5-0 out of 5 stars PS3's power puts it in the league of supercomputers
The playstations are no longer just toys. The latest generation PS3 has processing power that puts it firmly in the league of supercomputers.
PS3 can handle 2 teraflops of processing power(one teraflop=a trillion calculations per second).Prior to 2000,only three computers in the entire world had greater than 2 teraflops of computing power.Even upto 2003,there were only 29 supercomputers that would be faster than the PS3.Sony's PS3 is 35 times faster than its predecessor PS2.
The new PS3 will be more than just one step forward for the gaming industry. With high performance graphics card in tow,and unbelievable polygon count,PS3 promises to deliver movie-quality
images for majority of its games.PS3 also comes with a Blu-ray disc drive, the next generation of drives that can store upto 50 GB of information.PS3 is expected to launch in spring 2006.
P.S.-The above info about PS3 was given here in the PS2 section since amazon does not have a link for PS3 as yet.Hope you found the info helpful.

    5-0 out of 5 stars I KNOW....

5-0 out of 5 stars Good product which provides some different feeling.
This is a good product. Why I say different feeling, because although it is another version of PS2, it is different because the loading of the games is quite faster than the old Playstation 2.So that I don't have to wait that long.Good product. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the best games made for ps2!
I dont know ifyou guys have been compaing this to the other star wars games, but the old games you just randomly fired with your gun, almost no upgrades, but it was online anabled. In this game you acuacly go around as a jedi and kill people with the force battle enimies and kill boses with your litsaber. (I am refering to star wars battle front in my comparison.) If you are questing this game in any way go to blockbuster and rent it then make you deciting.

5-0 out of 5 stars a gamers addiction
this is one of the best games i have ever played. the graphics are amazing and it is so cool being able to follow along in the footsteps of anakin as he changes to the dark side. I will admit it maybe ruins the movie a little, but we all know the outcome already so who cares. If you want to play a game that keeps you glued to the screen of your tv then this is one for you!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Revenge Of The Sith PS2 game
I really think that Lucas Arts did a great job on this game. All the characters have different ability's. The extra things on this game are amazing like the duels you can play. For the duels you can choose different characters like Obi Wan, Anakin, Darth Vader, Mace Windu and Ben Kenobi, General Grievious and Count Dooku. This is a very good game! The only thing that disappointed me was that they didn't have the Yoda Vs Sidious fight. Plus you can't choose Yoda as a duelist. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Probably one of the best Star Wars games EVER!!!
Alright, when I first heard about this game I thought it would be boring and hardly worth my time but boy, was I WRONG! This is a great game next to Revenge of the Sith. You get to playepisodes 1 through 3 and unlock secret characters, extras and even a Bonus level, Episode 4! It's easy to beat I'll admit but the game has great replay value thanks to free play mode and the 2 player Drop in and Drop out mode. Just remember that if you decide to play Episode 3, there are a few spoilers in store so choose wisely. A game worth buying if you're a Lego or Star Wars fan! This was a review from your old pal, DC.

5-0 out of 5 stars Cool Game
This game is pretty cool, i have unlocked almost all the characters. And yes, you can play as the dark side ( I don't know if you can unlock Darth Vader)! There are plenty of levels, some are easy and some are very diffucult(the majority of the levels are easy). My 3 year old brother can even play it, and he loves it!
The controls are great, as well as easy to learn. All in all, a very fun game, and just about anyone can just pick it up and play!(Oh yeah, i forgot, the graphics and music are great! Top notch!)

    Editorial Review

Are you searching for a driving game that offers more than just breakneck speed? Look no further than Gran Turismo 4. The most recent installment in this amazingly popular racing game brings realistic driving to a whole new level. With loads of new cars and a vastly improved physics engine, you'll be ready to tackle the roads in your favorite cars from the last century.

    The Cars
Automotive history is at your fingertips with Gran Turismo 4. You can select from over 700 cars, dating back nearly a century to the 1915 Ford Model T Tourer. From the United Kingdom's AC to Sweden's Volvo, you'll can choose from practically every car manufactured since 1915.

Beyond the list of cars, GT4 sports a new and vastly improved physics engine. Offering even greater realism than its predecessors, the GT4 engine has been meticulously designed to cover every inch and turn of your driving experience. Using physics to calculate weight, speed, friction, and a host of other nuances, every car delivers performance with its own unique, precise handling and feel.

This game isn't just about the cars, though -- it's also about the competition. The advanced, lifelike drivers compete with fervor unmatched even by some of your video game buddies. Fueled by the latest advances in artificial intelligence, your digital rivals will react to your every move with behavior modeled after actual professional racers.

