3-0 out of 5 stars disapointed!
steering mechanism is faulty. It tips over very easily. Don't forget your protective gear when riding. The push bar is okay. I expected more from radio flyer.

1-0 out of 5 stars dangerous trike!
My son loves the trike. It is cute, stylish, and the push bar is great when he "lets" use it.But when he rides it himself it falls over with every turn.He has benn scratched and bruised from this fatal flaw. I reccomend it be recalled.

1-0 out of 5 stars Great idea - poor execution for Radio Flyer
We received the trike as a gift and it seemed so perfect for our toddler.Assembly was a little difficult and we had to improvise. After 3 weeks of occasional use, the plastic steering parts began to crack.Radio Flyer was quick to send out new parts stating there has been a problem with the plastic parts.Reassembled with new parts and it worked again for another 4 weeks. We took off the steering bar and hoped to use the trike that way.Unfortunately that didn't work either. We just set it out with the garbage which possessed me to write a review. ... This toy is excellent i brought this for my 1 year old daugther for her first birthday and she loves it. She plays on it everyday when she comes in from daycare. 4-0 out of 5 stars Cute for toddlers
My 1 yr old daughter got this as a gift for her first christmas. It was her favorite gift! The music and sounds first got her interest, and now at 16 mos, she can sit and push the jeep on her own.The only thing I'd change is the lights on the back, the whole piece keeps coming off, not too secure.Other than that a fun first ride-on toy. ... Editorial Review

This action-packed, energy burning rider offers a playground of thrills in even the smallest backyard. Bringing together three popular activities in one unique high-energy ride--bouncing on an oversized inflatable ball, rocking on a teeter-totter, and whirling on a merry-go-round--this rider is sure to please the playground connoisseur. Hop on the seat, bounce on the ball, and pivot right, left, or even spin completely around. For stability the stay-put base must be weighted with a minimum of 90 pounds of dry sand (not included). Only for use by children under 70 pounds. Winner of the 2002 Parents' Choice Foundation Silver Honor Award. --Deb Oroszlan ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Lots of fun for 3 year old!
I was suprised by the number of negative reviews on this item. I actually purchased mine secondhand so I did not have to go through the filling of the base with sand, this was already done.We have had it for about a week and my daughter has bounced on it every day.She just turned three and is pretty big for her age, and she does not have any trouble at all reaching the floor. She really enjoys bouncing on it so I think your child would need to be at least three to be able to enjoy this toy.She has not been able to spin it at all, but since she just enjoys bouncing, I don't think it is necessary.Overall, I think it is an enjoyable toy as long as your child is big enough and old enough to play with it.I do not think I would have paid 60.00 for it though.

4-0 out of 5 stars My little guy loves it
I read all the reviews but decided to see for myself.First of all, the playground sand was not that difficult to get in, it just took a while to do it but I have spent much more time putting other toys together. With the ball completely inflated, my son, who is almost two, couldn't quite reach the floor.I let some air out of the ball and he could reach the floor and still had plenty of bounce. He still enjoys Mommy helping him bounce but he can do it himself too.In a couple of months, I'm sure he will be able to spin around by himself too.Overall, I think this is a great toy.

My kids did not enjoy this product at all. It did not bounce and whirl. my kids were tired and bored on it they did not stay on it long because they had to push and work very hard for it to bounce at all for them to have a little enjoyment out of it.the item does not go high they have to use there legs to do all the work i give this product a thumbs down, and alot of my friends bought this for their children and they all said the same thing. ... Nothing gets a kid's attention like a fire engine racing by, and nowhere's a bright red version that's pleasingly kid size. The Fire Engine for Twois bright red, 31 inches long, 32 inches tall, and made of tough and ruggedplastic. The ignition key turns with a satisfying ratchety sound, the steeringwheel rotates, and the front wheels are entirely mobile, making quick turns andsudden reversals a snap. It's powered, in the best Flintstones tradition, byyour little one's feet moving under the seat, and there's an extra seat in backfor a friend to ride along. Like any proper emergency vehicle, it also has asiren and flashing red light, located right on the dashboard, that activate withthe press of a button. Whether it's an emergency run to the cookie jar or a dollthat needs a trip to the hospital, the Fire Engine for Two will get a couple ofkids going in a hurry. --John Longenbaugh ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Fire Engine for 2
I really think the construction of this is very poor and when you go to install the roof supports the fasteners that they give you are the kind that once you install them they will never come out. I think the company should have dome some more thought into it. There are diifernt kinds of fasteners that are safe for the kids that can be removed like a nylon screw with a nut. Also the roof support does not sit flush in the hole so when you go and tap the bolt in the hole the pole will shift upwards and you can miss the hole. I even tried to contact the company through their e-mail and also tried to call and no one has called me back. This was a birthday gift that I now have to try to get the roof support secured so it is safe. I will never again buy a step 2 product based on this experience. Also the front wheels they are very hard to turn. I tried to move it with nobody in it and the wheels went where ever they wanted to go except the direction that I was heading.

