5-0 out of 5 stars Great toy for baby!!!
I just got this toy for my 9 month old daughter a few days ago and she loves it.There is so much to do so many activities. My daughter gets bored easily so this toy is wonderful. It keeps her busy time and time again.I do have one complaint though Fisher price makes you do all of the work to put together this toy.You don't get out of anything you have to screw on every part you could possibly think of.Some of the things could have been done eaisly during manufacturing. But it was well worth it.This is a great toy! And I think it will entertain her for a long time.

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT TOY!
I bought this for my son when he was nine months old.He loved it then and still loves it now that he is a year old.He plays with it everyday and is finding new things to play with on it as he gets older.I highly recommend this toy.It is a little bit of a pain to put together though.

5-0 out of 5 stars Toy at Gamma & Poppy's house
My gamma and Poppy brought me this toy and It's GREAT!!I play with it all the time, I visit (once a month).I play with the door bell and turn the weather so that it's raining or sunny.I go in and out of the door and I play with the mail.I play with this toy all the time and it's one of my favorites and their house. Your little boy or girl will love playing with this toy. ... Read more

The Aquadoodle isn't a pool or tub toy, but without water it's no fun at all. It's just a drawing mat after all, but kids will like the novelty of its disappearing colors. The 81 by 53-inch drawing mat is large enough for several kids to doodle on at a time, using the included magic marker pens that do not transfer color to other surfaces (to our knowledge …). Color from the pens appears when water touches the mat; it then fades out without a trace in 60 seconds or so. That's it: no ink, no paint, and no mess.Diane Beall ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Lots of fun
My 2 year old loves his aquadoodle. He got the aquadoodle and some extra pens and the stamps. You need to order at least one extra pen so you can play with it with them.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for anywhere doodling
I recently saw this toy at a friends house. I had to get a 2 year birthday present and decided to buy this and buy one for my 3 year old and 14 month old. My 3 year had a great time during quiet time the other day and even figured out to wet her hands and feet and make prints. Today my 14 month old played with it while I premade some dinner. I like the fact that it doesn't write on anything else and my 14 month put the pen in his mouth but it is only water. It will be great on trips. We got the extra pens and stamps and that has been wonderful. Love it.

5-0 out of 5 stars A hit for kids of various ages!!!!
This product is AWESOME!!!!My 2 year old son received this for Christmas.Since it only came with one pen, I bought the extra pens so he and my 4 year old daughter could play with it at the same time. They both love it and I don't have to worry about them fighting over who gets to play with it.It is big enough, they can both draw on it at the same time.
Yesterday, I also brought it with us while my daughter was in gymnastics. It folds up easily enough to take it places and I stuck the pens in the middle of it so they would not get lost. There are plenty of other kids that go there, so they are all sharing each others toys.It definitely was a hit as kids from 2 - 10 were down drawing on it with him. There was constantly 3 kids drawing on it at a time and they ended up filling up the mat by the end of the hour, so I just layed it out when I got home to complete drying. However, most of the time when it is just my son and daughter using it, any of their drawings dry fast enough that it DOES keep them entertained for quite a while.

5-0 out of 5 stars awesome!!!
I would not have thought much of the item based on packaging but we received this as a gift and it is my 2 1/2-year old's favorite. She loves the thing. It is now one of our favorite gifts to give. I have not heard of any problems and all the parts are sturdy. It is very cute to see how every little girl 'knows' to sling it over her wrist (I don't carry my purse that way..) Although, we are as likely to find trains and matchbox cars inside as we are to find the lipstick. Definately a great little item!

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent!
My daughter got this purse for Christmas last year when she was 18 months old. She is still playing with it all of the time! She loves to take her purse everywhere, just like mommy does! :) She is so proud of her purse that she is constantly showing it to people. Her favorite things out of the purse are the lipstick, keys, and card case. She loves to put her own items in the purse as well. This is a very cute set!

4-0 out of 5 stars Cute, very cute
I wanted to get my only little girl her own purse, so she could be like mommy... I have 4 children, 3 year old b/g twins, and 8 month old b/b twins. she got this purse when she was 18 months and she has some new "favorites", but this was a hit anyways. She loves the lipstick, and the sunglasses case (we bought her disney ones) and the mirror. But there are better ones out there, we bought her some chapstick and a little better "plastic" lipstick to keep in there, we supervise with capstick. The keys and phone are the only things she didnt pay attention to, because we have better ones. SO if you dont have the things that come in this purse, its great, but we did... so I have bought her other purses, that she likes better ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun for a little girl!
This is a great set of costumes for a little princess. As one might expect, everything, from the plastic jewelry (a couple of the earrings don't stay together well) to the sheer dresses, is pretty cheap, but I wasn't terribly disappointed with the quality in light of the variety of items included. What's nice about the set is that there is a variety - not just one outfit to try on then discard. My 2 year old daughter tried on 5 different "looks" upon opening the box and mastered the "glass slippers" in minutes.

