Editorial Review

Toddlers who spend a lot of time on a ride-on vehicle will delight in having this play gas pump for additional role-playing. The pump and nozzle are made of safe, lightweight plastic with a flexible rubber hose for "filling up" little vehicles. A pretend credit-card swipe area with keypad makes the pump look a lot like the one Mommy and Daddy use at the real gas station. The pump also makes six electronic sounds when any of the three large push-buttons are pressed--two car start-up noises, two fueling noises, and two car horn sounds. The pump operates on two AA batteries (not included) and is ideal when paired with Little Tikes's popular Cozy Coupe II car. --Cristina Vaamonde ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Toy, a must for the Cozy Coupe Cars
I have two of these, why, because my daycare kids fought over one of them, so I had to go and get another one.I love it, i have no complaints.Mine has been left out in the rain and snow and still works great. No fading at all.I do now remember to bring it in if it is going to rain. I have six Cozy Coupe Cars and two of the Trucks, and it works for all of them.A must if you are going to get a Cozy Coupe Car!

1-0 out of 5 stars Was cute until it broke!
This was an adorable toy that my son received with the Cozy Coupe from his Grandmother for Christmas. It seemed like so much fun at first, but the nozzle was difficult to remove from it's holder and it eventually broke (after only 20 days of periodic usage). We're very disappointed because we received this through Amazon without a box (I don't know if this is normal) and we're worried that Toys-R-Us won't take it back. What a shame.

4-0 out of 5 stars It's so cute
My 22 month old got this for christmas and likes it alot. He enjoys pretending to fill up all his toys with gas (car or not!).
It's a bit on the small side and there's not much to it so the price could be lower, but whatever. The 3 sounds that it makes are neat (horn, gas guzzle, car starting) and aren't too loud. The pump has to be cramed into the holder if you want it to stay hung up, which is even hard for me, so it usually just lays on the ground. But I think it's a great bonus to have with any ride on type toy. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great first bike!
I had a hard time finding a trike that my son, then 2 yrs old, could ride. This was the only bike where he could touch the ground while sitting on the seat - and he test drove every trike at Toys'R'US.The bike has taken a lot of abuse the past 1-1/2 years, but it is holding up great. My son is now 3-1/2 and just starting to grow out of this trike.I would recommend this for any first-time rider!

4-0 out of 5 stars Okay for 1st-timers, but not very sturdy
We received this tricycle as a gift.It is convenient since it is easy to fold up and take with you.It was also easy for my daughter to learn to use it since she could reach the pedals at a young age (around 2.)But, she outgrew it very quickly and by the age of 2.5 she would tip over if she turned too quickly or went too fast.If you can only buy or afford one tricycle, I'd recommend a sturdier one that will last longer.

5-0 out of 5 stars My Son LOVES this bike
This bike made learning to ride so easy for my 2 year old. He loves it and loves being able to carry little items like his cup or rocks in the back. Highly recommend this one. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Great Kart - Needs Improvement
My daughter got this at age 1 and is now age 3. Was great when she was 1 but the button push power isn't a grand idea - the button was not easy to push & hold - especially for long periods of time - like over a few seconds...I don't recommend it for the older toddler because it doesn't seem to carry size well - there isn't enough leg room now she's 3 and she needs help getting out only because her feet get stuck. Nice idea and cute - the child loves it even tho it isn't excellent - I think you'd be better buying a full size one for older toddler than to spend $99 on this one.

4-0 out of 5 stars A lot of fun for your 1+ child!
We bought my daughter this "car" for her 1st birthday. She has had it for a little less than a month now, and has mastered driving it (she is a little advanced for her aged). We all enjoy this toy.The assembly was not difficult, but required a little time.

