Although the maker calls this a boy's trike, we think little girls will enjoy itjust as much. It's made of cheerfully (nongender-biased) colored plastic and has largewheels and a wide wheelbase for stability. Very Pleased
My son received this for his first birthday.He can't pedal yet, but loved to sit on the bike and "walk" it.When we go outside, when he sees the big kids riding their bikes, he walks to his and gets on it.I've used it as a stoller to walk him around the neighborhood.He loves it!
I've had similar problems with the foot rest.It is placed in an odd position, so his feet won't stay on it.When his feet fall off, his foot gets stuck between the foot rest and the ground, but I notice this quickly and taught him to hold his feet up.I've had no trouble with the handle, other than my son wants to push it around when he is not riding it.

i read the reviews on this page, and having a destructo-son, i decided to purchase a different item.he loves riding toys and is very rough, so thank you for your input, so i didn't have to make the same mistake as some of you.

Varrooom, Varrooom
This one is best for older/tall toddlers. We got this trike when my son was 19 months. He never learned to keep feet on the movable pegs, I never use the push bar. Now 23 months he is happy to 'ride on' without touching the pegs or pedals. He trundles around the yard going "Varrooom, Varrooom". At 32" tall he still can't reach the pedals. Very Disappointed! :(
My son got this for his second christmas. He was 20 months old. The springs on this horse were so stiff he couldnt do anything with it. You are supposed to push downwards with your weight and it "inches" forward. He couldnt do it at all. The only play he ever got out of it was climbing on and off it a few times. The sound maker (located at the horses face) fell out shortly after getting it also, and wouldnt stay in place. Sold it at a fleamarket for a couple dollars. ... Read more

A good first walker/ride on combo toy
We picked this up for our 15 mos old dtr at our local toy store because she is infatuated with the wiggles.The handle on back helped her with her first steps walking and she now loves to sit on the seat and push herself around.It is a good first car because of it's compact size, low to the ground for little ones.She loves pushing her "babies" in it too and uses it as a doll carriage.Great value for the price!

Not so great!
My daughter tried out a similar car at a friends house and she loved it! So I thought I would go pick one up for her - Well, I guess the one my friend has was older or something, because you could actually steer the front tires where you wanted to go - Not so much with this one. Then, there were no holes for the handle on the back, so her little car is without that feature right now; I am probably going to take it back to get something else. I was disappointed to say the least.

Overall, I thought this toy was easily assembled (at least as easy as any other child's toy.We needed to punch a hole for one screw, and the bar for the handle just reaches, but really not that bad), and for the amount of fun my 15-month-old has gotten out of it in the week or so she's had it, it was worth it.My daughter loves it and does well with it.It's just the right size for her to climb on and off of herself - which is very important to her. For TODDLERS only!
I ordered this for my 8 year old grandson to use with a razor scooter.I totally relied on the information provided on the website recommending it for ages 6 - 12 yrs.My grandson is thin and average build, so I was sure it would fit.He could not even get the pads on!It would probably fit a normal size two year old.

TOO SMALL!!!
I was really excited to give this to my son for his third birthday with his first bike. Unfortunately, it was too small for his head.He is a little big for his age, but his head is not oversized.No way is this for "ages 4 and up."

Disappointed
I also purchased this item believing it was for children ages 4 and up, as clearly stated in the description. It is NOT!! It is clearly a Toddler's helmet and pad set, when you receive it is written on the box Toddler. The helmet and pads are small, obviously for a toddler. I also had to return it, and as a matter of fact, am still waiting to be credited for it. Amazon should change the description of this item to state Toddler, so it won't be so misleading. Excellant ride-on
I was very suprised at how much my two children (18 and 30 months) love this ride on. We also purchased the Finding Nemo one. My children can't get enough of them. They love to play with all the Characters. The music is a plus for my 30 month old. They both can with a bit of assistance get on and off of this rider.