The castle top of the box is a bit flimsy and I don't expect it to last long, but it added to the excitement of opening the package the first time.

Value for the money?Well, with price plus tax and shipping, I think it's a bit overpriced, but it is significantly cheaper than the Disney set, and my daughter doesn't know the difference. If it's a light blue dress, it's Cinderella, whether it's Disney or not!

4-0 out of 5 stars My daughter loves this!

Ah, even in inclement weather, it can be summertime in the playroom. And what's more summery than the age-old tradition of charring goodies over a flame? This toy barbecue grill for tots makes sizzling and grilling sounds, and has a bed of red "coals" that light up. A toy burger, drumstick, sesame seed buns, and veggies can be flipped with a spatula (all included) on the toy range, which has a lift-up lid, pushcart handle, storage space, and wheels. The grill is hollow, lightweight, and attracts the eye with primary colors. It's perfect for kids 2 to 4 years old, but please remind them that the grill does not work with real food--or fire, for that matter. Three AAA batteries, and adult assembly, required. --Diane Beall ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars LITTLE ONES GRILLING UP A STORM
My son loves to watch me grill on our Barbeque outside so this was the perfect gift for him.Comes with great sounds including the click of the automatic grill starter and the sizzling sounds of food cooking away to perfection.not only that but press the button to see the grill light up with simulated heat as the food cooks. How very cool is that!!!

Add to that it comes with all the food you need for your grill including burgers, corn on the cob and chicken along with a spatula, and your little one has all they need to begin grilling up a storm. And of course as with all Little Tykes toys, it is very reliable and very durable.Outstanding toy for anytime of the year!

5-0 out of 5 stars What a fun toy!
My 3 year old son has had this grill for over a year now and absolutely loves it!We keep it in the kitchen and he "cooks" with us all the time. The crackly grill sounds and the "glow" of the coals are really fun.The food fits, and stores nicely in it.The only thing he gets frustrated with is that the hamburger patty does not stay on the bun very well, but other than that I highly recommend this product. Not to mention the batteries do not wear out very fast, and my son plays with it quite frequently.

5-0 out of 5 stars My son loves this grill!
This past Christmas I looked all over for a barbeque grill for my son, so he could be like grandpa. Every place seemed to have the same one with a green top and eyes on it, but I was looking for something a little different. This one looked better than the other styles I had been seeing. This barbeque sounds like it is actually lighting up when he presses the green button. He plays with it so much we need to replace the batteries again. Awesome product! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT kitchen
We had a hand-me down kitchen since my first b/g twins were 18 months, they are now 3 and have 8 month old twin brothers. We decided that a pink kitchen wasnt fit for our family, so we went in search of a new one. It was between this one and the dream kitchen. They were both, non gender specific, and both interactive. We liked this one better because the colors are more appealing to kids (atleast it was to our 3 year olds in toys r us) and that it is a little more interactive. Of course this kitchen should be for pretend, but its nice that you can put eggs on the stove and it will tell you what it is, you can also buy additional interactive foods from toysrus and from amazon. It is very durable and has held up to much abuse. My 3 year olds love to cook when mommy does (ours is in the kitchen and the old one is in the playroom). We have a lot of dishes and food, and for the ones that dont fit in the kitchen, we put in a small basket next to it. ITs big enough for about 3-4 toddlers to play with at a time. It encourages sharing and cooaperation. My kids have alot of fun with it and they espcially like the oven, who knows why! I think this kitchen is great, cute friendly and a little more interactive than the lifestyles!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great fix for loudness!
I tried a suggestion that I got from a review back on January 2, 2004. Putting clear mailing tape over the round voice box (located under the black grill next to the burner) works great to reduce the sounds of the interactive burner and water sounds from the faucet to a much better level for both adults and the kids! This is easier done during the initial assembly, but the grill over the voice box can also be popped out by gripping the left side with two hands and sliding to the right, then lift up. It is easy to just snap it back in place after putting on the tape.

I researched this kitchen last year when my granddaughter was only one and kept it in mind to purchase this year. I've noticed that the manufacturer's statement has been shortened and I wanted everyone to know that the tap on the faucet has a "motion sensor"that activates dish and silverware clanging sounds with the running water sound, as long as there is movement under the spout. This is a great feature along with the food recognition on the burner. And you can use any plastic pan on the burner, not just the two that come with it. It's the food item in the pan that is somehow magically recognized!

I have learned that this model is being discontinued so if you are interested in this wonderful product, get it while you still can! The internet was the only place I was able to find it still available. (...)