It may take you weeks to test drive all 700 available cars, but with Gran 4 you'll never truly run out of "new" vehicles. This game is equipped with a multitude of options to customize your favorite cars. Brakes, shocks, and engine components can all be upgraded. You can stylize your car with wings, rims, and color, and you can even change your oil. In short, you can do whatever needs to be done to keep your car tuned and looking hot for the next big race.

    The Human Element
Gran Turismo 4 brings something completely new to your gaming experience. In the stands you'll find spectators who comes to life in3D before your very eyes. They react with genuine human emotions to your every move, cheering as you pass, and snapping photographs as you cross the finish line. Your next pit stop will take place as if you were really there. You'll watch the process unfold in real-time as your crew rushes to change your tires and refuel your tank. But that's not all. With the new addition of convertibles, you are truly in the drivers seat. Your drivers will react with precise and fluid motions, and turn just as you would if you were behind the wheel. Gran Turismo has never looked so unbelievably real.

    The Courses
Not only does GT4 bring you the rare opportunity to drive hundreds of cars, it also offers you a vast collection of actual racing locations. Rip through the exotic Costa di Malfi in Capri, burn rubber through the urban jungle of Hong Kong, or throw up some serious dust at the Grand Canyon -- no matter where you decide to race, you'll love driving any of the game's fourteen tracks. Feeling nostalgic? With Gran 4, you can even race on some of your old, favorite tracks from previous editions.

    LAN Play
Compete against your buddies with the LAN play functionality of GT4. Connect up to three PlayStation 2 consoles and bring together up to six players in a racing frenzy that pits you against your friends. Each console will need a copy of Gran Turismo 4, the proper connecting cables, and all the standard gaming equipment. Once connected, you'll be ready for a life-like battle of driving abilities and mental toughness. With LAN play, the action has never been more intense or more realistic! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great game, very time consuming and hard
Hey first off, this game is a really good racing simulator.Graphics are much improved and there is a phenominal selection of cars to choose from.Overall the feel of the driving feels extremely real, but cars can very from the performance of past games (for example the RUF cars aren't very fast this time around).
There is however a lot of downsides to this game.To start off, as a prior reviewer already stated, why in the world do you have to do rally racing on this to get your liscense?People don't buy the game to drive on a bunch of dirt, that would be Collin Macree Rally or some other rally game.
Second, this game is extremely long compared to the others, I mean long. That is good and bad.Good becasue you'll probably not get bored playing this for a long time, bad becasue you'll go insane trying to get 100%!Another biggie is some of the endurance races even speeded up (3x's) take more than eight hours! If you can spend nine hours starring at a TV screen never leaving your house then go for it!If not then you are doomed to never complete the game.
Forth problem is that the game if very very hard.At the higher levels goodluck winning, you'll spend forever practicing before you'll even be able to keep up.But with a lot, and I mean a lot of practice its possible.
To conclude this is a really really fun game.If you liked the three prior to this then you will love this game, but probably find yourself a little frustrated with the length and difficulty.I been playing a couple months, and am about 90% complete so it is a doable game, if you have the time and paitence!

5-0 out of 5 stars Best car game yet
Don't listen to rockethead7 because he don't know what he's talking about. I rented GT4 for the first time last Thursday and I thought it was the best Gran Turismo yet. My first car was a 69' Chevy Camaro ss with a 427.(I think it was a 427) Then I raced in the Camaro races a whole bunch. I got the money for the Camaro by doing that data transfer thing from GT3 and got my A and B license and 100,000 dollars. It makes it a whole lot easier. Then I bought a Buick special, won a Chevelle, a Corvette Z06 racecar 1969, with the corvette I bought. I was really interested in getting this game because of the old cars on it. I played it and got more than I expected. It has the best old cars on it, like chevelles, camaros, corvettes, buick specials, 1915 ford model t, and a pontiac gto to name some of my favorites. Rockethead7 sucks. He don't like old cars, and old cars are the best.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great game, Do NOT be fooled!!
First of i would like to say that this is a tough game not super hard but hard at some points. i am about 30% complete in about a week and a half. The first thing that you need to do if you can is to get the 2 licenses from GT3 and 100,000 credits if you can. That is what i did. this way you can spend all that money on one car and let that car carry you on to more money and more cars. This game is amazing when accounting for the HUGE selection of cars. I would highly recomend this game to anyone. To me this is no doubt the best racing game for the PS2. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars This game is TIGHT!
It's like Pimp My ride and The Fast and the Furious in one. You can customize yur own car and evrything. when its snowing in detroit you can do donuts and when you customize your car, hydrolics are the first thing to buy. if you put on the no damage cheat - ontheroad - you can crash into as many things as you want, and your car wont even get dirt on it. its really annoying and fun when your in the middle of a race and a cop is right on yur tail. I just rented it but i know im gonna buy it. you will not waste your money on this game, its worth every penny. And the soundtrack is the best. its got 50 cent, twista, petey pablo. but it also has really stupid disco songs too, but this is the funnest racing game ive ever played.

