5-0 out of 5 stars awesome!!!
I would not have thought much of the item based on packaging but we received this as a gift and it is my 2 1/2-year old's favorite. She loves the thing. It is now one of our favorite gifts to give. I have not heard of any problems and all the parts are sturdy. It is very cute to see how every little girl 'knows' to sling it over her wrist (I don't carry my purse that way..) Although, we are as likely to find trains and matchbox cars inside as we are to find the lipstick. Definately a great little item!

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent!
My daughter got this purse for Christmas last year when she was 18 months old. She is still playing with it all of the time! She loves to take her purse everywhere, just like mommy does! :) She is so proud of her purse that she is constantly showing it to people. Her favorite things out of the purse are the lipstick, keys, and card case. She loves to put her own items in the purse as well. This is a very cute set!

4-0 out of 5 stars Cute, very cute
I wanted to get my only little girl her own purse, so she could be like mommy... I have 4 children, 3 year old b/g twins, and 8 month old b/b twins. she got this purse when she was 18 months and she has some new "favorites", but this was a hit anyways. She loves the lipstick, and the sunglasses case (we bought her disney ones) and the mirror. But there are better ones out there, we bought her some chapstick and a little better "plastic" lipstick to keep in there, we supervise with capstick. The keys and phone are the only things she didnt pay attention to, because we have better ones. SO if you dont have the things that come in this purse, its great, but we did... so I have bought her other purses, that she likes better ... Read more

Editorial Review

There's plenty of potential for imagination and fun in this Little People bundle that features both the Little People Animal Sounds Zoo and the Little People Petting Zoo from Fisher-Price. The Animal Sounds Zoo features six different animals--a polar bear, a seal, a monkey, a lion, a bird, and an elephant--and environments for children to interact with. Each habitat floor has a small paw print that elicits the animal's sound when pressed. Also included are two fence pieces and a small plastic car for the zookeeper. Requires three AA batteries (not included).

The Petting Zoo invites plenty of play with a trio of baby animals--a camel, a zebra, and a kangaroo. Also included are a zookeeper figure named Michael and his vegetable cart. Children can pretend to buy tickets or food at the small 4-inch-tall hut with a window that opens and closes as Michael assumes the role of food vendor and ticket taker. A small red plastic fence attaches easily to either side of the visitor's booth to create an enclosed area for the animals. Each animal is made of soft, squeezable plastic and is about 3 inches tall, perfect for small hands. --N. Mered ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Lots of value in this toy!
Second only to the Little People Farm, this toy is a favorite of my 15 month old! It's easy to use, durable, well-priced, and has a lot of educational value.Because of this toy, my daughter knows the names of the zoo animals and the sounds they make (a seal says orr orr orr, and a monkey says ooh ooh ooh ahh ahh ahh). This can be helpful to parents like us who have no clue what sounds a seal makes! The only things I don't like about this toy are 1) the monkey is attached to his tree and doesn't come off; and 2) the polar bear makes a splashing-in-the-water sound and I think that can be confusing to a child when all of the other animals make a real animal sounds.Other than that, this is a great toy!

5-0 out of 5 stars Love That Monkey
My daughter received this for her 1st bday and loves it. She loves to hit the buttons and hear the different noises. But most of all she loves that bouncing monkey. Her face lights up everytime he jumps, and shes so proud she can do it herself. She loves the little animals and walks the house holding them. Plus the little car that comes with it, she drives it through the house too. Great toy, I went out and bought more little people toys for her. She loves them all!

5-0 out of 5 stars We love it!
My two sons just love this toy. My eldest is 2.5 and loves animals and it's a great imaginary play toy now, and my 10 month old just loves hitting the monkey and opening and closing the doors and sucking on the animals. Both will play with it for extended periods of time. We have had it for 1.5 years and it has been used nearly every day of that time, in many different ways. ... Read more

Editorial Review

This pretend kitchen is a wonderful toy to keep toddlers occupied while you're trying to cook dinner. And, for those who are short on kitchen space, this kitchen playset sets up into a full-size kid's kitchen and then folds flat to store in a closet when playtime is done. The play kitchen features an oven and refrigerator that really open and a two-burner stove with dials that make cooking sound effects, such as sizzling or bubbling, when turned. The set comes with 18 different accessories, including a phone, a covered pot, a pan, two plates, two glasses, two forks, two spoons, a spatula, a serving spoon, a salt shaker, and several fake food items--a fried egg, green beans, and macaroni and cheese. At first glance, assembly looks daunting, but well-diagramed instructions make setup fairly easy. This playset requires three AA batteries to power the sound effects. --Cristina Vaamonde ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Disappointing - not what I expected from Fisher Price
The oven door does not stay shut on the one I bought - I should have checked the reviews first, but thought Fisher Price quality was reliable and consistent. Apparently not any more. : (
I didn't even show this to my granddaughter, and am returning it to Amazon. I'll look for another one made by another company, but this time will check the reviews first.
Also, a little piece of bad design: the shelf in the oven is too high to put in the (included) casserole with the lid on.

