TERRIFIC TRAIN SET
I HAVE 2 BOYS (3 AND 4 YEARS OLD)AND THEY LOVE THESE SET. THEY PLAY WITH IT EVERYDAY. I BOUGHT A COUPLE OF THE SETS AND THEY HAVE A WHOLE CITY. I CHANGE IT AROUND SO THEY DON'T GET BORED. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.

The Best Toy!!!!!
I bought the whole set of Geo trax for my sons 3rd Birthday, and he hasn't stopped playing with it since. He gets this out every single day and plays with it. Very durable toys. I highly recommend this toy. A must have. My son loves to put the tracks together, and it is easy for him. My 2 year old daughter even loves to play with it. Now they have out the mile high sets, and my husband said we had to get him that too. This is a definate toy to buy......... It Lets the kids use their own imagination time and time again.

Great toy for the money!
This Geotrax add-on is great.At first I thought we would be going through batteries like I owned a battery store but it turns out the batteries last a long time and it has an auto shut down switch if you child walks away from the train.We were considering the wooden trains but for the price this set was a better deal.This set actually made noises and had track switch options.We continue to buy add-ons.Our son loves his train set. ... Dinosaur devotees will be roaring over this radio-controlledTyrannosaurus Rex as he growls and roars, moves his head, thrashes histail, and even blinks his beady yellow eyes. He can also turnrealistically and walk forward a few steps on a hard surface, growlingand roaring at the same time, if you choose. T-Rex is 11 inches tall and21 inches from nose to tail, with textured, flexible brown rubber skinthat bends and moves. The controller is shaped like a stone with twobone-shaped joysticks to control the dinosaur's walking and turning.Buttons on the side of the controller make T-Rex move his head and frontfeet, snap his jaws, roar, and blink his eyes. Disappointed on Christmas
The only toy our 5 year old wanted was a t-rex with batteries. How disappointing when we turned it on and nothing happened. We sent "Roarie" back to the "North Pole" aka amazon, for replacement. when the new one arrived, Joy was immediately replaced by tears when the new one stopped functioning after less than 2 minutes! This toy is fragile to say the most.

HORRIBLE TOY!!!
CONSUMER BEWARE!My five-year old son received this for Christmas.It was great while it worked, a whole two days!What a huge upset!I didn't see any educational value to it, except the education of disappointment from a fragile toy. We didn't have any trouble putting batteries in.Although the feel and look of the dinosaur is real and unique, a stuffed animal would have been more educational and less disappointing!I guess it will become a figurine on a shelf!I'm late in writing this review, because I just wouldn't give up hope, until now!

Fantasticasaurus!
This was a Christmas gift for my just about 4yo son who is very much intrigued with dinosaurs, his favorite being T-Rex!I was very impressed, as was he, at it's "realness".Very life like when it gets "ROARING" and stomping around!Great gift for a dino lover..just keep batteries handy. There is a switch on the dinosaur that you must turn "off" and you must close up the hand held remote as well....try explaining that to a 4yo! ... Read more

Fun toy, doesn't work all the time
We bought this toy for our 20 month old son for Christmas this year. He seems to like it well enough. He'll use the remote control and push the buttons. He's just in this fickle spot right now where he bores easily with one toy and moves on to the next. But he does play with it and can operate it, so we were happy to see that.

As far as the over-all product, we've had problems with ours since we opened it. It doesn't always go when you push the buttons. Sometimes you have to turn if off and back on a few times and even then you have to push the remote buttons a few more times before it will start. We've tried changing batteries and resetting the thing, but it still happens.

Over-all, a fun toy. My husband and I even enjoy driving it around and chasing the cat and dog with it, but I just wish it worked all the time. I still think it would be a good buy for any child.

Fun for the 10 month old, the 3 year old and the parents too
As with all toys, it just depends on the interests of the kids.

We all play this toy together as a family and sometimes by ourselves.SOmetimes I just sit and play with it while the kids are playing with something else.

The controls are supper easy (foward, turn and beep-beep).Even the 10 month old figured it out and he was so happy to make it work.

I love the fact that when you tip it upside down or sideways, thewheels stop moving.So little fingers don't get caught.

The toy can be played in two ways - one as a remote control (and the kids love to chase it) and if you put the remote on the toy and press a button music comes out of it and goes crazy.

The music is not annoying and not loud either.I am super happy we got this for our sons.

five year old and five month old LOVE it!
We bought this for both of our kids for christmas, figuring it was something they could play together. Our five year old son drives it around for our five month old daughter, she giggles and watches it as close as she possibly can!My son loves it and thinks it's just great to be able to drive something in the house (he has remote control cars for outside, but he can't use them in the winter to his dismay)It goes faster than I thought it would go, we haven't had it tip yet and it seems to be doing great on our thicker carpet (it will even push other little toys out of it's way...it pushed a full water bottle across the floor so it has some power).I have a feeling it will eat batteries, but it will be well worth it for the hours of fun my kids will have with it!

A Fire Engine With SPINNER RIMS??!!
This steaming pile of a toy really disappoints me to no avail. Why in the name of the gods would anyone put SPINNER RIMS on a FIRE TRUCK? BLING BLING! Well at least that's what TRU thinks when you purchase this "R" BRAND toy.

I won't even begin to do my typical breakdown of my review because this toy barely warrants a review in the first place. Out of the TWO that I have played around with, one actually worked properly. They are utter garbage! Do yourself a favor and pass this one up for something decent.