5-0 out of 5 stars Koo fast blingin
possibly- no the BEST game from the midnite club series, has to be this 1. I am hooked on it, but the only bad thing bout this game is: when i have everthing set up for the online feature, i start it and it says the network cables are not plugged in, AND THEY ARE! Good unlockables and customization like in NFSUG2, custom colors and decals- tight, new vinayls-sweet, and good cars, wish it had the rx7 though.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not as fun as Need for Speed: Underground series!
I really tried to play this game over and over to be addicted to it but the replay value is very poor to me on this game. The controls are not that good as EA's Need for Speed: Underground series. I played both games this one and Underground 2. I leaning more towards EA's car game now b/c this Midnight Club 3 just is not what I expected. What happen to the real street car racing that Rockstar Games left out such as Drifting races and drag races. The main focus is on unlimited customization of 60 cars and circuit races. Don't get me wrong... I love street car challenges but this game doesn't give me a reason to come back and play it after each race. There is no strong storyline so it's just race after race. Gets kinda of boring after awhile. I probably have to trade in this one to get Underground 2 which I think is slightly better but has it's flaws too. Any Need for Speed: Underground gamers like me might want to rent before buying this game b/c the first 2 Midnight Club games I thought weren't as good either. Here's my other ratings on the game:
    Graphics: 4/5
    Presentation: 4.5/5
    Controls: 3.5/5
    Replay Value: 2/5
    Soundtrack: 5/5 ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Very Nice
I bought this wheel a couple of months ago.I have to say that I really like it.I don't believe that it made me any better at gran turismo, but it makes a lot of the races more fun.I mostly enjoy using it when I'm confident that I'll win a race. It's also fun when I feel like I want to be "really into" the race.

The force feedback is great. The feel of the wheel is great. The pedals are a little close together and I wish the pedal base was a bit heavier, but no biggie.I tend to hold the base still with my left foot, while using it with my right.I love the fact that the controls are also on the wheel so I don't have to pick up my control pad for certain things.Overall, this has to be the best wheel on the market and great fun for the hardcore gamer.

4-0 out of 5 stars Nice wheel with unique multiturn feature
Being a gadget lover, I decided to upgrade my Logitech Formula Force GP wheel to the well-reviewed Driving Force Pro. The bottom line is that the DFP is indeed a big step up, with 900 degree steering support, additional side shifter and better feedback effects. It also feels more rugged, though it is still all plastic.

This wheel is marketed as a Playstation2 accessory, but it does work under Windows, and that is half the reason I bought it. Just install the Logitech drivers and plug it in, no special tricks required. Currently I don't know of any Windows games which support 900 degree steering, but hopefully we'll see some eventually. For now, the DFP is working great for Richard Burns Rally in 200 degree mode. It still provides better feel (and more buttons) than the good old FFGP. It's also great with Gran Turismo 4 and Need for Speed 2: Underground on the PS2, which both support 900 degree steering.

Unfortunately, the DFP still suffers from a mediocre clamping system--not that this is the only wheel to be so afflicted. The clamps don't open quite as wide as I would like either, which made it hard to attach to my desk. As others have recommended, I suggest a using a TV tray.

If you are in the market for your first wheel, this is a very good choice, especially if you want something that works for Windows and the PS2. If you already have a wheel you like, this would only be worth the upgrade if you are a real driving nut.

By the way, this would have been a 5-star review if the DFP had a clutch pedal.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very good.
I had borrowed a Logitech WingMan Formula Force GP from a friend to see if I like it. One week later I was looking for the best. I now have the Logitech Driving Force Pro. It is very nice. It feels better in your hand and all the controls that are on the controllers are there. The gear knob is place close to the wheel so that your hand can easily change the gear with out leaving the wheel. If you don't like that, you have the paddles under the wheel. The foot peddles are nice and the pad grips to the rug very good.

The only thing that I thing should have been done is to place a colour band around the top of the steering wheel. This allows you to check that your wheel is centre when wrapping with the 900 degrees turning during a rally. I sometimes get lost and have to look down to see which way it is pointing.