5-0 out of 5 stars Lots of fun
Our 18 month old son recieved this kitchen as a Christmas gift last year and loves it. It is a perfect size for both him and his 5 year old brother. They both play with it daily, unlike other toys that they have recieved and forget about. The constuction is as tough as it gets. Boys being boys, this toy has been used for many things other than just a kitchen(spaceship), and has always stood up to any abuse. If you can live with the color it comes in, it's a great toy. I'm currently looking to see if there are more "food" pieces that go with it. One last bit, do not wait until the night before to put it together, it takes a good hour for one person, but it's easy. ... Read more

This durable little unit packs in a lot of functions, all of them eminently kid-friendly. Most basically, it’s a tape player that can be easily operated with big, colorful buttons, but it’s also a kind of karaoke machine, letting kids use the included microphone to sing along with the music, or sing a cappella. As if that wasn’t enough, there are multiple settings to warp your voice to sound like a monster, robot, bunny, or Martian. You might have to use your imagination to hear how some of the settings sound like what they’re supposed to (and what does a bunny sound like anyway?), but once you start experimenting with Voice Warp, it’s addictive fun even if you’re a big person. Don’t worry though, you can turn the filter off to hear your normal voice. --David Stoesz ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars very durable
I have the older version of this player. My daughter got it for Christmas when she was 3 and she still plays with it. (she is now 10) Her brother has also used it and now my Granddaughter has started to play with it. It has been bounced up and down stairs and even banged against the wall a time or two. It still plays and sounds good. My kids have enjoyed it so much that my Granddaughter is getting one of her own for her birthday this month.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun Voice Machine!
We bought this recorder for our son when he turned 3. I wanted him to have freedom to play his own tapes and also the fun of doing the cool voices. I didn't realize just how much he would actually like this. Not only does he carry it around and talk on it constantly- so does his 1 yr. sister (and his parents, too!). We have laughed so much playing with this as a family. I was hesitant about purchasing this at first but now I am so glad I did!

2-0 out of 5 stars Playback broke very quickly
As at least one other person noted, there is sometimes too much feedback when singing in to the mike. The unit seams built very strongly and is very heavy (too heavy to be carried and played with at the same time), but after very little use, the play button has stopped functioning on the tape player. ... "Sunsparkle" Pony's Celebration Castle requires basic construction, but putting it together with a grownup will be a fun adventure, as Pony lovers see the charming structure taking form. Once finished, "Sunsparkle" (an included and somewhat rare Pony) can happily trot around her master bedroom, vanity room, disco, kitchen, and a bathroom. Each room features furnishings or appliances that have clever innovations, such as a stove that doubles as a kitchen sink. There's also a working elevator, full-length mirror, hot air balloon, two balconies, tableware, Pony clothing, and a brush for "Sunsparkle's" mane. As a gift, a sparkling pink, child-sized crown is included. To top it all off, the castle features charming music and flashing lights on the disco dance floor! 5-0 out of 5 stars Great Toy
I read all the previous reviews and I was concerned about things falling off the castle. However, the only thing that comes apart is the attachable heart and sometimes one side of the hot air balloon which is easy to attach by an adult.I have a 2 1/2 year old and she is not destructive and she LOVES this toy.I think you should disregard all the negative reviews and PURCHASE this toy.I have not regretted it in the month we have had it.The Dance Studio is great, too.
If your child loves My Little Pony then, you HAVE to BUY the CASTLE.

1-0 out of 5 stars my little pony celebration castle
This toy is a piece of junk.Keeps falling apart.Would not recommend this toy to anyone.

3-0 out of 5 stars Cute as heck!Be prepared to glue the pieces on.
I have to give this castle an A + for how it looks. It is just plain cute! The castle comes with some very fun playing pieces, flower pot, kitchen sink that the ponies can open with their magnetic hooves, and, plates and forks that are fun.Cute design. The poor aspects of this toy are: It is poorly manufactured and I was close to taking it back until I decided to super glue the pieces on.After that, I was much more satisfied with the overall product. We threw out the crown - piece of junk that you couldn't wear anyway and the hot air balloon was tossed because it was "tired" looking but I kept the basket part the balloon went on so the ponies could stand on top of the castle. We have a little bit of difficulty getting the music to play when the pony steps on the platform and the stickers were out of control!I am hesitant to buy my little pony playsets, but we love the quality of the ponies themselves and my daugher who is 4 and I have spent a lot of time braiding the ponies hair and brushing them to look cute!Should have bought more ponies instead of the castle... ... This little wheelbarrow is the tool of choice for hauling flowers, grass clippings, toys, and other treasures. Not only does it look like a real wheelbarrow, it is a real wheelbarrow, with a red steel tray, a black triangular steel undercarriage, and finished hardwood handles. The tray has no-scratch edges and is 20 inches long, 16 inches wide, and 4 inches deep. The black plastic molded wheel is 7 inches in diameter and 1.25 inches wide. 5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT KITCHEN
We needed a play kitchen for our, at the time, 12 month old twin sons to play with at grandmas. We knew we wanted a lifestyle kitchen, but dream or deluxe? Well we couldnt see spending $300 on toy kitchen for grandmas house, so we bought the dream model. I really love this kitchen and my now 21 month olds do too!