3-0 out of 5 stars Good, but not practical or easy to use by a kid
I got one for my daughter 6 months ago. She is 2-1/2 years old. Initially she was thrilled to get it. But when she found out that it was difficult for her to make it go (the button was hard to push for her, and the steering was tough to co-ordinate), she got frustrated. Also, getting in and out was kind of unnerving, since she would accidently press the button, and the car would start moving. Also, the lack of a reverse gear made it difficult for her to get out of corners. I would recommend getting a more easy-to-use/safe car. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The best gift
We buy it for our little girl, she is two years old. It fantastic, my husband ensamble it in 30 minutes, my girl reach the pedals and ride it. It is a good investment, we buy it 4 month age and she used it every day in the park and looks like new.

5-0 out of 5 stars "Recommended for" ages are wrong
My 2 1/2 year old daughter received this trike for X-mas.She couldn't reach the pedals. She's improvised by straddling it and using her tip-toes to get around with.

It's wonderfully made. It's well worth the money. My daughter loves it.I just don't see any child, ages 18mo to 3years (the recommended ages) being able to use it the way it is intended.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wrong recommended age
We bought this trike for my daughter's 3rd birthday. Three is the perfect age for this. DO NOT buy this for a child younger than 3 years old, the recommended age from the manufacturer is way too young. And, yes, it was kind of a pain to put together. Give yourself some time, don't wait until the last minute to assemble it. It was worth the effort though, my daughter really loves this trike. And your little princess will as well! ... Read more

Editorial Review

When the sun beats down over the long haul, this jaunty, adjustable red polyester umbrellatransforms a little red wagon into a shady Conestoga. And it will serve you well should you be surprised byrain showers on your journey. You could also clamp it on a lawn chair, a cooler handle, a park railing, or abackpack strap. The neoprene-padded jaws of the sturdy plastic, 6.5-inch spring clamp move smoothly on180-degree hinges, so the umbrella gets a flat, slip-proof grip on objects that are from an eighth of an inchto 2 inches thick--even on wet wood or slick metal. Made especially to sit pretty on a classic Radio Flyerwagon, the versatile, heavy-duty clamp also accommodates non-planar surfaces, such as a wide-lippedwall. Unfasten the Velcro closure and slide open a taut 26.5-inch diameter circle of shade made of chunky,top-quality materials. A 4-inch-long, .375-inch-diameter metal-spiraled neck above the clamp allows you toadjust the shade to any angle in any direction. This beauty is made to last as long as a Radio Flyer wagon! The umbrella is 30.75 inches long, and comes with instructions. Ava Natov ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great accessory to wagon
We have this for our radioflyer woodsided wagon and it works very well. It's a bit on the small side, same size a regular childs umbrella, but it works. Also, the small size is about the same width as the wagon, so it's easy to fit thru any doorways, gates, etc...while in the open position that the wagon can.
I rated it 4 stars for fun since my 2 year old loves to play with it (a lot). I think it's great to have and advise anyone with this type of wagon to get it too.

4-0 out of 5 stars Wagon Umbrella
It's strong but very, very small. Unless you only have one child in the wagon or ride-on, you'll need to buy two. I did and it was worth it.

3-0 out of 5 stars Great Concept but Not Durable
The umbrella is a great idea and works well with the radio flyer wagon. The problem is ours broke after limited use.The umbrella did not bend easily in the coil area.We found that when people adjusted the umbrella they always bent it where the button is to put the umbrella up and down.In the end that is where the umbrella snapped in two.So just take your time when trying to bend the umbrella to block the sun! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Worth the high price
My daughter was given THREE different rocking toys for Christmas - a horse, the Little Tikes blue puppy, and this caterpiller. This is by FAR the favorite.

It's incredibly well made. You really have to see it in person to appreciate the quality of the craftsmanship, but I can definitely tell you it's something she'll be able to pass down to her own kids, and maybe grandkids.

It's just adorable and the colors are wonderful. My daughter was captivated by it from the first time she saw it (at less than a year old).Even when not riding it, she often just wants to touch it or examine its face.

The seat is much more comfortable and easier for her to balance on than her other rocking toys, and she is just delighted by the crinkling, rattling, and squeaking parts.

