Cute Bike But High Seat A Problem
Looking for a 2nd Tricycle for my 2 yr. old daughter's daycare, we went to TRU last evening to take a look.She absolutely loved the look of this one, but unfortunately could not swing her leg over the seat to get on and off easily.We have a 10" Radio Flyer Classic at home that she has no problem with and rides all over the place (we love it).Also, while riding in the store the handlebar bumped against something and tipped right over (as almost all do).I was also concerned with the plastic compartment on the back as my crazy girl would be standing on it (I'm sure)and could break it or hurt herself.

After checking all of them out I decided to go with the Kiddi-o Simba ST1 for only $29.99, didn't want to spend to much since this will be an extra bike.Just called the store, they had one left and it's assembled and waiting for me.Hopefully it will be worth all the research.

great trike, when working
My daughter got this tricycle as a gift.It was great- even though the handle doesn't help turn the bike, my 2 year old was really enjoying it.After less than 6 months of use however,the wheel fell off the bike.I've heard it's nearly impossible to find this part and essentially IT is non-existent.

I don't have the owners manual and I haven't been able to use the bike since.It just sits in our garage gathering up dust.I'll probably donate it just to get it out of our garage.maybe a mechanic can make a part for it.

It Does Tip Easily.
My husband and I went to the local Toysrus store to see which side of the mixed reviews is right.This is a cute tricycle for sure.When we were looking at it in the store, an employee aproached us and said, "I wouldn't recommend you that.Unfortunately, it tips easily." I pushed one side of the handle down, and it did tip SO easily.The employee went on and said, "I'm a mother, too.I can't recommend something I wouldn't buy for my own children."She showed us another trike, which was around $60, if I remember right. This was MUCH stabler than the Fold-2-Go, and didn't move a bit even when I pushed one side hard enough in the attempt to make it tip.We didn't make any purchase that day after all, but we sure appreciated the honesty and kindness of the store clerk. ... I must have got a lemon...
I just went through all 129 reviews for this toy, and most of them were glowing.My son received this car for his 2nd b-day and absolutely loves it.The only frustrating thing is that the steering wheel keeps coming off!Believe me, it wasn't easy to figure out how to put it on in the first place!It comes off almost every time he plays with it, and when that happens we have to wait for daddy to come home and fix it, because mommy is clueless.Just thought you potential buyers should know.

Best Riding Toy Ever!!
My son love this foot powered ride on!He was quite disappointed as he slowly realized that it doesn't really fit him any more.He is now almost 6 and I would say if you have a tall child, or larger footed child then they will out grow it faster.My son started to feel cramped by late four yearsor early five years of age.His feet would get stuck coming out if he had shoes on, but bare foot worked great.Head was getting pretty close to roof as well.But then again he is in the 90% for height!!

This is an awesome toy, and is sturdy, fun, imaginative.You can't go wrong!

not a good first ride on.
My son recieved this as a Christmas gift.I really wanted to wait until his 2nd birthday, but a family member bought it without telling us. Anyways...
I was looking at the Little tike race car toys for a first ride on, not this.This car was difficult to put together.The instructions were horrible (no words all pictures).After a few hours dh and I got it together.My son loves it, he jumped in turned the wheel, but the car didn't move.He plays in the car everyday, but has no clue how to get it to move.He also holds the door while getting his foot in and the car toppled over twice (on level ground).I have to walk around and push it for him.He also slid out from under the car afew times.The more he tried to get up or me help him get up, the more the car would move over him. Great Truck
Our daughter loves her truck. After going through two Hummers we decided to go with a power wheel. This is a great toy our daughter wants to drive all of the time. The truck is easy to steer unlike our Hummers that I could hardly turn. The truck comes with a one year warranty and we also purchased an extended warranty through Toys "r" us. The only downfall is the truck doesn't have a radio like her Hummer did but she doesn't seem to care. We wish we would have purchased this first instead of going through two Hummers and a lot of time of the phone with little tikes.