    VERY VERY GOOD!!

It may not be a splashy leap forward, but Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas in its own deep, dark way does just as much to move and revolutionize video games as its two predecessors, Grand Theft Auto III and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. As in previous installments, here you play as a thug with problems you must steal and shoot your way out of, but the problems this time are disconcertingly more realistic. You play as Carl Johnson, known on the street as CJ, a likeable criminal type who has just returned to his hometown, Los Santos (a fictionalized Los Angeles), to find that his mother has been murdered and that the police have framed him for another murder. Reunions with his friends and a troubled relationship with his brother set off a sprawling, complex plot line, taking place at first in the immediate Los Santos area but eventually spilling into San Fierro (based on San Francisco) and Las Venturas (Las Vegas).

    CJ
You play as Carl Johnson, known on the street as CJ.

This is an honest effort to create an engaging story about sympathetic characters caught up in a brutal environment that is on par with a movie or novel.

    Gaming Gangsters

Where Vice City took its cues, with tongue firmly in cheek, from the 1980s television series Miami Vice, San Andreas is a sincere homage to early 1990s innercity gangster films like Menace 2 Society and Boyz ‘N the Hood. This is an honest effort to create an engaging story about sympathetic characters caught up in a brutal environment that is on par with a movie or novel. If that effort hits a few flat notes (you would have to be totally desensitized not to wonder if it's OK to make entertainment out of driveby shootings), it may also mark the first step toward video games growing up.The first thing that fans of earlier GTA games will notice is the range of action is much wider now: Along with shooting, running, and driving, there's now swimming, eating, working out, shopping, and, yes, getting a haircut. All this means the game has a fairly steep learning curve. But, though the pick-up-and-play appeal of Grand Theft Auto III may be long gone, your access to the action becomes fairly transparent after a little practice. My only serious complaint is that, with the controller now crowded with such previously unheard-of functions like "Gang Active" and "Talk Positive," you can drive only with the left analog stick. A minor point, but it makes cars a lot more difficult to handle.

    Bikin’ it
Bicycles take on a surprisingly central role.

    Vehicular Variety

It would be hard to surpass the variety of automobiles available in earlier games, and San Andreas wisely does not for the most part try to compete on that score. Instead, it's bicycles of all things that steal the show. The bikes' speed and flexibility are perfect for many of the missions, and there is something about cruising through the streets and basketball courts on a BMX that just feels right. If you play far enough into the game, you will also be rewarded with the chance to fly a number of aircraft, and flying is something Rockstar makes a greater effort to get right this time (welcome news for anyone who struggled with the planes and ‘copters of the earlier games).

    Lackluster Graphics--but a Real Feel

Graphics--never a huge priority for Rockstar--actually take a step backward from the luscious, tropical look of Vice City. Textures are rendered with only a cursory attention to detail, and contours are often blocky. It scarcely matters, though, because no matter how San Andreas looks, it feels real. This is due in no small part to voice work by an all-star cast including Samuel L. Jackson, Ice T, James Woods, Peter Fonda, and Outkast's Big Boy and a stellar soundtrack with tunes by Soundgarden, 2Pac, Public Enemy, and even a few country classics from the likes of Willie Nelson. But it's not just realistic, San Andreas is also vast, encompassing three big urban centers and huge swaths of rural land (complete with shotgun-toting farmers) between them. This vastness does mean, however, that there can be a lot of tedious driving to get to the missions, which, along with some awkward sequencing of the cut scenes (they are in places stacked one on top of the other), means that there is a bit too much downtime. But never mind the quibbles. Ladies and gentlemen, we have another classic on our hands. --David Stoesz

4-0 out of 5 stars Gets boring after a while
When i got the game, it was awesome. After like two months it got boring because I beat all the missions and the side missions don't help me anymore. I suggest you do the side missions first (cop, firetruck, ambulance, etc) and don't use cheats to have fun with the game.

4-0 out of 5 stars Another Great game for a excellent Franchise
San Andreas is a great improvment over the previous games GTA 3 and Vice city. With more play time, better aiming and RPG elements this game sets itself apart from other third person shoters. As before the open ended missions give alot of fun but shortly get old. That being said the graphics are old but they pale in comparison to some other PS2 games. One last not this game is rated "M" for a reason. There is as somepeople believe, not myself,to much cursing. Also, the game is sufficated with adult material, again some people don't like this. However I very greatly enjoyed this game.

the Award goes to GTA San Adreas
This game is about a man who left his family for few years. When he got back, his mom had died. His family said everything that happened was his fault, even his mom death. Some of his best friends became his enemy. My favorite part in the game is the end. When he killed is best and killed the officers that make his hood breakup.
The thingI like about this game was the gun and cars. They were perfect and each car speed limit was great. This game started great. Cj was getting off the plane and got blackmailed by an officer. Another interesting thing about this game was the map.Tthe map shows all the area of your mission and make it easier to get to your destination .This game had a lot of surprises, for example jet packs. I think it was a great idea putting jet packs, because it makes the shooting mission easier. Before this game came out, I always logge on Ebgames to see the case and the photo.
I recommend this game to people who like action games and movie. But not kids under 13 years.