The only thing that's annoying is the electronic music. The quality is HORRIBLE.It actually scared my daughter at first. But it's easy to turn off.

The price is pretty high for a rocking toy this small, but it's well worth it in my opinion for such a wonderful heirloom-quality toy.

5-0 out of 5 stars I'm saving this for my grandkids!
My then-15-month-old daughter got this for Christmas and didn't quite know what to make of it at first. She used it for a chair, a step-stool, a climber, a chew toy- everything but a rocker. She eventually figured it out and now, at 19 months, absolutely loves it.She still uses our old wooden rocking horse for fast, active rocking, but on her caterpillar she will lean down with her arms around its neck in a "hugging" gesture and dreamily rock it slowly back and forth. It is so soft and cuddly that she loves to just snuggle on it.
I have even occasionally caught her 8-year-old sister on it, trying to scrunch her legs up short enough to play on it.
Best of all, despite the chewing and other rigours it has been through, it looks as good as it did the day we bought it and is so well-constructed that I plan on saving it for when my grandchildren come to visit (someday...)
This is definitely a keeper!
By the way, we solved the problem with the dreadful music by not showing her how to turn it on.When she discovers it for herself, we will remove the batteries. The "music" is totally unnecessary and is the only flaw in an otherwise wonderful toy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Adorable!
This is a great addition to a child's room.It makes a great gift and you can also get the story The Very Hungry Catterpillar to go along with it.The only downfall is the music quality.Sometimes it works, sometimes not. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars My son LOVES it!!
We bought this for our son for Christmas, at the time he was 1 1/2. We kept it inside for him to practice in the basement until it was warm enough to go outside. Once he got outside he loved it! I think he has had to ride it almost everyday since we took it outside, and it is still going strong. Every night we charge it so it is ready to go for the next day, and even the battery is still good. We have had others that riding on the grass wears the battery down really fast, but we have had no problems with this one.
My son is now two, and I'm not sure how much longer he will be able to ride it. He is only 30 pounds and is getting a little too big for it. We are now thinking of purchasing a bigger 4-wheeler. I will say you need to watch them close, he had tipped it backwards a couple of times trying to go up not very steep hills. We did get him a helmet so he knows he has to wear one when he gets older.
All around this is a great toy for smaller kids that want to imitate their older siblings!

5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic!
At age twelve, I can ride this twist car and STILL enjoy it! Hours can be spent playing with this toy, and you just CAN NOT get tired of it! Well worth the price. The fun this car provides (to a family of five kids I will add) is AMAZING! I highly recomend this toy to anyone who is interested in a outdoor toy that is not noisy and does appeal to both the younger and the older age ranges. This car does not work well on carpet.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun Fun Fun
My 3 year old grandson loves this toy. It was very easy to put together and it is very sturdy.

It didn't take long for him to figure out how to make it go straight and also how to make it spin around.

All we need now is to have the maker make a large one for the adults too!!! Wouldn't it be fun to have one of our own and play with the kids?

5-0 out of 5 stars exceptional fun for the older child

I am putting this in the wrong place because I do not see the item on azazon.DO NOT BUYTHE CHICCO REMOTE CONTROL CAR FOR AGES 2+.It did not work at all the first time and the replacement lasted a whole 4 hours! Was not mistreated at all but just not built to last. They are just trying to get your cash; problem is the kids are the ones who suffer.