I got this truck for my 4 year old son. This truck is VERY hard to stir!! It is a piece of JUNK! and cost way to much money for the PLASTIC you get! I would save the $250 and upgrade to a METAL option! And something that comes with a warranty. Fisher Price & Mantel will not help you al ALL with any questions or problems! Big Dummy--A great hit!
Santa brought the Chevy Silverado to my sons, ages 3 and 5, last Christmas.They love it.They have had it for almost a year now and so far it has held up great.There is a real monster truck called "Big Dummy" , my boys have named their truck after this one.We were concerned about our 3 yr. old ( 2 1/2 last Xmas) that he wouldn't be able to manuver the steering and the gas, it did take him a little practice but in a few months he was driving like a pro.The only recomendation I would make to someone thinking of getting the Chevy Silverado is that,this is not a toy for a small yard.They need alot of space to practice turning and just driving in general.I hope your child(children) enjoy this a much as ours have.Oh by the way, if you are getting this for more than one child, my suggestion would be to get an additional battery because with 2 kids taking turns driving, the battery will run out before they will. Love this bike - don't worry about brakes
We found that the pedals on most trikes are too far from the seat, and other little bikes have pedals on the front wheel which are hard to reach and which turn the wheel left and right when the child pedals.My daughter used this bike at 2 1/2 but we still had to push her a little bit.Although the bike *is* heavy, I think the problem was more in her coordination because early in the second summer she used it, one week it "clicked" and she just took off on it.She rode it everywhere the summer that she was 3 1/2.We have a fairly sloped driveway and by pushing the pedals backwards she could stop the bike at the bottom.(Also enjoyed making it go backwards.)She has a little brother and I love that he will be able to use this bike next, because it is gender neutral.

Also worth noting: we ran over one training wheel with the car and the company replaced it for just $3.50 including shipping.

AWSOME 1ST bike for 2 year old!
We got this 10" bike for our son for Christmas when he was 20 months old.It only took a couple days of practice and he was whizzing all over the place in it.We chose this over the tricycle because when we tested them out in the store, the 10" with training wheels was much easier for him to control.All the bikes with the pedals attached to the wheel seemed to be more difficult to pedal.We also love the fact that instead of brakes, the bike pedals backward.Our son quickly learned how to manouver out of tight spots buy pedaling backward then forward again without ever having to get off the bike.When he is a bit older we will probably buy him a bike with brakes, but for a little guy who isn't out riding in the street alone, this bike is perfect.

We had to leave off the red plastic piece under the seat for him to be able to reach the pedals at first.That made the height just perfect.He is now almost 3 years old and still LOVES this bike.We have adjusted the height a couple times since he got it and lifted the training wheels a bit so he can start learning to balance without them.

The only thing on this bike that has broken in the 15 months we've had it is the bell.It broke after about 8 months of hard play.That's okay though.We didn't buy the bike for the bell.

All in all, this is THE BEST CHOICE when buying a child their first bike.It's not only a beautiful bike, but it is very durable and SUPER-EASY for little ones to ride.I recommend this for any little BOY or GIRL as their first bike.

We bought this bike for our son a year ago, for his third birthday.I liked that it was a nice small size and the look was gender neutral and gorgeous.However, we have been very disappointed with the bike's performance.It is just so HEAVY.My son has a really hard time getting going on it and going uphill just doesn't seem to work for him on this bike.One mistake that I won't make again is trying to surprise him with the bike and not trying it out ahead of time in the store.We will soon buy him a new bike and this time will take him to a real bike shop to be fitted and to try out the bike. ... A complete disaster - from assembly to the first ride
Although my 5 year-old son actually seems to like this "big wheel", the quality of the item is poor.The assembly process was painful and frustrating.After about 30 minutes of riding the trike, my son developed a painful welt on his mid back where the hard plastic digs in.I ended up taping a piece of 2 inch foam to the back rest to prevent further injury.Judging by the thickness of the plastic of the wheels, I'd give this item about 2 months of normal usage, at which time I'll send it to the trash dump where it will sit for the next 80 years or so.