5-0 out of 5 stars Can't keep my daughter away from it!
We decided to buy this particular kitchen because it is foldable, makes sounds and has every essential a real kitchen has.Our daughter who is 17 months just loves it.We have NOT had any problems with it.As far as the oven and fridge door not staying shut (commented by other reveiws), ours does.In fact I think it's a little hard for my daughter to open and close.Which is fine because then she doesn't have all the excessories out at once! This is the first toy my daughter runs to when she wakes up in the morning.Definately worth $49.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for Grandma's House!
I bought this a year ago when all three of my grandchildren were coming to visit for 10 days.(The twins(boy & girl)were 22 months and the other girl 19 months.)Of everything I had, this is what they played with ... almost constantly!Since then they have all come to visit again and it's still the hit!The littlest (now 2 1/2) has stayed at my house for the past few months and this is still the thing she goes back to over and over again!I bought this figuring when the grandkids are away it folds up and is easy to store! Now that my granddaughter is moving to her new house (along with mommy & daddy)...her mommy wants to take it with them!I thought they would want a bigger & sturdier one when it came to one just for her but no....this is the one!Think we'll be buying another! ... Editorial Review

Pretending to be a grownup is a favorite pastime of toddlers everywhere. And with this Sizzle 'N Glow Grill from Fisher-Price, the budding chef in your family can enjoy an afternoon of barbecue fun while safely "cooking" up a variety of faux favorites, including pretend hot dogs, hamburgers, and chicken legs. An adult will have to help with assembly, but once set up the grill is very easy to use. Two AA batteries (not included) are all your pintsize gourmet will need to power up the grill's glowing briquettes and authentic cooking and sizzling sounds. Along with realistic accessories like a flip-down warming rack and a storage tray, the grill comes with all the requisite cooking utensils. The Sizzle 'N Glow Grill can be safely used inside the house, or little ones can set it up on the back patio so they can keep an eye on Mom or Dad when they are cooking on the "real" grill. --Chris Burns ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Bummer
This grill was for our 3yr old son who absolutely loves it, however, it arrived broken. The batteries hold is broken, so it does not sizzle or glow.I called Fisher-Price, but they no longer make this grill and had no more in stock so they could not send me a new one.My son still enjoys playing with it, but it's no fun paying for toy that doesn't work like it is supposed to.

5-0 out of 5 stars Highly recommend
I bought this grill for my 2 year old's birthday after reading the reviews and definitely agree that this is the grill to buy.We had the grill assembled together for my son's birthday party so the kids would have something to play with. All the kids from age 2 to age 5 enjoyed playing with the grill and naturally because of the age group they were fighting over who was going to play with it the most. The grill is sturdy and does not fall over easy but is light enough for my son to move around. My son is that age of imitating everything we do and he really loves to use his grill and act like daddy cooking.I highly recommend this grill over the others.

3-0 out of 5 stars Disappointed ... not as good as most Little People toys

Busy babies and toddlers will adore this nifty, petite workshop with dozens of things to see, explore, and do. From the hammer and bench with silly sound effects (boing!) to bright and colorful shapes and balls to send through differently shaped holes, curious little ones will be engaged in role-play and skill-building fun. It also includes a shape sorter, a clicker "ruler" for early counting, a put-and-take door--13 accessories in all. Less than 2 feet tall, it stands easily on the floor. There are plenty of tools, gadgets, storage bins, paint buckets, and even a cell phone. This imagination station does not collapse for compact storing; however, the doors and bins do allow for easy storage of all the bits and pieces.--Melissa Wilson ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A Ton of Fun at One
My son received this toy for his first birthday and he loves it. Granted the balls and shapes get separated from it easily, but we solved the ball problem with my daughter's large superball collection. She lets her brother have as many as he wants and he is foreverdropping them in the holes and buckets. The highest educational value for us falls in the motor skill development area. I like this format better than the newer version that costs 3 dollars more. It doesn't allow the same freedom to explore the shapes and containers.