couldn't find your " let us know icon" Your price for this toy on line is 59.99 at walmart.com it is 49.94 and at target.com it is 49.99. Since I have always had great success with amazon/toysrus I would rather purchase this item through you, but this is a huge price difference. Especially when you have to add shipping costs. Thank you Erica Strahl.

I have had three of this item in the past 3 months and am not happy with any of them .I am returning the third one soon. Steering and wheels are not working correctly. Two children can tip it over also. I bought it for my grandchildren and the kids in my daycare center.A BIG disappointment for me and a BIG hassle to keep returning it to the factory.

This sturdy plastic car gives toddlers and young preschoolers the basic thrills of a real car, while parents can relax, knowing that this cherry-red sports car can go only as fast as their kids' little feet can carry them. Children sit on a bench-style driver's seat and poke their legs through to the ground. When they start walking, the car begins to scoot. The front wheels swirl like stroller wheels, making them especially responsive to the steering wheel. The front dash features a pretend key with a Little Tikes key chain and a horn button that beeps when pushed. A small storage bin in back can carry traveling gear or simply a stash of road snacks. Approximately 35 inches tall, 25 inches long, and 16 inches wide. --Gail Hudson ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Pain to Assemble!!!!!!!!!
I would buy this only if I had carving knife or something to melt plastic like a rod iron
Yes, that's right the parts won't fit!!!!
Not wonder its $40 dollars.

5-0 out of 5 stars Kids love it!
We have had this toy for over 3 years, since my son was 1. Now at 4, he STILL is enjoying it, along with my 2 yr old daughter. They both play with it just about every day, and it is still in great shape. Every single child who comes over to play, gravitates to the car and loves it. I think it is nice to have a toy that doesn't do everything for you and make all the noises for you. The kids can actually be kids and use their imaginations and coordination skills! Definitely worth the money, and then some!

Ihesitated to buy this car for my granddaughter after seeing all the reviews on how hard this car was to put together. My husband and I assembled the car according to the directions and were relieved that it went together so well.My 15 month granddaughter loved the car and wouldn't get out of it all Christmas Day.She opened her other presents in the car, ate in the car and has a wonderful time playing in it.This was a great purchase and I'm glad I ignored the other reviews and bought it for her. ... When little wobblers are bored with walls and sofa edges, andthere's no one to offer a hand, they can two-foot it safely across thatopen ocean of living-room floor with the help of the Step Start walker. This dual-purpose toy acts as stable support as they learn to walk, then lets them roll along when they want to ride. Once they are secureon their legs, the walker converts easily to a first ride-on toy. (Onlyadults can operate the wheel-lock mechanism.) 5-0 out of 5 stars Her first car.....
Yes, my daughter treated this as her very first car. She parked it, and was very territorial with it. This all lasted about 6-8 months. Now she just uses it as a secret storage. If we can't find something of hers, we can always look in the little compartment and find what's missing!! I love this item as she played with all of the features on it. She didn't push herself until she was almost 18 months old, laziness is my guess. I recommend this as an indoor ride on.

