5-0 out of 5 stars So cute and my favorite gift to give
I have given this toy many times as gift to a toddler. My little girls (5 years and 8 years) still love to play with this toy. My friends love the fact that the toy sturdy and takes a beating from their toddlers. It is made of wood and has a quality handmade feel to it. It is an easy gift to give!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Item!!!finally a pull toy that is kid sized
Purchased for my grand daughter...she loves it takes it everywhere.Well made and very stable and she loves the wiggle action.

1-0 out of 5 stars Cute BUTcan't be pulled!!!
This Dog is so cute.I bought it for my 2 year old and 4 year old daughters.Yes, his tail does wag; however, Spotty falls over whenever making any type of turn.My daughters love this toy and want to pull it through the house, but become very frustrated when he falls over.It seems as if his front paws and back paws are very flexible, allowing him to fall over too easily.I am very disappointed in this toy. When I was purchasing it, I read all of the hype about toy awards and thought Spotty would be great. He's not!!!! ... Editorial Review

This bright green toy will bring a smile to any little train fan's face. Based on the award-winning PBS television series Shining Time Station by the Rev. W. Awdry, the Thomas the Tank train set is a perfect child's train set. Duck's job is setting cars in the yard and pulling small freight. Each wooden vehicle in the series has a different name, character, and face. Magnetic bumpers make linking up easy. Friendly characters engage kids in hours of imaginary play. Designed to encourage new motor and cognitive skills. --Sandy Hirsch ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the old standby's...
If you have the Thomas series wooden railway series, then by all means, be sure you get Duck. He's just one of the older trains, and is almost in each and every video. He doesn't usually have a large role, but he's a kind and good friend to all the engines. This guy gets taken to bed in our house and also, everywhere we go.It's pretty funny listening to all the role playing going on in the carseat with this guy and hey, he can even dance to the Wiggles! These trains definitely develop imagination and fine motor skills, but they also become friends. These wooden guys are VERY durable too. They don't chip like you'd think they would when dropped onto the floor. We plan on keeping our wooden train series and interconnecting them with a "real" train set when our little one gets older. Also, don't forget to check out the HO series of Thomas here on amazon.I didn't know they existed and what a neat way to introduce your little one to the fascinating world of trains.Something they can definitely grow up with and use for quite some time.Highly recommend Duck!

5-0 out of 5 stars A great addition to your set
This toy is really durable. My sister threw it down our stairs a buch of times and it didn't even get a scratch. This is well worth the money and a great addition to anyone's collection.

5-0 out of 5 stars Duck the great
The learning curve Thomas sets are among the best toy train sets I've seen. The toys are especially durable and well-made.Duck is a unique engine who has some prominent roles in some of the earlier, original Thomas stories. The Duck engine toy is a good addition to an existing Thomas train set. ... Duncan is a plain-vanilla type of train engine. He once worked in a factory and has a straightforward way of speaking. That, combined with his affection for rock & roll, has potential to get him into trouble. This simple yellow-and-black 3-inch wood engine brings to mind the proverbial worker bee. Based on the popular Thomas the Tank Engine series by Reverend W. Awdry and the PBS television show Shining Time Station, the wooden railway system is compatible with other magnetic train sets. You can reenact all the exciting stories in the series or make up new ones. Thomas fans won't want to miss out on any of these fun, well-built railway characters. --Emilie Coulter ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great toy for Thomas Lovers
My 21 month son is all about Thomas the Train. He just loves the stories, toys and music from it. Its a refreshing change from some of the other "boys toys" out there. Its pleasant not and not annoying in any manner, for adults. And kids just love the entire line. The toys are sturdy and can withstand some rough play times. Highly recommend it and very worth the money.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Great Buy
Duncan is one of the little engines but his train shows him just as big as Thomas or Percy. These are great for little kids becasue you pull the trains by yourself without the use of any batteries. Great but I wish these weren't so expensive.