5-0 out of 5 stars Holds Up Over Time
We bought this toy for my son when he was 1 year old. At first, I was a little disappointed because it didn't seem to engage him as I expected it to. But then I realized no toy engaged my son as I expected it to! He is one of those kids always on the run. But he liked this toy in his own way. He'd grab two balls and run. Then he'd grab the hammer and pound the floor or walls. The phone was also great fun. Occasionally, I'd get him to smack the shapes a little. Even though he was constantly in motion, he still learned his shapes and was able to place them in their proper place before he was off to his next adventure. He used the two plastic bins under the bench to store all his little cars and trucks.

We put the toy away about a year ago, right before my daughter was born. Over the last year, I have often meant to pass this toy on to someone else. It's cute, but it's really geared for boys. A couple days ago, I pulled the toy out just to see what my daughter would think of it. She loved it! She plays with it so differently than my son did. She is mesmerized by the fact that she can put the balls in the various containers. She loves the shapes and the noises they make.

To address durability issues: Over the course of 3 years, we have not replaced batteries and everything still works very well. Also, someone else mentioned the balls are different than other Little Tykes balls. They are a tiny bit smaller and a little more squeezable, but we've never had a problem with them. Our dog seems to understand that the kids' balls are off limits.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun for toddlers

Play kitchens are favorite toddler toys, but they often take up atremendous amount of space. This scaled-down version provides all sorts of funactivities and fits neatly in even the smallest of rooms. The unit itself standsapproximately 16.5 inches tall, 22 inches wide, and 8.5 inches deep. There's arefrigerator with a bright yellow door that has a shape sorter on the outside:insert the shapes, then push the button, and the shapes drop into the waitingpot just like an icemaker dispensing ice. Open the refrigerator drawer and justlook at all the (sticker) food on the pretend shelves! The red microwave andwhite oven have functional, bright green doors. A purple sink and countertopsport a white faucet and blue burner. Turn the yellow timer knob below theburner and the timer ticks and rings. Set the included, smiling orange fryingpan on the burner and the imaginary food immediately starts to sizzle. Place thesmiling green pot on the stove and listen to pretend water bubble and boil. Alsoincluded are an oversized measuring spoon and spatula, a phone with a wallbracket, and three plastic shapes for the shape sorter/ice dispenser. Let's getcooking! --Tami Horiuchi ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great starter kitchen
We bought this for our daughter's first birthday & she loved it.The shapes were a lot of fun to play with & she quickly learned how to push the button to make them fall out like ice cubes. She has lots of fun making soup & feeding it to me or herself.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great for younger toddlers
We bought this when my daughter was around 10 months and it seemed very appropriate for her. She used the kitchen to pull herself up (I would have to hold it because of its light weight) and would walk around it. It really helped her get the walking/cruising thing down. She also liked opening and closing the doors and dispensing the ice cubes. The plastic shaped ice cubes were probably the best! She learned shapes and how to insert them and dispense them. She played with this toy up until she was 1 1/2 and then moved on to bigger things. It was not expensive and I feel we got some good use out of it. I would not recommned this for an older toddler but for new little explorers its great!

2-0 out of 5 stars Fun for kids, bad for parents
My little boy (2 1/2) loved this toy when he first got it two months ago.My biggest complaint with the toy is that it has such obnoxious sound effects that go off with the slightest little movement.(Really, I think that sometimes it might go off just by looking at it the wrong way!)I probably wouldn't keep it around if my boy didn't like it so much.I suppose most toys are noisy, and most don't bother me, but this one does.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not much going on here...........
This looked cute at first but there's not much to it. My 2 year old plays with it only occassionaly and usually it's his little plasticFinding Nemo characters that are using it as a house. I had to take the batteries out of it since every slight movement turns it into an ear wrenching experience. My son has actually told me to make it stop. But it's not all bad. It's just very basic and the noises it makes are terrible.

2-0 out of 5 stars it doesn't do much

5-0 out of 5 stars A good toy
I bought three of these for my 2 year old triplets. They LOVE blues clues! They played with the bubble feature all day on their birthday. Devin even slept with sand clawing tool that night because he was convinced "blue" gave him that present. I took it to the beach with them and another kid there tried to take them away cause he wanted a "bues cues" too. The face did wash off, which was frustrating, but I took my paints and painted a face back on. My kids don't know the difference, and I don't have to keep returning the product.

My 2-year-old daughter loves this toy.She plays with it in the tub, in her sandbox, and on the beach. However, the pail's face and Blue's colored nose rubbed off after taking it to the beach for a day.We contacted the company that made this product, and they are sending us a new one.My little girl won't go anywhere without it, so I would still highly recommend this toy!

