jerome Bettis, but where is #40, or at least a player who would fit Brooks profile?

I have the biggest problem with my latter example, because at least the '46 Army team has 3 great players, even if they are the wrong numbers.

Those are just a couple of examples. The Four Horseman team of 1924 doesn't quite look right and wasn't Tony Dorsett, #33 on the 1976 Pitt Panthers? I'm sure there are other examples, but I can't find old team rosters with player numbers for most of the teams.

My other nitpick is that there should be a playoff mode option. Maybe I don't want to play an entire season and want to create a 16 or 32 team playoff alignment, where I can include whatever teams I choose.

I hope the 2005 game got these right.

5-0 out of 5 stars Mark Davis Pro Bass Challenge
I do very much enjoy playing this game.Me and a friend of mine played it until the end and had fun doing so.I defiantly would recomend this game.I also own Reel Fishing III which I just recently purchased and I would say that Mark Davis is better.I also just purchased the Rapala Pro Fishing and it is okay, i was able to solve it in easy mode within a couple days but when you play in normal mode it is a little harder as you cannot use the easy cast feature.I see there are other fishing games out for the PS2 but I have only found the three I mentioned so far.My goal is to buy them all, I think I will need to go to a used game store to find the others though.Buy this game and you will enjoy it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Husbands hogging the Playstation 2!
I purchased this game for my husband who is an avid bass fisherman. So far the only problem I can find in this game is he stays on it and won't give me any play time. This bass game isn't for someone who just wants to play fisherman. It's for the person who wants to fish like the big boys. You drive the boat, pick your spots and lures and try your best to get the "Shadow's" (17 to 20 lb granddaddy's) to hit. It's not easy, but it's worth the price. Maybe when the weather warms up and it's time to hit the great outdoors, I'll get some play time, I don't see it until then.

3-0 out of 5 stars Great Game....Great Price.

3-0 out of 5 stars Fun but boring after a while
When i first got this game i was addicted to it!! It was so much fun and also challenging at times. But after time i saw myself beating every player 6-0 6-0. There is no difference in playing the woman ranked 20th then the top seed so it makes for a not much fun game! I recently got Smash Court Tennis 2 and its great and very realistic!

4-0 out of 5 stars Very Underrated Game
Yes, this game is not perfect, but do not listen to all the people who say that it is awful.I have played virtually all of the tennis games out there:Sega Sprots Tennis, Topspin, Smash Court Tennis, etc.And this is my favorite.Unlike the other games, when you simply press a button at any time and your player hits a great shot, this game actually requires skill.People who say that all you can do is pop the ball up have simply not mastered the timing.Dont freak out when I say this,it is not that hard to learn. When you do you can hit some amazing shots. Tactics are also very important in this game unlike the others, and you can play a variety of game styles. The graphics are nothing to rave about but they are ok.When you get good at this game the computer is too easy to beat even on "very hard".The sound is by far the best of any tennis game.Monica Seles' grunt is perfect!Overall this game has a few flaws but is great fun and definetly underrated by people who think it is awful. Also just a note:Topspin is not that great. It is very one dimensional. Not much variety.Your player tendsto bolt in the opposite direction just before you hit the ball. The graphics are amazing but the gameplay is very mediocre and can be very frustrating.Try WTA Tour Tennis, it is the funnest tennis game out there.

3-0 out of 5 stars It's okay...
I bought this game first, when it first came out.It was okay, but I didn't really enjoy it.There are a lot of different controls you have to remember, which I didn't like. The one thing I liked was the different players it has on it.If you want a tennis game that out does all the tennis games out there, you have to play Sega Sports Tennis! It's so easy to play and so much more fun!!I sold WTA as soon as I played Sega Sports Tennis... it was a lot more fun!:) ... 5-0 out of 5 stars A video game where a child can create something
I bought this as a Christmas present for my five year old daughter. She usually has to watch her older brothers play video games and is left out.She is artistic but obviously likes games as much as any kid.So Magic Pengel looked promising.

She loves it and the older boys like it as well (9 y.o.).It is quite something to draw something and see it come to life, walking around, throwing things, jumping, dancing etc.It doesn't really matter how well you draw - although nicer drawings usually make cooler (not necessarily better) doodles.

And I'll admit it - I've drawn a fair number of doodles myself - including a crab with spinning eyes and a trident, a mean robot named Bud and a yellow belt karate dude.Your imagination is the limit.

The combat system is simple definitely requires a little thinking - another plus - not just jamming the x button over and over.