AT TRU this seemed to be very well made, the decals were adorable and there were just soo many fun features. But we relly loved how it wasnt pink and covered with flowers, why can't boys cook too? Well the dream kitchen solved that problem! We had also planned on puting this toy kitchen in my mothersactual kitchen, and these colors wouldnt clash too much with the decor...

Well this kitchen took my husband and his brother about an hour to put together, but the directions were easy for us to follow. Our sons took to it imediatly and we were just in love! Although it doesnt have as much room as the Deluxe, it has plenty! There are 7 cabinets and a basket, plus the storage in the refriderator, oven, and microwave! There was also some counter space, so we didnt really need another table, but we got one anyway... We loved the little scenes, but put the stickers on BEFORE putting this kitchen together!!! We were actually missing the important sticker (the fall one in the window) so we called Step2 and they sent us ALL the stickers very promptly with no questions asked! That means I will have stickers to use to "touch up" the kitchen in later years.

The kitchen is extremely sturdy and my boys really give it some abuse!! Their favorite feature is the telephone, but what toddler doesnt like telephones? The interactive aspects to this kitchen are the ones with the controll panels (microwave and oven)It is very fun for our boys, and its one of their favorite toys at grandmas (along with my 9 other nieces and nephews ranging from 4 years to 12 years!!)

We love this kitchen and my mother cant believe how much fun our sons have in it, but at home we have the deluxe model which can accomidate more children, has more storage, comes with more food, has more interactions, has a dishwasher, and a double sink, but they are both really impressive. I would recomend you getting this kitchen if you dont have much room, if you dont have more than 1 child (unless you have 2 children close in age) or if you cant handout $300 dollars for a toy kitchen... But we love both and they are both great quality by Step2... we couldnt ask for anything more...

4-0 out of 5 stars Mother of 2
My in-laws had bought this kitchen for my daughter who was 18 month old Christmas 2003.My daughter still loves it and has tons of tea parties. My younger daughter who will be 2 loves playing with the kitchen also. So much so we are buying her, her own kitchen. The batteries on the light above the sink runs out to fast. And it is a little disappointing that the sink does not make running water sounds. My daughter actually puts one of the pots on the burner to make the running water sound. One of our neighbors has a 9 year old that sometimes comes over and she enjoys playing with the kitchen also. It is also very sturdy. We just purchased the kitchen with the washer and dryer for my other daughter and I hope they love that as much as they love this kitchen and I hope it holds up as well.

4-0 out of 5 stars Just bouth for my 20 Month old...really nice but...
What is the deal with the pot and pan that this comes with..ours are flat bottom and they do not activate the noises on the burner. The burner has little buttons that need a pan with a rim or something underneath to activate the burner...but ours do not.I read the other reviews but no one else seems to mention this. What's up with that? Now I need to go figure out if we were given the wrong pans with our set.

It is a great little kitchen overall and my daughter is loving it big time. It's only the grownup that notice the water faucet and fridge not making any noise! But hey, we paid for it so we should voice our complaints!

Again, overall a great kitchen.Pretty expensive considering no running water noise and the pots and pans don't activate the burner noise. You have to buy the extra food..it's a must to get the value out of this. Ours came with no food...even though the advertisment showed that it came with at least a few items...not in ours! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great kitchen to grow with your little girl!
This was a gift for my little girl's 1st birthday. She is about to turn two and this kitchen is still played with everyday! She now makes the sound of water coming out of the faucet and cooks for me on the stove.Perfect size!I think that she will be able to use it for a few more years yet.

5-0 out of 5 stars My daughter loves it and so does my wallet!
I did alot of research before purchasing this kitchen. I did not want one that made numerous sounds (I want my daughter to use her own imagination). This kitchen is perfect. She loves the full size frig. She is tall for her age 2 1/2 and this kitchen is perfect. I read reviews that it is small and it isn't!!! The dimensions are listed. If it were any bigger your child might as well just play in the kitchen with their parent... :-) This play kitchen is sturdy and doesn't have a bunch of tiny places for dirt and bacteria to hide.LOVE IT! Highly recommended it...
(also I found it very cheap on the walmart website)

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Kitchen Set!!!
My 2 year old girl LOVES this kitchen. She is always opening and closing the doors. It's held up great considering she is really rough on her toys. There are no nooks and cranies for the dirt to get into inside, so it's easy to clean. She drew with crayon on the outside, and I just used some cleaner and washed it right off. I purchased this about 3 months ago, and it was twice the price it is now. I wish I knew it would go down that much, but oh well. She loves it and it occupies her while I'm making dinner. It's small enough not to be intrusive in my kitchen, either. I thought it might be bigger, but it's just right. ... Read more