4-0 out of 5 stars awesome size and durabilty-- great for a young one
It really is very durable, all you have to do is push enough to lock legs in place- we have had NO problems with them staying in place. My child got it when he was 1 1/2 and is now 3 and still plays with it in his own imaginative way. It is also perfect if you don't want the big/huge workshops

1-0 out of 5 stars BORING- DONT GET FOR TODDLERS!
I got this toy for my daughter's 2nd birthday. She played with it for a grand total of 15 mintues during which time, the fences kept popping off and she got frustrated that she couldn't get both little people inside the house. This is something I would give as a gift for OLDER kids, like 4ish.For younger kids, it's really quite boring.

3-0 out of 5 stars My daughter will not play with the little people :(
This is my second little people playset.I read all the reviews and everyone in her age group loved these toys.So I went and bought her the Farm and this playset. These toys have quickly become a dust collector. She hasnt touched either one of them for at least a week I think the last time she touched this one was to move it out of the way.I'm glad others have had luck with their kids, I really think they are cute toys but no luck with my little girl :(

4-0 out of 5 stars A fun toy!
My 16-month-old daughter loves this toy! This is her second Little People set; she also has the Playground.

She loves to put the little people in their chairs. She especially loves the little baby in the carriage--she pushes her all around.

My only complaint is the little swing. My daughter cannot quite master getting the person into the swing. You have to tilt it just right to set someone in the seat.Sometimes I'm even challenged by it!When she can't get the little person into the swing without it falling over, she gets very frustrated. An older toddler would have an easier time with this feature.

Other than that, we are very happy with it and plan to buy more sets, as they all can be hooked together. ... Read more

Preparing for the next tea party will seem more realistic to toddlers with this play kitchen. One side of this workstation contains the prep area, with a refrigerator, sink, stovetop, microwave oven, and pantry, while the opposite side has an eating area with a toddler-sized chair and an attachable baby seat for one doll-sized guest. The electronic stovetop makes sounds of boiling, frying, or popcorn popping when kids place the included pot, pan, or teapot on it. In addition, the stove makes ticking and bell sounds for the pretend timer. The eight-piece tea set has two cups, saucers, and spoons, plus a sugar bowl and creamer. Other accessories include a divided plate with spoon and a telephone. Two AA batteries are needed to light the electronic stove and get the tea party started. --Cristina Vaamonde ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars leg doesn't fit!
This is a great little tea kitchen and my 3 yo daughter loves it, however the supporting leg doesn't fit and constantly falls off.In fact, it's laying on my florida room floor right now.If the leg snapped & locked in like other Little Tikes products, I would have given it 5 stars for durability, hands down.Perhaps this is why it ended up at Big Lots.

4-0 out of 5 stars Not bad for what you pay for...
We got this at Big Lots for $39.99 and our little girl loves it. The leg that supports the table falls out a lot but for the price it's a nice item for my daughter's room.

4-0 out of 5 stars My Daughter Loves It!
This was a Christmas gift for my just turned 2-year old daughter. She fell in love!It was a ROYAL pain to put together as the molded plastic did not really align properly and you have to really hammer the screws through the plastic. In other words, it's not a good, clandestine, don't want to wake the kids, put-together-on-Christmas-Eve kind of present. Our set was missing a microwave door and decals.I called their customer service line and was pleasantly surprised that there was minimal hassle in getting a replacement.Overall, this is a good product and I would purchase again.I rated it rather high for educational value since it engages my daughters interest for a long period of time in pretend play (about 45 minutes at a stretch). ... Editorial Review

Whether your child prefers the traditional version of the ThreeLittle Pigs or something a bit more unconventional (such as The TrueStory of the 3 Little Pigs), he or she will enjoyreenacting the entire plot with this outstanding playset. Undo theVelcro seam on the roof of the third little pig's house to reveal a 16-by-23-inch play matdepicting colorfully printed and embroidered set piecesfor staging the story. Three freestanding pigs and the big bad wolf areeach recreated on weighted pillows and nicely enhanced by a touch of brightoutline stitching. Houses of hay and sticks (cardboard-covered fabric)readily succumb to the wolf's huffing and puffing, and the much larger, quilted house of bricks sports a wolf-sized chimney. A traditionalretelling of the classic story--made of printed fabric and easily storedinside the brick house with the mat, characters, and props--is included.--Liane Thomas ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Don't get me wrong, I love it
I really do love this toy, but I was disappointed because the velcro came off of one side within about a month of my son getting this.My daughter loves it just as much as my one year old son and she's four.they have great fun playing with it.I am going to have to sew the velcro back on so the peices don't get lost.