4-0 out of 5 stars It Gets the Job Done
We bought this for our son when he started cruising at about 8 months. At first he was only interested in the noise makers but as he gained confidence he started to really move around with it and now he LOVES it.It has also helped him increase his balance. The base isn't really wide enough for new walkers as they tend to walk with their legs wider apart but our son didn't have any problem working around that. You do need to be careful on floors that aren't carpeted since the wheels will move fast - maybe too fast for a little one.I chose this particular model because it's one of the few on the market WITHOUT noise and lights, etc.It was easy enough to put together but it does take some practice to make the conversion from ride-on to walker.Once you get it, it's a breeze - just make sure you test it with a tug before you let baby have at it.It's very cute and our son loves the toys on it and likes to make a game of "hiding" toys in the storage compartment.

5-0 out of 5 stars Son loved this car!

1-0 out of 5 stars The paint wears off quickly!
This is a cute little fire engine. However, we have been very disapointed because the paint wore off after just 1-2 months! It is so faded that someone asked us if it was an antique!!

3-0 out of 5 stars Fun toy but difficult to ride
My son loves this fire engine! He likes to play with the bell and the horn, but it is difficult for a parent to push due to the turning radius. It's hard to steer, and barely able to push it in a straight path. This toy is fun, but hard work for the parent and child.

2-0 out of 5 stars Very cute, but very hard to steer
This is an adorable lil' fire engine, and my twin sons love the look of the toy, and enjoy playing with the bell and the horn. But it is also VERY heavy, awkward and has very little in the way of turning radius. The steering wheel just barely turns left and right. This frusterates them more often than not, which is why I rate the toy only a 2 for fun. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars The Cons...
The assembly instructions are vague at points. Here are some pointers so you don't make the same mistakes I did:
1) Put the tire stickers on BEFORE you put steel axle through!

2) Be careful how you put on the front wheels. I got left and right wrong and had to diassemble and redo. B/c of this, one piece broke but it came with an extra so I was lucky.
3) Part "N" is not a screw, it's the bigger plastic orange piece.
4) There are 2 ways to set the door. One is to nail only 1 screw so you can slide and lock door. The other is to nail 2 screws so your child can open/close as they please.
As I said, they give you only visual instructions so you get confused at some points, but if you follow my tips you can do it yourself in no time. Oh and my 17 month old son LOVES his new car.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not for very long walks
I bought this toy as an alternative to my stroller for taking walks around the neighborhood. My son (I bought this for him at 17 months) would get bored in the stroller, so I thought this would be fun.Well, he does really like this car, but there are some issues with it. First, there is no safety belt, so your child can attempt to stand whenever the desire moves them.Second, when pushing him on cement it is extremely loud (my husband wanted me to stop using it for this reason alone--I cannot overemphasize how loud this thing is!We were concerned with hearing loss).Last, although there is a cup holder on the inside for baby, it would be nice to have some type of holder on the exterior for the parents--to hold a beverage, or keys or something. If the wheels were redesigned to make this toy quieter, an exterior cup holder added, and especially a safety belt added I would give this 5 stars. For now, I give it 3.

4-0 out of 5 stars Really needs a seatbelt
My husband and I really loved this toy, especially the functionality of the removable handle, so we took our son to the local Toys R' Us to try it out.My son absolutely loved it, but he kept sliding down in the seat and trying to climb out.We looked at a few other competitor's models and found them to have safety belts, which made them preferable. We cannot understand why a company as large as Little Tykes that specializes in children's toys does not comprehend the need for a safety belt on their ride on toys!Anyway, we read one of the reviews on this toy where a woman ordered a replacement belt for the toddler high back swing from the Little Tykes website and drilled and cut holes in this car and added this seat belt to make it safer.Well, we found a better way of installing a seat belt.A competitor, Step 2, has a product called the "Push Around Buggy" which has a seat belt that screws into the car.I went to their website and called their phone number and ordered a replacement belt for their item, which only costs around $2.50!What a deal!Well, all you have to do is screw the seat belt straps into each side of the car and viola', you have a safer version of the Little Tykes Cozy Push and Ride Car.We sincerely hope Little Tykes will catch on to parent's concerns about the safety of their little ones and make sure all of their ride on toys are equipped with a safety belt! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars AWESOME!!
MY SON RECEIVED THIS ROCKER FOR HIS FIRST BIRTHDAY. HE IS NOW 3 1/2 AND STILL LOVES THIS THING. IT'S VERY SAFE AND STURDY. THE LOUD SIREN NOISES CAN BECOME IRRITATING AFTER A WHILE, BUT IT'S STILL HIGHLY RECCOMENDED!