5-0 out of 5 stars All-time favorite that stood the test of time
This is an excellent, versatile and sturdy toy that has been played with thoroughly for over 3 yrs.Younger children can use the toy as a kind of pushcart or to steady themselves while walking (obviously you'll want to keep this one away from any stairs). They can also flip open the seat and play with the busy-box under the seat, push the buttons and hear the sounds on the steering wheel and put the little people in the corresponding shaped holes in the back.As children get more mobile, they can take this toy outside and use it as a foot-powered ride-on.My three-year-old twins love this car and have played with it repeatedly at different stages of their development.Well worth it for the variety, durability and pure enjoyment it's given our kids.Bright colors, cleans easily.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Toy
This was bought for our son as he started to learn how to walk.It is a great walker-toy while also being a great stationary toy.We actually leave the seat off most of the time as right now he loves to sit IN the middle area and play with other toys or the steering wheel, or even sit backwards and put toys in the open slots and pull them out again.Wide enough to be sturdy for walking around, yet also light enough that if he is rough-housing & it tips it doesn't hurt him, almost funny to him in fact. Also, the fact that it is lightweight allows him to learn to control it as the front wheels turn - good for developing his ability to stand & manipulate the toy. Also, the removable section with buttons & lights is great to take in the car.At 13 mos, he is still too short to sit on the seat & touch the floor, but I feel as that is better for him right now due to his level of development.I can see this being a long-used toy & we are very happy! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Sturdy Trike, Needs New Axel Design
My 18 month old son recieved this trike as a gift from Santa and has loved it. Santa was able to purchase this online for a steal of $34.99 plus shipping, which was a total of $52. The $69.00 tag is a bit steep in my opinon (plus shipping!).

It is a very sturdy bike and is easy to assemble and operate in the "stoller-mode."Parents can even steer it with wheel unlocked, providing that the "driver" does not overrule the Parent!

One Warning: Please take the time to purchase new rear axel bolts and nuts. As a mechanical engineer right away I saw the design-flaw in the manufacture's axel-tabs. I felt the tabs would not hold the rear-wheels together long.I purchased some 8 inch bolts with nuts to mount the rear wheels, then hack-sawed the excess off.Now the bike is perfect!

Good Luck and Have fun!

4-0 out of 5 stars A great first trike!
I got this trycicle for my 18 months old because he felt left out watching his older brother going on his bike. The push handle with foot rest and front wheel locking sistem is great! It feels to me like a stroller but for the baby is a cool ride. He loves it and he stays in it much more than his stroller. The only drawback is that it's hard to steer, I have to lift the front wheel and then turn, but this doesn't seem to bother him besides, he's secured with the little seat belt. I agree with shipping cost! Fortunatly I bought this one at the local store.

5-0 out of 5 stars Don't get cheated on the shipping
This is a great product, but the shipping charges are vastly overinflated.TRU lies about the actual weight and wants to charge around $40 shipping, but I got it elsewhere for $12 shipping (and a much lower price to start with). If you can't get it in the store, make sure you aren't being deceived with the shipping cost.

Assembly was a little difficult - the steering locking collar wouldn't line up right, and we had to make a minor modification to get the holes in the right places.Other than that, it's pretty sturdy. ... Read more

Little ones who crave the feel of a real car will love scooting about in this sturdy aqua and yellow plastic automobile. Like the cartoon character Fred Flintstone, children use the steering wheel for direction control (front wheels turn easily) while making the car go with their foot power. Only the driver's-side door opens and children can sit on a bench-style seat with legs poking down to the ground for easy feet access. Dash accessories include a pretend car key, a beeping horn button, a decal gas gauge, and a speedometer. An ample storage compartment in the back can hold pretend tools, emergency road supplies, or simply a snack for the road. 5-0 out of 5 stars Grand Coupe deserves it name!
When I was little I used to have one now I am going to get one for my brother. I work at a day care and they have one and all the kids do is fight over who gets to ride in the big boy car. It is a must have if you have a little kid. They all love it. They are probably going to buy another one for the day car because it is so popular. They got a Gamecube at the day care, but everyone still insists on using the Grand Coupe. There are kids from 6 months up to 7 years to older kids ride on top. No one has ever gotten hurt. It is the best toy. One time they where fighting over who got to go in it and they accidently pulled of the door the company sent a new door with all the hardware! It is a great buy!

5-0 out of 5 stars Good quality
This car seems to be really sturdy and built better than other brands. My toddlers love it and fight over who gets to ride.