The layout of PlayStation2's Dual Shock 2 controller is nearly identical to that of the original PlayStation's Dual Shock controller, which is good news for most gamers. The main new feature is that, when the buttons are pushed, the controller can register how much pressure is being exerted. This adds a completely new dimension to sports, racing, fighting, and more games. Aside from the Start and Select buttons, all of the functions are analog for greater control, a wider variety of operations, and a more compelling interactive experience. Two convex analog thumb pads and two force-feedback solenoid rumblers round out the features. This controller is also compatible with all software that supports the original Dual Shock controller. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Best PS2 controller out there!
First of all, let me clear up something that seems to have alot of people confused around here. The Sony Dualshock 2 IS NOT the same thing as the Sony Dualshock Controller. It is, in fact, VERY different! The Dualshock 2 has fully analog buttons and D-Pad. For those of you who do not know what this means (and there seem to be many of you), it means that its pressure sensative. So, say, if your playing GTA then you can press gently to drive along very slowly, or jam the button down to floor it. You do not have any of these features on the normal Dualshock, and sony is not just trying to make you shell out money for no reason.

And so anyway, all that said, the Dualshock 2 is most likely the best PS2 controller out there. I owned a 3rd party controller for not very long until the analog sticks started going wacko on me and i was forced to get an official Sony one again, but i'm glad i did. It's very comfortable to hold, and the buttons are in very easy to remember places, unlike the Gamecube's controller, and i have yet to find a more durable controller than this.

With all that said, i hope you'll pay a little extra for this high quality controller and not be fooled into buying cheap, 3rd party knockoffs.

By the way, dont get confused and buy those PS2 controllers that look nearly the same as the official Dualshock. The only way to tell the difference is that thay don't say Sony Playstation on the face of them.

3-0 out of 5 stars It's good enough for my usage.
I recieved this controller when I bought my PS2, and I have to say I like it, it's nice and comfey, but when I first used it, it struck me as lighter than the PS1 controller, which I later figured out why when I opened the controller up. I am sorry to say that, unlike with the PS1 controllers, the Dual Shock 2 doesn't have the feature that the PS1 did. That is, the rumbler wasn't as safely tucked in, as many of us like to toss our controllers around. I was dissapointed when the plastic casing housing the rumbler was snapped, and the rumbler itself was misplaced. This is a definite issue, as I like to play my racing games, and racing games require a rumbler. I also was disappointed by the fact that you can't switch components of PS 1 controllers into the Dual shock 2, but then I discovered I can use PS1 for my racing games. Overall, I'll only use it when I must, but if I don't have to, then I will switch with my Old Faithful PS1 controller. One word of advice, don't throw this too hard, you'll break the plastic around the rumbler.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Controller
This is one of the best controlers you can get for the ps2. It feels good when you're holding it and the buttons are easy to access. The pressure sensitive system works great and so does the rumbler. But like all other controllers, if you play for too long, your hands get sweaty and you hand slipps. If this is a problem you should get nyko's airflow controler, but either way this is a GREAT controller for all ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars MVP Baseball Is As Good As Manny Himself
This game is great for any baseball lover. Unless you're a Yankees fan. The game has Manny Ramirez on the cover and talks about the Red Sox historic 2004 season in the previews. It's got great features, such as the Owner Mode, and Mini Games. Both are new to the MVP titles this year. The Owner Mode lets you build your own ballpark and control your team for up to 30 seasons and try to make it the best franchise in the MLB, while keeping finances and fans in mind. Mini Games are a great way to just have fun. Improve on your hitting or pitching, or rack up MVP points to put towards things like, legendary stadiums, and famous players from the past. The game controls are crisp and the graphics are great. The songs get a little old, but they are still creative. The Homerun Showdown is still a hit, but there is still no actual Homerun Derby. I give this game 4 3/4 out of 5 stars for graphics. 5 out of 5 stars for gameplay, and 6 out of 5 stars overall. Yes. It's that good.

