KEEPS HIM OCCUPIED & LEARNING!
My two year old son just loves his letters and numbers.How excited he was to receive this floor puzzle as a gift.The pieces (a great size for his age) are durable and can withstand toddler handling.The pictures that coincide with each letter are definately a plus, and I love the fact that the lower case letters are included. Kids lost interest
I got this for my 4 & 7 year olds and they got bored after a few minutes and have never touched it again.The chairs are way too slippery for little hands to stack.They've never touched it since.I like it, but nobody will play it with me!

fragile fun
My daughters (4.5 and 3) found this toy on display at the San Francisco MOMA, and I could not get them off the floor again. They just stacked the chairs, watched the tower collapse, and laughed -- so we came home with a set. Curiously, one could see the personality of the kids as they play -- one of my girls would always stack the chairs neatly to maintain balance, while the other would just drop them one on top of the other without much apparent order. Surprisingly, given the instability of the construct, statistically both approaches yield similar results. In that sense the "educational value" is somewhat undermined. To be fair, it did teach the girls to accept failure even when they try their best. The durability is POOR. When we opened the package there were three broken chairs and we suffered two more casualties since (without much roughing). Nevertheless, it is still a fun game after dinner just for laughter.

It's not about winning. It's about the interaction.
Enjoyable, creative and loads of fun. I play only with adults and we have a blast with this game. Once you examine the chairs and understand the potential of each you then can have a challenging game. It makes you think. Physics, gravity, balance, hand co ordination. My whole family loved it when I took it to our reunion. One woman wanted to take it home. I did give her the phone # from the tin. I highly recommend this game. Whata hit!
My daughter received this puzzle when she was barely 3 but never really played with it until recently (she's 4 now). She first needed to borders done while she did the rest by herself, then she wanted me to do the sky while she did the rest.She now does the entire puzzle by herself and is extremely proud of herself.She will do it several times an evening and show us the results each time.It has stood up well to abuse (falling, etc.) and still looks great.A great toy in spatial orientation, too (where is the lamb in relation to the barn, etc.) A great product!! ... Poor quality unlike most Melissa & Doug toys
I just purchased this cube puzzle for my soon to be two year old daughter. I was so very excited to introduce my little one to one of my favorite types of puzzles as a little girl. I was even more eager because she seems to love puzzles as much as I did. As soon as we got home from the store we ran to open the package and play with it together. She abosolutely loved them! I was very happy for all of two minutes when I realized the stickers were peeling on almost half of the puzzle cubes. I don't understand how the Melissa & Doug Comapany let this product out to the public. It is terribly contructed. I am sending these back immediately and will be searching for a similar replacement of better quality. I was genuinely surprised at the disappointment from a company that usually provides high quality learning toys. I definitely suggest you pass on this toy...

Great Idea - poor workmanship
I had a puzzle cube like this when I was a child and loved it! So I was anxious to get one for my 3 year old who loves puzzles.The idea is cute, but the pictures peel very easily.No point in having a cute puzzle if you can't see the pictures.Don't buy it!I'd hold out for something of better quality or get another kind of puzzle.

Disappointing
My 3 year old daughter received these for a birthday present and I am very disappointed in their quality.The paper has been peeling off all of the cubes making them now unable to be used and we've only had them 1 month.We have other Melissa & Doug items that are very high quality that we love - these however are not even worth the $10. ...