5-0 out of 5 stars Discerning Toddler, with discerning Dad, highly approve
My Daughter has an elevated sense of taste, even at 2 1/2.
She liked, but didn't love, the original Cozy Coupe. She wanted the Grand Coupe, no questions. She and I ordered it from Amazon, through ToysRus. The order was simple, the delivery was exactly as forecast. The assembly was also simple, a screw gun helps, although I didn't try it without one.
As far as the car itself goes after a week or so of use....
Four thumbs up!!!!
She rides in it, watches her favorite programming in it, plays independently with it, we play together with it, if I let her she'd likely sleep in there too. She's thrilled, which, of course, means that I am thrilled.
The trunk, or rumble seat, is a big plus, you'd be surprised how much a little thing like that means to a little person. Scruffy the dog loves it back there, a ton of necklaces, bracelets, rings, and two or three juice cups fit nicely too.
I will do ANYTHING for her, if you feel thusly, buy it, it's the Benz of ride ons.
Gotta get a gas pump, mileage is not as good as we expected. Five Stars anyway.

With its fully retro design, faithfully reproduced down to thesmallest detail, this cherry-red, rubber-wheeled tricycle is anundisputed classic. Apparently they do still make them like theyused to. The rugged trike features a chrome front fender; a double-deck,step-in back (so kids can climb onto the smooth metal seat in a snap);red-and-white tassels on the rubber-coated handlebars; a 12-inch-high,steel-spoked wheel; and even an old-fashioned bell. --Paul Hughes ... 2-0 out of 5 stars HORRIBLE!!!
My 3 year old can't reach the petals (she is considered tall for her age). She is also terrified to ride this horrible tricycle because it tips over!Nostaglia is about all it is good for!

5-0 out of 5 stars Give this trike a chance!
We bought this tricycle for my 16 month old son and we couldn't be happier. It is a little big for him right now so we put blocks on the pedals so he could put his feet flat, not tippy-toed. But immediately after we put it together (which only took about 30 minutes from opening the box to completion)he jumped on and started "walking" the trike with his feet on the ground. We were amazed since he has only SEEN bicycles, not ever ridden them. I love the retro look of this trike! It reminds me of the old days and my first trike that I have seen in pictures. I'm sure we'll get plenty of use out of this bike, we love it so far!

4-0 out of 5 stars Nice Trike
This was a birthday present for my two year old. She was a little short to push the peddles all the way at first, but quickly grew into it. She is now almost three and has gotten a lot of use of this. It is sturdy (a bit heavy if tipped over-which it's hard to do), but does rust easily in humid weather, even when kept in a carport. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Oh my gosh, they all love it!
Got this for my 1 year old but she has to fight to get ahold of it from her 3 yr old and 5 year old sisters!Very sturdy, doesn't tip over and rolls great over carpet. The older kids are big and the toy is obviously well designed to hold a 55lb kid with no problem. When my 1 yr old does get a chance, she is copying the older kids and trying get a leg over (with some help) and is able to easly scoot it along using her toes.Bought based on the other reviews and this one pans out.Nice to find a toy that lasts longer (both interest and durablity) than just a few months.

4-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful toy for in the house...
This is yet another wonderful yard sale find! My son has had this toy for 5 months now and plays with it several times a day. It is light enough that he is able to drag it around the house, sit on it and push it easily, and lately I have had to discourage him from standing on the seat like a circus performer on horseback.

It is very durable, my grandparents found it at a yard sale, and the only blemish on it is a small scratch on the wood. The little hub covers worry me as a choking hazard, but they seem to be attached really firmly so I rest a little more easily.

Wonderful purchase, especially for the $3.00 paid for it second hand!