    Editorial Review

Well-designed with lots of terrific detail, Learning Resources' Calculator Cash Register completely satisfies a young child's hunger to play with bills, coins, cash drawers, and big numbers. The chiming cash register features a built-in solar calculator as its keypad, thus allowing kids to act as bankers, shopkeepers, and accountants all at once. A large cash drawer holds life-sized bills in four denominations (1, 5, 10, and 20), and four coin holders make room for embossed plastic pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters. There is even a credit card slot that dings when you correctly slide the faux VISA card through it.A suggested-activities booklet is included. Requires a 1.5V button cell battery (included) to make the chiming noise. No assembly required. Winner of awards from Dr. Toy, FamilyFun Magazine, and Oppenheim Toy Portfolio. ... Read more

I bought this for my 2 year old daughter last year and she has played with it all year.It works well and the voice is not too annoying or loud. When you are cleaning up the money you can open the cash drawer without the voice coming on which, believe me, is a huge plus.It is a real calculator and when she presses numbers it says them out loud which is educational. And when she presses the minus key really fast over and over again, it says "Mine, Mine, Mine, Mine" which cracks us all up :)

When I got this toy i played with it for such along time and still do. You only spend $29.99 on it and it is money well spent. You make the right choice if you get this toy. I'm buying this toy for my son's 3rd birthday because he makes a beeline to it everytime we go to our parent-child preschool class. He usually sets up a toy phone nearby, too. I get to be the customer and bring a basket of toy food to him which he "scans" on the notepad area. It's nice when toys leave something to the imagination. He loves the play bills and coins and pretending to make change.I believe that this toy will grow with my child and still be fun for him in a few years.

I figure that if this toy has survived daily use by multiple 2-4 year olds, it will survive around our house. If it doesn't, then I will update this posting!!! ... Read more

These ponies are totally adorable! Princess Peppermint is the red one, Tropical Delight is the purple one, Flutterbutter is the white one, and Banjo Blue is the blue pony. My favorite is Princess Peppermint, I think she's the prettiest. They are'nt hard plastic. Their made of a soft rubber. I think its pretty good, that you can get 4 ponies in one giftbox. I reccomend in addition to these ponies, getting Fluttershy, Sew-In-Sew, Strawberry Swirl, Serpendity, Bumblesweet, Daisy Jo, Forsythia, Merriweather, and I have one named Golden Delicious. I would recommend more, but I forget their names. Anyway I hope all MLP fans, enjoy the ponies and their accsessories as much as me.:-D

    5-0 out of 5 stars A Collector's Review
There isn't much to say about these ponies. They're simply adorable... and you really can't beat the price. It's like buying three ponies and getting one free. Plus, the fact that this is a TRU exclusive set adds to the collector value of it. All-in-all, it's a good value for your money and a fine addition to any collection.

I also think little girls who are fond of MLPs would enjoy this set, as well. It's nice to get so many ponies at once - and at this price, it's fairly cheap, too! :)

Collector Note: This set only comes with 4 pony points, which is a bit of a disappointment. With four ponies, you'd think it would have 8. Or at least 6, since you're paying the same price as three regular ponies (which each have 2).

5-0 out of 5 stars You just have to love these little ponies!!
My 6 year old daughter just loves these little ponies, she doesnt really play with them as much as collect them and they all are displayed on her window sill. She actually enjoys collecting and playing with all of the MLP ponies and accessories. Her grandfather actually drilled wholes through 3 of these ponies and strung them with beads and made her a beautiful necklace which she just loves to wear.I'm glad the My little pony collection is back!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Cute and fun and take up less space then the big ponies!
My three girls prefer these little ponies to the regular sized My Little Ponies. I also prefer them because my girls are not into 'grooming' them, only playing with them, so the standard sized ponies are always very matted looking. These little ones are jointed in the neck, cute, and colorful. They are made very well. The tins do bend fairly easy but they bend back just as easy and it hasn't been a big problem for us as the ponies are usually loose in the storage bin and not always put back in the tins nor are the tins always used when the ponies are. My girls love putting these ponies on the My Little Pony dance studio which spins them around. Very fun. My girls have no interest in the big ponies since these came along, including my 2 1/2 year old. We bought the first series of six some time before Christmas and now we have purchased the new series of six more. I hope they keep coming. If your girl likes to brush the hair and do the dress-up hair bow thing, then this probably won't be best for her. But if she just likes to play with ponies or enjoys setting up cute collections, this might be perfect for her as well.