5-0 out of 5 stars Big Inpruvment
Mvp has made a huge inpruvment from last year. Last year you ether strike out or hit a homerun. Now you hit singiles and doubles. The grafices are soooooooo much more deitailed. THe new owner mode lets you start with a begginers park, add seating capasity, restorants, arcads, food stands, ect. You get an inbox and other feachers like hiters eye the ball flashes colors for difforent pitches

5-0 out of 5 stars Best thing if there is more than one player
My self, my wife, and the the two boyz we have are all playing with the PS2. Each has his/her own game and savings. This is a must if you have more than one player using the game. Each has his memory card (stick) and has his/her own game levels saved on it. Never had any trouble with any of them, nor did it ever hang on me. I am truely satisfied with the product.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great cards
There really isn't any flaws with these memory cards and buying two instead of one is alot better than buying 2 seperately and it'll save you some bucks. The only thing is that if you have 3 or more games that use 2000+K memory space you might wand to consider the 32MB memory card that codejunkies makes.

5-0 out of 5 stars Must Have For A Playstation2 Owner
I am a frequent playstation2 player and this is a neccessity. I have been getting games since the PS2 came out, and I have over 50 videogames so I have a total of 5 memory cards and they are all full. If you play videogames you are going to need at least one, but it is much cheaper to buy this pack and they come in cool red and blue colors. Some videogames take up ALOT of space on the memory card such as the Jak series and Madden NFL Football series. I reccomend this product to ANY PS2 owner and I suggest buying two of these because in the long run you are going to need them. If you are going to buy someone a PS2 you need to buy them this and an extra controller because if you don't they will very dissapointed. You can't go wrong with this product and I do not reccomend buying ANY non-Sony produuct including memory cards. ... Read more

Building a better system from the ground up sometimes involves digging into even the most mundane components. Take memory cards, for instance. To provide larger storage capacity and faster access rates--PlayStation2 cards transfer data 200 times faster than cards for the original PlayStation--PlayStation2 developers have upgraded the technology for the new memory card. The 8 MB Memory Card uses Flash Memory, the storage technology that's revolutionizing handheld computers, digital cameras, and MP3 players. In contrast, the 128 KB memory cards that were designed for the original PlayStation use memory blocks. While large files can spill over several blocks, you can't store more than one file per block in that design, no matter how small the file. The 8 MB Memory Card allieviates that problem by organizing and storing files much more like a computer hard disk. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Building another Terminator
Using the technology from this 8MB Memory Card (left over from the dead Terminator), you should be able to construct another Terminator robot and send it through time.

If you create a bad Terminator robot, you should definitely soup it up like the A-Team van, with some crazy special powers that will help it destroy mankind. If you create a good Terminator robot, just make it like normal (and P.S. thanks for saving mankind).

4-0 out of 5 stars good, not great
The official 8MB PS2 memory card is good if you have only a couple of games.otherwise you need to buy more than one.It is said that it runs 200 times faster, which isn't entirely accurate (usually about 185 times, but 200 is supposed to be the max).I bought this thing used for $17 dollars. That's expensive. If you have an oldr model of Playstation, it would be better to shell out $100 for Final Fantasy 11/hard drive bundle. The hard drive is 40 gigs, which is 5,120 times larger than this memory card.If you have a slim ps2, you can't use the hard drive. In that case, buy the 2 pack memory cards from Sony. It runs from $32 to $40, so get that package.Overall, a fast, reliable card, but Sony needs to produce larger cards.

5-0 out of 5 stars The King Of Iron Tournament 5
When Hon-Maru is destroyed, Somebody starts The King Of Iron Tournament 5. We all really like games like Tekken 5, But some play GameCube, XBox... Tekken 5 is the latest game or tournament. The characters in Tekken 5 are Nina, Anna, Baek, Xiayou, King, Marduk, Lee, Julia, Ganryu, Christie, Kzuya, Heihachi, Jin, Devil Jin, Mokujin, Wang, Kuma, Panda, Roger Junior, Bruce, Raven, Feng, Asuka, Paul, Law....

The Story Battle is the most exciting game. It tells why these characters enter the Tournament 5. After you defeat, Jinpachi mishima, Heihachi's father, you unlock one of the character's movie. You also earn Fight Money to Cosdtumize your characters.

The Arcade Battle is where the Ranking Matches and Demotion Riskes occurs. All you need to do is fight, fight.... I already became a Tekken Lord by using Nina Williams. Before you will be a Tekken Lord, you have to be promoted to 9th kyu, 8th kyu, 7th kyu, 6th kyu, 5th kyu, 4th kyu, 3rd kyu, 2nd kyu, 1st kyu, 1st dan, 2nd dan, 3rd dan, 4th dan, 5th dan, Shihan, Expert, Master, Virtuoso, Champion, Legend, Sage, Warlord, Conqueror, Deity and Tekken Lord. Very long right?. By the way, You can make your player name.

