Excellent Toy
My daughter played with this toy at her cousins house and just loved it! I had seen a lot of the Melissa & Doug toys online but never in person. My sister in-law told me she got it at TJ Maxx so I went there to get one for my daughter. It was $12 or $14 and of course there was no shipping charge. Very durable high quality toy.

My son loves it, but it's WAY too loud
My son loves this toy, and we haven't had any durability problems (and we've had it for about 6 months). My only complaint is that the toy is extremely loud.

This is a horrible present
I bought this as gift for my nephew, who loves to act like he is weedeating.Well the toy only lasted for about an hour before it broke.The shaft broke and I plan on returning it.I can't believe a toy that is broken so easily is still being sold.I won't be buying anymore toys made by this company again. He was so upset that it broke, so now he has to pretend with sticks again.If I could have rated this toy any lower I would have given it less than one star.

Very Disappointing!!!
My son also had this toy for about 3 days before it broke.The shaft broke in half, but because he loved it so much I decided to buy another one.This one lasted longer, maybe 2 weeks before it broke also.I continued to let him play with it because he loved it so.Soon though the round bottom part began to crack and all the little beads would come out whenever he turned it on.Will not buy another one.Very cheap manufacturing, especially for a toy geared towards little ones. ... Good idea - very poor quality
We were so excited to order this item. Sadly the quality is very poor. We have had it set up for less than a week and the front "counter" has broken off and one of the front panels has had a leg rip off. My kids love the idea of this item but it is extremely flimsy particle type board -it has basically disintergrated berfore our eyes . Even with general play it sways back and forth, a little scary if little ones are playing in it.I am going to call the maker - hopefully we can repair this (...)

Fun, Colorful and Durable!
I bought this last year for Christmas and my girls use it virtually every day.They have put on puppet productions, used it as a lemonade stand, a club house, a shop and a thousand other uses.As you can see, it is extemely colorful and surprizingly durable.This was money well spent.I highly recommend it.

Great imaginations at work!
This is a great puppet theater, sound stage, restaurant, play house, etc...My daughter was 4 when she received this from Santa.He only wished he had found it sooner!My daughter continues to love it, and will now be sharing it with her younger sister.Many hours of pretend have been spent inside and outside this theater.We especially love it because it is large enough inside for two or more children.All the others we researched were too small for our needs.The colors are so vibrant and fun, we get tons of compliments from all our company.All the kids gravitate towards it! ... Great Tea Set!
I have a 3 year old daughter and was looking for functional tea set that she could really use.We Love this tea set!It can hold real food and the tea pot holds water.It can be washed and seems to be durable.She eats snacks foods out of the little bowls every day!I noticed a lot of the tea sets make music or have stickers.We don't want pretend tea parties - we want real ones and this is perfect!

a great set for cooking show performances
I bought this tea set because I've always loved them as a kid. It's a good price for the quality you get. I used it for my performance projects, where I do cooking shows and serve food on tea sets. Sometimes I also bring them to class pot-lucks, and everyone's forced to use them when they forget to bring paper plates. The only downside is that it's hard to take grease off of them, but that's because I like to serve real food on them. I have to wash it several times in hot water before the grease comes off. I don't know if the material is dish washer safe but I'd rather wash by hand than melt the entire set in the machine.

I bought this set for my daughter (21 months old) after looking and looking for the 'perfect' tea set!While looking I realized that MANY of the tea sets for sell these days make noise.Now, don't get me wrong, I do love toys that make noise... but not EVERY toy needs to make noise.Especially not a teaset.My daughter loves to have tea parties with her stuffed animals and I LOVE that she is using her imagination while doing so (if it was making noise - she may not be using her imagination 'as much')!It seems to be very durable... her little brother (8 months old) has chewed on peices (although we do try to keep him from doing that) and crawled over them and they are still in perfect condition!Also, unlike some other teasets, these peices are all big enough that she can actually get some pretend food on them to serve during her 'tea parties'!Definitely the best tea set out there for any little princess! ... Sing With Me, NOT
Very cute toy, if it worked.The cd player would not play a cd on the first one I bought and the same thing when I exchanged it for a new one.Finally, I got my money back.Very dissapointed.