5-0 out of 5 stars A wonderful toy that grows with your child!
My daughter got this toy when she was about 9 months old.She turned it around backwards and held onto the handles to learn how to walk. She would squeal with delight and do laps around our house. She was able to swing the horse around and go in another direction if she got stuck in a corner. She is now 2 1/2 and races the horse all over the house and outside. This is a great toy that was worth every penny! ... Editorial Review

If you're 3 years old, and your main mission in life is toarrest all the Bad Guys, it's a shame not to have the transportation tocatch up with them. The Tikes Patrol Police Car is the cruiser youneed. Powered by your own two feet sticking through the floor, it's aserious blue machine with blue-and-red fake lights on the 36-inch-highwhite roof. Thirty-two inches long by 17 inches wide, it has one doorthat opens, a squeaky horn on the steering wheel, and a handheld radiounit with sound effects (requires two AA batteries, not included). Thetoy holds a maximum weight of 50 pounds. The car is all plastic, exceptfor wheel struts and screws. Adult assembly is required. --RichardFarr ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars one of the favorite toys in the house
I bought this for my oldest son 2 years ago, just before he turned 2, and it has always been a hit with all the kids who come to our house. At first, my son mostly liked to sit in it in the house, not getting how to push himself around.when we put it outside during a playdate with his friends, they all took turns sitting inside, while someone else pushed from behind. To this day, whether at playdates, birthday parties, or just daily play time on the patio, my boys (now 3.5 and 1) both love this car.Definitely a worthwhile purchase. In fact, we have considered getting a second (maybe a regular car or the firetruck) since this one is such a hit during play time with more than one child. Also very durable -- it's been an indoor toy, an outdoor toy, and has made it through lots of long walks (albeit slow walks, as the little guy does his shimmy-shimmy, Fred Flintstone pedaling!).A good purchase, used daily!

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Car, awful assembly
My son recieved this for his 2 year birthday. He absolutely loves it. The car is great. So far no problems, everything seems secure and of good quality. The siren is a nice touch, and it's not to loud or abnoxious, although the lights on top don't turn on (the picture on the website is deceiving). The horn works good and there's a "trunk" in back for him to put stuff in.

But there's always a catch! Assembly was a nightmare. While putting this together, I discovered that the hole where the gas tank snaps on had a piece of plastic missing around the edge (it was cracked). So I had to return it and get a new one. That was a total pain and the people at Toys R Us actually gave me a hard time when i wanted to exchange it for another one that wasn't defective (what???!!!) Aside from that, the actual assembly process went very slow. Not a fun thing to do. Some of the parts were really difficult to screw together and putting the wheels on was the worst. But it's still a really cute and fun toy, so just be prepared to be there awhile putting it together. I think it took me an hour!

4-0 out of 5 stars PROBLEM PUTTING TOGETHER
Great toy, cute concept. My two year old loves it! However, maybe It was just me, but I felt misled by the lights on top. They have reflectors in them. Not lights. And the speaker...doesn't do anything but play a siren. It was VERY difficult to put together because not all the holes that were supposed to be there for assembly were. My husband created them with his own tools rather than return such a big item that we were half way through putting together ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars nice car not good for hilly areas
My husband and I bought this car for our daughter for christmas...she was 13 months old.We used it for the first time a few eeks ago when the snow finally melted and was warm enough to be outside without gloves. We thought it would be good because it goes with a push button and had a handle to steer.Well I was dissapointed...the car barely moves on the grass or going uphill, also when you let go of the button the car will coast downhill which is upsetting.I charged it exactly to the instructions and everything.I guess if you live on a flat area then it would be a great buy. However if you have hilly terrain i'd wait and get a more powerful one as this isn't much fun.

5-0 out of 5 stars Love it
My daughter received this as a gift for her first birthday.SHE loves her car. When we get home she goes over to her car and she sits in it and presses the button. We have been around the block in it and she loves it!!!One thing that I did not like about the car is that even when the parent controll is on the child can still press their button and go - minor detail. This is by far her favorite gift.