    5-0 out of 5 stars A Collector's Review
I'm a 26-year-old MLP collector, so please take that into consideration when you read this review. I am obviously looking for different things in my toys than the average child would be, so if you are considering buying this for a child, this review may not be that helpful to you :)

The Tiny Tin ponies are a collector's dream. Such tiny little replicas of the ponies we already know and love - and such adorable little tins to keep them in. Not to mention that the tins come in handy for storing candy, medicine, safety pins, paper clips, pony points - you name it. I've even bought extras to be able to use. They make a great (and adorable) mini-first-aid-kit for your car or purse. I love how each tin has a different design even on the inside, too. It's such a nice detail :)

That said, I would advise any collectors who are particular about the condition of their ponies to try to find these in their local toy store instead of buying the multi-pack here. I ended up having to replace my Daisy Jo because of a dark purple smudge right in the middle of her face. On the other hand, most of the ponies WERE in fine condition and you really can't beat the convenience of getting them all at once - and the little cardboard box they come in that perfectly nestles all 6 tins is strangely cute - and perfect for storing them. Whether you take the chance on getting all 6 at once or try to hunt them out yourself is really a judgement call that only you can make. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Are you sane?
WEll you wont be if you buy this grill!!! My MIL bought this toy for my 21 month old twin boys to play with while daddy grills outside... is this toy a nightmare!!!

First of all educational value... NONE... who wants their TODDLERS (who are in the copying stage by the way) repeating the same rude and innapropriate gas jokes that this grill says? I have heard them making fart sounds with their tounges, and than saying something resembling "that wasnt me!"... TOTALLY INNAPROPRIATE... and my sons thought it was hysterical to grill eachothers faces, and I found them doing the same thing on the real grill (IT WAS OFF... DONT WORRY GUYS), though with the NON TALKING grills they have never had a problem... gee??

DURABLITY... again this toy is broken with wind... who designed a lid for toddlers that falls off if a speck of lint falls onto it... The toy is not made well at all...

ABNORMALITIES (although it cant be abnormal for THIS toy because it happened to all of the reviewers) The food wont stay on the spatula, NEVER so its just soo fustrating, even for me, let alone two toddlers!!! The grill doesnt know what he's talking about because if you put the ketchup in his hand he says it mustard and vise versa, same thing with the fork and spatula... UHG!!! This toy also turned on if anyone walked by it, I mean seriously!!! It would turn on if no one was there... talk about lonely!!! And we DID turn it off and it did say "see ya later" when you pushed the red button, but it still talked!!! But when it got a little soda (and I mean about an ounce) on it... forget it!! I took out the batteries because I thought it was broken but it still talked, and now constantly... AHHH!!! We put it in the closet, and it was getting louder!! SERIOUSLY... we ended up breaking it with a sledge hammer, I am sorry for all of you who wind up with the same problems we faced... We now use our Deluxe kitchen inside, and a cuter grill (that you ca actually grill on it when standing!!) for outside... NO MORE TALKING APLIANCES FOR US

Maybe its just our grill, but this drove us off the wall to the point that we viciously broke this toy... I mean come on.. and I am NOT EVEN EXAGERATING!!!! and the worse thing... OUR SONS WERE PETRIFIED!!! They would scream if it talked to them, they would cry when it would start talking in the night, they thought a ghost was turning it on... So now that this grill is "dead" there is a restored peace in our house... It SHOULD be ILLEGAL to sell such an annoying toy to toddlers... please dont buy this grill

My son received this toy for his 2nd birthday. He couldn't wait to get it out of the box!Once the grill was out of the box, he actually sat for more than 30 minutes and played with it.It's the first time I have ever seen him sit longer than 2 minutes! He loves it! My 6 & 8 year old enjoy playing with the grill with their little brother.Great gift!

For a parent - the two improvements that I would have Playskool make would be something to hold the plastic food in and a on/off switch.Mine does not go off at all until my son activates it but I'm afraid when the batteries start going low it might start going off. The lid on ours does not come off.

3-0 out of 5 stars Tip Toe by this Toy
We thought this was cute, and both my 2 yr old and 4 yr old enjoy playing with it albeit for very short periods of time. However, the lid comes off more often than it should and it's easy to lose your burgers & buns in the toy box. My biggest complaint about this toy is that it is sound activated, so even at 3am a bump in the night sets this toy off. Take care when walking by as it will loudly say, "FIRE ME UP!", usually just after you get the baby to sleep or some other time you would like quiet. The kids like it, but this toy's cuteness rubs off quickly and it becomes annoying. ... Read more

Polly doesn't need to hop around town to fill her day with fun. Her way to "vaca" is to do it all in one place. This set allows Polly and her best buds (buds not included) to shop, sleep, and play at one cool "resort", thanks to detailed rooms to be filled with 45 different pieces of furniture, accessories, and clothes. In one doll-day, Polly can hang at the hotel, catch some rays in a hot tub, eat great pizza and cuisine, charge out her credit cards at fancy shops, or catch at thrill on the amusement park's real, 8-inch diameter Ferris wheel. 5-0 out of 5 stars I love this hotel!
Hi I LOVE this hotel! There are 2 lovely beds so then polly wont sleep alone. At first I was mad at this set I tought the rooms were to small and the hotel was dum well... I was very wrong the rooms are a nice size for polly's. The roller coster is SO fun and you get a ton of outfits. The only thing wrong is that when I opend it the handel of the yellow purse broke but it was kinda of dum anayway! I realy enjoy this set and so do my sisters and we play with it ALL the time. I think Mattel should be proud. I realy think kids of all ages can play with this set like 3-13 years old Im 11 and LOVE it! I gota go now by! - Jackie