Could it be better - of course!Load times are a bit of a drag - you eventually top out and can't go much farther - and the doodles don't do anything outside of the arena. So what? There is nothing else like it that I've seen where you can put a little bit of yourself into it and onto the screen.I hope there is an improved sequel.Till then, try it out and use your IMAGINATION.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun Game, Terrible storyline.
This game is extremely entertaining. It has a battle style that resembles a pretty even mix between pokemon stadium and dokapon. I was surprised to find this on sale here, as I was under the impression that it was completely out of print. Ignore the stupid Title and cover designed for a five-year-old, this game is great for anyone with hands.

5-0 out of 5 stars The kind of game where your youngest can compete
Someone said this game had no adventure ... Zoe's father has been imprisoned, possibly executed, nobody knows except a stranger who shows up thinking he may have buried Galileo, and who later proves to have some remarkable powers, there's a little girl who defies the tyrrant in the castle, openly, an undercurrent of grassroots resistance, and many questions unanswered.

And you, the innocent outsider who just came to the village to do a bit of doodle duelling, you're not only smack in the middle of it, it might all be resting in your hands.

My 4-year-old told me all that, based on what he and his 6 year old brother could read -- the only downside of this game for the very young is that not all of the conversations have been translated into sound-speech, so while they soon learn how to navigate, there are some gaps in their understanding when they can only pick out a few words (but they have fun trying).Apart from that, since we got Magic Pengel, nobody has wanted to play PacMan World 2 or Scooby-Doo ;) ... 5-0 out of 5 stars YES YES YES THIS IS A REAL FUN FOOTBALL GAME
Man is this a game or what. You have to get this game there are no penelties, if you don't like a game with alot of penelties. You can do so many things after the whistle is blown. This is a fun hard hitting game that the whole family can love [my family does]and that's the hard down truth. Thank you amazon from Maryland I'm out baby.

5-0 out of 5 stars the best!
NFL Blitz Pro has gotta be the best football game out there. It's more like Madden than the other Blitz games, but much much better than any Madden game. There are no rules, so you can bash up your opponents at any time you want! There are a bunch of cool, rough, and funny tackles. You can now celebrate with the ball during play using the right analog stick! Also, after touchdowns, there are a ton of funny gloating celebrations that the computer controls. The commentary is hilarious! This game is so much more exciting than Madden. Lots of good running and passing (as well as defensive) plays to choose from. Computer AI is good. Momentum and strategy are really involved now!

Also, to the person before me who said that he couldn't unlock the classic Blitz mode. You have to earn Blitz Credits by winning Exhibition or Quickplay games. When you earn enough credits (you also need a profile), you can buy that mode in the Blitz shop.

Along with the classic Blitz mode are a bunch of other great unlockable game modes! (Examples: "Butterfingaz" where every time a man is tackled, he fumbles. "All or Nothing" where you only have 4 downs to go all 100 yards, rather than 10. "David and Goliath" where one team is big and tough while the other team is small and fast.) You can also buy hilarious fantasy teams; like real bears, dolphins, lions, tigers, ninjas, zombies and tons more! If that isn't enough to make you buy the game, you can buy fantasy arenas and download real current weather in various US cities if you have the online adapter. All these things are unlockable in the Blitz shop if you have earned enough Blitz Credits to your profile.

On top of that, included are options to play a season or start a franchise. This game is awesome!!!

2-0 out of 5 stars What were you thinking, Midway?
Say goodbye to the arcade game that was once so much fun. This game is
hardly an arcade game anymore. It feels more like Madden, except the
announcers are even more annoying than Madden! The announcers actually
WHINE constantly. What happened to the 2002 announcers, one was an idiot
and other constantly ripped on him -- that was hilarious! Now you have to
deal with constant whining and drawn-out stupid stories.

Teams now have their own plays, which is cool.Downloading real time

weather for the city you are playing in is a neat gimmick. But the core of
Blitz is SUPPOSED to be a fast-paced, arcade, hard-hitting, trash-talking,
game!Players of opposing teams can be seen giving a hand to one another to
get back on their feet after a play. WTH?This isn't supposed to be
politically-correct, its supposed to be BLITZ!
KICK 'EM WHILE THEY ARE DOWN!

I have Madden 2004 and ESPN NFL, I don't want (or need) another "serious"
football game.Blitz is supposed to be aggression releasing, funny, and
humor gameplay.Not any more.