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun, durable toy! For boys & Girls.
My son received this as gift for his first birthday. He took to it immediately! He had just begun walking but it was easy enough for him to climb on/off. The various buttons/knobs with various sounds intrigued him. One year later he still enjoys riding on it.Even the girls in our playgroup love to play on it, and it has endured many obstacles.Highly recommended.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great size for 1-year old rocker...
We LOVE this rocker, and so does my son. We bought this for his 1st Christmas, when he was almost 12 months old. He didn't take much interest in it then, but about a month later when he learnt to get on and off it, he took great delight in getting on and starting to rock with a huge smile on his face. It's the perfect size too - a friend bought him a fisher price rocking bike that converts to a trike, and at 14-months he still cannot get on that by himself. The only real problem with this bike is that the key does not always work - Adam can never get it to work and I can only do it if I pull it slightly towards me while turning. I'm sure that Little Tikes would replace it, if only I could find the time to call them.... Also, it's extremely loud, so be warned if that's of concern to you. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Lots of fun
We purchased this as 12 volt ride on and have had no problems. Our son is 3 and we live on 2 acres.I was concerned that it would have difficulty moving up some of our fairly steep inclines, esspecially after reading that the gator had a higher grading rate, but it performs better than I could have imagined!Actually, it performs better than the neighbors gator as far as going up some of the inclines. It has a little zippered pouch on the back for picking up any flowers or mulch or whatever else a 3 year old could think of.I do imagine he will outgrow it sooner than the larger peg four wheeler, but he enjoys it and fits great on it.I hope it will be around when our 1 year old is old enough for it.

3-0 out of 5 stars Fun, but not durable
We used the trike for about 2 weeks before the handle broke. Our son is at the age right now that the handle is very important. We are looking to see how we can order just a handle.Once he gets a little older, I'm sure he will love peddling it!:) The bike itself is very sturdy...just bad handle!

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Bike, but Won't last long
I got this bike in September for my 2 year old. We've had a great 6 weeks with it, but recently the handle started moving to one side and then yesterday it broke completely off leaving only a tricycle with no handle to push.

The weld holding the handle on to the bike was poorly done and it broke off after only 6 weeks of use. I was still able to return it to TRU , but the new one has a leaning handle so I expect to return this one in a month for a different product...IT was a GREAT Bike...While it lasted:( ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Very disappointed
I purchased this for my 20 month old son, and he is not interested at all!In the Rock mode, the bottom does not curve very much so it really doesn't do much rocking. After about a month of him not playing with it, we moved up to the Ride mode.He played with it for about a day, but as soon as he saw me pushing him from behind with the parent's handle, he decided he wanted to do that.So now he hardly ever plays with it, and when he does, he pushes it around like a stroller.I guess soon I will just take the handle off, and see if he will ride it.However it seems to me that the handle is hard to turn side to side, so we might just have to go get a regular tricycle. We've only had it for a couple of months, so I hope as he gets older maybe he'll like it more.Overall, very disappointed and would never recommend this to anyone.

2-0 out of 5 stars Rock, Roll and Ride Delux
We bought the Fisher Price Rock, Roll and Ride Delux for my son shortly after his first birthday. He has only used the toy indoors in the rock mode, being that it was winter when we purchased it.We bought the Delux model because my son loves lights and sounds.Immediately when we bought it we noticed that the lights and sounds options did not function in the rock mode like they were intended to.The lights are supposed to go off when your child rocks it.I even got on it (I weigh 100 lbs) and rocked and couldnt get the lights to come on.There are little buttons in the steering column that seem to control lights and sound function that arent working properly. We are a bit disappointed seeing how we bought the delux version for the lights and sounds which dont function well.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great ride on for indoors and outdoors !!!
My son got this present for his first birthday and it is his favorite toy.He is able to ride it inside the house, or he just climbs on it and rocks and presses all the buttons. He also rides it outdoors. He absolutely loves this trike. He has been climbing on it by himself before he could even walk. This is a great toy!!! ... Editorial Review