flimsy and too loud
We got this for our 4 year old. Right away, certain CD's wouldn't spin up in the player. Even though there is a separate volume control for the 2 mics and the music, if you turn the mic volume all the way down you still can't hear the music through the vocals. The speakers are lousy, but that might be expected on what is essentially a toy. Don't expect anywhere near decent boom-box speaker quality. The whole thing rattles with the vocals.There is an echo effect that you can control the delay on, so you get this long echo or a shorter one just to enhance the vocals.That's about the only cool part.Also, it doesn't come with a power cord, so batteries only unless you pay extra for the cord.We ended up returning the thing to the store very disappointed.Even if the spin-up problem turned out to be a glitch, we were so unimpressed with it in general that we didn't want a replacement. ... Good Toy for the Price
We bought this toy as a Christmas gift for our almost 3 year old and he LOVES it!Even our 11 month old likes it (he uses it to help him walk).I think it is a fairly sturdy toy, but I could see how it may not last long for children that are rough with it.My son has already ripped some of the cardboard food boxes because he HAD to check if there was actually food in them.So those may not last as long as the cart.But overall, I think it is a pretty good toy for the price.

Flexible enough to let kids play their own way
Our 3 children have had hours of fun with this toy during the 2+ years we've had it in our home.True, the food is long gone (cardboard boxes - toddlers - no surprise there).We've also needed lash the front piece on with some string (again, it's not constructed to be a bumper car but toddlers don't often keep their play inside the box).The simple design means that when they twist it beyond reason, it's flexible enough for me to pop it back into alignment.It's small enough to be comfortable for the 2 year old to push(for hours), and close enough to the real thing to remain interesting for a 5-6 year old.It's gender neutral, forgiving enough to go down a flight of stairs (repeatedly) without breaking, light enough to not squish whatever's at the bottom.... and sometimes they do even use it to play grocery.

We got this cart a year ago and it has held up great with the use of two girls 2 and 3.5 at the time we got it.The food didn't last long, but the cart has been great. Loud!
We bought this leaf blower for my 2-and-a-half-year-old son who loves to watch people blow leaves.It was a huge hit.After he opened it he didn't want to open any other gifts.My only complaint about this toy is that it is SO loud and there is no volume adjustment!We have many toys that make sounds, but this is crazy.While I appreciate the "reality" of the sounds, they need to be toned down a bit so the adults can still hear themselves talk. ... A Special Toy For A Special Boy!
My son has autism, so I am constantly on the lookout for toys that will help him in everyday task. The phone is FANTASTIC! In only two day, he got the hang of the phone and learned his home phone number! The kicker was for praise, he heard mommy's voice saying, he got it right! No mechanical, strange voices! Good Job! Great Product!

Gets loads of play! Kids of all ages love this.
This toy can be used by babies and toddlers and up. Younger kids can use it simply as a pretend phone. When certain buttons are pressed there is a dial tone sound, a ringing sound, and a "busy signal" sound. My youngest was one year old when he began playing with this, randomly pressing buttons, listening, and really pretending to talk.

Older kids (5 or maybe 4) can use this as a teaching tool, with the parent. As described by the manufacturer (above) this has the capability to program in numbers, record your voice, and practice calling 911 or practice calling other important phone numbers.

So far we've only used the toy to play with during imaginative play. My kids have played with it so much that it is worth the cost. Kids who visit for playdates also gravitate to this toy and love to play with it. I highly recommend this as a great toy for pretend play.

Good, but not great
If you are shopping at your local Toys R Us store, you will find that the variety of play kitchens is definately lacking.This kitchen was not my first choice, but I liked that it is small enough to fit in a small bedroom, and the colors match my daughters room decor.I, myself, am not really crazy about this kitchen, but my daughter likes it.Yes, the oven is too small, and the door can be a bit difficult to close, and yes the fridge door doesn't close all the way - which if you look in the photo, you can see that it is not completely closed!!But all in all, she likes it, she plays with it and she doesn't really know what she is missing - if anything at all.