5-0 out of 5 stars Pricey, but worth it
I was apprehensive at first by the considerable price, but this toy is a hit.For one, it doesn't make any noise. There are no buttons to push.It requires...imagination!Every day we have to tell the stories of the piggies, and we "Huff and Puff."My 21 month old daughter plays with it by herself with the wolf chasing the pigs to the next house.Pockets of Learning will replace any lost piece! It's hard to tell the story of the 3 little pigs with only 2 pigs!

4-0 out of 5 stars Worth the money
My little girl loves this durable toy.I love the convenience ofstorage-all the pieces fit in the little house-- and especially the fact that if anything is lost you can call a 1800 number and they will replace any piece.Worth the high piece. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars poor jack in the box
I am very unhappy with this product. The handle is hard to turn, and it takes too long for the clown to pop up.When the clown does pop up it smells like a forst fire inside of the toy.Over all I would not recomend it!

1-0 out of 5 stars Jack-In-the-Box
The music does not play well.It takes many, many cranks for it to start and then it is very faint.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great toy... like old times
When I was little, I had the old metal jack in the box... I remember pinching my fingers when trying to get the clown back down in the box and the lid closed.I still enjoyed it though.

We bought this particular jack n the box from Toys R Us in October of 2003 for our then 4 month old son.Since he couldn't have candy for halloween, we thought it a perfect time to give him his first jack n the box. And, it has been played with a LOT!It's worked perfectly from day one... music plays great and the clown pops up every time just when he's supposed to.The box is plastic and the clown is easy to put back in.Much safer than my old one from YEARS ago.The handle turns easily and the whole thing is light weight with a handle for easy carrying.

We have really enjoyed watching his expression while playing with this toy. It's one of his favorites. ... Read more

Your child is always a little angel, right? Well, even if thatisn't the case, she can certainly look the part in this adorablecostume. The Charming Cherub set includes a flowing white gown withlong, belled pouf-sleeves and silver sparkly overlay. The attachedsmall, silver netted wings are a heavenly addition. A crown of starstops off this sweet costume, which works for Halloween or any dress-upsessions. The dress is machine washable. --Melissa Wilson ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Good Storage
My daughter recieved this kitchen/toy box as a gift for x-mas about 2 years ago, and she still play with it. The top is too heavy for her to lift, but i use that to my advantage and put toys in there that are messy or needs adult supervision. Honestly me and my husband have never even put batteries in this toy since we got it, but she still loves it. Silent toys are the best. She's creative, she makes her own noises. :) I love this toy, she's getting a little too old to play with this, but i will always keep it to store toys in. :)

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Kitchen!
I bought this for my son for his second birthday and he just LOVES it! He "makes" breakfast for us, "cooks" in his microwave, and LOVES to "answer" his phone. The toy box aspect is great too. We're a military family and extra storage space is always appreciated as is the portability.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good toy for young ones
My daugher got this toy when she was 18 months old.It is perfect for her age, but I am looking at another, more advanced kitchen for her 2nd birthday.

She loves playing with the microwave and putting things on the stove and also in the sink.Another plus of this kitchen is the size.Very compact, which will fit into almost any space.Plus an adult can lift the top and store all the kitchen accessories underneath. It would be too heavy for a child to lift the top of the kitchen.

This kitchen is a nice buy if you can get it at a good price.I bought it gently used so it was worth the money. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful toy!!!
We love this toy. We got it for our daughters 1st birthday and she loves it more everyday! She is almost 2 now and just enjoys it more the older she gets. It is a great toy and her friends all love it too. I am back buying a few more for her friends upcoming birthday gifts! With all the fancy and more expensive toys out there ( and we have plenty ) this is by far one of her fave and is very inexpensive and well made! Another great product from Little Tikes!
Thanks!

5-0 out of 5 stars One of our favorites
This is one of the best toys that we have bought. My son still plays with it after three years!

5-0 out of 5 stars loved by all ages
I manage a children's portrait studio and have had the Buzz Mailbox in the lobby for little ones to play with for 3 years.Hundreds of kids have played with it ranging in age from 6-7 months up to 5-6 years. It's bright and interactive for little ones and plays to the imagination in the older kids. The included letters and stacking boxes disappeared ages ago, but kids are always pretending to find mail in it and finding things to put in the slots.I bought two of them for my neices for Christmas 2 years ago and they love them and I just purchased one for my baby who is due next week. This has been the best toy we have had in the studio in regards to durability and playability! ... I am disappointed by "My first finger puppet book". The quality of this book could be much better.

4-0 out of 5 stars A great toy for long rides