Soup up the wagon and upgrade the ride to first class with this top-quality padding from the makers of America's original little red wagon. One-inch-thick pads smooth the wrinkles of the road and cushion and protect passengers from jolts and bumps. All cushions are covered in bright red, matte-finish vinyl, with edge binding sewn in heavy-duty thread. The bed pad measures 14 by 1 by 32.5 inches. The two end pads measure 15 by 1 by 5.625 inches, and the two side pads are 33 by 1 by 5.625 inches. The smaller pads fasten around the slats with Velcro webbing fasteners. The pads fit Radio Flyer wagons with stake sides (models #22, 24, 28, and 32). Ava Natov ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars BP#29 Wagon & #29 Pad Set
The wagon is perfect, however, the pads are too small and do not fit the wagon. This was very disappointing. Especially for a small child without any pads.

2-0 out of 5 stars Fit IS an issue...
Don't disregard the comments about this pad set not fitting the ATW model.Radio Flyer makes several wagons and pad sets. The large ATW requires Radio Flyer set #BP29 (which Amazon does not carry). The smaller ATW model uses set #BP24.

In short, I'd check the Radio Flyer site before finalizing your decision to buy.Otherwise you'll be returning product to Amazon.

5-0 out of 5 stars Radio Flyer Pads - Fit Great on Model 32
Folks, you can disregard the comments made by a previous reviewer who stated that these pads do not fit radio flyer wagons with two slats. They fit just fine on our Model 32 ATW wagon. The picture on the package does not match the contents exactly. There are large velcro pieces (3 on each side) and they wrap around the top slat.My son loves his wagon now and won't get out of it. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Still great fun after a year & a half!
We received this for my son's first birthday. He legs were far too short to make use of it at one, and he's not a short kid.He used it effectively as a walk-behind for quite a while. He did like the phone right away, but it broke very early on.The under-seat storage has always been a big hit.And he discovered on his own that the front comes off for use as a tote (aka "my toolbox").At just 2-½ and 37", he is still using his fire truck, and loves it.For us, this is an inside toy and perfect on our hardwood floors.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great value!
This is a great ride on toy for the money.I wanted something simple and fun and thats what we got!It doesn't have any fancy noisemakers or lights to get annoyed with. It's just good, old fashioned fun.My son loves to store his water cup in the secret compartment while he makes laps around the house. He's only had a it a few weeks, but I see lots of good make believe play in the future!

5-0 out of 5 stars The best "bike" for the little people
My little guy has had a blast with this bike for almost 2 years (he's short for his age). The handle on the back helped him learn to walk at age 1 and he's been chugging along on it since. He's even getting a little daredevil-ish down slopes these days. The boy can cruise quicker than you'd think on this thing, even on a level sidewalk with foot-power.

This "bike" is a great buy.The seat opens up and is large enough to put lots of rocks, hot wheels, etc in. The bike is lightweight, plastic is sturdy, price is cheap, all functions well.

The "toybox" on the front does come off but we've just left it on so that it doesn't get to where it is too loose to stay on (plastic clips will wear out).It looks better on anyway and the toybox is too small for any real use other than a simulated "engine replacement."Use the under-seat compartment for toys, etc.

As far as the review by "kt" about the bike being too low for use outside, at about 15 months I cut the little safety tabs (visible in picture - made to keep it from tipping over front or back) off with kitchen scissors and it is still VERY stable and has never flipped over in either direction - even under recent "advanced freestyle" use.

And for the review by "Dorothy Rosa "flyawayhome"" - some people just can't handle REAL life so they insist that everyone else join their make-believe world. There is a pink/white version of the bike for those who want to bring out the feminine/ist in their boys. ... Read more