5-0 out of 5 stars the only toy played by my toddler for ever

Trains are predictable things--most of the time. But every once in a while, a car might just jump track. Then it's time for the Breakdown Train! This sturdy olive-green wooden crane with a flatbed is on the job, ready to haul errant trains back on track. Magnets allow the 3-inch-long crane to pull a broken engine or car onto the flatbed. This cheery red and blue cloth toy is a depiction of Noah's fabled Ark, complete with a collection of miniature stuffed animals (arranged two by two, of course) and Noah himself, with his long white beard and shepherd's crook. At about 12 inches long and 10 inches tall, the SS Noah features two separate compartments--one in the roof and one in its side--into which the assorted zebras, giraffes, pigs, lions, geese, rabbits, crocodiles, hippos, and cows can go when the weather turns bad. (Assorted dogs, chickens, sheep, and other animals peer out from the windows.) When the 40 days and nights are over, the entire menagerie can ride on deck with Noah via a series of ingenious pockets that rise just above the waterline. This washable vessel, with a carrying handle on top, is an imaginative toy that's almost as enjoyable to cuddle as it is to play with. --John Longenbaugh ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Waste of Money
Received this as a gift and the animals were so small it became a choking hazard. I wound up not even letting my six month old play with the toy and eventually threw it away when my eldest lost all the animals. Now that I see how expensive the toys was.

3-0 out of 5 stars Do NOT Buy
This toy was given to me as a gift- and at first I thought it was adorable. However, some of the toys are too small and a choking hazard. The worst thing is that the material is so cheap on the animals that as the baby chews them the color will come off in their mouth.Babies do love to chew these animals- my daughter loved chewing them- until I threw it away because of her mouth turning purple!Beware- it is a very expensive toy and your money would be much better spent elsewhere. Mommy of 2

5-0 out of 5 stars Great toy and stuffed animals too.
This is a wonderful toy.It can be played with and cuddled too.It is also really cute. There are lots of things you can do with the many animals: match them, put them in the side pockets, roof pocket or under boat pocket. Or just play with them by themselves. When my son was younger he liked to chew on them. The boat and animals are very well made, I've even put a few through the wash. The company also offers a lifetime guarentee for free replacement animals if any are lost. ... Push Along Thomas is a hybrid: he looks like a train but moveslike a car. Based on the character from the book and television seriesThomas the Tank Engine, this plastic locomotive measures 9inches long. Toddlers can practice walking by pushing the extendedhandle to move Thomas along. Fortunately, the long handle isdetachable, so prewalkers can roll him across the floor by gripping thehandle attached to the roof. Turn on the power switch, give the train agentle push, and hear a short, upbeat song. It requires threebutton-cell batteries to hear the music, but Push Along Thomas can be enjoyedwith or without electricity. --Lauren Bernard ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars No Bubbles
My 2 year old son received this for a birthday gift and loved it at first, but there are very few bubbles that come out of it.After 10 minutes of pushing it around and only getting 5-10 bubbles every minute or so he got frustrated with it and has not played with it since.

3-0 out of 5 stars Cute but Handle comes off too easily
This is a cute toy but the handle does come off too easily. My little boy walks but everytime he trys to push this toy the handle the handle comes off.He does like to just play with the thomas on the floor. You can proberbly find something better for the money.

My son received this toy for his birthday a year ago when he turned one.He was already walking very well (we didn't use it as a "walker") and he loved it.He is about to turn two and he has played with the Push Along Thomas everyday since he got it (both indoors and outside). It is very durable and still looks brand new! Douglas is a good engine and this one is a great buy for your money. The magnets work very well and they don't come apart in a second like some other toys do. Douglas would not be complete without his twin Donald. These toys are very durable and kids can play with them for hours.