5-0 out of 5 stars AWESOME TOY FOR ANYONE!!
Even though the manufactuor says Polly Pockets are for ages 3-7, I don't really think that is apropriate. 3 year olds could swallow the pieces or something, and who says you have to stop playing with them when you're seven? I am quite a bit older than seven, and I still play with them!! I have a whole collection, and this is one of my favorites!! There are four rooms in the hotel, plus the roller coaster!! For people who say this toy is not durable, I don't know what you're talking about!! My toy stays together perfectly, and the roller coaster always stays on the track. This toy isn't exactly educational, but who cares? Toys are supposed to be fun, not an excuse to force more work on a child. But I guess it teaches you about hotels and stuff....
I also highly reccomend the other 3 playsets to go with this one. I personally think they become a bit boring without the other ones.

5-0 out of 5 stars So cool!!!!!!!!!!!
I just got this and I already fell in love with it!You can pretend the dolls are staying at the hotel. It has a room with two beds and a closet that pulls out. There is a gift shop with a balcony that pulls out, a desk that you can purchase your items at, a cash register, spots to sell cloths and purses, and a rack that holds a mirror, sunglasses, and magazines. The lobby has a reception desk to check in and out of the hotel, a couch, tv stand, and pull out floor for a cafe. The cafe holds a table, two chairs, and a hamburger tray. Another room has the roller coaster rolling in for the dolls to get off. The roof can have a hot tub and a lounge chair. It is really fun! ... Read more

Often the best way to get the housework done is to have your children working by your side. When it's time to vacuum, preschoolers can use this toy Hoover right alongside an adult using a realvacuum cleaner. Sized for preschoolers, the navy and black, hard plastic vacuum stands 26.25 inches highand has adjustable levers in front, working lights, and a realistic motor sound. There's a flexible black hoseon one side and three yellow plastic attachments inside a storage compartment with a clear door. Thoughthe Hoover is fairly sturdy, the door isn't the most durable part of it; after a while it may begin to fall open, making the attachments fall on the floor. There's also a removable cloth dust bag inside, although thesuction action is so slight that very little dirt is actually collected. Four C batteries are required (notincluded). --Marcie Bovetz ... 4-0 out of 5 stars We bought this for our one year old for Christmas
My son loves to vacuum with me so we though that it would be fun to get him his own vaccuum. We got this one and he loved it right away. Although the sound effect got annoying really fast, he played with it for about 3 weeks before he was bored with it.After that he took the accesories and ran around the house hitting things with them. I trashed it by May. It was so beat up and in pieces and my furniture and walls were beat up.

My 15M baby was so afraid of our vacuum cleaner that I had not used the vacuum for a long time. Then I bought the Hoover Vacuum and was surprised by how cute it was and it really works as a vaccum cleaner. Now my son loves to vacuum with me (using his)this is a fantastic toy! The attachments come out,(the clear plastic door comes off easy too.. does not break) the card board air filter comes offwith a little door, the door to the vaccum bag (cloth filter) comes off and it really collects dust. I clean the little bag with my vaccum.

This pretend cash register may seem like all fun and games to your little one but is actually teaching him coin and money values, coin identification, numbers, counting, and quantities. The register comes with a stack of play pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters, all encased in easy-to-handle plastic chips. In explore mode, the smart coin reader on the register identifies all coins as kids drop them in, teaching their name and value. Four additional price tags represent larger monetary values and as kids slide price tags over the flashing scanner or drop coins in the register, they learn how to add values together and make totals. Kids can also set the register to price check mode to play a fun game that teaches number identification. Final checkout reinforces numbers, coins, and coin combinations once again and plays a fun song when the register opens. Throughout playtime, kids will receive encouragement and requests to keep playing from the LeapFrog's friendly voice. --Cristina Vaamonde ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Very Dissappointing!
My daughter loves money and cash registers and anything having to do with either one. However, after only one day the tags stopped scanning completely. The coins get stuck constantly, so you the parent has to keep unjamming them! My daughter is only 2, but can count extremely well with money. This toy was a complete let down to both of us because it does not add the same way a real cash register does. Don't waste your money on this one!