This is a great ride on toy!
This toy is wonderful! I don't have anything bad to say about it except that we have noticed after an evening of playing with it that it is starting to ride crooked. It no longer rides in a straight line. My daughter is 11 months and she absolutely loves it. Evertime the music plays she starts rocking and making the dalmation rock. I love the fact that you can put the wheels up for rocking play and bring them down for rolling play. My husband and I take turns pushing her back and forth. Appropriate for toy at appropriate age!!!!
I'm amazed at parents saying they bought this toy for a 1st Birthday!!!That is completely dangerous..I agree.This toy is not recommended for a child that young.It is for 2 and up so for all you folks disappointed put it away and give it to them at the appropriate and SAFE time.Even 16mo is probably too young and yes it does not surprise me in the least that they would fall through the hole.They put age recommendations on toys for a REASON.

My 2.5yr old LOVES this car and will not play with anything else.He is a very tall boy at 95% in height and weight and fits very comfortably. I was looking for a good size car that he could use for a few yrs and did not want to get those big motorized cars.This was perfect.We tried the Cozy Coupe with the hard top but saw too many kids climbing on top and tipping it over.We tried the one with the soft convertible top but found the entrance more narrow and my son a more difficult time getting in/out/This one he would hop in/out w/ no problems and had lats of leg room.

DANGEROUS!!!
My son received this for his 1st birthday and we had it stored until now (he is 16 months).Now it will be stored permanently IN THE TRASH!There is no floor plate, which means that a child needs to keep his/her feet up...OK...but what if they put their feet down?Well, they propell forward and smash their face or slide backward and get stuck between the steering wheel and the rough edges of the seat.My son is now nursing a back abrasion and welts on his belly because he got stuck - it took my husband and me to get the thing off him while he screamed.This is overpriced and dangerous.I hope that this review can save one parent the misery of seeing their child in pain from being hurt on the Big Red Car.

So weak it broke in 5 minutes
My son got this toy for his 2 year birthday. Although he loved it and I also thought it was a perfect present, the handle broke after 5 minutes of pushing my son in it. The package says it should hold 84 pounds - my son is 35 pounds and the thing didn't hold his weight. Don't spend your money on this wagon - spend a little bit more money and buy one more sturdy. My husband and I were commenting that we are lucky the wagon broke inside of the house and not outdoors down a hill!

Good Practice for a good price.
This is a fairly sturdy little wagon, I wanted to have a cheap small wagon to see how much I would use one before I plunked down big money. It holds my 2 boys with a very small bit ofroom to spare , they are 4 and 2 years old but my 4 year old is tiny for his age.
They love to pull it about, pull each other in it and I have found it easy to hook it over the push bar of my sons trikeso he can tow his brother in a "trailer".
Assembly was pretty easy, took me about half an hour with my 4 year old telling me in a loud voice how quiet he was being and handing me things I didn't need!

Younger toddlers may not be able to handle big ride-ons, but this one was made with very short legs in mind. The scooter-shaped rider (raised handle bars, wide seat, and storage below for Teddy) is only 9 inches high; just right for tikes who can't ride trikes. Makes a great walker!
My one year old got this for Easter, and we figured he'd have to grow into it, or if anything his 3 yo sister could use the scooter.Turns out they both prefer it in bike mode.My 1yo likes to use it as a walker; he'll grab the handle bars while pushing the bike backwards.So we're hoping to get some extra use out of this toy.But I do agree the wheels don't work the best when they put their weight on it, although it's not too bad to scoot around on the carpet.

BOOOO!!!
This scooter is horrible! It makes a nice seat and that's about all. None of my four boys can get it to roll more than an a few inches at a time before giving up in frustration. I realize that you wouldn't want a scooter to go fast for a toddler but this is ridiculous! It should atleast move...

WAY TOO HARD TO ROLL
MY HUSBAND AND I GOT THIS TOY FOR OUR DAUGHTER THIS PAST X-MAS, SHE WAS 19 MONTHS OLD AT THE TIME AND MASTERS EVERY OTHER TOY SHE GETS. THIS ONE IS SIMPLY TOO HARD FOR HER TO PUSH.