There is a "Create A Game" mode called "Blitz Classic".Perhaps this is
what I'm looking for.Too bad I can't actually PLAY it.This option is
greyed out into you "earn the right" to play it.

Refering to manual, it says:

"Try activating multiple Creat A Game modes to create a unique game
experience of your own.Once you have completed the necessary steps to
unlock the game modes, options will be illuminated (not grey)."

So what exactly are the "necessary steps"?

Entering the Gameshark codes, I imagine.

Why the HELL do I need to UNLOCK this anyhow? ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Get your groove on!
Ejay Clubworld is a sick game for the music makers like me. In this game there are different clubs you can go to and each one contains different music genres. They include: Ambient, Acid/Electro, Hip-Hop, Reggae, Drum & Base, House, Trance, and Techno. My personal favorite is Electro because I've made some pretty sweet songs on that one. But all the clubs are good so this game suits any music fan.

An only downside is that you can't make music videos for your songs like you can in other music games. You can only use the video already on there. But anyway, it's still a great music-makin' experience.

3-0 out of 5 stars Its OK
tHE IS FUN FOR PEOPLE WHO LOVE MAKING MUSIC. (LIKE i DO) BUT EVEN THEN THE GAME GETS BORING KINDA FAST. IF I WAS YOU I WOULD RENT THE game first. (something I should have first).

The good side is you can use differnt kinds of music sound etc.

The bad side is its kinda hard at first and the contrelling is hard.

Thanks for reading.

There was music played loudly, but at least I didn't have to worry about where she was. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars This Game Is Great for all TRUE Soccer Fans
I don't know what these folks are tellin you about this game, don't listen to them. It's a great game, if you are a true soccer fan. (unlike some reviewers)But I'm an England fan, maybe I am just born to love soccer and anything to do with it.This game has so many cool features, like the free kick system is top notch, the new, situation, penalty modes are all fun.And in Fantasy Mode, you just make your Euro Dream Team.My team consists of players such as David Beckham, Michael Owen, James Beattie, Raul, Figo, Oliver Kahn, Ashley Cole, Frank Lampard, and other Euro stars.I highly recomend this game to a soccer fan, it's a good game but takes some time to get used to the controls, at least it did for me.Hope this review is helpful to anyone looking to purchase the game.

4-0 out of 5 stars Feel the Balls
The gameplay of this game is insufficient,But beautiful clarity.. No hang ups.. a game wit better view angle would help..

1-0 out of 5 stars Dont buy it!!!
This game is the worst soccer game EA sports ever made, sucks.First of all, Netherlands team......doesn`t exist....not names, nor faces, nothing!!! I really want my money back... the comments are erroneous....sometimes you are playing with germany and the comment says Bayer, or Inter....what???....Its to slow...the menus are slow....the game is slow, everything is going bad...I really hope that Fifa 2005 doesn`t suck like this game.....don`t buyit....you will regret if you do. ... Editorial Review

Piglet may be small, but not only does he star in his own movie, but he's also got his own video game. Toddle along with him in Piglet's Big Game, as he adventures through his friends' dreams.

The premise is pretty simple, and so are the controls, though you may find those Woozles get the better of you on occasion. While Piglet's friends are sleeping, he enters their dreams and helps them with their troubles--Pooh can't find any honey, Tigger's lost his stripes, and Eeyore's so sad that all the colors have disappeared from his dream. On his journeys to help the gang, Piglet must be very brave and show those pesky Heffalumps and Woozles that he's not afraid. Luckily, Piglet can collect cookies in the oddest of places (popping out of a tree?) and trade them in for brave faces.

The game has nicely-designed, simple, colorful graphics and some of the dreams are quite ingenious. Of course Pooh dreams he lives in a candyland, and it's awfully fun to run through paths of gumdrops and licorice twists. Overall, Piglet's Big Game is an enjoyable romp, though tots may find braving the Woozles quite challenging at times. Stay brave, and attentive, and Piglet will prove his heroism.--Maile Bohlmann

Pros:

  • Colorful, fun graphics
  • Classic Pooh-and-the-gang characters
  • Simple controls for young kids

Cons:

  • Crafty, circling Woozles may get the better of young players
  • It's necessary to collect all cookies, which can get monotonous

5-0 out of 5 stars Close to #1 Game!!
This game is so magnificent that I would rate upon the top 10 of all PS2 games. While playing it when it first released here in Japan I played for hours. Its beautiful. I never knew much of this Piglet character but after game...Oh yes.....Game is rated in sequence:1-10
Graphics:5++ (Intense mind-numbing graphics)
Gameplay:5++ (Magnificent story and breathtaking CG)
Soundtrack:5++ (Most in sync and classic music ever. A massage for the ears)
Sound Effects:5++ (Extremly realistic sounds and extreme voice acting!!)