If you want a really loud toy, this bulldozer is for you!If you want it to perform the tasks that it is supposed to do (i.e. move around), don't buy this toy.I bought this for my son's 4th birthday.He loves any construction vehicle, so that is a plus.The bummer is that this toy does NOT move/drive like it is supposed to,on any surface.What it lacks in movement, it sure makes up for with VERY loud noises (no volume control).
If you do buy this toy, invest in some ear plugs.

One of the worst buys ever.What a disapointment.My husband is in construction, so when my son saw this at the store, he was excited so I got it.First day within a couple of hours, some of the buttons on the remote broke.So, I went back to Toysrus and they replaced it.I brought the second one home and the thing doesn't even move!! Not on carpet, or my hardwood floor.It just vibrates.It's cheap, cheap, cheap.I expected more for the $25 bucks I payed.Definatley don't buy this! ... Read more

Flawed design, but still useful
My 19 month old daughter received this as a gift.She loves it.Unfortunately, since she's only 19 months old, the remote control is a little advanced for her.However, she carries Thomas around, she tries to push him (which doesn't work and may/may not break it eventually), occasionally lays Thomas on his side to watch what the remote does with his wheels, and more often hands him to me to play with.

The remote is poorly designed for a child.The 2 separate directional controls (forward/backward and left/right) are set in a box that is too large for a small child's hands.Additionally, the left/right control only functions if the forward/backward control is in use, which for a 2-3 year old child is far to complicated to understand.When left/right does not do anything, frustration begins to set in.

I agree with another reviewer that the remote seems to momentarily stop working.This again is confusing for a child.Also, the range is limited.It says 15 feet, but I've not gotten it to work past 10-12.However, as an adult, it works fine for me and I enjoy "chasing" her with it.

I know that, in the Thomas scheme of things, Annie and Clarabel are box cars, however, this toy would have been much more fun if the cars were open to allow the child to put things in and move around.

don't bother!
I wish I would have taken heed of the reviews written here & not purchased this.But I gave in to my son, who REALLY wanted it.He doesn't want it anymore though, because the thing doesn't work!Oh sure, little Thomas huffs & puffs away at first - but after a minute or two of play, game's over.And Thomas doesn't really "join" with Annie & Clarabel - it's a magnet.It's cute but it doesn't work the way it claims it does and therefore it is definitely a complete and total rip off!

Returning this one
Even if it worked...The engine loses the signal from the remote sporadically, no matter how close you are to it.Plus, for a three year old, it is very difficult to tell which way the remote should be held;up is down, down is up.In order to back the engine up to connect to the cars, the connectors (magnets)must be perfectly aligned.I was never able to do it without manually pushing the connector into place;I can't imagine a three year old being able to do it.Any time you go in reverse, the train goes into a sequence of catching & releasing the cars; my nephew couldn't understand why every time he backed up, the cars fell off!Boo! ... Just Ducky
I bought this for Christmas for my nephew because it looked so cute.All of the kids there loved it.Even the adult kids.My sister says he plays with it all the time even though he is not quite two, but he can move the controls because they are so big ( he hasn't figured out how to get it to go where he wants yet.)It was such a big hit with my family that my other sister wants it for her kids now.

Quacking good time!
My 2 1/2 year old loves this duck!The remote is easy for her to use and she has a blast making the family line up behind each other and then she sends Quackers thru the leg tunnel.We have yet to use in in the bath tub because it is larger then we thought.It is well worth the money and a must for any duck fan. ... Fantastic Toy but has 2 major bugs.
Got this toy for my 4 year old son and right out of the box we loved it, my Son played with it for hours on end and my Wife and Myself actualy found it to be fun for us to play with him and drive the unit also.Now for the bad part, the unit has no OFF switch, it basicaly waits for about 30 seconds of inactivity and switches itself off.The bad news is that when the batteries get low the unit becomes erratic and refuses to shutoff or it will shutoff and turn itself back on randomly.One night at 1 AM I almost had a heart attack when the unit turned on and plunged 6 feet down off the closet shelf!If your willing to change the batteries on a regular basis than this toy will entertain your child for months.BTWDurability and etc has been good so far and the features are very impressive, the sound is very loud but a piece of tape placed over the speaker will cut that down.

Make sure you have some time before you open
Bought this for my 3 year old son and two of my nephews. Took forty minutes to unscrew all the screws to get it out of box. Once it's out of the box I find that there are more screws to unscrew in order to get the wheels to turn. By this time3 year old is in tears because it's taking sooo long.
Not very durable and very loud. Since I did not want to torture my sister-in-law who is not handy with tools I'm going to replace two of the machines for anther brand.

Toy for one day
This loader sucks the power out of the required four AA batteries after a 24 hour period.I've gone through four sets of AA batteries in four days.I'd like to return this truck, but it was a gift from my family in the States and we're living overseas.There is no phone number or working e-mail address for Toy State.I'm stuck with this thing my son loves but can't play with.

cat loader not very reliable
my wife and i purchased the loader for our nephew for christmas and he thoroughly enjoyed it for about six weeks. Now the loader will not perform the functions of forward or reverse when on the floor, but it will go in reverse on the dining room table. I am unable to find a number for toy state industrial. that is only marking on the bottom of the loader. so as of this time we have one very depressed nephew. the loaders remote functions are quite entertaining when they worked, that being said because i am a heavy equipment operator, so everything we buy is either john deere or cat. ... ...