5-0 out of 5 stars LOVE THIS CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My parents bought this for my 15 1/2 month old, who doesn't like sit on toys.We were alittle concerned whether he would like it.He was so excited, he was ready to jump on it as soon as it was done.He loves to go over to it and sit in the seat to tell me he wants to drive. He also loves to drive it in front of the television and sit and watch his favorite shows in it. ... Editorial Review

Excellent as a first bike, the Ready-to-Ride comes in bright, friendly primary colors and the classic Radio Flyer stylings that remind parents of the little red tricycles of their youths. As with all Radio Flyer trikes, the Ready-to-Ride is built to last with a durable steel frame and heavy-duty treaded tires. Plastic bucket seats provide a comfortable ride and rubber handles offer a secure grip. Kids can tow a doll or load toys into the yellow storage bin on back and announce that they're coming through with the loud bell on the handlebar. Parents will appreciate the trike's low center of gravity and controlled turning radius that prevents it from tipping during speedy turns. The lightweight and portable Ready-to-Ride also easily folds up for storage and has a handy grip in the back of the seat for carrying or hanging. A reliable safety latch ensures that the trike won't begin to fold up midway through a ride. The Ready-to-Ride trike comes fully assembled and is covered by a one-year warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Cute Bike But High Seat A Problem
Looking for a 2nd Tricycle for my 2 yr. old daughter's daycare, we went to TRU last evening to take a look. She absolutely loved the look of this one, but unfortunately could not swing her leg over the seat to get on and off easily. We have a 10" Radio Flyer Classic at home that she has no problem with and rides all over the place (we love it). Also, while riding in the store the handlebar bumped against something and tipped right over (as almost all do).I was also concerned with the plastic compartment on the back as my crazy girl would be standing on it (I'm sure)and could break it or hurt herself.

After checking all of them out I decided to go with the Kiddi-o Simba ST1 for only $29.99, didn't want to spend to much since this will be an extra bike.Just called the store, they had one left and it's assembled and waiting for me.Hopefully it will be worth all the research.

2-0 out of 5 stars great trike, when working
My daughter got this tricycle as a gift.It was great- even though the handle doesn't help turn the bike, my 2 year old was really enjoying it.After less than 6 months of use however, the wheel fell off the bike.I've heard it's nearly impossible to find this part and essentially IT is non-existent.

I don't have the owners manual and I haven't been able to use the bike since. It just sits in our garage gathering up dust.I'll probably donate it just to get it out of our garage.maybe a mechanic can make a part for it.

1-0 out of 5 stars It Does Tip Easily.
My husband and I went to the local Toysrus store to see which side of the mixed reviews is right. This is a cute tricycle for sure. When we were looking at it in the store, an employee aproached us and said, "I wouldn't recommend you that.Unfortunately, it tips easily." I pushed one side of the handle down, and it did tip SO easily. The employee went on and said, "I'm a mother, too.I can't recommend something I wouldn't buy for my own children."She showed us another trike, which was around $60, if I remember right. This was MUCH stabler than the Fold-2-Go, and didn't move a bit even when I pushed one side hard enough in the attempt to make it tip.We didn't make any purchase that day after all, but we sure appreciated the honesty and kindness of the store clerk. ... Editorial Review

This sturdy plastic car gives toddlers and young preschoolers the basic thrills of a real car, while parents can relax, knowing that this cherry-red sports car can go only as fast as their kids' little feet can carry them. Children sit on a bench-style driver's seat and poke their legs through to the ground. When they start walking, the car begins to scoot. The front wheels swirl like stroller wheels, making them especially responsive to the steering wheel. The front dash features a pretend key with a Little Tikes key chain and a horn button that beeps when pushed. A small storage bin in back can carry traveling gear or simply a stash of road snacks. Approximately 35 inches tall, 25 inches long, and 16 inches wide. --Gail Hudson ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars I must have got a lemon...
I just went through all 129 reviews for this toy, and most of them were glowing. My son received this car for his 2nd b-day and absolutely loves it.The only frustrating thing is that the steering wheel keeps coming off!Believe me, it wasn't easy to figure out how to put it on in the first place! It comes off almost every time he plays with it, and when that happens we have to wait for daddy to come home and fix it, because mommy is clueless.Just thought you potential buyers should know.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Riding Toy Ever!!
My son love this foot powered ride on!He was quite disappointed as he slowly realized that it doesn't really fit him any more.He is now almost 6 and I would say if you have a tall child, or larger footed child then they will out grow it faster. My son started to feel cramped by late four yearsor early five years of age.His feet would get stuck coming out if he had shoes on, but bare foot worked great.Head was getting pretty close to roof as well. But then again he is in the 90% for height!!