The Practice Mode is where you do your moves, I always use Nina. They have 3 choices. Defense Training, Vs. CPU, Freestyle.

The game is so perfect. Please buy it.

4-0 out of 5 stars You should buy
This in every way can be better than the other four. The fighting is better and the character custimazaion is good but not as good as virtua fighter. The characters are all better. There are some strange ones but that dosent matter it's still fun. Also the story is much better. But the boss is extremely diffucult and he is very cheap. But that hust takes a little practise to gt by. Also it adds acade history which fetures the first 3 tekkens. It is a very cool feature. And than Devi wiithin which is sorta like the privious Tekken force modes but it is its own story.

So if you are like me and a huge fan of everything Tekken this will be a great piece to your collection it is worth it.

1-0 out of 5 stars You will be not be influential
In virtually every game I have ever played, from the Atari 2600 onward, the player was at the center of attention. In this game, that is by no means the case. You will be one of approximately 200 players on the battlefield (which is a chaotic mess) with no special abilities (beyond being a pilot or sharpshooter, etc...). Depending slightly upon the settings, you can very well win a specific battle without ever leaving the safety of your bases. That should tell you just how important you (the player) is. I bought the game based upon it's rating here at Amazon and with the "Star Wars" name, but it is not to be compared with other games of the the same genre. RENT IT BEFORE YOU BUY IT!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Cool
This game is cool but easy, I played this game for three hours and beat it.There also should be jedi fighting. So if you like Star Wars, get it. ... Read more

    Editorial Review

Sam Fisher is back for more espionage and intrigue in Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. All the nail biting about whether to go in "hot" with guns blazing, or to use stealth is back in this new version, plus some amazing improvements. Chaos Theory ups the ante with vastly improved graphics, totally open level design, and coop gameplay.

Fresh from the East Timor operations, Fisher is now put on the front lines of information warfare. The year is 2008 and the world is suffering from citywide blackouts, stock exchange sabotage, and electronic hijacking of national defense systems. The stakes are high and Fisher, as the NSA's most elite black-ops agent, is inserted in operations to aggressively gather intelligence. A wide range of missions call on a lethal mixture of weapons and close range combat. While Chaos Theory demands the same agility and athleticism required in previous Splinter Cell incarnations, some new weapons, gadgets and moves are available, such as the prototype Land Warrior rifle, and the stealthy, but oh-so-deadly inverted neck break.

In addition to an improved graphics engine, physics are enhanced, too. Enhancements like rag doll physics, particle effects, and realistic interaction with the environment make the Splinter Cell experience more immersive than ever.Just as judging your environment was crucial in past Splinter Cell games, Chaos Theory demands that you understand the delicate balance between light and shadow to stay alive.

Chaos Theory offers great replayability in single player mode, thanks to its vast, open level design. There's always more than one way to achieve your objectives. At the beginning of each mission you are given your objectives, but you must choose how to go about completing them. Decisions about stealth versus conflict are yours to make, too. Should you enter a mission with non-lethal weaponry, a host of guns and ammo, or a little bit of both? You decide.

The Splinter Cell franchise is known for its tense, stealth-driven multi-player modes, and Chaos Theory is no exception. This version adds unique cooperative modes where you and your teammates must complete infiltration missions. Try to keep each other alive. Try to thrive in the dark and strike when the moment is right. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT!!!!!
I love this game and heres my pros and cons
    Pros
    Now assault mode
More moves like neck break and more weapons of lethalness
    Fun to play
Bashing doors open and knocking out the bloke on the other side
    Graphics (Most realistic PS2 game)
    Tense gameplay
    Cons
Hacking computers, keypads whatever is difficult
This is a must buy for anyone except under 15s because theres a horrible torture scene in mission 1, theres strangling, neckbreaking, drowning and blood if u look closley when killing and swearing but not too much only s**t and son of a b*tch and it is difficult. So buy buy buy wether u like it or not. Splinter Cell is now for run and gun fans becuse theres 3 modes u can choose when starting a mission which are stealth, assault and Reddings reccomendation (Reddings repleaced Brunton from Pandora Tomorrow). So theres something for everyone here. I wont be buying anything else for a while because I'll try to finish it 9 times (Mixture of the 3 1st then just stealth mode and then assault mode). I feel like owning a PS2 for just the following games
GTA Vice City and San Andreas
Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow and this
    Killzone
50 Cent Bulletproof and The Warriors (When they are released)
Buy this and all the games mentioned above but wait a while for 50 Cent Bulletproof and The Warriors because Warriors is out end of the year and 50 Cent Bulletproof around same time I think. Thank you for reading this review and I hope u found it useful in helping u with your PS2 game choices.