Editorial Review

A tinier version of the traditional Radio Flyer steel trike, this 10-inch classic couldn't get any cuter without an anxious toddler onboard. Wide handlebars with grips, matching red pedals, a step in back for piggybacking, and a wide two-color seat give it a distinctly retro look. But its old-fashioned style doesn't take away from its functionality--the ride is smooth.--Diane Beall ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars For older kids
I bought this for my son's 2nd birthday. He is turning 3 in a few weeks and finally can touch the pedels. This toy should be for 3 and up. It has been basicly sitting on my porch for a year untouched. And the weather here is nice all year. Also a wheel felloff. He barely ever used the bike. now he can reach the pedels and he can't ride it because we have to go buy a cap to hold on the wheel.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not the best you can buy - needs to be heavier
We bought this tricycle for our three-year-old and had the same problem as everyone else here has - the steering on the handlebars just doesn't stay put. We've had to adjust ours numeous times too.It gets used, but it just isn't all that safe. You HAVE to use a helmet with this guy because it's VERY easy to tip over, which is a huge deal for the age group for which this is intended. It's nice that they kept the classic styling but there's one thing they shouldn't have kept - how dastardly easy it is to get your foot under that back bar and scrape the top of your foot!I did that a zillion times as a kid and now, I'm doing it again with my child's bike!I HATE that! And, I have the scars to prove it.

All-in-all, if you like nostalgia, then by all means, avail yourself of this product. But quite frankly, I'd buy something else more study.I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND anyone letting their child use this product unsupervised. It just tips over way too much.I get the willies each time I see this guy go down the driveway.Good thing I've been there each time this thing has tipped over.

2-0 out of 5 stars Cute, but not safe
We have been very disappointed with this trike. Not only will the steering wheel not stay positioned properly, but it is very tippy and dangerous. My son has had this trike for a year, and now at 3 it is still a hazard.Children sit up so high and the broad turning radius causes the trike to tip over very easily causing a big fall.We are going to buy a Kettler instead and anticipate better results.Cute to look at, but best left at the store, at least for 3 year olds. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars simple and lightweight
My wife and I bought this seat for our 16 month old and are completely satisfied with it for the price. We went right out for a ride and it was very sturdy. I could hardly tell my son was with me. It was a cinch to put together if your the least bit mechanically inclined. I put some extra velcro stips behind the padding to keep it secured. The only piece I thought was really cheap was the plastic guard. When it eventually tears apart I'll invent my own version.

5-0 out of 5 stars We Love It !!!
We recently purchased this so we can take our 2 year old on family bike rides. It fit on my husbands Mongoose mountian bike perfectly and my son LOVES it.It took about 1/2 hour to install and we could not be happier. We love it.

1-0 out of 5 stars Nothing to pay money for
I am pretty disappointed with this seat all the way round. I have installed many things and assembled too many to count. This seat by FAR was the biggest pain in the bottom I have ever come across. I'm sure it's great for a bike that is spot on perfect to the one they built this for. Sway from that in the slightest and beware : /

The padding is thin and offers little comfort. The height they list on the box is also misleading. My daughter qualified under the numbers but her feet could go past the safety cover they offer.

It may be an extreme response but I hated this seat so much I'm not even going to try another. I'm going straight to a trailer. Hauling a RV would be less stressful to me than another seat like this . ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Get A Garden Cart Instead!
After looking at the decline in quality and increase in ridiculously high prices with regards to the Radio Flyer line of wagons, we ended up buying a lovely red garden cart from a local garden store for a fraction of the cost of the largest Radio Flyer wagon. It has real rubber tires, enough room for all three of our kids, deep sides that prevent falling out, and glides like dream! We just added a nice padded liner for comfort and away to the park we all go!There is also a 400lb weight capacity, so it can be used for plenty of yard projects as well!

2-0 out of 5 stars Not worth the money
We bought this wagon a couple of years ago. I must agree with one of the reviewers, it rusts. We had to finally throw it away. It is uncomfortable for the kids and if they are too young they have a hard time staying in because the sides are not that high and there are no seat belts. I would recommend buying a different wagon especially if you have more than one child.

5-0 out of 5 stars The kidzzz loved it!
We found this brand new wagon beside our garbage dump...
It was just there with the cardboard shipping paper still in it!Well, to say the least...my husband took it and my 10 year old and 29 month old just had a ball!
they have gone to the patio and just played with it or walked around the complex with it.The 10 year old likes to be in it with her sister...
So, embarrassing, it wasn't!She had more fun than all of us!

I just rated this 5 stars...what a blessing it was to find this! ... Read more