I would avoid this item, and stick to higher rated big wheels from fisher price, or others.Very disappointing.

Poor design means short life
I have purchased several different Precision Plastic big wheels.All have a major design flaw -- the way that the pedals attach to the big front wheel.On one trike, the plastic fittings holding the axle/pedal onto the wheel was such a bad fit that the fitting fell off immediately.A different model had the same design, but fit well enough to hold the axle/pedal on the wheel; however, in normal use the fittings fall out. The child cannot fix the axle, and must find all the parts that fell off or the trike cannot be repaired. This is a very poor design which could have been fixed if the maunufacturer used a more traditional metal fastener.[...]. ... Read more

This is great for uneven yards.
We live in a very hilly neighborhood and our kids ride them all over the yard. They have great steering capabilities and powerful engine.

Great....buying another soon
My children rode this for several years starting at 1 1\2 it is very easy to steer. We had the barbie jeep and only my daughter could ride that one with her brother strapped beside her (which was fun but he wanted to ride too). So I would but the bike on low speed and turn the bikes handle bars to one side. That way he could go around and around in a big circle until he learned to steer good which was a little before his 2nd birthday. We had this though several moves and it was kept outside alot of the time so I am looking to buy another. With constent shed\garage coverage when not in use I belive this would have lasted several more years! Also I never obeyed the weight limit I would ride on it with my son when he was younger (im about 130 lbs and he was 25...so still over the reccomended weight limit) it never broke because of that, just drove a little slower at times.

This one is by far the one to get.Because it only has one wheel in the front it is easier to use.We have the Hummer and the Harley and the Harley is rode more often.The Hummer is hard for the little ones to steer.The Harley is so easy that my 20 month old can drive it easily.It is also very durable. ... As Good As Daddy's - Just Cheaper In Price!!!!
I got this for my little 3 yr. old.She loves it as she does all Harley Bikes, the real ones.I also got the 16" at the same time for when she gets older.Now turning 4, it is easier for her to use.Initially, the little bike is big on weight.It is built to last and I am sure my little one who turned 1 today (April 14) will inherit it from her when she moves up.She loves it as much as the trike, which was the first she received, and now she wants the scooter.Let's see how that goes as I have heard a few bad reviews.May just need to bite the bullet there!!!Exceptional buy when discounted!!!!I got the little one for $39.99 and the larger one for $59.99.That was $20 off each at the store.Awesome!!!Helmet and accessories??? disapointed!
steering mechanism is faulty. It tips over very easily. Don't forget your protective gear when riding. The push bar is okay. I expected more from radio flyer.

dangerous trike!
My son loves the trike.It is cute, stylish, and the push bar is great when he "lets" use it.But when he rides it himself it falls over with every turn.He has benn scratched and bruised from this fatal flaw. I reccomend it be recalled.

Great idea - poor execution for Radio Flyer
We received the trike as a gift and it seemed so perfect for our toddler.Assembly was a little difficult and we had to improvise.After 3 weeks of occasional use, the plastic steering parts began to crack.Radio Flyer was quick to send out new parts stating there has been a problem with the plastic parts.Reassembled with new parts and it worked again for another 4 weeks.We took off the steering bar and hoped to use the trike that way.Unfortunately that didn't work either.We just set it out with the garbage which possessed me to write a review. ... 3 Years and still running!
Grandpa & Grandma bought our 2 year old this jeep for his birthday.That was 3 years ago next month.We were thrilled it was a two seater so our older son (3 1/2 at the time) could share it.I highly recommend getting a 2 seater - even if you have one child.It hasn't stopped being used in 3 years - by everyone.My kids, the neighbors, cousins all love it.

Six months ago we had to purchase another battery (...) but overall felt we got a lot of use out of the original battery.We just noticed that the 2 back tires are beginning to wear out.You can realistically expect a couple of years worth of wear.It is a toy.It is made of plastic.And kids (at least my boys) love being on the rough side with it.