4-0 out of 5 stars My 2 1/2year old son loves this bridge!
I've noticed my son's favorite Thomas pieces are the bridges. He plays with this bridge more than any of the others. He's still young so the up and down of the bridge is perfect for his age.We did have a problem with the bridge not staying on the risers, but we easily fixed it.We used superglue to glue the bridge to the risers. We didn't glue the ascending pieces so that we could change the layout if we wanted.Just position the risers in the middle of the connecting pieces of track and superglue. That way the track stays connected to the bridge.

4-0 out of 5 stars My 2 year old son loves this covered bridge!
I hear what the first reviewer is saying about the covered bridge falling from the supports easily, however my son absolutely loves this bridge and plays with it constantly. He loves how the trains pass through the bridge, but you can still see them through the windows. If we get tired of setting it up on the supports over and over, we just set it up so it sits flat on the table and it's still alot of fun for him. I'm recommending this covered bridge because it's a simple, fun piece for your collection. No bells and whistles, just imagination, make this toy fun.

2-0 out of 5 stars Amy
We recently started collecting the Thomas train items for our son.Just about everything we have purchased so far has been super, however this bridge is not the greatest. The problem is that the covered bridge and connecting track will not stay on the risers. 5-0 out of 5 stars Milkshakes, Sodor-Style
Most people are well aware of the Thomas & Friends set well before you need to read a review.Suffice to say that the Milk Tanker is of the same high quality construction as the vast majority of other engines and cars available, and they last forever. But here are two reasons to buy this particular car:

1.Good price here on Amazon (...).

2.This particular car is one that few people have, so it sticks out in kid's minds. It's unusual and every child that has come over to play with my son always says, "wow!" and wants to play with the milk tanker.

So go ahead and and this car to your set -- it's a good one!

5-0 out of 5 stars Good for your other trains to pull
This tanker is good for kids who like to connect all of their trains. It also is fun to pull a train over the tracks. I like to use this one with the Fuel and Tar tankers because there all the same shape. I got this train eight years ago and it still works perfectly and it's in good condition. A great buy for your money.

5-0 out of 5 stars Milk
This toy is great for kids! Also it's very durable.

Not only that, but it inspires them to drink milk. I was shocked right after I gave them this toy for the first time when they ASKED for milk...they hate milk!

3-0 out of 5 stars My son likes it
My 8 month old son likes this toy, but I have to watch him while he's playing with it because it will tip over as he tries to climb it. (It's recommended for 9 mos. and up) He loves the sounds. Especially the ones with the voice overs... yes... voice overs. There are a couple of "sound effects" where a person is voicing the sounds, like "chugga chugga chugga chugga...woooo hooooo". Those seem to be his favorite ones! He grins really big after the "woooohooo" part. The plane should spin freely and easily, but it doesn't. It's too tightly connected. The triggers on the side are easy to pull... my son's favorite part.

2-0 out of 5 stars Just not that much to it...
We purchased this toy, as a whim, for my son's 2nd Christmas.Thankfully it was just a side present. With the traffic lights and train crossing signs we thought he would spend a bit more time with it than he does.I pull it out occasionally and show show him the colors on the lights (and use it as a traffic light when he gets on his trike) and he does, occasionally, play with the winding ramp. But since the 04 Xmas he's only wanted to play with it less than a dozen times.

5-0 out of 5 stars Super Building Toy
I just bought this toy for my 3 1/2 year old son.He loves it!The pieces are chunky so they are easy for him to hold on to.He loves taking it apart and putting it back together.I wish they would come out with the other Thomas trains! This toy is wonderful for hand/eye coordination.

My son (3 1/2) just received this as a Christmas present and it is a huge hit! There are 9 pieces (a number he can count to make sure he has all of them) and a "screwdriver." It's a pretty cool toy - the screws are attached and your child needs the screwdriver thingy to tighten them down or loosen them (makes a click sound when tight enough). Once all assembled, there is an on/off button on the bottom to have Thomas go!My son LOVES the fact that he can build it by himself as well as take it apart by himself.Wish there were more toys like this one! ...