Buy the game and pick up the controller. You'll know what I am talking about. This game is unlike any other. A multitude of beautiful characters backdrops, original gameplay, and simply a gaming classic. Any gamer any age any gender (& any weight) this is must buy game!!

1-0 out of 5 stars Money Wasted
My kids are not at ALL interested in this game.I would not buy if I had it to do again.

2-0 out of 5 stars Very Cute, but Parts Are Too Hard for Kids
This game is really quite cute. There is a great deal of imagination behind the design of the different levels, but some of the "boss battles" at the end of levels are just too hard for kids.Having to do 5 or 6 different key combinations SIX different times under a time limit is just too much to ask. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Boring racer
Probably the worst driving game i have played. The whole game just isn't happening. The control system leaves a lot to be desired. The visuals are way off of the mark.

Why buy this, when there are so many better racers avaliable?

4-0 out of 5 stars Great game and a lot of fun
I was waiting for a good rally game with some challenging AI. There it is, this game is great, the AI is pretty good and will not let you go easily. This is far better than V-Rally 3 which was way too easy.

Rally fusion is fun especially in multiplayer with all those different racing modes. The fact that you have to earn the new cars is great even if sometime it s much more time consuming than difficult.

anyway, if you want to have fun, get this game. The one I am waiting for after rally fusion is Colin Mcrae 3 :)

5-0 out of 5 stars Rally Fusion
Rally Fusion is one of the best rally games I have ever played. I am a fan of rally games and this by far is the best. Here is a list of the pros and the cons. Pros- 1)Realistic damage to your car that effects your preformance. 2)Good looking and awsome cars. 3)Parts really fall off the car. (Ex- doors, spoilers, rear and front bumpers, ext.) 4)Good graphics 5)Many tracks to chose from, from all over the world 6)Many diffrent modes including quick race, relay, and Race Of Champions The only con is that there is only one truck. Isn't this rally? This game is the best! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A Corvette Lovers Dream Game
Corvette is one of the greatest racing games on the market. This game is really great for Corvette lovers. The graphics are so great I thought that I was really driving a Corvette. There are five diffrent career race tournaments. Each tournament has different modles of Corvettes. After each tournament race if you place in first, second or third you unlock engine and paint mods.

2-0 out of 5 stars Very Disappointing!
First of all, thank God that I didn't buy this game before borrowing it from two of my friends, because I was very disappointed in this game. And, of course, like every videogame out there, this game DID have some good parts to it, but, of course, it had some bad parts to it.

Pros
> pretty good graphics
> great cars
> great tracks

Cons
> on PS2, you have to press X really hard to get to your top speed
> racing gets boring after a couple of races
> in multiplayer mode, Player 2 has to race using first person view(which is really stupid!)
> the car handling stinks
> the menu music can get annoying

If you want to buy a good racing game, don't buy this game. You should buy NFSU or any other NFS game. Heck, you could buy Ford Racing 2, that's just as good. I recommend that you rent this game before buying it. If you like it, hey, that's your opinion.

I would give it 1/2 star for fun and overall.Too Boring, not enough and exciting levels.A little too complicated for the younger kiddies. As an adult myself, I didn't enjoy it.

5-0 out of 5 stars COOL !
I've played ESPN MLB while i was renting baseball games while
deciding which game to buy.I played ASB 2005 and i didn't like it.I played MVP 2004 and it was a good game. But when i played
ESPN MLB I was hooked.I then knew what game to buy.I like the choices in uniforms you can use.the only thing that stunk was no
Barry Bonds.

1-0 out of 5 stars terrible
this game was a complete dissapointment.last years one was pretty good and realistic.but this year it got worse.the graphics are only average, controls are bad, and animations are unrealistic.almost any pitch you throw in the zone is a homerun against the good hitters.i can hit 4 homeruns in one game with one player and not even have to try hard.dont even rent this game.its NOT worth it.

5-0 out of 5 stars After further review
It's better than I previously thought. In the past several weeks, cracked bats, intuitive AI, and really nice realistic baseball, games, scores, stats etc.
And another thing, the LEGENDS team and stadiums are available at the get go......I don't have the time to play countless hours of videogames just to unlock Honus Wagner. MVP is ridiculous in this regard. ... Read more
