This rocker is dangerous
My daughter received this pony as a gift. It did not look very sturdy but she seemed to like it.When she was trying to climb on the pony over the head the handle broke off and the sharp screw that held the handle on gouged her leg. This toy is unsafe.

I read all the reviews on this toy and figured it must be really great if so many people are wondering when it's coming back in stock. So when it showed up for my daughter's first birthday, I was in shock! This thing is AWEFUL! Not only is it ugly (is it just me or do the eyes look a little evil?), but it is so small that there is no way my soon-to-be one year old (who is kinda short for her age) would be able to use this without bending her legs. It's good for maybe a baby doll but I really DO NOT recommend this pony. Spring for the other and get much more use out of the product. Those other people should be lucky it was out of stock for so long!!

Don't buy this bike has NO BRAKES!!!!
We bought this bike for our dauther's 2nd birthday and she fits on the bike great but it has NO BRAKES. How is she going to learn how to ride a bike correctly if it does not operate like a normal bike? They should put this information on the box so you will know before you buy it how unsafe this bike really is.

Still works great after 6 years
My son got this wagon for his first birthday.He will be 7 soon and we still have it and use it.I also have a 2 year old and he loves to ride in it.It has never tipped over.The only thing I don't like on mine is how the wheels are wobbly.They started doing this after about a year.They don't look like they are going to fall off or anything, they are just really loud when you pull the wagon. I like how the sides come off too.We have used it at the parade and just take one side off and the kids hang their feet over and use it as a chair.

Awesome wagon for kids that like to pull eachother!
We were looking for a wagon for our kids to play with together NOT for us to use very often to transport them around. This wagon is perfect for the kids. My kids ages 6, 4, and 2 have a blast pulling eachother around the backyard. The wagon has never tipped even when they ram it into a wall. It does not tip when they get in and out either. The wheels stay still as they climb in and out but it seems to pull easily for them. My 2 year old can even pull my 4 year old in it. The back and sides are a great height to not worry about them falling out backwards or sideways if they keep their bottoms down in it and it is so much fun when being pulled, they are usually giggling until it stops rather than thinking about standing up. The side rails may be removed easily and put back easily but they don't fall out on their own. I guess it is a bit easier to climb in with the rail off but my kids don't mind climbing over and never remove the rails...even the 2 year old climbs over fine although she is a climber. I have fit all three children in this for a short pull and it is very cramped with them complaining of "whose sitting on whose this or that". But two fit comfortably and would be able to be pulled around face to face for quite awhile. The wagon is also easy to maneuver. This wagon is awesome for kids to just play with and we plan on keeping it in our backyard for our grandkids. It has been 6 months out in the weather and thus far, it shows no wear. A great buy!

cute and durable toy

Not an inside toy......VERY LOUD!
My daughter is two now, and she still can't reach the floor when sitting on it. She giggles hysterically when we push her in it and bounce her up and down, but it is sooooo noisy! I mean, I have never had a ride on toy that was so "nails on a chalkboard" irritating. We don't usually play with it long, she gets bored, and I need asprin. Buy a hoppy-hop ball, it's cheaper and MUCH quieter!

I am soo satsified with this purchase.I read the other reviews, and was worried at first, but i have had no problems.as for the noise, either leave the part out, or don't expect a child to be quiet!!!The assembly was not that bad.If a toy is a bit more difficult to assemble, then at least i know it will be durable and not fall apart when my son is riding it.Great job Little Tikes, once again!!

An Inexpensive Joy
My son received this for Christmas last year and he was 1 at the time and it is really a great toy.He enjoys putting his stuffed animals in and out of the basket and pretending he is taking them for a ride.The bike is very durable, easy for a child to get on and off of and wont ever tip over.This toy taught him them concept of moving his feet on the bike...he is now almost 2 and still loves riding it all over the house.Definately worth your 20$ ... Not sturdy
The Farm Play Around by Tek Nekis easy to fall over. My daughter would try to get on and we would have to pick the toy and her off the ground. Not a good toy for the money.

1-year old enjoys it, but extremely loud!
I have a different version of this -- it's looks like fire truck -- but it's by the same manufacturer and I'm sure it's exactly the same other than the color/design.

My son (11 1/2 months) loves it.Under the clear plastic in front of the steering wheel is a little scene with a fire truck, a dog and some other things.When you push the buttons to play the music, the fire truck and dog go around and around, and my son is fascinated by this!However, the music is really, really loud!!Fortunately the tune that is plays is pretty cute, so it's not too awful.But it is definitely one of the loudest toys I have heard, and there's no volume control.

That said, I didn't realize until I saw the product here that it is not intended for kids under 3!I have a 3-year old as well, and it is definitely not appropriate for her.She's just not interested.I will let my 11 1/2 year old continue to play with it but only when I am able to watch closely.

The quality is not all that great.There is a piece of plastic on the front axle that slides out of place and then causes the whole front axle to fall off the toy.In addition, even after putting in fresh batteries, the music feature seems to work only intermittently.It does work more often than not, but every once in a while it just makes a buzzing sound.

But all in all, my son does love this.He's had it for about a month now and has not lost interest.