The kids love it so much We're considering purchasing two new vehicles next month for birthdays (and retiring our present jeep).They are WELL WORTH THE INVESTMENT!

Best battery vehicle ever!
I got this jeep for my son's first birthday, and he is just about to turn 2, he loves it! He will be able to enjoy it for a long time!

My son LOVES his jeep!
Very easy for 2 adults to assemble. Took my husband and I about 45 minutes. The hardest part was waiting the 18 hours for the battery to be charged to watch my son enjoy his new toy! A word of advice, assemble and charge battery BEFORE giving to your child as a gift! We've had the jeep for 5 months now and it is extremely durable. HE loves to pick up his friend down the street and take him for a ride. He always puts the seatbelt on before driving it, and makes sure any passenger does the same. My only complaint is that it is difficult to steer. My son is just now learing to steer.The steering is very tight, and my son just wasn't strong enough to turn it. Lots of fun for 3 year old!
I was suprised by the number of negative reviews on this item. I actually purchased mine secondhand so I did not have to go through the filling of the base with sand, this was already done.We have had it for about a week and my daughter has bounced on it every day.She just turned three and is pretty big for her age, and she does not have any trouble at all reaching the floor. She really enjoys bouncing on it so I think your child would need to be at least three to be able to enjoy this toy.She has not been able to spin it at all, but since she just enjoys bouncing, I don't think it is necessary.Overall, I think it is an enjoyable toy as long as your child is big enough and old enough to play with it.I do not think I would have paid 60.00 for it though.

My little guy loves it
I read all the reviews but decided to see for myself.First of all, the playground sand was not that difficult to get in, it just took a while to do it but I have spent much more time putting other toys together.With the ball completely inflated, my son, who is almost two, couldn't quite reach the floor.I let some air out of the ball and he could reach the floor and still had plenty of bounce.He still enjoys Mommy helping him bounce but he can do it himself too.In a couple of months, I'm sure he will be able to spin around by himself too.Overall, I think this is a great toy.

Fire Engine for 2
I really think the construction of this is very poor and when you go to install the roof supports the fasteners that they give you are the kind that once you install them they will never come out. I think the company should have dome some more thought into it. There are diifernt kinds of fasteners that are safe for the kids that can be removed like a nylon screw with a nut. Also the roof support does not sit flush in the hole so when you go and tap the bolt in the hole the pole will shift upwards and you can miss the hole. I even tried to contact the company through their e-mail and also tried to call and no one has called me back. This was a birthday gift that I now have to try to get the roof support secured so it is safe. I will never again buy a step 2 product based on this experience. Also the front wheels they are very hard to turn. I tried to move it with nobody in it and the wheels went where ever they wanted to go except the direction that I was heading.

Daycare mom
I have had three of this item in the past 3 months and am not happy with any of them .I am returning the third one soon. Steering and wheels are not working correctly. Two children can tip it over also. I bought it for my grandchildren and the kids in my daycare center.A BIG disappointment for me and a BIG hassle to keep returning it to the factory.
I have the Police car and the kids LOVE it and play with it every day.

Rockin'!
Although it's supposed to be for three years and up, I bought it for my daughter's first birthday. I figured that we could have fun with it anyway. I couldn't have been more right. From the moment she saw it, she only wanted to play on the horse. Initially it started with me putting her on the horse and helping her rock, however within a few months she was climbing up and down and rocking on her own. Not for kids used to motors - too bad for those kids!
The other reviews here complain that their kids did not like it because they were used to "motors" -- that is just plain sad. My kids can drive "motors" when they are adults and driving to work like the rest of us. For now, they are kids, and they can peddle. The idea is excercise. It is not supposed to be super easy. It is the same concept as a big wheel or soap box car... yes, it is hard to go up hills... it is called GRAVITY. That is why people get off their bycicles and push. And, yes sometimes it does require a the assistance of an adult - so if you are used to being hands off, maybe this is not for you. These Ketcars are absolutely fabulous... especially if you have a hill nearby. Our driveway is angled, so it is great. We bought the smaller one when our youngest turned 4. Now, he is 7 and we got him the big one and his now four year old little brother got the smaller one as a hand me down. They just spent the last 3 hours playing happily together racing down our driveway. Fun without batteries? Yes.