Okay for price I paid
I bought this for less than third of its original price on (...) and the product looked good as new so I don;t have too much to complain. IT might be small but I thought it wasn't over bearing in any room, went beautifully with any decor and was still hours of fun!

kids love the kitchen
I got a good deal on this kitchen on ebay so my expectations were probably not as high.The kitchen was a little bit of a pain to put together, not difficult but took a while.My 2 and 3 year old boys have enjoyed it so far and although they are rough it had endured fine for several months.As others have mentioned, the inside of the oven is small (which hasn't bothered the boys yet) and doesn't stay closed (I put small felt furniture pads on either side of the door and it is functional now).Our kitchen doesn't make water sounds, but the other ones are loud and clear. ... Super item -- flawed packaging
Precious, precious item.My 9 year old daughter just loves it.It might seem young for a girl this age, but she loves to play school, and she loves having all the "tricky" things right there together in one package.A sweet toy.One problem:Seller did not include the markers in the package!List of items included clearly says "markers," but the markers did not make it into the package.Oh well.These are easy enough to replace.We were unable to get this package before Christmas as item was out of stock.Even when we ordered it after Christmas, our ship date was listed as some time in March.Surprise!Product arrived before January 1!Grandparents, for a young girl this would be a wonderful, fun gift. MY SON RECEIVED THE PHONE AS A BIRTHDAY GIFT.HE LOVES IT.IT IS NOT SO LOUD LIKE MOST TOYS AND YOU ACTUALLY HAVE TO PUT YOUR EAR TO THE PHONE SO YOU CAN HEAR. doll armoire
This armoire was bought for my daughter for her American Girl clothes.The trunks from them are too expensive and this one matched the doll bed set (the one for $164) perfectly.It holds alot of clothes and the bottom is deep (the drawers that are shown in front is only for show, there aren't any drawers) hence the deepness.She uses them for shoes and boots or hats, etc.It seems pretty sturdy too. ... Broke almost immediately
The magnetic kitties are awesome, but the main part of the toy broke almost immediately (one of the little platforms broke off).I tried to glue it back together for my daughter but it came off again right away.I suppose it's really not any less durable than any other Polly Pocket playset; they're all fun but not too well-made.Oh well, my 5-year-old doesn't seem to mind.

This is one of the most fun Polly Pocket sets we own!!!
This has got to be the most entertaining of all the Polly Pocket sets that my daughters own.The kitties have magnets in their feet that help them to swing from the trapeze.My girls have been creating all kinds of neat tricks for the kitties to do.There aren't too many pieces to get lost like some of the other Polly Pocket sets which is a big PLUS and all of the pieces fit inside the little doors.I would definitely buy this again for birthday gifts!!! ... Very dissapointed
We were very dissapointed with this toy.Our son seemed interested at first but very rarely plays with it anymore.He is 11 months old now and it just doesn't hold his interest.He may walk over and hit the nails a few times or drop the balls through once or twice but definately doesn't stay with it.I have talked to other parents whose kids love it though.They are all different and like different toys.

Perfect first "workshop"...
This workshop is absolutely PERFECT for our 11 month old son.He received it on Christmas morning from Santa and has LOVED playing with it!

His favorite thing to do is bang on the nails with the hammer.Once hit they will light up and make silly noises!He LOVES doing this.He also likes to drop balls in the opening at the top and watch as they fall down - which makes it play music!He gets so excited playing with this - it keeps him entertained for a good period of time (maybe 20 minutes... pretty good for an 11 month old boy) and he will come back to it many times throughout the day!

Displeased!
The food, when I bought the set for my 2 1/2 year old, looked like a lot of fun.But, upon opening it, half of the items had to be put away for when she gets older, because they were too small.As for the rest of the set, everything is hollow and not very durable.I've thrown out alot of the fruits and vegetables, because they were smashed and broken in no time.I'd recommend trying to find another set!

Choking hazard!
My daughter got this toy for Christmas, and I have thrown most of the pieces away after digging them out of her mouth!THey are so small that they fit right in there.The little "cans" are paper covered, which fall right off after an unexpected dunking in the potty or bathtub.I wanted something for her kitchen set, but these are way too small.