5-0 out of 5 stars Incredible
Splinter Cell Chaos theory is an incredible game. It is a stealth game. The focus is light and dark: hiding in the darkness and sneaking up on guards thtanever heard or saw you. You can use non lethal attacks like punches, knees, or choke-holds, or lethal attacks like neck snaps and throat slits. The graphics pushn the ps2 to the limit: many cutscenes can be mistaken for movie scenes. Do not believe any bad review you hear. There is also a co-op mode and an online, spies vs. mercenaries, mode. The level design, sound, and story are great.

    Graphics-pushes the ps2 to the limit. 9.9=4.95
Gameplay- stealty, light and dark, play 9.6=4.8
sound- good msuic, but nothing spectacular 8.5 4.25
fun factor- if you do not enjoy stealth games, you will after splinter cell chaos theory 9.5=4.75
note: the game is very hard

2-0 out of 5 stars Mediocre Version
I own the X-box version of this game and it is incredible. I rented the play station one just for fun. I knew it wouldn't come close, but I just wanted to see how it stacked up. This game is of very mediocre quality by to days standards. The first splinter cell that came out for PS2 is better than this one. The PS2 Chaos Theory sort of looks like an early prototype of the X-Box version before detail, texture, high quality graphics and nonlinear mapping were put in. If you don't have the X-box though, it's still a pretty fun game, so I'd recommend at least renting it. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Almost perfect!!
This is a great control, the batteries last long (I think even more than 50 hours without vibration) and it works almost perfect. I would have given a 5 star if the X bottom didn't stay pressed down (sometimes) when I am playing. Maybe is the logitech design that the X bottom doesn't work always right. The orignal ps2 control, in the right, the bottoms( square, triangle, circle and x) are on a flat surface and that's why it works great. But this logitech design, the surface is not flat that's why the bottoms don't work as good as the original ps2 control. They should design a better control, but with flat surface for the bottoms to make it as functional as the original ps2 control.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best replacement controller - cordless or otherwise
I'm glad Logitech fixed the D-pad functionality with this new controller. I had an older (corded) Logitech controller where it was almost impossible not to generate a diagonal move when all you wanted was a pure up/down/left/right input. It made fighting games and even some shooting games impossible to play. Fortunately, this model doesn't suffer from that defect. The buttons and joysticks have a good crisp feel with slightly (and I mean very slightly) more dead space under the buttons than the standard Sony controller. By this I mean that fraction of a mm that you have to push down on the button before the plastic 'cap' engages with the sensor under the button is little bit bigger. I got used to making more definitive button pushes to adjust for this.

With the AA batteries in it, this unit has got pretty good heft. It's bigger size makes it more comfortable for adult hands than the stock Sony controller. The additional weight is actually a nice feature because the controller feels stable under my thumbs without my needing to squeeze as much with my other fingers. The plastic also has some texture to it (unlike the smooth, glossy plastic on the Sony controller) that also makes it easy to hold onto. Those two features mean less hand fatigue since you don't have the grip the controller so tightly which makes for very comfortable extended gaming sessions.

I've been using mine for about a month now and have never noticed any lag or glitchiness in its response. This is a great relief to me since the room is full of other wireless gizmos like cell phones, cordless phones (also 2.4GHz) and wireless routers. Works great with the 'shooter' type of games (SOCOM, Splinter Cell, etc.) that I like to play online. The first set of batteries (included) is still going strong even with the vibration function on. This is a great controller for the PS2.

5-0 out of 5 stars Greatest Third Party Controller Made
I read these negative reviews on this controller, and I honestly wonder why theirs doesn't perform flawlessly like mine does. Us military guys are known to break everything and go through equipment like its nothing. I have yet to manage to break this controller or find a flaw. It's fallen from my desk countless times, I spilt a drink on it, even my rucksack fell off my bed and landed on it and there was no problem with it. As long as you maintain the batteries in it (50 hours should keep you goin for a while if you are a casual gamer, and if you're a hardcore gamer then you should be used to spending money). Another note to mention is not all wireless routers will interfere. My router is aprox. 6 inches away from my PS2 and still the controller functions as you would expect. If you need a controller don't waste time getting the sony dual shock when Logitech has a surperior pad. ... Read more