Kids love it!
We have had this toy for over 3 years, since my son was 1. Now at 4, he STILL is enjoying it, along with my 2 yr old daughter. They both play with it just about every day, and it is still in great shape. Every single child who comes over to play, gravitates to the car and loves it. I think it is nice to have a toy that doesn't do everything for you and make all the noises for you. The kids can actually be kids and use their imaginations and coordination skills! Definitely worth the money, and then some!

Ihesitated to buy this car for my granddaughter after seeing all the reviews on how hard this car was to put together.My husband and I assembled the car according to the directions and were relieved that it went together so well.My 15 month granddaughter loved the car and wouldn't get out of it all Christmas Day.She opened her other presents in the car, ate in the car and has a wonderful time playing in it.This was a great purchase and I'm glad I ignored the other reviews and bought it for her. ... Super racer !!!!
Well worth the money. I bought this for my 2 yr old for his birthday and it took him no time to learn to ride. Not only my 2 year old can ride it, but my 5 year old also can ride. I have even let them ride together. Does better on a hard surface but does well in the grass with some slipping (flat yard is a must). I have had this racer for 2 months and the gas peddle is going out but Step 2 is sending another no questions asked. #1 custumer service. I would make this purchase again if I see use for one in the future. Super that you have a large age span that can ride. Tired of buying products that they out grow in 1 year. If thinking of buying Power Wheels 4 wheeler for your little one I recommend waiting a few more months and purchase this instead

Buyer Beware, Very Disappointed
We bought this three wheeler for our son who just turned 2 for Christmas. However, it took him until April to just get on and ride it (this due to the jolt you get from stepping on the gas it was kind of scary to him and to the neighbor boy who turned 2 last August).Once they got use to it then it was no problem EXCEPT this vehicle will turn over on your child if they turn it to fast or if they go to fast around a corner.For the same reason they took 3 wheelers off the market they should also take this one off too.I would not recommend this for your child unless they are over 3 1/2 and even then I would not recommend this to be their first vehicle. ... Her first car.....
Yes, my daughter treated this as her very first car. She parked it, and was very territorial with it. This all lasted about 6-8 months. Now she just uses it as a secret storage. If we can't find something of hers, we can always look in the little compartment and find what's missing!! I love this item as she played with all of the features on it. She didn't push herself until she was almost 18 months old, laziness is my guess. I recommend this as an indoor ride on.

It Gets the Job Done
We bought this for our son when he started cruising at about 8 months.At first he was only interested in the noise makers but as he gained confidence he started to really move around with it and now he LOVES it.It has also helped him increase his balance.The base isn't really wide enough for new walkers as they tend to walk with their legs wider apart but our son didn't have any problem working around that.You do need to be careful on floors that aren't carpeted since the wheels will move fast - maybe too fast for a little one.I chose this particular model because it's one of the few on the market WITHOUT noise and lights, etc.It was easy enough to put together but it does take some practice to make the conversion from ride-on to walker.Once you get it, it's a breeze - just make sure you test it with a tug before you let baby have at it.It's very cute and our son loves the toys on it and likes to make a game of "hiding" toys in the storage compartment.

The paint wears off quickly!
This is a cute little fire engine.However, we have been very disapointed because the paint wore off after just 1-2 months!It is so faded that someone asked us if it was an antique!!

Fun toy but difficult to ride
My son loves this fire engine! He likes to play with the bell and the horn, but it is difficult for a parent to push due to the turning radius. It's hard to steer, and barely able to push it in a straight path. This toy is fun, but hard work for the parent and child.

This is an adorable lil' fire engine, and my twin sons love the look of the toy, and enjoy playing with the bell and the horn. But it is also VERY heavy, awkward and has very little in the way of turning radius. The steering wheel just barely turns left and right.