I was looking to buy this toy for a friends 12 month old, however, there is a choking hazard for children under 3.Why then is it listed as appropiate for a 12-24 month old? Mine broke after thirty minutes of use.
My twenty-month old daughter received this tricycle for Christmas this year. We hit a warm spell this past week so we decided to take her for a walk in it finally. The steering cable broke after just thirty minutes of use! I did not walk fast and I did not make many turns or travel over rough terrain. I strolled at a leisurely pace on the sidewalks in my neighborhood. I was shocked and disappointed when the steering no longer worked. When I took it apart to see why the steering had gone out I discovered why.

The steering mechanism that allows the parent to steer using the handlebar in back is constructed very badly. It consists of two thin cables of wires in a black rubber sheath which run along both sides from the child's handlbar in front to the adult's handlebar in back. When the adult turns their handlebar, it pulls the wire and turns the child's handlebar in the front.

The problem is how the cables attach to the adult's handlebar. The unsheathed end of wires is wrapped around a bolt and secured with a nut and a thin metal clamp. The wires rub against the clamp when either handlebar is turned and the clamp cuts into the wires. These wires are so thin, I dare say you could cut through them without much effort with a pair of scissors! That's what happened to one of the cables on mine. The other one did not break, but already showed wear from rubbing against the clamp.

The rest of the tricycle seems to be rather sturdy, but if I had just wanted a plain old tricycle I would have saved myself some money and purchased one. To say that I am very disappointed is an understatement with as much as this thing costs. If I could give it negative stars, I would. Giving it one star is very much more than it deserves.

I no longer have the box nor do I have the receipt, so I hope Toys 'R' Us will still take it back. This time, I'm going to put my money into a Kettrike and see what happens.

My last word on this tricycle is: DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

Don't bother!
We purchased this because we thought it would be great for our 1 1/2 year old and 'grow' with her.Within the first week, the parent steering bar became non functional.We returned this item for a new one.The second one we purchased lasted maybe a month!The main reason why so many people like myself purchase this item is for the parent push bar that not only will push them along without breaking your back, but helps them control their steering.Don't waste your money - it's poorly constructed and there are much better trikes out there for your toddler than this one.Don't get drawn into the fancy cupholder...it doesn't last!

Not so great.
We bought our daughter this tricycle because it looked great, looking at the picture on the box.However it was a different story when we got it home.The biggest reason I bought it was because of the parent handle, and once assembled, I found that the parent handle is extremely hard to use.I had to push very hard, and the handle wiggles.It is very hard to steer with it as well.Also, the handle bars only worked for the first week.I would not recommend this one. ... Great multi-purpose toy!
I received a purple car (unlike the picture) like other reviewers but it was for my granddaughter so I didn't care!She is 2 1/2 and actually rides in the car very little but enjoys covering it with blankets or scarves and pushing her doll in it.Her little friend gets in the car as soon as he arrives.My favorite part is the horn!*@&!

Great toy worth every penny!!
My son was given this car at only 10 months old.I figured there was no way he could enjoy it so young.I was wrong... he absolutely loves this car and never grows tired of it.He climbs in and out and in and out... over and over again.He opens the gas cap and closes it.He opens the door and closes the door and pushes it around. As a matter of fact, pushing this car around helped my son learn to walk on his own. And then the sound buttons.He presses those and loveshearing them over and over again.All and all, I can say that I would recommend this for a 1 year old's birthday present.I think that my son will get maximum use out of this toy.He will be able to enjoy it until he is 4 or 5 years old.Also, about the sounds... this car has been left out in the pouring rain several times and it still works like a charm.This is a highly recommended toy.This is an all around great toy, it has helped my son learn and perfect quite a few motor skills, it has helped him learn some fine motor skills needed for pressing the buttons and opening the gas cap, it helps spark his imagination, it is easy to put together when you purchase it, and I would buy another one in a second.

You messed up my Grandsons Christmas
I placed my order and rcvd confirmation of the Tyke bike, blue, yellow and red, in color, for my gransons Christmas.This is the only thing he had asked for.It is his favorite toy at daycare.He opened it today, 12/19/04 since he and his mom will be traveling on xmas and they celebrated early.Much to our surprise and his VERY DISAPPOINTEMENT, he opened a purple and pink girls car.ALL HE DID WAS CRY WHEN HE COULDN'T PLAY WITH IT BECAUSE IT HAS TO BE EXCHANGED.I AM TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED WITH OUR SHIPPING AND QUALITY ASSURANCE ON THIS ORDER. ... Okay, but could be better!!
We bought the older fire truck for my son his first X-mas.He loved it, so we bought this one for my daughter.They were much better before the company changed them!The seat is much smaller and the lid isn't as durable. The storage compartment is not as deep and there really isn't much room to put things (my son was always putting the remote in his!) The music is waaayyy too loud and it only plays one song.The axle was bent the first day on the back wheels.The toy features around the bus aren't durable and aren't very easy for little hands to manuever.The safety feature in back to keep the bus from tipping backwards is set too low so it scrapes the floor a lot. My daughter seems to enjoy it, and maybe if we hadn't had the other first we might not notice so much, but they are definitely made much cheaper than a few years ago!! ... Read more