1-0 out of 5 stars Can Get Annoying Very Quickly
My daughter had a cash register which was cheap, didn't have a ringing sound and broke fairly quickly, so I decided to get her this one last Christmas, because it was made by Leapfrog and seemed to be durable and came with counting games. What a mistake! The only plus is that it's durable.I mean, that's the ONLY plus. Here's all the minuses:

1.The coins jam extremely easily.Luckily, there's a little access slot to unjam the coins. When my daughter played with it the first two times, we put the cover for the slot back on.The third time she played with it (and the third time it jammed) we threw the cover away, since we realized that every time she plays with it it was going to jam.And it does!My daughter likes putting the coins in very quickly and doing that it's easy for them to get stuck. It takes a butter knife or a screw driver to unstick them.I told her not to put the coins in too quickly, but she still does, and of course they jam again and again. To say I'm sick of unjamming these coins every thirty seconds is an understatement.

2.It's extremely loud. Now, I have a very high tolerance for loud toys.I grew up in a household where the TV was always on at full volume and everybody was always screaming at each other, so what others consider to be 'loud' toys, seem very reasonable to me.So, take it from me...when I say this thing is extremely loud, for most people it would be unbearably, blow your eardrums off loud.I would not be surprised if this thing registered a hundred decibels or more with one of those sound meter things.Luckily, there is a volume control, but unfortunately when the cash register is first turned on, it's on the highest volume setting. You have to click the volume button about fourteen times to get it to a reasonable setting (again, which to most people would still be considered loud). At first, I thought my daughter was turning it up on purpose and yelled at her, thinking no toy company in their right mind would have the setting naturally that loud.I felt like a total jerk when I realized that she wasn't doing it, and that Leapfrog wasn't in their right mind when the set the volume for this product. If I had tried it out in a store and saw it was this noisy, I would have never bought it for her.So, besides unjamming the coin slot every time, you also have to turn it down every time. (Don't expect your kid to do this--my daughter doesn't mind the rock concert volume at all.)This is a huge minus for any parent who is not deaf and would like to stay that way.

3.My daughter doesn't like the games. My daughter at first played the games, but she got sick of them very quickly.I think it's because they're a little too complicated for the age range, and like others have said, the games have too much talking and not enough action. There also isn't a setting where the toy would function like a regular cash register. When my daughter does play with it nowadays, it's usually with the toy turned off.

4.There's nowhere to store the price tags.Though the coins are large, and they all fit in the till, the price tags are too big to go in there too and with a toddler, that means a higher chance of misplacing them.I like to have all the small parts accessible to my daughter so she doesn't have to dig through the toybox looking for them, but unfortunately, we're constantly hunting for the stupid price tags.

Though it looks like a very nice toy, I would not recommend it to anyone. It's definitely more annoying, both to parents and children, than it is fun.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not all that I had hoped...But daughter likes it!
This register does have some fun, and educational qualities, as you would expect from the Leapfrog brand.I bought it knowing that it would be more durable than a cheap $10 bo-bo brand one would be (and it is).
We gave it to my 3 1/2 yr old daughter for Christmas.I also bought her the shopping cart set too. (It's nice bcs the pieces interchange.)
My daughter likes it and plays with it fairly often. She will out-grown it soon though.
    Here's my biggest letdown list:
1.) The coins get stuck.Slip a butter knife in there, and you can get loosen them with no problem. If your child will excitedly push coins through as fast as possible- this will happen.
2.) The automated voice only counts to ten.Yes, you can only count to ten.The coins are all identified correctly, but when it is in the counting mode, it's only to ten.
3.) There is no "free-play" option.Sometimes, we like (my daughter and I!) to play store, and just want to ring things up based on what we type into the register (like a calculator). You cannot ring things up for say $9.99 (and have the computer-voice identify the amount). Instead, you have to turn the thing completely off (and just-gasp-PRETEND to), or risk hearing the voice interrupt itself endlessly. It is basically designed to ring up the included Leapfrog toys only. Nor can you type in the payment amount of say $10, let alone figure change. I'm not sure you can ring up anything over $1.29?! It also doesn't "total up" multiple items.
4.) There is no debit/credit card option. How sad is that?! My daughter LOVES paying at the real grocery store and that was one feature mommy overlooked on this machine. My daughter is bummed that it doesn't have that option to swipe a card. Maybe that's a good thing?!

    Things I do Like:
1.) The coins are realistic looking and have the safety covers. They are color coded to help child distinguish them while learning. They aren't a choking hazard.
    2.) Volume control.Thank you Leapfrog.
3.) Unisex color, durable plastic, cute kids' voices.
4.) Works with the shopping cart.

Bottom line, my daughter likes it and it is suitable for toddlers, but if you want a more realistic cash register toy, this isn't it. ... Read more

    Editorial Review

A realistically noisy pretend lawn mower with fun visual effects, this one is likely to get a good deal of use by toddlers who want to play grownup. The coolest part of this toy is the see-through plastic mulch compartment. It's full of tiny colored beads that dance around when the mower is in motion, giving the illusion of grass being mulched. An on/off key, gear switch, gas cap, and a loud popping noise add to the entertaining components. Made in typically durable Little Tikes fashion, this toy will stand up to many miles of lawn mowing. --Jane Snyder ... Read more