This is an awesome toy, and is sturdy, fun, imaginative. You can't go wrong!

4-0 out of 5 stars not a good first ride on.
My son recieved this as a Christmas gift.I really wanted to wait until his 2nd birthday, but a family member bought it without telling us. Anyways...
I was looking at the Little tike race car toys for a first ride on, not this. This car was difficult to put together. The instructions were horrible (no words all pictures). After a few hours dh and I got it together. My son loves it, he jumped in turned the wheel, but the car didn't move.He plays in the car everyday, but has no clue how to get it to move.He also holds the door while getting his foot in and the car toppled over twice (on level ground).I have to walk around and push it for him.He also slid out from under the car afew times. The more he tried to get up or me help him get up, the more the car would move over him. He does push it himself, but he would rather ride in it than push it. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Love this bike - don't worry about brakes
We found that the pedals on most trikes are too far from the seat, and other little bikes have pedals on the front wheel which are hard to reach and which turn the wheel left and right when the child pedals. My daughter used this bike at 2 1/2 but we still had to push her a little bit.Although the bike *is* heavy, I think the problem was more in her coordination because early in the second summer she used it, one week it "clicked" and she just took off on it.She rode it everywhere the summer that she was 3 1/2.We have a fairly sloped driveway and by pushing the pedals backwards she could stop the bike at the bottom.(Also enjoyed making it go backwards.)She has a little brother and I love that he will be able to use this bike next, because it is gender neutral.

Also worth noting: we ran over one training wheel with the car and the company replaced it for just $3.50 including shipping.

5-0 out of 5 stars AWSOME 1ST bike for 2 year old!
We got this 10" bike for our son for Christmas when he was 20 months old.It only took a couple days of practice and he was whizzing all over the place in it.We chose this over the tricycle because when we tested them out in the store, the 10" with training wheels was much easier for him to control. All the bikes with the pedals attached to the wheel seemed to be more difficult to pedal. We also love the fact that instead of brakes, the bike pedals backward. Our son quickly learned how to manouver out of tight spots buy pedaling backward then forward again without ever having to get off the bike. When he is a bit older we will probably buy him a bike with brakes, but for a little guy who isn't out riding in the street alone, this bike is perfect.

We had to leave off the red plastic piece under the seat for him to be able to reach the pedals at first. That made the height just perfect. He is now almost 3 years old and still LOVES this bike.We have adjusted the height a couple times since he got it and lifted the training wheels a bit so he can start learning to balance without them.

The only thing on this bike that has broken in the 15 months we've had it is the bell.It broke after about 8 months of hard play. That's okay though. We didn't buy the bike for the bell.

All in all, this is THE BEST CHOICE when buying a child their first bike. It's not only a beautiful bike, but it is very durable and SUPER-EASY for little ones to ride.I recommend this for any little BOY or GIRL as their first bike.

2-0 out of 5 stars Adorable but way too heavy (and, no, there are no breaks....
We bought this bike for our son a year ago, for his third birthday.I liked that it was a nice small size and the look was gender neutral and gorgeous. However, we have been very disappointed with the bike's performance. It is just so HEAVY.My son has a really hard time getting going on it and going uphill just doesn't seem to work for him on this bike. One mistake that I won't make again is trying to surprise him with the bike and not trying it out ahead of time in the store. We will soon buy him a new bike and this time will take him to a real bike shop to be fitted and to try out the bike. ...
